1 Thank our Brother Baxter. Yes, sir. Good afternoon, friends. Very happy to be here to hear these stirring talks of these men: Mr. Jackson from South Africa. Just as I stepped behind the curtain there, just as I come in, I was--wanted to hear it. I was a, I guess a little too late for the dedication of the baby, but I was... Brother Baxter's give me some notes on people to be prayed for.
We want to thank our Lord for what He did last night. He was marvelous, and I just believe it'll be the--really, the exceedingly abundantly.
And I was glad to get to meet Brother Bosworth again. You know, we was talking about him last night, he and his son and them. And Brother Bosworth is feeling very much led that he's to go on ahead of us to South Africa. He wants to go down right away with a--to make arrangements down there and have some services down around Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Grahamstown, Kler--Klerksdorp or--I guess I pronounced that right: Klarksdoff, and Bloemfontein, and through that part of the country there. And just before we come down... We're... According to the vision that the Lord has given me in--to return to Durban, and then from there to Bombay or somewhere up in India. And you just remember what I have told you last evening about the vision that the Lord gave, and see if it isn't just exactly that way.

2 Now, your contribution this afternoon, thank you so much for it, the Lord bless you. Brother Baxter did a very nice job of doing that, which he knows how to do it. We don't beg for money. Never... I wouldn't have a manager that would beg for money. When come time that our meetings won't pay out, it's time for me to go home. And we don't believe in that. And we've been amended by many of the brethren throughout, and in magazines, and so forth, of keeping the financial part down, saying nothing about it. We have to have finances to run the meetings, but there's none of it personally--just for our meetings. And we... And if I... Many and a many times have I dumped the love offering they give me in it. All that isn't just exactly what I have to eat... And people give me my clothes. And what I don't have to have, that goes right straight to foreign missions. And I know this: to be a steward over His welfare, if it goes to foreign missions, and I go myself to take the message that the Lord has give me, then at that day I'll know I've done the right thing with God's portion. And you...

3 Sometimes we go into a city, and we'd give it over to different organizations, and so forth. And we wouldn't get out of the city till they'd be calling us "holy-rollers, divine healers." And I give it to a certain organization one time, and I looked, going down the street in a great big Cadillac car, and a man with a big cigar and diamond rings, drawing about six--seven hundred dollars a month, just going around to distribute the money that... Well, that wasn't right. Poor little children, starving and hungry... And I know one thing, as Brother Jackson was saying them little natives back there, and so forth, never heard the Gospel, don't know nothing about Jesus... No. It's in my heart to take the Gospel to them. And the general orders was, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." And that's what this contribution, and everything that I... Every penny that I don't have to use just to keep my meetings a going, that goes right in till we get enough fund to go. And then away we go: Sweden, or wherever the Lord would lead.

4 Now, we're waiting now for South Africa and India. And on that great day, that when our Lord shall come and the dead in Christ shall rise, this mortal shall put on immortality, and we stand before Him to crown Him King of king and Lord of lords, I trust that every man and woman this afternoon, that even put a penny into that offering, that it'll be multiplied thousands of times for you in this life, and eternal life in the world to come. May God give it to you is my prayer. And with a... As a steward of His welfare, of His finance, I do the very best that I know how to keep it reverent and before God and to...
Soon as we get just enough... We don't get too much, because we... It's a great strain, that you realize how we have to hold the meetings. But we just go down, take the offering. Whatever we take, that's just all right. You see?

5 Now, Brother Bosworth, I said, is supposed to go ahead. He feels led of the Lord to go ahead of us down there to get some of those smaller towns, where we're coming back up into the other place, up into Durban. Pray for Brother Bosworth as he goes.
And I don't know just when He'll be sending me, but I know I am to go. You remember I told you the vision last night. I will have to go there, for the Lord is sending. And I'll do the very best I can to preach the Gospel. And I know Brother Bosworth is a very, very good teacher and will be quite able to do whatever he wants--or God wants him to do.
You know, it's strange, as I see him standing right here trying to speak to you, the Angel of the Lord is near, and I just seen a woman healed with stomach trouble, just right now, setting here in the meeting. That's right. That right? You had it, didn't you? Is that right? Raise up your hand. That's right. You're healed of it now. You just been healed while you were setting there.
Oh, there's many times, if I just speak what He shows, but I just seen that poor woman setting there. And I just looked around and she was so interested. When I said something about I was to being very reverent with the money to take it over there, she nodded her head some... She might know somehow. I don't know. And she was very sincere. I looked around and I seen a table move before her and seen her moving back like that. I knew it was stomach trouble. I looked back again, and I seen her eating then. I knowed she was healed and might as well tell her. That's right. So...

6 Here's a dear person that's just been... The brother has been in an airplane crash and has been killed; it's Ben and Florence Smith. And here's another in here: "Special prayer, Brother Branham, for a man who's in the hospital and [unclear words] that's only forty-two..." All right. Let's bow our heads and pray for these while He's here now.
Heavenly Father, I pray that--as You look down here on this desk this afternoon and You see these people, oh, I think of that bereaved home of that man being killed in that crash. God, all things work together for good to them that love You. Trusting that his soul was right with You, and today he wouldn't return if he had to. If he was asked to, he'd take his choice; he'd stay where he's at. I pray that he was saved, Lord, that You'll comfort all his loved ones, and let them know this, that he said, "I would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning those that are asleep, for we believe that Christ died and rose again the third day, even so, them that sleep in Christ shall God bring with Him." We believe that, Lord. He said, "Wherefore, comfort one another with these words." And we believe it's the truth.
And if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting to move into: one, not made with hands; but God Himself has made us a body, that when these spirits shall be set free from this one, we go to that glorious body. Realizing that one day that the blood of bulls and ox and sheep covered sin, but the blood of Jesus takes it away, and we go right straight to the presence of God. How we thank Thee for this. Oh, no wonder we can stand fearless, Lord, because that we have the vision. We have the assurance of the Holy Spirit, and He's here to vindicate and to prove God's power to us, that He loves us and is with us in these dark hours of the closing of the world's history.
This other man here, Lord, in the hospital, I pray that You'll heal him. May Your Spirit be upon him and deliver him this afternoon. And may his testimony cause others in that hospital just get up and walk out and be made well. Grant it, Father.
May there be an old-fashioned meeting, somehow, some way, Lord. Break through here in America and do great things before our Lord comes. For we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

7 How many is going to pray for Brother Bosworth as he goes on down? Let's see your hand. All right, Dr. Bosworth, see--I believe you're seated in the balcony. The Lord be with you. And these people will be praying for you and so will I. And then, will you be praying for us as we go down later on wherever the Lord will lead?
Now, when... Sometimes when you're debate here and witch doctors and everything else standing near, and skeptics and unbelievers and everything trying, first thing falls on my mind is, "My loved ones in America is praying." Somebody's bound to be praying, because we got literally hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people that pledged they would pray. And that many people, there's prayer going before God constantly for me (See what I mean?), constantly moving all the time. So that's the way...

8 The Angel of the Lord told me to go, and so that just makes it fearless to me. See, I know He's here. Now, you people setting here this afternoon, just... I don't know whether I'm going to speak or not. I... The Angel of the Lord's moving down this aisle again, there's... You believe I'm a fanatic? No, sir, I'm not. I'm telling you the truth. And your prayer cards that the boy gives out, that has nothing to do with your healing. This woman probably never seen a prayer card, knows nothing about anything about that, or any of the rest of you out in the audiences there that's been healed and knows that you don't have to have that. The only thing you have to have, is to believe what I'm telling you is the truth; and that is, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that He rose from the dead, living among us today, just like He did those disciples down at Emmaus. He's living here. He does things. Now, those disciples had walked with Him all day and didn't recognize Him. But just the way He done something, they recognized that It was Him. Is that right?

Luke 24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

Luke 24:14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

Luke 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

Luke 24:16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

9 Now, you went to Sunday School this morning. You might've sang your songs, and studied your lesson, and so forth, and come back like all normal Christians do. But just looky here what He done just this afternoon, setting right here. Don't you realize that He's here? It's Him and He's here to make good anything that He has promised in His blessing.
Now, in the... I don't have time to preach. You realize that. I've just go thirty minutes. I want to use it for a testimony just to bring it right to a point for something, in a little text like, and try to watch my clock back there to be out at four-thirty, so you have time to get back here at seven-thirty for the services.
Now, tonight's the closing service. How many's going to be praying for great things tonight? That's wonderful. I try to get back around... I believe the boy told me that he'd be giving out the prayer cards around six thirty, or something like that. And come in; bring your sick and afflicted, and lay them up here close. And be praying for them. Don't worry about the prayer card; just be praying. And then God will do the rest of it when you just... Just be praying.

10 All right. In the second chapter of Saint Luke, a very familiar Scripture concerning the birth of our Lord, I want to read it just--not to follow up this missionary talk. Certainly not. But to, just to get a point that I believe that'll help you tonight. I... How many of you here is Christians, raise your hand? Oh, it looks like a whole hundred percent. That's wonderful.
Something happened in this meeting that's never happened before in my--any of my meetings. Right while the Angel of the Lord was a dealing with the people, He stopped and said, "Make an altar call." And I heard Brother Baxter, my brother who's a genius at that, give an altar call the night before--or I believe, maybe the same night. I don't know when it was. But I just walked in, and Billy had come out and met me and took me around to the room. And when I heard him make an altar call, and I walked out and about five people stood to accept Christ, and then right in the time, at that time where the Lord was moving out over the audience, then He stopped me and said, "Make an altar call." And thirty-some-odd came. See?
See, obedience, do what He tells you to do. No matter what it looks like, do what He says do and God will take care of the rest of it. Don't you think? Oh, if the church could only get to a place where we just forget about the routine, or whatever it is; just lose sense of time or anything else and just stay with God: do what He says do. Don't you believe the church needs a spiritual leading like that?
We've got our programs all drawed out, and lined out, and so forth. I don't believe it was ever intended for the apostolic church of God to be led by a program. I believe it's God's program to lead us by His Holy Spirit, just the way He will.

11 Now, in the 23rd verse of the second chapter let's read. I believe that I have that right. Just a moment. No, it's the 25th verse of the second chapter.
...behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; ... the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed to him by the Holy Ghost, ... (Not the association; the Holy Ghost) ... that he should not see death, before he'd seen the Lord's Christ.
And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought ... the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Now, Lord, now lettest ... thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
For my eyes have seen thy salvation,
May the Lord add His blessings to this Word now, while... If you'll give me your undivided attention for about thirty minutes, by the clock back there, I'll try to have prayer and be dismissed. But I wished you would listen close now. I want to testify.

Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

12 Now, I want to testify by a text. I'm going to take the text and call it this: Expectancy: To Be Expecting Something.
Did you ever expect something? Usually, you get just what you expect. Did you know that? If you come to the meeting and would say, "Well, I'm going down there. There's nothing to it." Well, that's just what you'll get out of it. If you'd get down there and say, "Well, I--I'll go down there; but there's no need of me going because I--I ain't going to get healed," well, that's just the way you'll go back. But if you come expecting God to do something for you, He'll do it. If you expect to find something to criticize the meeting, criticize the way it's conducted, Satan will show you plenty of it. You'll find plenty. But if you come, not to criticize the meeting, you've come, saying, "God, I want to see where You are in it," God will show you Himself in it. Just whatever you expect, God will give it to you. It's your expectancy.
Now, I want you to come tonight expecting to see God move in the greatest way He's moved since we been here. Let's ask God not to leave one crippled person, one blind person, one deaf, one dumb; not one sick person, or crippled person in our midst tonight. Let's believe in it. Will you do it with me? And I believe God will do it, if we'll be expecting that now, for everybody to be healed.

13 Usually, as we're talking of expectancy, why, we think whatever we expect to do, that's what it'll be. And now, if I'm expecting to--I got an engagement or an appointment to meet you, I expect you to be there. And I know one thing; that we, every one today, got an appointment that we're going to meet God somewhere, sometime or other. Do you know that? "It was once appointed to man to die and after that the judgment." And we're all going to meet that. Some men's sins go before them, if you confess them here. Some follow after. So let's meet God now. Let's get the thing right and then be expecting Him when He comes in His glory and power, for Him to say, "It was well done, My good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of the Lord."

Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

14 Many things that I've noticed along the journey... I remember one thing, especially, when I was having a meeting. I'd just started off in my services. And I never will forget... My wife's not here this afternoon, so I can tell this all right. And we went down... I went to St. Louis first, where little Betty Daugherty was healed, where all the doctors of St. Louis had give her up. And I went there and prayed. And Mr. Daugherty, a very well known minister in the city, had just been revealed to me about two weeks before that. I didn't have money to go over on the train, and my congregation took up eleven dollars to buy my ticket over there and back. And I didn't have a coat, so one of my brothers let me have his coat to wear. And I went over on a chair car and got there the next morning. Mr. Daugherty standing out there, he was--he was expecting something. He said, "Brother Branham, I have heard that the Lord Jesus has visit you to show visions."
And I said, "That is right."
Said, "Do you know anything about my daughter?"
I said, "No, sir, I do not." We went up to their house and the little thing laying there screaming and going on. She weighed a... Just a little curly-headed girl, just in a terrible condition... And I said, "What does the doctor say?"
Said, "Oh, Brother Branham, I've spent money after money and none of them even can tell what it is." Said, "They think it's Saint Vitus' dance but they're not too sure." And said, "She's laid like this for weeks, and the churches has fasted and prayed, and we don't know what to do. And someone told me about..." How, I don't know who...

15 And so, I went in and prayed for the little girl. All groups of people were in praying. We went down through the--from the parsonage to the church and prayed down there. And I went back. Nothing had happened. In them days, I didn't have meetings like this, of course. When I went to one case, I stayed there with that case till I found out what God was going to do about it. So then...
And I went on out in the yard and I walked up and down. I didn't know too much about St. Louis. I walked down the street a little ways and back. Hours passed, and I'd been there about eight hours then, and I was setting in Mr. Daugherty's car, and right out across the car a vision begin to move. Then I knew what would take place.

16 Then Mr. Daugherty, the old father of Reverend Daugherty, come to the door, and he said, "Brother Branham, have you heard anything yet?" And young Mr. Daugherty was coming around the house.
I said, "Yes, I have 'Thus saith the Lord.'" He begin screaming and throwing up his hands. And I said... He was somewhere from... Their home was--had been up in Kentucky, but they'd moved up into St. Louis where he was sent by his church, I think, to take a charge there. And then I said, "I have 'Thus saith the Holy Spirit.'"
He said, "What must I do?"
I said, "Now, first go in and take everybody out of the house but your wife--all the people."
He said, "All right."
I said, "Don't doubt nothing now." And we went in, and we walked into the room, and there was the little girl lying there. I said to mother; I said, "Now, don't doubt anything. You go to your kitchen." I never seen where her kitchen was; it was a large house. And I said, "Down in the bottom of a drawer you'll find a little pan, like that, that you just bought about two days ago: blue granite. It's never had nothing in it."
She said, "Yes, sir, that's right."
I said, "Fill that about half full of clear water right out of the faucet and bring me a white handkerchief."
And she said, "All right."
She went and got it, and I said, "Now, Reverend Daugherty, you kneel down here on my right hand side at the foot of the bed, and father--the father, I said, "You, kneel down here," (the father of the Reverend Daugherty, the grandfather of the child); He did.
I said, "Now, Mrs. Daugherty, while I am repeating the Lord's Prayer, when I say, 'Our Father Who art in heaven,' you take that rag out of the pan, squeeze it out, and wipe it over her face. And then, about middle of the prayer, you wipe it across her hands. And then, at the end of the prayer, you wipe it across her feet, for 'Thus saith the Lord,' the devil that's got that child bound will leave when the last water's put on her feet." I said, "Don't doubt." And she... Why, her little tongue was all eat up and her lips and everything, her eyes sunk back... Weeks and weeks, and I think she'd been bedfast...

