1 Good evening, friends. It's indeed a privilege to be back in this auditorium tonight, again. Trusting under the leadership of the Holy Spirit to bring to you the message of the Lord as He gives it to me, for the upbuilding of His kingdom, for the glory of His church is our intentions of this meeting tonight.
And we're happy to see the auditorium packed out the first night. So we just trust that the Lord Jesus will continue to bless us as we go on from night to night in the services of the Lord.
Now, each afternoon they have a service, I believe, here. He checked and... Is that right, Brother Fowler? That's to be two o'clock? Two-thirty. And it's an instruction meeting. And I believe, the best that I understood just a little bit ago, I'm asking the one day during the meetings to go up to the Apache Indian reservation (I see some of them are in the meeting tonight.) to have another service up at the Apache reservation.
2 I'll never forget the meetings with the Apaches. And now we're trying to make a date for that. And they'll see the missionary and so forth from the Indian reservation to make arrangements for this meeting. Each afternoon and each evening we'll have services here, the Lord willing, until we announce what day it'll be that we'll be going up there.
And now, we trust that all of you are on praying grounds and love the Lord with all your heart. That's the way to be. And now, to the many here, perhaps, are strangers, maybe your first time. How many has never been in one of our meetings? Let's see your hands, never been in one of our meetings. Just look at the hands. Isn't that...? Well, to them who has been in the meetings, we, and with myself, we certainly welcome you to the first service.
And now, may the Lord bless you, and do something for you, and give you the exceedingly abundantly of His love and grace to you.
3 And now, I was going to begin the meeting to just merely come and have an evangelistic service. I have noticed so much in my meetings going around, that the phenomenal ... phenomena of this way of the Holy Spirit moves in the meetings has been very strange to the American people, because that there's such a mix-up among the American people: So many different denominations with so many different phases of which way they believe. And they become so indoctrinated with their beliefs till they hardly know which way to go.
If there ever was a place that really has become modern Babylon, it's America. I hope that it never touches the shores of Africa or any of those heathen countries. I hope that real solid Gospel teachers get in there first for those people.
4 Well, what causes these things to start up? Hungry hearted children of God, people hungering and thirsting for God. They see something, and away they go and make an issue out of it. There it is: separates brotherhood, tears up the church. But, that's America.
And I have said since coming back, that I would, in the American meetings, to my many tens of thousands of precious friends that I value with all my heart, and some of the loveliest people God has in His kingdom, I consider is my friends in America. Thousands and thousands of them the Lord has given me. And I do appreciate every one of them with all my heart.
And then I thought, after crossing back and forth across the country, I have noticed that one of the greatest things ... difficults that I have in my meeting... When I'm praying for the sick by the gift that the Lord has given me, is not to heal the sick; I have no power to heal the sick, and I don't believe there's anyone else does. That lays in God alone. The only thing I can do is point you to the finished work of Jesus Christ who paid for your redemption and your healing at Calvary. I don't believe there's anyone could ever save a person.
5 Someone not long ago said, "For the glory of God, Brother Branham, I got a little girl here that's crippled, and I want you to heal her for the glory of God, then I'll believe you." And just so happened that there was an infidel standing near.
I said, "What more glory would it be for the little girl to be healed than it would be for a sinner to come to the Lord?" I said, "Here stands a man that's absolutely an unbeliever, a perfect infidel. You save him, and I'll heal the child." I said, "For the glory of God... This little girl will go to heaven if she dies in that case, but that man can't go to heaven in his case. Now, for the glory of God you save him, and I'll heal the girl."
There you are. See, it's all based on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you was a sinner, you'd come tonight, you couldn't be saved tonight. You would have to accept your salvation that was paid for you nineteen hundred years ago, see. Jesus saved you when He died. That's when He saved you. But you have to accept it when He knocks at your heart. Then you accept your salvation; you accept Jesus as your personal Saviour. "He was wounded for your transgressions; with His stripes you was healed." You have to accept Him as your healer on the same basis you accept Him as your Saviour.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 If that isn't the Gospel, I don't know it, friends, of all these years; that's the Gospel as clear as I know. There's no man can save you; he can only present the Word of God to you. That's the only thing he can do, is God's written Word, he can present it. You act upon what you believe, whether it's true or not.
And then in divine healing is the very same thing. There's no man could heal you. Even doctors don't claim to heal you. They can remove a cause, something that the senses can see or feel. But they can't heal, 'cause God's the only one can heal.
We haven't got a doctor that can build a tissue. If he could, he could build an arm out like this if it'd been cut off, see. You could cut a place up and go in the doctor's office and he'd build up the tissue, and you'd come back out perfectly brand new.
You go in the doctor's office with a broken arm, he'd set it together, and mend it together, and heal it over, come back out in a few minutes, your arm would be perfectly whole. You can't do that. The doctor can... If you got a place cut, he can sew it up. If you got a place broke, he could set it. But God does the healing [unclear word]. That's right.
7 So God is the Healer. And God is the Saviour. Psalms 103:3 said, "I'm the Lord who forgiveth all of thine iniquities and healeth all of thy diseases." So it has to come through God.
And now we want to approach this, my friend, sanely, reverently, and Scripturally. It must come from the Scriptures. And if it's not in the Scriptures and the meeting is not carried on absolutely Biblical and Scripturally, then it's wrong; it's just some make-up, mythical, but not real.
So it must come Scripturally. We must approach it sanely, and reverently, and faithfully to believe it.
Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
8 Now, in the meetings as they go on... Now I have noticed that many times people in wondering why that I can't get to no more than what I do. It's because of weakness, not weak physically. I'm, thank the Lord, very strong physically. And when it comes to a place of preaching or what I... I guess I could preach three or four services a day and not pay any attention to it, as far as being weak.
But one time of a vision will pull the life from me. Surely Christians can understand that. See, it's not me that does the work, it's you yourself. You're the one who does it, your faith in God. I just stand as His servant. And then, when your faith is built to a place till it pulls from ... pulls God... And God only uses my lips to say to you what He would say. Do you understand?
9 When the woman touched the hem of the master's garment, where she thought in her heart, If I can do that, I'll be made whole. And she slipped off out in the audience.
And Jesus turned around and said, "Who touched Me?"
And the apostles was very much astonished, 'cause he said, "Everybody's trying to touch Him ... touching You."
He said, "But I perceive that I have gotten weak. Virtue's went out from Me, gotten weak." You understand? One person, gotten weak.
And so he begin to find where that flow was coming from, and as He looked around, He found the woman. He said, "Thy faith has saved thee"; not, "My power has saved thee," but "thy faith" in believing what He was. For she believed what He was.
Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
Mark 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Luke 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
Luke 8:47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
10 Now, the one that smacked Him in the face when He had a rag around His face, and he hit Him on the head, and said, "Now, you're a prophesier; tell us who hit you. We'll believe you." They felt no virtue going ... he felt no virtue going there. It was unbelief. You must believe. "He that cometh to God must believe that He is."
Now, you can come to God. How? There's only one Mediator. That's Jesus Christ. But the minister's sent to preach the Word. And you can hear the minister and come to God through the minister's message, for if the minister's preaching the Word of God, the Holy Spirit that's in your heart will feed on the Word of God. Do you get what I mean?
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
11 Now, so therefore it's not... That's what brings the weakness on. And it's for each and every one.
Each night, every day we give out prayer cards, every day afresh, so everybody can get a prayer card to come. Whether you've come in, in the meeting or whether you've... But you must come for the afternoon service for instructions. The prayer card must be carried by the person who receives it. Because the person must first come to the meetings and have instructions before they can receive a prayer card, inexchangeable. So the person themselves, not somebody that never heard the meeting, knows nothing about it come into the meetings, they'd never be able to receive healing, because they don't know how to do it. You must know how to approach God for healing, like you do with salvation.
12 Then again, that... It isn't a personal contact: The ministry isn't to personally contact. That's one thing that's hurt the American people, and for my own ministry. They believe that they must have hands laid on them or something on that manner, because they've been taught that, especially among the Full Gospel people. The Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, Methodists, Baptists, so forth believes in the anointing of the oil. That's the way they've been taught. So they see something where you have to just look, like, and live, that's a little odd to them.
In the foreign countries, one thing in the supernatural, and the whole group believes with one accord (See), because they're not indoctrinated with different things. They just see it and know it's got to be supernatural. They accept it to be what you say it is. They don't class it nothing else.
13 The Americans have mental telepathy, fortunetellers, mind readers. The Jews with their theology in that day, they said, "He's Beelzebub, the devil, the prince of them, the best fortuneteller in the country," all such as that. And that's the way they failed to receive it. That's the way the American people are failing to receive it.
But to them who really believe and approach, it--no matter where you're at in the building--if you'll approach it reverently, it'll speak to you. That's right. That's true. Try it and see if that isn't right, with a full surrendered heart to do the will of God, and promise Him that you will, and see what happens.
14 Now, I've said I would go across the country. I never get a chance to meet my friends. 'Cause just as soon you meet someone when the anointing is there, well, there it is again right by the person. Then at nighttime, I finish before night comes.
But I thought I would begin at Phoenix. Ministers keep telling me, "Oh, Brother Branham, don't." But in California in the Christian Businessmen, after the Angelus Temple (I've got to be there a few nights.) Then the Christian Businessmen, God helping me, I aim to just preach the Gospel on the basis of the shed blood, and bring the people up, and just pray for them as they pass by.
I tried that in my tabernacle a few weeks ago. Out of about a hundred and something people that come through the prayer line being prayed for, sixteen outstanding miracles was performed before the people left the building (See), just by laying on the hands and praying. Sixteen: That's polio, and crippled arms, and twisted and everything was performed.
15 This way, once in awhile I'll get a person like that. 'Cause I just... Wherever I feel, I just pull a few up to ... people up here to get it started. Maybe I see a person there and maybe, "Here's something wrong with this one; I can see it." But there's no need of telling them; there's not faith there for their healing. So I just don't say nothing, just go ahead.
Here it is over here, and here it is here. But until you see something that you're pretty sure that's going to be done, sometimes I'll speak to that person then, see. That's it, now, for that.
Upon the basis of that... The first for the healing: Faith cometh by hearing and hearing of the Word of God. That's first. Then after that, God has set in the church apostles, prophets, gifts of healing, miracles, speaking with tongues, interpretation of tongues, and all those gifts He has placed in the church for the ... in other words, for the calling together for the edification of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God has set some teachers, evangelists, prophets, working of miracles, gifts of healing. All those things are for the perfecting of the church. Just like the members active in your body, not just at Pentecost, thirty-three years after Pentecost when the Corinthian church was put in order, see. Those things to continue down.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
16 Now, come and pray with us. I love you. And I'm here with all my heart to try to help you, try to help you to make your home a better place to live, to make the community you live in a horrible place to do evil and an easier place to do right. That's the idea. That God would heal you, not just to show His power for healing. He doesn't have to do that. Look at the sunset; you can see His glory. Look at the trees growing. You can see His glory. Listen at His birds sing. They don't sow, neither do they plant, but God feeds them. You can see His glory anywhere.
But that your testimony of healing might be to the glory, that you might tell someone about it, that they too might believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour. That's what it's for.
17 Now, in this blessed Word, talking with Brother Ballard, one of the chairmen, I suppose, of the committee that has us here... We were talking a little while ago, just before coming to the meeting. And I'm going to try to rearrange something for a few nights. And I want you to pray for me.
Now, this is the Word of God. I believe every word of it to be the truth. And now, before... We can open the pages like this, but it takes the Holy Spirit to open the Word to us. Because we're blind in a dark world, and only Christ can do these things for us.
So before we approach Him, let us ... before we approach His Word, rather, let us approach the Author of this Word and ask Him if He'll just open it up to us, that we as children can look into it quietly, sanely, and fundamentally. Will you do it while we bow our heads just a moment in prayer?
18 Our beloved Saviour, we are so happy tonight, because that we can say from our hearts, by the witness of the Word and the Holy Spirit, that You are our Saviour. For our spirit bears witness with Yours, that we're sons and daughters of God.
It does not yet appear just what we'll be at the final wind-up, when this world is no more. But we know that we'll have a body like His, for we're going to see Him as He is. What a glorious hope and a joy in our hearts, how could we feel bad and believe that? That someday we're going to meet Him and see Him, touch Him, walk with Him. And sitting at the wedding supper, come out and take His nail-pierced hands, wipe the tears from our eyes, take away all suffering and sorrow, entering into the joys of the Lord that's been prepared since the foundation of the world.
God, let every man and woman in here tonight lay hold on that promise, and believe it with all their heart. And by believing so they receive everlasting life. For we ask it in His name. Amen.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
19 Just for a few moments. I want to read out of the book of Jude, just one chapter. And it's the 3rd verse of this chapter that I wish read for a Scripture reading just now:
Beloved, ... I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and to exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
May the Lord add His blessings to the reading of His Word.
I'll just keep it a few moments for this. And you pray with me that God will take the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit deliver it to every heart just as we have need.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
20 Now, Jude here writing some thirty years after the first beginning of the Christian dispensation, the birth of our Lord Jesus and the beginning as it issued in of the first dispensation ... or, the Christian dispensation, rather.
Now, to make that clearer, Luke 16:16 said that the law and prophets were until John, and since then the kingdom of heaven has been preached. John preached for six months, his ministry. Then Jesus was introduced by him, and then he decreased, then Jesus increased, as he said.
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
21 Notice, Jude said here that he gave all diligence to write unto the church, that they should earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.
Now, that would... We'd want to think that that was our church. Us Methodists would want to think that's our church. We Baptists want to think that that's our church. We Presbyterians wants to think that that's our church. We Catholics wants to think it's our church. And we Pentecost wants to think it's our church. And every one of us wants to think that that's what our church is doing.
Now, friend, there's only one logical, sensible, fundamental way to see what that is: that's go back and find out what kind of faith they had. Then if we've got that kind of faith in our church, let's contend for it. That's the truth. That's the way to do it. That's really the Scriptural and the only basic way that I would know to approach the subject
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
22 Now, notice it did not say, "Let us contend for the faith that was delivered to Israel in the wilderness"; "Let us contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints." And in order to be a saint, it had to be applied to the Christian dispensation.
Because the word "saint" comes from the word "sanctified, the sanctified ones." And the sanctification comes through the shedding of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:12 and 13 said, "Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people, suffered without the gate." You see it? Saints then would have to be in the New Testament. Contend for that faith, because it was in the dispensation of grace and not under the dispensation of law.
Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
23 Now, then the first One to introduce the message, or the faith, would be our Lord Jesus Christ. John just introduced the Lord Jesus, and Jesus was the product of what God intended for us to contend for. He was. The whole of the Christian faith lays in Jesus Christ, and our faith in Him.
Now, if we can only understand what kind of a faith He taught, what kind of a faith He practiced, then we could see by that, if the early church practiced the same thing, then we should earnestly contend for that type of faith. For it's a commission to us to continue. Hold until He comes.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
24 Now, the first thing we find that when Jesus was born, and we know the story until it comes to the place of His great miraculous works setting in, or when He begin to teach after His baptism. And if we'll notice, quickly, closely, that God was in Christ reconciling Himself ... or, the world to Himself.
The Bible said that God Himself dwelt in Christ Jesus. Jesus said, "The Father dwelleth in Me. So if you can find out what God thinks about mankind, you find out what Jesus said about mankind, and you'll know what the Father thinks about Me."
Even the Father Himself on Mount Transfiguration said, "This is My beloved Son, hear ye Him." Don't hear nothing else but Him.
Now, that... Then we'll have to find out what God's attitude towards... If we can find out through the life of Jesus Christ, what God's attitude was to the sinner, to the sick, to the prostitute, to the gambler, to the beggar, we can find out what God's permanent attitude is towards the same matters today.
Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
25 For He was God's expression. Do you believe that? God was expressing His attitude towards His fallen creation through the Lord Jesus Christ. He expressed Himself that way.
And now, I think Peter on the 2nd chapter, very well gave us an example of what to think when he said there, "Ye men of Israel, Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by signs and wonders, which He did in your midst, which you yourselves are witnesses..." See, Peter said, "Ye men ought to have known that this was God's message to the people." For God was with Him, giving out His message to the people and proving what His attitude was towards Adam's fallen race.
Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
26 I think Peter explained it good to the church. I think Nicodemus gave a very good description of what the Sanhedrin thought of the Lord Jesus--Nicodemus, the man, the ruler who came to Him by night.
Many people laugh because he came by night. But he finally arrived. That's the main thing. You who laughed at him, have you done as good as he did? He finally arrived there. He came by night, and he said to the Lord, "Master, we (Who? Who's we? The Jews, the Sanhedrin.) we know that Thou art a teacher come from God, for no man could do the miracles that You do, except God be with him. We know it." But because of prejudice, because of church affiliation, because of superstition, because of lack of spiritual knowledge, they could not accept Him.
"We know that Thou art a teacher (We know it.) come from God, for no man can do the things that You do, except God be with him." That well describes the attitude of the Sanhedrin to the public.
John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
27 Now, notice, we'll find out what Jesus presented. In the beginning of His ministry He wasn't a man of great dress. He wasn't a man to make Himself conspicuous, any different from any other man. He dressed so much like other people, He could walk among men and they didn't know who He was.
So if we was going to look for the right Jesus in Phoenix tonight, we could not look to a person that's dressed some different in a clerical way. He'd be dressed like an ordinary man. Is that right? He just walked among men. We couldn't look for some great theologian and scholar, with some great amount of honorary degrees and so forth behind His name, because He never had one.
28 Look at Nicodemus coming to Him. Nicodemus was a scholar coming to a man that had no diploma. He was aristocrat coming to a pauper. He was an old teacher coming to the youth. See the difference? But when he come, he come with a open heart seeking the truth. You come that way. Just come the same way with an open heart seeking truth. "Seek and ye shall find; knock, it'll be opened; ask and ye shall receive." That's it. That's the basis that Jesus said to come on.
Now, Jesus when He was here, He was a humble ordinary Man, not so much as a great fiery preacher. He said His voice was not even heard in the streets. He was just an ordinary man. But there was something about Him, that people realized that those things, qualities that was in Him was beyond the ordinary man. They knew it was.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
29 Well then, if they... And I've just said that He was God's example for all Christendom. And He was God's desire. He was God's Gift. And frankly, in Himself He was God Himself, presenting the faith to the people.
