As the eagle stirreth up her nest

1 [Brother Sullivan reads Deuteronomy 32:1-12 as Brother Branham requested.] Thank you, Brother Sullivan. You may be seated. Thank you so much for that fine invitation to come back again and be on your fellowship here.
I would like to say that I have never had a meeting at anytime in my life that I have enjoyed any more than what I have this one. I didn't know that you had this wonderful lovely fellowship here in Ohio like this. And I'm so glad to be here with you.
And I certainly want to thank my gracious friend, Brother Sullivan, that I have learned to love as a Christian gentleman. I like a man that's just man.
Wife and I were in a little restaurant today, eating, and he came in. And after we had gone out, she said, "Brother Sullivan appears to be such a ... just a real person."
I said, "That's the way I found him, just a real person."

2 God bless you, Brother Sullivan, and your little church. And the members of his church that's here, you're fortunate to have a pastor like Brother Sullivan. To you brothers here, I've never got to meet many of you that's cooperating here in the meeting. Each one knows your pastor, and these here. Your pastor represented himself here, because that he believes in this kind of a ministry. So you be thankful for your pastor. And you should always be at your post of duty. Stand clear and clean for Jesus.

3 And I also want to thank this manager, whatever his title is, that let us have this Chatauqua grounds. This has been a nice meeting. That we have gathered here where it's cool, and in a building, it would have been so hot. But we had the privilege of sitting under this canopy here. And so we're very thankful to the man.
And all the brethren and sisters, and friends of mine from down home in Jeffersonville, and Louisville, and around, they tell me that they can get the finest meal here for about ninety cents; about one third of what you'd pay for a hotel room, they get it here, fine accommodations. They've got their skating rink and swimming pool so far back that it doesn't interfere with the speaking service. It's a perfect place for this type of meeting.
We thank God that there's still open doors like this in America. And this is one of them. May it stand till Jesus comes for the same principles.

4 And now, for my wife, and all my staff, and myself, we appreciate your fine cooperation, and for the money that you have given, so it would be possible to pay off all the debts. Everything is clear, cleared up last night. And they told me they gave me a love offering tonight. I'm grateful for that. I never come for that. But I put that in on foreign missions.
I work on a salary from my church. I get seventy-six dollars a week after everything's taken out, from my church. A hundred dollars is what I'm allotted, fifty two hundred a year. And the meetings, what the love offerings does, is going to foreign missions to help the heathen, where my heart... And when I get enough built up in a fund to send me overseas to preach, where I know that I will have to answer at the day of judgment for what money the people give to me, then... I might give it to many fine societies: Red Cross, and all the others, and the Red Feather, and many missionary societies. But knowing that I'm going to have to answer for it... And I do not belong to any denomination, not because I don't believe in them, I do. But because I don't belong to them, I can stand in between them all, and say we are brethren.

5 My ministry is a ministry trying to unite the body of Christ together, not unite denominations to one denomination, but unite brothers and sisters as one group of people, one in purpose, one in heart, one in unity, to see the coming of the Lord Jesus.
I believe that the most need tonight for divine healing, which we know... And look at these cots and stretchers and so forth. And I don't see one that was here last night, is here tonight. Every cot, stretcher, and everything emptied up last night. Blind received their sight. Lame, cripples, arthritics, and things, got up and walk away, well. May it be so tonight with you, my dear friends, who's sitting there. That's my sincere prayer.
Just a few moments ago, hobbling along behind the curtain, when I was standing there shaking hands with some of my friends, a little girl put me in mind of the one in Finland. She was polioed. She had braces over her limbs and walking with crutches. She passed by and looked up, and tears come in her little eyes. I hugged her up in my arms. And as certain as I'm standing in this pulpit, that child will walk without the crutches, or assistance. Her attitude and her approach, see. It's your attitude.

6 You have to come with the right kind of an approach to God. If you come selfish, if you come in any other approach but the right mental attitude towards God, or any divine gift, you'll never receive any benefits from it. You've got to come with your surrendered all to God.
Look at the Syrophenician woman when she was told by Jesus... "It's not right for me to take the children's bread and feed you dogs." What would you have said if He'd have called you a dog? You'd have said, "I will join the next church." But not her. She knew who she was talking to. She said, "Lord, that's right. You're so right in that. But the dogs is willing to eat the scraps under the Master's table."
That got Him. That was it. That's what He's waiting for you to do. Humble yourself into such a place, no matter how God sends it to you... If you're healed instantly, if you're healed by degrees, if you're put off for... Like Abraham was twenty-five years waiting for the promise. But instead of getting weak, he got stronger all the time, giving praise to God. Just so that you know that God promised it, and you accept it for yourself; it's got to come to pass.

Matthew 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Matthew 7:28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and cast it to dogs.

Matthew 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

7 Just remember now, as I go on record in these tapes... I say this with all my heart: That if any persons will take the right mental attitude towards any divine promise that God has made, it'll bring it to pass. If you could take the right attitude towards what He said, it'll bring it to pass. I've seen sarcomas cancer leave people by that same thing. Now, maybe you won't be able to receive enough just to deliver you all of a sudden.
But I might say tonight, just closing, I want to talk to you a moment and say this: If you can't receive enough faith to be healed instantly, then you take the adopted baby route. Did you ever hear of adopting a baby?

8 Now, if you take a young woman: She'll maybe be married (she and her husband) and she's scared she isn't going to have a baby. She wants one. And she's so scared she won't have it, she won't. Because just like Job said, "The things that I've feared the most come upon me." But you take that same woman... Now, if there's doctors, which there probably is sitting by, nurses. You take that same woman and let her adopt a baby, then she will have one herself, see. It quietens her.
Now, if you haven't got enough faith to receive it right now as a miracle, then take the adopted baby attitude. "Lord, it's mine because You promised it. I will go from here tonight praising You just the same as I was well." Watch what happens; you'll receive it. It has to happen; God promised it.
So, He's the infinite God. And if you can feel just a least little speck of faith that tells you that you'll be all right, you believe it. And just go on thanking Him for it.

Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

9 And then, you remember, they hadn't received the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. But they were ten days up there thanking the Lord and praising Him for the promise of the Holy Ghost. And then all of a sudden, it came like a rushing wind. So, you believe that with all your heart. Just remember that.
The little boy in the wheelchair, the little colored lad... A fine looking young fellow sitting here, looking at me on a pillow, the little white boy sitting there. This young man laying here on this stretcher, to you out there that's dying with heart trouble, may not live through the night if God don't help you; tubercular, cancer eaten, whatever you may be, if the doctor has given you up, don't lose courage. God is still on the throne. You can believe that, and accept that... I've never seen it fail. I'm fifty years old, been in the ministry thirty years, prayed for millions of people and I've never seen it fail. When a true heart comes to God, and believes with all that's in you, having faith that He will do it, He will do it.

10 Thank you for your kindness, for the offerings and for all you've done. I don't know how to say any more than, "God bless you." And to me, that's the greatest word there is. If God will bless me, everything else will be all right, as long as God blesses me.
Now, we've got to leave in a few moments to Jeffersonville. Tomorrow is services down at the Tabernacle. I don't guess I'll get to be there. And to you, my... We got many here from Jeffersonville. And I don't guess I will get to be there. But next Sunday, the Lord willing, I will be there.

11 And now, you... Just as soon as I can, I'm leaving for overseas: for Sydney, Australia, and New Zealand, Siam, into Africa. I want to meet my good friend, Brother Thoms here, that spoke to you this afternoon. Thank you for your kindness to him, and your support. I love little Tommy here, and he's my brother. And I aim to be with him this coming spring in South Africa. I wonder if you'd do me a favor: If you'll pray for me, that's the greatest thing I know to do, is pray for me. And when I'm in Africa, other places, and when I minister like this, witch doctors don't stand back to challenge it, them holy men in India and so forth. But I've never seen a time but what God always rode over the enemy. I'm always depending on your prayers as I go. So, pray for me. I will be praying for you.
And if I never meet you again this side the river (I hope I do.)... But if I don't, I want an appointment with you just as soon as we cross over, a thousand years apiece with each one of you. We will sit down by the evergreen tree, and there we'll talk of the Chatauqua up here in Ohio. God bless you till then.

12 Now, Brother Sullivan, I wanted him to do something in my meetings, and I had him to read a Scripture tonight ... or, a chapter, the most of it. And I want to speak tonight, for just a short time on the subject, found in Deuteronomy 32:11. I wanted to take the first phase of that 11th verse that Brother Sullivan has just read: "As The Eagle Stirreth Up Her Nest."
Now, let us bow our heads just a moment for prayer. How many would like to be remembered in prayer tonight, just raise up your hands and say, "God, remember me."? He knows your heart. Thank you.

Deuteronomy 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

13 Gracious Lord, we humbly come now in the name of the Lord Jesus, knowing that we have no name or no righteousness that we could offer to Thee. But we come humbly, believing that You will hear us, because He has told us, "Ask the Father anything in my name, I will do it." Then, Lord, our motives and objectives is also connected with this. And search our hearts, and see if it be anything evil, or prejudiced in any way.
Only for the glory of God we ask You to pour out Your Spirit upon us, Lord, tonight, in the deepest measure that You've ever poured it upon us. There are sick and afflicted here also that are sitting under great expectations. Perhaps, their first night of being here, and has never seen sick people healed as they have faith to believe. Maybe they have never seen the promise of the Lord Jesus made manifest. But O God, grant tonight that their hearts will be thrilled beyond measure, that the Holy Spirit will get a hold of them and give them divine faith, and will anchor in them of faith that will not take "no" for an answer, but they will be delivered from their sickness and affliction, every one of them.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

14 Lord, we would not forget to pray for these fine ministers of the Gospel: Brother Sullivan, and all the others who have stood by faithfully in this meeting. We pray that You'll increase their ministry, Lord. May they go tomorrow to their pulpits with a fresh anointing. May they preach the Gospel like they never have before. May every member's heart be charged with power of faith. May great signs and wonders accompany their ministry, showing forth the near coming of the Lord Jesus.
We would not forget those who are bedfast in convalescent homes and in hospitals, that could not get out to the meeting. Lord God of mercy, You still have angels at Your command, and You can send them to their bedsides. And we pray, God, that You'll do it, and heal the sick and the afflicted.