17 If you want to write to him, that's Reverend Robert Daugherty, 2002 Gano Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, if you want his [unclear words] you want his address to write. And so it was a, he went the... The little thing been there, I think, three months like that. Nothing could stop it; just screaming and clawing its little hair like that, and the streaks on its face and screaming; its mother all worn out.
So we knelt down. I said, "Our Father who art in heaven..." Mrs. Daugherty rubbed the little rag across her face. On down when I said--at the end of the prayer, to "Amen," when I said, "Amen," the little child was still screaming. Then I raised up, and I said, "Lord God, who created heavens and earth, who hath sent to pray for this child, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I ask the spirit of sickness that's on the child to leave." The little girl looked around, said, "Mommy, where are you?" And her mother begin screaming, dropped the pan, fell back in the floor like that. The father begin screaming and laid down in the floor. You'd have though he was a holy roller then (Uh-huh.), so then, the way he was carrying on. And that old dad, the grandfather, fell across the bed and begin to praising God. All formality had left then.
The little girl got up. I took her by the hand. I said, "Honey, what would you like to have?"
She said, "Who are you?"
I said, "I'm Brother Branham."
And she said, "I would like to have a--one of these milk shakes, you know."
I said, "Let's go get it." I just passed a drug store. With her little pajamas on, for the first time out of bed for three months, walked to the drug store and ordered two milk shakes and drank it with the child. And the doors were packed and jammed and the lawn around there. We had a meeting in St. Louis, over at the Kiel Auditorium, and the first night there, fourteen thousand people packed the thing out, and they had to turn them away: Expectancy. See what I mean?

18 On down into Jonesboro, Arkansas... How many knows Richard T. Reed, at Jonesboro? Somebody in here. Somebody's got their hands up. Brother Reed... That fellow there, back over in here... Very fine man. Was you at the Jonesboro meeting when I was there? All right, here's a confirmation. Good.
We had several days of meetings. My wife had never seen one of the meetings like that: just my first going out. And the people had packed in there till they--I believe "The Sun" paper, "The Arkansas Sun," said there was twenty-eight thousand people that had entered the city. And if the paper said there's twenty-eight thousand, they were every one there. And so, they was just packed out into, for, as much as thirty and forty miles around the city. You couldn't even find a farmhouse that had a room to rent. And they'd had a places set up and food concessions, and the people in the literal building, the auditorium wouldn't even get out; they'd stay there, and they'd bring in, their loved ones, hamburgers. That's where I stayed for days and days and days trying to pray for all of them.

19 And I remember the night, my wife came down. We was two city blocks away. The police was out there, just the streets was standing full. Not the auditorium, and the yards, and the fields, and the streets--everywhere, just standing, blocked with people, see if they could hear something going on. And when I got down there, four ushers was standing to get me down through the crowd. I never did know what become of my wife from there, how she got through there, how she got back. And we got to the place. And just as I got up to the place where the auditorium was, well, I come in on the platform.
And just as I come to the platform, I looked. A place had been roped off like that with nothing but just ambulance stretchers. Two nurses was standing here and a little girl dying with TB, about fifteen years old. She kept looking up at me. I knew that she was going get healed. I could tell the way, just the same as I knew that lady was going to be healed just then. Now, I knew she was going to be healed. And I kept watching her.
Just a few moments, I kept seeing somebody motioning like that, with a blue suit on, standing back that way. And it looked like a cab driver. I said, "Are you calling me, sir?"
He said, "Yes, sir." He said, "Brother Branham..." They had about fifteen ambulances backed up out there, the ambulance row. He said, "I have come down..."

20 There'd been a man healed that day from Kennett--Clement, Missouri, I believe it was--up that boot-heel part of Missouri. The man had been totally blind for ten years, drawing a blind pension. And that night he was healed there at the meeting, and went back. Why, the next morning he got in home about daylight. He had his blind cane, his hat on the cane like that. He comes walking down through Methodist church a screaming and praising God (They throwed him out.), carrying on. He went over, run up into the Catholic church and turned him out. Why, he was about, set the city wild, everything.
And they took him out there and had him on the radio. He come through that little station down there, over from Jonesboro, I think, and... Oh, Bly--Blytheville, Blytheville station. You, I guess you, back there from Arkansas, know where that's at, the Blytheville station. That's where they were--his broadcasting had him on the radio that morning. He was a shoe cobbler there, years and years before that. And there he was, perfectly normal and well. And he could see. He stood right there in church and read the Bible and everything: had been totally blind; drawing a blind pension for ten years. And so they was just having an awful time.

21 He... This man said, "I have brought patients down here. And I got a woman out here that's dying out here now, if she isn't already dead." And said, "I can't get the doctor nowhere," and says, "I--I don't know what to do." Said, "Can't you come to her?"
I said, "Brother, looky, there's probably a thousand people walled to that wall there? How could I get in there?"
And some men stepped out, said, "We'll take you if you want to go."
Brother Reed stepped up to the platform, said, "Go ahead." And out through there--and the pitiful part, them dear people... I ain't saying this because there's some Arkansas people setting here. See? But I tell you, they may not have too much of this world's goods, but they sure got faith that can make some of these big cities feeled ashamed of themselves. That's right.
They come down there. I seen young girls pack their shoes and stockings in their--in their hands, and be coming. They wouldn't know I was in woods there praying. And see them walk along the side of the road, barefooted, and then put their--dust off their feet and put their shoes and socks: young ladies, sixteen, seventeen years old, and go right on to the church like that. Come in old cotton wagons and things like that, trying to get...

22 And here, some time ago somebody wanted to give me a Cadillac car. And I said, "Do you mean to tell me that I have..." I said, "Brother, I'm glad you got one."
One said, "We just gave Avak one; why not give you one?"
I said, "Look, brother, you mean to tell me that I'd go down through Arkansas, and some of them poor little women out there pulling that cotton sack, and their back broke, and eating fat bacon, perhaps, and cornmeal for breakfast, and say, 'There goes Brother Branham,' going down the street out there in a Cadillac car?" I said, "Not me, brother. That don't run in my blood to do that." No, sir. If I got what I deserved, I'd ride a bicycle or be walking if it was going through there. No, that's right, brother.
But it's all right now, any of you's got a Cadillac, I ain't saying nothing against a Cadillac, but that's just... That's for you. See? All right.

23 Anyhow, in there, these poor people, laying out there... And I'd got to the ambulance, and he got me up there: and friends, one of the most pathetic sights I ever seen. There in that ambulance was an old dad down, the souls of his shoes out, patched... Oh, when he put me in mind of my own dad, his old blue shirt, faded and patched all over. An old hat in his hand was sewed with twine-cord, around like that, him saying, "O God, give her back to me. God, give her back to me," wringing his hands like that.
And the driver said, "Here's Brother Branham," called him by name. And I--and I...
"Oh," and he said, "Oh, Brother Branham, she's dead; she's dead." And he said, "Oh, mama's gone," started crying.
I said, "What is it, dad?" And I looked.
He said, "Look at her."
Well now, truly, I don't think the woman was dead. See? But her mouth was open to... Her teeth would been taken out, and she had... Her eyes were set way back, and like muddy water, like, run down the side. Her forehead was stiffened.
Now, I've seen people that was dead, and I seen the Lord bring them to life. If I had time I'd testify and tell you about it; but you've read it in the magazines and papers, and seen the notary seals and so forth that testify the same thing. I've seen three dead people that was pronounced dead, and laid out and gone, that's come back to life, because Jesus Christ did it. That's right. And...

24 But anyhow, in this case here, I think the woman was in a coma. I'm not sure. But I went up there and I took a hold of her. She was... I shook her, and she was laying.... And I said, "Can you--can you--can you hear me?" And her mouth was just open. She was laying stiff. I said, "Dad..." I had a hold of her hand. And I said, "Dad, let us--let's pray." And he said... I said, "God, please console the life of this poor man here, that his wife..."
He said, "Oh, Brother Branham, she was so sweet." Said, "She--she... We've raised our children." Said, "We done it. We horrowed over them old clods together, all through her life." Said, "We've worked so hard." And said, "And [unclear words] she took cancer." And he said, "When she got sick," said, "I--I sold my farm. I done everything to try to save her life." And said, "And I sold my mules." And said, "And I--I spent everything." And said, "The doctor's done the very best he could, but they couldn't stop it." And he said, "Brother Branham, how we come down here," said, "we sold her quilts that she's been quilting and making." Said, "And--and some of those blackberries that she canned last year," said, "we sold them to pay for the ambulance, bring them a hundred and fifty miles down." Said, "She's gone now, Brother Branham."
I said, "Well, dad, she was a Christian."
"Oh, yes, Brother Branham, she was a Christian."
I said, "Well, you'll meet her again."

25 I said, "Let's pray." And we got to praying. And as I was praying, like that, I said, "Lord God, You made heavens and earth. You know all things. I pray that You'll console. Thou art God. I know not what to say." And about that time I felt something moving down. I thought, "Why, that's just psychology. I'm just thinking that." And I just kept on. I said, "Lord God, You know all things; all thing's committed to You." And about that time, I feeled her hand twitch on mine. Now.
Well, Satan said, You know what that was?" Said, "That's... She's dying; that's her nerves jumping like that." But all the time I could feel the vibration of that cancer. And now, the reason I thought--know she--didn't think she was dead, because that cancer would've went with it; but the germ of cancer was still there. I knew it.
In a few moments, the cancer ceased. It didn't move no more. And I kept holding her hand and praying. After while I looked down; she squeezed my hand. I knowed that wasn't nerves twitching. So he was still crying and praying. I looked over at him. And when I looked over at him, he was just crying and praying. I looked down to her, and this skin on her forehead was wrinkling back, and she was moving her eyes like that. I just held real still. He just kept praying just as loud as he could, just screaming and crying and crying, "God, give her back."
And she looked over; she said, "Who are you?"
I said, "I'm Brother Branham."
About that time he looked up, and he heard that, and he looked; he hollered, "Mother, Mother, Mother," and he grabbed her in his arms like that and begin to screaming.
About a year after that, she was testifying on the radio about it in one of my programs down in Texas somewhere there where she come down, given a testimony.

26 Well, I said, "Well, I'm going to get back now to the car."
And that man said, "My, Brother Branham, there's two thousand people packed between here and that door." Said, "You couldn't get back if you had to." Said, "Now look, the men that brought you," said, "I sent them around at the back in a big parking lot. You know where that is, back behind the place there." And he said, "Now, nobody knows you back there," which they had been standing back there, but nobody got in. Said, "Now, you go down this way, go through this ambulance row, and come back around. There's an alley like that comes in behind that lot; then you come up into the place there's flood lights. Said, "You go on up over to the corner, and they're trying to twist their way through those people.
And I said, "Why, they'd see me get out."
He said, "I'll take my coat off and hold it up to the door like this so they won't see you." Now, that looked like awful to do that, but I climbed over the seat and went on out the front way, side; went up through that row of ambulances there and come on up and started going through. And I was pushing people this way and that way (You know?), getting in. Was kind of drizzling rain.
Somebody said, "Stop pushing."
I said, "Yes, excuse me." I just kept on pushing, go right through them, going on.
Someone said, "Set down." I just kept on moving (You know?), everybody...
And after while I pushed up against a great big typical Arkansawyer. "Excuse me." Aha. And he said. And I pushed up against him; he's standing there whittling with a knife. And I... Somebody bounced me over against him. I said... He said, "Set down."
And I said... I was afraid he was going to set me down, so... I said, "Excuse me, sir, I didn't mean to do that."
Said, "Don't you know no better than to push like that?"
I said, "Yes, sir, I do, but I'm very sorry."
He turned around and kept on whittling, and said, "As I was saying..." (You know?), talking like that.
And I thought, "Good."

27 So I watched him a little bit. You know? And after while I heard somebody hollering, "Daddy! Daddy!"
I thought, "Where is that?" I looked coming down through the crowd. Now, the Jim Crowe law is in Arkansas: segregation, colored's not allowed with the white. So you know that. So then... And I looked, coming down through there, and there come a young colored girl. She looked to be about in her late teens, very well dressed. And she was just as blind as she could be. Her eyes was white with cataracts as my shirt. And she was pushing along like that, hollering, "Daddy! Daddy!" no one noticing her.
Well, I thought, "That poor thing." And I thought, "I can do something for her, maybe. And I looked around; I couldn't see the men. They'd never got around that corner yet to where the building, so I... It was big great lot in there, way larger than this place in here--about a half a block, city block back there. So I--and I was standing there watching. And she started coming this way, pushing and bumping everybody, excusing herself, and going on hollering, "Daddy! Oh Daddy! Where are you?"
So I just leaned over. It looked kind of...

28 Now, you... Now, wait till this is over, because you'll think I was a hypocrite doing this. So I moved over to where I got right in the line; when she'd go this way, I'd stay this way till she bumped into me. And she bumped into me like that. Something told me go over there. And she hit me. She said, "Pardon me."
I said, "Yes, ma'am."
She said, "Daddy!"
I said, "What do you want? Who you calling?"
She said, "Sir," (That's Southern talk. You know?); she said, "Sir, I want my daddy. I can't find him nowhere." Said, "I--I just don't know who... Nobody will help me."
I said, "Where you from?"
She said, "I's from Memphis." That's about eighty miles. I looked out there at those chartered buses and I seen one said, 'Memphis.'
I said, "What're you doing over here?"
She said, "I come to see the healer."
Said, "The what?" Thought I'd just try her faith. Now, that looks horrible to do that.
And she said, "I come to see the healer." She said, "They tell me this is his last night here, and I can't even get near the building. I lost my daddy. Nobody will help me back to the bus, and I don't know what to do. Will you help me, kind sir?"
And I said, "I want to question you just a minute. You said you come to see who?"
She said, "The healer."
I said, "Do you believe such stuff as that?"
She said, "Yes, sir."
And I thought... Well, that kind of made me feel little... You know? And I said, "Well, what do you...? How...? You believe he could--he could help you?"
She said, "Yes, sir." She said, "Look, the..." She said, "I's was a little girl about ten years old. I got cataracts on my eyes. The doctor told me when they got ripe, he would take them out." Now, what 'ripe' means, I don't know. But said, "When they got ripe, he'd take them out." Said, "Now, they ripe, and the doctor says [Brother Branham coughs.] ( Pardon me.) if he would take them out, he'd pull the optical nerves out of my eyes. And I can't never be healed until I go in the building and see him.