Now, we see Him... Oh, I just love this part here, to watch what He done. What did He do that was different?
We notice in the first beginning of His ministry when He first started out, there was a man by the name of Philip got converted. So he goes out and finds Nathanael right quick, and said for Nathanael to "Come, see who I have found, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."
Well now, Nathanael was aristocratic, upright man, very much of a believer, and he turned around quickly, said, "Could there be any good thing come out of Nazareth?"
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
30 Oh, friends, you don't understand... Now, to some of you people that just want to go to a big church because it's a big beautiful building and wouldn't come to a place, regardless of how much you thought God was there, just because it's amongst a poor bunch of illiterate people, let me show you how wrong you are.
Did you realize that only through death can life come? Do you know out of corruption comes life? Did you know even your natural life comes out of corruption? Everything you eat is dead substance to bring blood cells? If you eat a steak tonight, a cow died so you could live. If you eat a potato, the potato died. If you eat kale greens, it died. Something has to die to produce life. That's the reason through cold formal intellectual faith, you can never receive Jesus Christ. You've got to die in order to be born again and live again, going beyond (See), out of corruption.
31 Philip said ... or, Nathanael said, "Could any good thing come out of Nazareth?" What a city.
Now, I think Nathanael asking that question, Philip gave him the best thing that could be given, said, "Come and see." Don't stand off out here and criticize it now, just come over and find out. You come look for yourself. That's the best way to do it. That settles it, doesn't it? Come, see for yourself--very good answer.
So what happened? Nathanael being honest-hearted, he followed Philip. And when he comes... Oh, so much could be said here, but for the cause of time.
John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
32 Look. When he came, and he came up into the line ... or, into the audience... Might've been in the prayer line, it might've been out in the audience, out there somewhere. But when Philip walked up, "I want to find out now if I can introduce Nathanael to Jesus."
And I can see Nathanael as mentally thinking. He walked up in the audience, and the first thing you know, Jesus standing there talking, praying for the sick, or whatever He usually, His procedure was. About eighty percent of His ministry was praying for the sick. So I suppose He might've been praying for the sick, having a lot of people coming by praying for them.
33 And all at once I'd imagine that Nathanael said, "Well, that fellow is just a little different from the ordinary scribe. He doesn't try to dress so fancy. And He's just an ordinary looking man." Maybe... "I like His talk."
And when he got to thinking those things, Jesus turned around, looked at him, and said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile." In other words in the Christian, English version of it today, He would say, "Behold there is a believer who's honest."
Well, Nathanael thought, Now, wait a minute; I just come from over here on the other side of a mountain. Maybe started day before. Now, Philip my friend who got converted, come over and told me. Now, here I am standing here, and the man tells me I'm a believer and a truthful man, which that's right. He said, "Rabbi, You mean me? How did You know that? How do You know anything about me? I'm a stranger to You."
Now, what was Jesus doing? Introducing to the world what God wants the world to have: the faith that Jude said to contend for.
John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
34 Well, I can imagine some of them standing around, say, "Uh-huh. He read his mind. That's what He did," see.
He said, "How did You know me?" Now, look how impossible this would be nearly. Jesus said... Now, he was wondering in his mind. It couldn't have been telepathy. So he was wondering, How did that man know that?
And Jesus said, "Before Philip called you when you was under the tree over there, I saw you." That settled it.
John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
35 He said, "Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel." That settled it.
I can imagine the Pharisees saying, "Now, there He knew that. Now, there's a trick in it somewhere. There's got to be something there." The man... And finally they drew their... They couldn't figure it out, because you cannot figure out God.
God is to be received by faith, not by knowledge. You might read the Word through, and know every word of it, and still be lost. You cannot figure it out. It's by faith are you saved and that through grace, not of works lest any man should boast.
But quickly as soon as he seen the phenomena, he said, "Thou art the Son of God (The believer did.) the King of Israel."
He said, "Because I told you that, you believe?"
Said, "Yes."
Said, "Then you'll see greater than this." 'Cause he's a believer.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
John 1:50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
36 Now, let's look at Him again. That was the faith that Jesus was introducing to the world. Now, He did not at one time, did I ever read, say to the people, "Bring Me this one here, and I'll show you I can heal." He never claimed to be a healer. You can't make the Word of God contradict itself. Jesus said, "It's not Me that doeth the works; it's My father that dwelleth in Me. He doeth the works."
One day He had to go up to Samaria ... or, down to Jericho. Instead of going right straight down to Jericho, He had need to go by the way of Samaria. And when He got up there, He sent the disciples away, being about eleven o'clock, into the city to get some victuals. And while they was gone, a woman (as we call over here "ill famed,") came up to the place to get a jug of water. You'd almost have to go in the orients once to find out what those things really are.
John 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
John 4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
John 4:8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
37 So she come up to get the water, about eleven o'clock in the day. Jesus was sitting over against the wall, probably sitting there looking down, waiting for her to come. So when the woman come, that was perhaps fulfilled what the Father told Him to go by. So He looked over at the woman.
He said, "Bring me a drink."
And they had a segregation in that day, a racial, about like we have today. And said... She said, "Why, it's not customary for Jews to ask Samaritans such."
He said, "But if you knew who you were talking to, you'd ask Me for a drink. And I'd give you water that you don't come here to draw."
Well, now, what if the woman would've upbraided Him right away? But the conversation went on. To my honest opinion, Jesus was trying to contact the woman's spirit.
John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
38 Now, the Scriptures plainly said that He perceived their thoughts. Is that right? Not like a psychic reader. That's the devil. And everything the devil's got, he patterned off of God, for God is the Creator and the only Creator.
Dancing you have; that first started with God. The devil took it. All things, you want to see, that the devil's got, he counterfeited it off of God.
But Jesus speaking to the woman, till He found exactly where her trouble was, then He went right straight to the cause, and said, "Go, get your husband."
She said, "I don't have any."
Said, "That's right. You got five."
Now, listen to the woman's reply, like Nicodemus. Jesus now, the introducer of the faith of the Christians, said, "You had five, and the one you have now is not your husband." Supernatural.
And she said, "Sir, I perceive that You're a prophet. Now, I know Messiah when He comes, He will do these things." The very sign of the Messiah, what you call "the devil" today. Said, "I know that when Messiah cometh, He will do these things, tell us all things. But who are You?"
He said, "I'm He that speaks to you."
Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Luke 5:22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
Luke 6:8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
John 4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
39 The very sign of the Messiah. This Samaritan woman knew that. Said, "I know when Messiah cometh, that'll be the Messiahic sign, that He'll do these things."
Well, then, if Jesus, being the Messiah... You believe that? And is He raised from the dead? Is He the same yesterday, today, and forever? Well, won't He do the same thing? See?
Said, "When Messiah cometh, He'll do these things."
He said, "I am He that speaks with you."
And she ran into the city, said, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever done. Isn't this the very Messiah?" He never told her all things. He just told her that. But if God could show Him that, He could show Him all things. That was the Messiah.
John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
40 The little woman that touched the hem of His garment and run out into the audience. Her faith pulled that gift of God. Well, He was God, through His lips. That's the reason... See? When the Father showed Him a vision, it didn't make Him weak. But when the people's faith pulled it through Him, that's what made Him weak. He said, "I perceive that I've gotten weak." And He looked around, seen her, let her know that her blood issue had stopped, that she was healed. Said, "Thy faith has healed thee."
If that was Jesus then, and that's the faith that He taught, that should be the same Jesus tonight, if He's raised from the dead, 'cause He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
41 Now, a blind man one time, at the walls of Jericho, name of Bartimaeus. He was sitting there crying, begging. He cried after Jesus. Perhaps thousands of people following Him, how could He hear? Some of them hollered, "Away with you, you fortuneteller. Away with Him. He's Beelzebub." The priests reviling Him.
And Jesus, with the sins of the world laying upon His shoulders and His face set to Calvary, knowing He was going straight to Jerusalem to die for the sins of the world, pushing through that crowd.
Some of them hollered, "Hail, hosanna to the King of Jerusalem. Hosanna! Hosanna!" screaming on every side.
The priests say, "You are crazy. That guy's a witch. He's Beelzebub, the devil. He's a fortuneteller. Keep away from such a man." All that howling mob.
Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
Matthew 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
Mark 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
Mark 11:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
John 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
42 Old blind Bartimaeus said, "Who passes?" And he started crying, "Thou Son of David, have mercy."
You think Jesus probably way out on the road there could've ever heard that man's cry? Not through all that howling mob. But what did it? His faith stopped Jesus dead still in His tracks. Jesus stopped with the same thing, to my opinion, that the woman did, turned around, said, "Thy faith has saved thee."
With all that burden and concern, and the destination of every soul that ever lived hung on His shoulders, and He knew it, and He was going to pay the supreme sacrifice; and yet in all that pressing on Him, the faith of a poor, illiterate, blind, ragged beggar stopped Him dead still in His tracks and received what He asked for. Not a priest, they didn't believe it. But an illiterate, blind, ragged beggar, that's what did it.
Oh, praise God in the highest for such a Saviour that would humiliate Himself, and come down into a form of sinful flesh, and be concerned about the poorest man that could live in the country. He was made poor, that through His poverty we may be rich. Oh, man and woman tonight, believe Him and accept it.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Luke 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
Luke 18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
Luke 18:37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
43 Now, one day He passed through the pool of Bethesda. Saint John 5. And the people said that ... or, the Scripture said, rather, that great multitudes... Listen close. Follow me now. Great multitudes of impotent folk laid there. Now, let's see what they looked like, how this impotent folk... What's wrong with them? They were lame, blind, halt, and withered. What a mass of suffering humanity.
Just a little while after the woman had touched His garment, full of virtue, and here comes the Son of God right through a mess of people like that, perhaps ten times what's sitting in this building tonight, waiting for the moving of the water. A mother with a waterhead baby, a poor old blind daddy, one crippled up with arthritis sitting, blind, lepers, and everything else, twisted, lame, halt, withered, waiting for moving of the water.
John 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
John 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
44 And Jesus, God, Emmanuel, full of virtue, full of love, full of compassion moved right through that audience without touching a one. See, friends, you fail to understand between the spiritual and the natural.
I've seen men, theologians to the highest degree and knowed no more about the spiritual things, than a Hottentot would know about an Egyptian knight, see. They understand Scriptural things but not spiritual things.
The Pharisees, very fundamental and orthodox, but failed to understand the spiritual things, so they said He was a spiritualist, or a devil; that is a spiritualist, see. 'Cause they'd seen phenomenal, and they failed recognize it; because they were just lettered altogether: fundamental in doctrine, but nothing in a vindication. Amen. I hope you see it.
45 Notice, now those people come by like people today with a love, they talk about love. There's two different kinds of love: Agapao love, phileo love. Phileo love, agapao love and phileo love, one is divine and the other is earthly.
Agapao love, it would make... If you seen a man going over putting his arms around your wife, the agapao love would make you shoot that man to the ground and kill him. 'Cause it's human love that you love your wife that well.
But a phileo love, the love of God, would make you put your arms around him and pray for his lost soul, as a lost brother. Turns you altogether around.
46 And that's the way Jesus, full of love and compassion, passed through these people, with love and compassion. But when we think, This poor man laying here. This poor child that's a dying. This that. That is the agapao love. That's our love. That's our compassion we have. That's humanly speaking.
But phileo love is to do the will of Him that sent Him--divine love. He passed through that crowd of all them twisted, and lame, halt people, went right over there to a man laying on a little pallet. Now, watch; Jesus knew... I'm coming back to this in a minute. Jesus knew the man had been there. And He hunted around till He found that man. Wonder why? Looked all through that audience, till He found the man, like He did to the woman, looked through to find who it was touched His garment. When He found the man, he said, "Will thou be made whole?"
He said, "Sir, I have no one to put me in the water. I can walk. I'm not crippled. I'm all right. But I've got a disease that's been retarded for thirty-eight years." The man never said that, but Jesus knew that. So he said, "I've had a disease..." It wasn't going to kill him. But said, "When I'm coming to the water, someone who can outrun me, in other words, steps down before me."
Jesus said, "Rise, take up your bed and go into the house." He picked up his bed and started off.
John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
47 The Jews found him. They begin to question him. Then they brought Jesus in and questioned Him. And when they questioned Jesus... Listen. What would say tonight in a divine healing service if the mayor of the city was deformed and laying here to be healed, and here stood the president of the United States, the governor, congressman, and all them, maybe, with cancer, or tuberculosis laying twisted and bound, laying on a cot, and God would come around and heal some poor illiterate colored woman or boy? See, that's the way God does it. You get what I mean?
Go up here on the Apache reservation and heal him. He don't even know his A, B's and C's. God doesn't look at human prestige. He looks at the simplicity of faith. There.
48 Jesus said to them... No doubt they said to him, "Let me see you go down and heal this one. I'll believe it." They said that to Him. "Come down off the cross, and we'll believe you." Put a rag around His face, said, "Now, you perceive thoughts. You tell people what's wrong with them and so forth." Put a rag around His head, and hit Him on the head, and said, "Now, tell us who hit you. We'll believe that you're a prophet." He never opened His mouth. God don't clown for people. No. It isn't a stage show. It's the church of the living God in operation.
Matthew 26:67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,
Matthew 26:68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
Matthew 27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
Luke 22:64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
49 Then notice, Jesus then, as soon as the this was done, He said to them... Listen at His words, Saint John 5:19: "Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father doeth, He showeth the Son." Is that right?
Read it when you go home, the 5th chapter of Saint John. Jesus said, "I can't do nothing in Myself." Did He tell the truth? He had to tell the truth. In order to be God, He had to tell the truth. His words were infallible. He said, "I can do nothing in Myself."
Therefore He didn't heal one person in Himself. He said, "The Father shows Me first by a vision what to do, then I go do it. Verily verily I say unto you (John 5:19), the Son can do nothing in Himself; but what He sees the Father doing; that doeth the Son likewise. The Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto."
John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
50 Now, when Lazarus died ... when he was sick, Jesus left the place. He went another day's journey. And they sent for him, He went another day's journey. He just kept going. Very strange wasn't it? But then He turned when He seen the time that the Father had told Him all about the vision and what was going to happen, He turned around and said, "Our friend Lazarus is dead. And for your sake, I'm glad I wasn't there. But I go wake him."
And when He come to the grave, look, showing that the Father had showed Him, said, "Father, I thank Thee Thou hast already... But for these, I say this, because of these that stand by." Then He said, "Lazarus, come forth." And a man had been dead four days stood upon his feet and walked again and lived. Because the Father had showed Him what to do.
John 11:11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
John 11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
John 11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
John 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
John 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
51 Now, to save time, that was the faith that was delivered to the saints. Now, we see if the saints kept it. Now, did they deliver it? You say, "Brother Branham, you just talked about Jesus." All right.
Jesus said, "A little while and the world will see Me no more." The world there is cosmos, meaning "the world order." "The world will see Me no more, no more. Yet ye shall see Me."
Now, he said, "Sure, that was the disciples." See what He said.
"Ye shall see Me for I (personal pronoun), for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world." Is that right? Who's... Now, there's got to be some "worlds" today that won't see it. And there's got to be some "ye's" that will see it.
The Bible said, Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same..." Same in principle, same in power, same in love, same in compassion; "The same yesterday, today, and forever..." Is that right?
Jesus died and rose again and we believe that He rose from the dead. He isn't dead now. He's a living. We try to make Him dead. But He's alive anyhow. He's alive
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
52 Now, notice quickly as we're drawing to a close. Jesus said, "The things that I do (the very same things that I do) shall you, even more than this shall you do, for I go to My Father." You say the word is "greater." Look it up and see what it is. It's "more." How could you do greater? Just more of it, because He could be all ... to every church, everywhere.
"More than this shall you do, for I go to My Father." Is that right? He was to ascend up to God, before He descended again in the form of the Holy Ghost. He was going to make the atonement, then return in the form of the Holy Spirit.
And He said, "A little while the world won't see Me no more, yet you will see Me; for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
53 He gave that commission to His church. Now, let's see what the church did about it. Peter, one of the key men, when he was in prison one time, all hopes was gone, bound in shackles, a pillar of fire, an Angel of light came in the building and loosed the shackles off of Peter's feet and hands, opened up the door before him, and delivered him from the prison.
Peter was on the housetop, and a Jew not wanting to mix with the Gentiles, and God showed him a vision about noontime one day, and told him how to go up to Cornelius, because he was praying and waiting for him. Is that the same things Jesus did?
Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
Acts 10:10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
Acts 10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Acts 10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Acts 10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Acts 10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Acts 10:15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Acts 10:16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Acts 10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
Acts 10:18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
Acts 10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
Acts 10:20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Acts 10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
Acts 10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Acts 10:23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
54 Paul on his road down to Damascus was stricken and was blinded in his eyes. And down in Damascus, the Gospel had been preached down there. And there was a man by the name of Ananias, who had received the Holy Ghost--some little Full Gospel pastor down there by the name of Ananias. And he'd received the Holy Ghost. And he was in his room one day praying, knowing nothing about anything else. And he was a prophet. And the Lord spoke to him and said, "Ananias."
He said, "Here I am, Lord."
He said, "Go up to the street called Straight." Give him a vision. And said, "Go, lay your hands upon Saul, that he might receive his sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost."
He said, "Lord, I've heard great things about him, that he threatens the church, and arrests them, and so forth."
He said, "Behold, he prayeth." That changed it.
Acts 9:2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
Acts 9:8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
Acts 9:9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
Acts 9:10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
Acts 9:11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
Acts 9:12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
Acts 9:13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
Acts 9:14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
55 Here went Ananias, up through the street of maybe some other avenue, till he hit the street called Straight. Come down along the city fountain looking around saying, "Now, let's see. According to the vision it was such and such a house, I was to look at. There it is right there."
Walked right in. There laid a man rolling in there, blinded from being stricken down from the pillar of fire that hung before him, shining like the sun in its brightness. And he said, "Brother Saul (Amen.), the Lord Jesus appeared to you in the road. Don't say 'not,' Saul, 'cause I've done had a vision. The Lord's done told me." There you are. "Said for me to come lay hands upon you that you might receive your sight."
Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
56 Now, what if his creed said, "Say, I got another fellow across the street here for you to lay his hands on him to get his sight." He couldn't do it. He only could do as God showed him to do. Amen.
Said, "Lay your hands upon you that you might receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." Hallelujah! He laid his hands upon him in obedience to the commission, what God give him to do, the power of Jesus Christ in the resurrection. And everything God told him happened on the minute. That's the way God does it yet. That's the faith that was once delivered to the saints.
57 Paul later on... How many we could call of the characters and such things happening with the saints. Paul was out on a little old ship. He told them not to loose from Crete. But they went out there and fourteen days and nights, every hope that they'd ever be saved was gone. The ship was water-logged. And there it was bouncing through the waters, the people screaming. They wouldn't eat. Knowing that they'd never see their wives and families again.
Paul, just as scared as the rest of them, walking about with chains on him. Any minute the old ship to capsize and go over. That'd be the end of it. No moon and stars, fourteen days and nights. Her pitching back and forth in the storm, no way to hold it nor nothing.
Little old Paul thought perhaps he'd better pray through, for he was... All hopes was gone. He was a man. No matter how much he was acquainted with God, all hopes was gone.
Acts 27:20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
Acts 27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
58 Paul went down in the bulkhead somewhere to pray and stayed all night. The next morning, this little Jew run out and said, "Be of a good cheer." What's happened? "For there stood by me this night, the Angel of God, whose servant I am, saying unto me, 'Don't fear, Paul, you've got to be brought before Caesar; and lo, God has give all these that sail with you.' How must this little old ship I saw in the vision last night, that it must be broke up on a certain shore. Wherefore, brethren," he said, "be of a good courage, for I believe God. It'll be done just as He told me it was."
That's the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Paul, while preaching, looked upon a man and perceived his faith and said, "Stand up. The Lord Jesus makes you whole."
Do you got that faith in your churches, that's what's operating? Then contend for it. Earnestly contend for it, for the faith that was once delivered to the saints.
Acts 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Acts 14:10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
Acts 27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
Acts 27:23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,
Acts 27:24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
Acts 27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
59 I believe that Jesus is raised from the dead, church. I believe He's alive among us tonight. Do you believe it? And He's here just now. And I believe that He will. I can't say He will. My faith lets me believe that He will, somehow do tonight the same things He did when He walked the shores of Galilee.
That's the faith as far as I know it in the Bible. Jesus promised it. Jesus introduced it. Jesus lived it. God produced it through Him, out of Him, nothing but what the Father showed. The apostles did the same thing. They come against obstacles and could not do it. But when God showed them something, they went and done it. That's right. And that is the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.
60 Now, I want to ask you something now, as I close. If our precious beloved Lord Jesus, the Son of God, in His resurrection power, will come into this audience tonight as a living Being in a form of ... as the Holy Spirit, and will do again through you and I the things that He did here earth, will you accept Him as your personal Saviour, and have no more doubts in your mind? If you will raise your hands and say, by raising your hands...
You mean to tell me only one third of you will believe? What's left for you to do, but to be condemned then? You mean, if the Lord Jesus Himself... How could you ever be forgiven? Let me say one word. What is the unpardonable sin? To reject truth when it's presented to you. Is that right?
Hebrews 10 said, "If we disbelieve (or sin, same thing, sin is unbelief: 'He that believeth not is condemned already.') ... if we disbelieve willfully, after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful looking for the judgments and fiery indignations; which shall devour the adversaries." Is that right?
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Hebrews 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
61 Where was it first told by Jesus? When He was doing the very same things that I promised, by God's help, that He will do sometime while we're in Phoenix. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, I don't know, but asking you if He will... And the people come up and misjudged Him, and said, "He does this by Beelzebub."
He said, "Now, whosoever speaks against the Son of man, that'll be forgiven you. But when I'm dead and raised again and you speak that, reject that same truth through Holy Ghost, you'll never be forgiven in this world or the world to come." Is that the Gospel? That's what was presented to the saints.
Never forgiveness for unbelief when the truth is presented. Shall we pray?
Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
62 Our heavenly Father, upon the basis of the shed blood of Thy beloved Child, the Lord Jesus, upon the witness of the resurrection of His being here, I now come to Thee to ask for pardon and mercy, for myself and this audience, that through Thy divine grace, that You will overlook all our sins and un... and misleadings.
Father, knowing that sin is unbelief... And I pray, God, that You'll wipe all unbelief out of our hearts. For we realize that we're mortal beings. We're now bowing our face to the dust where we was taken from and shall return. And maybe before the sun rises in the morning, that we'll have to stand in Your presence to give an account for every idle word and everything that we've done on this earth. Knowing that in a short time, yea, even science says now it's in sight, that the end shall come.
And one day through Phoenix before long, and through this earth, there won't be one stone left on another. She will be blowed into pieces by the atomic bomb, to fulfill the Word of God that says the whole heavens and earth will be on fire in that day. The atoms of the earth blowing and exploding, screaming, and people reaching for God.
He said, "I will only mock and laugh at you in your calamities." What a time. Father God, I pray in Jesus' name that You'll save sinners tonight.
Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
Proverbs 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
63 And while we have our heads bowed, I wonder if there is someone in here who's not a Christian, just raise your hand, say, "I raise my hand to God and say, 'Now I accept.'" God bless you, sir. Someone else say, "I now accept Jesus as my Saviour." Would you raise your hand, any where on the bottom floor? God bless you, sir. God bless you, lady. God bless you, little girl, I see your hand. God bless you, the little colored lady back there. I see you also.
Someone else say, "I now raise my hand, say, 'Lord, I now believe.'" God bless you, young lady, back there with your hand up then. Someone... God bless you, over here, lady. I see you. God bless you, down here. I see you. "I now believe." God bless you, sonny boy. Someone else on the bottom floor would say... God bless you, sir. God bless you, sir. The Holy Spirit's looking on now.
64 See, the truth shall make you free. Jesus said, "He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death to life." Because he's believed on the Son of God.
Someone else raise... Now, you may have intellectual faith. You may believe it from the standpoint of the Word. But in your heart, in your soul, has the Holy Spirit ever called you there? No matter what your mind says, something in your soul believes. If not, then you're outside of God, outside of Christ, dead, alienated from God, dead in trespasses and sins, a sinner bound towards hell.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
65 Would you raise your hand and say, "I now, by raising my hand, God, want to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. In my heart something tells me that right now I must do it." Would you raise your hand? Someone else on the bottom floor? May God bless you, little lady, I see you.
Just one more on the bottom floor? Just make your decision just now. Now, over to my left in the balcony, would somebody up there raise your hand to God, not to me, just to God; say, "Lord, by raising my hand, I now accept my pardoning by the merits of the Lord Jesus, Thy Son. I now accept it for my salvation." Would you raise your hand, to the left in the balcony?
God bless you, sir. I see your hand. The peace of God rest upon you, my Spanish brother. [Gap in the audio].
66 Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom." You can't understand it. It's a mystic, mythical thing until you're born again. Then the very life of God comes in you. Everlasting, eternal life, Zoe, God's own life comes in you, and then you're a part of God. You're a Son of God or a daughter of God. And then you see as God sees. You believe as God believes. Then you'll be a new creature in Christ Jesus. The Lord bless you now.
I believe now we'll pray for the sick. I want to ask you something, friends. God could do more in one minute to convince people, than I could all night preaching.
I'm going to ask you, if you will out there, get your children near you, and please don't no one walk around during this part of the service.
Now, if you're an unbeliever, don't stay. Now, if you are a believer... And remember, for critics, or unbelief, I am not responsible, so you'll know.
Now, everyone get you a place, be seated, and then just pray, and ask God to help you, and God will bless you, I'm sure. Don't move around. I'll explain it later; I haven't time tonight. This is just one night. We can't get everything in in one night. So I'll just ask you now to be reverent and get a seat and be seated if you will. Do this for the kingdom of God's sake.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
67 Now, how many in the building has prayer cards? Raise up your hands. The boy give out prayer cards today. All right. Here, they're sitting right in here. Is this reserved for the (All right.) ... the sick in here. All right. 1 to a 100? All right.
He gave out a prayer card. Now, on the front of it will be my picture and a place for your name and address, so the ministers can have it if they want to look you up. And in the back here will be a letter A and a number, and it'll begin from 1 to 100.
And let's line some of the people up here to pray for them. Now, remember as I say, I am not telling any one that I can heal the people. Only your faith in Jesus Christ will heal you. Now, I want...
68 Who has the prayer card number 1? Let's see... Is there number 1 prayer card there? 1, 1... Let's see, take the first five: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Would you all come right here? See if you can get up there. If you can't, well, somebody can help you. And if somebody's deaf, well, look at somebody... All five doesn't raise up; there's three of them.
Where's 4 and 5 at? There's the other two; would you come over here, ladies? Right over here to my right, if you will. All right, 5. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Who has prayer card number 6? Raise up your hand. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, let's see them raise up. That'll be five more. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, would you raise up right away, those now, so that we can see where they're at. Stand up so we can see where you are. 6, 7, 8, where's the other two? 9 and 10? What? Oh, you're... Excuse me, lady. I thought maybe they was all sitting here. All right. Come on 9 and 10. All right. Would you come over here?
69 1, 2, 3, 4. There's one more missing. Anyone with prayer card of 6 to 10. Would you stand up? Look at somebody. Maybe he's deaf and can't hear their number called. Maybe it's somebody ... somebody... Would some of the workers or something check these two chairs sitting here. Maybe the people can't get up. Oh, it's there. Do you have it? Okay. That's fine.
All right. All right. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. All right. Now, who has prayer card 11, would you raise up? 11? 12, who has 12? 13, 14, prayer card 14. 15? All right. Let's see how that is now.
Let's wait just a minute and start with these; then start praying for these first. Won't have to stand as long then.
All right. Did you have a prayer called, sir? Come right on out then if you will.
70 Now, will you all be real reverent? And trust that the Lord Jesus Christ, in His infinite mercy, will show mercy to we the unworthy.
Now, how many in the building? Now, be real reverent; listen close. How many in the building that does not have a prayer card, and yet, you want God to heal you? Raise your hands. Just raise up your hand. Anybody in the building? Got prayer cards... Well, it's just solid, all over, and up in the balcony.
71 Now, look, to you without prayer cards, if the Holy Spirit comes and starts His work of the Lord Jesus here in our midst, I ask you... Now, these people here, that doesn't mean you're going to be healed, if they're going to come in the prayer line. That doesn't mean it. You have just the same chance, plumb back there in the back up here, anywhere you want to, if you'll just absolutely believe the plain Gospel, Jesus died for that purpose, and accept it.
Now, if you'll do that and believe with all your heart anywhere through here, that you'll believe with all your heart that the Lord Jesus will grant that to you... Up in the balcony, wherever you are, see if the Lord Jesus doesn't turn around and vindicate the same thing to you.
72 Now, if He'll do that, will you believe? God bless you. Now, let us sing quietly, if you will. Now, that's good, just be real reverent, be real quiet. Now, my son and my manager here, Mr. Moore, the other assistant here, Mr. Brown, and them that's on the platform, they watch.
It becomes a subconscious. I do not know what's going on. I can tell; it goes into another dimension. We'll explain it after some nights now, what happens to the best we can. We can't explain it. But what happens? You go into another world. And then we want to see you tomorrow night. Everybody be reverent.
They watch, and when they think I've got enough, then they take me from the platform.
73 Now, the only thing these are lined up for, is just to get the anointing of the Holy Spirit started. Then your faith... See, it comes down here, and your faith operates it. I don't. I have... Now, these people in the line, there's not of person there that I know. Frankly, I don't see a person in here that I recognize outside of...
I've seen a minister here I thought awhile ago that I knew, I believe sitting right here. If I'm not sure, this is the brother that has the tabernacle. Little fellow, right here, Brother Fuller, is that right? Brother Fuller... Now, there may be others that I know, and I can't recognize them at this time. It's the only persons in here that I really recognize at the time, right now.
74 Now, you're all strangers to me. Now, if Jesus was standing here with this suit on, that He give me, standing here in person, and if you people are sick, could He heal you? No, sir. How can He do what He's already done? Could He save you? No, He'd tell you, "I already did that." The work... When anything is finished, it's finished. Is that right? The work, the complete plan of redemption was finished at Calvary.
And you cannot in no means deal with sin without dealing with sickness, 'cause sickness is an attribute of sin. So the work was finished...
75 Now, the only thing He can do is send some good inspired preacher to preach the Word. If you won't believe that, He might have somebody with a gift of speaking with tongues that He could speak and tell a person, "If you'll go, take this thing back, or do something, or certain..." like that through interpretation. That's the same as prophecy.
Or He has a prophetic gifts, that He puts in the church that magnifies, and lifts Him up, and shows to the people. Then you, right where you're sitting, then you accept that. Then you're healed. See what I mean? Or then you're saved, either one. The Lord bless you now. As we sing low, if you will just once. And everybody be reverent now.
Only believe, only believe.
All things are possible, only believe.
Only believe, only believe,
All things are possible, only believe.
76 As I know that His anointing is coming near. I can see someone ... or, hear someone down way off like in another land, saying, "Why is he singing?" See, here it is.
You remember when they played the music when Elijah ... and the Spirit of God come upon him. He was a man until then; then he was God's servant after that. He saw a vision. Certainly. You have to get God in the midst of it, see. That's right.
The prophet was all discouraged and had been rebuking the false people that were standing by him. He said, "Bring a minstrel." And they begin to play, the minstrel, the music started; then Elijah got into the Spirit and begin to see a vision, see.
It's the same God today. If He loved music then, He loves music now. Same Lord Jesus... The Lord bless you now.
77 For the glory of God, and for the upbuilding of the kingdom of God, I take every spirit into my control, for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. And in His name, may you sit reverent and quiet, and listen to the Spirit of the Lord.
Now, if the operator, engineer of these microphones, if you'll step them up just a little bit, for sometimes after it gets started, I have no idea how loud I'm speaking or how low. Be just real reverent.
78 Now, this woman being coming up here just now, I suppose that we are strangers to each other, are we, lady? You and I are strangers to each other. I've never seen you in my life. And I don't know you. So if anything could be done for you, and I could do it, I'd be a brute not to. But the Lord Jesus knows you. He knows me. And you being a woman and me a man, if God can come on you and use you for faith and can put His Spirit on here, on me, to use me to speak to you about it, then we praise God for it. Isn't that right? If it can.
Of course, if He can't anoint me so that He can show me something to help you, well then, it's my fault or something, or He doesn't desire to do it. And if He can't anoint you, that your faith would cause that to happen, then it can't ... it'd be your fault then.
But, I don't know what you're here for. You know that. But God knows what you're here for. So now, just like the woman at the well, our Lord Jesus talked to her awhile. I think with all my heart He was catching her spirit. See, 'cause you're a human being the same as I am.
79 And if you're ... if it's ... whatever it is. If you're burdened, or if you're sinning, or if there's something wrong in your life, or if you're sick, or whatever it is, the Lord Jesus could let me know that. Wouldn't that be the same Lord Jesus that raised up from the dead, the one that was here on the earth? Does the audience believe that, the same Lord Jesus?
You're from here in Phoenix? Well, then people here that know you, see. I don't know you. But the Lord Jesus knows you. Now, us being totally strangers to each other, and then may the Lord help me. Now, if He'll go right into the spot and tell me what you're standing there for, then you will accept Him as your as ... to give you whatever you want, that you're here for. Is that right? Will the rest of the audience... If God will do that as you see the woman and my hand... I never seen the woman before in my life, know nothing of her. Now, will you accept Him as your healer and Saviour if He'll do it? Thank you.
Now, just talking to you, so that your spirit and mind... Now, your spirit with your faith, and my spirit was the anointing of the Holy Spirit (See?) to know what is wrong.
Now, to the woman, if the audience can still hear me, the woman's very conscious that something's going on. For she knows she's standing in the presence of something. Between her and I stands a light, real bright, emerald-looking light, which is the Angel of the Lord. And the woman is conscious that something's going on.
And she's here for me to pray for her. And her trouble is a depressed, mental condition that's bothering her. She's mentally upset. And she has also been real sick with the case of... It was in her lungs. It was pneumonia. She's had pneumonia and has been very sick, and it's... Those things were true, wasn't it, lady? If that's true, raise your hand.
80 Do you now believe? That voice was speaking then was not my voice. It was my voice, but I wasn't operating it. I do not know what's wrong with the woman. Whatever He said is on the tape down here and you can read it tomorrow. Whatever He said is the truth. That's the truth.
Now, the woman knows. She knows whether it was the truth or not. She's a witness of that, what was in her life, what's wrong. Was it the truth, lady? Every word of it was said was the truth? And while I was talking, or whatever went on there something struck you wasn't it? Because it's light around you. You're healed. You can [unclear words].
Just be real reverent and believe with all your heart.
81 Now... Are you believing, sir, with all your heart? You're the patient I'm talking to. Are we strangers to each other? Are we, sir? We do not know one another. Come here just a little closer, if you will, sir. You've never saw me before? Best of your knowledge you've never saw me. Yes, yes, sir.
The people can hear his voice coming in. Spirits call for help one to another. You've been very nervous recently. You got a sinus trouble bothers you. You have a sinus trouble.
Setting right there got sinus also. That's right. You're praying for get cured of sinus. Your faith does it, lady. Them spirits called one to another.
You got someone else you're interested in, haven't you? You believe that God can let me know who that is and what it is? He can. It's for a niece, isn't it? Got kidney trouble, hasn't she? Is that right? Something struck you then, wasn't it? That was witness of the Holy Spirit. Go and find it just as you have believed.
82 Just have faith. Don't doubt. [Break in tape.] Was that person was healed, did they get back in this audience here somewhere? Something else just... There's a woman that appear... Oh, here it is. It's a ... it's hanging over this lady right here. It's a throat trouble. The lady has a throat trouble. You believe that God will make you well? With all your heart? All right. Just raise up and accept it then, and be made well. Bless you, see.
You don't need a prayer card; you just need faith. Have faith in God.
Is this the patient?
83 Excuse me, lady. I'm not beside myself. It's such an impression it takes on me. We're strangers to each other, I suppose, are we, sister? Now, this our first meeting time as far as I know. Oh, I have prayed for you. When I was here the last time, I prayed for you. Oh, you was healed with cancer, the last time I was here. Well, I'm so happy to hear that.