15 Save all that's lost, Lord; fill those with the Spirit that has not yet been filled. And we pray for every denomination and every church in the land. May there come a time when our hearts are melted together as one for the coming of the Lord Jesus.
Be near us now; bless Your Word as it's been read. And may the Scriptures be fulfilled tonight that said, "My Word will not return void, but it will accomplish that which it was purposed for." Grant it, Lord, for we ask it in the name of Jesus, Thy Son. Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

16 Now in a few minutes, as soon we speak to you just a little on the Word, I wish that every sinner tonight would be ready, and would have faith to accept Jesus as your Saviour.
Now, I was asked the other night, by some of the boys... I spoke on the subject once, over in Kentucky, and I believe once at my Tabernacle: "As The Eagle Stirreth Her Nest And Fluttereth Over Her Young." We all know it pertains to Jacob, as the brother has just read the holy writing. And when I read this one time, I began to think, "Why did God liken His heritage to eagles?" But He had a reason for it. And you know, Himself, He likened Himself to an eagle too. He's Jehovah Eagle.

17 And I went to studying on the eagle, as my first Bible was the outdoors. I was a little boy, my parents were not Christians. And the only Bible that I had was watching the outdoors, how that animals, and how that life, how a flower would go down into the dirt, rise up again in spring. How that sap in a tree would go down into the roots in September, before any snow. There has to be some great intelligence run that sap in the ground. If it did not, it would freeze up in the tree, and it would die.
What is it that governs the tree, that makes it hold its sap in the roots where it's warm, and then bring it back into the spring, and produce fruit and stuff again? It's beyond any shadow of doubt: There has to be something do it. And it's not something just by nature, because it's an intelligence.

18 And how the trees differ from each other. I've watched the bird life and the animal life, and seen them how they would live and how that God cared for them.
Then I went to studying the eagle. And I learned that there's forty different kinds of eagles. Many of them... The word eagle means a "tearer with the bill." And learning that there's forty different types of eagles...
And the eagle is not a vulture. He kills his meat. He eats his own prey.

19 And then I noticed that also, an eagle is a bird that soars high. There's not a bird in the earth that can follow an eagle. He goes so high... If the hawk would try to follow him, he'd just disintegrate in the air. And he hasn't got a eye to no ways compare with the eagle. And now, the eagle could fly so high, that if another bird tried to follow him, he would die before he got half way to him. And then in order to go so high, he has to be a special built bird. His birth and all about him has to be something special to stand that altitude.
And so is the church. The man that's borned again of the Spirit of God is a special built born person. It take a special birth to stand it, to stand the spheres, and the glory, and the power that God leads His children into.

20 And then his eye is so keen. If he'd go so high, and he cannot see when he's up there, his altitude wouldn't do him any good. But he can see farther than any other bird.
Therefore, God likened His prophets unto eagles. For higher you go, the further you can see. And the prophet rises into a sphere to go way so high until he sees things coming, then comes back and warns the people.
Then again, the eagle also is equipped with two great powerful wings. And the feathers, you could not pull out with a pair of pliers. Oh, they have to be tight, or when he gets up into that altitude and them storms, they would come out, and he'd fall. So he's got two wings. And I'm going to liken those two wings to the New and Old Testament that Jehovah Eagle spreads out before us.

21 And also, this eagle renews his youth. Now, when an eagle gets so old, something happens to him. And then he comes back again as a young eagle. Oh, in the mountains I've watched them and been amazed at them, how that he renews his youth every so often. And I'd say that that would be the revival.
I remember the first Pentecostal revival I was ever at. I was a young Baptist preacher. And I was at Mishawaka, Indiana. And they where having a conference. And I believe that the denominations was called, "P.A. of W.," and, "P.A. of J.C." You might, some you people (Pentecostal) might remember those.

22 I come down the street. And I went in to hear this revival, I thought. And when I did, he said, "All preachers come to the platform." There was about three hundred of us there. I'd been listening that day to fine young preachers preaching about the coming of the Lord Jesus, and all about what He did on earth. And they were scholars, and gentlemen, and Spirit-filled men. Of course their church manners wasn't very good. They screamed, and shouted, and carried on. I didn't understand that.
But then that night, when he had us all on the platform, and he said, "We have chosen tonight, Elder So-and-so," an old colored man. And here, the poor old crippled fellow come out on the platform. I don't know he was crippled. But he had a long preacher's coat on, the old fashion with a velvet collar, and... I believe we used to call it "pigeon tailed coat," claw-hammer coat, way down. And he just had a little rim of white hair around his neck. And the pour old fellow come out something like this to the platform. And he took his text from over in, I believe, Job 7, reads something like this, "Where was you when I laid the foundations of the earth, when the morning stars sang together, and the sons of God shouted for joy?"

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

23 And me about twenty-three years old, youngest preacher on the platform. I thought, "What would they do to put an old man like that up there before about fifteen hundred people, when they got all those fine young scholars." But he changed from what the boys had been preaching on. He preached on what went on in heaven, while that day they preached on what went on in earth.
He'd been preaching about ten minutes. And he begin to bring Him all across the heavens, and coming on the second coming, down the horizontal rainbow. And about that time something struck the old gentleman, and he jumped up into the air, and clicked his heels together, and hollered, "Whoopee!" He said, "Glory to God!" And he had as much room as there is here. Tipped off that platform like a young man, said, "You've not got enough room up here for me to preach."
I said, "If it will do an old man like that, what would it to for me? I want what he's got." It renews your youth.
The eagle renews his youth every so often. And he's a special bird all around. God makes him thus. And I have great honor for him.

24 And about five years ago, I was down to your fair city here in Cincinnati. I brought my little girl, was up for the zoo. And wife taken the oldest girl, Rebekah, and she taken her over to one side to see some kind of a little monkey, was in a room. I didn't like to smell of that place, so I told her, Sarah and I would go down below the hill.
And I heard something a bouncing and beating. And I walked up there with little Sarah, about three or four years old. And I held her by the hand. She said, "Oh, daddy, such a huge bird." And an eagle is the largest among the bird family. Sometimes the big mother eagle, which is larger than the father, they stretch fourteen feet from tip to tip.

25 And someone had captured this big eagle, and had put him in a cage. And that poor fellow, I never felt so sorry. If I could have bought him, I'd have bought him. And he had no feathers on his face or on his head. On the ends of his wings was all beat off, and he was bleeding. And the big fellow, was laying on the floor. And he got up, walked back the other side of the cage, and he run and lifted those big wings, and threw himself against those bars only to beat his head and his wings. Fell back on the floor again, rolled his head, went back again... Here he come again, and he flew upward, and he beat his head and wings flying, till the blood was running out. He fell back to the floor, laid...
And I looked at his weary eyes, as he rolled his eyes and looked around towards the skies. I thought, "What a pity." He's a heavenly bird. He was built, and made, and born, and generated to fly in the heavens. But he's caged." Some smart intelligent trapper had caged him and caught him. I thought, "That's the most pitiful sight that I ever seen." I could take weeks of wages and buy that poor fellow and turn him loose, because he wasn't made for a cage. He was made to be free in the air. I thought that was horrible.

26 Then my mind changed, when I stood and looked at the sons and daughters of God, who were born to be sons and daughters of God, walking around dressed immorally, smoking cigarettes, drinking. It's more pitiful to see as a son of God, that was born to be a son or daughter of God, slaved by the world, than it is to see the eagle in the cage.
The world has caged people up. Denominational barriers keeping them from the thing that God put them on earth to be: sons and daughters of God. And that's a pitiful sight, to see human beings that's helpless, seemingly, bound by sin, and merely beating their brains out flopping around from beer parlor to beer parlor, from place to place, and from amusement to amusement, trying to find satisfaction, when God alone has the satisfaction that can satisfy them.
God made a man to thirst after Him. There's a reason man has something in him to thirst; God put that thirst in you. But you can't satisfy it with the things of the world. You'll never be satisfied till God takes that place.

27 God likened His eagles ... or, His heritage to His eagles. Let's take what the eagle does. Another thing the eagle does... And when he builds his nest, he builds it way high. I've watched them when they get to the highest point that they can get to, to build their nest.
That's likened unto the church of the living God. It makes its stand for the highest ambitions, and the highest thoughts, and the holiest things, away from the earthbound things. That's where the church takes her stand, on the highest pinnacle she can stand on: That's on Calvary, the cross of the Lord Jesus.

28 The eagle puts his nest up there. How different from his denominational brother, the chicken. The chicken builds his nest anywhere. Yet, you can't say he's not a bird; he is. But he don't know nothing about the heavenlies; he's never been up there. He don't know nothing about it.
There's men and women who profess to be Christians, who walk around in the scratching of the barnyard of some cold, formal indifferent place. And they don't know what it is to be lifted up into the Spirit of God by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It would kill him. He isn't built for it. He can't take it. He's got to be borned again by the Holy Spirit, that changes his whole make-up, and makes him a new creature in Christ Jesus. You're changed from the creature that you are, when you are borned again of the Spirit of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

29 Another thing, the chicken is unconcerned about the brood. He builds his nest on the ground. And the rats, the mice, the weasels, the snakes can get them.
That's what loose preaching does: letting people go to the rock-and-rolls, and wear ... women wearing these immoral clothes, deacons smoking cigarettes. It takes them into the rats and the mice of hell that scrams their souls and condemns them. A preacher, or a denomination, or a church that would try to build a congregation on anything less than the solid Rock of God's Word, you're wrong, and your members will perish, and you'll perish with them.

30 But the eagle's going to see different to that. He goes so high that if a rat tried to climb it, he'd break his neck. I love that. God takes His children so high above the things of the world, the rats can't climb to it. It's a different bird. And he's made different. He protects his little ones.
And a true pastor of the living God will never stand still in a pulpit, but what he will preach the unadulterated truth of God. If he has to run all the chickens out, he'll stand on the unadulterated Word; not on the rock of Gibraltar, but the Rock of Ages. Then it's faith. Faith cannot rest upon the shifting sands of men's theology. But faith takes its eternal stand upon the unchangeable and unshakable Rock of Ages, and can stand there while the waves is beating the bottom of it out. And a grave is open, and look across the sea to Him that said, "I am the resurrection and life," saith God---stands there.
Notice, the chicken is different. His habits are different. His diet is different.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

31 Then this eagle, before he builds this nest, he first he finds a place to build it. And then when he goes to build it, he carries great big heavy sticks. Because sometimes he goes into a cleft in the rock. The eagle usually hunts a cleft.
And the true church of the living God will get into the cleft of the side of Jesus, the Rock of Ages. "Where, upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it," or no rats of the world will touch it, scalawags and so forth of the world that brings in and draws back. God sanctifies His people, and fills them with the Holy Ghost, and places them up. They're different.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

32 And then the eagle, when he gets all these big sticks gathered around... Oh, they're architects. You should see one build his nest. How he takes the ends of them, and pushes them down into the little crevices. And then when he gets that done, he goes out and gets long briars, great big thorns, and he weaves through that nest, so them sticks won't move. But of course, then it's full of stickers. Then he goes out and gets rabbit skins, that he has eaten the rabbit. Gets lamb's skins where he had eaten the lambs. And he takes it up there, and takes his beak, and he pushes it down. And he makes it real cozy.
That's the way God does for His people. Do you remember when you were first coming to the living God? I remember the night when I received Christ as my personal Saviour. It was so soft; I thought I was walking on air. I was converted in an old coal shed. And when I come in, I didn't know nothing about shouting or praising the Lord. So, I felt so good I didn't even touch a board coming up from the shed to the house. I grabbed a song book and begin to look at it, and my Bible, and begin to read.
And Mother said, "What you so nervous about?"
I said, "Nothing."

