Divine Healing

1 Thank you kindly. That makes me feel at home to be here with you tonight, and to know that you welcome me back. I hope that sometime, as ... when I come again, if the Lord willing, and respond to your courtesy, that I will be able to stay longer when I come. I've often wondered if we didn't have a meeting sometime, where you could just stay, and the people... We don't even get a chance to explain to them how to accept divine healing. Maybe two or three nights---three or four nights---just jumping from place to place. Eight years of that, and around the world, I'm getting tired. I want to settle down and have a good long meeting and just stay till the Lord says, "Well, move on somewhere else," then.
And maybe, if we don't have a healing service every night, and we have preaching service, and then have, maybe, healing service three or four nights a week, then it gives the people a chance, as soon as they're healed ... you'll watch the deaf, dumb, blind, or whatever it is, when they come to the platform, they get it right then. But I've had people to stand at the platform, had been blind for years, and read this here Bible (It's a very, very fine print), and read this Bible, and walk down off the platform, and about three days be just as blind as they was the first place. Then they say, "Is healing lasting?" Sure it is. But what it is, they get out, and the devil gets a hold of them, maybe, through someone else. And they get a little skeptic or something, then it comes right back to them.

2 You know, Jesus said, "When the unclean spirit's gone out of a man, he walks in dry places, finding no rest. Then he comes back and brings seven other devils, worse than he was." And now, if the good man of the house (which is your faith) isn't standing there, ready to resent you, well, then he will come in, and your last estate's worse than your first.
Then many times, people with a malignancy, or something, or tumor, or any kind of a growth, when it dies the life goes out of it, they get a relief right then. In a few days they feel better. Then after about seventy-two hours, they start getting sick, really sick then, because that's a dead lump of flesh in them.
And then if it breaks up, if there's no way for it to drop out, (maybe it's on the inside, adhesions, so forth holding it), it'll drop down in the diaphragm or somewhere. Then you've got a lump of flesh in you that's rotten. Of course, your heart ... the blood stream purifies the body, pumps through your heart. It makes the patient terribly sick, infection, fever and everything. And then the person then says, "Well, I know when I was standing there, I was well for two or three days. But I guess I lost my healing." Well, that's the best sign in the world you got your healing, see.

3 Now, a miracle, it would have vanished---a miracle healing. But a miracle and healing is two different gifts altogether. One has the gift of miracles; the other one has the gift of healing; or you might have both gifts of miracles and healings. There's nine spiritual gifts, and they all might be working in one meeting. We don't know that. That's up to God. But, anyhow, if a person through healing... Healing is when you in your heart know that God has done it for you, and nothing can wave from it. And that's when you're really going to be healed. You're going to get well.
Same thing goes for you people that's crippled. How many times have I seen our Lord Jesus... And the way we conduct our meetings, it's almost just now and then, you get crippled people in the audience.

4 They give out a hundred cards or more, and the only legitimate way you could do it, when you got an audience like this, maybe tonight, of three thousand people or more... Well maybe, then you got to... Everybody, maybe two thousand, wants to be prayed for. Who's going to be first? Well now, and especially in my type of ministry, there's just going to be so many of them get to come. But it's not by me laying hands on a person; it's you accepting the presence of Jesus Christ. That's what does the healing.
And many times you'll be watching the meetings: There's more gets healed out in the audience without prayer cards than there are those who come to the platform with prayer cards. It's just... Cause you got more faith to work on. You got one person here, maybe with faith where you got, maybe, two or three hundred sitting out there with faith. And after you're gone, you know as it is every time, as it has been in meetings, I got letters after letters from Des Moines: Stomach trouble left, and all kinds of diseases left the people, after we were gone. And it's just a vindication of the presence of the resurrected Lord Jesus.

5 Now, if God willing... Now in here... I wanted to read you the vision that was given me as I told you I would.
I'd just come from Africa, and as all of you know by disobeying God, I got parasites, and like to died. Frankly, they said I was going to die. I was laying in my room one morning, and as I lay on my bed this morning, I was at once in a vision, and I seen someone coming to me as a man walking down out of the skies. He had in his hands some typewriter paper, looked like clear sheets. On the floor, beneath me, laid some which had been written on. I was astonished, as I could see in the room others ... figures in the room, and seen the man standing there. And he said, "As thou was wondering what would be your future..."
I said, "Yes. That's what I was thinking of."
He threw the paper towards the skies, and they went off, leveled off, one after the other, and a voice screamed from the heavens above, and said, "Your future is clear."
And then, I come out of the vision. And again, I went into the vision, and I asked, "Would I ever fear ... or, these parasites bother me any more?"
The doctor had just given me up, said they were going to put me in a place up here, a pest house like, coming back from over there with parasites. And he told me that I'd have a fever within ten hours. If the fever went to the brain, I'd die in ten hours; if it went to the heart, I'd die. If it went to the liver, my side would push out and have to operate.

6 And I wish I had time to tell you how that happened down in Africa, when the Lord gave me a vision, said, "Don't go over there." But, I let some preachers talk me out of it and go this other way. I'll never do that again, by the help of God.
And He told me, and He said unto me, "It is finished."
And that very same day, I went to Doctor Lucas of Louisville, and I said, "Give me an examination." Just sent me home a couple of days before that. Wouldn't let me go nowhere with those parasites.
And I said, "Give me..."
He said, "You've got them."
I said, "Examine me."
He took another smear, and he come back, said, "Can I take it again?"
I said, "Yes, sir."
And he took it again. He said, "What happened to you? You haven't got a parasite."
And I told him, "The Lord Jesus healed me." Told him the story, him being a Catholic. I said, "Do you believe it?"
He said, "Well, I have to." Said, "Day before yesterday... You'd been coming here for six months with parasites just accumulating all the time, and two days from here, you haven't got a one." Said, "How can I help but believe it?"

7 Now, on with the vision. And He came to me again. Never did that before in my life, not over one time at a time. But this time, it come five straight times. And it came again, and I asked how to conduct my meetings. As some tell me about Brother Roberts, and others, how they pray for so many. And He said unto me, "Just as you are led to do."
Then He came again, and I seen an Angel, which speaks to me, stands by my right side, and I was sitting in Africa, at Durban, the same place, right where I left off and failed the Lord. He was sending me right back again to begin.
I saw great throngs of people, but the meeting raised into the air, and faded away as a shadow. I looked back and saw again: There was many people sitting, even greater than the first meeting. Then the Angel which was speaking to me turned me to the east, which would be that way. And there was so many people, that I couldn't even numerate it. They went over hills, and an Angel, smaller than the one which was standing by me, came from above with a light, an oscillating light, and it showed over the hills at the people. And they looked like Indians, half dressed. They were rejoicing and praising God as I spoke to them. And I heard the Angel which was above me say to the Angel standing by my side, "There are three hundred thousand of those in that Branham meeting." And you see if that's right or not.

8 And then, as I came to and was thanking the Lord in the room, my breath seemed coming faintly, and then I looked again, and I heard leaves in my Bible, and here come my Bible, coming across the floor, and stood in front of me, and it turned to the first chapter of Joshua. And then again, I came out of it, and my wife, at the same time sleeping in another room, had started into my room at three o'clock in the morning. And as she entered the door, something spoke to her, and said, "Do not enter that room, for there is a vision going on." And this three was hours later, at six o'clock, she then called me at the door. Never happened before in life.
And my mother-in-law, living just below me, immediately come up to the house---a very renowned Christian woman---and said, "What's happened up here? I started to wash my dishes, and something spoke to me, and said, 'Go up and hear the news this morning.'"

9 I went to the bank to find out if I was going to owe any income tax, to take up my receipt, and I seen one of the bankers weeping. When I come in the room, he looked at me and bowed his head down. I walked on across the room, picked up my canceled checks, and was returning. Something said, "Go talk to him."
And I went to talk to him. He reached his hand across and said, "Billy, the strangest thing." Said, "You know my people died with cancer. Last night, at three o'clock in the morning, I had a dream that you come to me and laid hands on me, and I was made well." And now, he's perfectly normal.
It is written in the Scripture that in the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. So has this. Now, you keep that in mind, and just remember that the Lord Jesus is sending me, and I...

10 When Archbishop of India came over here and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit---of the Eastern Orthodox Church... That's the next church to the Catholic. Our meeting supposed to be over there going to be politically sponsored. I have a dinner set with Nehru. We're to meet with the king of Spain, and the king [unclear word] Jordan, Prime Minister Krueger in South Africa; and politics sponsored to give it a nationwide publicity ... and in Jerusalem, to let us in.
And now, I'm just positive that this is going to be the greatest meeting that I've ever heard. And then, when the archbishop said, "Brother Branham, let's set the meeting in order." He said, "Have you got the money yet?"
I said, "I've got pretty near five thousand dollars. I think I can take us."

11 'Course, in India you can't spend a penny; you've got to send the money ahead. They've got to have our money for everything. And none of those other countries... Their money's no good here, you see. So we have to send the money.
And I said, "I think that'll, maybe, buy our tickets to go over."
And he said, "Well, let's set the meeting for February," he said, "the 23rd. I'll have Mr. Nehru have a dinner for you that afternoon on the 23rd." That'll give me a chance to go into Africa and have this meeting then all over.
I said, "That's sounds good to me." Called Mr. Baxter; we got it set. And that night, my wife, which is present now, sitting back here; there was people in the den room, and people in the other room, as I was ministering to the sick.
And I'd had a long distance call, of emergency: a man was going to commit suicide. He said, "I just want to call you, preacher, and tell you that I'm no good, and I'm fixing... You'll hear the gun fire, just in a minute."
And I said, "Now, just a moment. Lay the gun down; let the hammer down." I kept on till I heard it lay down, and led him to Christ. And he got saved right there.

12 So I was on my road back to go in to minister to the people again, and standing in the door stood a odd-dressed man. I never noticed how he was dressed down this way, but he had like a towel laying over his head. His nose was kind of pushed up, in that manner. And he said to me... I said, "How do you do, sir?" I thought he was just ... some of them had just let him in. He was in there to be prayed for.
And he said ... looked up like that, said, "Brother Branham, don't go overseas till September."
Why, I said, "Why?" And the man was gone. And I went into the other room, and asked if they had seen anything like it; wife hadn't let him in the house; no one knowed nothing about him. And then that night, after the house was empty, I went in and was laying down along about one o'clock in the morning, and I dreamed that I shouldn't go over to Africa ... or, India until September. I come in, woke up my wife, and told her. We set there a little while; I went back in again and dreamed the same dream again. And we said, "Maybe it's the Lord don't want me to go over." And I went in, I said, "Lord, then I accept the vision as being You warning me, and the two dreams also, not to go till September." I went to sleep and slept like a baby. So we go in September in the name of Jesus Christ. Watch what happens. I know our Lord will be good to us. He's promised it.

13 And I want to ask this tonight: When the winds are blowing hot in Africa and India, witch doctors... And don't think they're not good to challenge you. And in India they got the rope walkers, the fire eaters, everything else, and anything in the supernatural realm; they come and challenge it right now. When the ways are going hard over there, can I depend on this, that when I slip down to have a word of prayer, can I believe that there's people in Des Moines praying for me? Will you do that, promise that? Thank you.
Brother Mitchell just told me that they gave me a little offering to kind of help me along. I appreciate that, friends. I'm a poor man; I don't have anything of this world's goods. They did build me a little parsonage to live in. I could've been a rich man, but I'd rather my riches would be up there than all those... I couldn't take money from poor people. I just couldn't do it. And I wouldn't now. I'd get out and work every time when I come to a meeting, if I just could. But it's just a call for the sick. And what little money I get a hold of, why, I put it in foreign missions. We don't just have to eat on; we live poor. Come to my home and find out, or let the investigation find out anything you want to know. I come poor; I will return poor. My people are poor, and I desire to remain that way.

14 And I appreciate... Many of you people are poor people, and tonight you probably maybe put in the last nickel you had. And on that great day when we stand up there at the judgment seat of Christ, and you hear those heathens screaming after you hear my name called, and I got to come up to stand, the tape recording will be played, and the screen will show it all, and some of those natives and heathens from the other countries, saying, "Oh, Brother Branham, if you hadn't have come, I'd have been lost." And then God will look down to you and say, "You were the one that sent him."
If there's any blessings to be got out of it, may you receive it. 'Cause I'm just doing it as a duty. Each one of you could do it. God sent me, and you're the one that's helping me go. May God bless you richly and restore to you a hundred fold. I'd be glad to have prayer with you at any time. You pray for me. May we meet again is my prayer, somewhere this side of the river of life, and have a good old-fashioned meeting again here in America before we cross the waters. I mean that last water.

15 I'm not getting any younger. I'm already forty-five years old, and them's been some rough years. And one of these days, I realize that I'm coming down to the river. Each time my heart beats, I'm going towards a great chamber called death. Every one of us is. Someday my heart'll make its last beat, and I will have to enter in. I don't want to go in like a coward. I want to go in, just want to wrap myself in the robes of His righteousness, enter into the chamber of death knowing this: that I know Him in the power of His resurrection; that when He calls from among the dead, I'll come out.
When the last battle is fought, I've often wondered... Most Branhams (and hardest too; that's my mother), they get the palsy when they get real old; they shake a lot. They're high strung, nervous type of people. Grandpa died recently, nearly a hundred, shaking. I, too, may have the palsy when I get old (I don't know), but I can imagine being an old man coming down when my work's finished, and the cold waves of Jordan hit me in the face, and I know I got to cross over. I just want to look back down the path from where I come, see a lot of tracks through the briar patches, and over the rough places.
I don't desire a flowery bed of ease, while others fought to win the prize, and sail through bloody seas. Let me have the rough place, too. I must fight if I must reign. I must get some of the rough parts. I want to take off the helmet of salvation, lay it on the bank, stick the old sword of the Word, here back in the sheaf of eternity, and scream to the top of my voice, "Father, push out the lifeboat; I'm coming over home this morning." I believe He'll be there to meet me. That's right. That's my faith that's built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness, when all around my soul gives way, He's all my trust and stay, for on Christ the solid rock we stand. All other grounds is sinking sands.

16 I shall read just this portion of the Scripture, God willing now, so that if my words happens to fail, then His Word will not fail. It's found in Saint Luke, the 18th chapter, 35th verse:
And it came to pass ... as he ... came nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
And they ... went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried ... much ... more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
... Jesus stood ... commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
Saying, What will thou that I should do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
... Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

17 Shall we speak now to the Author in a word of prayer. Father, we thank Thee tonight for Thy Word. And Thy Word is truth. And we thank Thee for this story from the Bible, that we have just read, knowing that without one shadow of doubt, every iota is true. It happened. And we're so happy to know that man's blood, down through the age, though it cost that, we're sorry that it cost it, but it's brought this Bible to us tonight. It's free literature, and we can read it as American citizens, and have a right to worship You according to the dictates of our conscience, the way we read the Word.
And we're thankful for our nation, and for our people, and for the freedom that we have. And we pray that You'll preserve this, Lord. And we ask that You'll bless this audience tonight, as many are sitting waiting with anticipations. Thou has never disappointed any man who came to Thee with anticipations to receive something. You never would send him away empty. You send him away filled with the assurance and with the blessings.

18 And now, Lord God, speak tonight to us, and let it be known tonight that Thou art the Son of God, which has risen from the dead, and live among us. And You're not no longer dead, You've been alive two thousand years now, living down through the ages, and you're alive forevermore.
O God, and may every man and woman in here that's out of fellowship with You return to You tonight, or come for the first time and see how blessed it is to know Thee in the pardoning of sin. May every sick and suffering person, as we're centering this part of the message on that subject, may they be healed.
Bless our brother pastors, every one of them, and all the members, and the laity that's represented here. The officials, the custodians, all those who have a part in this meeting, bless them. Bless this city, and help tonight, Lord, to send an old-fashioned God-sent revival in this city, that'll stir the people city wide, and many find Jesus Christ. We pray that You'll begin it tonight, for we ask it in Jesus' name and for His glory. Amen.

19 Our scene opens tonight in a rather tragic condition. Now, the first principle I want to speak of, of course, basically now, is divine healing, because that's the subject that I'm doing this at. And I will see the way the Lord leads, the way we'll have the service. I want each one to be reverent, and in prayer, and believing on the Lord. And I trust...
I see two or three people here, sitting in wheelchairs. See, it's just beginning to get noised about. Perhaps, the man that got up last night, and put the crutches on his shoulders, and walked away, or whatever it was that I asked him to do. Maybe, he said to somebody else and then it just keeps accumulating, getting larger, and larger, all the time. That's the way it's always been.
But we have to walk away then, and leave the people, for I've got to leave yet tonight or real early in the morning to speak in Washington, DC, at the Christian Businessmen Internationally, and have a healing service at the White House. That's pretty good, isn't it? We praise the Lord for that. I hope that many of the friends that's invited senators, and so forth, that the Lord Jesus will save the whole group of them, and give them the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

20 I want to have a healing service standing on the same steps where Congressman Upshaw, after being a congressman for seventeen years in the White House, and had been a cripple in the wheelchair, an invalid: beds and wheelchairs for sixty-six years, going to healing service after healing service, till one night in Los Angeles, California. I never knowed, never heard of the man, saw a vision, him moving across that way. He was sitting out there in the chair, and the Lord Jesus commanded him, said ... told him all about his life, and what had happened, and how he got hurt, and all about it. And then told him, stand on his feet, that Jesus Christ had made him whole.
And he rushed to the platform, touched his toes, and could almost do a handspring at eighty-six years old. Living for... And he stood right on the White House steps, immediately after Billy Graham's meeting there, and sung to those congressmen, "I'm Leaning On The Everlasting Arms Of The Lord Jesus."
Now, may God grant tonight that I can have healing service right at the same steps.

21 Now, our scene is at a very cursed city. Jericho is in the valley; Jerusalem is on the hill. And a man like we read of the good Samaritan, when he was coming down from Jerusalem, going to Jericho, he was backsliding, coming out of the city of the blessed, going down to the city of the cursed. And that's when he fell among thieves and got stripped, and wounded and laying half dead: spiritually dead, physically alive.
Then, this city was a cursed city. The walls had dropped down once, and Joshua cursed the city and the person that would ever try to build it again. And now, in this city where they had in those days, and always been, wickedness, and rowdiness, and horrible living, perhaps, in the days of this blind beggar that we're thinking of, Bartimaeus, that perhaps it was just as wicked then as it was in the days before it fell. And sitting down in this valley, along about October in the year (theologians believe it was), maybe the cool breezes had already begin to start, little hope that this beggar had. Let's look at this man just for moment.