Now, it would've probably told that that later on, or whatever it was. Of that I couldn't say. I just ... I have no way of saying. He just... 'Course you just coming through a prayer line... Tomorrow I would never remember you. The only thing it is, is just picked up on the tape here, and I find it that way.
But was you in one of these kind of prayer lines? Just like this? And just exactly what it told you, was it the truth? And what it told you would come to pass, did it happen just the way it told you, that you would be healed, and the Lord...? Oh, it called you out in the audience in the chair. Oh, in the chair, sitting in the chair... We're thankful for that, sister.
84 Now, you're here again. I'm a stranger to you. I do not know you. I've never seen you in my life, outside of that time, but not to know you. Now, if the audience will... The lady's here at Phoenix. You know her. You hear our voices here, each of us. This microphone picking it up. If the Lord Jesus... Now, she told me that she had been healed of... What was it, sister? Cancer. At another meeting, while she was sitting in the chair, perhaps, like them ladies, or peoples, or whoever it is that's been healed out in there.
Now, here she is as a living witness. Now, if the Holy Spirit will reveal to that woman... What she here for? It may be a financial. It may be a domestic trouble. I could not tell you. Only God knows. I don't. The lady knows that. I have no way of knowing what you're here for now. Isn't that right, lady? No way at all of knowing what she's here for, but someone here does know.
85 And the faith that was once delivered to the saints is the faith with the Lord Jesus Christ in His resurrection. He can tell me what's wrong with her. Now, if He does, I'll be thankful. If He doesn't, I'll still be thankful, for I know He's here.
And if He does, will one hundred percent of you, everyone, believe with all your heart? Now, just a little closer, sister. See, the spirits coming from everywhere now. And it's... You know what I mean? When visions starts, I have no way of knowing where it's coming from. I just have to contact the spirit of the person involved.
Now, just to speak to you just for a moment. You don't have to look to me. Just look any way you want to. Just so I can catch your spirit. That's what I mean.
You believing? All right. God be with you. Your faith healed you. You've been... Something wrong, it's the inside down here in the intestinal. It's a... You've had a... I see you going into some kind of a place, that's a ... with something white over you. It's a hospital. You've been into a hospital. And they are... It's an operation, and they take something from the inside, pulling it out. It's the intestinal colon. They take out and cut. And then I see they're putting something back in its place. It's a plastic surgery that they're performing in the colon. And now, I see it again. It's twisted around like this. And that's what you're here for. "Thus saith the Lord."
86 Those things whatever He said, is that the truth, lady? If it is, would you raise up your hand, and say it's the truth? You believe you're in His presence? You know your brother has no way of knowing those things. God alone, is that right. Come here just a moment.
Kind heavenly Father, while the Holy Spirit is anointing here, I, following instructions of my Lord, which said, "These signs shall follow the believer: If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." This I do in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. God bless you, lady. May God grant unto you your desire.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
87 Do you believe Him with all your heart? Be real reverent; don't move. You see, you're every one, every spirit's moving in here, you see. And when you change, like that it throws me off. So be real reverent now, please. He keeps moving through the audience, you see? If you turn, facing the audience, you just feel it like... Oh, I can't explain it. But I just have to follow what He says do.
How do you do, lady? We are strangers to each other, I suppose, mother, aren't we? We're strangers. All right. I just want to talk to you a minute. You are aware right now that you're in the presence of something besides a man. That's right. You're aware of that 'cause you're a believer, and you know that there's something besides this poor man standing here.
88 You're suffering with a sinus condition. And you got a burden way down deep in your heart. See, your conditions is minor, but there's something appeared before me. Yes, I see it coming back again. Oh, my. You are a mother and you have a daughter. And the daughter is doing evil. And you want prayer for her. She's an alcoholic. You want prayer for your daughter. Those things were said are true, aren't they? Come here just a minute.
O merciful Father, the God of heaven give mercy and peace to this our beloved one. And may the deep desire of her heart, whatever it may be, be granted. This I ask in Jesus' name. Amen. God bless you, sister.
Just believe; have faith. Don't doubt. Believe, and you will receive. Please don't move around. Someday, glorious day when it's all over, you'll realize...
89 How do you do, lady? Are we strangers to each other? We've never met each other, never in life. Well, but Jesus knowed you since you was born. He knowed me since I was born. And perhaps back yonder before either was born, He knowed we was going to meet here tonight. He is an infinite God who knows all things. Predestinated certain things to take place, even before the world was ever formed, He foreknew all things.
If God will help me to know what your trouble is, will you be willing to accept what He tells you to do? You will? Now, us being strangers, never knew one another... They give you a prayer card, and your number was called. That's all there is to it. And then... But God knows all about it.
Now, just believe that you're... Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe me to be His servant. I have nothing I can do to help you. I can't do nothing. It'll be what I told you about the Lord, that He loves you and wants to do for you. Now, the only thing He can do, is do something that would lift your faith up to a place to get what you come for. Isn't that right?
90 There's really not much wrong with you. You're nervous, all upset. I see it turning dark, just a moment. It's a... I see a desert valley and a hill laying back to this side of it. And it's concerning a loved one. It's a daughter. And she... If I'm not mistaken, the hill that I'm looking in front of me, it's at Tucson, Arizona. And that daughter is very unhappy. And she's suffering with a mental condition. She thinks she's going mad, going wild. She walks the floor a whole lot and does lots of things. Keeps looking out a window, constantly faces that way, down that way. Those things are true. Now, give me the handkerchief you have in your hand.
Our heavenly Father, Creator of heavens and earth, the author of everlasting life, giver of every good gift, send Thy blessings to this one, Lord. And I pray that when this is performed that Your great Spirit will honor faith. For I ask in Jesus' name. Amen. God bless you. The Lord grant it to you, sister, the very deep desire of your heart, that Jesus Christ, God's Son...
91 You believing, young man? You're trying to reach me, aren't you? Your faith... You're just a little disappointed, because you wasn't called a few moments ago. You don't have to do that. You're trying to get rid of something, aren't you? Not exactly a disease; it's temper, fly off real quick, get angry. Will you accept my words as being coming from the Lord Jesus? Will you believe me as His servant? Stand up on your feet. Put your hand over your heart. Raise your other hand to God.
Our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, this boy's faith has touched You. I rebuke the trouble that's wrong with him, and may he never be bothered again. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen. God bless you.
92 How do you do, lady? Look this way just a moment. You believe? It's not you; it's for the baby. If God of heaven will reveal that little baby's conditions to me, and let me tell you what it is, will you believe that Jesus died to do for it, whatever it is? I see it's a certain sickness. Now, that baby is suffering with something wrong with its ... it's in the lungs. And that baby has three ribs missing and part of its lung.
Father God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, bless this one who I bless in Your name, Lord, in Jesus name. Don't be resistant. Go having faith.
93 Believing? Look this way just a moment. Heart trouble's nothing for God to heal. You believe He'll make you well? You accept your healing now of that heart disease and believe that God will make you well?
Father, in the name of Lord Jesus, let this be so for God's glory. Amen. God bless you. Go, believing Him with all your heart.
Do you believe? Something strange when that lady was coughing. Made you feel real strange, didn't it? 'Cause you do a lot of it at nighttime. It's a asthmatic condition that's causing it. That's right. You believe that... Can you accept Him now as your healer? Then in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, may you go free, sister, on the basis of your faith.
The Lord bless you. Just have faith. Something wrong with your side, isn't it? You've got side trouble, two of you there in the line. Yes. And the lady just in front of you too. All right. Jesus Christ makes you whole now. Be well. God bless you.
94 Lady, sitting right through here, the lady with your hand up to your mouth, you want to get over that arthritis? You believe that Jesus Christ will make you whole? You believe it with all your heart? If you do, you can have your desire. Just say, "Praise the Lord." And accept your healing and God will grant it to you.
Sister, do you believe God? You know, that I have no way of knowing what's wrong with you. God alone knows it, doesn't He? If God will let me know what's your trouble, will you obey me as His servant and believe God? Then go eat your supper. The ulcer that was in your stomach, and your stomach trouble has left you. You can go eat your supper. God bless you.
I'm a stranger to you, I suppose, sir. But around you is a real dark shadow moving, it's coming to your spirit. You're dying with cancer. That's true. But you can live through Jesus Christ. Do you believe it? Do you accept it? Come here.
Almighty God, in the name of Your Son the Lord Jesus, heal the man. God bless you. Go, and believe with all your heart.
95 Look this way, lady. Now, I don't mean to be looking at me. As Peter and John said, "Look on us." In other words, catch the attention. You want to get over that diabetes and be made well? Let God make you well? You believe He has done it and accept now with all your heart? All right. Go on your road rejoicing. In the name of the Lord.
God bless you, honey. Pray for your grandmother? And you yourself want to be prayed for? You believe Jesus can give you new blood, and take that anemic condition away from you, and make you well? God bless you.
Father God, to this child who doesn't fully develop to this little girl. I take her to Calvary in my arms, in the name of Jesus Christ, for a blood transfusion and may it come. Amen. Bless you, sweetheart. Find your grandmother to be healed.
Acts 3:4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
96 You believing, with all your heart? Do you believe, sir? That's your son back there; it's father and son. If God will tell me what's wrong with your son, even with him sitting on the other side of you, then tell me what's wrong with you, will you be willing to accept the Lord Jesus for healing? You've got heart trouble, haven't you? Your son was cross-eyed, but not now. Now, go on your road rejoicing.
Do you believe? I feel them patting me on the shoulder, which means going take me from the line. How many wants to love the Lord and serve the Lord? You believe that He's the Son of God.
Every one of you that has been an unbeliever and now you believe, would you stand up on your feet just a moment? Every unbeliever that now is a believer, accepted Jesus, would you stand upon your feet? Just remain standing just a moment. If God will hear my prayer for these other things, He surely will this. God bless you, son. God bless you. God bless... Just remain standing everywhere else. God bless you. Up in the balcony, would you stand? Around the altar. Just seems like the whole thing's breaking in now. The Holy Spirit's here, friends. Just everyone stand.
Everyone now that wants to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and wants to be born again, would you stand to your feet just a moment? You'll see the glory of God. Stand up just a moment.
97 Where's the minister? Ask him where a prayer room is.
Now, I'm going to ask God. I want you to file your way in the prayer room, so we can meet you there.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus, grant the forgiveness of sin. Jesus, You've raised from the dead, dear Lord. You're here now, beyond a shadow of a doubt. You're moving upon the people for the last time. Have mercy upon them each, Father.
Grant the healing of their bodies, for every sick person in here. May every person here in Divine Presence be totally and wholly delivered of every disease that they have in their life. As your servant, I condemn every sick person's disease in here, and affliction, and ask through Jesus that it be removed this night, every curse of the devil.
And for these who are standing to accept salvation and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, Almighty God, if I have found favor in Your sight, I pray that You'll grant these hungry hearted people every desire of their heart, through Jesus' name.
I ask the people who are standing to their feet to come to the prayer room right away if you will.

You can find this sermon at ChurchAges.net
1 Good evening, friends. I am happy to be here tonight in the name of the Lord Jesus. And I am sure that our Lord will give us a great blessing for gathering tonight.
I will now have brother to read the Scripture lesson for tonight. We will read Jude the 3rd verse. This will be for our text for the evening. (Third verse of Jude.)
[The interpreter reads the Scripture:]
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
(This is for "Contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints.)
This is a very striking text. It was just thirty-three years after Pentecost. And now they were asked to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. And now there had been a falling away since then.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
2 Now, before we start to speak tonight, I want to make a few statements. Now, I do not claim to be a healer. I am just your brother in Christ. I do not condemn doctors or hospitals or medicine. I believe they are God's gifts to us. He has give us some wonderful things by scientists: automobiles, airplanes, better clothes, many things. And we are very thankful for all these things.
I don't claim to take a doctor's place. I pray for doctors, that they have more success to help God's suffering children. But there are some things that doctors cannot help. Then we have a right to go to Jesus then, to heal us then. And I believe that He will do it.
I have seen Him in my ministry of ten years heal tens of thousands of people: blind, crippled, twisted, lame, halt. I have seen Him raise three people up from the dead after they were pronounced dead, two of them in the United States and one of them in Helsinki, Finland. Why, I'm sure you have heard of that. It swept over the world.
3 He is the same Lord Jesus. You notice in His ministry, He only raised three from the dead in His ministry here on earth. He raised up Jairus' daughter, and the woman's son that was dead, and Lazarus. Three is a confirmation. He could have done more, if the Father would have showed Him.
Now, let us be reverent, and let us take the right attitude towards the Lord Jesus. For, be it assured that your attitude towards any divine gift will determine what results you get from it.
The woman that touched His garment, she felt virtue.
But the man who put a rag over His face and eyes, and said, "I understand that You are a prophet," and then struck Him on the head and said, "Tell us who hit You and we'll believe You." He felt no virtue. It was his approach he went to Jesus.
It's the way you come that's what will happen, just the attitude you take towards it.
Here lays people laying here tonight that are hopeless and helpless outside of Christ. But with Christ, at the end of this meeting, those who have faith will be picking up their beds and going out whole. Do you believe this? The Lord bless you.
Matthew 26:68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
Mark 5:41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
Mark 5:42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
Luke 7:14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
Luke 7:15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
Luke 22:64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
John 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
4 Now, to our text for a few moments. Now, Jude said to earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Not a faith, but the faith. Now, every one of us wants to think that our church has that faith. I hope that we all do. But let us examine the Scriptures, and by the Scriptures see if our church is contending for that faith.
The Catholic, they say they are contending for it. The Lutherans say they have it. The Baptists say they have it. The Presbyterians say they have it. The Pentecostals say they have it. The Nazarenes say they have it. They all claim to have it. There is only one fair way to find out: Let's go back and see what it was. If that is a fair trial, raise up your hand. Thank you.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
5 It said to contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Now, let us go back to where the saints began, and examine our faith by the faith that was delivered to them. Then if we find our faith is like theirs, then we believe that we have the faith that was once delivered to them. That's as fair as I know. For, this is God's resting place for faith. There's no other place that faith can divinely rest, only in the Word of God. True faith can't rest on a creed; neither can it rest in a denomination. It must rest on the Word of God.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
6 Now, when the faith was first introduced to the world, the faith that we're to earnestly contend for, John the Baptist introduced it. He introduced Jesus to the world, and Jesus introduced the faith. Now, let's go back and see what faith He introduced to the world, and then we'll see what we're talking about.
Now, He did not claim to be a healer. If Jesus did not claim to be a healer, then how can some man claim to be a healer? When Jesus was questioned, He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works, but My Father that dwelleth in Me." So, He had nothing to do with it. It was God the Father in Him, that did the works.
When He was baptized with water by John, they bare record seeing that God coming like a dove and going in Him. And then when Jesus went forth to preach, great crowds come to hear Him. And He begin to work miracles among them, and His fame went way abroad. That's when He said, "It's not Me, but the Father that doeth the works."
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
7 Then, let's see some of the works that He did. When Philip was converted, in the beginning of Jesus' ministry, he went first and found Nathanael. And when he found him, he was under a tree, praying. And he called him, he said, "Come, see who I have found: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
Then, when he came, Jesus praying in the prayer line for the people, Jesus looked over and saw him coming, and He said, "Behold an Israelite in whom there is no guile."
Why, it astonished the man. How did He know he was a believer? If I'd say the same thing tonight, I'd say, "There is a true man, a believer." And Philip ... Nathanael said back to Him, "Rabbi, when knowest Thou me?"
He said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw thee."
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
8 And he said, "Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God, the King of the Israel."
Jesus said to him, "Because I said I seen you under the tree, believest thou? Thou shall see greater things." Now what if that would be said today by someone, what would they say about it? How many ever read that, the piece in the Bible? Did you ever read that piece in the Bible? Yes. All right. That is the Scripture.
Now, I think Peter well explained to the church what Jesus was. He said, "Ye men of Israel, Jesus of Nazareth, a Man approved of God among you, by signs and wonders." See, God vindicated Jesus by signs and wonders.
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
John 1:50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
9 And I think that also, that Nicodemus explained what the great ritualistic church thought of Him in that day also. Now, if you'll notice that that was an old teacher, old sage coming to a youthful boy. And there was a man with a scholarship coming to a man that didn't have any earthly education or diploma. But he said... Nicodemus representing the Orthodox church, he said, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God." What? We know. Who knows? The Jews. Everybody knew it, but they couldn't accept it. Their church said they'd put them out if they accepted it.
Said, "We know Thou art a teacher comes from God, for no man could do the things that you do except God be with him." Now, look what He did. He didn't claim to do anything Himself. But He said the Father did it in Him. There was once a woman... [Gap in the audio]
John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
10 "He is a holy Man, and if I touch Him, I'll be made whole." And she touched Him, and then went out into the crowd. Many people had their arms around Him. And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" Why, Peter said, "Why, Lord, all of them's touching You."
But that was a different kind of a touch. He said, "Virtue, or strength, has gone from Me." And He went to looking around and He saw the woman. And He said, "Thy faith has healed thee." That was Jesus yesterday; that's Jesus today; that'll be Jesus forever.
Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
Mark 5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
Mark 5:32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
Luke 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
11 Now, in the city, in the country, many will say, "Let me see Him heal this one and I'll believe it." Jesus could not do that if He was here on earth. Jesus went into His own country. And the Bible said, "Many mighty works He could not do because of their unbelief."
In Saint John 5, Jesus went down to the pool of Bethesda. The Bible says that great multitudes, (means thousands), lay there; lame, blind, withered, halt, lame, waiting for the moving of the water. For, at a certain season, an Angel went down and troubled the waters. And the first one stepping in, with faith, got healed of whatever disease he had.
Now, listen to this closely. Then here come Jesus by the same multitude of people, passed by the cripples, passed by the mother with the big waterhead baby... [Gap in the audio] ... poor old father crippled up with arthritis, laying withered. He was God, Himself. Why didn't He heal them?
Matthew 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
John 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
John 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
12 He went right on through that crowd, and found a man laying on a pallet. And He knew that he was laying there. He wasn't going to die. It wasn't going to kill him. He'd had a disease twenty-eight years. It was probably retarded. He might have had TB, might've had prostate trouble, some disease. He wasn't helpless. He could walk. He said, "When I'm coming down, someone can beat me down there."