29 I said, "Well, woman, do you believe any such stuff as that, in the days that we got these fine doctors and medical science and things, and do you believe that that story about that Angel appearing to that man is the truth?"
She said, "Yes, sir."
And I said... Now, she couldn't see me, because she's totally blind. And I said--I said, "How'd you ever hear about this?"
She said, "On the radio this morning, I heard a man testifying, had been blind." So that was the man from ten years, up there. Said, "I heard him testify and heard him read the Bible." And she said, "Sir, that's the only hope I have to ever see."
And I said, "Do you mean you believe such?"
She said, "Listen, sir, is there any way that you could get me to where he's at?" Said, "If you'll get me where he's at, I'll find my daddy after that." Oh, my. That was too much for me. "I'll find my daddy if I can get in there." Expectancy, if she could ever get where God was moving, something's going to happen.

30 I thought of that of that blind man, this mor--that morning. Then I thought of old blind Fanny Crosby:
Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou are calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the Stream of all my comfort,
More than life to me,

31 I thought, "That poor, blind Ethiopian girl, standing there, how she was trying..." If one blind man could receive his sight, why couldn't she? And there I felt sorry for her. I said, "Look; be real quiet now, will you?"
And she said, "Yes, sir. Will you go take me in?"
And I said, "Just a moment now. Now, nobody knows we're talking." I said, "Do you want to... Who'd you say you want to see?"
She said, "The healer."
I said, "Look. Do you mean, you want to see Brother Branham?"
She said, "That's him."
I said, "I am Brother Branham." Said.... And she grabbed me like that, and she said... I said, "Look, turn me loose. Turn..."
"Oh, no. No, no." She held me like that. Said, "No." She said, "Is you the healer?"
I said, "No, I'm Brother Branham. Jesus is the Healer."
She said, "Well, you's the man that prayed for that man that got... Oh..." She said, "Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord," just holding me like that, right by the lapels of the coat.
I said, "Look, lady, I want to take a hold of your hand," but there's no way of doing that. I couldn't pry her hands loose. I'd pull like that, and she'd pull my coat. And I didn't want to attract attention, so I just got a hold of her hands like this and held them. I said, "Now, you bow your head and don't say nothing. Keep quiet, see," I said, "because the people will push in here, and then I won't be able to pray for you."
And she said, "I hear you. I hear you."
And I said, "Now, bow your head and you believe that Jesus is going to give you your sight?
She said, "I know He is now."

32 And so she bowed her head like that. And I... Here's the prayer I prayed. I said, "Almighty God, the Creator of heavens and the earth, have respect to this poor black girl's prayer." I said, "Some nineteen hundred years ago, there was an old rugged cross going down through Jerusalem, dragging out the bloody footprints of the Bearer. On His road up the hill, His little frail body, with such a load, fell. He couldn't go no farther. He was bleeding; a crown of thorns on His head; and His shoulders rubbed; His back bleeding; striped and wounded; the blood pouring out down along the street; His little frail body fell. Simon, the Ethiopian, a colored man, come along and picked up the cross and said, 'I helped Him bear the cross.'" I said, "Dear God, You remember that, Lord Jesus." I said, "Here's one of His children, staggering in total darkness. And I don't know why You sent me around beside this building here, but they're taught the footsteps of a righteous man is ordered by the Lord. Then, Lord, all I know to do is to ask You. I pray that You'll give this poor girl her sight. Grant it, Lord."
The vibration of the cancer, or the tumors on her eyes; cataracts stopped. That's the only way I had of knowing in them days. You know when that was going on, testified that this other would come. I knew she was healed then. I said, "Now, keep your head bowed." I said, "Don't you raise your head till I tell you now. Now, you keep your eyelids closed."
She said, "Yes, sir." She said, "I feel real cool in my eyes."
I said, "Just keep your head bowed." I said, "Now, raise your head till just about where you think you'll look right about even with me."
She said, "Yes, sir." Said, "That about right?"
And I said, "That's about right?" I said, "Now, in the name of the Lord Jesus, receive your sight. Open your eyes."
She said, "Is that lights?"
And I said, "Yes."
Said, "What's them black--them spots passing by me?" Said, "Is that people?"
I said, "Yes."
She said, "Oh, Lord, I who was once blind, can now see." Oh, my, she attracted the whole country around. She screamed and jumped up in the air.

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Matthew 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

Mark 15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

Luke 23:26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

33 And about that time, I started to go through to see if I could get to the corner and see if the men had got there yet. And I seen an old man stand there, his foot twisted around on a mat, laying, standing there on a club like that, holding it. He said, "Brother Branham, I know you." He said, "I've been standing here for eight days in this rain." Said, "Two days of it I haven't been able to eat while I'm sitting here waiting." Expectancy.
I said, "Do you believe?"
He said, "Just ask God. God will do the rest of it."
I said, "Then give me your cane, in the name of the Lord Jesus." Here lays my Bible before me. I stood with my own eyes, that I expect to look on Jesus with someday. And I seen him when he had his leg like this. He had a bunch of children at home. He was holding on to this old club like this.
He said, "Yes, sir," and he handed that... As he handed that way... When his legs... He jumped into the air like that, and screamed to the top of his voice, and begin to shout and throw up his hands like that.
And I started to easing... I seen these men trying to get to me and everybody begin to run together then, coming from all directions. And, friend, people, trying to get you, they were trying to hold the babies over like that, trying to get them to even touch me or something: faith, faith, expectancy. They believed.

34 And listen, this is no sin. Till that time, I hadn't--didn't have a suit of clothes. I wouldn't even let them take an offering for me. That's right. Just... I just lived by what people sent me by the mail. And my brother, one of my single brothers, had been in a wreck with an old brown suit. You remember, you people from Arkansas, I had it on: a coat of one kind, trousers of another. The trousers... First, when we started out, he'd had a wreck, he tore the pocket off like this in the car, and he cut it down the side, two or three places. And the wife and I went down to the ten-cent store and got them kind of patches (You know?) you put on with a hot iron and iron them back and forth. I don't know, some kind of a patch. And that's the way we patched them. And this coat pocket here, I'd took a needle and thread and sewed it up. And I'm a long way from being a seamstress. And I sewed it up like that.

35 And it's the truth, when I'd go to meet preachers, I, preachers would come. I didn't know many preachers. And when they go to meet them, I was ashamed of that old ragged coat. I'd put my hand over like that with my right arm and take my left hand and shake their hand and say, "Excuse my left hand, but it's closer to my heart." The thing it was... It wasn't that; it was that old ragged coat that I didn't want them to see. That's right. But let me tell you something, brother. In the midst of all of that, the Lord God of heaven, people were pushing and crowding, trying to touch that old ragged coat and was getting healed. They was expecting if they could touch, God would reward. That same God that was in Arkansas that night is here today, if you can just expect God. It wasn't... That old ragged coat had nothing to do with it; it was them people's faith in God. They had seen Him move and that they believed it. If you don't expect nothing, you can't get nothing.

36 Simeon... Wish I had time to get into some of that. But here was Simeon, an old man, promised him by the Holy Ghost that he wasn't going to die before he seen the Lord's Christ. He didn't care what the rest of the ministerial association said; he believed the Holy Ghost told him so. There's not two Holy Ghosts; there's only one. That same Holy Ghost that told Simeon that--that he was expecting to see the Christ, is the same Holy Ghost that's telling you there's a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Emmanuel's veins. That's right. That same Holy Ghost that tells you there is a fountain open for healing. How many of you believe there's healing in the fountain? Let's see?
Listen. You know what? David said, "As the deep calleth to the deep..." The deep--the waterspouts... Looky here, there has to be a deep out there to respond to every deep's a calling here. Do you believe it?
Looky here. And otherwise, 'fore there's a fin on a fish's back, there had to be a water for him to swim in first, or he wouldn't have had the fin. Is that right? Sure there is.

Psalm 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

37 And looky here; I seen a piece in the paper some, a year or two years ago, where a little baby had eat the erasers off of pencils. He eat the pedals off of a bicycle. They said, "What's the matter with the child?" The doctor examined and taken analysis of his blood; and come to find out, he needed sulfur. There's sulfur in rubber. See? A deep calling to the deep. See what I mean? They got to... If there's a call... If there's a call in here for sulfur, calling for sulfur, there's got to be sulfur somewhere to respond to it, or there'd no call for sulfur. See what I mean? Oh, my, how I feel: very religious.
Listen. Let me tell you something now. If there's a deep calling... Here not long ago, when the church begin to cool off and get formal through the great Wesley revival, the people begin to hunger for more of God. If you hunger for more of God, there's bound to be more of God to respond to it somewhere. If you've only been justified by faith and know nothing about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and you hunger for it, there's got to be a Holy Ghost somewhere to fill that hungering. That's right. And if you believe today there is a God Who heals, there's got to be a fountain open somewhere for healing, or that desire wouldn't be there.
In other words, like this: before there is a creation here, there has to be a Creator to create that creation. Is that right? And if there is a creation in your heart here to hunger and thirst for divine healing, a God that'll have mercy on you, there's got to be a God somewhere to have mercy that creates that creation. Amen. Now, that's true. Something, you're hungering...

38 Well, isn't it strange? Look at Simeon. The Holy Ghost promised him, "You're not going to see death till you see the Christ."
"Why," they said, "David looked for Him, and this one looked for Him, and that one looked for Him."
"No matter what they looked for Him, the Holy Ghost has told me so." He was expecting to see Him. He didn't care what people said; he was expecting.
When Jesus was born in Judea, in Bethlehem, there was a few stargazers seen cross observatory of star mystics. None of the men at the observatory, or the planetarium, they didn't see it. They knowed nothing about it. But my Bible said they followed a star. I believe it. They seen it. It was for them.
Divine healing today, is not for the unbeliever; it's for those who believe. The baptism of the Holy Spirit today's not for unbelievers; it's for those who believe. Jesus died for believers, not for unbelievers; it's for those who believe. The supernatural follows who's supernatural minded. That's right. When the hungering and thirsting, when you got an expectancy, when you read God's Word and expect to see God perform what He said He would do, God will do it.

Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

39 Here comes... I can see down there that day Jesus was born. Here a few shepherds out there... The angels come down. They never went over to the big church. They never went over to the high and exalted, and educated, and them with the DD's. They come to shepherds, peasants.
Excuse me for yelling. And I'm not excited. I know where I am. Uh-huh. That's right. If you felt like I did, you'd probably be doing the same things. Let me tell you. What it is today is God is the same yesterday, today, and forever; He doesn't change. He moves among His people. He's the supernatural One. He's the All Sufficient One.
When He appeared to Abraham when He was a hundred years old, He said, "I am the El Shaddai." "El Shaddai" mean... "El" comes from God. "Shaddai" from Shadah, means "the bosom, like on a woman." In other words, "Abraham, I am the breasted One. You just come to Me. I know you're old, and you can't--you can't see how it can be possible; but you just lean up here on My bosom and I'll show you how I'll do it." He's still the Almighty. He's the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, and we are Abraham's seed. Being dead in Christ we take on Abraham's seed and are heirs according to the promise. Why shouldn't we believe the supernatural? Amen. Notice. Don't get scared. "Amen" means, "so be it."

40 All right. Watch closely now. I can see Simeon back up there at the temple that morning. They didn't have the radio, and press, and things, the way we have today to scatter news. If they would, they never would've knowed nothing about it. They'd said, "Just some fanatic's down there." And, "Down there a woman's had a baby. It's a illegitimate child, so what of it?" Don't even put it in the paper; don't waste the time. We got to argue about politics: 'who will be the next politician or something; whether Herod's going to be elected next or not.'" See? They wouldn't have put that in.
What man calls foolish, God calls great. What man calls foolish, God calls great and what... And just vice versa. That's right. What is foolishness to God, seems great to man. What is great to God, seems foolishness to people. You've got to get out of the world into the supernatural realm to understand it. Certainly, you have.

41 Now, I want to show you something here by the help of the Holy Spirit. And I hope it sinks right down deep in your soul.
Look. Let's take Monday morning, say it was Monday. Every time there was some Hebrew children... A couple million more Jews in Palestine at that time, every eight days there had to be a circumcision for the children. They had to be circumcised, the purification for the mother on the eight days. Well, you imagine how many children was born in twenty-four hours. Every day there was a line of women standing with their babies to be circumcised and purification. The right...
An ordinary rich person could offer a lamb, little male without a blemish. A poor person had turtledove to offer. Now, let's look here. Let's do a little drama here a minute. Oh, I know He's near. Oh, if I could only some way, right in these crucial moments like I stand now... If I could only transfer what I'm thinking now, what I'm doing, to you, there wouldn't be a sick person left in the building or an unsaved. Wished I could do it, but it's not in my power. Oh, my, how His wings spreads the place.

42 Look at Simeon. Let's look at that line standing yonder, a line of mothers. There's a little woman standing out there, a little Hebrew girl about eighteen years old, married to a man about forty-five. She's a virgin yet. She's holding a little baby in her arms, wrapped in swaddling's cloth. That's the stuff off the back of a yoke of ox. They hang it there in the stable. They claim that's what it was. And they wrapped Him in it: no clothes, yet, He was the King of glory.
She had a black name to face her. "She was a woman that'd lived unholy, and this baby was borned out of holy wedlock," so the world said. But she knew Whose baby that was. And here she stands this morning, with a Baby in her arms, holding a peasant's offering, a little turtledove, holding the little Fellow as she watched the Baby, the veil over her face. The other women saying, "Do you know? That's humph... who she is. That baby was born without a father." See? "Step back; don't get around her." See? There she stood alone, but she, like all real true supernatural born people, many time has to stand alone. But if you know... Didn't bother Mary. She knew all what was going on.
Here he is. The line moves up a little farther. They call another mother. They take the offering in. The priest comes to circumcise the child. Mary moves up a few more steps. All right.

43 Let's look over yonder a little piece. In a prayer room I see an old sage setting over there. He had a scroll out, reading it. White hair hanging down, white beard, way up in his nineties, everybody said, "He's a little bit off (You know?), because he says he's going to see the Christ. Did you ever think of such a thing?" But he was expecting to see Him, reading the scroll: "All we like sheep have gone astray. The Lord has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. Yet we did esteem Him, smitten and stricken of God; for He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity. The chastise... peace upon Him; with His stripes we're healed." I can see that old priest rub his eyes, look back again, and about... He was expecting, said, "Now, Holy Ghost, You told me that one of these days I'd see Him."
And about that time the Holy Ghost said, "Simeon, stand to your feet." Hallelujah.
"What's the matter, Lord?" Something going on...
"Start walking, Simeon. I promised you. You been expecting something. I'm going to show you something, because you've been expecting something." That's right. "Going to show you something..."

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

44 All right, here he comes walking. I don't know where to go, Lord, but You said, 'Just walk.'" I see him walk out down through that bunch of people; hit that line of women; go right down along them women looking along. He stopped by the side of that little woman with that Baby wrapped in her arms, reached over and picked the little Fellow up; looked at Him; he said, "Lord, let Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word, for my eyes have seen His--Your salvation." Why? He recognized it. He knew it. He had the promise. Hallelujah.
Don't be scared. Hallelujah means "praise our God," and He's worthy of all the praises we can give Him. All right. Look at this, friend. You go, call me holy roller anyhow, so you might as well get started.
Look. Let me tell you something. Look. He was expecting it. He had the promise of God. And when it come, He recognized it. Hallelujah. Any man or woman that's got a promise of God, when it comes, you recognize it. When the Holy Spirit's in this building now, I recognize it. Christ, the Healer is here; I recognize Him. David said, "I'll make my praises known; I'll lift up my voice as I worship Him and praise Him; in the congregation of the saints will I worship Him." Sure. Here He is.

Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

Luke 2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

45 I think of him, come down there, picking up that baby. God had promised. And when God promised, the Holy Spirit come down, said, "Now, Simeon, you've been expecting to see Him; come on out. I want you to see Him because you been looking for Him."
The same Holy Ghost that led Simeon there to see the Christ child in the arms of His mother, when he was expecting it, the same Holy Ghost has led you here this day. You believe in divine healing? Do you? Say, "Amen." You believe in divine healing? Are you expecting to be healed. Well, the same God that promised divine healing is here at the fountain. Expect it. Believe it. Signs and wonders...

46 Look way over in a corner now, as we have a mental vision. I see an old prophetess, setting over there by the name of Ann. We're told that she was blind. She lived with a man once... She's called a virgin but she'd lived with a man once, about seven years. And he had died, so she just lived in the temple, praying constantly for the consolation of the people. And the Holy Spirit was on her. The Holy Ghost struck her and said, "Ann, you've been looking for Israel's Consolation. Stand up." Oh, my, I can see her coming; blind, moving around through the people, led by the Holy Spirit, moving around through the people. Comes right down to where Simeon's holding that Baby, raised up her hands and blessed God. She was expecting it.
Brother, sister, He's here this afternoon to bless, to add grace, to do anything that you're expecting Him to do. Do you believe it? Do you believe He's going to give us a great meeting tonight? My time is past. Let's bow our heads.

47 Almighty God, O God, have mercy, have mercy. I don't know what I'm say, Lord. I'm lost for words when I think I've prayed to You and saying, "What can I see when I see the name of Ichabod wrote all over the country." The glory of the Lord is departing, and people's, Lord... O Christ of God, send an old fashion, sweeping meeting, Lord. Grant it indeed, that the people might see You are sending Your Angel. He's confirming Word. Signs and wonders are following; great things are going on, as we're taught in the Bible, "A little while and the world seeth Me no more. Yet you'll see Me." You, who? The one's expecting to. "I'll be with you, even in You, into the end of the world." You said, "These things I do not... The Father shows me what to do." And here You are now, night after night, night after night, day after day, place after place, working, proving, showing Your great power and manifestation; that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. God, wake up people, quickly, Lord. I pray that they'll wake up before the time is gone.
O the day is far spent and night is going on when no man can work. Lord God, send an old-fashioned power of awakening in this building tonight, and may there be people filled with the Holy Spirit; those that are wayward and gone, be called back to the kingdom of God. Grant it, Lord. I pray that every blind man will see tonight; every crippled man will walk; every cancer will be killed; every deaf will hear; every dumb will speak. And every thing... The power of God will take the meeting far away into the realms yonder, where the people will not even know what they're doing; but the power of God may heal every one of them. Grant it, Lord. In Jesus Christ's name, I ask it. Amen. God bless you.

1 As we bow our heads just a moment. Our heavenly Father, we are sure that Thou does hear the prayer of faith. And while we're gathered here tonight, we're thanking Thee in advance for Thy blessings, thanking Thee for all that Thou has done for us, and looking forward tonight to Your great presence to be with us.
Thank You for the message that You gave to our brother. And we pray that it'll be bedded deep into the hearts of people that are sick and needy, that they may be healed tonight, and the unsaved might be saved. And then stretch forth the hand of Thy holy child Jesus with signs and wonders, that the people might be encouraged in this great dark day that we're living. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. Be seated.

2 I'm very happy to be here tonight to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus, as His servant to serve you in the way of bringing the gospel by praying for the sick and working the harvest field in general.
So happy to see many folks sitting around that as... I have met some of my friends from my home town. My wife and little girls with me tonight, and we're very happy for them to be here.
Been watching the audience to find my mother, but I hardly think that she's in tonight. And I pray that God will bless all of you, and may this evening be well remembered because of His presence. That's what we want: His presence.

3 Now, I wish to read just a portion of Scripture. And now, tomorrow night I have an announcement to make for Saturday night. We want Saturday night to be a meeting to answer a lot of requests. Not Scripturally speaking at what people's asked me, but something you've been wanting me to do for a long time, according to your letters. I'll try it, if God is willing, for this coming Saturday night. As you pray for me...
Now, in the Scriptures... I would daresn't to try to add something to what our brother has already said. But walking to the platform... The reason that I do this, and especially tonight... Wife and them just dropped in a few moments ago. And then I was out having a little lunch awhile ago, and I met some friends and was talking to them, and...

4 The way I want to talk just a little so that I know the Holy Spirit is present before we go to praying for the sick. I'm sure you'll bear with me a little while. It's hot in here tonight. But it is much better than it has been, and we thank the Lord for that. And I pray that the cool wave will come so we can just have a glorious time in closing of these services.
Now, in the gospel according to Saint Luke, the second chapter, I want to read a portion of the 25th and 26th verses. And I think it goes on down quite a few verses here I wish to read. But beginning at the 25th verse.
And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; ... the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought ... the child Jesus, to do for him as the custom of the law,
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Lord, now, let ... thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
A light to ... the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
And Joseph and his mother marveled at these things which were spoken unto them.
And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; for a sign which shall be spoken against;
(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) and the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, and that ... of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
And she was a widow of about threescore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
... she coming in at that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all ... that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

Luke 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

5 May the Lord add His blessings to the reading of this Word. And seemingly it wouldn't be a very appropriate Scripture to read on a night of praying for the sick. But let's take just a thought just for a few moments.
As I know, sitting here tonight, we're bound to be a mixed up audience of Methodists and Baptists and what more. But we're all in Christ Jesus, the One loving Holy Spirit, who brings us in.
Now, some people comes to the meeting sincerely, some wants to look and curiosity... God called Moses to have a little curiosity one time to turn aside and see why a bush didn't burn down. He caught him. So maybe ... I hope the bush gets afire tonight, and someone looks and sees that God is in His burning bush.

6 Let's take just a little subject for the next ten, fifteen minutes and say, on the word, "Expectancy." You know, usually you get what you expect to get. If you come to the meeting saying, "Well, I'm going down there just to see what I can see. I don't believe it in the first place." Well, the devil's going to show you something that you won't believe. You can just depend on that. But if you are coming expecting to get a blessing. God will see that you get it. It's just the attitude that you come in---if you're expecting.
Now, I was reading here sometime ago in the Scripture, where David said, "The deep calleth to the deep." And the deep calling to the deep, there's bound to be a deep to respond to that call. As I've many times said, "Before there was a fin on a fish's back, there had to be a water first for him to swim in or it would have no fin." Brother Ryan, he wouldn't have any use for that fin. So he had to have a water there first, and that's the reason he had a fin.
And the next thing we know, that... Well, let's see before there was a tree to grow in the earth, there had to be an earth first for it to grow in, or there wouldn't be any tree. Because if there wasn't any earth, there'd be no tree to grow in it.

Psalm 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

7 Sometime ago, I read a little article in a newspaper that said a little boy was eating erasers off of pencils; and he ate the rubber pedal off of a bicycle. So the doctors examined his body, and they come to find out, the little fellow was lacking something in his body, and that was sulfur.
Now, see, there was something in here calling for sulfur. The little boy was taken out of the earth in the first place, where our bodies came from. Sulfur is found in the earth. We're made up ... a part of us is sulfur. That's one of the chemicals of the body. Well, that was lacking. There was no sulfur there. Well, as long as there's no sulfur there, there's something craving for sulfur. And if there is a crave for sulfur, there has to be a sulfur somewhere to cause that crave. See what I mean? There has to be a deep to respond to the deep that's calling. Get what I mean?

8 David again speaking said, "As the hart thirsts for the water brook, so my soul thirsts after thee, O God." And I think of David as being a hunter. And knowing what a wounded deer is when the hounds is chasing him. The poor little fellow is jumping as hard as he can. He's bleeding. And a wounded deer, if he can get to water, he's got to be vitally wounded or he will live a long time. Now, the hart thirsting for the water brook, he's got to find the brook somewhere or he will die. The hounds are right behind him. And as soon as the hounds catches him, that finishes his life.
If he can find a water brook, he'll drink a lot of water, and that will revive him again. And he can go for hours, and he'll make a circle, and come back across, and go by this water brook again, and drink, then make another circle, and come back to this water brook and drink.
But if he can't find the water brook, he'll die just in a little bit. And that's the way when every soul gets so thirsting after God. You've either got to find God or die. Then you're going to be looking for God.

Psalm 42:1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

9 That's when you'll be expecting to get something from God. When the doctor looks at you and says, "Well, that's all of it. You got a cancer, and it's somewhere in a vital spot. There's no operation. You're dying. You got a few months to live." Then that soul'll go to thirsting. Then you'll go to looking. And that's the time you'll find the water brook too.
Because the deep is calling to the deep. See what I mean? In other words, like this: Before there can be a creation in your heart, there has to be a Creator to create that creation. Is that right?

10 So if there was nobody... If the Scriptures didn't teach divine healing... If the teacher... If the Scriptures did not teach it, and I could, in my soul, I could feel that there was divine healing---something in me said there was divine healing---I'd believe it anyhow.
Look at the Indians when we first come here. Why, they were worshipping sun. They were worshipping totem poles and everything. There was something in them that knowed there was a Maker somewhere. All human beings knows somewhere... They've worshipped images and beasts and everything, but they know there's a Maker somewhere. What is it? They're thirsting for God. There's bound to be a truth and a God somewhere to respond to that thirst.

11 Not long ago when the church begin to getting a little different, formal, and cold. Many of you Full Gospel people, you couldn't stand that. You started craving and thirsting after more of God. And if you're thirsting for more of God, there's got to be more of God to respond to that thirst, or you'd never have the thirst.
That's the reason God poured out His Holy Spirit upon you, because you were thirsting for God. And if you'd thirst like that... Now, the deep calling to the deep. Now, it's like... As I have said some time ago, there was a people who... Electricity, for instance. Electricity has always been in the world. Since God made the world, there was electricity. The lightnings flashed and so forth. I guess since the antediluvian destruction anyhow. But it's always been in the world.

12 But one time there was a man by the name of Benjamin Franklin that took a fishing string and put it on a kite and a key. The lightning struck the key and run down and hit in the bottle, and he stopped the bottle up. And he begin to scream, "I got it. I got it. I got it." He had it, but he didn't know what he had.
And that's just about the way of many people who get saved and really don't know what that's all about. Now, that's as far as he ever went. Well now, there's...

13 That's the same way it is with many church people today. They say, "God saved me from sin." Certainly. Well, the God that saved you from sin can give you happiness, and peace, and joy, and heal your body, and rapture you up into Glory. Why, He's just... The powers are in there to work.
Thomas Edison believed that. And the people thought he was crazy. But he knew he was all right. But he said something in him told him that that current would follow a certain wire. And he tried tens of thousands of them.
He would try one, throw it over to one side, try it again, throw it over. But thousands and thousands he tried and still no current. It didn't discourage him. He kept right on trying wires until he found one that the current would follow. Then when he did that, he give the world electricity.

14 What was it? It was God going to light the world with His own electricity. It had been here all the time. It was here all the time. But they just didn't know how to harness it and make it work for you.
Well now, the same Holy Spirit that fell on the day of Pentecost that's healed the sick back there, it's been here in the church all the time; but the thing of it is, you don't know how to make it work for you. Now, the thing that makes it work is faith to believe. And when you believe and take Him at His Word, that's the lifeline. And it cannot fail.

15 Now, if you'd go in the morning and turn on your electric iron, some of you women, to start to iron. And the first thing you know, the iron doesn't come on. Well, you'll not go around and say, "There is no such a thing as electricity." Hunh-uh. No, you wouldn't do that. There's just something wrong; you got your wires crossed up.
That's what's the matter with many people that say, "Well, I got prayed for. I didn't get healed. There's no such thing as divine healing." You just got your wires crossed up. Look at the others that's getting healed, see, see. There's something wrong with you, not with God, see.

16 Now, I think in our text tonight was a very beautiful illustration here---in this next five minutes.
Now, in my heart there has been something in my life that tells me that there is a healing somewhere. How many in here believe in divine healing? Let's see your hands. Now look, friends, you're not here just to be seen. There's something that told you there's divine healing.
There's many sick people in here tonight. And as sure as you're searching for that, there's got to be a fountain open somewhere. There's got to be. As long as that deep is in your heart calling, there's got to be a deep to respond to it somewhere. There's got to be a fountain of healing somewhere.

17 Now, let's turn to Simeon just for a few moments as we close. Reading of him in the days of the birth of Jesus. They didn't have the press like we got now. And they didn't have television, and telephones, and so forth. The only way they carried message was from lip to ear, and maybe a runner packed a letter.
But the news didn't spread out too well. Well, there was three Magi had been watching for the star to appear. Balaam had prophesied there would be a... Those eastern Oriental people... He'd prophesied that there'd be a star rise out of Jacob. They'd watched for that for years, and they followed it and found Jesus.
Some shepherds was herding sheep and the angels came and told them. They went to Bethlehem to find the scene. Eight days later...
Well, we find Jesus in the temple. Now, there was an old man there at the temple by the name of Simeon, an old Hebrew sage, long white beard, perhaps in his eighties, long white hair. He was a just man. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel. I like that, don't you? God has never at any time left Himself without a witness. Somebody's going to witness God. God has always had a man that He could put His hand on, say, "That's My servant. I can tell him what to do and he will do it." Now, there was John the Baptist in those days, and Simeon, and many of them. But Simeon, being a man of great prestige, but yet the Holy Ghost revealed to him, that he wasn't going to die until he seen the Lord's Christ.

Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

18 Now, they'd been looking for Christ for four thousand years. And here was an old man, eighty years old... The coming of Christ was farther away than it ever looked, because Jerusalem... Well, the Jews was in captivity. The Roman Empire had captured them and they were governed by the Romans. And oh, such a turmoil of time, cold and indifferent in the spirit, and backslid, and broke away, and every... Just about as bad as it is now.
And right in the midst of that time, this old priest and prophet raised up, going around, saying, "I'm not going to die until I see the Lord's Christ." Well, you imagine what some of the teachers thought. "Why, the old fellow has lost his mind. Well, that old man... Why, even David looked for Him and all the prophets looked for Him. And here he is nearly a hundred years old, ready to die right now, and yet he says he isn't going to die until he sees the Lord's Christ. Well, I believe he's ... I believe he's crazy." Said, "Simeon, why do you say that?"
"The Holy Ghost has revealed it to me." That's right. That was his grounds. "The Holy Ghost has revealed it to me."
Now, we look at him.

19 Let's give a little drama here for a moment. I see it's on Monday morning. Let's say Monday morning or after the Sabbath, whatever it was. And eight days after His birth, His mother came to the temple to offer a sacrifice of purification. Usually a peasant offered a turtle dove; and a rich baby, they could offer a lamb.
But Him being a peasant... Let's see it in the temple. Thousands of people have gathered on Monday morning, and the sacrifice was being offered. But over here on this line is a long string of women that... Oh, several million, three or four million people in Israel that time. So we imagine many babies was born within the space of every twenty-four hours. And so there'd be a line of mothers every day, lined up there to offer for purification, circumcision of the child.