22 The first place, he was shut off in a blind world; dark; never seen daylight. That's a horrible condition. And another thing, if the doctors of the city would've had any way to have done work for him, he couldn't have had it done because he was a beggar. He was penniless.
Now, to be poor and without money is a bad thing. But to be shut off in a blind world without hope and without mercy, that's a tragic scene we have. Poor man, ragged, and his odds was against him. Perhaps, if he could've ... if the doctors could've operated, he didn't have the money to do it.
I have great respects for doctors, for I believe that God sends them to the earth to do certain things. But I just wondered if they ever put a doctor on freewill basis, like a minister should be, or dares...

23 I was looking at your telephone directory this afternoon, and find out that you got around a thousand doctors in this city. Well, I just wonder if these operations that cost from fifteen hundred and two thousand dollars for a hour and a half's work, if he got a love offering for it, I wonder how many doctors we would have. Well, that's the way it should be. It should be mercy, because you're working on your fellowman, the citizen, brother, sister.
And I thank God for good doctors. If you need the operation, and they thought you needed it, if you'd give them a penny, they'd do it anyhow. That's the kind of doctors that every city needs.

24 And perhaps this wicked, adulterous city that this blind beggar lived might have had some of them kind of doctors, and again, they might not have had the knowledge at that day to know how to operate on him.
However, he was shut off in darkness, and was blind, and was poor, and was begging. And in those days, beggars strolled the streets everywhere. Lepers that couldn't work---blind, lame, halt, everything---laid on the street. And a beggar had a slim chance of getting anything to eat. Maybe, the man that come out of a morning had had one coin he could give to the poor. The first one he met, he flipped it to him; that settled it. They probably didn't even pay any attention to the beggars; they were so numerous; so many of them around that they didn't even pay any attention.

25 He was really in an awful condition. And here he is. Let's picture him now and give just a little drama. I can imagine being in the cool of the day, maybe the poor old fellow hadn't eaten for a couple days---a cup of soup or something that somebody had give him a coin. And he was sitting out at the gate. It's still very common through the oriental countries to find those beggars everywhere; still there.
And there he was sitting at the gate, perhaps in the afternoon of a hot day it'd been, crunched down in the shadows. The crowds had ceased, the polished stones where many people coming from different parts of the country coming around Jericho... Let's just think of the old beggar sitting there now in his ragged clothes, shivered down into the shadows. He didn't know how far he'd have to go to get in the sunshine. Maybe, get run over by a horse, if he got out any farther. Sitting there in that hopeless, helpless condition and not knowing that just right down the road come salvation.

26 There might be that person sitting here tonight---maybe not so desperately as that man was---but not knowing that right here in the next hour is salvation for you.
Sitting there in that condition, and after awhile I imagine he begin... Let's imagine he's thinking in his mind, maybe reached out his hands across the curbing and rubbed the stones on the street, think, Many years ago, Joshua, the great conqueror in God's army, led the children of Israel right up that same road. Not only that, but right, not very far from that same gate, Joshua was wandering around one day, and he met a Man who drew His sword and claimed to be the Captain of the host of the Lord: Jesus Christ, Himself, standing there in Person just outside the gate. Over that same road, eight hundred years before that, come Elisha and Elijah on the road to Jordan, and Elijah is going to be taken up in a whirlwind; and Elisha got a double portion of his Spirit---on that same road.
But the poor old blind beggar, the priest had told him---the clergy of that day, "Them things are passed away. The days of miracles is past. Eight hundred years! God don't care about the people in that way no more. We have other things we preside to ... or, go to, so we don't have them things no more."

27 And he had been taught that, but somebody, perhaps a little girl or little boy, had come by and told him that there was a Prophet in Galilee that could make the blind to see, and the lame to walk. The priest didn't receive Him; the clergy of that day had nothing to do with Him. Just the poor and needy followed Him. His congregations wasn't too big, a large congregation of five thousand, where the Sanhedrin could call in two million. But His congregation wasn't so big, but it was those who loved Him and believed in Him followed Him. And I can imagine the old prophet ... or, the old beggar laying there saying, "Oh, if that prophet would only come this way."
"Seek and ye shall find. Knock, it'll be opened unto you. Ask and you shall receive."
Everything had got quiet. All at once, people begin to come by whispering. The old, blind beggar wondering, What ... what they talking about. And after a while, the crowd got thicker. Well, we heard some snickering and laughing. Hear somebody holler, "Ha, ha, ha. Here comes that religious fanatic, that holy-roller." Who was it? It was the priest, the highest of the clergy, say, "Here, comes that miracle worker. Let us take somebody out here now, and see if He can heal them. Then we'll believe Him."
And I imagine blind Bartimaeus saying ... wondering if that's the Prophet from Galilee. "But who am I? I'm just a beggar. Well, all these crowds now, hundreds, multitudes around here, and worming in and out, why, I've had no way to have an audience with that Man. But if I could only get to Him, I'd ask Him something."
"Blessed are they that hunger and thirst, for they shall be filled."
There He is, and after awhile, I hear the priest snickering and laughing. I hear the young folks laughing. But after awhile, again I hear another group coming by; they're singing, "Hosanna, Hosanna." I hear a little woman, maybe, reach down and say, "You know, I would love Him. My little blind baby, when He laid His hands upon it, it got its sight."
I hear another little woman say, "My boy was crippled, and He prayed, and my little boy's healed."
And I hear blind Bartimaeus saying, "Who is this that passes by?"
Some of them said, "It's Jesus of Nazareth, the Prophet of Galilee."

28 Oh, there, opportunity had presented itself, but how could he ever attract that Man where everybody wanted to see Him, all this crowd. Some of them will laugh at Him, some of them to scorn Him, some of them to challenge Him to heal somebody, liked the devil did when he first met Him: "If Thou be the Son of God, turn these stones into bread. Let me see You do it."
That same spirit still lives today. "Perform a miracle here. Heal this one let me see you do it." When you hear that, you know where it come from.
"Turn these stones into bread, and I'll believe You. Let me see a miracle." On the cross: "Come down. Pull your hands loose and come down; we'll believe You." See that same spirit. Now, the man that it was on, died; but the spirit still lives in other men. The Spirit of God that was upon Jesus Christ still lives and reigns today. God takes His man, but never His Spirit. His Spirit comes from one to another.

29 Elisha received a double portion of Elijah's spirit. That same spirit come on John the Baptist, and is predicted to come again in the last days: same spirit. The men are gone on, but they're anointed.
The Pharisees, the mockers, the scoffers, the religious people who made fun of healings and powers; the devil being their guide said, "Now, if Thou be the Son of God..."
And they say the same, "If you're a miracle worker; if you can do this; if you believe Jesus is the same yet, do something; let me see you."

30 Just a few months ago, I was in a place in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A man stood on the radio and said, "I will give one thousand dollars in cash for one statement that can be proven that one person was ever healed by divine healing."
Why, I was staying in a tourist court, and I had fifty calls in about a half hour. People who was healed and had the doctor go with them, said, "Come on, let's go claim that thousand dollars you can have for missionary work."
So we just got a group together and went over. I knocked at the man's door; I said, "I have come to collect your thousand dollars."
And he said, "But who are you?"
I said, "I'm Brother Branham." Oh, he just criticized me on the radio.
He said, "Well..."
I said, "You know you said you spoke where the Bible spoke, and was silent where it was silent. I want to see how silent you can get in a few minutes." And I said, "Now," I said, "here's evidence of cancer, blindness, and everything, and here stands the doctors right with them to give testimony. I want the thousand dollars."
"Well," he said, "I tell you." He said, "Reverend Branham, here's what it is." Said, "Our headquarters is in Abilene, Texas, so I tell you what we have to do." Said, "We'll take some little girl and go over there. We'll put her in a office before where all of us ministers are standing, and we'll cut her arm and you heal it, and then we'll give you the thousand dollars."
I said, "You're suffering with a bad case of mental deficiency." I said, "Any man would even think of such a thing..." I said, "Your anointing is of your father, the devil, that said to Jesus Christ, 'Perform a miracle before me, and I'll believe You.' I believe He heals if I never did see it in all my life. I'd still believe it because the Bible said so." So that's the way they worm out of it, like a worm in a lemon. All right.

31 But there's nothing to it. Just don't be afraid; the Gospel moves on, and the power of God moves on, and people are getting healed day after day all over the world. Jesus Christ is still the same yesterday, today, and forever.
If I pray for five hundred people tonight and all five hundred died in the morning, tomorrow night I'd be praying for the sick again. That's right, no matter thinks... That's what God's Word said. If I died tonight... If five hundred people died tonight, in fifty years from now, they rose up in the resurrection and said, "Brother Branham, don't you believe Jesus Christ. It's wrong, it's wrong, it's wrong. You accept something else." I'd still say, "Let me die in Jesus. I believe Him. He's my heart, my life; He's all I got." And I believe every believer in Christ that's been born again has the same attitude towards Jesus Christ. Amen.
Whether we live, die, sink, or drown, we still believe Jesus Christ; His Word is real. No matter whether I can make it come to pass or not, or whether my faith is strong enough or not, Jesus' words is always right.

32 Now, in this case, this blind beggar ... no one to help him. And I can hear him raise up and say, "Have mercy on me, Jesus of Nazareth."
Some of them said, "Sit down. Why, He ain't got no time to fool with you." Some of them said, "You've been taught the days of miracles is past. Sit down. Don't... What you hollering about? You act like a fanatic, like some of that bunch of Galileans." And they were poor, common people. "Why, do you fool with them? Sit down. Nobody will give you a coin anymore, if they catch you hollering and carrying on like that. You're little meager living will be..."
But something down in his heart told him, "If I can ever get an audience with that man, it's finished. If I can ever hear Him say..."

33 Now, Jesus was on His road to Calvary. Every Bible believer knows that. And Jesus was God in flesh, King of all prophets. And being with that Spirit, He knew what He was facing. That He must go to Jerusalem and somewhere under the hands of wicked people, and His own children crucify Him. And He must die, and Gethsemane was facing Him.
I can imagine Him, seeing His cool, stern face setting as a breeze come down, as He walked ahead of the crowd like that, going towards Calvary. The weight of the world, the redemption of all the world, the healing ministry that we have in the world today, rested on His shoulders. The healing of Congressman Upshaw rested on His shoulders. The healing of my blinded eyes rested on His shoulders. The sins of my life, and your life, rested on His shoulders. And the sins of every mortal died on the face of the earth rested on His shoulders.
How concerned He walked. He didn't hear the howling mob, some of them laughing, making fun of Him, and probably throwing rotten apples at Him, or something as He went along. The others hollering, "Hosanna, Hosanna." What a mixed screaming multitude carrying on. How could He hear that poor beggar way over against the wall? But he had faith.

34 And as He walked along, he cried out, "Thou Son of David, have mercy."
Probably ten hundred or more crying the same time, different things. I doubt Jesus even hearing his voice. But what happened: With all that facing Him, the faith of that one man, him in the condition he was---poor, outcast, blind, and a beggar---stopped Him in the middle of His road. The faith of one beggar stopped Him; all that facing Him. He stopped. He looked around to see who it was. He felt that tug of faith pull from Him. Hallelujah!
He's the same tonight. One person's faith in this building can turn Him and stop the heavens.
One man's faith. He couldn't hear who was crying, screaming, but somebody had faith like the woman touched His garment. He looked around over the audience. Looked out and sees that man, said, "What would you that I do for you?" Oh, that just thrills me, to see Him do the same thing right here. "What would that I will do for you?"

35 Some of them said, "Now..." The people, probably the lady with the little baby had been healed, said, "Oh, He calleth thee. Be of a good courage." Now notice, in the condition: total blind, sitting ragged, poor.
He said, "Come here."
How is he coming? Immediately reason would say, "Why, Master, You've asked me something to do that I can't do. How will I know how to find You in all that multitude of people, all that screaming, and crying, and going on. How am I going to find You?" Reason would have said he couldn't have found Him, but faith goes into action. That's what we need here tonight: faith to take action. Faith jumps and leaps. "No matter where He is, He's bid me come, I'm going." There you are.

36 I can see them little, old, skinny, bony arms go through that ragged garment, reach out to the audience like that, throwing the old ragged garment down, knowing that he'd never need it no more. Yes, sir. His little, old, bony arms reach out like that, here he goes through the multitude, staggering trying to find Him.
Jesus said, "What would you that I do for you?"
Now, he didn't say, "Lord, I know days of miracles is past. There's no need of me to ... that, but I know You're a heavenly Person, so I want to ask You, how beautiful heaven's going to be? What kind of harps are they going to play up there? Am I'm going to be able to see after I get up there?"
Blind Bartimaeus knew he'd see when he got to heaven. He knew all those things he would get when he got there. But the thing of it was, he had a need then. And he knew that Christ was able to supply it. He said, "Lord, that I might receive my sight."

37 Oh, my! No matter what they said: "The days of miracles is past; it can't be done." He said, "Lord, my faith has stopped You. I've got an audience with You. Now, that I may receive my sight."
Jesus never said, "I'll heal you." Jesus said, "Thy faith has saved thee." Hallelujah! Hallelujah means "praise our God." He's worthy of all praise. Said, "Thy faith has saved thee." In other words, "If you've got faith enough in all this multitude of crying, and mixed up, and half believers, and half critics, till I can feel your faith pull Me to stop Me, that's enough faith to heal you. Thy faith has saved thee."
Well, he begin to rejoice; perhaps couldn't see yet. The multitude went on. Jesus set His face right on going. If the man had that much faith, he'd get all right. So I can see Him going on down the road, going right straight towards Calvary now. And the multitude keeps going quieter, and getting quieter and quieter. I can see blind Bartimaeus standing, saying, "Now, He told me I was going to get my sight. I believe it. I've never seen my hand, but I believe I'm going to get my sight." After a while he said, "I see it now. I begin to see. Here it is. I can see my fingers." And down the road he went rejoicing, praising God that he'd received his sight. Sure. Jesus said so.

38 If his faith was strong enough to touch Jesus enough to stop Him and have an audience with Him... And Jesus is passing this way tonight. Every man and woman in here suffering with diseases can have an audience with Him. I declare that Jesus Christ raised from the dead and living among us today. And the very things that He did then, He does tonight. In His resurrection He looked out upon His audience, He knew the secrets of their hearts. Is that right? He does tonight.
And He said... He talked to the woman at the well; He knowed where her trouble was.
He said to Philip, when he come to Him, brought Nathanael, looked out over the audience, said, "Nathanael, you're a good man. A honest man."
He said, "How did You know me?"
Said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you."
He said, "Thou art the Son of God, the King of Israel."
He said, "Because I told you that, you believe?" He said, "You'll see greater things than this." Because he believed.

39 I read a story once of blind Bartimaeus---a fiction, perhaps. I will quote it before we pray for the sick.
He said blind Bartimaeus in those days... He had two little turtledoves, and they done little enchantments for the tourists. They had to do something outstanding, or they couldn't live ... make a living, begging, and they had no other way to live. So said those little turtledoves would do tumbles.
Said, one night... He had a little girl, and she got sick. So he went out and prayed, and he said, "Lord, if You'll heal my little girl, tomorrow I'll give You those turtledoves for a sacrifice." So the Lord healed the little girl, and he kept his word.
A few nights later, his wife got sick. She was sick to die. The doctors could do nothing for her. So he went out and prayed again, he said, "Lord, if You'll heal my wife, I will give you my lamb." (In those days... The blind men today are led by dogs. In those days they were led by lambs.) So he said, "I'll give you my lamb." So the Lord healed his wife.
And the next day he was on his road up to the temple to do what he had promised the Lord to give his lamb. And Caiaphas, the high priest in that time, said, "Blind Bartimaeus, where goest thou?"
He said, "Oh, high priest, last evening my wife was sick unto death. And I prayed the Lord to spare her life, and I'd give Him my lamb." And he said, "He spared her life, and I'm going up to the temple to offer my lamb as a sacrifice unto the Lord God."
Why, he said, "Blind Bartimaeus, thou cannot offer that lamb. I'll give you money to buy a lamb."
He said, "Oh, high priest, I never promised God a lamb; I promised Him this lamb,"---more of a sacrifice.
He said, "You can't take that lamb. That lamb is your eyes."
And said the old blind man straightened himself up; he said, "Oh, high priest, God will provide a lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes."
That day he was sitting, shivering in the cold; he heard that noise coming up the street. God had provided a Lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes.

40 He provided the same Lamb tonight for every man and woman, boy or girl, that's in this building, that wants to receive this Lamb. God has provided Him as a Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world, who was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, with whose stripes we are healed. Shall we pray.
Father, we thank Thee for the Lord Jesus, and for His loving blessings, and to see Him. How I would've loved to've seen Him that day when He was talking to Philip and Nathanael. How that Israelite must have been astonished when he stood before Him, and He knowed where he had been. How the woman at the well must have thought when He told her, "Go get your husband."
She said, "I have none."
He said, "You've got five."
How they must have felt. And when the disciples would reason in their hearts, trying to keep it a secret from Him; and He'd turn around and say, "Why are you reasoning in your heart?"
Where He'd know where a fish was that had a coin in its mouth to pay tribute, where two mules was hitched where two ways met. And yet, with humility to stand at the Sanhedrin courts and say, "I can do nothing except My Father shows Me."
See His friend Lazarus take sick, and know what the public is going to say, and He run away. And they sent for Him to come pray for him, and He went away farther. But on returning, He said, "Now, our friend Lazarus sleepeth." And then He told His disciples that he was dead, and He said, "For your sake, I'm glad I wasn't there, but I'll go wake him." And at the grave He said, "Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast hears Me always, but for these that stand by, I say it." Knowing that You'd showed Him, and told Him to leave the country, to let this happen, and then come back and raise Lazarus from the dead.