Then Jesus said, "Take up thy bed and go to the house." Then he picked up his bed and went on his road.
Now, listen, church. Pay close attention to this. This might determine your position tonight. Now, Jesus... When they found this man packing his bed, they questioned Him, the Jews did. If Jesus came by this group tonight and went over there and healed some man with TB, and passed all this line of stretchers, what would the critics say tomorrow? "See, there's nothing to it." Jesus did that same thing under thousands of people laying there. So, they brought Him up and questioned Him.
Now, listen close. Saint John 5:19. Here's what Jesus Christ said about it. This is the faith that He was presenting to the people. Now, I'm going to quote Jesus' words. He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you..." Verily means "absolutely." "I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself. But what I see the Father doing, that I do also."
John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
13 Otherwise, God showed Jesus a vision on what to do, and then He went and done it. Do you understand it? No flesh glories in the sight of God. It's all in the realm of spirit. Even Jesus, the Son of God, said, "I can heal no one, or do nothing, until the Father shows Me what to do."
How many understands that plainly now? Raise up your hand. Thank you. I just wanted to see if you were really understanding. I hope to see one day when all languages are one. It will be someday, when Jesus returns. Babylon will be forgotten. Do you understand now, that the faith that Jesus produced to the church was not by going out and just whosoever He would heal; it was to who the Father showed Him.
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
14 Now, I want you to listen close. Jesus, when He went away, He said to His disciples, "Go into all the world, (That was Zurich, also.) ... all the world, preach the Gospel to every creature. These signs shall follow them that believe." And all the signs that He gave, one of them was lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
Jesus said, "These things that I do..." What are these things? To look out in the audience, He perceived the people's thoughts. He knew when they come to Him, where they had been and if... Then He said, "These things that I do shall you also, for I..." I is personal pronoun. "I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world." Not the end of the apostles; to the end of the world, to the end of civilization.
The Bible said, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." If you believe that, say, "Amen." He has raised from the dead. He said to the apostles (Listen.), " A little while and the world will see Me no more." That meant "the world order, the unbelievers." "The unbelievers will see Me no more. Yet ye shall see Me, ye, for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world."
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
15 If you are a believer, you can... Jesus is the same today as He was then. If you're an unbeliever, you cast it aside like the Pharisees did, and walk away like they did. You sure wouldn't want to take their place tonight, where they're at. You'd want to take those place who loved Him.
Now, that's the faith that Jesus introduced to the world. Just a moment now. Then He gave that to His apostles to carry it from one to another, to the end of the world.
When Peter, the apostle, was in prison one night, God sent His Angel and delivered him. When he was up on top of the house (in Acts 10), why, he saw a vision of Gentiles he must go to. Same faith Jesus had.
When Saul was on his road to Tarsus, God had a man down there, by the name of Ananias. And when he saw a vision of Paul, and he went down to the street called Straight and found Paul, laid his hands on him. And then when Paul was out on a ship, and it was all waterlogged and fixing to sink, Paul went into the galley and saw a vision that he was going to be saved.
Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
Acts 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
16 Now, that was the faith they had. Do you believe, if Jesus will come here in this audience tonight and will do the same things that He did then, will you accept Him as Lord? Will you do it? Raise your hand. God bless you. Uh-huh. Now, that is a great statement for a man to make. But many of you have read the books, worldwide-circled papers, like Reader's Digest and many magazines, how that the Lord has did these things. And I humbly submit myself tonight for the service of God.
As I close, let me say this. I am just a man, your brother. You have a right to doubt my word. People could come in here and say anything. You have a right to disbelieve that. But when God speaks and says the man is right, then it would be sin to disbelieve. Isn't that right?
17 Let us bow our heads. And I'm going to ask at this time this must be perfect reverence. You who know the Bible, know that this is not playing church. We're dealing with evil spirits. I am not able with one service to explain it all to you. But hear my word. Now, don't move around while the service is in session now.
These men behind me here, they watch me, for it goes into vision. Just one of them almost takes your life. Daniel saw one vision and was troubled at his head for many days. It made Jesus feel virtue go from Him. What would it do to me, a sinner saved by grace?
You must keep your seats. Sometimes evil spirits scream out and show great things at the platform. You must be reverent, for when it goes from one, it'll go to another one, if an unbeliever is in the building. You must be real quiet, be in prayer. Let us pray.
Daniel 7:15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
18 Our Heavenly Father, let Thy blessings rest upon Thy Word, rest upon Thy servant, upon Thy people. And Lord, Thou knowest I know no one here. I cannot even speak their language. But Thou knows everyone. Thou knowest what their heart is. And oh, Great God, in the name of Thy Son Jesus, permit this once more. And let Thy Spirit come on Thy servant, that the people might know that You are not a dead Christ, but You have raised from the dead. And You're the same today as You was then. Oh, eternal God, grant these blessings in the name of Jesus, Thy Son. Amen.
Now, mothers, keep your children near. Don't move around. I will not be responsible for disobedient people from this time through the meeting. Remember, I have said this.
19 Now, we will call the prayer line. Now, they've got a little card, something like this. Look at your card. And look, there's a number on it, and a letter.
And who has prayer card number 1? Raise up your hand. The one that has prayer card number 1, just raise up your hand. Back there? All right. Have the lady to come here. All right. Come here, lady, with prayer card number 1. If my boy and Brother Fandler will go down there to the prayer line. All right.
20 Number 1. Who has number 2? Is that the lady down here? We're forming the line down here. But no one raise, without a card, till I call you. Prayer card number 3? Who has it? Raise... Come right here. Number ... number 4? Who has prayer card number 4? Number 5? Raise up your hand. Prayer card number 5? Look at your neighbor; maybe somebody deaf, can't hear. There might be someone who can't raise up their hand. Look along at these cards.
Number 5? Would you raise up your hand? Do you have it? The lady's probably deaf, see. Number 5. Who has number 6? 6? All right. 7? Raise up your hand. Come. Number 8? Number 8? Prayer card number 8? Number 9? Who has prayer card number 9? If the man can't walk, just leave him sit there and I can come to him. I'll pray for him anyhow. When his number's called, the usher'll go to him and put his hand up when his number's called for the line. Number 10? Prayer card number 10? Would you raise your hand? Number 11? 11? Raise your hand, please [unclear words] 11, 12? 13? 13? Number 14 then? You're losing your place. You won't be permitted another card now. There's too many to be prayed for.
Number 15? Who has prayer card number 15? Raise up your hand. Number 15? Number 16? Well, let's stop at that then. (You'll have to give them a little better than that. You see? 'Cause they'll have to respond to it because it shakes it so hard for me here.)
21 Now, how many in here that does not have prayer cards and you want Jesus to heal you? I ask you this in a challenging word. You look this way to me. Believe that I have represented the Lord Jesus, and God will speak to me, and the Angel of the Lord will go out there and tell me what to tell you. Would that be like Jesus did? If it is, raise your hand. That's...
(What? Billy, you're missing one?) Number 5 prayer card is missing. Somebody with prayer card number 5... It may be a deaf person; my boy can't... Number 5? (Speak it in German there. You got it? Speak in French. Do you speak French? Somebody can speak French. Maybe it might be French. What's that? Prayer card number... (What was that? Tell them to come?) Got all the rest of them lined up as far as we got? All right.
22 Let's bow our head. No more stirring from here on. Be reverent.
Dear Lord, hear Your humble servant. This is a great moment, Father. It might mean the turning of Switzerland. I am not praying that they hear me. But Thou, oh, Holy Father, hear the prayer of Your servant. And now let the Holy Spirit come and do the same works like they did with those who came from Emmaus. He did something different from ordinary men. And they said, "Did not our hearts burn within us?" May we say the same thing after this service tonight. Or, do something a little different, Father, like the ordinary church service, that the people might know that You're the Son of God. I delight in Thee, my Heavenly Father. And now speak, that Thy servant has told truth. In the name of Thy Son, Jesus, I ask it. Amen.
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
23 Now, this cannot be done by man. And I'm sure you Christians appreciate my position at this time: I'm representing your Lord and Saviour, the Lord Jesus. Be real reverent, and be ready to answer if He would call you.
(Now, catch my voice quickly.) Here stands a lady before me. I never saw her in my life. We are perfect strangers to each other. We are strangers. If we are, may the lady raise up her hand. I know her not. I have never seen her. She has never seen me. We were born thousands of miles apart. But God knows her, and God knows me. There's something the girl has come here for. I do not know. There's no way for me to know, unless Jesus would reveal it to me. I am His servant. I believe that the things that He said that He did that I could do also. If God will come...
This is a perfect vision of the Samaritan woman and our Lord master again, man and woman. What did Jesus say to her? He went to speaking to her, said, "Bring Me a drink." And He caught her conversation, to catch her spirit. And as soon as He found where her trouble was, He said, "Go get your husband." That was her trouble.
John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
24 And she said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet." She said, "When Messiah cometh, which is called Christ, He will tell us these things like that. But who are You? You must be a prophet."
He said, "I am He, the Christ." Now, wasn't them things the very sign of Christ?
The woman said herself, said, "When Messiah cometh, He will do these things." He's the same today.
25 Now, I must look at the woman. For the glory of God, for the sake of His Word, and in the name of Jesus Christ, I take everyone under my control. May the Lord add His blessing.
I wish to talk to the woman just a moment. It's very difficulty, for the interpreter will have to catch my voice as I speak to her. The lady is very conscious that something is going on. She knows she's in the presence of something besides her brother, for she is a Christian. And she is suffering with a throat trouble. And it's a tonsil throat. She has been to a doctor just recently, and the doctor is going to operate to take out the tonsils. He look at blood, and bad blood from the bowels. And you speak English. You're from away from here. You have come from north, come from south. And you're from Germany ... Germany. You come by train. You got to go back tonight.
And you got a grandmother with you, who has cancer. And you wish her to be healed. That is true. If that is true, raise your hand. Go lay your hands on your grandmother, for "Thus saith the Holy Spirit, 'You're going home to be well.'" I bless thee, my beloved sister. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, go and be made well. Amen. Go on your road, rejoicing and be happy, telling great things to the people.
Do you believe with all your heart now? Be reverent. The lady, she stands before me, is a stranger to me. I never seen you in my life. We are strangers. We do not even speak the same language, but you are a believer. Your spirit is welcome. If I am strange to you, raise your hand. Do you believe that the Lord Jesus raised from the dead, and you believe that that's Him that you feel now, His presence that you're in?
26 If Jesus stood here where I stand now, and you'd ask for healing, He could not heal you, because He has already did it at Calvary. But He could tell you what was wrong with you, or something to move your faith up, so you'd believe Him. Is that truth? Raise your hand. If Jesus Christ, who is with me now, will tell ... let me know what your trouble is, will you accept Him as your healer?
I see between you and I, as the woman moves back from me, she has something bleeding, blood coming. And it's bleeding in the bowels. You had it for two years. That is right. You accept your healing now? If something is here to tell me what you are... Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." Almighty God, have mercy now. And I pronounce the healing virtue of the Lord Jesus upon this woman, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen. God bless you. May the Lord bless you.
You believe? Reverent, everyone, please. Don't move. It is spiritual, my friend. And I have no way to know except it by spirit. I am just weakening down. I come here, as your brother. I come to help you. Now help me; be reverent.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
27 We are strangers to each other. If that's so, raise hands. I never seen you. Look on me, and believe. If God will tell me what you're here for, will you believe on the Lord Jesus and believe it comes from Him, to help you? You do not live in this country. You come from Germany. You got to go back tonight. You suffer with heart, and you... I see you try to get out of bed and you're stiff. It's rheumatism that's bothering you. You accept my word as God's prophet? Raise up your hand. Raise your feet up and down. Your rheumatism has gone from you. You're well. Your faith has healed you. Go back to your home, rejoicing and tell what God has done for you. Bless thee.
Have faith. Be reverent. Just a moment, please. The Holy Spirit has left me and gone to the audience.
28 There's a lady looking at me. She has on a large hat. There's that light hanging just above her. She is praying that God will heal her. And she has heart trouble, and she has arthritis. The lady's sitting there praying, looking at me. If that's the truth, stand up. You are healed. Your faith made you whole.
Lay your hand on that man sitting next to you, next to you there, over next to you here. Sir, just a few moments ago there was a strange feeling come over you when it was on the woman. Isn't that right? Raise up your hand. You've been suffering with back trouble. Isn't that right? Raise your hand up and wave your hand. You are healed. Your faith makes you whole. Go and be well.
Let us say, "Praise the Lord." Oh, how wonderful! Look this way and believe. You don't have to be up here. Christ is here. That's the same faith that those people had like the woman touched His garment. Look this way and believe, in the name of the Lord Jesus. There's nothing too great for our Lord. He will heal all of you. Believe.
29 Now may I talk to the woman? We are strange to each other. You believe with all your heart? If you do, raise your hand. To the audience, this woman is strange to me. If God will reveal what that woman's here for, let it be whatever it may... If God will let me know what is her trouble, will you accept it and believe that Jesus Christ raised from the dead and doing the same thing He did when He was here on earth? If you will, say, "Amen." What He will do for this woman is what He will do for all of you. It is nothing strange. It's a divine gift.
He tells me in the room just what's taking place in the parts of the world. I am forty years old, past, and He has never one time told me anything but what was perfectly truth. You might write to my city, or anywhere that I have been. It is God, and not your brother.
30 All you along here in these stretchers now look this way. Believe with all your heart, and say to God, "God, if that be You, I do believe it is, then let that man turn and tell me. And what he tells me, I'll believe You." Just have faith now.
The lady seems to move away from me. It's a vision, I see her in some kind of a place. It looks like it's in a... There's men around her with... It's doctors and they have been... She's... A hospital... And got a stomach ... in the stomach and it is cancer. And He says ... the doctor has sent you home. And he's saying that you cannot live and you're going to die with cancer. You have only been out of the hospital six weeks. That is true. Raise a hand.
31 Now, that wasn't my voice talking. Now it's my voice. But what He said was true, isn't it? And if He knows what was, He knows what will be. You believe?
Oh God, Author of life, and Giver of every good gift [unclear words] this woman, as I condemn this power of death of cancer that's binding her [unclear words]. In the name of Jesus Christ [unclear words] from the woman [unclear words] and heal her. Go rejoicing. God makes you well. Do you believe? Have faith. You'll see great things.
Now, the lady. No, I am not reading her mind. Quit thinking that. Stop thinking that, see. Lady, come forward to me. Put your hand over on mine. I have not looked at you in the face. But if our blessed Heavenly Father will show me here what your trouble is, will you accept your healing? If you will, raise your hand. I see the lady moving from a table. It is in her stomach; stomach trouble. That is right. The woman is a nervous woman. She has peptic ulcer in the bottom of the stomach which is making her belch up her food and become sour in her mouth. She's a very nervous person, always dropping things and doing like that. Is that true? Wave your hand if it is. Now, go home and eat your supper. Jesus Christ has healed you.
32 Let us say, "Praise the Lord."
Do you believe, as you come? Do you believe God will heal your heart trouble? You believe? Go on your road. Your faith has made you ... made you whole.
Have faith and come, lady. Be reverent. No one please [unclear words]. They'll take me from the platform. Be reverent. Do you believe God will heal that tumor you got? Raise your hand and accept Him and go [unclear words] take them, brothers, to come. I'm getting weak.
Do you believe God will heal you of the kidney trouble in your back? Then go, rejoicing. God bless you.
Do you believe that God will heal you of your heart trouble? Go, rejoicing. Believe with all your heart. Amen.
33 Do you believe, out in the audience? Look this way, please. What is that lady doing there with the white hat on? As you're standing, I see the Angel of the Lord above the woman. Step back, mister, out of the way. The Holy Spirit is speaking. Just a moment. Tell her to wait. It's on the other woman, the woman with the baby in her arms. Yes. Do you believe me to be God's prophet? If you do, raise up your hand. Your baby is suffering with a brain condition. Is that right? Raise your hand. Raise your hand if it's right. Lay your hand on your baby and believe, and it'll get well. If you can only believe! Do you believe?
34 What do you think, the lady laying here on this stretcher? Do you believe me to be God's prophet? He's the [unclear words]. Yes. You've been laying there praying. And you asked God to let me speak to you. Is that right? Raise your hand. If God will tell me what's your trouble, will you obey me as His prophet? It's a collapsed lung.
[Gap in the audio.] Right. Do you believe me to be His prophet? Then, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, take up your bed and go home. Come up.
Do the rest of you believe? Every man stand up. Oh God, send Thy blessings upon this people and heal every one. May they rise from places and be made well through Jesus Thy holy Son.

1 Thank you, Brother Arganbright. Good evening, friends. That was quite an introduction, wasn't it? The President of the United States.
We're happy to be here tonight, in this auditorium here in Georgetown, Indiana. As I was coming down the road a few moments ago, it kind of brought something to my memory: One of my first healing services I ever had was in Georgetown, Indiana. And how many remembers the Wolf Grove's meeting out here, when I was out at the Wolf Grove? There's somebody's hand up back there, two or three of them, when we was out to Wolf's Grove.
I believe they had a little lady, lived up there in New Albany, had been thirty-five years a cripple: walked for her first time. Or was a midget? I believe it was. And never had walked.
Well, I've still got the same message tonight: Jesus died to save and heal. And I haven't changed it any. Since then, there has been lot of things has happened. I seen over a million souls brought to Jesus Christ. And signs and wonders around the world. Kings and monarchs and potentates have been prayed for and healed by the grace of our God. And we're very happy tonight to know that God is still God. And He doesn't change.
2 I'm happy tonight to see my friend, Dr. Cauble there. I don't know whether anyone has introduced him yet or not, from the Church of the Open Door, in Louisville. Have you been introduced, Brother Cauble? Would you stand up just a moment? I... I don't want to embarrass him, but Dr. Cauble's from the Church of the Open Door. Pretty near everybody knows him, I guess, around here, because he has a radio ministry and a very outstanding ministry.