33 I went out behind the house; there was a railroad track run down a levy. And I got out on the railroad track, and I thought it's time for me to go to heaven. I jumped just as high I could jump, and screamed just as loud as I could scream. It felt so good.
I tell you, when you're born into the house of the living God, there's something comfortable about it. God makes it so. He makes it nice for His little eaglets when they're born. I'm so glad to be one of them.
And then, after the little ones are born, they got a nice little cozy bed to lay on, and everything's just nice, and going good. Then the first thing you know, this mother eagle takes a notion. After she sees some feathers coming on to her eagles ... or, eaglets, she takes a notion that she's determined they're not going to be earthbound. You know, God takes that too, He don't want you to be all, just bound down with the things of the world.
She takes a notion that she's not going to let her little eaglets become like chickens. I'm glad that God does the same thing. He don't want you chickens: scavengers; He want's you an eagle.

34 And so then, she looks them all over good until she thinks that they got enough feathers on them. So then she goes in the inside of the nest, and she takes her big beak, and pulls all of that rabbit skin and sheepskin out of there, and throws it out. And then every time those little eagles start to sit down or step, it's stickers and thorns. What's the matter? She don't want them to get adjusted to the nest.
That's the way God does His church. He throws trials and tribulations on you. "Every son that cometh to God must be tried and chastened of God." He don't want you to get adjusted to this world. Maybe He throws you on a bed of sickness. Maybe He lets you have a heart trouble, a sticker.

Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

35 Everywhere you turn, there's a sticker. The little fellow just can't stand it. And sometimes, they get all sore. For every time they start to hunker down, a sticker sticks them.
Oh, everyone that's ever experienced the birth of an eagle, yourself being one of Jehovah's eaglets, you know what I'm talking about: trials and temptation. Almighty God taken His own Son into the wilderness and turned the devil loose on Him. Sure. And every son that cometh to God is tried and chastened of God. Trials and tribulations: get bankrupt, everything go wrong, lose your business, your friends walk away from you---sticker here, and a sticker there. Just remember, God's testing you. God's going to do something for you.
I remember my own father told me, "Pack your clothes and get out of here with that kind of a religion." I did. But oh, I've never been sorry.

36 Then, I remember also those little birds after they're stuck. And then, the old mother sees them; they're all sore; they're all stuck it in the feet... Maybe like some of you here tonight, sick and afflicted, all stickered up. Poor little old fellows, they're chirping, and running along one another. She comes up on the nest, and she begins to scream at them, gathering them together all in one place in one accord. You see, she wants them to know her language. God does the same thing. He want's you to learn His language. So, he's going to take them on a solo flight, their first one.
So the old mother eagle, she gets up there. She stands on the nest, and she screams to them. They scream back till they can talk her language. I like that. Then while she's got them all up there together, she spreads forth them great big wings. Oh, they look up and say, "Mama, I never knew you are so great."

37 Did you ever get in trouble, where the doctor says you can't live no longer, or you think you're gone, and you ever seen the Old and New Testament spread before you, "How great Thou art, how great Thou art." You never knew how great He was until you turned your little sick eyes and looked up towards Him, Jehovah Eagle standing there, "I am the same yesterday, today, and forever." Jehovah Eagle, how great Thou art.
Then they begin to look. And as they look at that great mother...
Did you ever look up to the stars sometime, wonder how every one keeps his place? Did you ever think about who controls this world, how it stands in its orbit? How that science can predict to the minute twenty years before, how the moon and sun will pass for the eclipse. How great Thou art, how great Thou art. Did you ever notice how much... Why He can take the sun, and draw more water in five minutes, and less noise, than we can pump out a gallon bucket out of a pump. He's God. He's great. And we look up to Him to see how great He is.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

38 That's what He's trying to do when He fans that Old Testament and New Testament before you. "Look at Me, how great I am."
That old mother eagle presses back and forth. I've watched them a many time through my binoculars. There she stands with those great wings fourteen feet across. The little eagle say to one to another, "Our mommy is a great bird."
How a church... How a man that's got God, accepted Christ as His personal Saviour, and He begins to look up there and see how God great is ... how great He is.
Then this old eagle decides that those little fellows has got enough feathers to fly. But there might be some loose feathers in them. And if they have any loose feathers, and she takes them on a flight, they'll break their neck. So, she gets them all in one accord in one place, all talking her language. And then she stands there with those great big wings, and begins to fan, fluttereth over her young. What's she's doing? She's teaching them. They've been born in the cleft, but there is a mighty rushing wind that comes down from the mother's wings.

39 Out of the New and Old Testament, that same God that's always been God... He's God of Abraham. He's God of Moses. He's God of Jacob. He's God of the apostles. He's God in the housetop; He's God in the cellar. He's God forever more. And He stands there in that rushing mighty wind, that same God that led the Hebrew children out of the fiery furnace, led Moses through the wilderness. That same God is bringing forth a power through those wings that shakes every loose feather there is in you out.
The trouble the church can't take its flight today: it's got too many loose feathers, too many things ... too many things of the world. Why, they take all the loose feathers out, you'd have no more feathers.

40 The old mother eagle stands there, and she bathes them. How they're all talking her language, screaming right back to her. And she's fanning them with the New and Old Testament, bringing and showing them it's the same God, same One, same power, same Jehovah. He treats every one of His eaglets the same way.
A mother eagle doesn't changes her course. She gives her eaglets the same training. Now, she says, "Children, you've never been on a flight like this, but I'm not afraid to take you now, because you are eagles." So she says, "Jump up on my wings." And she turns herself, spreads forth her great big wings. Every little eagle jumps up on his wings, and puts a foot here, a foot here, and takes his little beak and holds on.
That's how you come to Christ, holding on to the cross with soul, body, and spirit. You're going to take a ride. That's how you take a hold of a promise of God. If God was a healer in Old Testament, He's a healer in the New Testament; He's a healer today. Take a hold of it soul, body, and spirit, for you're going on a trip. I hope we take it tonight.

41 Hold on, you can't pull them feathers out. See, she's got a reason for it. Each little eagle, he's happy then. He knows he's a eagle; he's been born an eagle. And he sees that he's the same as she is. So he puts his little beak down, takes a good tight hold. "All right, Mommy, let's go." That old eagle mother walks to the end of that nest, takes them big wings and holds them out. She soars off of that nest with them little eagles sticking on her wings. And she climbs, and climbs, and climbs, and climbs, till she gets plumb out of sight almost, so far up in the air until you can't hardly see the ground. I've watched them through my binoculars until they look like little spots. And you know what she does when she gets up there with them little babies? She shakes them every one off. They're eagles; they can take it. If they're chickens, they're gone. If they're eagles, they're made for it.
When you're turned loose after you're prayed for, and the prayer of faith has been said, or you've accepted Christ as your healer, I don't care who tells you something different, if you're a eagle, you'll hold to God's promises. I don't care what takes place; no shaking or nothing else can ever shake you loose from it.
Might be fifty doctors standing by and tell you you're dying; you wouldn't believe it. You're eagle; you know the promise.

42 And as soon as she shakes them off, she says, "All right children, it's all up to you. Now, you've never flown before. You haven't had any seminary experience; you don't need it. Just flap your little wings and have a good time." That's the way I like it.
Oh, my, flap your little wings, have a good time. They're not scared; they're eagles. They're not afraid of fanaticism. Why? The old mother scoops off to one side and soars around watching them. They just have a good time, because they're resting in the ever presence of the mother and the ability she has. If one gets topsy-turvy, and gets out of line, she will scoop him up on her big wings and bring him back to grace again. Amen. That's right. Don't worry; don't worry about fanaticism. It's something that's in your heart, breathing upon you. God's always ever present. "I will never leave you or forsake you. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever." He will bring you back to the power and the grace of God. Got two big wings full of it here.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

43 She goes off, and she watches them. And if one gets topsy-turvy, just a little bit out of line, she just dips right under him with her big wings, these, brings him right back up again, and places him in the place. Now, they go so high, and she can fly so fast, they can't... Why, she can fly a hundred times faster than he can fall. She sets them big wings, and scoops right down and picks him up. Lays it right up, and here he comes right back up with the rest of them.
We should never condemn a brother when he's topsy-turvy. Just remember, Mama will pick him up. That's all there is to it. If he's an eagle, he's got to come back.
Bring him right back again and place him with the group. Just keep on flopping your wings. The little flappers just a going, you know, they're having a Pentecostal revival way up in the blue, where there's no rats, no mice, no lizards, no frogs, nothing can harm them.
Oh, I like to lift me up above the shadows. Give me... Place my feet on higher ground. Lift me up above the shadows where the true, the Word of God is found. In the kingdom filled with glory... Oh, that's where I want God to take me. Take me away from this earthbound quacking and going on down here. Let me get up to where we're above the shadows, up into the heavenly blue, know that His eye watches over us.

44 Now, the chicken don't know nothing about that. He just don't know what to do. I can see those little eagles up there flopping around, and a bunch of little chickens down here scratching around in the manure pile. Look up like that, and say, "Tch, tch, tch. Such fanaticism," see.
Could you imagine that? Why, he doesn't know what they're doing. He can't get up there. He can't get his feet off the ground.
That's the way with people sometimes; you're so earthbound, till they stand on man's word instead of God's Word. God said so! That settles it. Eagles believe it. I don't know about chickens. But eagles believe every word that God said is the truth. They stay right on it. If Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, the Lord says that, they say "Amen" to it. If Jesus said, "The works that I do shall you also." They say "Amen" to it. They believe it. God checks them by that.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

45 I heard a story one time, that there was a farmer that was going to set a hen. Now, I guess all you people know what it takes to make it setting of eggs. And he lacked one egg in having enough. And he put an eagle's egg under the hen. That's about the way it averages: one to a setting.
But, however, when this little fellow was hatched out, he was a stranger in a strange land. That's the way when some of these places hatch out a eagle once in awhile. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't understand their language. The hen would get out there and scratch in the barnyard and holler, "Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck. The days of miracles are past. There's no such a thing as divine healing. All that Holy Ghost stuff is fanaticism."
He couldn't understand that. He was kind of by himself. And he looked around, thought, "Is this where I belong? Now, I don't look up that way, because that was one time, but we're down here now, see." But he couldn't understand that. He looked up and it looked pretty good to him. Why? It was his nature. He was an eagle to begin with. He wasn't at home. Did you ever see any of them like that? I was one of them.