20 Let's drama just a moment, look down along the line here this morning. I see a little lady, a little girl, maybe not over eighteen years old. The first thing, she had a horrible name to begin with, because ... she was a little virgin to begin, of course. But she was to be a mother, and the people thought that this ... her just husband, that she was a pre-wed mother. Well, so they thought, My this is horrible. And here she was with a baby in her arm, not yet married, holding this baby in her arms, walking down along.
Now, could you imagine the dignity of those Jewish people? Said, "Don't get near her." Just exactly like a little church today that's despised and rejected, because in their heart... Like Mary knew in her heart that was God's Son. And the people today can be laughed at, made fun of, or anything, as long as you know in your heart you're right with God, see.

21 And she's holding this baby. I can imagine seeing He's wrapped in swaddling cloth, the King of Glory, wrapped in swaddling cloth. They tell me that's what they take off the back of a yoke of an ox, keep it from rubbing its shoulders. They take this cloth off, and there's nothing to put on around the baby, so they just wrapped Him up in this cloth.
And here she stands with two little turtle doves as an offering. The people stand back, keeping their space from her, like she was something that was going to bother them.

22 But the Holy Spirit was there at the temple that morning. I can see Simeon sitting back in a prayer room somewhere, reading the Scriptures, maybe like over in Isaiah: "All we like sheep have gone astray. The Lord has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all."
Now, if God had promised Simeon, God's under obligation to bring Simeon to the place and to see the Person that He'd promised him he'd see. Is that right?
Now, I can see Simeon sitting there reading. And all at once the Holy Spirit speaks to him. He jumps and says, "Yes, Lord."
"Rise to your feet, Simeon." I can see Simeon start walking, don't know where he's going. He's moving out into the temple. Here he comes out the door, walks down along the side, comes down to where this bunch of mothers are standing, walks right down along the side of that bunch of mothers, till he comes to this little woman standing there with a veil over her face, holding her little baby in her arms like that, reached over, tears running down his cheeks like this and over his white beard, picked up the little baby, tears running down his cheeks, saying, "Now, Lord, let Thy servant depart in peace according to Thy Word: For my eyes have seen Your salvation."

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Luke 2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

Luke 2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

23 The same God that led Simeon, because he had a promise in his heart, that the Christ he would see before he died, that same Holy Spirit... There's not two Holy Spirits. There is only one Holy Spirit. And that same Holy Spirit, because something in Simeon's heart told him that he was going to see Christ before he died, that same Holy Spirit led you here tonight. There's no two Holy Spirits. One led you here tonight, because you believe in divine healing and He's led you to the fountain where it's open tonight, free for healing. That's right. The same Holy Spirit has led you in here.
Oh, now, I think of it. And Simeon standing there, and the tears running down his cheeks, saying, "Lord, let thy servant depart in peace." The Holy Spirit moving him.

Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

24 Way over in the corner somewhere was an old blind prophetess by the name of Anna. We're told she was blind. The Holy Ghost struck her, because she was looking for something too. And here comes that blind prophetess, moving through the crowd, coming up along that row, till she finds herself right in front of that baby, and lifts up her hands, and blessed God, and prophesied. Oh, my.
The same Holy Ghost that could lead a blind woman down among those crowds to the promise, has led you here tonight where the gospel is being preached and the promise is poured out upon the people. And healing and salvation is flowing freely tonight under these canopies of the heavens tonight for whosoever will, let him come and believe. Amen.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

25 How marvelous. Oh, God, lead us tonight. That's my prayer. Lead me like Simeon. If you're sick tonight, God has led you here. If you're a sinner tonight, God has led you here for salvation and healing of your body.
May you, as Simeon of old, reach over, and pick Him up in your arms of faith, and embrace Him, and say, "Now, Lord, all doubt has left me; I know I will receive tonight what I ask for, for I embrace Your promise to my heart."
Father, in the name of Thy Son Jesus, may the Holy Spirit come now and bring salvation of healing to many that are here sick and needy. May there not be a backslider but what will be brought back to the fold tonight. May there not be a sinner but what will be brought to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. O God, grant these blessings we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Now, let's think just a moment while Brother Boze is bringing the woman. You can bring her over, won't you, Brother Boze?
Let it be known to every man and woman here, that I cannot heal no one. There's not another man on earth, not no man on earth who can heal you, not even to a doctor. Did you know that? God does all the healing.

29 Let me show you just a little simple thing while they're causing disturbance, see. Look, for inst... Now look this way and listen to me just a moment. What if I cut my hand tonight plumb to the bone in my hand. There isn't a medicine in the world could heal that knife cut, not a medicine. Of all of our fine things, there's nothing that will heal that knife cut.
Oh, you say, "Brother Branham, they'd put penicillin in there." That wouldn't heal it. We put tincture Merthiolate, that won't heal it. There's nothing that'll heal it, 'cause we haven't got nothing that'll heal a knife cut.
If we had anything would heal a knife cut, it would heal a knife cut in the back of that book; it'd heal a knife cut on this desk, or on my coat. It would heal a knife cut just the same, if it'd heal a knife cut.

30 But you say, "Brother Branham, medicine wasn't made for your coat and that desk. Medicine was made to heal a human body." Well, for instance, I cut my hand, and I fall down dead, and you embalm my body with a fluid that would make me look natural for fifty years. You give me a shot of penicillin every day, sew that up, with the best doctors in the world to sew it up. Every day they put Merthiolate, and salve, and everything else on it. In fifty years from today, that cut will look just exactly like it did when it was cut. Is that right? Well, I thought you said medicine was to heal the human body. Oh, you say, "The life is gone out of me, Brother Branham." That's [unclear word]. That's different." Sure.

31 Then if medicine is the healer, it doesn't need life. But medicine doesn't build tissues. Medicine only keeps clean while God builds tissues, see. God is the only One. Medicine... I have nothing against doctors and their work. That's God's mercy sent to us. But they can't heal. They don't claim to. They don't claim to heal. They only claim to assist nature. God does the healing, see.
I might break my arm, and you'd lay me out there and put all them bones ... let the doctor put every bone (Now, listen how simple), put every bone to its place, and lay my arm right out like that, that's the only thing he can do: set it. If God doesn't heal it and I die laying there, in fifty years from today, if there's any of that bone left, it'd be broken every place just exactly like it was.

32 God produces the calcium, the life that mends that bone back together. So God is the Healer. Is that right? I am not a healer. Jesus Christ was not a Healer. He did not claim to be a Healer. He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works; it's My Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works." Is that right? No man can glory.
Now, what did Jesus do? He was the King of kings. But as Jesus Himself, He was limited to what His Father would tell Him to do. Is that right? And how did the Father deal with Jesus? By visions. Is that right? That's how He deals with all the prophets: by vision.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

33 Now, look at Saint John 5:19. Saint John 5, Jesus passed through the pool of Bethesda, where all those crippled, and twisted, and withered people were laying. He passed by every one of them, full of love and compassion for them, yet passed right by them, healed a man laying on a pallet, had a retarded disease thirty-eight years. But Jesus knew he was there.
And then, the Jews questioned Him. Why, He said... Now, listen. Here's His words: "Verily, verily (that's 'Absolutely, absolutely,'), I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself but what He sees the Father doing." (Is that right?) Whatever the Father doeth, He showeth the son. He will show you greater than the healing of this prostate trouble, or whatever it was there. He'll show you greater things than that, that you may marvel.

John 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

John 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

34 He said, "The Father worketh and I worketh hitherto." Is that right? See, then when He went away, He said, "Now, the things that I do, shall you do also (Is that right?), and even greater (because there'd be more of us, see; more places at one time), greater than this, for I go to My Father. Yet a little while, the world seeth Me no more, yet ye shall see Me. (Now, the world is the unbelievers.) Ye shall see Me (the believers), for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the age." Is that right?
Here we are. Then if He's risen from the dead, He's stood in the midst of the people. He perceived their thoughts, told them what they were thinking about. "Why think ye in your hearts these things?" Is that right?

Matthew 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

35 He said just what the Father told Him that He would do. He told Philip when he came to the line to be... Philip come up, was criticizing ... or, Nathanael, rather. He said, "Could anything good come out of Nazareth?"
He said, "You come, see." Philip did.
And when he found Jesus, why He said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile." Now, if I'd say the same thing to this woman... Whether she is Christian or not, I know not. God does. But if I'd turned to her and say, "Well, behold, here's a Christian woman, a sincere, good believer." That would be the same thing.
Why, she'd say to me, "How do you know I'm a Christian?"
I'd say, "Well..."
Now, Jesus said to Philip, "Before..." ... said to Nathanael, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree."
He said, "Thou art the son of God." Didn't He?

John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

36 He talked to a woman at the well one day, just talking to her. After awhile He caught her spirit. He found out what was wrong with her. He said, "Go get your husband."
She said, "I have none."
Said, "That's right. You got five. And he who you have now is not..."
She said, "I perceive that You're a prophet. We know that Messiah's coming, and He will do these things when Messiah comes."
He said, "I'm He who talks to you," see.

John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

John 4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

37 Now, the things that you did... Now, if Jesus Christ has risen from the dead... Do you all believe that with one accord? Well, if He has risen from the dead, then He is under obligation to produce His life in His church. Is that right? That's what He said, that these signs shall follow them to the end of the world.
Now, see then, He only does what the Father says. Now, may the good Lord of heaven bless us each.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

38 Now, I could heal no one. I could only do as God would show me what to do and what to say. To do this, it's a prophetic utterance of the Spirit that foresees what will be, what has been, and what is now. That's only by grace that God does that.
Now, lady, I just want to talk to you. If you're pretty sick, you can lean right over here. That's all right. I suppose you and I are strangers, are we? We're strangers. Yes. I've never seen you in my life as far as I knew. You might've seen me, but I never seen you.
But if we're strangers, well then, there'd have to be some way that we'd know something about each other. Is that right? God could reveal to you if He wanted to about me, or He could reveal to me about you.

39 Now, if He's here, and is risen from the dead, and I'm declaring it... Now, a man can say anything he wants to. Well, if he wants to be truthful, or honest, or what... But that's up between him and God. But if God testifies that that man has told the truth, then God is testifying of His gifts according to the Scriptures. You believe that?
You are a Christian. That's right. I was just... Something, I have a way of knowing it, you understand. And you're extremely nervous. You're suffering with a nervous condition. There's something wrong in your chest. Isn't that right? You've had an operation. But that operation was down in the lower parts of... It was a ... it was a female operation and ... appendicitis. They taken your appendix out. Is that true?

40 Is that the truth? Only God... Say, another thing: You're not from this city. You're not from this nation. You're from Toronto, Canada ... or, somewhere up along in Canada there. Aren't you? That's right. Do you believe now? Come here.
Almighty God, the Author of Life, and this poor sick woman. I pray You to be merciful to her now. And as I lay these my unworthy hands upon her, it's only in commemoration of Your Word, Lord, that I do this. And I ask that we take the initiative side just now. I in faith, she in faith, we come to meet You in prayer. And I say to the evil one that's bound her body, in the name of Jesus Christ come out of the woman and leave her. And may the God of heaven set her free. Amen.

41 Now, sister, ever what He said was true. That part, whatever it was, that was right, wasn't it? Now, do you believe me if I'd say what the future would be? You'd have a right to believe. Is that right? Now, right now, of course you're nervous because it's been an upset and just along that time of life, what's making you be nervous like that. But you go on and be happy. Don't even pay any attention to it at all. Just give God praise, and you're going to get well. God bless you.

43 Do you believe that Jesus Christ the Son of God has risen from the dead, and stands somewhere in this building, the unseen Guest here tonight? But He's manifesting Himself to let the people know that He's here. Is that right?
Well now, if He'd manifest Himself to you, then He would be able to tell you... He would know your mind, what you were thinking about. Is that right? Because He knowed their thoughts. Is that the truth? So then He could reveal to me what your trouble is. And if He would, would that be enough vindication for you to accept your healing?
Now, you're going farther away from me all the time. But you're standing near a table. And you're refusing food. Yes, you have stomach trouble. Is that the truth? Go on now and eat. God bless you. Believe with all your heart and you shall have what you've asked for.

44 How do you do? Do you believe with all your heart, soul, and mind? You believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is present to make you well? We're strangers to each other. Would you like to get over the heart trouble? May God heal you. You believe it? All right. Just go on believe that you will, and God be merciful.

45 Do you believe me with all your heart? Believe that God makes you well? Believe He will make... If I don't say one word, yet you're going to except your healing. Is that right?

46 You two are together, aren't you, sitting there in the pink dresses? You're praying. You were asking God to let me see you. I did. And you're not from this city either. You're from a country where it gets real cold in the winter time. There's lots of geese comes over the country; I see them on lakes. There's a great building, I see, rising behind you. Why, it's Mayo's Clinic. You're from Rochester. Is that right? Is that the truth?
You suffer with arthritis. You suffer with a weakness. Is that right? You don't have prayer cards, do you? Neither one of you have prayer cards? Well, you wouldn't be called up. You just go on home. Jesus Christ has healed you.
Have faith in God. You're bound to know that a supernatural Being is in the building. And that's the Lord Jesus Christ in His power to make well.

47 Sonny boy, do you believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is present now? Do you believe Brother Branham to be His humble servant? You do that? Now, just have faith. Everyone in here can be made well at one time, if you just believe. The Holy Spirit struck the woman; she believed just what I was talking about, when I said, "The Holy Spirit is here tonight, and led you here for a purpose." And that's what God has done. Do you believe that?

50 He's here for the entire audience, to bless each one of you, and to give you the desire of your hearts. You just have to believe. Have faith. God will bring it to pass.

51 Are you believing, lady? My. You believe that He will make you well? Your eyes are going bad. That's getting worse all the time. You have a heart trouble. Now, Jesus Christ has made you whole. Go on off the platform. Go believing God, giving God praise.

You asked for a condition, something wrong with one of your eyes. You've got a tumor behind the right eye. Is that right? You suffer with some kind of stiffness too. Isn't that right? All right. You can go home and get well now. In... You didn't have a card, did you? You didn't have a prayer card? No prayer card. All right. Go ahead. That's all right. All right.

Oh, the Lord Jesus Christ is wonderful, His resurrection, His power. The Pharisees couldn't understand. What they could see... He knew their thoughts. He knew what they were doing. He only could know as the Father showed Him. And what the Father showed Him, they seen was perfect every time. So they couldn't understand that. And why was He getting the people healed? They said, "Well, He's Beelzebub. He casts out devils by the prince of the devils."
And what did Jesus turn and say? "If Satan cast out Satan, his kingdom's divided." Satan can't cast out Satan. Certainly not. Only God can cast out Satan. How can a strong man enter another's house...?

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Matthew 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Luke 11:18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

56 Now, many times [unclear word] ... sometimes just speak one thing or something another wrong with the people. Maybe that's all there is wrong. Maybe there's others. But what the purpose is, is to try to get to see what all is going on with the people, to get you to believe. The main purpose that God is doing, is to try to get you to believe His Son, Christ Jesus, died and raised from the dead, and is living among you tonight, just the same as He was standing here visible, like you see me or some of these other people.
If you can do that, oh, that settles it, see. These people... The reason... When that little shock comes, that they know we're strangers... I didn't know what they did when they were little girls and boys. And well, how do I know? But mark it, how it happened, see.