41 I'm so happy tonight, Lord, that numbered with many thousands around the world tonight, that my name is on Your book. And I know You by the fellowship of Your suffering and Your resurrection, through the amazing grace that Thou has provided.
And by a divine gift, which was ministered to me by an Angel, that Thou does know all about, Lord---unworthy---but telling me to go show people these signs, and to tell them of Your soon coming. And would be a sign that I should pray for the sick, and nothing would stand before the prayer. And how You confirmed that around the world with potentates, monarchs, kings, and I believe it's still in its infancy. And now, send us to Africa again, and over in those countries.
O Lord, I believe You're coming soon. On this hot night, here in Des Moines, may Jesus, the Son of God, who did these things, and before going away soon, and said, "These things that I do, shall you do also. Yet a little while the world won't see Me no more, yet you'll see Me, for I'll be with you, even in you to the end of the world."
Come, Lord Jesus, and anoint Your servant. And anoint Your children sitting out here, that working together by the Holy Spirit, that tonight might be a night of nights for the healing of the sick, and the saving of the souls, the sealing away of the people. For we ask it in Thy beloved Child's name, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen. May the God of heavens ever bless you.

42 If the Holy Spirit shall anoint at this time... I noticed last night: It'll never do me no good to mix the audiences up like that. I can't do it. You've either got to get away from it altogether or accept it altogether.
And now, I say this to you people (If I never see you again this side of the river, I'll have the same testimony over there.): I have been truthful to you. I have testified to you the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. I've told you, what He was then, He is tonight. And the only way that He has to represent Himself here on earth is with you and I. And God has set some in the church to be teachers, some to be ... for different gifts, some prophets, some different things. He set them in the church for the perfecting of the church. You all believe that, don't you? You're taught that. That's Scripture. We might try to say it was some other day, but we're only trying to hide behind our unbelief. God's Word never changes. It doesn't alter; it's the same yesterday, today, and forever.

43 And tonight the Lord Jesus has given we poor people this privilege tonight to see the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. I want to ask you something: If you were going down in Des Moines tonight, and someone told you that the Lord Jesus was here in Des Moines... Different churches had their different phases, their different theory, theology that they teach. And every one of them... I have no right to condemn what they're doing. Any man that breathes the breath of Jesus Christ, breathes His name, I love him. I might differ with him in doctrine, but still just the same, if he's God's child, he's my brother, and I love him. If he's Baptist, Presbyterian, Orthodox, or whatever he may be, it makes no difference to me.
I have never joined any denominational church, and I don't intend to. I intend to stand between the breech and say we are brothers. Let's break down our differences, and come love one another, and the world will come to Jesus Christ when we do that. But as long as these wars and things among us, how can they believe?
Now, let's love one another. And I believe this, friends, with my faith... And you've heard my story of how people before me, of course, were Catholic. They come from Ireland, both Branham and Harvey, mother and father. And I never had any religious teachings.

44 The first thing I can remember in life almost was a vision. It's a gift. It's just like I probably explained here when I was here before ---I don't know. Just like dreaming a dream: Some people dream dreams; some doesn't. You're dreaming: It's your subconscious. And an ordinary man: Let's say his subconscious hears his first, when he's here... When you go to sleep, you dream of things that you did when you was awake. When you wake up, you remember things that you dreamed even years ago. Is that right? Some people never have a dream. A person that sleeps sound doesn't dream. It's these people who doesn't sleep very sound that has the dream. They're not altogether awake ... or, not altogether asleep, rather.
Now, the man that doesn't dream a dream, his subconscious is way away from him. Now, neither one of those men can help, because... This man can't say, "Well, I'll dream you a dream tonight." He couldn't do it.
And this man never dreamed a dream couldn't say, "Well, I will dream a dream," or this one say, "I'll never dream another dream." That's all determined by God. And I believe God deals in dreams. Not all dreams, of course, and it's not too accurate without an interpreter. But now, a seer, one who sees visions, his subconscious is neither back there nor here. They're both right together. He can't help it. God did it.
Do you believe that those gifts are born in a man when he's born in this world? The Bible says so. That's right.

45 Oh, there's gifts in the church, like you say, "Gifts of prophecy." Yes, brother, but there's a vast difference. That's what they made you Latter Rain people get off the grounds. You've tried to make a gift of prophecy, a prophet. It's altogether different. A gift of prophecy is to be judged before two or three judges, but never a prophet to be judged. His word's true from cradle up.
Jesus Christ was the Son of God from the Garden of Eden: the woman's seed. Do you believe that? He had nothing to do with it; God determined that.
I believe Moses was born a prophet when he come from his mother's womb. Do you believe that? He had nothing to do because he was Moses. God made him Moses. Is that right?
John the Baptist, seven hundred and twelve years before he was born, Isaiah saw him, and said he was a voice of one crying in the wilderness. He was born that birth. Had to be named John, because they wouldn't let him name nothing else. His father was stricken dumb because he doubted the Angel. Is that right? How could he help that? Predestination, foreordination. Read the book of Ephesians; it sets the things in order.

46 Jesus told His disciples, "I knew you before the foundation of the world." Before the world began, He knew it. All things was made and ordained there. We're just working according to the scales ... the schedule, rather.
Jeremiah ... Jeremiah 1:4, I believe it is, or 4:1, I forget now. I think it's 1:4. God told Jeremiah, said, "Before you was even formed in your mother's womb, I knew you, and sanctified you, and ordained you a prophet to the nations." Is that right? How did he have anything to do with it? It isn't. You're born that way, and you can't make...

47 Jesus said, "Who taking thought can add one cubit to his stature." You can't make one hair black or white. You are what you are by the grace of God. God has did this, not what you done. When you try to make yourself something different... I'd like to make myself a Billy Graham, but it wouldn't do me no good. I'd like to make myself a Brother Mitchell, stand up and preach like that, or Ern Baxter. Didn't do no good. I must be William Branham.
I've often thought about Brother Roberts and those who prayed for the sick, and the way they did, how those brethren go out and pray for great hosts. There's never no kickback if they didn't pray for this or that one. But I can't be Oral Roberts. God made Oral Roberts what he is. I have to be William Branham. And Oral Roberts can't be William Branham. So we are what we are by the grace of God. So it's all set together in the church for the perfecting of the church, the working together of the good, for those who love God.

48 Now, a seer, his subconscious is like that. He stands there; he doesn't go to sleep. He's got both eyes wide open, but he's in another world. And when he comes out of that, he remembers what he seen back there for a time, perhaps. And then the first thing you know, he goes away again. And it's seeing visions. He has nothing to do with it. God does it alone.
But that's just exactly the same thing that Jesus Christ did when He was here on earth. Now, this is not something mythical; it's the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Tell me one time Jesus ever professed to do a miracle. Never. He said, "I only do as My Father shows Me." Is that right? Saint John 5:19. When He passed all those crippled people, didn't heal but one man, and he could walk. He wasn't crippled. He was laying on a pallet, might've had prostate trouble. He healed him, and he went into his house rejoicing.
When the Jews questioned Him about him packing his bed and so forth... Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing. That's what I do also. The Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto." In other words, "I can't do nothing till God shows Me first, then I can go do it." And He said, "These things that I do, shall you do, for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world." And that makes Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. Is that right? So accept it tonight, friends.

49 And if the Lord Jesus will come on the scene tonight as you seen Him last night restore the sight to the blind; make the deaf to hear; speak to people of things they done years ago, maybe sins that they're harboring in their soul, never confess it. He'll call it right out, and tell them what it is. If that ain't the same Spirit was upon the apostles, I don't know the Bible. If that ain't the same Spirit on the Lord Jesus Christ, I do not know the Bible. It is the same Spirit, and watch the fruits of it. It brings forth salvation for the glory of God.
Now, if He'll come tonight and will perform the same thing, how many in here will go away and say, "I believe with all my heart Jesus raised from the dead?" Let's see your hands. If He'll come right here in this building tonight, and condescend, humble Himself down, and work among us poor people, just the same things that He did back there in them days, you accept Him. Would you do it? And the Lord will bless you.

50 Now, as far as I know, there's not one person in this building that I know at this time, except it would be Brother Mitchell, right there. My wife somewhere here, my two babies, my son. But outside of that, I can't see one face that I could recognize. And there's, perhaps, not one person here that I know. But there's not a one of you here, but what Jesus Christ has knowed you before you were born. And if He could go back and tell you what you was, and what you have done, and where you're troubles are, then if He tells you what will be ... if that's so, we believe that'll be so. You know that's so. You know whether it's right or not. Then if that's true, then this is true. And we ought to go away happy, rejoicing.

51 Remember what Jesus said, "Go ye, and (what no more?) sin no more (Is that right?) or a worse thing come upon you." What is sin? Unbelief. Exactly right.
I heard someone the other day trying to preach the blaspheming of the Holy Ghost. He said, "A Christian couldn't blaspheme the Holy Ghost." And then turned around and read Hebrews 6.
I thought, Oh, brother.
"He who was once made enlightened, made partakers of the Holy Ghost, to fall away and to renew himself again unto repentance..." Sure, He can blaspheme the Holy Ghost.
Jesus said that they had blasphemed the Holy Ghost 'cause they said, "He has a devil."

52 Look here. Hebrews 10 said this: "He ... (I'm closing) He that sins willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." Hebrews 10, I believe, 47. Is that right? "He that sins willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful looking for the judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries."
Now, he that what's willfully? "He that sins." And what is sin? Unbelief. He that will turn his back on truth when it's presented to him, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin. Did you ever read it like that? He that disbelieves willfully after truth has been presented to him, because his church believes different. That's when you cross the line. He that sins willfully after he has received the knowledge of the truth there remaineth no more sacrifice [Gap in the audio].

53 He has a knowledge of the truth and won't accept it. [Blank spot on the tape] That's the Scripture. That's right. Sin no more---dis... [Gap in the audio] will come. When that enemy leaves you, then you go away and let somebody talk you out of it, and say, "Well...", or a little pain hit you and say, "Well, maybe it wasn't so." Brother, a worse thing's coming. You stand like the rock of ages, and claim the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, be healed, and you shall receive what you've ask for. God bless you tonight.

54 Now, I'm not going to try to call that whole line. [How many prayer cards did you give out? What was it? X's.] All right, he said he'd give out X's. [I'm going to call from a certain number. That's what...] I'm just going to call from a few. [How many? One hundred.] Now, in here there's a hundred prayer cards, and they're numbered X, ranking from one to a hundred.
God in heaven, who is my Judge, knows that I know not one place, one card, or anything about it. They come down here and give them out. The card's got your name and address on it, and on the back of it it's got a number and a letter. That's only to keep you lined up.

55 Now, if I say, "How many in here wants to be prayed for? raise up your hand." Be honest. Anywhere in the building raise ... [Gap in the audio.]
Eighty-five. 86, who has prayer card X-86? Look on the back, and it'll be a X and a 86. Who has that card? Raise up your hand. All right. 87, raise up you hand, 87? All right. 88, 88? Here's a crippled woman sitting here holding a card in her hand. Look at her card and see if it's 88. Or can you see, sis? It isn't. All right. 88, is it here? Raise up your hand. Look, it might be somebody's deaf; they can't hear their... 88? Excuse me, lady, 88. 89, who has prayer card 89?
All right. 90? 89? X-89. 90, who has X-90? Raise up your hand, will you? Who has 90? All right. 91, X-91. Look at your neighbor, 'cause it may be deaf (You see?), or maybe they can't get up. If you can't get up, just tell somebody sitting next to you, make some kind of move. All right. That's right. 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100. All right. Let's try this group here now, to pray for these people, and see what our Lord will do.
Now, if we have any time left, we'll start back from number 1, and begin back at there. If we have any time left, if we get these people here, as they come to the platform.

56 Now, if you will, my Christian friends, I want you all to do this for me tonight, if you will. Let's be just with one accord. How many believes that Jesus has risen from the dead and lives here tonight? Let's see your hand. How many loves to fellowship with Him? Do you like to do that? I just love to fellowship with Him. All right. Now, let's fellowship with Him. And let's fellowship with our neighbor's faith. Everybody together, just join in with one accord, and say, "Lord Jesus, oh, I ain't studying about whether I'm going have to wash the dishes in the morning, or whether I'm going to do this."
Say, by the way, I believe it was this... No, it wasn't this meeting. It was at another place here, called... I went from here to Cedar Rapids, or some place from here, another place, and it was in Iowa here. Great Falls, is there a Great Falls, Iowa? Some place, some kind of a Falls, might have been Cedar Falls or something like that. We had a meeting there. If there's any people here tonight that was at that meeting, I want you to listen now.

57 I prayed for a woman at the platform who had a horrible stomach trouble and couldn't eat nothing. And the Holy Spirit told her, "Thus saith the Lord..." Watch, you got your recorders here, if you want to see what He says. Said, "Thus saith the Lord, you're healed of that stomach trouble."
When you hear that come forth, brother, I lay my life right there, it's going to be just that way. I'm forty-five years old, seen visions since I was a baby, and have never seen one time---or challenge anybody to mention one time---that He ever spoke in that manner, that it didn't come to pass just exactly the way He said it. That's right. Just ask anywhere; take any recordings you want to and find out. When you hear Him speak out like that, that it isn't just exactly that way.

58 And the woman was told she was going to be healed. And then, she went home; told her to go eat. And the woman went home, and she tried to eat, but she couldn't. I believe she tried to eat a hamburger, she said, and oh, how sick; up all night. And a couple days later, she was still so sick. And she went on for six weeks, I believe it was, and the people around the country begin to laugh at her. Said, "You went down there to that preacher, and he was supposed to tell you the Lord would make you well." Said, "Here you are."
She said, "I believe it anyhow." She said, "If I never get well on this earth," said, "I believe it anyhow." That's the way. That's what it takes. I've got her testimony and name. If I knowed I'd been this close, I'd have brought it. Or, the lady may be sitting here, right now. So she went on then, and one morning her people had went to work ... or, the menfolks; the children went to school, and she was so hungry, and she picked up a piece of toast and begin to eat it. Usually it made her real sick and vomit, but she didn't get sick. But anyhow, she was washing some of the dishes first, and a real cool feeling swept over her. And she said, "Wonder what that was."

59 And she got real hungry in a little bit. So she eat a piece of toast; it didn't bother her. She eat some oats, and that was the thing that really would make her sick. It didn't bother her. So she drunk a cup of coffee, and after drinking this coffee, it didn't bother her. So she was happy. She run down to tell her neighbor, who had had a knot on her throat, and the Holy Spirit had said, "Thus saith the Lord, you'll be healed." And she run down to tell her neighbor what had happened. When she got down there, she heard a lot of noise screaming, and her neighbor was jumping up-and-down on the floor as hard as she could, shouting. The knot had just left her throat. And they rejoiced together. They come to a meeting and told me. And I got their names and address, and everything. That's just one of the many, but being it was here.

60 What had happened? Six weeks later. You know, God sometimes ... the Angel of the Lord can't be just momentarily on the job. How many knows that Daniel prayed, and it was twenty-one days before the Angel could get to him? Is that right? But when He speaks something, He'll watch over it to perform His Word. Do you believe that?
What happened? The Angel of the Lord had spoke that in the name of the Lord, and He passed through that neighborhood confirming the Word. Amen.
Is that person here? If they are, raise up. If you're here in the building. It was at one of those Rapids ... or, somewhere here in Iowa, though, the two women was. I can't see back very far, because the light's out from under there, but if you're here, well, God bless you. And if you're standing, the people are looking at you, of course. God be with you. I thank God for faith that will not say, "No," that will say, "Yes, God, it's the truth." And now, may He bless you.
And if our sister will... You've been awful nice, sister, to help us. And we thank you, too, for your kindness, and all the ministers, and all around. May the good Lord bless each one of you is my sincere prayer.

61 Now, is this the patient? All right. You just come here, lady.
Now, I think that they want me to talk on this phone. Billy told me last night... Many times when the anointing strikes me... Just imagine going out into another world, then coming back, then out, then back. After a while you get weak. After a while you don't know where you're at, kind of. And when I go to walk, it's not because I'm too weak, but I can't see where I'm walking. Then Billy, sometimes, puts my arms around him. He watches. If you'll notice, he'll stand over there in a corner somewhere, and keep his eye on me. That's the reason I have him.
How many remembers when I was off the field for eight months 'cause of poor management. They just let me stay hour after hour in the line, till I couldn't tell ... then it just went all the way out. It was eight months 'fore I come to myself. So I... You can overdo things. You say, "Is that right, Reverend Branham?"
Why, sure. The Scripture teaches that. How many knows that? the Scripture teaches that. Yes, sir.

62 Look at Elijah, after being under that vision up there, and saw how to fix that bullock, and everything, and called fire down out of heaven, and rain out of heaven, the same day went out in the wilderness, and was lost for forty days and nights, wandering around. God found him pulled back in a cave. Is that right? He heard the winds go by, he heard noise go by, and then a still small voice said, "What are you doing in there, Elijah?" See, the anointing had left him. And that's it.
Now, the Holy Spirit is here at the building. And I pray that He will come now, our blessed Redeemer. We have just about a half hour here of service. And I pray that each one of you dear people, when He comes, will acknowledge Him and recognize Him; and I pray that each one of you will be praying.

63 Now, you out there without prayer cards, let me see your hands ---that hasn't got prayer cards, and you're sick, all along, everywhere as far back as the darkness back there, raise your hands. All right. Just everywhere, solid. May God grant it.
I tell you what you do. You believe that I've told you the truth. Will you do that? You believe, and you look this way. And you believe with all your heart that I've told the truth, that I'm not trying to represent myself to you, friends. I'm trying to represent Jesus Christ to you. And you believe that I'm honest in that, and these things are the truth that I've told you. And believe like blind Bartimaeus did. That he said, "Oh, God, have mercy." And watch the faith touch Him and pull Him around and say, "You."
Watch the woman with the ... touched the hem of His garment, got back in the crowd. But them eyes begin to search around; she seen she couldn't be hid. He said, "Thy faith has healed thee."
See, you can be touched with the feeling of infirmities. You can touch Him, and He'll heal.

64 Now, the Angel of the Lord is here now. May He bless each one of you is my prayer.
I suppose the lady... If you'll walk up here, sister, so they can get your voice. Sometimes I talk real low, and I don't know it, you see. I can't tell whether I'm talking here or somewhere in a vision. And sometimes, they set these mikes here, so it's real sensitive. They can almost hear your breath from where you're at, there out in the audience. And so that way they can get just exactly what goes on and know the truth.
I suppose that you and I are perfect strangers to each other. Are we? We are. But you are a Christian. You're a believer, because I know that your spirit is moving, you see. And if the Holy Spirit, that I know that's here, He'd welcome you as my sister. And I know that you're a Christian believer.