46 So then, the first thing you know, the clucking of the hen, he couldn't understand it. The chickens, their diet and the way they'd eat, why, he couldn't understand that. It'd turn his little stomach to see the way they eat. Sometime it does, a real Christian in an old formal church. The diet: bunco games, card parties, soup suppers for the preacher; God don't endorse that.
So then the first thing you know, one day while he was out there running along by himself looking around, his little wings folded, didn't know what to do. And all the little chicken was eating away on their diet. He couldn't understand it. But there come an old mother eagle through the sky hunting for him. She flew over.
I'm so glad that He found me one day too. I never found Him; He found me. I knowed there was something somewhere. There was something in my heart when they told me that visions and things was of the devil, that divine healing, that was just mental conditions. There was something down there told me different. I knowed that was wrong.

47 The old mother eagle flew by, and she looked down, and she saw her child. And she screamed. And when she screamed, he understood that language. She screamed, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever."
That little eagle said, "That sounds right."
She come back cross again; she said, "Son, you're not a chicken; you're mine." I'm so glad. Hallelujah! "You're my child. You don't belong among them chickens." She looks again, "Could I be mistaken? I will test him." God always tests His children by the Word. And she screams back, and she said, "If you are an eagle and you believe..."
"How do I get out of here, mama?"
"Only thing you do is just jump, and start flapping your little wings; they'll pack you. Jump, run towards the altar and flap that little faith you got a little bit. See what it'll do for you. If you're sickly in there dying, just make a run towards Calvary. Use that faith you got. Watch what happens."

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

48 He made a jump (see), because he was a eagle. Now, if he'd been a chicken, he'd said, "You never get me hooked up in that bunch of holy-rollers. You'll never get me in that fanaticism. Oh, no." But he was a eagle, and he minded the Word.
Any man that's a Christian, when the Bible says anything, he will say, "Amen" to it, because the Holy Ghost had give him birth is the One that wrote the Word.
He begin to flop his little flappers, and he jumped up as hard as he could. He didn't care whether it looked like holy-roller to them chickens or not. He was obeying the word that was told him. And he jumped, and he started flapping his little wings. And he got his feet off the ground: felt pretty good. Then he lit right on a barnyard post, right in the middle of a Pentecostal organization, who fences all the chickens in, and says, "Don't associate with that bunch." We got them.

49 And his mother come back. She said, "Son, you'll have to jump higher than that, or I will never get you."
That's the way it is, brother. You've got to jump into the arms of God. You've got to get off your feet. You've got to get off the denominational porch. You've got to throw your arms out to every man and woman that professes Jesus Christ to be the Son of God. Certainly, love them; break down your barriers; don't fence them in. Eagles can fly a fence.
She caught him. Oh, how good it was: take the first solo flight up into the air, because he was an eagle.

50 No doubt but what there's eagle here tonight that's never took your first solo flight. You don't what it is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Maybe you don't know what it is to have the joybells of God ringing in your heart. Maybe you'd look and see the power of God moving, like a blind man standing here last night to receive his sight; see the Angel of the Lord promised through the Bible, as we've been preaching this week, showing that He would do the same things just before the Lord Jesus came, that He did in the days of Sodom. How that a man came---a human, looked like, dressed like a man, dust on His clothes; said He was a stranger, sat down with Abraham, the elected church. While there was a modern Billy Graham and so forth, and Jack Schuller, went down and blinded the people about preaching the Gospel in Sodom, to the lukewarm church to call them out.
But an Angel come to the elected, and stayed there with Abraham and his group. Watch what He did. He said, "Abraham, where is your wife, Sarah?" How did He know he had a wife? How did He know her name was Sarah?
Said, "She's in the tent behind You."
And Sarah, in the tent, laughed within herself.
And the Angel said, "Why did Sarah laugh?"
A eagle will catch that right quick. A eagle will know that we're at the last day. Jesus said, "As it was back there at Sodom and Gomorrah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man."

Genesis 18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

Genesis 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

51 Friend, this has been a rude message. But I don't mean it to be rude, but I want to drive it home to you, that men that is borned of the Spirit of God, believe the things of God. And God is trying today to get a people together, so we will not be bound by orders, and so forth, so we can fellowship together, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, in one great big ransomed church.
Will we come to the Lord Jesus? We're getting ready to take a flight to never return again till the tribulation periods are over and we return back for the Millennium. It's a long flight; it's all the way into glory. Jehovah Eagle's a coming. We feel the power. We see the shadow. We hear His language as it's spoke among His people. "My sheep know My voice, a stranger they'll not follow." If you're here tonight, and has never had the experience of being born an eagle, may you receive Him now as we pray, when we bow our heads.

John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

John 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

52 How many at the closing of this service, that realizes within you that you're not a Christian? Though you may belong to church; you may be a charter member of some famous church, which I have nothing to say against. That's all right. But as far as having faith to rise off of a cot, faith to accept your healing when the doctor has done all he can do for you, not doubt or take the second chance, but just look and say, "God, You are Him, and I believe You. I'm ready for my flight." Or man and woman, if you haven't got that experience with God, that you know that He keeps His Word...
If He dumps you out in mid air, you're an eagle. He watches over you. He watches to perform His Word. He likes to see what you'll do about it. Don't be afraid; He will take you. He will catch you. He will bear you up, put you back into His kingdom. If you're not a Christian tonight, and would like to remembered in this closing prayer, as the service is coming to the end, would you raise your hand while you have your head bowed, and say, "Remember me, Brother Branham as you pray."? The Lord bless you, you, you. Oh, back through the building, down the middle rows. Over to my right now. How many over there? Look at your hands. God bless you. More raise your hands, "Remember me, God. I am not a Christian. I may belong to church, but... And I may belong to a Pentecostal church. I may belong to the Pilgrim Holiness, Baptist or Presbyterian. I'm not a Christian. I just go there because it's a church. Have mercy on me, God; I hold my hand, ask for pardoning grace." There's some hundred and hundred and fifty hands has been up now. Is there another would say, "Remember me, O Lord, tonight. I haven't got faith. I don't..."?

53 And that's sin. That is sin. When a man or a woman doubts the Word of God, it's sin. "He that believeth not is condemned already." Is that right? "He that condemneth ... believeth not is condemned already." Do you believe that? So what is sin? Unbelief. If you've got unbelief in your heart, pray now.
Lord, we are bringing to close this portion of the service tonight. And we thank Thee, because that Thou has give us so many things to look at: nature, the Word, that life, the bird life, the life of the eagle, the life of the tree. And the greatest example we have is the life of Christ, which was to be reproduced in us by the Holy Spirit.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

54 When He was on earth, He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works; it's My Father that dwelleth in Me." And He went about. And when people came to Him, like Simon Peter, He told him what his name was, and what His father's name was. Peter recognized it to be the Messiah. When Philip found Nathanael and told him he'd found the Messiah, he couldn't believe it. But when He saw him coming, He said, "Behold, an Israelite in who is no guile."
He said, "Rabbi, when did You know me?"
Said, "Before Philip called you, when your under the tree, I saw you."
He said, "Thou art the Christ, thou art the King of Israel, the Son of the living God." He recognized You to be the Messiah.

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

55 A poor prostitute at the gate, come out to get the water one morning as Jesus sat at the well down in Samaria, an offcast people. And when Jesus spoke to her and told her of her condition, that she had five husbands, she said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that Thou art a prophet. We know when the Messiah cometh, He will tell us these things."
He said, "I am he that talks to you."
And she ran into the city, saying, "Come, see a man who told me the things that I've done. Isn't this is the Messiah."
We hear Him say. "I can do nothing within Myself. But what I see the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise," promising these things would happen at the end of the Gentile age, as it was in the days of Sodom. And here we are seeing them return back, and happening right before our eyes. We hear the newspapers ... or, read them. We hear the radio and the television of the talks of Russia and the atheistic world, of the communists, of great claims. And we see people who know that are committing suicide, trying to drink it off, or laugh it off, or joke it off with Hollywood jokes. God, we got to face the facts. The end is here. It's the end time.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

56 May there not be a one of these tonight, that's raised their hands, have to face You with sin on their life. May You forgive them just now of all their trespasses. Give them Thy Spirit, O Lord, and may they live eternally. For it is written in the Word, "He that heareth My words and believeth on him that sent Me has eternal life, and shall never come to the judgment, but hath passed from death to life." Let it be with each of those, Lord.
May I have the privilege on the other side of shaking their hand, they saying, "It was at the Chatauqua that night that I accepted Jesus as my Saviour," when life is all over for us. Fill those with the Holy Spirit who hasn't received it. Give faith to the sick for healing. And may we be able to humble ourselves, and submit ourselves unto Thee, that You could come and fulfill Your promise, as You promised in Saint John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Grand it, Lord. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

57 Now, to you who raised your hands, I believe you were deeply sincere in that. And I'm going to ask you in the name of the Lord Jesus, immediately after I run the prayer line... There's so many sick here. And I've got to run the prayer line. But you don't have to come up here. If you really accepted Him when you raised your hand, He took you. Your name went on the Lamb's Book of life.
Don't you rest until you feel that wind coming through the wings of the Eagle, like they did on the day of Pentecost. For God is no respect of persons. I know there's a bunch of fanaticism that goes on under the name of Pentecost, but that's not real Pentecost. No, that's impersonations. But there is a real Holy Spirit. Why would you accept a substitute when the skies are full of the real, see. Now, don't do it. God will give you the Holy Spirit.
For Peter said on the day of Pentecost, "The promise is to you and to your children, to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." That's right.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

58 Now, I want you, as soon as the healing service is over, the prayer for the sick, I want you to come up here and stand around the altar when we make the altar call, and offer thanks to God, that the people here can see that you've accepted Jesus as your Saviour. For He said, "If you'll confess Me before men, him will I confess before My Father and the holy angels." May the Lord bless you.
Now, we're going to call a prayer line. Just before we do this, I might say this: We're late, not a little late, not too late. We're never late. Peter, I believe, preached the Holy Ghost Gospel all night long. A man fell, killed himself. He laid his body over him, and life come back. I believe God.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

59 Now, as for... If there be any strangers here who's never been in the meetings before, I do not profess to be a healer. And any man that professes to be a healer, he's a healer all right (see), but not of God. For there is no healing except divine healing. There's no medicine that'll heal. I've never had a real doctor to tell me that it did.
Mayo Brothers, when I had the interview... You read the miracle of Donny Martin, in that issue of Readers' Digest, "The Miracle of Donny Martin." I was called in. And they said, "We do not profess to be healers. We only profess to assist nature. There's one healer; that's God. We could not build tissue. But we could keep a place clean while God builds the tissue." That's doctors, real doctors, see. A doctor can set a bone, but he can't heal it. God has to.