57 What does it do? I don't know what their future will be. But watch what He says. Pick it up on a tape and see what He says about it. Then you'll... Watch just exactly what He says. That's just exactly what it'll be, just exactly. Go anywhere in the world where its ever been in the years and years (since a baby), and see if it's ever failed one time. There's dozens of people sitting here tonight... I don't say a dozen, but there's several sitting here tonight from Jeffersonville, from my home tabernacle. Many people has been through Jeffersonville, and ask the officials of the city, or anything you want to, and see if it ever failed one time.
Jesus Christ cannot fail. Heavens and earth will pass away, but His Word can't pass away. Now, this is His Word initially and right. That's His Word. But if He would speak anything through me, it would be secondarily. But it would still be His Word.
But if what He'd say through me, or any other man, or any other person, it would be secondarily. If it didn't compare with this Word here, it's not right. That's right. This is the foundation. So it's nothing mythical. It's just truth.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

58 You believe that, lady? My, lady, you really suffer, terrible condition. You have many things wrong with you: complications, just many things. The first thing, your eyes, one of them's about gone, the other one's cataracts. And you also ... you have a... The doctors just don't know what to do with you. Is that the truth?
I see a doctor, a little short fellow, shake his head and walk away from you. You got a floating kidney. For one thing. You got a collapsed colon. Is that right? That's what He told you. Just a minute, I didn't get what He said. And you've got a dropped stomach, asthmatic, arthritis. Is that right? Well, Jesus Christ is here to make you well right now [unclear words]. You believe that?
Lord God, I bless this woman in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, that the doctor can't do nothing: working on one they hurt the other, but, Lord, Thou can. Heal her in Jesus' name. May the Lord bless you, sister.

59 All right. Come. Believe with all your heart? You have something that makes people fear. It's a nervousness, just that time of life. Jesus Christ make you whole. Go on, rejoicing, happy, saying, "Praise the Lord Jesus."
How do you do, lady? Of course, a woman of your age would have many things. The worst thing, and what you want me to pray for you for, is arthritis. Isn't that right? Jesus, I pray that You'll heal her, Lord, and may she get up and walk off this platform, and go and live the rest of her days happy and healthy, in Jesus' name. Amen. Now, go [unclear words]. 60 Now, you believe with all your heart? Believe that Christ will make you well? Lord God, bless this woman who I bless in Thy name. May she go from here tonight happy rejoicing and be made completely whole. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen. Now, go on rejoicing, saying, "Thank you, Lord Jesus."

Are you a believer? Will you obey me as God's servant? If I will tell you what's wrong with you, then you know that God speaks. Is that right? You got arthritis. Is that right? 61 Now, brother you had the same thing. Raise up your hands and say "Praise God, the arthritis is gone." That's right. Rejoicing. All right. Raise up your hands and say, "Thank you, Lord Jesus, for healing me." Lord Jesus, heal him I pray in Jesus' name.

You come from Texas. Is that right? You believe that? The Spirit of God... And say, there's another thing: You've been ... you've been out of the country. You've been across the seas. 63 Need to get over that stomach trouble? Then go eat your supper in Jesus' name.
You believe, lady? You want to get over that female condition? It's a abscess. Go, believe Jesus Christ will make you well.

The little colored lady, sitting there, fanning; you don't have a prayer card do you, lady, sitting right here with the fan here? You don't have a prayer card. No. I seen something. Say, you've got a trouble in your side, haven't you? Isn't that right? He healed you just then, so you can [unclear words] you can be healed, see. Have faith in God.

64 You believe with all your heart? That little lady sitting there with the handkerchief on her, she's got a leaking heart. Isn't that right, lady? All right, sir. You believe Jesus healed you just then when I spoke to you. All right. You can go home and get well too. Have faith in God.
Awhile ago you had a great serious shock. You thought something happened to you. I believe that's when it happened. Amen. Believe with all your heart. God will make you well. Can't you believe that?

65 You got intestinal trouble, sitting right back there, haven't you, lady?---the third one going in that row right there. Isn't that right? You was healed right then of a colitis condition. God made you well. Amen.
Oh, it's all over the audience. Anybody can be healed.
All right, are you the patient? You believe what you see to be the truth? With all your heart you accept it? You're suffering of a terrible nervousness, aren't you? Very nervous. You've had a lot of worry, haven't you? You're studying now about somebody. It must be a ... it's a brother. You've played with him, up... And he's a alcoholic, a drinker. Is that right? Go, and may God heal you and save his life.

66 Are you ready to receive Jesus Christ? Do you believe with all your heart? If you believe with all your heart, obey me as God's prophet in His service. Stand up to your feet and say, "Jesus Christ, I believe You and accept You as my Healer right now." While I pray for these handkerchiefs. Lord Jesus, bless these, and I pray that You'll grant it, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
All right. Raise your hands to God. Raise your hearts to God. Believe with all your heart.
Now, Christians, the Holy Spirit of God that fell on the day of Pentecost, is over you. His Spirit is here to heal you. Now, have faith in God, while I ask God to make the fear and doubt leave your mind. God is under obligation to do it.

67 Lord Jesus, bless this people who I bless in Thy name. And now, may Satan, who has lost the victory tonight... He's defeated. He's exposed right here at the platform and out there in the audience, and he knows he's fighting a losing battle. So, Father, we come as Your servants to cast him out of everybody in here. Satan, come out of here in the name of Jesus Christ.

1 Good evening, friends. It's indeed a privilege to be back here tonight to minister to this audience. And tonight is Sunday night when all the churches are having services of their own. We've asked all the people that have their own churches open to stay from the church tonight--of camp meeting--so that they can attend their own church. That's our business, is to try to keep the people in their churches. And those who do not go to church, we're trying to get them to go to church.
We are very grateful for the afternoon meeting, for the souls that was brought to Jesus Christ. And we trust that you will affiliate somewhere, with some good church of your choice, and will make that your church home, and remain a Christian as long as you live. And I hope to meet you in a better land, where there will be no sorrow, no sickness. There will be no more altar calls, everybody being saved. So, may our Lord bless each one of you.

2 I think they said tomorrow night, the services will be somewhere else. I'm pretty sure. Tomorrow night, is that right, Doctor? Where? In the senior high school. If you have already announced it, I suppose. Yes, thank you. In the senior high school building, tomorrow night. And may the Lord bless you. We're trusting that it will prove to be a great meeting this coming week.
Soon we got to leave for overseas, for Africa and India, different parts of the world. I will always remember Owensboro, from this last week, of the wonderful time that we've had, believing that God will abundantly bless you.
Now, I'm just a little late. The one who come and got me was just a little sick theirself, and we had to have prayer for them before coming.

3 I wish to read a portion of the Word of God. And just a comment or two, then we will go right straight into praying for the sick. Found in Luke, the second chapter, the twenty-fifth verse, beginning:
... behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
And he came by the same instant, into the temple: and when the parents brought the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Lord, now lettest ... thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
For my eyes have seen thy salvation.
In the Acts of the apostle, in the second chapter, we read these verses, in the twenty-second verse:
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by signs, wonders, and miracles, which God did by him in the midst of you all, where you also know yourselves.

Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

4 Now, shall we bow our heads just a moment while we speak to the Author of this Word.
Our beloved Heavenly Father, we are indeed grateful to Thee, tonight, for the privilege that we have of coming to Thee in the name of Thy only begotten Son, Jesus. Knowing that when we were once alienated away from God, ugly, in the world, and sin and trespasses, but You sent Him to the earth, the lovely One, to take our place, for a propitiation of our sin. He died at Calvary to reconcile us back to the Father, the Creator of our being. And we who were once Gentiles, carried away with dumb idols, has now, in the reconciliation, brought back to God, in so much that we are called the sons and daughters of God. And it does not yet appear what we shall be in the final end, but we know we will have a body like His, free from sickness, free from sin, free from death, for we shall see Him as He is.

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

5 O God, that makes the heart of every mortal leap. That hope is within us, and so simple. Thou has made it so simple, that even the fool, You said, should not err in the way. "He that heareth My words, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life." What a loving Father we have. And we are grateful to Him who brought us to Himself by the death of His Son at Calvary.
And God, we most humbly embrace the cross, tonight, and the Christ of the cross, and confess that we're sinners, and not deserving of anything. But alone in His mercy, and on His merits, we come to offer Thee thanksgivings and praises to Thee, for what Thou has done.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

6 And now, loving Father, may You send Him tonight in the power of the Holy Spirit, and may He heal the sick. Many of your children here are sick and needy. They've gathered in from all around different parts of the nation. We pray that You will bless every church, tonight, throughout the world, where they've got the doors open, and their members are faithfully at the post of duty. Bless them. And these people here, who are scattered from one part of the country to the other, have gathered in here tonight to be prayed for. And God, we pray that You will heal them everyone. And when we leave, may we say with those from Emmaus that day, "Did not our hearts burn within us because of His presence?" For we ask it in His name. Amen.

Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

7 I just have a moment or two to speak to you, but I have such a love in my heart for Him, till it just seems as I would just have to speak a word or two for Him. I'm thinking of the text that I just read, of this aged old man by the name of Simeon. He was a priest at the temple, of a great age, about eighty years old. And a great ... a name of honor among all the people around the place. And what a person he was. What a character, renown, man of honor. And it was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, that he wasn't to see death until he seen the Christ.
Now, the Christ had been the center of all the hopes since the garden of Eden, of redemption. And all the prophets had looked forward to Him coming. And now here was a man eighty years old. Think of it. And yet, boldly confessing that he wasn't going to die until he seen the Christ. Could you imagine what the people would say about the old fellow? "Why, he's just mentally off. There's something wrong with him. He isn't ... his mind isn't right." Well, that old man at eighty years old almost ready to die now, and yet says he's going to see the Christ." And the Jews were in Roman captivity at the time of the birth of Christ, and how far away it seemed.

Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

8 And that's the way tonight. Many of you here may seem like that your time of deliverance is way away. But sometime when it seems the farthest away, and the darkest of hour, that's when you receive help from God. There's an old God-dishonoring proverb which says, "God helps those who help themselves." That's an error. God helps those who can't help themselves. If you could help yourself, you wouldn't need God's help. But God has mercy on those who cannot help themselves.
And Simeon, he wasn't ashamed of his testimony. Why? Because the Holy Spirit told him so.
Now, if I wanted to base a thought here, for a few moments, which I will for just a moment, I'm going to take the word: Expectancy. And usually a person gets what you expect. Many people comes to meetings, they go to church. Say, "Why, I didn't see nothing. I didn't expect to see anything in the first place." That's the reason you didn't see nothing. "I didn't get help. I didn't expect to." You usually get what you expect to get. If you come to the service, and you're expecting to find something to criticize, a religious service, Satan will be sure that you see it. He will show you something that you can go away and criticize the meeting.

9 And if you come expecting to get help from God, God will meet your expectancy. He always does. Wherever you go, whatever you do, what you expect brings your faith. If you come saying, "Well, there's nothing to it," that's just the way you'll go back home, with nothing to it. If you come tonight saying, "Well, if I don't get prayed for, I will go home and won't be healed," that's just the way you will go. If you come here tonight saying, "I come for one sole purpose, that is to contact Christ for my body, or my soul," you'll go home just as happy as you can be, for you'll contact Him.
Now, no matter what the opposition looks like, Christ is the answer. Faith brings Christ. Notice, could you remember? Eighty years old, white beard, white hair, and yet the old man went around telling people that he wasn't going to die until he seen the Lord's Christ. What a beautiful picture of faith. Faith knows no defeat. Faith is perfect. Faith brings things when there is no things to be brought. Faith creates. Faith takes doubt away, takes negative, and makes positive. How beautiful. The old man had a basis for faith. Faith is not mythical, something mentally worked up, it's an absolutely, fundamental result that happens in a person's heart. When faith is appropriated, then it is something in the person's heart. But it can't be based on, say, "Well, go touch a tree and you'll get well," or, "Pray to the post." It's got to have a foundation.

10 Now, here it is. I want you to get it. How much more foundation could you place your faith on any level than the Word of God? What more could you put faith in? When He said, "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never pass away." Then it is a fact that God's Word is eternal. And the very world that we're sitting on top of tonight, is nothing more than the Word of God materialized. He spoke the Word, and said, "Let there be," and the world came into existence. All things that you see was made by faith in the spoken Word of God. God said, "Let there be," and He believed His own Word. Well, after redemption, and a taste of God in our souls and hearts, how much more aught we to base our faith on what God give us the promise for and sent Jesus to die to redeem us to that promise.
Then, now look at Simeon, the Holy Spirit revealed to him that he wasn't going to die until he seen the Lord's Christ. He had a basis for it. He wasn't afraid to testify. He knowed it was going to happen.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

11 Notice, any time that God is taken at His word on those bases, it's going to bring the results that God said it would bring. Look at the little virgin Mary, down in Nazareth, wicked town, worse than Owensboro, real bad, the wickedest city in the world, and a little virgin ... Don't say you can't live right, she was a virgin living in the most wickedest city of the time. And she was a virgin. And one day, while walking with the water, in the Oriental type, if you've ever been to the Orient, they pack the water on their head. Sometimes, if they can balance it good, they have a big jar like, and they put it on each hip and pack it, the women does, coming from the virgin well, which still runs today in Nazareth.

12 And on her road up, she was engaged to a man who had been married before, and had four sons; Joseph. And on her road up along to her house, a Light shined in front of her. And in the Light stood a big Angel, Gabriel, the Archangel. And he said, "Hail, Mary. Blessed art thou among women. You've found favor with God." And told about what was going to take place. And she was going to have a Child knowing no man. And was going to call His name Jesus.
Six months before that, the same Angel came to a priest, and told him his wife, Elisabeth, was going to have a baby after his days of ministrations at the temple, Shiloh, and was going back, and he doubted it. He questioned how could it be, her being old, when he had many examples to go by, Sarah, and Hagar, many before. But this little woman didn't have no example. She just had to take God at His word.

Luke 1:18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

Luke 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Luke 1:29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

13 And here it is. Listen, audience. The girl never questioned the Angel. It had never happened in all the world. Never had there been a baby borned virgin birth. And she didn't question Him. She just took God at His word. And immediately, she begin to rejoice, and begin to testify, telling the people that she was going to have a baby, knowing no man, didn't care what the disgrace was. She didn't know how she was going to have it. She didn't wait till she was positive. She didn't wait till she felt life. She took God at His Word and begin to rejoice before anything happened. There you are.
Every man and woman that has ever breathed on this earth that's ever amounted to anything... There's been men and women who has done the very same thing, took God at His Word. She was testifying to everybody she was going to have the baby, before any visible sign. And if Mary could do that, on something that had never happened, how much more ought you and I to do it tonight on the basis of faith in God's Word, when hundreds each night are being healed? How much more should we believe it?