65 Now, you're here for something. Now, God knows. He knows just exactly what you're thinking about. And if I be God's servant, and knowing that I do not know you, and no way in the world for me to know you, then He can reveal to me, what's your trouble. And then, if He does that, you'll know whether it's the truth or not, won't you? You'll know it. If I by the Spirit of God can tell you what's wrong with you, then not knowing you, then you know that there's someway here, I have of knowing you. Isn't that right? And now, it'll be whatever you determine.
If you say, "The man's a witchdoctor" or whatever you want to ... some hypnotizer, or something. Well, that'll be up to you, between you and God. But you just judge it to be the Word of God, and see what will take place.
Now, it don't come in great high places, see. 'Cause wickedness dwells there. It comes low and humble. You believe that?
And I will say this in the name of the Lord that you're not here for yourself. You're here for a loved one: father, I believe it is. And the man is blinded, and he's got cataracts on his eyes. Is that right? And you're from another state: Nebraska. Go lay your hands on your father to receive his sight, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you, my sister.

66 Do you believe on the Lord? Now, there's a woman, total stranger, never seen her, and I don't remember now what I said to her. But it was something about somebody was walking blind, an old person. But I don't know just what it was. You heard it. It's on the recording. I don't know what was taking place. But now I seen it. Now, somebody asked today a question, in a letter: "What makes you rub your face, Brother Branham, all the time, after you get tired?"
My face feels like it's that thick. And I just keep trying to feel, if I could feel my hands on my face when I'm rubbing it like that: tired, nervous (see), straining. Usually that time, you'll see Billy or some of them come and get me.

67 Now, be reverent, believe with all your heart, and God Almighty, who made us, will show you His glory. And then whatever you do with it, that's up to you. He's only using me tonight to represent Himself to you, as His children.
Now, I am just one of you. If the rapture would come, probably all of you'd go before me; I'm not worthy. I was back in a cold, formal condition when you were out in the street, preaching this Gospel. Some of you aged, white-headed ministers in this building, was out preaching this message when I was still a little sinner boy. But it's you that I respect as my brother and sister. And I'm only trying to walk down the road that you've preached and believe that would come. Don't turn it down while it's here. You believed it would be here; and while it's here, accept it and believe it with all your heart, and God will bless you. All right, brethren.

68 I was missing Billy Paul. You know, you feel the spirit of people. That's all right wherever he's at. But you can feel the spirit of people, and if I'm feeling his (looky here) ... out of ... moving of the spirit channel. Brother Baxter, I can know he's here, and you're acquainted. That's the reason I don't have people around me, see. Someone look... Unless it's solid perfect, you can tell it, see. It interferes. All right.

69 And, sir, I just want to talk to you a moment, just as a brother, to speak with you. I suppose us being strangers, one with another, we don't know one another, but the Lord Jesus knows both of us. Is that right? And we are two men, met here on earth, and perhaps our first time right here tonight. But you are a Christian. Yes, sir. You have a very fine welcome spirit.
And you're having some trouble, and the trouble is in your chest in here. It seems like that there's something, I believe a doctor or somebody's saying something, or someone, about something drying up. Like corpuscles, or blood vessels, or something drying up. It's in the blood. Is that right? Causing your chest condition. Yes, sir. You're a minister of the... It's Open Bible Church. God bless you now; go, and be made well. Jesus Christ heal you is my prayer, my brother, in Jesus' name. God bless you.
Do you believe now, with all your heart? Have faith now. It's the Lord Jesus. Just be praying out there, and, "Lord, remember me." And God will grant it.

70 Now, here's kindred spirit. I don't know this woman. I believe we're strangers, aren't we, lady? We don't know each other. I've never seen you in my life, knowingly. Is this our first time of ever meeting? It is the first time. All right, we're strangers.
But there's something wrong. God knows all about it. And you're not from here. You've come from somewhere where there's a lot of wheat, lot of wheat. I see you're going up in a airplane or something. You're looking out a window. You flew here, and you come from Oklahoma. Is that right? You're sitting at a window, looking out. All right. You're suffering with a... You've had some kind of condition. I see you with something white over the top of you or something. Oh, it's a ... it's an operation, and it's been in the stomach. And it was a cancer, and the doctor's just sewed you up, and the cancer is gone into the liver. Is that right?
Now, there sits a colored lady, sitting right back there. She's got cancer too. Sitting right back there, right over the top of that place. Stand up, lady. Isn't that right?
Oh, Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus, who's here to expose the devil and to make him an open shame: Satan, you know you can't hold these people. Come out of them, I adjure you. By the name of Jesus Christ, depart from these women, and leave them alone. Amen.

71 Now look, my sisters, both of you, as you stand. Now, the pressure that was pulling against me has left. Now, if God would let me know who you were, where you're from, what's wrong with you, by that same thing, just a real soothe feeling of blessing comes pouring back and forth through here now, and I believe with all my heart, that God Almighty has healed you both. Go home and be well, both of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Blessed be the name of the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ rule and reign in every age forever; blessed be His holy name. Amen. Oh, do you love Him? May His mercy endure for all times and all generations. My! What a bank of faith moving in this building now. You just can't tell; it's just coming from everywhere. What could happen now? All right.

72 You're afraid? Come, lady. How do you do? Do you believe on the Lord with all heart, all your strength, and all your mind? You believe that God sent me to be His servant to grant unto you your request? You believe it with all your heart? God bless you. If God can tell me what is wrong with you, then you know I have to know it in some supernatural way. And you're aware that something's near you now. You are? Isn't that right? That's His... Did you ever see the picture of the Angel, that fiery Pillar? That's just exactly what's on you right now. You've been suffering with heart trouble. Isn't that right? I see you somewhere... You seem to be awful happy about something. It's a ... oh, it's a... Here's what's happened. I've had contact with you some way. You was one time barren, and couldn't raise children, and I asked God to bless you by 'Thus saith the Lord', and you had a baby. The baby's with you tonight. So is your heart trouble gone from you. You're healed, my sister. Go, and God's peace be upon you. Amen.

73 Praise be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. His great mercy, glory! Blessed be His holy name. He will reveal, knowing all things, and all things was made by Him. All right. Have faith. Every person in here ought to, at this very time, be rejoicing. Friends, I'm praying that we don't... Not as I want you to be emotional. That isn't the idea. But did you realize the very God of heaven is doing just exactly what He said He would do two thousand years ago? that in this last days, He'd do the same? and you see it?

74 It's hard for me to understand how we can hold our peace, because we sit breathless, knowing that our Lord... We go down to the Ganges River, we find Colored women throwing their little babies in sacrifice unto the god of the Niles. Alligators squash them like that and it's finished. We go to the grave of Mohammed, and a white horse has been there for two thousand years. Confucius died twenty-three hundred years ago; a big statue of eighty-some-odd feet, made out of the hair, and teeth, and things of his followers, but not one speck of life about it.
But in Jerusalem there's an empty tomb. And the Man that still lives in this audience tonight, pulling all space, all hearts, all powers to the resurrection; He lives and reigns, and takes the poor subjects, taken that which was naught to bring to pass that which is high and haughty, to condemn the world in this generation, to bring forth His knowledge and power and righteousness into those who will believe. That was prophecy. Oh, how blessed be the name of the Lord.

75 Do you believe, sister, as you stand there looking this way? I suppose you and I are strangers to each other, but God knows both of us, sister. Now, I'm not beside myself, but I never seen you in my life, but God has seen you. He knows all about you, and He knows what you're here for. I do not. You might be standing here to ask a financial condition; you might be here to ask about some loved one. I don't know what you're here to ask about, but God does know.
And He can tell me, before you even open your mouth, all about you if He wants to. If He doesn't, that's just whatever our Lord wants to do. But I trust that He will, and will give you the desire of your heart, knowing that you're a Christian, and you're not a critic. You're a firm believer in what I'm talking about. And in that way, I can help you.
The first thing, you're a woman suffering with a woman's trouble, a female condition. You may not know this. Yes, you do. You do know it. You have a trouble in your head, which is cancer. And it's on the brain. But God will make you well. You... I see you sometimes sitting just holding your hands like this. You've been in another meeting somewhere, and you was holding yourself breathless. It was something taking place at a platform. Why, it's me. It was Portland, Oregon, when the maniac was condemned. I see him fall on the floor now and roll. You're healed, sister. Jesus Christ makes you well. Go home, and be made well in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

76 All right. Do you believe with all your heart? Do you believe as you come? Do you believe me to be God's servant? I'm getting just a little bit tired, but come here, just a minute. You believe Him with all your heart? Believe that Jesus Christ can make you well? You have a ruptured condition, hernia. The throat. You must be operated on. And you are a minister. You believe that Jesus Christ heals you now? In the name of the Lord Jesus, receive your healing, sister. Amen. God bless you. Go and be made well. All right.
Aren't you the dying something, lady: the organist? There's been a strange light hanging over you, just in the last few minutes. And I wondered if it was around some of the sick, but it now singled out to you, since the line's come to this side. Yes. There was a woman who went to the temple one day, for God to take away her reproach. Her name was Hannah. And you're desiring the same thing. And may the Lord Jesus... You're doctoring for that, or trying to doctor. I see a doctor speaking to you something about it. Isn't that right? May the Lord grant to you the child, and may you embrace it in your arms, a lovely child, in the name of Jesus Christ.

77 Come. Do you believe, as you come? Do you believe that God will heal you and take this tumor away from you? Do you believe it with all your heart? Come here then. Father, in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, may our sister be healed. I rebuke the enemy in her life, that this tumor will leave her through Jesus Christ's name. Amen. God bless you, sister.
Come, lady. Do you believe Him as you come? Will you obey me as God's prophet, do what I tell you to do? Now look. You've been nervous for some time. It's not a ... it's a mental nervousness, that you're always... You're trying to be deeply sincere, take other people's thoughts to yourself, and things like that. In other words, you cross bridges before you get to it. In that is created to you an ulcer condition in your stomach. You got a stomach trouble. You can't eat right. Jesus Christ makes you well. Do you believe it? Then go eat your supper. God be merciful to you.

78 Come, believing now, with all your heart. Sir, seeing that you've had an accident and lost your arm. All right. Not only that, but you're suffering with a heart trouble and want God to heal you. He has. So just go marching, and rejoicing, and praising God. Let's say, "Blessed be the Lord."
Come, my sister. As you come, come believing. Do you believe that God can take that diabetes away from you and make you well? In the name of Jesus Christ may you receive it, is my prayer. Amen. God bless you.
Come. Are you believing, sister, as you come? You're having all kinds of strange feelings lately. For instance, you think sometimes you got heart trouble. You're extremely nervous, and in this nervousness, that created a tumor. And you have a tumor that's to be operated. Is that right? You believe Jesus Christ will take it away now? In the name of Jesus Christ may it go for God's glory. Amen.

79 Come now, believing with all your heart. Amen. Have faith in God. Don't doubt.
Little lady, sitting there looking at me so sincerely. You're paralyzed. But you got a thought in your heart that you want to do. I'm not reading your mind; I don't know you. But you're wanting to write a book. Isn't that right? Stand up. Your paralysis is gone; you're healed. You can go home and be made well. God bless you.
Your heart trouble's left you, so you can go on your road rejoicing too, sister, and be made well. God bless you.
Let's say, "Praise be to God."
Insulin is a good thing, but the Lord is better. Don't you believe it? Insulin only holds you all, but God can heal you of that diabetes. Don't you believe that? Come here just a minute. Then if God's Spirit is on me, anointing me, to know your thoughts, your mind, who you are, where you're from, I lay hands on you in the name of Jesus Christ, and rebuke the diabetes, that Jesus Christ make you well. Amen. As thou has believed so will it be unto you. Go, believing with all your heart.

80 Young man, if I told you you was healed while you sat in the chair, would you believe it? Go right on, you've had... You received your healing. God be with you and bless you.
Be reverent. Have faith.
Just a moment, there's a deaf... Oh, here it is. The woman's deaf. Bow your head, just a moment. Oh, almighty and eternal God, who laid the foundations of the world, and spread forth all things, made man in Your image, and then brought down Your Son, Jesus Christ, and He was made liken unto man to take away sin of man, and to restore man back into fellowship as sons and daughters of God... Therefore, upon the basis of His shed blood, I come confessing a gift of divine healing, which is ministered to me by an Angel, saying to this deaf spirit that's deafened the woman, "Come out of her! In the name of Jesus Christ, receive the hearing."
Can you hear me? Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? Say, "Amen." (Sister says, "Amen.") " I love the Lord." This is so wonderful. Say, "Amen. I love the Lord." How long have you been deaf now? Listen, how you can hear now. See, I've got my fingers stuffed in here. Can you hear me all right? Say, "Amen." There you are; you're perfectly normal. Go off the platform, saying, "Thanks be to God."
Hallelujah! Glory be to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the great Alpha, Omega, the beginning and the ending.

81 I see hanging before me here, a child. It's a baby. And it's examined. The little fellow is ruptured. It's sitting in this audience. There's the baby. Lay your hand on him, sister. In the name of Jesus Christ, I condemn that enemy. Come out of the child. Take it home, believe God; it'll get well. Have faith in God.
You believe me with all your heart? What do you think, sitting over there, looking at me like that with a little red coat around you, sitting there about to die with cancer. Do you believe Jesus Christ makes you well now? If you do, stand up on your feet, and believe it.
What are you, sitting next to her, waving your hands? You have bladder trouble, don't you? You're healed. Jesus Christ makes you well.

82 What about you with your hands crossed, sitting there? You've got a colon trouble. Isn't that right? Stand up on your feet; Jesus Christ makes you well. Bless God. God can do all things.
You've got cancer too, haven't you, lady? Stand on your feet; Jesus Christ makes you well.
What do you think, you two sitting there together as husband and wife? You've got a tumor. You've got stomach trouble. Isn't that right? Aren't you walking on crutches, got some kind of crutches? Jesus Christ makes you well. Stand on your feet and be made well. You don't need them no longer. Take your crutches on your shoulder and go home. You don't need it. Christ makes you well now.
What do you think, sitting there with that asthma, lady? You believe that God's going to make you well? You do? Yes, sir. Stand up on your feet. Jesus Christ heals you of that asthmatic condition. Hallelujah!

83 What do you think sitting over there with that little boy? You think God will heal him of that kidney trouble, sitting right there at the end? Do you believe it, brother, with all your heart? Stand up on your feet there. Lay your hand over on the child. Almighty God, I condemn that kidney trouble, and ask for its healing. In Jesus Christ's name may it be made well. He's healed. Go home; he will never do it no more. God makes him well.
Every person in here can be made well this very minute, if you'll believe. Do you believe?
What about you in these wheelchairs? Are you ready to be healed? Do you believe? If you can, you can push your wheelchairs right out of the building. Be made well. Every person in here can be made well. If you believe it, stand on your feet. I feel the anointing power of the Holy Ghost moving through me right now. For the prayer of faith that will save every sick person in here. Believe it.
Lord Jesus, I condemn every sickness in this building. Come out of here, Satan. You're a looser; you've lost the battle. Jesus Christ has made you every one well. Rise up and go home, and be healed.

Divine Healing

1 "... is in there. I've got to cast the net till every fish is took out; you know every one is yours." I said, "Then I bring them out, then they're yours then. I presented them to you." But I said, "You ain't going to get them out of there unless you seine them out."
And that's what preaching is to do, is to seine them out. And we cast the net in here; maybe the Lord say, "Well, throw your net in on this side." And we'd throw in there, and pull out. Well in there, we don't get maybe but just a fish or two in that altar call. Maybe some of them come up and go on back out in the world, don't make any difference to them. Well, we done our best.

2 We go to the next hole, and cast our net in and pull out of there, and see what we can get in that one. Maybe don't get a thing in that one. Maybe a bunch come to the altar. None of them held out; so that's up to the Lord, you see.
So we go to the next hole and cast in, maybe get a whole bunch of fish in that one, see.
Then, after a while, see, we just go and throw our net in, that's all, see. The Lord has predestinated us to preach the Gospel, predestinated them who will hear it to eternal life. Now, we've got to throw the net, that's right, see, whatever the Lord's is. Here they all laying around the altar, "Now, Lord, there they are. I done my best. Here is the Gospel net, got them every one caught. You know what is fish. And You know what is turtles. And You know what is snakes. And You know what's frogs. And You know what it is. It's Yours to do the picking out." But we just cast the net.
He seen it, but he didn't admit it. Well, that's all right. Just as long as you present it, all right.

3 Now, looks like everybody is singing songs about a white Christmas, and praying for the same. We may have it, looks like. This keeps up, we may have the white Christmas. And Christmas is the time of year...
I just wish it could be Christmas all the time. Everybody seems to be so friendly around Christmas time, wanting to help one another, and everything. Everybody down on the street say, "How are you, brother?" Other times of the year won't even speak to you. So it'd be good if it stayed Christmas, wouldn't it? Just Christmas all the time.

4 And the fact of all the error and everything there is about it, there is something about it that the world tries to make it an "X-mas," you know. But God has still got a Christmas in it somewhere, hasn't He? He sure has. He's got something about it, just the very names, and the thoughts of the birth of the Lord Jesus. Oh, the world has put Santa Claus in His place, sure, but not to the Christian. It's still Christmas.
Now, the Christmas is not a Protestant holiday. It's a Catholic day. The 25th of December was months and months before our ... after, or before our Lord was born. Our Lord was born in April. But He wasn't born in December. If you've been in Judea in December, it's colder than this, so you know He wasn't born in December. And it's spelled, it's C-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s, a mass for Christ. It's a Christ-mass.
We only have one Protestant holiday in America and Mr. Roosevelt changed that for us. That's Thanksgiving. The rest of them are all Catholic days, every one of them, see. Mr. Roosevelt changed that for us. So we just have it on every Thursday, or some week, or something like that. It isn't on a regular set day anymore.

5 So see what a bundle we got! The whole world has become a conglomeration of muck, and sin, and despair. And it's got to get that way to blow up, see. The whole thing has pulled all the ties out, all the iron and stuff to make ships and bridges, and so forth. What God put it together with, and welded it together, and mend it together like this; taken all the gas and oils and things out of it like that, to burn, and the gasoline in the cars, and so forth. And pulling all the coal out to make electricity, see. You just hauling it out till it's just become a hull, just with streaks, and things out of it like that.
And then the people has just become so sinful, till it's just become a great big muck, till it's just like it was in the beginning: "God grieved that He ever made man." It just takes one little atomic jar to set the whole thing out of order there. Just exactly what He said would do, you see.