60 Someone said to me one time, "What about penicillin killing the cold germs?"
I said, "Did you ever have a house full of rats? You put out rat poison? They're eating up your house? The rat poison kills the rats, but it don't patch the holes. That's what penicillin does. It kills the germ, but it doesn't heal, because God is the only healer there is. Psalms 103:3, "I'm the Lord who heals all your diseases." Doctors take their own medicine and die. God's the healer. So, healing, as far as God was concerned, when Jesus died at Calvary, "He was wounded for our transgressions; with his stripes we were healed." Is that right?
Then you say, "I was saved five minutes ago, Brother Branham." No, you wasn't, sister, brother. You were saved nineteen hundred years ago; you just accepted it five minutes ago, see. That's right.

Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

61 Your healing... This young man on the cots and the stretchers, and these little children in braces, and you with heart trouble, and diseases, you were healed nineteen hundred years ago. The only thing you have to have is faith to accept it.
And if you was a sinner, God didn't come down and save you just a few minutes ago. It was you come and got saved by believing, accepting what He done for you. Now, no one can heal. God is the healer, and it's already did. It's just to prove your faith in God. It's called "Faith healing," your healing.
Now, God is good. He sends His Word. If you won't believe His Word, then He puts in the church five different offices: First, apostle, prophets, teachers, pastors, evangelists. They are for the perfecting of the church. And in each local body, He put nine spiritual gifts in the local body. That's gifts that goes from one to the other. But these are ordained and predestinated of God. Gifts and callings are without repentance. You know that? Sure they are. Now, then God sets them in the church.

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

62 Now, Jesus promised that... The prophets promised that there'd be a day come, that it wouldn't be neither night nor day, be a dismal. But said, "In the evening time, it shall be light." How many ever read that in the Scriptures? Sure.
What happened? Geographically, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. And the Holy Spirit, the Son of God, His goodness fell on the Eastern people first. That's the rising of the sun. Now, there's been a day that's passed over, that it's not dark; it's dismal. We've had enough knowledge of the Word and God to get saved, join the church, so forth. But it said, "In the evening time it shall be light," on the Western people, just like it was on the Eastern people. The same sun that rises in the east, sets in the west.

Zechariah 14:6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

63 We're at the closing of the Gentile age. That's the Eastern people. This is a Western people. And the same Holy Ghost that came in a man called Jesus Christ, and performed miracles, promised that at the setting of the sun that He would return back and would do the very same things that He did when He was here at the Eastern people.
Now, anybody knows that's the truth. As it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, so shall it be. What did He do? He never healed people. He never claimed to be a healer. He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works; it's My Father that dwelleth in Me." He said, "I only... The Son can do nothing in Himself." Saint John 5:19. "The Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing." So then if Jesus has raised from the dead, and if He keeps His promise that He will work those things...

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

64 Now, if He was standing here tonight, wearing this suit that He give me, and you'd walk up to Him and say, "Lord, I'm sick. Will You heal me?"
He'd say, "Child of Mine, I did that when I died for you at Calvary. For I was wounded for your transgressions; with My stripes, you were healed."
Now, He might be able and would be able to perform signs to show you that He was the Messiah. And if Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, He will give the same Messiahic sign that He give to the Eastern, He will give to the Western, because He promised He would do it.
How did the people know He was Messiah? When Peter was brought to Him by Andrew, his brother. And Jesus never seen him before. He said, "Your name is Simon; you're the son of Jonas." And that ignorant fisherman, who could not even write his own name, become the head of the church because he believed it.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

65 Quickly went Philip to find Nathanael. And when Nathanael was found, and he was told that they'd found the Messiah.
"Why," he said, "could there be any good thing come out of that little old country down there called Nazareth ... city?"
He said, "Come, see." That's the best thing to do.
And when he told him about what He done to Peter, told him said, "Do you know...?" Like maybe their conversation was something like this, "We know that Moses promised us..." Now, that's Israel. "Moses promised us that when Messiah would come, that He'd be a God-prophet." How many knows that's true? "The Lord your God shall raise up a prophet liken unto me." How many knows he's talking of Messiah? He'd be a God-prophet. And he said, "This man meets the qualifications."
So he walked over to where He was. And as soon he come into the congregation, into the prayer line, or wherever it was where Jesus was praying... Philip, they claimed, went fifteen miles around the mountain to get him: thirty miles. Come back the next day with him, brought him to the meeting where Jesus was holding a healing services. And when he come up before Jesus, Jesus said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there's no guile."
He said, "Rabbi" (or Reverend, Teacher, whatever you wish to call it), " how did You know me? You've never seen me before?"
He said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you."
Right then, he fell on his face, and said, "You're the Son of God. You're the King of Israel."

Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

66 The woman---that Samaritan woman... As soon as Jesus told her that she was living in sin, and told her the secret of her heart... As soon as Jesus Christ told the Samaritan woman...
Now, the Jews was looking for the Messiah. So was the Samaritans. But the Gentiles, we had clubs on the back and worshipped idols in them days. We wasn't looking for no Messiah. He never manifested. He said, "Don't go to the Gentiles. They're time will be later. But you go to the lost sheep of Israel."
So these looking for Him, these Samaritans... So, He went by. And this woman standing there, He said, "Bring Me a drink."
She said, "Why, it's not customary. We got segregation here and so forth."
And when Jesus got down till He found where her trouble was, He said, "Go get your husband and come here."
She said, "I have no husband."
Said, "You've said right. Because you got five husbands."
She said, "Sir..."

Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

Matthew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

John 4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

67 Listen. Now, the Jews... When He did that, they said He was a fortuneteller, Beelzebub. Jesus said, "I will forgive you for that. But someday the Holy Spirit will come, and you speak a word against it (That's this day.), there's never forgiveness in this world, neither in the world to come." How many knows that's Scripture? So, if you don't believe, don't say nothing. Just keep still and go ahead, see. Because Jesus said, "It would be unforgivable." That's exactly what He was doing. Said He had a... Calling the Spirit of God, discerning what was the people's trouble, a evil spirit, the Spirit of God; blaspheming, calling it an evil spirit---the Spirit of God. They didn't have spiritual discernment to know it was the Spirit of God.
He said, "Well, you can discern the faces of the skies. If you'd have knowed Me, you'd have knowed My day." They knowed that He was to be that God-prophet, but they couldn't understand it. Their eyes were blared and dimmed, and they just can't understand it. Said they had eyes, but they can't see; ears and can't hear. So is it today amongst the Gentiles. But listen. Shake your understanding.

Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Matthew 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Mark 3:30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Luke 12:56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

68 Then we find Him promising when He went away: "The works that I do, shall you also; even more than this shall you do, for I go to My Father." Now, how many believes that God is a infinite God? Sure you do. Then if God ever makes the decision to do something a certain way, He's got to forever stay with that, or He made a mistake.
I can do anything. I make a mistake. I'm finite. But God is infinite. He can't say, "I was wrong. I will try it over." What God does the first time, it's perfect. And if He declared Himself as Messiah, and said that was the Messiah... And all that believed it to be the Messiah by showing that sign, they're in glory today.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

69 Now, He cannot let the Gentiles go into the kingdom without first vindicating Himself as Messiah to them at the end of their age, as He did in the end of their age. He promised it, "As it was in Sodom," which we went over through the night, it'll be in the coming of the Son of man.
Here it is, friends, not because that we're here. I don't want you to think that I'm trying to boast up a Full Gospel people. No, sir. Just because my feathers are the color of theirs; that isn't it. There's room for all of us. Jacob dug the third well and said, "There's room for all." Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, whosoever will, let him come.
People in the Baptist church, the church that I'm from, has got the baptism of the Holy Ghost; Presbyterian. My father's people were Catholic; many of them come and get the Holy Ghost. It's for anybody: whosoever will. If you're born a eagle, and you look up and see them soarings and blessings of God, you're ready for it. Just take ahold of it. Hang on to it. It's God.

Genesis 26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

70 Now, the hour has come. The pillar of fire has appeared to us again. You've got the pictures of it. It's in Washington, D.C. under a copyright. That if I die, if I never seen you all again, my testimony is the truth. The scientists know it. The church knows it. I've been around the world; it knows it. She's ready for judgment. There's only one way that judgment can come; that's when mercy is spurned. When you've spurned mercy, there's nothing left but judgment. Our nations has spurned mercy.
Billy Graham, around the world preaching the Gospel. Jack Schuller, Oral Roberts, oh, many of them. Signs and wonders, there's been preachers. There's been gifts of healing, prophetic and all. And they drink, and they gamble, and they laugh, and make fun, and commit adultery, live in sin. There's one thing left: that's a hydrogen bomb. And it's headed this way. Remember, I tell you that in the name of the Lord.
Judgment is upon this nation. She's spurned God for her last. There's no more hope. There'll be a few stragglings come in to receive the Holy Spirit. But the time of America's judgment is close at hand. Mark that in your Book and see if it comes to pass.

71 All right. Now, we can pray for people. God can call. Now, the Bible said that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Is that right? If He's the same, He has to be the same in principle, the same in power. The only thing is His body is sitting at the right hand of God. We all believe that.
He's sitting at the right hand of God on God's throne. That's not His throne. He's coming back to reign on His throne; it's the throne of David; He's to take His throne. He's sitting on God's throne, waiting till the last enemy is made His footstool. He will return someday, bringing the precious souls with Him to take on immortality, to live in a glorified body, live through a millennium, and then forever with Him.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

72 Listen, we're at the end time. The judgment is at hand. Mercy is being offered tonight. This is the last night of the meeting. You invited me back; I hope that that is the will of God. It's my will. If it's His will, I will be glad to do it, come back to help all your ministers.
I don't care what church or denomination you're from. The only thing I'm... I'm not against the denomination; I'm against the sin that goes on in the denomination; and you let it alone. Not only that, I'm against the sin in every individual, the sin in the nation. I'm just against sin, because God Word's against it. And I must stand true to that Word. That's right. If I have stand by myself, I have to stand by it. That's my honest convictions; that God's Word is truth, and everything else is a lie outside of it. That's God's words.
God made this promise. He appeared to me in an Angel. You've read my book, and also it's been vindicated by millions and millions and millions around the world. It's true.