And then I guess we've had some mighty fine services in Louisville, Kentucky, with Dr. Cauble. It's always a pleasure to get to have him in the meetings. Then these other ministers here, also. I suppose some of them is from the local churches. And, brethren, I may not know you, but I'm happy you're here. And to participate in this little time of fellowship together. It's kind of a quick notice. I didn't know till day before yesterday, I believe it was, that I was coming down.
And Brother Arganbright, one of your boys here from the ... from the neighborhood, why, you know how he works on a spur of a moment. Just as the Spirit seems to lead him, why, he starts moving.
Recently I was---oh, some, six or eight months ago---I was sitting home one day. I just had... fixing to go to Denver, Colorado, in a convention. And this little fellow moved into the house. He said, "Brother Branham, I have a great revelation from the Lord."
I said, "Yes, sir!"
He said, "The Lord is putting Zurich, Switzerland, on my heart to go over." Said, "You want to go with me?"
I said, "Well, I've got one night over at Denver, then I go to another meeting." I said, "Not too important, why?" The more I thought of it, why, it seemed to be, that if I knowed that Brother Arganbright had a revelation for something, it was good and it come from God.
And we went to Switzerland, and the Lord gave us fifty thousand souls. Went from there up to Karlsruhe, Germany, and He give us fifty thousand more, about. That made a hundred thousand souls in that little campaign. How He blessed us. And now we're planning this summer ... or, early this autumn to go back into Africa, and Switzerland, India, many tours around the country.
3 I go now to Minneapolis, Minnesota, up there at some arena for the next service and then down Sioux Falls, over into Old Mexico, down to Old Mexico City, in arena there. We're coming back, going to the East Coast, and then from there to Anchorage, Alaska. Then we'll have some American meetings. We got a new tent coming, seating several thousand people and some vans, and so forth, for a few American meetings, before going back overseas.
We certainly solicit the prayers of you people around here. This is home folks, you know, being back home again. And we certainly appreciate your prayers. And as we come into these little inter-evangelical services, we don't come to represent any church, any denomination, any special groups of people. We only come because we love Jesus, and know that you love Him, too. And we come into these places for a time of fellowship, to fellowship around His Word, and around His promised blessing. And that's the only motivate that we have is for these meetings.
And we're glad tonight to have Brother Tommy Nicholson with us, here. I'm sure he has been introduced by Brother Arganbright, which is the editor for The Christian Men's Voice, internationally. A group of men that I'm proud to belong to them. It's Christian businessmen who has formed their organization, and it's become an international affair. They sponsor me in most of my meetings around the world. And he's the editor of The Christian Men's Voice.
And so, we've been out today, getting some testimonies of old cases, to see whether divine healing lasts or not. We went down to Mrs. Carter. I hope they're here tonight; Georgie and Mrs. Carter. Georgie is one of the cases that was healed, I believe, around fourteen, fifteen years ago.
And one of your local men here, Mr. Hall, which was one of the converts of the Milltown Baptist church, where I used to pastor. And he was healed here a few years ago, of cancer; given up in Louisville, by the doctors and around the country. And he's well, here, tonight, healthy and hearty. I see him sitting present.
4 And we went over to the place where the Angel of the Lord came down and told me what to do. And now, Christian friends, on this point, we come to this thing. We do not claim that we can do any healing, as our ministers ... ministry doesn't feature divine healing, but we believe in divine healing because it's the Gospels.
And no man can heal anyone. Healing doesn't lay in the power of man. Healing lays in the power of God. And God doesn't give man power to heal. God only gave Christ the commission to come to the earth, to die in our stead for our sins and our sickness. The Scripture said, "He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we were [were is a past tense], we were healed." And we believe that upon our confession of faith, that Jesus, our High Priest, has died and rose again to take away sin from the world, and is sitting at the right hand of God the Father, there making intercession upon our confession.
And when He died for our sins... He could not die for sins, without dying for sickness. Sickness is an attribute of sin. Now, maybe you haven't sinned is what causes you to be sick, but it was the cause of sin in the first place, that brought sickness to the world. Before we ever had any sin, we had no sickness. But when sickness came in, sin is an attribute. And now, you cannot deal with sin in any way, without dealing with sickness, or every attribute that sin produced. Sin, when we deal with sin, we deal with death. When we deal... And sickness is the first stage of death---when sickness takes your body.
In a night like this, one little gathering, two days' notice for you people to come out and gather in the building, tonight. It would be hard to try to go into detail, which we would in campaigns where we're lasting for weeks and weeks, to explain: what is sickness? where does it come from? There isn't nothing but what there's a reason for it and there's a cause. And you can't find the cure until you find a cause.
I was saying here not long ago. If I went to a doctor... I'm certainly not against doctors, surgeons, operations, hospitals, they're all God's plan. But if I went to a doctor, and told him I was having a persistent headache, and he'd give me an aspirin, and say, "Now, run along, Billy, this will be all right."
Now that man is brushing me off, see. A real doctor would diagnose my case and see what was wrong with me. Then he'd get to the bottom where it's at, and then start working from there. Well, now that's the way we have to work in divine healing, or in salvation for the soul. If a man comes and says that he's disturbed greatly about his salvation, the first thing to do---you ministers do---you go right down the line till you find, back here, where he side-stepped, or what happened. From there you bring it up. That's the same thing it is in divine healing. Which, divine healing is not some power that God has given to a man. Healing lays alone in the atonement.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
5 I want to ask you something, 'cause I know there's ministers here from the different churches. How would you preach salvation for the soul? The only thing you could not say... We say, "Well, I was converted, Brother Branham. I was saved ten years ago. I was saved twenty years ago." No, that's a mistake. You accepted it, maybe, ten or twenty years ago, but you were saved nineteen hundred years ago, when Jesus died at Calvary. He settled the sin question forever there. There's where He paid the supreme price, made the great sacrifice, that through His death at Calvary, then we have right to salvation. The price is paid.
So, it isn't what you do; it's what He done. And your personal faith has to accept that, brings your salvation. And now, He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we were healed.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
6 I've often made this statement, that you couldn't ... that you could not by any means... If a serpent ... or, some animal had his paw in my side and was cutting into my side and killing me. There's no need of me trying to cut his paw off; just hit him in the head. Kill his head, it kills the whole body.
Well, that's the way it is with divine healing. When Jesus dealt with sickness or sin at Calvary, He had to deal with the head of it, which was sin. And doing so, He dealt with sickness with it. He didn't have to cut off the paw; He just killed the head, and it taken care of the rest of it. So, Jesus come to bring to the human race, everything that Adam's race ... Adam's sin destroyed in the garden of Eden. And now we have the attributes or the earnest of our eternal salvation as we accept Christ as our Saviour, or Christ as our healer. We have the earnest money of our entire redemption when He comes.
We're tempted. All of us are tempted. All of us sin. There's none without sin. Every day you sin. Paul said we had to die daily. And if we say, "We sin ... and have no sin," then the Bible says we make God to lie. And we could not do that. So, we sin daily. And it's grace, God's grace, that saves us.
And as we confess our wrongs, God is just to forgive them. And your confession, as long as it holds good, your salvation is perfect, same as it with divine healing. It's your personal faith in a resurrected Lord Jesus.
So, tonight, I thought I would just... In having this little time of fellowship with you, in this place here where all churches can ... this little group of people can just gather together here, in the little city of Georgetown and we...
1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
7 First, we want to be thankful to the Brother Arganbright and those who made this possible. We want to thank the school board for letting us have this gym room, tonight, for this service. And I want to thank every minister that's here, and every member of any church, whether it is Protestant, Catholic; whether it is Orthodox, Jew, whatever it may be. We're grateful for you to be here. And want you to know that we put no strings, or no attachments on anyone's religion. Whatever you believe, as long as you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and He's your Saviour, you're my brother and sister. And so, that's the way we believe it.
And now, we have His blessed Word here before us. Now, any man that's able to pull that back with his finger, could open it this way, but there's no man can open the Book to understanding, except Christ Himself. The Bible was written by inspiration. Therefore, shall we just bow our heads a moment to speak to the Author before we open His Book?
8 Our kind Heavenly Father, we have gathered here in the name of Thy beloved Son, the Lord Jesus, who died freely for our sins and trespasses. He died that He might save us from a life of sin, and would take us home to heaven some glorious day at His coming. He died, also, that by His stripes that we might be healed of our sickness. "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquity, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we were healed," saith the prophet.
Now, we pray, Thee, Heavenly Father to be merciful to us, and that we just have this one night of gathering here in this city. We pray that You'll bless those who has made this possible for the gathering. And also, those who have gathered with us to fellowship around the Word. And we pray, Father, that You'll bless every one that's in Divine Presence, also. And may it be a night to long be remembered. May it be a night like the apostolic gathering of days ago, when people gathered together, little groups.
One night while the Saint Paul was preaching way into the night, a young man, we're taught, fell from the upper story, and his life was taken from him. And Paul laid his body over the boy; God gave him back his life.
We're thankful to have the same Gospel tonight, to preach to the people. That God still lives and reigns. He heals the sick. He forgives all of our sins.
And Father, we pray tonight, that You'll bless us as a people. And now, Thou has said in Thy humble Word, this: "If you ask the Father anything in My name, I will do it." And we believe that what we ask we receive, because it's according to His Word.
And when we leave here tonight, in different groups, and going to our different homes, will You visit us in such a way, that we'll have a testimony in our heart, and our conversation, as we leave here, will be like those who came from Emmaus on the first resurrection, when they had met the resurrected Lord Jesus for the first time. They said, "Did not our hearts burn within us, when He talked to us by the way?" May You talk to every heart tonight, for we ask it in the name of Thy beloved Son, the Lord Jesus. Amen.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Acts 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
Acts 20:10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
9 Opening to the Gospel of Saint Jude, in the Bible, which is only one book ... one chapter. And in the 3rd verse of this chapter, I wish to read for just a little text to get a context from it, for what I'd like to speak on for the next few moments. Then we will pray for the sick.
Beloved, ... I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and to exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith ... once delivered unto the saints.
May the Lord add His blessings to His Word. This was wrote some thirty-three years after the day of Pentecost, after the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the early saints.
Jude calls himself a servant and brother to Jesus Christ. And He wrote this book to the church and told them that they should earnestly contend. The only place in the sacred writings that has ever told us to contend, because we're not supposed to have contentions among us, but to earnestly contend for a purpose of faith that was once delivered unto the saints. And we're not to contend, and we're not trying to contend. But we're wanting to face this.
If I should ask tonight, how many Methodists was in the crowd? How many Baptists was in the crowd? How many Nazarenes? Pilgrim Holiness? Catholic? There'd be hands go up, in even this little group of people here tonight. There would be many hands go up. And each one of us, in our different denominations, would want to say, "Our church was contending for that faith that was once delivered to the saints." I'd want to say it about the Baptist church. Someone else would want to say it about the Methodist church. Someone else about the Catholic church. And some other one about... It would be that way in the little groups of people.
Now, I want to believe that we're all contending for that faith. I believe that everyone is contending to the best of their knowledge, for the faith. But in this being, so many different denominations, there has got to be something right and something wrong. Now, that's the way, I try to be, my brother, sister, that there's...
Jude 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
10 You never seen a man drunk and sober at the same time. You never seen a black, white bird. There's no such a thing. And there's no right and wrong mixed together. It's either right or it's wrong.
And that's the way that I believe God. If I didn't believe that He was the same God that lived in the days of Moses---He wasn't the same God to fulfill every promise that He made---then I couldn't have faith to accept Him.
Now, there's only ... that's only sensible and reasonable to think that... What good would it do us tonight... You're not here just to be seen. You wouldn't come out in this rain and gather in a little place like this, just to be seen. You're here for one purpose, that's to find something good. And I pray that God will give each one of you something real good that you'll never forget. And each one of you Christians, may He raise your joy to Him, to cause you to serve Him better than you've ever served Him in all your life.
Now what good would it do to serve a God that served Moses ... a God that Moses served, if He wasn't the same God today? What good would it do to serve a historical God, if He's powerless and gone and dead today? I want to ask you that question.
You wouldn't want to do it. Neither would I. If I can't serve a God that's living and right here present, to help me when I have need, then what's the use of serving God? If He was a god, but He isn't a God now, or if He was a God of power, and He'd lost His power now, there's something weakening about that God. Isn't that right?
11 Now, we want to reason it together. There's something wrong if it isn't... If He was and He isn't now, then there's something wrong with God. If God was a great mighty warrior in battle and He was a great healer of diseases, and He was great in all of His attributes in the days gone by, and then He lost all of His power, and He isn't the same today, yet, His Word says He is the same today, promised He would do the very same things, through all ages, until He come again. It's indisputable in the Bible.
12 Hebrews 13 ... 8:13 ... 13:8, rather, says that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." That's the same in principle, the same in power, the same in resurrection, the same omnipotence, the same in omnipresence, the same in all. He's just the same as He was. And everything that He once was, He is today. The Scripture says that's true. All things of Him is the same.
Now, so if we... Each want to believe that, but yet limit Him to a creed. Well, say, "I belong to the Baptist church." I say "Baptist," because that's the church I was ordained in. Well, the Baptist say, "Well, our creed is right." The Methodist wants their creed right. But if we limit God, that creed (I have nothing against it; that's all right.), but if we limit God to that creed, then we limit God. And we try to say that you can walk this far.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
13 Maybe, we don't have the faith to walk where Enoch did, when he took a little walk with God one afternoon and went home with Him, without death. And also of Joshua, who marched around the walls of Jericho thirteen times and shouted real loud and the walls fell down.
We may not have the faith to shout down walls. We may not have faith to walk home with God, but let's not stand in somebody's way who does have that faith. If it doesn't agree with our creeds, and they have faith, let's move right on, and believe. Say, "The Lord bless you, my brother." And go right on. Regardless of what church he belongs to, that makes no difference, as long as he's a Christian and believer. And do you know, Christian friends, that's what the world is wanting to see today.
Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
14 I landed in Bombay, India, where I had the largest crowd of five hundred thousand people. The largest crowd I ever preached to at one time in my life was in Bombay. When I met there, here come the bishop of the Methodist church, and many of the great churches, there come the archbishop, the Hindu, Hinduist church there, and many other of the great outstanding churches. They met me out there where thousands of people come to the airport. And when they come... And they put me up to the Taj Hotel, and they met in a room similar to this, with all the celebrity of the city and the Rajas and everything.
15 And the bishop of the Methodist church, he said, "Brother Branham, we don't accept you as a missionary," he said, "because we don't want to hear the word 'missionary,' said, "because you people in the West, with your western education, does not understand the Scripture in the light of an oriental book." And that's true.
With all of our theology, if you ever go to Jerusalem or to the eastern country where this Bible was written, it's a brand new book to you. Our western ideas are far from the eastern ways. You can't understand the parables, and so forth, the teaching, until you go there and see those same customs lived out today.
And many people would send... I have nothing against seminaries and students and monasteries and so forth, but all of that, you'll never know God. It's only knowing catechism and so forth like that. To know God is to know the person, Christ, Himself, and to know Him is life. Not to know your text book, or to know your creed, or to know your catechism, isn't life. It's to know Christ the person, is life eternal. And that's what we wish to know.
16 Now this bishop said to me, he said, "Rev. Branham, of theology," said, "we had the Bible a thousand-seven-hundred years before you was a nation." That's right. St. Thomas went down and... I stood in the church and preached were Saint Thomas, the original church, that he established in India, when he went down from Jerusalem to India, and established a church.
And he said, "We've had the Bible ever since then. And we've had Christianity since then, but," said, "it's at low-ebb in India." And he said, "We have heard of Dr. Reedhead, the man that came to you." (Which was the president of the great Sudan Missions---the greatest in the world---who came to me.) And he said, "Brother Branham," said, "I've got enough degrees till I could plaster a wall with them, doctor of theology, bachelor's degree, and all kinds of degrees." Said, "I've studied since I was about eight years old. But," he said, "Brother Branham, where is Christ in all of it?" He said, "Has the teachers been wrong?"
17 I said, "The teachers hasn't been wrong, sir." Said, "But what it is," said, "you'll never know Christ by theology. You'll never know Christ by education. You've got to know Christ by a personal experience to be born again of His Spirit that comes down and changes your life and makes you a new creature in Christ Jesus; that's what does the difference." That's what makes the difference of you. Now, that's the reason we have so many different denominations and theories. They're all alright.
But the real thing, Jesus Christ the Son of God, said in St. John, the Gospel of St. John the 4th chapter ... or, the 3rd chapter (pardon me), to Nicodemus, "Except a man be born again of water and Spirit, he will in nowise enter into the kingdom." No matter what church you go to, that's Jesus Christ's own words.
Now to be born means "to be delivered from." Now, unless you are delivered by the Holy Spirit, in your life, to a new life in Christ, then our creeds and things are no good. But they're good, they're all right, they're moral teachings and so forth, which help us, but the real personal Christ Jesus. And that's what's made the meetings what it has been today, and swept around the world, is because by the grace of God, to introduce to the large or small crowds, a resurrected Lord Jesus, right now---present tense---in His same power that He ever was in. We don't have to guess at it.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
18 He said, "Brother Branham, we have the Word. We have the Bible," the bishop said, in India. But said, "What we're interested in, is not your theology." Said, "What we're interested in, 'Has God visited you Yankees with a Spirit or a gift that can make this Bible live again?'" Said, "We know the Bible," and said...
I said, "Well, you just admitted we didn't know it, but I don't know it too well, but I know the Author real well." And I said, "That's the main thing."
He said, "That's what we want to know. Have you faith enough in God to make these divine promises that He has made..." said, "have you faith enough to make them reality?"
I said, "By the grace of God, God will."
And that afternoon I was entertained by seventeen different religions that denied Christianity. Some of them worshipped gnats, and some of them, horses, and some, cattle; and some Buddha, and Mohammedans and so forth. And they all had their theologies, very good. Everything was works. Something that you have to do. Do this, do that. All in works, no grace to it at all.
19 Am I too loud for you? Is this a rebounding? I hope not.
But notice. That night in the prayer line, when the Lord Jesus came on the scene, there sat the Rajas on their pillows and so forth, and it was over two hours getting into the line up to where we could get in the speaker's stand. And when the Lord Jesus came up and told a man that was totally blind for twenty years, seeing the vision over him, and knowed was going to be healed, I challenged everyone of them to come heal the man. Of course, they sat still. But our Lord Jesus gave the man his sight. Thousands times thousands and thousands came to Christ at one time. There it is.