6 So we're just living in that day, and happy to be a Christian. Oh, my! My, what could I do if I...? I believe I'd go wild if I wasn't a Christian, looking at the thing. I don't see how people can stand it. I just don't understand how a men can walk on earth today without being a Christian. I wish anybody would give me a reason, some reason, why not to serve Christ. You can't give a sensible reason, see. This is the day that we all ought to be happy and ready; the great homecoming time is at hand.
And, oh, my, there's just, "Mene mene tekel upharsin," wrote on every nation, every wall, everywhere. Every democracy, every kingdom, everywhere else, is falling. "Thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting," kingdoms has. Kings has failed, and dictators has failed. Democracy has failed. Churches has failed. Human beings has failed. Everything has failed.
"You say, 'Churches'?" Yes, sir.

7 One of the biggest failures in the world is the church. That's right. Churches have miserably failed. Everything has failed. "But we receive a kingdom which will not fail; Jesus Christ." It cannot fail. And we're so happy for that, that it's not a church affair. It's an individual affair. It's not whether my church is saved; it's whether I am saved. It isn't whether my deacon is saved, or my pastor is saved, or my mother is saved; it's whether I am saved or not, myself, I must be saved. Then I must tell them. And then, if they're saved, wonderful; if they're not, I must still remain saved. I must obtain my salvation. Oh, what a wonderful day!

8 I think, every day, pretty near, on Eddie Perronett's song, that my hope... No, it wasn't Eddie Perronett, I forget who wrote it. "My hopes is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness." Isn't that a wonderful song? "All around my soul gives way, and He is all my hope and stay," see. "On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand."

9 When little Doctor... forget his name... He was preaching the power of the resurrection of Christ. Was in, you know, a great formal church in New York City, not long ago. I had it in the paper, where it was cut out. And his congregation was all against him. He believed in the supernatural, the resurrection of Christ, the eternal life, the Baptism of the Spirit to give life to the individual believer, and signs and wonders.
And his congregation was fixing to put him out. They had a lease there. He had some option that he could stay at this church for so long, and oh, they just sat there and soured down on the man preaching. But he was convicted that he was right. He was a sick man, too. And he said... No, he wasn't a sick man, I beg your pardon. He just died at the pulpit, but he wasn't a sick man. They grieved him to death. And so they just soured down on him and wouldn't listen to him, and everything. He just kept on preaching the truth.
They had just a social religion, "Oh, we come together. And Mrs. Jones, over here, belongs to here, so we come together. And we have our little tea parties and everything." It's just a social affair, but he believed that that was nonsense.
"That we should come together and be born again." And they made fun of him, and everything, about his religion, everything.

10 And one morning, while standing there, crying at the pulpit, preaching that Jesus Christ was reality, he had a heart attack. And he started falling, and he stood back like that. And some of them... He had a couple of doctors in his audience, so they come picked him up. They put the thing on his heart.
They said, "He's got a heart attack." Said, "Sir, you're dying."
He said, "Am I dying?"
Said, "Yes."
Said, "Have two of my faithful deacons to come here."
They come around and lifted him up. And they said, "Now, what does this new religion, this thing that you're talking about, mean to you now?"
And he said, "Now, turn me loose." They turned him loose. He lifted up his hands. He said, "On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand! All other grounds is sinking sand!" And as he did, he staggered backwards like this. There was a cross hanging behind him. He throwed one arm over one cross, and one over the other side, like that. Said, "All other grounds is sinking sands! All other grounds is sinking sand."
Thought, O God, that's the way! That's it. That's it, died on the cross, you see, for... All other grounds is sinking sands. Christ is the only hope we have. Our faith is built on nothing less.

11 Now, this morning, I was going to go into the book of Hebrews, the seventh chapter. Being that hearing these testimonies this morning, and our requests for prayer, I thought I'd just change it from teaching on "Melchisedec being the Priest, the order made after the high priest, remaineth a Priest forever." And come back over in the Gospel ... or, the Acts, rather, and speak ... or, teach this morning on divine healing instead, because being so many people that's sick.
I just heard them requests. I was sitting there, reading, studying on this here sixth chapter of Hebrews where Melchisedec, the King of Salem, the King of Peace, and so forth. Then I begin to hear all... I heard Brother Neville ask if anyone... I begin to hear, "My mother; my baby; my this; my..."
I thought, Oh!
Something just said, "Go back over into the New Testament now, over into one of the..." And I turned over here then, begin to read. The Acts, the fourth chapter, is where we're going to start from this morning to read. Just don't know why, but the Holy Spirit wanting me to change this over to teach on this. Not knowing what to say, of course, never, but just being submissive to the Holy Spirit.

12 Now, everyone heard of where the next meeting will be. We begin at Chicago, the Philadelphian Church, and from there to some auditorium. I don't know just where, yet. We're just going to begin. I may be there a day, and I may be there six months, see. Just to begin, and stay till God says, "This is enough," now move somewhere else. And we begin on the 12th day of next month, the 12th day of January at the Philadelphian Church in Chicago. And then we're hoping soon to be in Phoenix and out in the West, and around, as the Lord will provide.

13 And I am desperately in need of prayer, of you peoples to pray for me. Not for health. I'm very thankful and grateful for my good health the Lord has given me. And I'm healthier and better, I guess, than I ever was and have been for the last few years. And I'm grateful to the Almighty God, who He alone gave it to me, you see. Because everything, all others, just fail and said I couldn't do it, I couldn't make it even to Mayos. But I am, this morning, by the grace of God, as far as I know, in perfect health. So I'm so happy for that. And giving God all praise and all glory, because no other creature, nothing else could have done it but Him. So I'm happy for it.
But spiritually, I'm needing spiritual guidance. It seems to me, all the time, that I'm a failure. It just something haunting at me, "Oh, you're such a poor excuse." Well, that's right, see. I know that. But what little I have, I want to do the best that I can with what I've got. And I'm longing for more guidance of the Holy Spirit, to know what to do that's right.

14 Because, after you get forty-five years old... Of course, I realize I keep saying, "Getting old," but that's not old. I don't mean to make some of you people that's older than I, feel bad. Why, here is Brother Bosworth in his eighties, and better man today than I am. And look, old Dr. Hamm over there, a hundred years old, and he's a good preacher yet. So I got a long, long ways to go to get to that. And doubtful if whether he'd admit he's an old man or not. So it's just...
It's just... The idea of it is that, of course now, if I'm ever going to be at any season, or any age to be the best for the Lord, it'd probably be right now, see. Because, all the kid things are passed away, and you're settling down, turning gray, and you know, just it's the time of life where you really should be anchored and strong enough yet, and just at your very best; mellowed out, the kid part, and the boyhood beat out, just at the time to enter the field. And if I'm probably ever going to know anything that I have, I should know it now. And I'm so thankful for what He has showed me in His Gospels, and how I'm so glad of that.
But yet, I just ... I just can't satisfy myself, somehow. I just, something, I hunger for God. There's just something I ought to be doing, looks like, and I just can't get to doing it right, somehow. It was here, years ago, I used to tell you, I could just reach after something and almost touch it, you see. It just seems to me like there is something else out there, I'm just almost touching somewhere. If I could only get that spot, that would be fine.

15 Now, I was asked about the book that Mr. Church wrote, of them things in there. And oh, many has been calling asked if I was going to say anything about it, and everything. No, I ain't saying nothing about it. Just let it alone, see.
Listen, I'll probably be preaching divine healing when Mr. Church is buried. So now, see, divine healing... When me and Mr. Church both is laying in our graves, God's Bible will still be teaching divine healing, and people will be practicing it. So it doesn't make any difference. It's too bad that we American preachers hasn't got enough to do but just go around and argue with one another, and pick a fuss to stir up something, you see. When God's Word declares divine healing. And they have done it from ages all the way through. And it always will be that way.
And as far as believing the Word is inspired, I believe that every iota in that Bible is inspired. There is none of it...

16 Let me just pass a little something to you here while we're thinking of it. You know what makes Protestants turns Catholic? Is because the Catholics believes this Word is inspired. The Protestant believes some parts of it is inspired. The part he wants it to be inspired, it's inspired; the rest of it is not inspired. If it hits his doctrine, it's not inspired, see. That's the Protestant.
The Catholic says that it's all inspired, every bit of it, but their church is over the Word. So ... make any difference what the Word says, it's the church. Therefore, I couldn't conscientiously be a Catholic.
Nothing against Catholic people. They are my friends. And if they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, they're my brother, and may accept Him as personal Saviour.

17 Now, the churches is what I mean. I disagree with the Catholic doctrine. I could not be a Catholic in that manner, the Roman Catholic church, because, they ... the infallibility of the pope; and the church over the Word; and the church being above the Bible. I couldn't do that.
I can't conscientiously be a Protestant, because I can't take part of the Word and say, "Part of it's inspired, and this part is inspired; this meant something else, and this..."
I'm a Bible worshipper. I believe that that is God's Word. There is nothing over it, and never will be. And as long as there is an eternity, it'll still be the Word of God, see. I believe that is...
Now,

18 there may be things there that I don't understand. Maybe things that I can't bring to pass, with my little weak faith I have. Maybe I can't bring it to pass, but it's still the truth. It's God's Word. It's God's Word. Regardless of what anyone else says, I believe it to be the Word of God.
And I believe that in there is the seed. This is a basket full of seeds. And I believe that the Holy Spirit takes that seed and sows it into our hearts, like that. Don't you believe that? And we become His children.
So therefore, I've got to believe. If there's one word not inspired, then I couldn't trust the book. I couldn't believe it, because if this part is not inspired...
Mr. Church said certain parts of the Bible is not inspired, like Mark 16 and so forth. Says it's not inspired.
Why, I met his Methodist minister friends right in New Albany, and they disagreed with him by a hundred million miles. They said that they couldn't stomach that. And a Presbyterian preacher standing there said, "Well, brother, I don't know what's the matter with the man." See? Now, he said, "Well, now look, if..."
I said, "That's what makes Catholics. That's what makes the Protestants what they are, a weak bunch of nothing," see. I said, "It's what it is, because they have no hopes. They can't build their hopes on this Bible, because part of it is inspired; part of it's not."

19 Then, no wonder that Mohammedan... Dr. Reedhead, when he was standing there, and asked the Mohammedan why didn't he accept the resurrected Lord Jesus. He said, "Well," he said, "let me see you teachers make your Word come to pass, what your Jesus said would do."
He said, "Oh, you're referring to Mark 16." He says, "That's not inspired."
He said, "What kind of a book are you reading?" He said, "Our Koran, every bit of our Koran is inspired." That's the Mohammedan Bible. Said, "It's inspired. We believe every word of it. And everything that Mohammed promised, we can make it say so." That's right. Said, "Now, you people make this Bible say so." Said, "Now, if it ain't inspired, then you ain't got nothing," see. There you are. Said, "You haven't got a thing but a little theory in your mind." Well, the man is exactly right. Let it be a pagan, let it be a heathen there; he is exactly right.
But I say it's inspired, and every word of it is the truth. Every word of it is the truth.
And let me show you something. Jesus Christ said, when He wrote the last chapter in this Bible, He said, "He that will add to, or take out of this Word, the same will be taken out of the book of life." Is that right? Who adds to it, or takes away from it.
Therefore I believe with all my heart that from "In the beginning" of Genesis to "Amen" in Revelations is inspired of God. It's every bit the truth. There's not one word of it wrong. It's all the truth. I believe every word of it. I don't want to take away, or add any. Don't need no more, I just need that. And that's just what I need.
What do you think about that, Gene? You think that's about truth? I believe it is the truth, every word of it, so we just believe it that way.

20 Now, if you get men with narrow vision in America... Look here, friends, where we're arguing about being Methodist or Baptist or Pentecostal, and on evidences, and all these other things; thousands times thousands every day are dying that never heard of Jesus Christ. That's right. About a hundred and forty thousand people die every day, unconverted.
And we're arguing whether you must speak with tongues, or whether you must shout, or whether you must belong to the Methodist or Baptist or Pentecostal church, little old things. And us preachers, lazy, laying around here doing nothing, around over America, preaching to people has been preached to over and over and over. It's like combing through, and combing through, and combing through. That's it. And millions in the other lands!
And Jesus, the very last commission He give, was, "Go into all the world, and preach this Gospel to every creature." Can you see then, friend, why I can't stay home? There is just something in me, tearing me to pieces. I realize something has got to be done, brother, sister. I can't do it myself. And I don't know what...
I see these missionary societies, and how they fold up and fail and everything else over there, because they got the wrong thing to go with; over there with theology. Well, them people laugh at that. You can't go over there with theology. They don't even believe that stuff. You've got to show them that God is God. That's right.
And what can a person do? I don't know. But I know, one of these days it'll all be over, and the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and say, "Time shall be no more."

21 I think of when Daniel was standing there on the banks that day, and he saw that vision. An Angel come down clothed in the sun, a rainbow over His head. He put one foot on the land and one on the sea; and raised up His hand and swore by Him that lives forever and ever that "Time shall be no more." Hmm! That's got to happen one of these days. Every Word of it is going to be just as He said it was.

22 So then ... and then what am I going to do then? What are you going to do then? See, you're responsible, just as I am responsible. We're all responsible. We're responsible for the death of Jesus Christ, every one of us, until we've accepted Him as personal Saviour, then work for Him with all of our heart. If God has given us something to do, we fail to do it, then God will require it at the end of the day.
Oh! So, God, give me faith, give me courage. Encourage me!
I get so easy to become discouraged, you see, because I see things that it's wrong, and I can't straighten it. There is no need of me trying to do it. There is just no need. Just like arguing with that brother about his book. You never get nothing by arguing.

23 Here not long ago, A. B. Neums... You know him; the man that died last week. He was going over me, just raking me over the coals and things about divine healing. Now Brother Neums was a good man, I trust in glory today with the other saints of God, shouting the victory.
Now, what attitude he taken towards divine healing... I don't care if every preacher, pope, and everything else would raise up and condemn divine healing, tomorrow I will be preaching divine healing. That's right, see. Because why? It's in the Word. It's God's Word. It's what God said. I'm responsible for what God said. And I'm responsible, as a minister, to preach what God said and call it the truth.

24 I was going over to get Brother Boze. I turned on the radio. I like to hear Brother Neums; he's a good preacher. And I went over to hear him. And on the road over, oh my, he was raking divine healing as fanaticism, and devils and everything else. And he said, "For instance, the Bosworth brothers." He said, "When I was ... I was with them when they was in their best, when they were young men, just both kids." And said, "They both died, nothing but boys." Said, "If there would be anything of divine healing, what about that?"
I thought, Oh, Brother Neums! My!
He said, "Aimee McPherson died, nothing but a girl, see, just a young kid." And Aimee was an old woman when she died.

25 So I thought, Oh, my. Well, I went on out, and I thought, I know that he has made such a error. So I went out to the airplane place over there, and I went in. I called him up. I said, "Brother Neums?"
He said, "Yes."
I said, "This is Brother Branham."
He said, "What do you want?"
And I said, "Brother Neums, you made a little mistake this morning that'll hurt you, if you don't watch, brother. I believe you'd do the same thing for me. But you spoke and said the Bosworth brothers died when they were both young kids."
He said, "They did."
I said, "Brother Neums, B. B. is in Detroit now, holding a meeting. And F. F., Fred Bosworth, is my manager." And I said, "He is nearly eighty years old. He is in Miami at the time." And I said, "Brother Neums, two years ago, we held a revival right here in Louisville together, where thousands of people come and listened to Brother Bosworth." And I said, "His picture goes out through thousands of people around over the land here and everything, his articles and things." I said, "He is living today and in the very best of health." And I said, "A strong man here at nearly eighty years old, still preaching the Gospel; just returned from Africa with me." I said, "That's the truth."
I said, "Brother Neums, I believe you'd do the same thing for me." I said, "Why, you've got a great message here on the radio and so forth. You got all the ... and lots of people listening to you. And Brother Neums, if they find out... And they know that, thousands of people is listening to you, who knows Bosworth right now." I said, "You make such a statement as that, it'll hurt your ministry, and we're brothers. You shouldn't do that."
Said, "I'll straighten it up."

26 Well, see, there's no need of fighting. God takes care of all things, you see. Don't do it. Just love them. Return good for evil, all the time. Is that right? When anybody speaks good about you; well, be thankful. If anybody speaks bad about you; bless them anyhow. Sure. That's right. God takes care of the rest. He's the One. Isn't that right? He is the One. So after all, we all got to answer to Him.
And no matter what it is, if your arch-enemy... If you got any feeling at all, and the worst enemy you got that you know was going to go to a place like hell, it'd make you feel bad.
I don't know of a person, I can't think of the lowest person in the world today---that it was Stalin up there, ever who it was---I'd hate to know that man was suffering in the torments of hell this morning. I'd hate to know it. I sure would. I pray God have mercy upon his lost soul as he died, see, that God won't let him suffer like that in eternity. Think of a human in the torment of hell, that the Bible pictures here to the unbeliever. Just think, a human being... Why, it'd make a stone heart to want a man to go to a place like that. I'd do everything I could to keep him out of it. I sure would. And feel sorry for him, to the depths of my heart, if he went to a place like that.
Now, you can see a brother doing wrong, and try to guide him, but if he won't listen, then the only thing to do is love him, anyhow, and pray for him. Isn't that right?

27 Now, how many loves Him with all your heart? With all your heart, just love the Lord. That's just good. Now, keep that up. Just keep that up. And just want to love Him more.

28 Now, this morning, in the blessed old Word here! Oh, it's such a marvelous, thing to read this New Testament, Old Testament, any of it. But the fourth chapter of Acts this morning where we start for a little preview now. We're going back. This is during the time that the church had just been rekindled. And this is the time that we like to speak of.

29 Now, somebody, don't let me speak too long. I got a funeral service right immediately after the service here, at Coot's Chapel, this afternoon at two o'clock---a Mr. Underwood. And tomorrow afternoon---a Mr. Tinsley, our neighbor here, died yesterday. And so, eighty-five years old, and so I have his funeral tomorrow.
I just asked Sister Gertie if she'd come with a hymn for me, to play one, 'cause I don't think they even have a song or anything for this afternoon. The people, I guess... And I asked Sister Gertie if she'd come play for me this afternoon. Maybe we can get fixed for tomorrow for Mr. Tinsley's funeral.