73 Now, we will call the prayer line, pray for the sick, see what the Holy Spirit will say. Now, there'll be some here that doesn't have prayer cards. How many here's sick and doesn't have prayer cards, raise up your hands? All right.
These wheelchairs and things, I run my hand there, had a prayer card, you don't need it. Them... You are... I'm a little long, but just--just bear with me a few minutes longer. Look, you must live what to do. If I ever come back again it ain't going to be for no four or five nights, we're going to stay for two weeks. Now, so we can teach and see what... You just run in blindly and don't understand, and somebody's talked you out of it in a few days, and said, "Nothing to it." You go right back.
When the unclean spirit's gone out of a man he walked in dry places. He comes back with seven other evil spirits worse than he was, see. If they don't understand it, makes them worse.

74 Now, how many Bible readers in here that knows that the Book of Hebrews claims that "Jesus Christ, right now, is the High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities," is that right? Can He? Can He be touched? Say, "Amen." He can be touched. Then is He the same Jesus that walked on earth? If He is the same Jesus, and His Holy Spirit is here on earth to carry on the Work, finish up the Work, as Daniel called it. Until He comes... It'll... If the Life that was in Jesus is in the church, it'll do the same thing. Then if He's the High Priest, that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities, He will have to act the same way that He did when He was touched when He was here on earth. You believe that?
Now, listen close you--I see you that raised your hands, you didn't have a prayer card. There was a woman one time that, we'll say she didn't have a prayer card. Only she just couldn't get in, she had a blood issue. And that's for all of you out in the audience, everywhere, that don't have a prayer card. She believed that He was the Son of God. All though they called Him an insane man. Do you know He--Jesus says... Christ was declared insane. All the apostles was declared insane? They said, "You're mad." What does the word mad mean? "Crazy."
Agrippa told Paul preaching this same Gospel, said, "You're crazy."
He said, "In the way that's call crazy, that's the way I worship the God of our fathers. The way that's called crazy (see), that's way I worship God." I'm glad I can join hands with Paul tonight; I do the same thing.

Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

Acts 26:24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

75 Now, when Jesus... That woman touched ... she pressed through the crowd, touched that outside garment (which it was an underneath one also), but the outside garment, the border of His garment, for she said within her heart... No Scripture to back it up... You got Scripture to back it up now, but she didn't have any Scripture. She said, "If I touch the border of His garment, I will be made well." How many remembers the story? Why, certainly. She said, "I believe the man. There's something about Him, that I believe that He's honest and sincere and I believe He is the Messiah."
So she slipped through the crowed and she touched His garment; she squeezed back through the crowd again. And everybody was shaking hands with Him, and patting Him on the shoulder. And He stopped (I'm talking to you without a prayer card.), stopped, and looked around, and said, "Who touched Me?"
Why, it got such a great thing, till even Peter rebuked Him. In other words, might have said this, "What do You mean anyhow? Who touched You? Why, everybody's touching You. What are You talking about saying, 'Who touched Me?' How could we tell? Everybody's touching You."
He said, "But I perceive that virtue when out of Me."
That's the kind of touch we're talking about. Not of putting your name on your church book, lot of them are joining churches, lot of them are holding their hands up, "I believe You, Lord."
But He's wanting somebody to touch Him, and that He can feel it. Virtue, that's strength. Just think that one little vision pulled strength out of Him, the Son of God. Daniel saw one vision and was troubled at his head for many days. The Bible said so. It could not be done but once, if Jesus hadn't said... Now, King James Version says, "Greater than this shall you do..." But the right translation is, "More than this shall you do," see, "More". Cause, you couldn't do greater; He raised the dead, and stopped nature, and done everything, see. So it couldn't be greater, but it could be more of it, because He wouldn't have to be in one place. His Spirit could be all over the world, in all the church. He could do more.
Now, when that little woman touched Him, she went off and sit down. We'll say she sit down, she might've stood up. But when she did, Jesus said, "Who touched Me? Who touched Me?" And He looked around, the Spirit of God was in Him, the One Who'd been touched. She didn't touch Him that He could feel it, she touched the Spirit of God that was in Him. And He turned around and looked out through the audience, till He found her. Told her that her faith had saved her from that blood issue, is that right?
Well then, if Jesus is still a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities, wouldn't He act the same way if He is the same yesterday, today, and forever? It's just only the Scripture.
Now if you haven't had prayer cards, don't be discouraged. Sit still, then you look up this a-way. Now don't try to touch me, I'm your brother, and there's nothing in me. I'm the lowest of all. I'm one borned out of season.
You Pentecostal people preached this would come. Your old-time Pentecostals did. You looked for it to come and you men are the one who paved the way. But because I come fro--of the Baptist it's hard for you to receive. And you think it ought to come out of your Pentecostal church. But God does what He wants to do, it's nobody else's business. That's right. He just wants you to know that your Pentecostal organization isn't the only one in the bunch, that's right. He does what He wants to do. He's God. I love you Pentecostal people, it's you that's rallied around it. It's you that helped me. It's you that sponsored me. It's you that... me. I love you. I wouldn't hurt you for nothing; but when I see you're doing something wrong, I'm duty bound by love to tell you, you're wrong. When you go to... and drawing lines, and not fellowshipping with one another. If a brother's wrong you'll never win him to Christ by shoving him farther down. Pick him up.
When a little eagle drops, the mother didn't... because he got topsy-turvy, she went right down and picked him up and brought him right back. If you're a eagle, you'll do the same way al--by a fallen child of God, even if he's wrong. If he did get out cater, and out of the Scripture, and got topsy-turvy; go to him. That's the thing to do. Then God... all men will know you're My disciples, when you got love one for the other. The world's so thirsty for that, friend. And God is love and till we can get brotherly love, we'll never get very far with God. We need a revival of love amongst the children of God.
Now, you look, and don't... Just lay aside every little doubt, prejudice tonight. Look right straight to heaven and say, "Lord God, that man is a man. I know he's just--he's just a little, old, bald-headed man standing there. But there's one thing, he preached the Bible. He's told me a promise, he challenged my faith to it. Now You know my condition, why I'm laying here, or sitting here, or standing here. I'm dying. I need Your help. Confirm this to me Lord. Let me touch Your garment, and You send Your Spirit back to him, and act the same You did, when the woman touched Your garment. Now, I can't reach out with my hand and touch you, but I can take my faith and touch You." He never felt her hand, he felt her faith. That same High Priest will feel your faith, you believe it?
The Lord bless you. Now, be real reverent, set quiet, don't move around, and we'll call... Where's the boy? Where's--how--how many prayer cards was give out? C, one to a hundred; to line the people up.
Now, if anybody wonders why we give out prayer cards; how many in here doesn't have a prayer card, or does have a prayer card, and sick, anywhere around the building, raise up your hand. You want God to heal you, raise your hand up, way up high, everyone of you. Two to three... two thousand or better, now, who's going to be first? See, there you have to give out prayer cards. Sometimes we don't start from one, we start from fifty, or twenty, or thirty, or anywhere; but we usually try to pray for all that's got prayer cards. And how many knows that there's more gets healed out there without prayer cards, than there is in the prayer line with prayer cards, has been in my meetings before. Why there's fifty to one, see, it's your faith. All right, one, two, three, four... [Gap in the audio--Ed.]... while we're lining the prayer line up.

Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Mark 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

Luke 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

76 Like the lepers at the gate, they said, "Why do we lay here until we die? Why," they said, "If we go in the city..." How many knows the story? Samaria was being sieged by the Syrians. And they were so hungry, they was staving, till eat the bark off the tree, the grass off the ground, and they boiled one another's children and eat. Do you remember that? And these lepers couldn't come into the city, they were lepers. They thought it was contagious, and so they set at the gate. And they said, "Why do we set here till we die?" Now, listen close, "If we go into the city, we can't get nothing to eat, they're dying in there. If we sit here, we'll die. And if we go down to the Syrians, if they kill us, what of it? We're going to die anyhow sitting here, and if they save us, why we'll be made whole." How many remembers the story? All of you, sure.
Now, they had to take a chance, you know what the story was, but that faith. They started down towards the Syrians, and God had a big rumble to come on the desert and they run away, and left their tents, and left their food. They found plenty to eat, and not only did it save their own life, but they saved the life of the city, the people. How many knows that? Now look what a chance they had to take. You don't have to take that chance.
But if you sit where you are... Your sickness, if your doctors give you up, you'll die, and that's all. You can't lose by trusting God. And you're not asked to go down to the camp of an enemy, but you're invited to the house of God, Who's waiting for you. There's no losing.
All right, twenty to fifty now. Let them stand and line them up so...
And there's only one way you can lose, that's sit still and don't act on it. How many says that's true, say, "Amen." Is there one thing God can't do? Yes, there's one thing God cannot do, did you ever know that? He can't fail. That's one thing He can't do. He cannot fail, He has to win every time, because He's God. "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never fail." Is that right? So believe.
And you who got the cards now, see, they're lining those up. And you without cards now I want you to look this a-way, give me your undivided attention.
Now, how many's aware, this week in the meetings, through the Scriptures and through your reading that God has promised to do this in the last day? Oh yeah, He promised it, and it would be the last day.
Now, you see, I believe that science... A noted science come the other day, or not the other day, it's been some time ago. Did you ever hear of a lie detector, they put on criminials? This man was a critic and an infidel. He was at Chicago, Illinois at Brother Mattsson Boze's church. He was a scientist, and he met me, come down to my house later. He was amazed at that light. How many's got the picture of it and ever seen it, raise your hand.
Now to me, that's the same light that was with the children of Israel. How many knows that Jesus Christ is that Light? When Jesus was on earth, He said, "I come from God, I go to God." And any Bible student knows that the Angel of the Covenant was the Light that followed Moses through, or Moses followed through the wilderness, is that right? Look, when He was on earth He said, "Before Abraham was, I Am. I'm the Bread of Life that come from God out of heaven. Your fathers eat brea, manna in the wilderness, and are dead. I'm the Bread of Life that come from God out of heaven. I'm the Rock that was in the wilderness."
They said, "You're a man not over fifty years old, and say that you saw Abraham? Now we know you're mad (crazy), and you got a devil."
He said, "Before Abraham was, I Am." Is that right?
When He was on earth, look what He did when He was in a body of flesh, the Word said He did. He said, "Now a little while and the world won't see me no more." Cause, He was going away. "But you shall see Me (ye, that's the church), you shall see Me, for I (I is a personal pronoun), I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world. The works that I do shall you also."
Now, then after He rise--rose again, ascended into heaven to the Father, return back upon the earth, with His disciples forty days and nights, was taken up again. He met Paul some months after that on the road to Damascus, and he was stricken down. And when Paul looked up, what was there? A Pillar of Fire. Is that right? And a Voice came from It, said, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me."
He said, "Lord, who are You that I'm persecuting?"
He said, "I'm Jesus." The same God that was in the wilderness with the children of Israel, that dwelt in a body that He created Himself, and tabernacled in flesh, and through that sanctified body, given that blood, which was not brought here by sexual desire, given that life, that blood shed on Calvary sanctifies our life that the same Holy Spirit would live in the church to continue the work of Christ: Perfect.

Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

Acts 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

77 Now, the last days has come. Here He is, has got His picture taken. When George J. Lacy, the head of the FBI in fingerprint and document, stood up before the people at Houston there at the Shell Laboratory, and said, "I've been a critic myself. I been a critic of Mr. Branham. I said it was psychology." He said, "But psychology... That mechanical eye of the camera won't take psychology. That pillar of fire was hanging there; it struck the lens." That's the head of the FBI in fingerprint and document. There it hangs in Washington, copyrighted, the only supernatural being was ever photographed. Now, we've got the picture of it, haven't you. You got a right to ask the Douglas Studios or so forth about it that taken it. George J. Lacy. Look in my book; there's his name, place, everything. Ask him. You see it. It comes down. It does the same thing. It moves and proves itself.
Now, if it is that same Christ, working through a sinner saved by grace, it'll work through you, a sinner saved by grace; and it'll bear the same record that it did when it was in the unadulterated Son of God, for "The works that I do, shall you do also." Is that true? There's Scripture, friend. I wouldn't do one thing unless the Scripture said it was so.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

78 Now, be reverent. You people (Did all the fifty get in line?) All right, sir.
Now, I've got a group to pray for here. And I--I'm trusting God, that He will do something for these people, for I--I know they're in need. Now, you without prayer cards, that's sick, I want you to raise your hands up; just pretty near everywhere. Now, you look this way, start praying like the woman at the well. Now, the first thing, we cannot take each one of these for discernment, we realize that.

79 This--are you the one to be prayed for? You're--you--you--you are here, you're the patient, you had a prayer card. You had a prayer card, come up here. All right, now, I don't know you, God does know you. We're strangers to each other, as far as that's concerned. If that's right, let the audience know, by just raising up your hands together. Here's a man, he and I, has never met. He's a younger man than I.
Don't know him, never met him in my life. He's a man. Here we are meeting for our first time. If this isn't just exactly like it was in the Bible time, when Peter came to the Lord Jesus. Or when Philip was found by Nathanael...
Now, if the Holy Spirit... If Jesus Christ is here, and whatever that's in your heart---like the woman at the well, or so forth---whatever is in your heart, I don't know. But if God will reveal it, and tell me something that you know that I don't know nothing about, would you believe it was the Lord Jesus permitting that? You would?
How many in the audience would believe it? Here, now the showdown. If I told the truth... If I've told the truth about Jesus Christ, He's obligated to back that Word up. Yes, sir. And If I haven't, He will do nothing about it. Christ won't fool with an error. You know that. He won't bless an error. But He will... He's obligated to stand behind the truth. I say that He is not dead; He's alive. And He's alive right here tonight. Now, I'm a man. Got to stand before Him like you have.

80 Now, if I'd come up here and lay my hands on you and say, "Hallelujah! Praise God. You're going to get well. Praise the Lord." That's true, see. The Bible said, "The prayer of faith shall save the sick," and I may have faith to believe that. You have a right to believe that. But now what if the Holy Spirit comes, and goes back down yonder and tells you something that you know I don't know nothing about. You know whether that's the truth or not. Then if He knows what you have been, He certainly will know what will be. Is that right?
Now, be reverent. I want you to worship the Lord. But when... If I will at least have one, and now and then... Wherever in a few minutes then, so that I can get through the audience. But how many will promise, by the grace of God, that they'll believe if God will work? Me and this man both, with me and our hands up, that we've never met before in life, just right here. Now, may the Lord grant it.

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

81 Now, I just want you to answer me. Now, you're aware that something is going on, a real sacred feeling. If that's right, raise up your hand?
Now, the audience, I don't know whether you see or not. The man... Between me and him stands that light that you got the picture of, standing there now.
I see the man fading away from me. And he's here for a child. That's right. Someone else. It's a child; it's a baby about three months old, just a little bitty fellow. And the baby has a heart trouble. That's true. You're not from here. You're from Indiana, Anderson, Indiana. Go home, find your baby well in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You believe now. Just have faith. Don't doubt. Believe. Believe God.
Now, do you all believe? All right.

82 Now, if I don't say one word to you about discernment, you'll believe, won't you? Then go on, and your arthritis won't bother you.
Brother Kidd, I know you. So therefore, I won't try this discernment. I'm going to pray for you. Dear God, I know that this dear old preacher brother was preaching before I was born. I pray for him. He's been a darling man. I seen You bring him, over a conversation on the telephone when we prayed for him, and him laying in a hospital in a heart attack, You healed him. Here he is, going way into eighty years old. I pray that You'll bless him. And this darling little wife of his also, worked in coal mines with her own hands, to send her husband on the Gospel missions to preach the Word. We love them. A sweeter little couple, I know not of. I pray, Father, that You'll extend their days. And talking to them, and she crying, and saying, "Brother Branham, I'm too old, and I don't know what to do. I see the needs so great." Help her, Lord. Bless them. And may the blessings of God rest upon them. This condition that's growing over his eyes, I pray, God, that it'll be healed. I pray, God, that You'll heal our sister, that that stomach condition in her body will be taken from her. All ailments, may they leave through Jesus Christ. Amen. Bless you, Brother Kidd. God bless you, Sister Kidd.
What is it, Sister Kidd? She was healed standing right here at the platform. Held her hand out and said, "It's gone; the cancer has moved away." So, praise be to God. See, that's how supposed to ... how real it is.

83 You believe that the Lord will heal you? Been awful nervous, haven't you? Got your stomach all upset. That's right, see. But you want to go eat? Just go on and eat. Believe with all your heart. Go and eat; Jesus makes you well.
Now, do you believe with all your heart? If Jesus will tell me what your trouble is, will you believe with all your heart? All right. Your back condition has left you. So you can go on your road and be made well.
You believe with all your heart? Everything? All right, your heart trouble, it goes from you. You can go on your road and rejoice and be happy.
Do you believe? You had trouble in your back too. So go on your road and be happy; say, "Thank You, Lord Jesus."
You got a trouble. It's the man, which getting up... But then besides that, been nervous, heart trouble. So just go on your road and rejoicing. Jesus Christ makes you well.

84 If I don't say a word to you, pray for you, you believe that God will heal you? Come here. I lay my hands by the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the commission of Jesus Christ upon the man. May he be healed for the Kingdom of God. [Blank place on tape.]
Amen. God bless you. Do you believe sister with all your heart? Brother, no, you have a prayer... The lady sitting right back here, praying for a child that has nervous condition, nervous oppressions. You, yourself are nervous. And you're sitting there praying for that. If that's right, raise up your hand. All right, go home; you have your desire. See?
What did she touch? She never touched me; she touched the High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmity.
Come, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, may you be healed. Grant it.
If I don't say one thing to you, you believe you'd be healed anyhow? But your female trouble has left you, you can go on your way. You believe? How many out there believes with all your heart? If you'll believe you can have what you ask for.
You believe God knows you, lady? If God will tell me something about you, that you know that I don't know; I don't you. I guess you don't know me no more than just by name, is that's right? If the Lord Jesus will reveal to me His presence... You believe you're in His presence, That's what you feel? You're a very good person, 'cause you have a fine feeling to your spirit, see. You got a kidney condition. You got a nervous trouble that's bothering you, that's right, isn't it? You're not from here. You're from Lebanon, Ohio. That's right. You believe me as His prophet now with all your heart. You believe God knows who you are? If He knowed who Peter was, He'd know who you was. Is that right? All right, Mrs. Alexander, you can go home and be made well. Jesus Christ makes you well.
Have faith. Don't doubt. Believe with all...

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

85 You want to worship God. Now, raise up your hands and worship God if you just feel like you'd like to thank Him. Lord, we thank You for Your goodness. May the people really understand, Lord, that it's You're present here to do just the things that You promised to do. Let it be so, Lord. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.
Come now, sister. Believe. Lord Jesus, I pray that You'll heal her and make her well. Amen. God bless you, sister.
Come now, if I don't say nothing, you believe the Holy Spirit's here? You believe that I believe Him? Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe, if they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." The visions make me so weak, I have to watch or come out of it again in a little bit. God bless you, go and be healed now.
Come brother, you believe? In the Name of Jesus Christ, may you be healed. Amen.
Come, my brother, in the Name of Jesus Christ, may you be healed. Amen.
Come brother, you been sitting there shocked with victory, so go and be well in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Come, my brother, in the Name of Jesus Christ, go and be well. Amen.
You believe Him, sister? In the Name of Jesus Christ, go and be well. In the Name of Jesus Christ, go and be well.
That lady sitting right back here, way back there, looking right at me, praying, got head trouble, headaches. Go; Jesus Christ makes you well now. You can go and be made well. God bless you. I ought to know you, your face looks familiar. I can't tell now just know who you are. But I know you somehow. But I don't know nothing about you. But you're standing here for a desire, for a growth to be taken off of you, a mole on the heel, foot. Go; believe it. You'll receive it in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Do you believe? Have faith now. Don't doubt, just believe.
How do you do. Do you believe the things that you see come from God?
Now, something's happening out there. You're believing. That's good. It ought to settle it.
I'm a stranger to you. You're a stranger to me. But God knows both of us. If He will reveal what your trouble...