14 Simeon believed it. God has always had a remnant somewhere that believed it. Aren't you happy tonight to be one of His remnants? Aren't you happy that you're a believer? That God has give you grace in your heart to come and believe these things, which are fundamentally, solid Gospel?
Now, as Simeon begin to get older, still testifying, I'd imagine the people said, "The old man is... Something went wrong with him." But he believed it.
Now notice, if God has made a promise, God is under obligation to fulfill His promise to every individual that will accept that promise. Do you believe it?

15 Now, then in this time, the baby was born in Bethlehem of Judea. There's a few stargazers come up and watched it, the star come across and hung over the baby. They went and worshipped. But news didn't get spread around like it would today. And if it would happen again today, they'd just say, "Some fanatics had gathered up there." They wouldn't see much to it. They don't pay any attention to Him. They wouldn't today. They wasn't concerned. But the Angels came and sang to some shepherds on the hillside. Every time there's a king born, people sing. There was nobody on earth here to welcome Him, so a bunch of peasants, and Angels sang to Him. When you think of His coming to the earth the first time that angelic beings come down from the heavens and sung to the peasants, "Today, in the city of David is born Christ the King." Oh, my! What a visitation to the earth.
It was a Jewish law that every mother for her purification and the circumcision of the baby, as every Jew baby was born, had to be brought to the temple after eight days and circumcised.

Leviticus 12:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

Leviticus 12:3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

Leviticus 12:4 And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

Luke 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

16 Let's give a little drama so the children will get it. It's Monday morning, we see, at the temple. Oh, there's a great crowd of people. There's about two million something Jews in Palestine at that time, perhaps, maybe, two or three hundred babies were born overnight. And every day, that would mean two or three hundred babies standing up, maybe, for circumcision and so forth, of male children. Let's take it Monday morning. The temple is real busy, everybody coming and going. Down along the line stands a great long line of women waiting for the purification, circumcision.

17 Let's look down along the line, now, with a mental vision. I see standing along the line, rich women with babies with little lace handwork garments, holding a lamb, a rich baby's offering. Way down along the line, I see a little girl about eighteen years old with a veil over her face, poorly dressed, holding something in her hand, not in fine needle work, but in swaddling cloth. Swaddling cloth is what they take off the back of the yolk of an ox. When it's plowing, it'd rub it's shoulders, they put cloth on there.
And when He was born, the King of Heaven, the richest of all the world, He was born in a manger. I wonder why? He was a Lamb. Lambs are not born in houses, they're born in barns. He was the Lamb of God. He was born on a straw pile. He came in by the way of a stable door, and went out through capital punishment. The world knew Him not, and the world knows Him not yet tonight.

18 Look at Him. The lovely One, wrapped in swaddling cloth, and laying in a mother's arms with two little turtledoves for a purification, a peasant's offering. She had kind of a black name along. You know, it just kind of seemed like that all along in there there was kind of a black name followed Him anyhow. And when it come along to that time when He was walking on there with that black name following Him, what a time. Poor little Fellow. His mother had a name of having this baby by Joseph, not even being lawfully married to him yet. That didn't bother her. In her heart she knowed whose Son that was. I can see the mothers keeping their distance from her. "There's that girl," in disgrace.

19 Here it is. If I'm getting this right, so is it today. A man or a woman who really tries to live a Christian life, and abstain from the things of the world, the world backs off and says, "They're a fanatic." Every man that tries to trust God his fellow man will call him, "Goody-goody," or, "sissy," or something like that. Sissy? I don't judge men by the callous in his hand, it's by the bag of the knee in his pants, whether he bows, and prays or not. Man's not judged by statue, he's judged by character. I seen men that weighed two hundred pounds, and didn't have an ounce of man in him; ravish a mother with a baby in her arms. A man is judged by character, what he is inside.

20 Watch this case. They pass on by, but way over in a prayer room, let's think, in the temple, there was an old man sitting there reading in the Scriptures. His name was Simeon. "All we like sheep have gone astray. The Lord has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity. The chastisement of our peace upon Him, and with His stripes, we are healed." I can see Simeon say, "Wonder who that meant? Is that the Messiah?" If God has told Simeon that he was going to see the Messiah, and the Messiah for the first time was in the temple, it's God's obligation to see that Simeon sees Him. Is that right?

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

21 I can see the Holy Spirit strike Simeon. Say, "Stand up." Simeon stands up. I believe that sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. The Messiah's in the temple. I can hear the Holy Spirit say to Simeon, "Start walking." He don't know where he's going, he's just walking. Here he comes, led by the Holy Spirit, milling around through the people. Comes down along that line till he finds this little despised virgin standing there with a baby in her arms, reaches over, takes the baby in his arms, tears rolling down his white beard and says, "Lord, let Thy servant now depart in peace according to Thy Word, for my eyes have seen Thy salvation."

Luke 2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

22 At the same time, there's a blind prophetess in the temple by the name of Anna, the virgin Anna. She departed not from the temple, but was in the temple day and night, praying. And she, too, waited for the coming of the Lord. And at the same time, the Holy Spirit moved on her. And here comes old blind Anna, way in her eighties, moving by the Holy Spirit among all those people, not knowing where she was going, led by the Holy Spirit until she come and stood in front of the Christ Child and raised up her hands and blessed God.
What led you here tonight? David said, "When the deep calleth to the deep, if there's a deep in you calling..." How many here believe in divine healing? Let's see your hands. If you believe in divine healing, there's got to be a fountain open somewhere. The first thing God's Word promised us. Is that right? And if God's Word has promised it, and you are a Christian, I don't believe you come across the country, now... Coming in tonight, seeing license from Texas, and Louisiana, everywhere; you never come all this distance, leaving your own church and things tonight to sit in this little place here just to be seen. You've come because something in you is telling you that there's a fountain somewhere, open for divine healing. And the same Holy Spirit that led Simeon has led you tonight, right into this place here where Jesus Christ the Son of God, nightly makes the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the lame to walk. Do you believe Him?

Psalm 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

Luke 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

Luke 2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Luke 2:38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

23 Now, Jesus in His ministry, take a look to what He was. He wasn't a great man, or claimed not to be. He was a poor man. He didn't dress different from other men, He dresses like any other man. He was no beauty that we should desire Him, probably a little thin delicate looking Man. But when He spoke, He spoke of His Father. He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works, it's My Father that dwelleth in Me. He doeth the works." And when He passed by a bunch of cripple people one day, at the pool of Bethesda, went up, healed a man that had maybe a prostate trouble or something, went on up. The Jews questioned Him about it. And He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise." He only did as God showed Him.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

24 When He was here on earth, when the people stood by Him, He perceived their thoughts. Is that Scripture? He perceived what they were thinking of. And what did the world say about Him? Said He was the chief of the devils, the greatest of fortunetellers. They didn't recognize. Fortunetellers are not healers and so forth. Fortunetellers are people who are impersonating the dead, or something. God speaks of judgment, righteousness, salvation, power, healing. How wonderful that Jesus magnified God. When they come to Him, and said to Him different things, asked Him questions, He said, "I only do as My Father shows Me."
He went to a woman at the well. He said, "Bring Me a drink."
She questioned about Him being a Jew, and her a Samaritan, but He said, "If you knew who you were talking to, you would ask Me for a drink."
And as the conversation went on, He found out where her trouble was. And He said, "Go get your husband." That was her trouble.
And she said, "I perceive that You are a Prophet."

Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

25 Now, Jesus has risen from the dead. There's where the trouble is today. There's where the Christian church has let down today. They teach at theology, they teach the Word, but brother, the Bible ... Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth, is baptized shall be saved, and he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe. In My name they shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues, and heal the sick, and so forth." He said, "The things that I do shall you also, and greater than this shall you do, for I go to My Father."
Now, Christian friends, He has risen from the dead.
Here recently, when one of the greatest doctors of the fundamental churches today stood and had to change his subject for a Mohammedan who told him that they had just as much consolation as believing in Mohammed the prophet, as they did in believing the Son of God to be Jesus Christ. Said, "We both just believe it. Both wrote Bibles. We all believe it, so what difference does it make?" They said, "Our Mohammed never promised anything like your Jesus did." Said, "Let me see you people produce, reproduce and prove the resurrection of Christ by His life living in the church, as He said He would do, then I will believe your Christ rose from the dead." What a pity that the church has let down.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

26 Tonight, I say to you, to everyone of you, in here there's probably Methodists, Baptists, Catholic, Presbyterians, you're all mixed together. We don't tell you what church to go to, we tell you what Lord to serve; Jesus Christ. God has never at one time questioned to me about what church anyone went to. He's always... If they don't live right, He will rebuke sin, but He don't say nothing about your churches. Now, may the Lord help you tonight while we bow our heads again for prayer.
Our Heavenly Father, laying before me here lays handkerchiefs that these sick people has loved ones across the country. I pray that You will heal every one of them. And may Thy Holy Spirit come quickly, Lord, and touch these handkerchiefs and bless them for their intended purpose. And may the sick be made well.

27 And now, our Father, who raised Jesus Christ Thy Son from the dead, and has sent Him to the church, that the church might represent Him to the people, that the unbelievers might believe. May He send His great Angel tonight, and stand by Your unprofitable servant.
And may this audience that has gathered in tonight from the different parts, this little group of people, may they receive the blessings of God, and go away from here, happy and thrilled, knowing that Jesus still lives and reigns, and is raised from the dead and living among the people. Give them all eternal life, and forgiveness of sins. And grant unto Thy servant, Lord, who is unprofitable for these things, but grant me forgiveness of sins and eternal life that I might stand and intercede for the people. For I realize, Father, as I minister to the people, I am ministering unto Thee. For Thou has said, "Insomuch as you do unto the least of these my little ones, you have done it unto me." Hear me, Lord. I plead these blessings for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Thy Son. Amen.

Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

28 Pardon me for taking so long in the talking. I want perfect reverence, if you will, please. Keep your children near you. Now if I shall ask you any time to bow your head, I'd do it for one purpose, friend, for reverence. I'm not responsible for critics, or anyone disobedient. For let it be well assured as you're taught now, and know, and see with your own eyes that demonology, demons that has bound people, go from one to another. That's the Scripture.
Remember when those demons of Gadara begged Jesus to let them go into some hogs? You remember the Scripture? And many of you here from different parts of the country has been in the meetings, and have seen epilepsy come from one, go to the other, even strike them down by the many. Has anybody ever seen that in a meeting? Let's see you raise your hand just so the others sitting around might ... Yeah, that's right, many of you. It's true. It will go from one to another. So, you be reverent. Now, it's not playing church, friends. It's not a stage show. It's trying to bring to you your resurrected Lord, who died that you might have these privileges. May God grant it.

Mark 5:12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

Mark 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

Luke 8:32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Luke 8:33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

29 Now, we've give out some prayer cards, they told us back there awhile ago. We can't bring too many at a time to the platform. We can only bring a few at a time. Some of them are unable to stand, and so forth, so we just pray if you'll be patient with us, and everybody just remain right where you are, and be reverent. Keep just as reverent as you can, for every bit of it is spirits. And when the spirits moves ... out there, there's spirits, everywhere there's spirits. Every human being is a spirit, and you have to break from one dimension to another.
Now, you just draw in your mind what character--what kind of a person--Jesus Christ was. And then see if He will come to us tonight, and will manifest Himself to the church.

30 How many got the pictures yesterday? Let's see your hands around ... pictures, we don't sell them on Sunday. We respect the Lord's Day. But get one if you can. I just buy them from the studios, and let you have them. Scientifically, if I... This will be my last service tonight I ever have, Christian friends, before God, I have told the truth. And God's vindicated it to several million people around the world. It has been tried in every fiery furnace Satan has, I believe. And yet, then in the scientific world, He has vindicated it to be the truth. So, I've told you the truth, and God's testifying of the truth. And I pray that God will bless everyone of you tonight.

31 I believe they said it was prayer card F they give out. Now, it's a little card. I think it has got my picture on the front side. Turn it over, and there will be a letter F, and there will be a number on there. And now, that number on the back... Now, let's begin somewhere along there. I suppose, being a hundred of those cards, we can't bring the hundred at once, let's begin around about say, I believe last night we started in fifty, or then... Let's start about, take about eighty to a hundred tonight. That will give us about twenty to begin with.
[Gap in the audio] I believe I do recognize this... Isn't this the friends that was with me in Colorado, Doctor Ackerman and them? Isn't that...? I'm glad to see you. I didn't notice you sitting there. Glad to have you here tonight. Some friends was with me in Colorado the other day, Dr. Ackerman from Indiana, and his friends. I'm happy to see you. Course Mr. Bosworth sitting there, Dr. Bosworth from Florida.

32 But I suppose, my brother, that we're strangers you and I. We don't know each other.
Now, I want the audience to pay close attention and watch. I want you to watch the expression on the people's faces as they come near, and come up close. When the anointing of the Holy Spirit is here, no one can stand near without recognizing it.
And now, if this man, and myself, which were probably born miles apart, raised miles apart, or whatmore, years apart, we've never met in all of our life. And we just... If anything would be known, it would have to come from God. Now, whether He will or not, that I do not know. It's in His sovereign grace, if He does.

33 Now, the reason they set these two microphones here is because when the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I never know what takes place. The next day I have to pick it up on a tape recording up there, to find out what I said myself. And that's the way we catch a record on everything. Watch what He tells you, and do just exactly what He says, and I'll assure you that everything will be just the way He said.
Now be in prayer. You don't have to bow your head, unless you're asked to, and pray. Now, I must talk to this man just a little in order to contact his spirit. And I want you all to help me, tonight. And each Christian in your heart praying, because there's unbelievers sitting present. There's critics sitting present. And do you realize that I'm representing the Lord that you serve in your church? And you realize what a position it is, sometime before a hundred thousand people. I'm representing Jesus Christ. So, you who love Him, pray for me.

34 Now, my brother, it's just as our Master talked to the woman at the well. He just had a way of talking to her in order to contact her spirit. And you're standing here, a strong-looking man as far as I know. But God knows both of us, and I'm just trying to speak to you in order to contact your spirit like I... And if I am God's servant, and just a humble man as yourself, then the Angel of the Lord... Did you see the picture? Did you? And then that comes down, and that gives the anointing. And that anointing, then, does the, it does the telling. That's right.
Now, I perceive that you are a Christian. [A man says, "That's right."] You are a Christian man. ["Yes."] And you are--you are suffering with a condition of an eye, an eye trouble. And the doctors want to operate on that eye. You won't permit that. And you have been in a meeting of mine before, ["Amen."] years ago. ["Amen."] And in there, you was sitting in the audience by the side of a blind woman, and that woman received her sight. ["Amen."] And since then, you have said if you could ever get to me, that God would heal you, and cure that eye. ["Amen! Amen."] Is that the truth what was said? ["That's the truth."] That voice? ["Praise the Lord."] Well, my brother, you have reached that time. God has healed you, now. ["Thank the Lord."] Go on your road.
There's some contact with you and a lady standing down here in this audience back here. I see it's your wife. ["That's right. Praise the Lord."] She's suffering with a heart trouble. ["Amen."] Is that right? ["That's true."] All right. You can both go home and be well, now. God bless you, and He has healed you. ["Amen. Praise the Lord."]