30 Now, in the early age of the church here, this first group of people, they'd...
Israel had been kind of beat down for years and years, but now it had come to the place that Messiah had come and give them a hope on this Lord Jesus. But beginning, He was persecuted, made fun of, spit upon, called "holy-roller," everything, or just fanatic, Beelzebub, the devil, and everything else. But He had one purpose, and that was to do the will of God. And regardless of how many people was against Him, still He come that the Word of God might be fulfilled. Is that right.
Now, look at the scholars and teachers of that day. Why, they were scholars beyond anything that we could produce today, as far as scholarship. And as far as holiness, why, they would make the Holiness church today feel ashamed of themselves, when it come to holiness. They really had to live holy. They lived a separated, consecrated life, like Roman Catholic priests today. Not hardly like them, 'cause they're out in parishes. But all these had to be in one place, right there in the temple; thousands times thousands of them in there, separated, consecrated, just like the Vatican City.
And they were scholars of the Scripture. They had to know it all just letter by letter by letter. And they were so perfect at it even a crook in a letter would just make a whole difference in everything. They had to "touch not, handle not." And even if they were... They had to be... The Bible said, "They were found blameless." Now, that's really knowing it, isn't it?

31 All them and, yet, having their heads set strong on one solid thing that they had been taught, and not willing to be flexible to the Gospel, the whole power of God, they failed to recognize the Lord Jesus Christ. There He was, and the whole Scripture spoke of Him coming, but they failed to recognize it because they had their own theology. "We are the church! And if anything comes, it comes through us. And we rule the countries and religion. And we are this, and we are that." Very beautiful picture of Catholicism today, see. "We have everything under our own condition."

32 And then they broke off into little isms, such as Pharisees, Sadducees, different. The Pharisees believed in spirit and angel, a resurrection. The Sadducees didn't believe in angels, spirit, or resurrection. And they had all kinds of different sects among them, just like we have today, same thing.

33 And here was a man raised up, said, "We're a great person." One raised up as a Jesus, took four hundred men out in the wilderness; they all perished. And then others raised up, saying they were some great person, and led them off on some kind of cults, and so forth.
And right in the midst of all that time, the real, genuine article of God come into the world---the real thing. Oh, my! That would start us rejoicing right away. He come, not having cults, not agreeing with cults, not agreeing with the church; but doing one thing: the perfect will of God that was written in the Bible. That's right. He had His... He knew what the Father had said. He knew the Scripture, by inspiration. So He stayed, regardless of what they said.
He said, "Why, you hypocrites!" He said, "You make your traditions so binding," and so forth like that. "And by your traditions, you make the Word of God of none effect," see.
Oh, how He laid it to the hewing rock, every bit of it, brother. He went right on, nothing changing. Oh, I like His fearless way. Don't you? Never a time that He was ever a bit upset. He knowed He walked perfectly in the will of God.

34 When the storm's raging, the little old boat about ready to sink, He walked out just as cool as He could be. Put His foot up on the brail of the boat, and looked up, said, "Peace," to the Father, "Peace." Looked out upon the ocean, said, "Be still." Walked back and laid down. The waves was just as calm. That was Him. Never scared. Never excited. Never fussy.
They said, "Oh, we know who He is, Beelzebub. We know He does this by the prince of the devils."
He said, "If Satan cast out Satan, then his kingdom is divided. And if I, by the finger of God, cast out devils, who does your children cast them out by? You be the judge." Just as cool as He could be. Never... Why, faith was just a subconscious to Him. He just walked on, 'cause He knowed He was doing perfectly the will of God.

35 When He healed the sick... What did the Bible say, the reason He healed the sick? "He healed the sick, that it might be fulfilled." Why? See? Why? It's easy to believe anything God says.
If God says, "Tomorrow, that there's going to be so hot that everybody could go swimming," it wouldn't be hard for me to get a swimming suit ready. If He said, "It's going to pour down rain tomorrow all day long," it's easy for me to take an umbrella with me. Is that right? If God says, "It's going to be a good season next year, and all the crops are going to grow, everywhere," I can just plant anything with good faith, see. Is that right? If God says He's going to give us a great meeting tonight, I'd come without even a text in my mind. He's going to do it, anyhow. Is that right? God said so! That settles it.
If you're suffering, just nearly ready to die, and God said, "I am the Lord that healeth Thee." That don't waver you a bit; just go on. God said so, see. That's just that unconscious faith like, you see. Just go right on, believing it. God said so, and that just settles it.

36 Well, it was easy for Jesus, because He knew He come in the acceptable year to do the thing of God, and to preach the Word of God, and to do the signs of God, and to fulfill what God said would come to pass. Well, why can't the church today think the same thing, the very words that Jesus said, see?
Because we, some... We get back and say, "Oh, the days of miracles is passed. Glory to God. This part is not inspired. That is but this is not, 'cause them things can't happen today," see. That's the reason we can't move on.
Oh, if one great body of Christ would raise up in love and respect, you see, and move right on as one heart in one accord, unconscious of the faith that's around them! Brother, you'd see a church on earth that would... The Millennium would set in right then. It's coming. It's coming. Oh, yes. And by God's grace we're going to see it. I'm going to be right there. That's right. God has promised it. I believe Him, so I will be right there when it happens.

37 Now, now it broke the disciples' heart when they knowed He was going away. He said, "I go away. A little while and the world won't see Me no more."
They said, "What is He speaking? He is the hardest man to understand." Nobody understood Him. Why, they would say... He said to His brothers...
His brothers said, "Let's go up to the feast."
He said, "I'm not going up." When they left, He said, "I'm going up another way. I ain't going up with them." Because His brothers didn't even believe on Him. That's right. His own people didn't believe on Him. He said, "I go up another way." Why, they wondered how.
And he said, "This man speaks in riddles. We can't understand."

38 Way over here in the 17th chapter, he said, "Lo..." Just before He went away into glory, he said: "Lo, now Thou speakest plainly, and not in riddles, or in proverbs," and so forth.
See, they would say, "Now, He said this?" Nicodemus, when he was talking with Him, said, "How could a man be born again?" He said, "'Except a man be born of water,' all these things, how can it be?" They couldn't understand. He said, "That man talks in mystery." Nobody understood it. Even His own mother didn't understand Him.
He was a hard man to understand because He was of God, and their mind was of the world. So He made it altogether different then. A mind of the world against the inspiration of God, why, it's foolishness. But the strange thing, that He had power to do what He said He would do. That's where it got them. And He could do things that other men couldn't do.

39 So then He said, "Now, a little while, and the world won't see Me no more, yet you shall see Me." Now, listen to this: "Yet ye shall see Me." The "ye." Who was He talking to? Believers. Is that right? He said, "Ye shall see Me. For I, (not someone else), for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the apostles"? To how long? "The end of the world." All the way through, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Now, "I go away. I will pray the Father; He will give you another comforter, which is the Holy Ghost." "I," personal pronoun, which was the body. "I go away. I pray the Father, before I go; the Father is in Me. And He will send you another comforter, which is the Holy Ghost. He is in Me now. When He comes, He will reprove the world of sin. And the very same things that I do, shall you do. Now, I want you to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature."
The Gospel is the demonstration of the power of God, see. Paul said, "The Gospel come not in word only, but through power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost."
"Now, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the apostles"? No. I mean, "To the end of the world." "A little while and the world won't see Me no more. They'll criticize it, make fun of it, just like they do now," He said. "But ye, the believer, shall see Me; for I will be with you, even in you, all the way to the end of the world." I'd like to see somebody rub that away. "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever." "The very things that I do, you'll do also."

40 Now, that's either right or it's wrong. And if it's right, it'll make it right. And I can prove it, right here this morning, that it is right, by God's grace, doing the same things that He did then.
Now, the world stands by, and say, "Ha, the Man has lost His mind. He's crazy. That ain't nothing. Them people is just worked up," see. Because that's the world. Oh, you may have a big name, but that don't have nothing to do with it. What about up there, see? All right. Now, we believe it to be the same.

41 Then, the disciples, they wondered. They said, "O Lord, where goest Thou? Oh, where is it You're going, we can't go with You?"
And this 14th chapter of Saint John, He explained it. He said, "I go to My Father's house, for in there is many mansions. I'll go and prepare a place for you. I'll come again to get you, someday and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." And He said, "The things that I do shall you do also."

42 Thomas looked at Him ... or, Philip, rather, and said, "Lord, show us the Father. Who is this Father You're going to?"
He said, "Why, I've been so long with you, you don't know Me?" He said, "When you see Me, you see the Father. The Father is in Me. Believe that I and the Father are one. Or, believe Me for the very work's sake, that the Father is in Me. It's not Me that doeth the works; it's the Father that's in Me, doeth the works."

43 I'm not the Holy Spirit. You're not the Holy Spirit. But if there's anything... He is not the Holy Spirit. But those messages he preaches was not of him. It's the Holy Spirit in him. Is that right? Well, some of these days, this whole, little, old frothy frame of his is going to drop down, but his Holy Spirit and his spirit become one. And as that Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the grave, also brings his body up in the resurrection, you see. So that's the hopes that we have today.

44 So well, they all got discouraged, and they went up, on the day of Pentecost. And Jesus told them, said, "Go up there and wait."
They seen Him after His resurrection. They thought, Oh, my! This is wonderful! We see Him raised up.
Even Thomas said, "Lord, I..."
Said to the apostles, first, "I won't even believe it, unless I can put my hand in His side."
And about that time, Jesus appeared in the room. Said, "Thomas," said, "come here." Said, "Touch My hands. Put your hands here in My side." Said, "Feel Me. Has a spirit got flesh and bones like I got?" Said, "You got anything to eat?"
They said, "Yes, we got some bread and fish over here."
Said, "Give me some of it." And He stood there and eat it, and swallowed it. Said, "Now, does a spirit eat the way you see Me eat?"
Thomas said, "Oh, it's not only my Lord, but He's my God." He said, "My Lord and my God!"
He said, "Now, Thomas, because you've felt Me, and you've seen Me, and you've handled Me, and everything, you believe." He said, "How much better is their faith who never has seen Me and yet believe Me," see.
He said, "Now, come out here." He went out. He said, "Now, behold, I send the promise of the Father upon you." Said, "But tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until you're endued with power from on High."
He said, "Now, I want you to go into all the world and preach the Gospel; all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature." Is that right? He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe; in My name they shall cast out devils; they'll speak with new tongues; they'll take up serpents; they'll drink deadly things; if they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." And when He did that, He give them their last commission.

45 What was the first commission He ever give to His apostles? You like me to read it to you? It's found in the tenth chapter of Matthew. Jesus commissioned His disciples. He said, "Go out, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; as freely as you have received, freely give." Matthew the 10th chapter. Is that right? That's His first commission to His apostles.
His last commission to the apostles...
That wasn't only the apostles, now. They chose seventy. That right? Seventy had been chosen. And He give the whole seventy, sent them by two's, two and two. He said, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; as freely you receive, freely give. Don't take no money, and a whole lot of changes of clothes and a big suitcase," said, "just take off." Said "For the laborer is worthy of his hire. Don't muzzle the ox that tramps out the corn." Said, "Go ahead." And then they went out and preached. That was His first commission.

46 Then, His last commission was, "Go ye into all the world..." Now, if His first commission was to "heal the sick and cast out devils," how you going to try to cut off the last commission, which is really more important than the first commission? The first commission was given before Jesus was ever glorified, before the Atonement was ever made. And if divine healing was the other side of the Atonement, and the Atonement speaking of divine healing, how can we deny it on this side of the Atonement? Can't do it. Can't do it. It just isn't to be denied. It's the Word of God.

47 And every time, through any revival, any age that they ever had a revival, they had divine healing and miracles in it. Through Moody, through Sankey, through Wesley, through Knox, through Calvin, all, every one had signs and wonders. But the world has cooled off, see. It was cooled off then, too. But they started a revival. Look at John Wesley. Talk about miracles! Martin Luther!
Even great men, even like presidents, like Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and all of them! Before Valley Forge, George Washington prayed till his sides was wet plumb up here, standing in the snow. The next day, three musket bullets went right through his coat and never touched him, see.
Why, it's been miracles all along, yes, sir, all the time. God is a miracle worker. And all believes Him, that's born of Him, has the same mind that was in God is in the man, for he's a son of God. And he can't do nothing else but believe the great and powerful, the supernatural, because he is a part of that supernatural.

48 Look at God, before there even was an atom in the air, before there was anything, and nothing but God everywhere. He filled all space and all time. He said, "Let there be," and it was. This world that we live on is just one of God's words speaking out and materialized. Now, if you're a part of Him, you have to believe that. But if you don't believe it, it shows you never become a part of Him.

49 Listen. It's not him that wants to get saved that's saved. It's him that's saved by God's choice. Esau wanted to get saved, too. He wept bitterly, and couldn't find no place to repent. He wanted to get saved. It ain't 'cause you want to get saved. God said, "I've hardened who I will harden. I have mercy on whom I want to have mercy." That's right. He said, "Before Esau or Jacob, either, was born, not knowing right and wrong," God said, "I love Jacob and hate Esau.'" And Esau tried to get right with God, and couldn't. Pharaoh tried to get right with God, and couldn't do it. So it's not you, not what you want. It's what God has ordained for you to do. That's right.
Paul said, in the ninth chapter of Romans there, "Hasn't the potter got power over the clay, to make an honored vessel or a dishonored vessel, to show His glory to those who He has honored?" You didn't know that, did you? It's what the Scripture says.
Pharaoh tried his best to repent. He was kindhearted. He said, "Sure, I'll let you go. Go on."
God said, "No, you ain't. I'm going to harden his heart so he can't do it." Because God's Word has to be fulfilled.
And if we're living in this day, when formalities and things has broken the church down, broke away; why, it's God's Word being fulfilled. As sure as God said, "These signs would follow them that believe;" as sure as God said these churches would be like they are now, God also said this opposition would meet it. So the same God that ordained signs and wonders ordained that these should be persecuting against it. So there you are. If you're on the other side, I feel sorry. And I want you not to be that way, but maybe you can't help it, see. God might have fixed it that way.

50 I asked you a while ago before I said this, how many of you love the Lord? And find out, you was all Christians to begin with, see. Because you cannot be a Christian... This is not for the outside world. This is for people of the Lord.
You can't be a Christian, unless God chooses you. "No man can come to Me, except My Father draws him. And all that comes, then I will give Him everlasting life and will raise him up at the last day." God foreordained it, foreknowed it. Before the world ever began, He said He predestinated us in Christ, as sons of God, before the world ever started." We got to be.
And because you've turned your back... And you seen people you have talked to them; they wouldn't listen to it; they turn their nose up at it; yet, maybe ministers, maybe preachers of the Gospel, maybe what you'd think was renown Christians, but not even saved. That's right. Not even saved.
Look at those Pharisees back there, just as religious, and pious, and clean, and holy as they could be, and Scripture-minded men like that. And Jesus said, "You're of your father the devil," see.

51 There is things in the Bible that the church don't know nothing about, friends. Right, see. And you wonder sometimes, how these things... Why does the Bible say this? Why did Jesus say...
Peter said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." And here we have people up at the altar, tarrying for this and tarrying for that, when that would make God's Word of none effect. God has got to take care of His Word. And the minute you meet His requirement, God will answer His Word that quick. That's right. Because He is there to wait for it.
But you see people saying, "Oh, unless we shout, or unless we speak with tongues, unless we dance in the Spirit." All those things are all right. They're all right, but they have nothing to do pertaining to salvation; not a thing.
Because as soon as you repent of your sins, if truly God has convicted you and you've repented and been baptized in Jesus Christ's name, God is under obligation to give you the Holy Spirit right then, right, because His Word said so.
It's nothing on God's part. It's your part, because people has been mis-taught. Each time they come along, get a little something started, they say, "This is it. This is it." Oh, my! It isn't these fleshly demonstrations; they are attributes of the Holy Spirit.
But receive the Holy Spirit is to receive a person, Christ, then these other things take place in the life.

52 We've seen people shout, and live all kinds of life. We've seen people speak in tongues, and do the same. We've seen people go out and pray for the sick, and be healed; and live any kind of a life. Jesus said, "Many will come to Me and say, 'Lord, have not I prophesied in Your name, preached? Have not I cast out devils in Your name?'
'Yes.'
'Have not I done these mighty works?'
'Yes.'"
He will say, "Well, then, depart from Me, you workers of iniquity. I didn't even know you."
"It ain't him that willeth, or him that runneth, it's God that haveth mercy," the Bible said. He said, "Didn't I say to Moses, 'I have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I harden who I will harden'?" Paul said, "No man..." Well, you say then, "How can He find fault? If He predestinated you to eternal destruction, how can He find fault?" Said, "Oh man, can the thing that's made, say to Him that maketh him thus? Can't do it."

53 So you see people that you can't talk to, and just won't listen; and won't listen to the Scriptures, and believing half of it's right and half of it's wrong, and yet they do this.
You say, "Could that be ministers?"
The Bible said so. Said, "Men of old, was foreordained to this condemnation, to take the grace of God and turn it to lasciviousness" What is lasciviousness? "Knowing truth and won't walk in it!"
It said, "When the truth has been presented to somebody, he willfully turns away from it, he ignores it; there is no more sacrifice for sin left for that person." Why? There is nothing in him to believe. Do you get what I mean?

54 Looky here. How could you feed a lamb, slop? He wouldn't eat it. That's right. He wouldn't eat it because he's a lamb. But a pig will eat it. See what I mean? Because he's a pig by nature.
And all that's ordained to everlasting life will hear the truth and believe the truth, and come to the truth. But those who'll go to church and be just as pious as the rest of them, yet won't receive the truth, because there is nothing in them to blend with it. They can't believe the supernatural, for there's no supernatural in here to blend with the supernatural. There you are. See what I mean? There is nothing supernat...

55 I see a lady has got a little sick baby laying there this morning. I seen her getting out of the car across the street. Something, she probably heard the radio broadcast or something. She knew we was going to pray for the sick. Something down in her heart says, "Take the baby to church." She obeyed that. That's right, see.
For there is something in there says, "It's right." See what I mean? Where did it come from?

56 Every thought, every thing that you have, comes from somewhere. It's got to have a beginning. Is that right? Oh, my! I love this. It's got to have a beginning, and so where did the origination start from? See, it started in glory, whirled around through the Angelic realms. The messengers of God has swept down, said, "This is it." He looked at the Word. Where did it come from? From there.
And there, that part up there, is in here also, says, "It's right."