It isn't whether our creeds work, they'll work all right in moral life, but to reproduce the Lord Jesus and His promise is to know Him; not your creed.
Now quickly to our text. And I'll try to be just as quick an I possibly can and get the line started, because it's midweek, and you people work.
Now listen, close. The text says tonight:
Beloved, ... I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation,
This is St. Jude now, writing to the church thirty-three years after Pentecost, and exhorting you that...
... you should earnestly contend for the faith [Not a faith, the faith.] that was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
20 Now, each one of us in our churches, they're fine and I want you to be with your church and support your church and help it for the glory of God. But now let's go back and find out now, there has got be something... If He said, "Earnestly contend for the faith, that was once delivered to the saints," then there's surely some way of knowing what the faith was.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
21 Now, let's go back in the Bible. I think that would be logical and proof enough to all of us, if we go back and see what the saints ... what kind of faith they had. And if we were exhorted to earnestly contend for this faith... We find out what kind of faith they had, then we ought to contend for that faith. In other words, say, "This is right." Now, we find out what it was.
Before they were ever called saints in the Bible, they were in the New Testament. John the Baptist come between the law and Christ, which was a gap, or the keystone, that locked the two dispensations together.
Now we'd have to begin with Christ, if we're going to talk about Christian faith, because He is the beginning of Christian faith. John came---John the Baptist---preached in the wilderness of Judea, and he never done one miracle, never done any signs. But he just condemned the churches, and condemned the priests and the rabbis and so forth. And told them there was coming One.
And at the baptismal service when he was baptizing, he saw Jesus coming with a light following Him. And He said, "Behold, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world."
And Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit came from out of heaven. And the voice from it, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am pleased to dwell." The original translation says, "In whom I am pleased to dwell in." Which God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. He was God in flesh.
Now, now let's notice what kind of a life that He lived. And I want to ask you, something, you people, as we're talking. What He was then, he should be... If that's the faith that He introduced to the world, that ought to be the faith that we should contend for tonight. Is that right? That's right. It should be. All right.
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Peter 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
22 Now, we notice as soon as He started off in His ministry, we'll watch what kind of a ministry He had. We'll start from the first chapter of St. Luke, quoting it by memory, you might read it when you wish to. Saint Luke the 1st chapter, it teaches that Jesus began to go about doing good for the people. He would pray for the sick and they'd be healed. Now, that's one of the things that He did: pray for the sick. And one day, now listen close now, 'cause if you do not listen close and catch every word, it'll be a stumbling block to you, in the next twenty or thirty minutes when the prayer line starts, see.
Now listen close. The first thing we find Jesus doing, after He had chose two or three of His apostles, and one of them's name was Philip. And Philip was a good man, Saint Philip.
And when He seen and knew that that was the Messiah, because He saw Him praying for people and them getting well, he went over around about thirty miles, around behind the mountains there, of Judea, and he found his friend whose name was Nathanael. And Nathanael was under a tree, praying. And he said, "Come, see who I have found, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
And he said, "Could any good thing come out of Nazareth?" Nathanael said.
He said, "Come, see." Now I think that's the best answer that any person could give at any time, is: Before criticizing anything, come and see it first. Look at it yourself. Live in the light of the Bible, and see if it's right. No matter what it seems like and what others say, the religion of Jesus Christ has never been popular, and it never will be popular, because the world knows its own, see. And you're not of the world when you become a Christian, you are a different person from the world. We know that.
Jesus said, "I pray, Father, that they not be of the world." So, you're not of the world. The world... The Bible said, "If you love the world, or the things of the world, the love of God is not even in you." That's the Scripture says that. So, you can't love two masters, Jesus said. You can't love God and mammon. The word mammon, translated means, "the world." And He said, "You'd either serve one and hate the other, or vice versa." Jesus said that in Saint Matthew the 5th chapter. Can't serve God and the world at the same time; you've got to be one or the other.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
23 And God have mercy. That's what's the matter with our people today, that's called Christian in this nation. They're trying to live like the world, and profess to be Christians. And that's the reason, the unbeliever, outside, has such a hard time to make up his mind, is because he sees people that call themselves Christians, live no different from the rest of the world. That's pretty flat, but that's truth. We've got to face truth.
24 There's probably men and women sitting here I'll never see again till I see you at the judgment. And I've got to be truthful and honest, because I've got to face the judgment and meet my words again at the judgment, so I have to be truthful about it.
Now, we notice that Philip, as soon as he found Nathanael, he said, he said, "Come, see who I have found."
And Nathanael, being a righteous man, a good man, he said, "Could there be any good thing come out of Nazareth?"
Nazareth was a mean wicked city, very bad; outlaws, gangsters and so forth, raised up and had outlaw bands in those days, that come out of Nazareth, very vile city. He said, "Could anything good come out of Nazareth?"
He said, "Come and see."
Now, we might ask today, "Could anything good come out of the Methodist church? Could anything good come out of the Baptist church? Presbyterian, or whatever church it may be?" The first thing to do is come and see. Find out.
John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
25 Now, examine it, not by your ritual, not by the catechism, not by one... Examine it by the Word of God. For the Bible said that he that will take away or add to anything that's in this book, God will take his name out of the book of life. Revelations the 21st chapter says that He will do that ... or, 22nd chapter, rather, of the last book of the Bible. He said, "If anybody..." God Himself speaking to the writer, said, "if anyone shall add one word to this book, or take one word out of it, God will take His name from the book of life. And he will be destroyed." So, we must stay exactly with what the Scriptures has got to say.
Now, when he found Nathanael, and he said, "Come, see," so he followed him. Now, let's watch what kind of a man Jesus was. Now, if we wanted to find Jesus tonight, if we went... If somebody told us Jesus Christ was in Georgetown, Indiana, and He was in human flesh like we are tonight, what type of a person would we want to find?
John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
26 Now, this may be shocking. But would we come to find a man that would be dressed a little different from any other man? We wouldn't be looking for Jesus, or we wouldn't find Him, 'cause He dressed just like other men. There's no difference in His dress. Will we come to find men that was great forceful speakers? Great forceful speakers? No, the Bible said, "His voice should not even be heard in the street." Will we come to find a man that was a great boaster of his great church and so... No, sir. The Bible spoke very different of Him. Said, "He was a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief." He wasn't a great carry-on, or go-on, He was a humble man. And He was... Would we find Him among the rich people? He never dwelt with the rich people. Where would we find Him?
You'd find Him among the poor. He went down on the river and found fishermen. Think of the great Orthodox church, with all their great priests and high priests, and their great glamour and glory in that day, and not one time did any apostle or any man of God ever visit it or accept it. When God sent His Son, He sent Him away from it. And He turned and told them that they were in hypocrisy, and told them how bad they were, and everything. And they said that "He has a devil because He don't even believe in our church." See. And they were the church of the day. So, you see, you can't go by church; you've got to go by God. That's where you have ... and by Christ.
Isaiah 42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
27 Now, when Nathanael came up in the road, now we'll see what he found. He found a man standing there, doing something contrary to what the church was teaching. The church taught that the days of miracles was past. But here was Jesus standing there, performing... [Break in tape.]
Anywhere in the building, I don't care where you're at, just raise up your hand say, "God, by this, I want You to heal me, God." That's right. Just about general everywhere. I will tell you what you do. I told you that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is here in the form of the Spirit of God. Is that right? How many Christians believe that? Let's see your hands. That's fine. Then if He's here, and He's the same Lord Jesus, then He has got... He is duty bound to do the same thing. Is that right? Now, He said He couldn't heal. The Father showed Him, and He did what the Father said. Is that right?
Now, standing in the line, I do know this first lady standing here. And I don't know now whether I know anyone else or not. I've seen that lady, about second, or third, from the back, there. I've seen her, but I don't know what her name is; but I've seen her. I guess that's about the only one that I know of. That's about the only one's that I know. All right.
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
28 Now, let's just bow our heads a moment for prayer. Now, Heavenly Father, this is the moment. I have spoke the best of my knowledge of You. Now, dear Lord Jesus, I pray that You'll help me. Thou knowest that I know nothing about these people. Sometimes I know who they are. I don't know their troubles. Thou knowest, You can say anything you wish, and I humble myself and submit myself to Thee, that the great Holy Spirit will come tonight and take this poor unworthy man for the glory of God, and anoint... And don't let me speak my own lips, but let the Holy Spirit speak, and do the works that Jesus Christ the Son of God said, that He would do through His people, through every age. I pray this blessing in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Now, I'm going to ask you one thing. If you'll stand reverently, and be humble, don't doubt, and believe with all your heart, then the Lord God of heaven will no doubt heal your body and make you well.
29 Now, it's your faith. It's not... See? Now this is it. Now, here stands a lady. I believe I know who the woman is I'm not sure. But I believe that I know who she is. Is that right? Don't I know you, lady? I believe I know who you are. That's it. All right.
Now, if you'd come here just a minute. Now, as knowing your name... Not knowing ... is your name Setus or something like that? [Lady says, "No, my sister's name.] Oh, that's your sis... [Lady says, "You knew me when I was Wilson."] You were, I believe... Didn't I know you when I used to work for the Public Service Company, or something? ["Yes."] That's right. I seen your face somewhere. I knowed it. I thought your name was Setus, but Setus is your sister. Is that right? And your name is Wilson. Yes, ma'am.
30 Well, I'm glad to see you again, sister. Now, the Lord bless you. Now, as your brother in Christ, you know that I don't know what you're here, do I? I don't know. No, ma'am, it's a mystery to me, that I do not know. Now, if the Lord Jesus will let me know what you are here for, and what you want of Him, if He will make Himself so positive that He will declare what you want, then will you accept it as coming from Him? ["Yes."] You will? All right.
Now, the audience is catching her voice, and you see the recorders going, that's the way. Now, you watch. Now, if He speaks anything to tell this woman, what she's here for, would not it be the same Spirit that spoke to the woman at the well, that knowed where her trouble was? Would that be right? Then her faith in what is being done, will determine her healing.
Now, to you in the audience that doesn't have prayer cards, believes with all your heart that Jesus Christ is here to heal you, if you'll believe with all your heart, you won't have to be in this prayer line. You certainly won't. The only thing you'll have to do is have faith in God.
31 Now, I would ask you, being that there is epilepsy present... And anybody that has been in the meetings knows what epilepsy does; it sometimes carries on. So now, just be reverent. Just sit still. No matter what takes place, you sit still, see. And just believe in the Lord Jesus and pray. Ask the Heavenly Father to be kind, but, now, if you are an unbeliever, I would not stay, see. So now, this is not playing church. This is facts. We're facing things. If I just only had a few moments longer or another night, that I could explain to you what these things are, that you could see what they really are by scriptural terms. They've give medical names for what they really are in the sight of the Bible.
Now, the sister here, that's standing before me... Now, it's not a telepathy, no, sir. I see her... Now, you couldn't hide your life now if you had to, see. His Spirit is here now.
32 How many ever seen the picture of it? Where they took it? And it's in Washington, DC, the only supernatural Being was ever photographed can be proved, in the world. They have fiction stories of man in a bush, and all like that, but it has always proved out wrong, see. But they took this, and many of you here was present when it was taken.
A few weeks ago, the German camera took it, in Germany, three different times. And it's that that you seen in the picture, is right here now at the platform. Exactly right.
Now, be reverent, don't move around. Keep your children near you and be in prayer, and see what the Holy Spirit will do for us tonight.
And I pray that God will bless you. And sometime on earth, we will meet again. Pray for me, as we go into the fields after this service, into the fields out yonder, in the big meetings to pray for the sick.
Now be reverent, every one, please, because we're in the presence of the Almighty God.
33 The Holy Spirit which is now near, Mrs... What was your name now? Wilson! ["Cobb, now."] Mrs. Cobb. Mrs. Cobb, if the Holy Spirit is present now, He will make known to me something of your life, that might give you encouragement to bring you up to a place to let you believe in the Lord Jesus for your healing or... I don't know what you're here for. It maybe financial troubles, it may be domestic. I do not know. But He knows, doesn't He? ["Yes, He does."] I see the one thing that you're here for is because you're suffering with a nervous condition. You're very nervous, upset. Another thing you have an asthmatic cough that's bothering you. Isn't that right? ["Yes."] That's right. All right.
Now, do you believe that everything is all right with you now? You're healed now. You can go home. ["Praise the Lord."] Jesus Christ, your faith, has made you well. You go and be in prayer.
Kind Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we bless this, our dear sister, and ask that You be kind to her, in Jesus' name. Amen.
34 Come, sir. How do you do, sir? Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ being the Son of the living God? ["Yes, sir. I do."] Do you believe that He is here to make you well? ["Yes, I think I do. I know it."] You know that He is here to make you well?
Was that the lady that was just prayed for? Was you the lady there? Uh-huh! You got trouble with your side, sitting there by her, don't you, sir? You believe that God can make you well and heal you? When she passed by you just then, you had a strange feeling, didn't you? That was the Holy Spirit. You had trouble with your side. Now, it's gone from you now, sir. Your faith has healed you. Is that right? Raise your hand. That's right, that's right. All right, sir.
I don't know the man, I've never seen him in my life. But Jesus Christ has healed him; just the same as his faith touched the Lord Jesus in days gone by---the woman with the blood issue---so did the man's faith touch just then.
You don't have to... What do you think, little lady standing there in the prayer line, with the coat over your shoulder? ["Oh, it's truth. What you said is truth, I believe every word of it."] God bless you.
35 The lady behind you there with her hand up like this. Uh-huh! You'd like to have an operation wouldn't you? You think that tumor, God could take it from you without an operation? You believe God would heal you? You have a tumor, don't you? And, yeah, that's right. You believe that God will heal you without an operation? You do? Will you accept Jesus right now as your healer? You will?
Kind Heavenly Father, the woman's faith struck up here, and I saw the vision before, and the doctor rolling out that place for her operation. I pray, Heavenly Father, that in Jesus Christ's name that You'll heal the woman without an operation. For Your glory. Amen.
You may take your seat now. You won't have to come in the prayer line. Your faith heals you. Amen. God bless you.
Do you believe the Lord Jesus? If you can believe, all things are possible.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
36 Lady, standing, you broke your arm, got your arm hurt there, haven't you, lady? Uh-huh. You're from Corydon, aren't you? Got someone with you, come along, didn't they? She is suffering with a nervous condition, isn't that right? If it is, raise up your hand. All right. Now you can walk out and go back, be healed, too, lady. Amen.
It's your faith. It isn't... Now, that's what I'm speaking of, the Holy Spirit.
Sir? Would you believe your heart trouble had left you and you was going to be well? ["Yeah, I believe it has."] You do? All right, sir. Then you can leave. Amen.
Let us say, "Praise be to God." All of us praise.
37 The lady coming. How do you do? I suppose we're strangers to each other. Are we, lady? I never seen you in my life. I'm perfect stranger to you. Just like the our Master who stood at the well, and talked to the woman. And He said, "Bring Me a drink." He wanted to catch a conversation with her.
Now this being our first time to ever meet in life, it's a man and a woman again; isn't that right? Well, then if Jesus Christ has risen from the dead, and He promised that He would be with us, in us, to the end of the world, and we'd do the same things that He did, it'd have to be the same kind of a thing. Then, if Jesus stood here and He was wearing this suit that He gave me, the only thing He could do as far... If you're sick and need healing, He would tell you, "I did that at Calvary, child." Would you believe it?
Now, but now, He could tell you, something, maybe, that's wrong with you, or something the reason you don't get healed; but me being a stranger to you, it'd just be the same. Isn't that right?
John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
38 Now, everyone, real reverent now. Remember, you're in the presence of the Lord. And the very Gospel that I've read to you, tonight, you see it living anew, see. I've never seen the woman. I don't know nothing about her, never seen her in my life. God knows her. I don't. But now, I would speak to her to contact her soul. The anointing that's here with me now is that Angel of the Lord, the pillar of fire, followed the children of Israel, which was Christ in spirit form, came down, and was made flesh, went back to the Father, came back again to live in His church, the same thing. It's not me, it's Him. I don't know the woman, know nothing of her. Got a seventh grade education.
39 Look at the people who say... Well, out there in the audience, they're being healed, they're sitting in the audience, standing wherever they may. God is here to heal, that's all, if you can believe.
I see a child that's suffering. But I can't say, "It's healed." I don't know you. If you'll keep praying, mother, believing with all your heart.
Now, to you again, sister, to speak with you. Now, there has been a hunger in your heart for a long time. That hunger is a closer life with God. You've tried that, much. Try and fail, try and fail. Isn't that right? Ups and downs in life.
Here some time ago, you were praying somewhere, because you were facing a serious thing like an operation or something. Yes, it is. I see it, a doctor, he has examined... You have something on ... it's your leg. It's on your right leg. Is a trouble that you're going to be operated on. You made a promise if God would let you get well, that you'd serve Him, and walk a closer life. I am not reading your mind. That's true, isn't it? [Lady says, "partly."] If that's true, raise your hand.
40 Now, there's something here that you know. I want to ask you something. In the presence where we're standing now, and so the audience might know, there's a feeling that you have now, that you've never had before in your life. ["No, sir, and I can't explain it to nobody."] That's right. It's because that light, the Holy Spirit is between you and I, and you just go back, even to a little girl... ["Standing in the line, I felt like I just... I could feel a feeling, I can't explain to nobody."] They're feeling the same thing, right along the line there now, see. It's in the presence of something that the world doesn't know.
41 Come here, that I might ask God to bless you, sister. All of you, do you believe with all of your heart now? Do you? Are you believing? If you do, say "Amen."
Kind Heavenly Father, this our dear sister stands here in need. All things work together for good to them who love You. And she's standing needy. And she wants to be well. And this is the time. I pray that just this moment, Father, that You'll take away all of her infirmities, cleanse her from everything that's not like You. And I ask, dear God, that You'll forgive her of every sin and trespass and take her into Your kingdom tonight, as a new born babe and heal her body through Jesus Christ's name, Thy beloved Son, I ask it. Amen.
God bless you, sister. Go rejoicing and happy. God being with you.