35 Let's be very reverent. Watch with all your heart.
Come, lady. Now, if our Lord has risen from the dead, in whose place I try to represent, now, and He lives tonight. When He was here on earth at the beginning of His ministry, there was a man converted by the name of Philip. And Philip went and found Nathanael, and he said to Nathanael, "Come see who I have found, Jesus of Nazareth, whom Moses and the law spoke, the son of Joseph."
He said, "Could any good thing come out of Nazareth?"
He said, "Come see."

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

36 And as he come near where Jesus was in the prayer line praying for the sick, Jesus said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile."
And he said, "When did You know me, Rabbi, or Reverend, Teacher?"
He said, "Before Philip called you, I saw you when you were under the fig tree."
He didn't stop to say, "Mental telepathy." The thing he said, "Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God."
And when Jesus died, He said, "The things that I do, shall you also. After My resurrection, I will be with you, in you, to the end of the world." Is that right, lady?

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

37 Then we are strangers, are we? ["I met you once in Chicago."] You met me in a Chicago meeting. ["Yeah, I met you in the lobby of a hotel."] A lobby of a hotel, and just spoke to me, and went on. ["I asked you a question."] Well, how long ago has it been? ["In your last meeting."] In the last meeting in Chicago. Just spoke to me in the lobby. ["I asked you to pray for my grandson."] You did? Well, now, you know then that you're, as far as meeting thousands of people, I would know nothing from you. Now, I know you just knowed me, and I didn't know you. Of course, that's right. But, if the Lord Jesus is here to help you, He will know all about you. And if He will, in His sovereign grace, tell you what's wrong with you and what for you to do, or what you haven't done, you will believe Him?
You are suffering with something in the kidney. You have a... The doctor said it's a fallen kidney. That is true. And you are... There's somebody with you, it's a little boy. He's kind of thin, and he's got brown hair. And he can't learn in school very well. And he's kind of mentally retarded. Is that right? And you're his grandmother. And the little... Aren't you from around about Franklin, Indiana? ["Franklin, Indiana."] And you're name is Mrs. Ralph Kepler. ["Yes."] Is that right? Now, you're healed. And go lay your hand on your grandson, and he shall recover if you believe with all your heart. ["I believe with all my heart."] God bless you. May God be with my sister, and help her, in Jesus Christ's name I ask it. God bless you, mother.

38 The word Amen means "so be it." Could the audience to Jesus Christ say, "Amen"?
Would you come? You come a believer. All right, sir. There seems to be something around you. Yes, you've just been healed of stomach trouble. Isn't that right? And you're so happy about it, until you've come to pray for an old woman. It's your mother. And she has kidney trouble, rheumatism, and arthritis. Go lay your hand on her, and call the name of Jesus Christ, and may God bless you, my brother. God bless you.
Be thankful, and be grateful to God. Are you believing? Believe with all your heart, and God shall bring it to pass.
How do you do, lady? I suppose we are strangers, too. God knows us both, doesn't He? Only God can help you. But if I be His prophet, by His grace, He has sent me to help you. Do you believe that? And you are a Christian. And the trouble of your body is about the head. You've just had an operation. And it won't heal up right. Isn't that the truth? [That's right."] Was that the truth? ["Yes."] See, I don't remember. Sometimes it's a vision. I'm looking at something else it's another dimension. Just a moment. There was something else I seen. Oh, you are concerned about someone else being healed. It's your husband. He has a high blood pressure, and something wrong with his eyes. Is that right? Is that the truth? Come here just a moment. Jesus Christ, the Son of God said, "These signs shall follow them that believe." Do you believe I believe it? ["Yes."] " If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." Is that true? ["Yes."]
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed by Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven. Send Thy blessings upon this woman who I bless, in Thy name, and may her heart be made happy. And may she be healed, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Now, go rejoicing, going happy, believing with all your heart. God bless you.

Yes I do."] You are suffering with a nervous condition, and kind of a sinus. ["Yes, that's right."] Isn't that right? Say, you're a minister. You're a preacher. ["Yes, that's right."] And you used to pastor a church. Since getting sick, you kind of have your service at home. ["Yes, that's right."] And you come from a wooded country, too, rolling hills. It's Indiana. ["Yes, that's right."] And the beginning is like O-d-e-a-n, Odeana, something, Odeana, or Odean, is that right? ["Oden."] Oden? Do you believe me to be His prophet, now? ["Yes, I do."] All right. You're finished with your sickness. Go home and take up your church, and start pastoring again in the name of Jesus Christ and be healed. Amen. God bless you, my brother.
Just be reverent.
God bless you, sister. The heart trouble left you when you was crossing there, so you just go on off the platform. Be thankful and grateful.

40 Sir, you sitting there, saying the prayer, you was surprised, wasn't you? Aren't you a Gospel preacher, too? You are. You have something to do with a Baptist church. Is that right? I'm not reading your mind, but see, your life you can't hide, now. That's your wife sitting there. You're suffering from a nervous condition. She's suffering with a mental distress. Is that the truth? You were praying then, "God, let Brother Branham see a vision over me." Is that right? That's the truth. Put your arm around your wife.
Lord Jesus, may Thy mercy come to them both, and may they be healed, live happy together, and serve Thee the rest of their days, in the name of Thy Son we ask it. Amen.

Are you praying everywhere?

41 If you will believe God, you will never go blind. You believe it? A hardening of the nerves in the eyes. You got a female disorder, a real nervous condition which caused by the menopause. Do you believe Christ healed you? [The lady says, "Yes."] But you're wanting me to put my hands on you. That's what you're asking for. I'm not reading your mind, but that's true. ["Lord, I believe it."]
Lord Jesus, heal her, and may she go now and be perfectly well, for I cast out the evil spirit, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
God bless you, sister. Go rejoicing and thanking God, and be made well.
Would you come, lady? Do you believe that God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for your sins and for your sickness? For your sins, you have accepted it. And you are a Christian, member of a church. You suffer with a kidney trouble, a poisoning in the kidney. Is that true? Will you accept Him now as your healer? Then you can be well. Go home. Jesus Christ makes you well, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

42 Come, my brother. Do you believe Him with all your heart? Look at me just a minute. Do you believe me to be His prophet? I'm just your brother, as far as that's concerned. But now, the Holy Spirit has anointed me. Therefore, He shows me what He will. Between you and I, sets a table, and you're walking away from it, refusing food. You got stomach trouble, an ulcerated stomach causing you great trouble. Do you believe now, and believe that Jesus makes you well? Go eat what you want to. Jesus Christ makes you whole. Testify and tell the people what great things God has done.
Lady, one chance for you to live from the cancer, is God to heal you. Is that right? You realize that your living in your last day, unless God have mercy. Jesus said, "In My name, they shall cast out devils." Do you believe that?
Thou demon called cancer, I adjure thee by the Son of God, Jesus Christ, that you leave the woman. Come out from her. Now, look here. You've been told you can't live but a little while. Within the next seventy-two hours, you're going to get real sick and start vomiting. When you start doing that, know I've told you the truth. Keep testifying of your healing. God bless you.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

43 Would you come, lady? Look this way with all your heart. Believe with all your heart. Between you and I, drop white blots of blood. You're diabetic. Calvary has a transfusion for you, my sister. Do you believe it? Do you accept it? ["Yes."]
Almighty God, Creator of heavens and earth, give to our sister life, tonight. And may she be healed, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen. Go rejoicing. Go thanking God. You will get well and be all right.

44 Come, lady. Do you believe with all your heart? You're in a worse condition than you think you are in. You have heart trouble. It's not just a make-believe. You have a blockage in your heart. You know you can't live without God. That kills more people ... [Gap in the audio.] If you can hear my prayer for you, will you serve Him all the days of your life? Come here, my sister.
Our Heavenly Father, I bless this Your child. Satan has determined to take her life, and send her to a premature grave. But Lord, she stands now, believing. And I rebuke this evil spirit that's taking her life. May it leave her, in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
Now, sister, I don't know what your trouble was, what He told you. But whatever it is, it's gone. Go on your road and rejoice and be happy, and thank God for your healing. All right.

45 Fear not, sister. God is with you. Now, anything can happen. Be reverent.
You got heart trouble. And only God can heal you. You accept it, now?
Jesus of Nazareth, be merciful to her. I pray that You will heal her, and take these diseases from her, and may she go and be made well in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ I ask it. Amen.
Now go, thank... He that knows hearts. And you go on rejoicing now. God bless you. Go believing.

46 Is everyone happy? Let's say, "Thanks be to God." Now, everyone just...
All right, sister. That's the way to have faith. Go rejoicing, thanking God. Be made well in the name of Jesus Christ. Have that kind of slow, steady faith. It pays for you. God bless you. It's left you, now. That drainage and all has gone.
Just a moment. Be reverent. The Angel of the Lord has left the platform. It's moved to the audience for something. Everyone reverent, now, when you're praying.
It's a woman. She's sitting right there praying. She has bronchitis. Raise up, sister. He has made you well, now. You can go home. God bless you. Have faith in God.

47 Just a moment. There's a Light standing over a couple. Sir, don't you suffer with phlebitis? Isn't that right? Stand to your feet just a moment. You are from out of town. You're thinking about somebody. You've got somebody on your mind. It's a friend of yours that's got arthritis. Isn't that true? And you don't know whether to bring him to the meeting or not. There's some discussion. And his wife is a believer. And he is not exactly a believer. And you, yourself, need Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Isn't that right? And don't you come from a place somewhere around about Elkhart, Indiana? Isn't that right? If it is, raise your hand. You now accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour? You renounce sin in your life, and will go back home now and live a Christian life? God will heal you of the phlebitis. God bless you. Go home, and may God be with you. You are a Christian, now, as a believer. Have faith in God.
Believe! Don't doubt!

48 You want to get over that eye condition? Go believing with all your heart, and God will make you well.
Have faith in God. Do you believe Him with all your heart?
You have a rupture, don't you, sir? Is that your sister sitting next to you there that has heart trouble? If you believe with all your heart, you can be healed. Both go home, be made well. God bless you.
Bring the lady. God bless you, lady. You was healed of that heart trouble when you was passing by there. Go on off the platform. You're well.
Let's say, "Thanks be to God."

49 Now, will you bring the next patient, please? Come this way, lady. Believe with all your heart. Do you believe with all your heart? Believe that God will make you well? ["Yes."] If I be His servant, I can't heal you, but I can by the help of God know what's wrong with you.
You've had a heart trouble for a long time. It's caused from a nervous condition--caused you to have a nervous heart. When you lay down at night, you smother so much, especially after eating. It creates a gas in your stomach that pushes it up. It's really not a heart trouble. You think it is, but it's a nervous condition that's come on since menopause started way back in a young woman. Is that the truth? ["Yes."] That's the truth. Never seen you in my life. ["No."] Well then, if God knows what your life is, doesn't He know what it will be? Do you accept Him now as your healer? ["Yes."] Then it won't bother you no more. It will leave you. Go in the name of Jesus Christ. I bless you for your healing.

50 Now, everybody just reverent. Believe with all your heart, now. Now, have faith in God. Don't doubt. If you believe, all things are possible to them that believe. What do you think up there in the gallery? Do you believe with all your heart? What do you think over here in the gallery? Do you believe with all your heart? What about out through here? Are you believing with all your heart?
Reverend, sir, don't you have a ruptured heart trouble there? And your wife sitting next to you with the little green dress on has a heart trouble, don't you? That's right. The baby, that's your granddaughter, isn't it? Grandchild. Isn't that your father sitting back there? Isn't that right? You're little baby's suffering too, isn't it? You're wondering whether it's epilepsy or not. It has some kind of spells. It's a nervous convulsion. Put your hand over on your baby.
Almighty God, the woman who bore this baby to the earth, your servants the doctors has failed on this, but Thou will not fail. And may it be healed. I rebuke the evil spirit on that infant. In the name of Jesus Christ, may it leave the child. Amen.
God bless you. Don't fear about the baby no more.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

51 How do you do, sir? Now, there's something strange about you, sir. Satan has desired to take your life. You're all tore up. You think you've sinned away your day of grace. You think your life is ruined. Do you love Jesus? What makes you love Him? Before there could be anything to make you love Him, there has to be a Creator to create the love in your heart. Is that right? If you'd sinned away your day of grace you would hate Jesus. But you love Him, and you're all right. And the Devil is just lying to you. You're nervous. Come here and I will cast him away for you, if you believe. Do you believe it?
Bow your head, and keep your heads bowed, everyone, till you hear me say, "Raise up." This is demonology.
Almighty God, be merciful to the boy. He stands here, and Satan's trying to get him to get in this condition to commit suicide. But Thou art here to relieve the boy, and to make this evil spirit go. And Thou has said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. In My name, they will cast out devils." Then upon the authority of God's Word, as a believer, I now ask the spirit that's on the boy of unbelief, to leave him. Go out in the name of Jesus Christ, and bother him no more. And I set him free, and may the enemy be bound and leave this room, and torment no one else, in Jesus Christ's name.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

52 Now, you're all right. Now, you may raise your heads. Feel all right now, son? Is that right? Devils. You would have committed suicide in a few days. That was on his mind. He thought he'd sinned away his day of grace. When he come up, a real black, heavy, like a fog, meeting me in the face. That's devils. The boy is free, now. He feels happy. Are you believing with all your heart?
You have a back trouble, don't you, sir? The man sitting there with the brown suit. Isn't that right, sir? You have a back trouble. Isn't that your wife sitting right out there at the end? She has colitis in the colon. Isn't that right? Something in the colon. And both of you come from Canada, from Toronto, Canada. Is that right? You're going home healed, both of you. God has blessed you.

53 The man right over the top of her back there with the blue shirt on, you want to get over the rheumatism, be made well? Stand up to your feet and raise your hands up and down. You're healed. Jesus Christ has made you well. Have faith in God. Don't doubt.
How do you do, sir? We are strangers, I suppose? Between you and I is a pulpit. You're a minister. And you're suffering with a stomach trouble. You've been to different doctors. One said it was an ulcer, and the other one said it was a rupture. You've got someone you're interested in. It's a brother-in-law, I believe. He's hard of hearing, he's seeking the Holy Spirit, or needs the baptism of the Spirit. Is that the truth? All right. Go home and get well. Eat what you want to. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, make my brother every whit whole. Amen.

54 Do you believe? I don't see why, there's men and women everywhere can't believe on Jesus Christ at this time, when there's so many things taking place out in the audience. I can't even see them no more. Every person in here can be healed right now. Do you believe it?
Lady, you won't have to lay in that stretcher. You can get up and go home. Every one of you that believes on Jesus Christ, will you lay your hands over on one another. Lay your hands on each other while we have a prayer. I'm so weak I can't hold myself.

55 Lord, my breath is about to leave me. Visions tearing me down, but O God, be merciful, Father. Heal all the needy here, dear God. May they go to their homes happy. May the lame get up and walk. May all sickness be healed, and all the demons that's binding Your people be cast away out into darkness. May this be a memorial time for many here. For Thou art here and declaring Yourself to be the same yesterday, today, and forever.
And now, Lord, as I stand here in Your stead, standing, representing You and Your vicarious suffering at Calvary's cross. And under the authority of the Holy Spirit, I now rebuke every unclean spirit, every sickness that's binding the people in this building. May every demon leave the people, and come out of them. Thou demons that has bound these, the people of God, you have no right to hold them any longer. I charge thee by Jesus the Son of God that you leave every one of them.