57 It's like if I want to call California. The first thing, I'd take down my receiver, dial the operator. "Central?"
"Yes."
"Dial me So-and-so, in California." I have to go through central. See what I mean? From my house, out to central; from central, across the nation. That's it.
"Whatever you ask the Father in My name, I will do it." The first thing you know, we have to go through Central. First thing, you have to dial the pages to see if there is such a place. Is that right? And you get the place, then you take down and say, "Father!"
"Yes?"
"In Jesus' name, give me this." There it is.
"Certainly, My son! Plug it in." The feeler come whirling back down through the line, God's Word made manifest. Sure, it is. That's just how simple the Bible is, the believers is, salvation is, healing is. Everything that God promised is there. It's yours. Just ask for it. Anything that He died for belongs to you.

58 There it is, the whole thing, and how we love it! Isn't it food to your soul? And every time we believe, that little speck in there just gets bigger, bigger, bigger, swells out, till after a while it just becomes, you believe all things. And as all things begin to come in, love begins to come in; doubt, hatred, malice, fear, just flies out, like that. It just spreads out, just gets so big till it just bursts the little old shell out. See what I mean? All the world is purged. We grow daily in the grace of God.

59 Now, you notice those people, they can sit and say, "Well, I accept the Lord." You take their word for it. I would too. I can't judge. God does. But in ten years from now, they've never progressed a bit; just staying right in the same old place, see.
We grow daily. Each day our heart hungers, keeps moving on. There is something growing inside of you. Amen. You get bigger, spread out, can take more ter... Paul said ... told the Corinthians church, said, "You're maturing growing. But when you ought to be teachers, you're still babes needing teaching (Is that right?) when you ought to be teachers." Something in there growing out, pushing out, making bigger. The Holy Spirit, growing.
The new birth! If a birth is born from the outside ... from the inside out, the child, it grows if it lives. If it doesn't, it remains. Is that right? Well, when a birth is on the inside, shouldn't it grow? The Christ in your heart ought to be growing daily, getting bigger, more powerful, understanding things better, forgiving, walking on as God would, "till Christ be formed in you, the hope of glory."

60 We must contend with the weak until they are fully matured in Christ Jesus. Then they're good soldiers. Then they've got on the full armor. Talk about them, don't hurt them. Laugh at them, make fun of them; they don't pay no attention to it. They got one thing; they're just so big, my, just so full of glory. The only thing you have to drop is this old robe of flesh, and just go right on to glory, see.
Somebody say, "You know, somebody said you was a hypocrite, Mrs. Jones?"
"Did? Well, God bless them."
"Do you know certain-certain things is going on at that church, oughtn't to be going?"
"Well, I will pray for it," see. Big!
Oh, if you're little, then you say, "Oh, it is? Let me get in. Which side must I join? See, there is where you get in trouble. That's where you can't mature.
But when you get big enough, large enough, you see, swelled out. Not only swelled out but growed out. Christ growing in you, growing out malice, taking it out of you; pushing it out. As God comes in, just pushes out. You say, "Oh, how little, how juvenile it is, how much kids it is to argue and fuss." But first thing you know, it just grows on over top of it. Ain't got no more room for it. "Oh, I used to hate to see this, and hate that. But you know, I just got so I just don't pay any attention to it no more." You're growing. Yes, sir.

61 You know, when you're young, they claim you have growing pains when you're growing. You know what I mean. It means you're getting bigger. You know, you take ... your arms will hurt. And your legs will hurt when you're growing, kids. I had it. I was getting bigger all the time. Oh, my!
Sometimes we have growing pains when we get to be men and women when we're born in the kingdom of God, Christ. But the thing about that, it hurts; the thing about this, it just makes you joyful and happy. It's growing pains. You're going out, getting bigger, getting to be a bigger man now, what you used to be. You can look over things.
Not you just got wider shoulders; that don't mean nothing about it. But you're wider in here, see, not across here. In here, here is where you're supposed to spread out, get bigger, in your heart, on the inside. When Christ comes into the heart, then He comes into the mouth, then He comes into the eyes. He comes into the mind.
He comes into the mouth. He makes you talk different. You don't talk like you used to. Christ got in your mouth. Done growed now from your heart, your love you had for Him, till you can bridle your tongue. Brother, that's a great thing.
Then, the next thing you know, it grows into your eyes. The next thing you know, you find out, that old lustful things you used to look at, you'll turn your head. You're growing.
Then, the first thing you know, you still turn your head, but you're thinking, see. After a while, it grows into your mind; you don't even think about it no more. Then you're just a great big boy then. You're coming into a full matured man living for the Lord. So then, you are in Christ then, a new creature.

62 Now, when these apostles begin to receive that, oh, they were so happy! They thought, Oh, my! Isn't this wonderful?" And the Holy Ghost had filled them, and they were out there healing the sick and doing wonders.
And there was a little fellow by the name of Peter and John. They passed through the gate, was Beautiful (in the third chapter there.) And they...

63 We had more time to deal on it; but we haven't. We got to hurry now, to get down for a few verses. I start a background and never get to the chapter that I was talking about. So then, you get into doing it. It's just so good! It's every bit good. And it's just everywhere you find it, you just don't want to leave it. It's just...
Listen, I've read the Bible for twenty-three years. And if I hadn't read but one line, I could still be preaching on that one line with a new text every night, new thing every night. See, it's just so real! It's inspired. If it's inspired, there is not... It has no end. It's for everlasting to everlasting. If one word, "I am the Lord," you could preach on that for a hundred million years, and it would be just as fresh as the day it was spoke. See, it's just endless. It just goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on. There is no end to it; you just keep on going.

64 Now, listen to this. Now, the disciples, they'd had a wonderful time. And Peter went out to the gate called Beautiful, him and John. They had been up there praying, having a wonderful time. And here laid a man, he was lame. You know what a lame person is, kind of ... can't hardly walk. Maybe had arthritis or something. "He was lame from his mother's womb."
Peter looked, going by there talking with John. Said, "Now, we're going into the temple to worship." Saying, "John, now aren't we having a wonderful time?" or something like that. Glory in their heart. Had to kind of watch what they was saying, 'cause the audience and the people around was so... They was so persecuted.

65 There laid a man, crippled from his mother's womb; poor, old beggar. Looked out there; and he wanted something. Peter said, "Now, silver and gold, I have none. I don't have any money. But such as I have I'll give it to you, if you want to accept it." And he looked up at him, as if to receive something. He said, "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk."
And so the man couldn't move. So Peter just walks over and took him by the hand, him and John both, and lifted him up. Said, "Didn't you hear what we said? Stand up and walk." That's it. The man stood up. And well, why, the first thing you know... Just held him there a little bit, and his ankle bones got a little bit better and he started off.
He said, "Well, looky here!" And away he went. And the first thing you know, he begin to leaping, and jumping, and running.
And you know what them people said? Said, "What's the matter with them men?" Why, they took them in there and beat them, and put them in prison. "Why," said, "they oughtn't to do this. It never come through the church." There you are.

66 Now, the fourth chapter, begin:
And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them.
Peter and them still speaking to the people. Oh, they was... Listen up here. Let me get just a verse or two behind this, the third chapter, kind of back it up a little here. Let's take the 20th verse.
And he shall send Jesus... (Peter preaching) ... he shall send Jesus which before was preached unto you.
Through the prophets and everything, see, told you ought to received it, but they didn't. He told them back there, said, "With wicked hands you've crucified the Prince of life." Told them. Said, "You did it through ignorance, 'cause God said you was going to do it."
Why couldn't those priests believe? Why couldn't the religious, holy men... Oh, I can't let this go by, Brother Neville. [Brother Neville says, "Amen. Go right ahead."] Look, religious, holy men, living in every bit of light they had, and everything else! Religious, holy men, and "They could not," the Bible said, "they could not believe on the Lord Jesus." Why? God predestinated it.
Isaiah spoke it, and said, "They have eyes..." Said, "They could not believe on the Lord," because Isaiah said, under inspiration. God dropped it down to him about eight hundred years before they come. Said, "They have eyes, and can't see; ears, they can't hear." And therefore they could not receive Jesus. No matter how much they wanted to believe, there was something that wouldn't let them, because God had said so.

67 Brother, you ought to be the happiest person in the world to know this morning that you're sitting here as a believer on the Lord Jesus. Yes, sir, brother! You don't realize, or a sinner doesn't know what it means, that when Almighty God knocks on his heart! Why, there is nothing like it, nowhere. You could search and comb the heavens, and you couldn't find anything equal to that, that how a holy, infinite God would come down and knock at the heart of a sinner's door and want to live buddies with him. Whew! It ought to make us break loose everywhere.
Watch here. He said, "It was before preached to you."

68 Now, listen. Even before the birth ... or, even before the antediluvian world, the antediluvian world, before it was destroyed with water, Jesus Christ was preached to the people. In the garden of Eden, Jesus Christ was preached to the people. Do you know that?
When Jesus died at the cross to fulfill... That was Jesus, not the Holy Spirit in Him, see. When He died at the cross and His soul, not God's Spirit, but His soul went to hell, 'cause He had to. The Bible said He would. But Jesus believed that He would raise up again in three days, 'cause He knowed three days corruption would set in.
And David said, "I will not leave My holy One see corruption, neither will I leave His soul in hell."
Jesus said, "You destroy this body, in three days it'll raise up again." Within three days! He wasn't there exactly, to the minute, three days. It was sometime within that three days, He would raise up again. For He knew His body would go to rottening (plain words); it would go to deteriorating, going away, after three days.
And He knowed that not one cell would corrupt, for He said, "I will not suffer My holy One to see corruption." Hallelujah! Jesus, with one single Scripture spoke by a backslidden preacher, under inspiration, believed it, and trusted His soul to go to hell. That's right. [Gap in the audio.]

69 And He went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah while the ark was being prepared.
They had Enoch and all the rest of them, and the pyramids and everything, as they erected them. And preached the Lord Jesus Christ to them, and they refused to accept it. Being heady, high minded, and refused to accept it!

70 And Jesus come to the gates of hell, and said, "I am He that the prophets said would be here." Hallelujah! "You see I'm here! God's Word is infallible. Thousands of years has passed by, four thousand years, but I'm here. My blood is on Calvary this morning." Sure. God's Word is real. Said, "Why didn't you repent?" They were lost and doomed.
So will it be when the coming of the Lord will come again. God's Word is infallible. What He said would take place will take place; there is nothing can stop it. No hindrance can stop it. No matter how times change, how people change, how preachers change, how churches change; God's Word will remain. Going to come. He will be here. He will come in His glory, with all of His Angels. That's right. God's Word said so.
And some day, every individual sitting in this room today will bear record, seeing Him coming in glory. He'll be coming to your joy or to your sorrow, one or the other. Right. He's got to come. God's Word is infallible.

71 Remember the Statue of Liberty up there, out in the arm that night. I guess I've told it here before. I seen those little old sparrows laying around there, around that big glass there, with their little old heads beat off. I said to the guide, I said, "What put them there?"
He said, "Well, they had a storm last night." And he said, "When the lights was on the Statue of Liberty, the little old birds caught out there in the storm and darkness. And instead of trying to use the light to fly to safety, they flew against it, trying to beat it out." Now, the very same light that caused them to die could cause them to live, if they had used it right. He said, "And they're laying there, because their brains is beat out. They was trying to beat that light out. Accepted light, and saying, 'thank you,' and letting it lead them; they tried to beat it out."
I said, "Praise God!

72 Infidels will rise, creeds will rise, people saying, "The Bible is not right. It's not inspired." They're only beating their brains out, when they could take it, and it could take them to glory. It's a light, a lamp to the path and to the people. And any man or woman who would accept God's Word and say, "I may not understand it, but, Lord, I'll walk in it to the light."
We'll walk in the light, that beautiful light,
It comes where the dewdrops of mercy are bright;
Shine all around us by day and by night.
Jesus, the light of the world.
Sure, we'll walk in the light. Not try to beat it out, not try to say, "This is not right. This is wrong. And that's not right. And that's not right."
O God, don't let me beat against Your light. Let me accept it in my heart, and say, "It's right, Lord. And I'll walk in the light."
Them birds could've took that light, and searched it right around, as it was moving down through there; and went right on into a nice cove under some house somewhere, in a shelter somewhere, and had been protected from the storm.

73 And of this great storm of formality, a great storm of indifference, a great storm of denial of God. "O God, don't let me try to beat the light out. Let me use it to walk in. I believe it, Lord." There you are. Walk in the light. "As I see it in the Scripture, that's light. It's God's Word, and let me walk in it. Lord, Lord, let me walk in it; never, never try to deny it."
And he shall send Jesus ... which was before preached unto you:
Whom the heavens must receive, until the time of restoration of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Twenty-first verse of the third chapter, "All the restorations of all things," when there'll be a new heavens, a new earth, a new government, a new economy, (oh, my!) a new king, a new life, a new beginning with no ending, (oh, my!) a new age, a new time, a new people.

74 Oh, I'm so glad I have the promise of God, so infallible, that He went to hell to witness to it. The same God promised me I'd be there with everlasting life, because I accepted His Son, Christ Jesus, and believe every word He said to be the truth. Just got to be there! Oh, my! What a wonderful thing!
How in love we should be with Him, that lovely, infallible, Holy One of God! How we should love Him, and let everything else be second! Everything, even your home, even your family, even everything, even all your people, everything else, is secondary. "He that will not forsake father, mother, sister, brother, husband, wife, children, or home, whatever it is, and follow after Me, is not worthy to be called Mine. And he that will put his hand to the plow and even turn to look back is not worthy of plowing."
Give me oil in my lamp, Lord. O God, just fill me over and over. Vaccinate me from the things of the world. May I be immune from all ungodly things, is what I want. Let Your Holy Spirit come to me, and make me immune from all the things of the world.

75 I want to see Jesus. I want to see Jesus. Don't you? That's right. Jesus, my Saviour, so true! But when I reach that strand on the far away Land arriving over there in a new Country, knowing nobody, then I want to see Jesus. I know I have a Friend there. Don't you? Then Jesus will show me mama, He'll show me my loved ones, and all my loved ones around me then. Hmm!
That's when "the restoration of all things." See, listen. Let me read that again, the 21st verse.
Whom the heavens must receive (that's, the heavens must receive Jesus, see.) until the time of restoration of all things (all things) which God hath spoken by the mouth of ... his holy prophets since the world began.

76 Oh, my! What an inspired man that was standing there! Yet, the Bible said, "He was ignorant and unlearned." He healed a man at the gate called Beautiful, through his faith in the name of Jesus Christ. Right.
And them religious teachers, doctors of divinity, high up-and-up's, and the greatest of church and everything, said, "Bind that man! Put him in jail! Why, that heresy; it's nonsense!"
But he knowed what he was talking about. They took knowledge to them, knowing they had been with Jesus.

77 O God, that's the education I want. If I can live close enough to God till others could see Christ in me, and Christ in you, that's all the education I care about. That's where I want to be.
I don't want them to say, "Well, now his grammar is so fine, and he's got such an education, and he knows theology." Oh, my! God, take that away. I ain't got it, and I'm glad of it.
Let me have Jesus, to where I can walk and people say, "That guy, I don't believe him, but he's sure been with Jesus." Isn't that what you want them to say about you? "That woman, that girl, that man, that woman has been with Jesus. Yes, sir. Well, watch their life. Look how they live and watch how they walk. Watch how God blesses them and honors them. And when they have their mistakes and things like that, it's just gone like that, and they move right on, like..." Oh, my, that's the way I want to be. Don't you?

78 Now, for ten minutes, let's read this, the rest of this chapter ... or, begin this chapter, rather, fourth chapter.
And as he spake unto the people, and the priests, and the Sadducees of the temple, and the Sadducees (rather) of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them.
Now, here is the Sadducees, which don't believe. A real picture of churches today that don't believe in the supernatural. They just couldn't believe it. Now, remember, remember, there is people today that don't believe in the Holy Spirit ruling and governing the church. They don't believe in miracles. They don't believe in signs. They don't believe in supernatural. They just can't believe it. Now, that spirit is not nothing new. Here it is right here on the Sadducees. They believed the same thing. See, spirits don't die. People die; spirits goes on.
God took His Spirit, took His man, Elijah, and a double portion of His Spirit come upon Elisha. Is that right? Then about eight hundred years later, come on John the Baptist. Is that right? And comes right on down to the last day again.
God took His Son, the Lord Jesus. You believe that? But His Spirit come back. Is that right? It was on Martin Luther. It was on John Wesley. It was on down through the ages, on Sankey, Moody, Finney, Knox, Calvin, all of them, see. Coming right on down, and is now going right on today. Look at their children back there; they just deny everything them people believed in---but not the founders.

79 When I stood not long ago by the side of that great founder standing there, I looked, I thought, O God, looky there, Dwight Moody. I thought, Look up here. And that man, the things that he believed in; the power of God, the supernatural. Uneducated! His books that you read, you see who wrote them. He wrote them himself, but who polished them up? His grammar was terrible. He had about a third-grade education, and an old shoe cobbler. But, brother, he sent a half a million souls to God, see. What was it? They'd turned him out of the church, and said he was a fanatic and everything else.
But he went out and seen a bunch of men... He had a message on his heart. He had to preach so much, he didn't know what to do. So he went and bought a shoe box from a man; big, old, wooden shoe box. Paid a dime for it. Set it out on the corner. And these men coming by. He stood there and preached right on the corner to them, like that. That's right. And I think of a church that he had, and look at the Moody Bible today.

80 And I thought, Look at John Wesley! When I stood right in the place where the man died. I had his robe that he had on last. They put it over my shoulders, just in respects of being there, when I prayed for the king---and put it on my shoulders. I stood in his pulpit, where he'd go every morning at five o'clock and preached to fifteen hundred people.
I sat in a chair, where he won a chicken fighter that ... a fellow used to fight ... have rooster fights. He won him to Christ. And had the leather over it, like this, and two big horns, and a place like this that set up on this side like here, where they'd take record of the fights. And after Wesley was converted ... or, Wesley converted this man to Christ, then he give him the chair. And I sat in the chair and prayed.
I sat in his saddle where---he was right here in America---had his little secret compartment in the back of it, when he would sit backwards on his horse, turned his stirrups around like this. And on his road coming here with Asbury and them, he would sit there and write out his messages and things, like that, as God would give it to him. As he couldn't even take time to stop anywhere, he rode on his horse, right here in America, sat in the saddle. And I thought, O God!
I stood there where that memorial was built to him. Where, one time, preaching divine healing, and the high church of England turned a fox loose, and of hounds up there, and run it through the midst when Wesley was preaching divine healing. And Wesley pointed his finger in his face, and said, "The sun will not set on your head three times, and you'll be calling for me to pray for you." And the man died that evening with cramps in his stomach calling for Wesley come pray for him.