42 How do you do, lady? I suppose we're strangers to each other, too, not knowing each other. But if Jesus has risen from the dead, as I say that He has, and I believe that He has, and He'd be standing here with us, you and I, then me talking to you, like He did the woman at the well, and He is able, and by His Word, He promised that He would reveal these things, and we'd do the same things He did, because He would be... He said, "I will be with you, in you, to the end of the world."
Now, don't be shook up because you feel a little strange, but a glorious feeling. But you're just not... That's not your brother. That's Him, your Lord. Not me, Him. Now, the lady is a stranger. Be real reverent, people, real reverent, please, see. I don't know her. God does know her. I don't know the people, but you'll know that there's something here that's doing the work of the Lord, according to the way the Bible said it would be. You believe that now? See?
Well, what is it? It's the Lord Jesus, see. Now, I just want to speak to her again, because I see the woman now as she moves from me. Yes, the woman is very much tore up about... Only she's had a nervous breakdown, been very bad, and had a breakdown. You're still suffering from it. That's the truth, isn't it? [Lady says, "Yes."] If it's truth, raise your hand.
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
43 You've had real funny feelings go through you all the time, and especially real late of an evening, you get real strange feelings. Isn't that right? Then, I see you, you was sitting down in a chair, kind of late of an evening, too, you get tired, you can't do your work. Isn't that right? Causes even stomach condition, in you, like that, acids and things when you drink coffee, or something another on that like, you belch up acids, out of your stomach, and so forth. That's right. I see you moving away from the table where there's stuff like that on, by a window, near a window. Is that true? Raise your hand if that's true.
44 Now, Something here knows your life, isn't it? I told you out of the Bible, that Jesus Christ did the same thing and promised that we'd do the same thing. Do you believe that it's Him? I see a real dark shadow following you, too, which is the devil. And he has almost tempted you to suicide, sometime, telling you that you had crossed the separating line, that you wasn't never going to be saved. Is that right? Is that? ["Yes."]
Do you believe out there in the audience now with all your heart? See? It's perfect. It's true. It's the Lord Jesus. I don't know your opinion. I know some of you are wondering, because you can't hide your life now, see. You know... I couldn't do nothing for you, but you couldn't hide your life if you had to right now. You're in the presence of Him.
Now, sister, if I can, by the grace of God can make it leave you now, and if... You've been wondering for a time of relief anyhow. Now, He will do it if you'll believe Him. Will you believe Him? [Lady says, "Yes."] I will have the prayer, you believe Him.
45 Now, look. You probably never was any closer in your life than you are now. So that the audience will know, and your friend, where you're standing now, a real humble sweet feeling is around you. Isn't that right? Like something near. Not your brother, but something supernatural. If that's right, raise your hand, see. It's the Angel of the Lord, see. I am living now in another dimension, see: in a Spirit world. Now, I want to pray for you, while this anointing...
46 Now the very thing that knows your life, I see it go way back to a little girl. I see you as a little girl. You were running from something. It was something chasing you. It was a dog. It seemed like you was coming from school, or something; way, long ago---scared you. You've been nervous-like all your life. That is true, isn't it? See? There's just ... the more I talk to you the more the vision will show. Now, for the sake of these others, let us pray.
Dear God, Author of life, Lord Jesus, who will judge us all at Your coming, knowing that we are eternity bound people, and will have to meet You some day. Standing here in Your presence, and knowing that right now, here at the platform is the Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and confirming every word.
Father, Thou art so lovely because You make manifest those things that are true. You speak of truth. And the lady stands here, which she is tormented by an evil spirit that's trying to get her to commit suicide and do things wrong. But Thou art here to remove this, Father. And I pray, according to Thy Word, which said, "You ask the Father anything in My name, I will do it." And I know that Your Word is truth.
So, Satan, you evil one that has tormented our sister, I adjure thee in the name of Jesus Christ, the living God, come out from the woman.
Now, look at this way. Now something has happened to you. You're weeping. You don't feel like you did, do you? You feel happy now. Feel good, is that right? Raise up your hand, here at the people, so... You believe you're going to be well, and go home and serve the Lord? All right. Now run along and just be real happy. It won't come to you no more.
Let us say, "Thanks be to God," as we...
47 All right, would you come? Sister, being a stranger to you, that the people might not think now that...
You know what a telepathy is; that's what's on somebody's mind. I can't pick it out, and when it does, I'm going to call who you are. So, you're in there; it keeps coming to the platform to me. And I think it's a clergymen, 'cause I seen the platform before me.
I just want you to put your hand on mine, sister, as a way of contact. I don't know you. I've never seen you, and I'm not looking at you. I look out here into the audience. If Almighty God will reveal to me by a vision, as I look this way, what your trouble is, would you admit and tell the truth, whether it is right or not? If you will, raise up your hand. Now, may the Lord Jesus grant it as I pray. If you'll lay your hand back on mine, just the way, that a point of contact. The Bible said, "Laying hands on the sick."
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
48 Yes, sister, you have a female trouble; it's a ladies' trouble. If that's right, raise up your hand. Now do you believe it's mental telepathy? That takes place, she was in a bathroom, which it wouldn't be right to tell a mixed audience like this, the lady knows what; it's a drainage. That's right, isn't it, lady? That's right, see. That's true.
49 Now, only God can heal her. I can't heal her. Certainly not. I'm not a healer, I'm His servant, just a vessel where the Holy Spirit come...
Like this right here, this is a speaker. This is a not a speaker; this is a pulpit. This is a speaker. Some man made this a speaker. Some man made this a pulpit. Some man made you a preacher, some... I mean, the Lord; I don't mean...
Excuse me, my brothers. I didn't mean some man made you a preacher. I didn't mean that in that manner. I was saying "man," this is kind of... You're working in two worlds. You're here, and you're in another world, when that goes out, then you go in and you see what's standing near at the platform here, angels of God, and everything. And you see hideous things that takes place. Then you're wondering sometimes, and that's the reason I said when God calls you and made you a minister, God called me and made me a seer, as He promised in the Bible.
The Bible said, "Your..." In the Bible, said in Acts the 2nd chapter, "In the last days," that's these days, "it'll come to pass that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh, and your young men shall see visions." Is that right? Prophesy, is that right? Prophets will be raised in the last days and show visions and signs. Is that what the Bible says? Well, that's just what He said.
Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Acts 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
50 Now, sister, go believing, having faith. Believe with all your heart, and God will heal you. Do you believe it?
Kind Heavenly Father, in the name of Thy beloved Son, the Lord Jesus, knowing that this woman is near the light, and the shadow right behind her, called cancer. And we pray Heavenly Father, that You'll grant her healing tonight. And I condemn this enemy, upon the confession of her faith and the Word of the Lord God. I condemn this devil that's bothering her in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Go happy, sister. Don't be bothered. Just believe with all your heart.
51 You want to be healed, do you, sister? Would you believe me as His prophet? If I would tell you where your trouble is and what's wrong with you, and what to do, would you believe it? You would. You'd have to know that some way's come. It's in your back, isn't it? That's right. Now, you believe that God will make you well? You're all nervous, too, and got complications, and things. And a lot of things you believe you have, but you don't because, it's your nerves; see, that does that. Sometimes when you lay down, you feel like your heart is bad, but that's nothing but just your stomach; it's a little peptic ulcer in your stomach, which causes gas pressed upon your heart. It's not going to hurt you. You're going to be well. You're a fine woman. Your faith has healed you. Do you believe me? Then go on your road rejoicing, and thanking God.
Let's say, "Thanks be to God," everybody.
52 Sister, of course, you knowing that only one thing can heal you. That's God. God is the only One who can heal cancer, and make well. But He can do it, if you can believe. Do you do it? With all your heart?
Kind Heavenly Father, in whom we believe, I pray, dear God, that Your omnipotent Spirit will touch this woman, and will make her well. As You have said in Your Word, "These signs shall follow them that believe." The last thing You said, Jesus, when You left Your church, You said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. And he that believeth not shall be damned, and these signs shall follow them that believe. In My name they shall cast out evil spirits, lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover." Lord, You're true to Your Word. And upon the commission of the Lord Jesus, upon His omnipotent Word, I now ask that this evil leave ... sister, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Now, go happy and rejoicing, and be made well. Amen.
All you audience, you'll never... Wish you could... You may think I'm beside myself, but I'm not. No, sir. I'm not. But I say this in the name of the Lord, that Jesus Christ, the resurrected Son of God, is alive tonight, and is here in this auditorium right now, showing the things that His Word said that He would do. Isn't He wonderful? So wonderful. Oh, how good!
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
53 I was looking at a lady, but I believe it's the lady behind her, that's got a gall bladder trouble sitting back there that would like to be healed. You believe that God would heal you, sister? Sitting there, right behind the lady, kind of heavy-set lady, looking at me. Do you believe? Right back behind the lady, you was sitting there praying, wasn't you? Huh? No, the lady sitting right here, that's right. If you could see, if you could only see. How many seen the picture of the Angel of the Lord? Here it hangs right here, over this woman, right here. She's suffering with something wrong in the gall that's in the ... right under the side here that causes the trouble. And she was sitting there praying and asking that God would make her well. Sister, you won't have to worry no more. Christ has made you well. Amen. We thank the Lord.
54 What do you think, sister? We're strangers to one another. Are we? We don't know each other. Jesus Christ knows us, doesn't He? If God will reveal to me where your trouble is, or something about you, that you know I do not know, will you accept Him as your healer? I'm your brother. I couldn't heal you. I'm just a man, like your father, or husband, brother, or so forth. I'm no healer. But you know that you're standing in His presence, or something that you... You know that there's something near besides man. Isn't that right?
Now to your friends, out there, and to a witness of the Lord Jesus, that they might know, and so that the audience will be sure, because after this night, there'll be many stand in judgment, see. That they might know.
I just want to say something. Just... Since you have come up here, even now, that there's a real loving, humble, sweet feeling around you. If that's right, raise your hand, and I've never seen you in my life. Now to the people who know her, you couldn't stand this close without knowing it, recognizing it. He's here. That's the Holy Spirit. See, it has such an effect upon the human. It's got to be something... For instance, if you see something through the eye, it'll have an emotional effect to you. And if there's a sense of feeling, and if something affects that feeling, it brings emotion, you see. You have to. See, it has to react, and you're in His presence.
55 Now, if God will tell me what your trouble is, will you accept Him as your healer then for it? Your trouble is a ladies' trouble, female disorder. That's right. You have pain low in the side. Isn't that right? ["That's right."] It's a tube, and it's infected. You have an abscess on it, and it's causing you trouble. Sometimes it's worse than ever. I see you, days, when you hold yourself, and just walk, just almost putting your teeth together. That's just been recently. Is that right? You don't believe I'm reading your mind, do you, sister? You're a believer.
56 Now Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." Now the Bible said these things would take place. And you're right now... Look. First, the Word, God's Word, said that these things would place. Here you walk up to me a stranger, never seen me. And as soon as you move up here... You walk in front of men all the time, ministers. But never felt like this in your life, see. Then here comes something down, this lovely person that's here with us now, tells you where your trouble is and what you've been doing. Then you know it has got to be some supernatural, hasn't it? Then you believe that I am a believer? Then if I lay hands on you and ask for your healing, it'll have to get well, won't it? Then you come forward if you will. May I just put my hand on yours. And shall we pray as we bow our heads?
Our Dear Heavenly Father, knowing that Your presence is here and You're omnipotent, You're omnipresent. And I pray through Jesus, the Son of God, that You'll heal our sister. And she's standing here in Your presence now. And You're anointing. And I ask that You take away the evil from her body. Now, we know that it would take her life, and send her to a premature grave. But You're here to remove it.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
57 And, Father, we pray that You'll do it. And we know that we have what we ask for, for You're here, to witness to us that You are resurrected from the dead. And You know this woman. You've knowed her since she come on earth. And You're here revealing to her the things that she has done in her life and what's wrong with her. And now, upon the authority of God's Word, I come to challenge the enemy in her body---Thy enemy, called the devil. I come claiming a gift that was ministered to me by an Angel, that, Satan, you're aware of; and I adjure thee by the living God, Jesus Christ the Son of God, that you come out of the woman, and don't torment her anymore. Amen.
God bless you, sister. You go believing with all your heart, you'll get well. Write me your testimony, tell me what happened up here, when you come.
58 Would like to be over that heart trouble, sir? Be well? Go off the platform, say, "Thank You, Lord Jesus for healing me." You'll get well. Amen. Believe now with all your heart.
I want to ask you something: When I said "heart trouble" to him, something happened to you, wasn't it? Because that's what you had too. ["Right."] When you were standing down there in the audience, a few minutes ago, you said, "Yes, I believe." And since that very time, there's been a difference in you, hasn't there? That's right. ["I was... I was thinking, I was believing what you were saying to that man."] That's right, exactly. ["And mine is heart trouble, I wasn't thinking of myself."] I know, but when you heard me say that to that man, well, I said, then something you felt, wonderful, didn't you? Now, that's what come to you to bring your healing. Do you believe it with all your heart? ["I do believe, with all my heart, I do."] Come then.
Kind Heavenly Father, I pray that in Jesus name, that You'll make manifest Your love to this woman, and will heal her and make her completely whole, as I lay hands on her, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
59 Now, I wonder out here how many believes now with all your heart? Do you believe? Raise your hand. Is there a person in here that's not a Christian before we pray for anymore sick? That say, "I now accept Jesus as my Saviour. I've been a little afraid in my life."
60 God bless you, young man, sitting up there. God bless you, lady, standing with the baby. Would some one else raise your hand say, "I now accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour."
God bless you, sister. You remember, you'll never, probably till you get to heaven, be anymore in His presence than you are right here, watching Him moving with the people.
Would someone else, while we bow we heads just a moment?
61 Heavenly Father, You want people to believe on You. You want people to love You. Four or five has raised their hands, that they want to accept You as their personal Saviour. I pray, Father, that You'll deal just now, and let men and women who have never yet come to You, or maybe, got away from You, and away from church, and away from worship, and they want to come back to You, and they know that You're here, and they know that it's You that's speaking to them, just now. I pray that they'll humbly raise their hands to You, knowing that some day they've got to meet You, and maybe, before this year is out, or maybe before this week is finished, they may come to meet You. And they want to come in peace, knowing that their sins are forgiven.
And Father, I give them by Your Word the promise, that You said, "He that heareth My words, and believeth on Him that sent Me has everlasting life, and shall never come to condemnation, but has passed from death unto life."
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
62 While we have our heads bowed, and the music is playing, I wonder, Christian friend ... or, sinner friend, is there another one in here, not to me, your brother; but knowing that the Lord Jesus is near, would you raise your hand with your heads bowed; no one look, please. Just raise... Just raise your hand to God, and say, "By this hand up, I now want to accept Jesus as my Saviour, while He's this close to me. I want to accept Him as my Saviour." Would you raise your hand?
63 God bless you. You. You down there young lady. You little boy. You, lady. And you. That's good. God bless you. The Lord Jesus be merciful to you, everyone. Is there some here that used to go to church, and take part in some church somewhere, and you just got away from church. You don't go to church anymore. I don't care what church it is. That doesn't matter. But you want to go back to your church, and take up your fellowship again with the children of God, and you want to be remembered in prayer that God will let you go back. Raise your hand, will you do it? God bless you. Oh, my! There are a dozen hands, I guess, up. Now that's wonderful. Do that, will you? Our brother, pastor, will call you up to the altar after a bit---Brother Junior Jackson---for this altar call just in a few moments. But I want to ask you a question.
Are you believing now that the Lord Jesus is here and you would like to be healed? Will you raise your hands? Just raise your hands if you want to be healed. God bless you. God bless you.
Now with your heads bowed, I see a lady sitting right here, just a moment. Yes, she has a female disorder, sitting right out here with her hand up towards her head. God bless you, sister. Your hand went up a few minutes ago. You don't have to worry no more. God heals you. You're faith...
64 Brother, you sitting back there looking towards me, with a shaking kind of a palsy, you have a prostate trouble; you have to get up at nights, don't you? Right, yes, sir. And now, you believe that Jesus Christ makes you well? If you do, all right, then you can have your healing. God bless you, that's fine.
Now, be real reverent, everyone.
Up in the balcony, here over on my right, someone over there, say, "Lord God, I believe You with all my heart. I want to be remembered in a word of prayer, just now." Would you raise your hand, no matter where you're from. God bless you, son. God bless you, sister. God bless you. God bless you.
I see a waters flow, it's a missionary sitting here, praying, too. May the Lord God bless you, my sister, and give you the desire of your heart, also. The Lord be with you.
Say, "How do you know that, Brother Branham?" I don't have to say it. Here it is, the Angel of the Lord is present.
Now you... I'm going to ask you to do something. You that's sitting next to somebody to you, that's sick, would you lay your hands over on them, just a moment for a word of prayer? Lay your hands over on each other, for a word of prayer. That's right. God will hear your prayer, too. He loves you. He's here, and He wants to make you well.
65 Our Heavenly Father, I bring this audience to You, just now, knowing that You're here, never failed on a one. You never fail, Lord. You're God and You can't fail. And Your attitude towards this ten or fifteen people that come across the platform tonight, is Your attitude towards each and every one. Several out there in the audience---maybe eight or ten out in the audience there---that You've showed visions over, tell them what their diseases was and what they were. Why, You're the Lord Jesus. You know all of them. And You can reveal to Your humble servants, that which is necessary.
66 And I pray, Heavenly Father, just now, that You see them as they are now... And I pray that on Your great heart, which I know is far beyond what human compassion would be. But You look at them, and see their need, and heal everyone. Lord, You know their condition, and I pray through Jesus' name, that right now, that You will heal them. And the enemy, the devil, that's bound them, and the unbelief that's bound them to circumstances. I adjure thee, enemy of Jesus Christ, that you come out of the people, and leave them, through Jesus Christ's name.
Now with your heads bowed, believing with all your heart that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is here, and making you well, that you're sitting in His presence and you believe. As you believe with all your heart, and believe that you can accept your healing, with your heads bowed, raise your hands. You feel you can accept your healing, that you're healed. God bless you, that's wonderful. The entire audience and everyone, I believe, that raised their hands, is now accepting their healing. The Lord bless you while we bow our heads again for a word of prayer, from Brother Junior Jackson, with your heads bowed.
All right, Brother Jackson. The Lord bless...