81 That same man; you can sit in the church, and hear Dr. Church and them, the very doctrines of the same church that believed the same thing, denies the Bible being inspired. God have mercy. I don't want no organization.
But help me to live so that in my generation... I'll not stand in another generation. I'll have nothing to judge them. I'll not have to stand the judgment with them, but I'll have to stand the judgment with men and women who I've lived with. That's where it counts yonder in the resurrection, when my days are finished and I've done my best, if I be God's servant. God will raise Him up another man in that day when I'm gone. So there's no need of me setting something around my theology; is me to live in what light I have, and wait on God. For the next generation to come, He'll have a man there when that generation comes up. Amen. Oh, my!

82 Being grieved ... (Listen to these Sadducees.) Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection of the dead, the supernatural.
"Oh," they say, "that's... Oh, we believe in the resurrection of the dead. But now, divine healing and other things, that's out." Why, it's the same devil. It's the same thing, see.
Now, them days, they said, "Oh, we know He can heal. But He makes Himself God when He forgives sins." Now, that same devil just turned it right back around, and say, "Today He can forgive sins, but He can't heal."
If He is God, He can heal, save, forgive sins, or anything. He remains God, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Look.
And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; ... JOHN6:44

83 Why? Why did some of them believe, and some didn't? Oh, brother, some was ordained to everlasting life, and some was ordained to everlasting condemnation. That's why. That's exactly. Jesus said, "No man can come, except first My Father shows him."
How could a fish bite on the bait of a turtle, see? Can't do it. The appetite of a fish is different from the appetite of a water spider. A snake and the fish don't have the same diet. See what I mean? Yes, sir. The fish is always one thing, for he was born a fish. He will forever be a fish. And this man might interpret... This turtle might want to be a fish. Turtle has got fish meat in him, but he ain't a fish. He's got other meat in him, too. He'll never be a fish. No, sir. Neither will the fish ever be a turtle. For he started a turtle, he'll remain a turtle. And he started a fish, he'll remain a fish.
And every man or woman (hallelujah!) that's ever born thoroughly of the Spirit of God... You may backslide. Yes, sir. When you go back out, you'll be the most miserable person that you ever dreamed of in your life till you return. And if you fail to do it, God will take your life off the earth. God promised to do it.

84 Here not long ago, I walked into Vorgang's Garage down here, and I was talking to a fine preacher which is my neighbor here. And I have always had the greatest respects for the man. He was a good man, a fine preacher. Walked out on these streets during the time of the depression selling Rawleigh products to preach the Gospel. Yes, sir.
Some man made fun of him, right here on Seventh Street, said, "Why don't you do so-and-so?"
He said, "Sir, this is a legitimate living." He said, "I'm selling here some products, with such stuff as cake flour, ever-what it is, to do the best I can, for I'm a minister of the Gospel." Right here at the Church of God; it was Brother Ramsey. And he said, "I do the best that I can." And so he told the man. He was really born of the Spirit of God.

85 I walked into Osborne's Garage down here, one day. I said, "God bless you, Brother Ramsey." He was a poor man. I said, "Look over my old car here; got to take a trip." I said, "Just had a wonderful time." I said, "I wish you was with me, Brother Ramsey."
Said, "Well, I guess, it'd been all right, Billy."
I looked around at him. I thought, That don't sound right. You know, you can tell when something is happening. I looked over at him.
He said, "Brother Branham, I guess you know I don't serve the Lord no more."
And I said, "What?" I said, "Now, you're joking me."
He said, "No, I don't serve Him no more."
Well, I thought he still, he was kidding me. I just went on out. I went home. I told Meda about it. I said, "Brother Ramsey told me he didn't serve the Lord no more. There is something about that, Meda, that's not just exactly right."
It got on my nerves. I went back down again. I said, "Brother Ramsey, come here, I want to talk to you a minute."
He said, "All right, Billy."
I walked over. I said, "Brother Ramsey, I was in here a couple days ago, and you told me you didn't serve the Lord anymore." I said, "You was teasing me, wasn't you?"
He said, "No, no."
I said, "Brother Ramsey, you mean you don't serve the Lord no more?"
Said, "No." He said, "I backslid."
I said, "Well, Brother Ramsey, you better get back to God." I said, "Come, go with me in the meeting."
Said, "No, Billy." Said, "I just don't care to serve Him anymore." Said, "I just..."
I said, "You believe Him?"
He said, "Oh, I believe Him, but I just don't serve Him. I quit." Said, "There's been so many things."
I said, "Brother Ramsey, don't look at things. Look at Him."
And he said, "Well, Brother Branham," he said, "I just don't serve the Lord, and I'd rather not talk about it."
I said, "Well, brother, God be with you, help you."
And a few days after that, he took sick.
Another minister... I won't call his name, 'cause I'm not sure. I believe he's sitting in the back right now. This minister went to him, a buddy. Said, "Brother Ramsey, don't you want to come, serve the Lord?"
He said, "No." God giving him, through His messengers, both times, warnings. He said, "No." In a few hours from then he picked him up in his arms, and he went home. God took him off the earth. Yes, sir.

86 Remember Paul, what he told them over there, this man that wouldn't obey the Gospel? He said, "Turn him over to the devil for the destruction of his flesh, that his soul will be saved." That's right. You can't play with God. Brother, that Word is inspired, every word of it lays right straight to the hewing line. That's right. You'll either toe the line... But if you're ever born of the Spirit of God, you are a son of God.

87 Now, you come in. The dove and the crow, both, was in the ark. That's right.
When they turned the old crow loose... Let's type that as backsliding. The old crow flew from dead body to dead body, and he picked on the old dead carcasses. He was all right. Didn't make any difference to him, 'cause he was a crow to begin with. His nature, his appetite, his gastronomics could digest such a thing. Why? He was born with that kind of a gastronomic. See, his gall and stuff in him would make that old dead bodies, and make food for him. He was satisfied.
And so is every man, I don't care how long you've been at church, and turn you loose to the world; if you still can go out and do the things you once did and enjoy it, it shows you've never come to God.
But when he turned the dove loose to see what she would do. A dove hasn't got any gall. It can't digest those things. If it would eat them it would kill them. But the dove, she'd try to fly down; "whew," she couldn't fit it. She'd try to fly down; "whew," she couldn't stand it. She lit in a little bush to get some rest. And she had an olive leaf in her hand; she come back and knocked at the door. "Father Noah, open up and let me in. I can't stand it out here."

88 Every man or woman that's born of the Spirit of God, sure, you can backslide. But, brother, if you're a child of God, you can't stand the things of the world no more, 'cause your digesting things has been changed.
Peter said, "Lord, where would we go to?"
When He said, "Do you want to go also?" When the rest of them turned away.
Said, "Where would we go to? What could we do? You're the only One that has eternal life. Then where can we go?"
Here he is, standing here in His power, anointed with the Holy Ghost, an apostle and prophet now. Hallelujah! Oh, how I like to see it! "Howbeit some of them believed," because they had it. They're ordained to everlasting life, when this preacher preached.

89 What did he do, Brother Neville? Right amongst those bunch of howling hypocrites, right amongst that bunch of wolves that would have pulled him, piece by piece because of religious traditions! Peter cast his net out in here, said, "There might be some fish in there." That's right. When he throwed his net out there, he begin to pull it. He said, "The God of our fathers, who went with Abraham from Ur down into Chaldea (yes, sir!) has sent His Son, Lord Jesus, who the Heavens was received unto the restoration of all things." Said how they... Said, "You took the Prince of Peace with cruel hands and murdered and crucified." Said, "By faith in His name this man is healed." That's why I believe in the supernatural.
He throwed his net out there and he pulled it. And when he did, howbeit some of them in there was fish. The rest, the turtles, went on off with the snakes and so forth. They bounced on back. But there was some fish in there too. "Howbeit many believed the Word." They was ordained to everlasting life. Yes, sir. Believed!
... and the number of men was about five thousand.
What a net-full he got! Yes sir. Maybe out of a million, but he got five thousand out of it. Notice, he doesn't care what kind of a looking pool it was. He throwed his net right on in it. That's right.

90 And we don't care whether it's bootleggers, whether it's prostitutes, whatever it is. Throw the net! You don't know who's down in there. You don't know. You can't judge. No man can judge. But you can throw the net, and pull them to the altar and say, "Here it is, Lord. I've done my part now." And if she is a fish to begin with, she will be a fish forever. Yes, sir. If it's a spider to begin with, it'll be a spider forever. If the reincarnated Son of the living God brings His power down and captures that person to the altar, the Gospel net is around. Watch.
And it came to pass on the morning, that the rulers, and the elders, and the scribes,
And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and ... many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked them, By what power, or by what name, have you done this?
"Are you a Baptist? Are you a Presbyterian? By what power, what church you with? What's your authority? What seminary did you come out of? Who are you, anyhow? Show me your credentials. Let's see who you are." Same thing. "By what authority have you been out here preaching like that? Are you here in the name of the Sanhedrin? Are you here in the name of the Sadducees, or the Pharisees, or the Herodians, or the Publicans? Or, who are you?" There you are. "Have you done this?"
"And Peter, just fresh from the seminary?" Eighth verse. "Peter, with his Bachelor's degree, with his Doctor's degree?" No. The Bible don't read it that way. Here is what happened to Peter:
... Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost...
Oh, he had growed out. Not just a little bitty place like that; he had growed all the way out. Filled! Anything that's filled is all the way full. Peter, not sprinkled with the Holy Ghost, but "Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost."

91 Now, let's see what you're going to say to them. Now, be careful what you say, 'cause they can sling you in jail, boy. You're a religious maniac now, that they think. Now, let's see. You're proselyting, you're doing everything, so be very careful what you say.
But Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
If we this day be examined of the good deed done unto the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
Be it known unto you all, and to the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised up from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.

92 Whew! Could you imagine a man trying to put some kind of a dictionary theology on the man like that? Brother, he stood, anointed and filled with the Holy Ghost. He said, "Why, you rulers, the very power of God that you profess to be, that same God raised His Son Christ Jesus to show the supernatural. And you with wicked hands have crucified Him."
You don't have to nail Him to the cross. Just deny Him, you crucify Him again. They're doing the same thing today. You crucify Him!
Said, "Be it known to you." In other words, "The same God that you've professed to represent has raised this boy up." There they are. Said, "It's by Him this man is living. If we be examined for what we done to that man," said, "be it known unto you it wasn't us. But it's through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that this man stands whole, today."
Now, let me tell you what else he said here. "This is the stone..." Oh, oh, brother, is he going to rub it in now!
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (Listen.)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby you must be saved.

93 Brother, I just kind of like Peter's preaching right there. What did he say to them, in so many words? "Don't you know the prophet Isaiah and many of the others spoke that the builders would reject the Cornerstone?" In other words, "This is the very thing ... you rejecting is the very thing that God said you would do. Don't you know you're a part of it?" And may I say with reverence, and may I say with respect, may I say with godly love, this very day, my dear brother and sister. The very thing that the Bible said that these men would do in the last days, "Have a form of godliness, but would deny the power thereof," there they are. The Cornerstone rejected. Oh, my! Sure, I believe in the supernatural.
He said, "Neither is there salvation under any other name."
May I, instead of him this morning, standing and quote to this generation, "For except a man be born again, he can't understand these things, the kingdom of God," as He said to Nicodemus of old.
You can't understand it; you'll never understand it, until God comes into your heart. And you'll be a part of Him then; you'll say, "Yes, Lord, every bit of the Word is inspired. I believe every bit of it. I believe it's the truth. And here I am, Lord, to walk in the light." As long as you're borderline out there, you can't believe it. You can't do it. May the Lord help you this morning to see the supernatural.

94 May you realize this, that Hebrews 13:8, said, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Remember, His promises is just as good today as they was then; every precept, every word of God is just as binding.
And I don't care, brother, how many people criticize it, how many says it's not.
I could, today, by God's mercy, produce ten thousand people, standing here, that was once dying with cancer, that was once blind, that was once crippled, that was once this way; in the last few years has been made well, by the power of the living God. And this is the very thing that Jesus Christ said would come to pass in the last days.
And as sure as Jesus said these healings would take place, He said there would be critics on the outside, making fun of it, and everything else. Both of them was ordained to everlasting life, or everlasting condemnation.
I'm so happy, today, to know that God is in our midst, and the shout of the King is here, the praises of God.

95 There is many times I've failed to pray the prayer of faith. There is many times I've tried hard and failed to do it, because my faith would not meet it. That doesn't change the Word of God one bit. If I prayed for ten thousand people today, and ten thousand died in the morning, tomorrow night I'd be here praying for the sick just the same, because God's Word said so. That's right.
I believe in the old-time religion,
I believe in the joy I do know;
I believe that the path which we're walking,
Is the path which our fathers have trod.
Oh, give me this old-time religion,
Oh, give me the joy I can know;
For I believe in a heartfelt religion,
Like our fathers received long ago.

96 Amen, brother. Let me die in the harness. Let me go as God's servant. Live or die, I believe the infallible Word of God is the truth. And it teaches divine healing, and signs, and wonders, and miracles to appear in this last days. And can prove it by the Word of God, and can show it unto the world where it has taken effect. And if it will take effect out there, why won't it take effect for you? Jesus said, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible."
Shall we pray.

97 Father God, we come to Thee in the light of Thy Word and in the power of the Holy Spirit, which has endued us, Lord, endowed us from on High, to be Your servants. And we love You. And we know that Thou dost love us because You have chosen us. You said through Your Son, Jesus, "You haven't chosen Me, but I chose you. No man comes to God, except through Christ. And no man can come to Christ, except God draws him first."
So, Father, to Thee we give praise. To Thee I humble my heart, Lord. O Christ of God, take away all out of my heart that's not what You'd want it to be, Lord. And let it just be for You and for Your glory. I love Thee, my Lord.
And I pray that You will bless these, Thy people here this morning, every one of them. Many of them here that's sick, Lord. They got sick people. They are asking requests. Father, oh, for these years, since I've knowed You, I believed You as a great healer. Thou hast proved it around and around the world, Lord, that You are the Lord Jesus resurrected from the dead. Now, I pray, Father, that You will bless these people here this morning.
If there be one unsaved here, may they now believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter if I'd bring him up here at the altar, if they are not ordained to everlasting life, it would only just throw a net, that's all. But, Father, as Peter preached the Word, and said, "As many as believed was added to the church." Father, I pray that today You will add numbers to Your church. Grant it. May many people believe this and see that it's the truth. They're here this morning for some purpose. And I pray that You have ordained them to everlasting life. And may they receive it today, through Jesus.
And I pray for the sick, as I bring them around the altar now, to pray for them, to anoint them, Your elder and I. I pray, God, that You will give us grace in Your sight. Let, on our part, that there will be an unfailing faith.
God's Word, who, even after thousands of years, and those that have been dead for four thousand years, Jesus went to tell them that the Word of God was confirmed in the earth. How infallible it is!
And Thou hast said, "Lay hands on the sick; they shall recover." The last commission, the last words that fell from Your sacred lips, the inspired Word of God. You said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. They'll lay hands on the sick; they shall recover."
And Father, as they bring the sick here in person this morning to be prayed for, I pray, as we lay our hands upon them, anointing them with oil according to Thy Word, that every one of them will be healed. Grant that our faith will be right, and their faith will be right. It's anchored exactly on the Word that's been preached this morning, the Word of the Living God. And get glory to Thyself. For we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

98 I'm sorry I kept you late. Now, the little children has a Sunday school treat here, just in a minute. They got, oh, boxes of candy, and oranges, and a sack full of stuff over here for the little ones as soon as we get done with the sacred part of the service just in a minute.

99 ... there is something, and I believe it's this baby. So then, if you bow your heads.
Almighty God, I do not know. Thou knowest that it's all something, to me I can't understand. I don't know. But, Father, it seemingly, that after this message, and this baby coming here, and me looking into its face; and according to what's been told me somewhere, and a witness of Sister Cox, and the Holy Spirit here at the altar. I do not know; no more than I knowed the day that I walked to that old colored man that was blind. Neither can I understand now, Lord; no more than the boy in Finland that was raised from the dead. Neither do I understand the case of this; how would You put it upon a doctor's heart to send over here. Your Spirit moving!
Now, Father, in obedience to what You have commissioned to be done, and according to the Word that I have preached so hard this morning, as a believer in it, I go forward to challenge the devil that's bound this baby. I lay my hands upon its head, and up over its little eyes; raise my hand to God who I believe in, that has spoken and it cannot fail. I ask that the cancer in this baby's eyes come out.
And go into outer darkness, where you belong, you dark evil one, in the name of Jesus Christ the Son of God, whom I'm representing.
And may this baby's eyes become normal. May the mother return, giving praise and glory to God, for the healing of this baby. This I do in true faith to God, believing His Word taught it. And believing that a vision has struck me, His servant, standing in this same place. And Lord, You know what You're putting in my heart right now. And I ask for Your words to be fulfilled, and this baby's life to be spared, and it to live and be healthy and strong, and can see again, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

100 Sister, dear, not knowing what the future holds, but believing. Here, it comes to me. Here it is. It was to be something... Right here is where my wife's casket laid, Hope. And it was this morning. And it was Hope that raised and said she would not die. And the thing, I believe, was meaning to this baby now. She is laying exactly at the same place. And I can almost positive say it's "Thus saith the Lord."
Lady, I don't know you, but I believe that baby will rise and live, and be normal. God bless you. You let me hear from your baby.
Your name is? [The mother says "Mrs. Bowen," and begins telling the background of her baby's condition.] Yes, you failed God, yourself.
[The mother continues speaking.] That's my theme song, too, "All things are possible, only believe."

Now, you promise God, while you're standing on the same place. God let your baby get well, you will serve Him as long as you live, and be a renown Christian and serve Him. You and your husband too?
Will you promise it, back there, dad, also? If God let's your baby live, you promise you'll serve Him? His hand is up to God. You'll do the same.