86 This is the scene, just like it was Jesus went one time and sat down by a well. And a Samaritan woman come out. And He talked to her, and told her what was in her heart. She believed Him, and said that was the sign of the Messiah. Is that right, a man and woman who met for the first time. This is the man and woman meeting again, the first time. I hold my hands, I've never seen the woman as far as I know, she said she'd never seen me. But He's God and He knows. Now, what I do is just yield myself to the Holy Spirit, don't try to use my own words. I just yielding to the Holy Spirit, and He tells me. You be the judge. You're extremely nervous. That's what you want prayer for. You got a loved one you're praying is in the hospital. It's your husband. He's paralyzed in his back. That's right. From Dayton... That's right. You're Opal Williams. Go back home and receive that what you asked for. Take that and lay it on him in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you believe? Have faith in God. Raise your hands and say, "Thank you, Lord Jesus." Just worship Him.
Come, my brother, in the Name of Jesus Christ, be made well.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, may my sister be healed, Lord.
Come brother dear, in the Name of The Lord Jesus, may you be healed. Bless you, brother.
Come with the little boy, you want prayer too, or just the lad? Lord, I pray that You'll heal them and make them well, may they completely recover in Jesus' Name. Amen. Don't doubt, and go believing. Now be concious of God being present.
In the Name of the Lord Jesus, be healed. Grant it Lord.

87 Oh, Lord, as this young woman comes in the Name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed, as she passes under the shadow of the cross. Have faith.
You believe you can go eat now? Your ulcer's gone, go eat your supper. Amen. The... time of colored people, are just so simple to believe. They're great believing, and had a hard time. Here, here's another colored woman. Are we strangers to each other? I do not know you. You do not know me. Now, here's a beautiful picture. In the days of our Lord, Saint John the fourth chapter... If the Bible still lives, let God prove that it lives. I'm Anglo-Saxon. You're an Ethiopian by nature, by birth, a color by race.
Jesus was a Jew; she was a Samaritan. And she said, "We have a segregation. It's not customary for you Jews to say anything to Samaritans." But Jesus let her know right quick that God was God of all nations. The country we live in changing our colors, had nothing to do with our soul. We can blood transfuse to each other, whatmore. We're all the creatures of God. We was raised in different parts of the country, and we're some yellow, and some brown, some white, some black. That has nothing to do with it. We're all off of one tree, Adam, God's creatures.

John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

88 Now, this'd be a perfect Bible scene. Our first time meeting. If God will reveal to me... In your heart, you be the solemn judge. If God will reveal what you're here for, or something that you know I don't know nothing about, will you solemnly believe it, and do like that woman, go tell your people, "Truly, the Holy Ghost is here doing the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, for I seen Him working among the people," like that woman went in and said, "Come, see a man who told what I've done, isn't that the very Messiah?" See, that was the sign of the Messiah. Would you be able do the same?
Would all the colored people here, or all whatever do the same, believing with all your heart? Now, by my Bible, I've never seen the woman in my life. I don't know one thing about her. Now, I guess this is the first time we ever walked face to face in life. If that's right, just so the people will see...
Now, if God be God, and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, then He keeps His Word. If He doesn't, then He isn't God; He hasn't raised from the dead. If He has raised from the dead, then He's for each one of you, every one of you. Here's a perfect Bible picture again. May God grant it, me not knowing.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

89 Now, I won't have to look at you. That has nothing to do it. But Jesus talked to the woman just a moment. Now, if God will tell me what's your trouble, then you'll believe. Because you know I don't know. You're nervous (your main trouble) which has caused you to have a stomach trouble. That's right. That's exactly right. Now, do you believe?
You say, "Brother Branham, you might've guessed that." Lets see what He would say anymore.
Yes, there's something else wrong with you. It's a knot on your left leg.
You believe? You think it was guessing? She's a good person, a fine spirit. The Angel of the Lord is standing right between me and this woman. At the day of the judgment, you'll find out. That Angel you're looking at on the picture isn't two feet from where I'm standing right now.
Look here again, sister. You got a friend you want prayed for that's paralyzed. You believe now? Go receive what you've ask for, sister. Believe with all your heart.

90 All of you believe with all your heart?
God bless you sister. While you're standing there, you believe that arthritis left you? [Unclear words] ... just thank the Lord.
All right, come. The little boy, you believe it? Lord, as I lay my hands upon, I pray that in Christ's Name that You'll grant their healing. Amen. Don't doubt brother, just believe now. Come now.
I keep feeling someone thinking that I'm reading someone's mind. Brother, if you don't know no better than that, God be merciful to you. Here, is this the pa... Here, put your hand on mine, sir. If God will reveal to me looking this way, not reading your mind... You take your hand loose if I tell you the truth. And then you'll go home and won't have the asthma no more, stop coughing. If that's right, rise your hand up. Go ahead, brother. God bless you. Come sister, dear. Lord, I pray that You'll heal her and make her well through Jesus' Name.
Just a moment, there's a colored lady keeps coming before me.
Some woman, since that colored woman was prayed for, has been appearing here. The pull is coming from this... Yes, sitting right down there with diabetes, do you believe that the Lord Jesus make you well? You was praying, wasn't you, lady? If that's right, raise up your hand so they can see? All right. Go home and be well. Jesus Christ makes you well. Yes, sir.

91 See the power of the Holy Ghost after healing that little girl? Coming right around there, and that getting together? Brother, when we get in one accord in one place, something happens. It's got to, (see) if you'll quit doubting, and just let the Holy Spirit have its way.
Come, sister, in the Name of Jesus, be healed sister. I lay my hands upon you with the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Be healed in Jesus' Name.
Come, my brother, in the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed brother.
Come sister, just go rejoicing, praising God, in Jesus' Name be healed.
In the Name of Jesus, be healed, sister.
Come sister, and I believe, if you will just believe Him now, in the Name of Jesus Christ be healed. Amen.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed.
Come, come brother, bring your little one. You believe now? In the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed.
Come sister... Name of Jesus Christ be healed. Oh, how can you stand that pressure. The Holy Spirit just pushing its way in, seems like. It just seems like the audience is getting milky looking out there.
That man sitting there seeking for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, sitting back there. Believe with all your heart, sir, and you'll receive it.
Come, sister. In the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, may this brace be took from the baby, and may it be able to walk, in Jesus Name'. Don't doubt...
In the Name of Jesus Christ be healed.
Come sister, in the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, be healed...
The lady there with the back trouble. Jesus Christ makes you well. Believe now. Don't doubt.
Come. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. You believe? If God would tell me your trouble, will you believe it?
That man on the cot, you're believing, sir? That ambulance stretcher, you appeared in front of this man just then. You're a minister. You got asthma. Reverend Boughton, you may go home, be well. Jesus Christ makes you well.
You believe God will heal you? Take that cancer of death away from you? You accept it with all your heart? If you do... You'll die laying there. You can only live by trusting God. If you believe it, and believe that He will make you well, take that what you got, and go home, and get well in the name of Jesus Christ.

92 How many in here believes that Jesus Christ is here? How many believers is here, raise your hand?
Young fellow laying here on this stretcher, do you believe?
How many believes? How many will want to believe? Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe: If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." Do you believe that? Then lay your hands on one another. Lay your hands on one another. Just raise over, everybody. Lay your hands on one another. Here it is. This is it. Now, pray for the person you got your hands on.
Lord Jesus, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I condemn the devil. Come out, Satan. You're defeated. Leave these people go in the name of Jesus Christ.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

As the eagle stirreth up her nest

1 All the things are possible, Lord, I believe.
Let's bow our heads just a moment for prayer.
Gracious Lord, we are approaching Thy throne of mercy in the name of Thy Son, the Lord Jesus. We want to thank You for all the blessings that You have bestowed upon us. How good Thou has been to us. And we pray, Father, that You will continue to be with us. Many are sick and needy, and we pray that Your power will heal them. So glad to pick up these letters returned from the people that's been here, that was once sick, afflicted, and even pronounced by the doctors, they're well now.
God, may there not be a feeble one in our midst at the close of the service. May the grace of God be with us. Those who are coming and seeking salvation, O God, may they find that rock in a weary land, the shelter in the time of storm. And may the great Holy Spirit, Lord, baptize every believer into the body of Christ by His presence and the baptism of His being.

2 Remember those who are convalescing, Lord, in such a way that they can't be moved, hospitalized, and otherwise. We pray, Father, that Your Spirit will heal them.
Now let the Holy Spirit search every heart that's in here tonight. May this be a searching time; may it be a time of sincerity and checking up.
We pray that You'll bless the Word as we read it. And then may the Holy Spirit take everything that's needy here tonight, placing the Word right over it, so we can see that we got a redemptive blessing waiting. Grant it, Father, for we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. You be seated.

3 We certainly had a wonderful day today. I stayed a little long last night in the meeting. The wife and them like not to have got me around to myself for about ten minutes after I left the building, as I had a little too much in the line, I think.
It isn't when you're up there (see?), up there in that glorious anointing, or it isn't when you're down here; it's between that counts, when you're coming from one to the other, and dropping out from that anointing back down to this again. But what does it speak to you? There's a land beyond the river. There's a real place that we can find peace and joy and satisfaction.
And now, the Lord willing, tomorrow night we will give out prayer cards at six-thirty, the boys will, and then... And we haven't got very much more time, have we? Tomorrow night will be Friday, is it? Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, three more nights.

4 Well, that's... Everyone wants to get prayed for and so forth, come right in now and get your prayer cards, and we will call them right into the line, and pray for them, and do everything we can. And if you have to leave before the service is over, to go to the emergency room ... and we'd like for name to come out here, then the Holy Spirit can find whether there's something in the life, when it's under that discernment, see. If you've got something that you have done, or something you have not done, something you ought to have done, see. No matter how much you're prayed for, it'll never leave you until that thing's made right. You could just shake, lay hands, and pour oil on; it won't leave. It'll stay right there.
Look, there was a... Jesus gave His disciples power to cast out devils. How many knows that? Sure. Ten days later we find them all defeated on a epileptic case, see. But when... That devil laid right there. And then when Jesus came, and that devil knowed that he met something that was on a higher level than what disciples had, and he had to come out.
Now, we must always come prayed-up, confessed-up, and ready to be healed. And then if you do that, there's only one thing left---cast the enemy out, that's all. If you've prayed up, and are sure that it's God's will to heal you, and you've prayed up on it, that settles it. See, there's only one thing to do then, only thing a gift can do, is to cast it out. It's all over, see. It's done then. And I'm so glad that we can tell, we know something's happened when it takes place.

Matthew 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is a lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

Matthew 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

Matthew 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

Matthew 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

5 Today was a... This morning early I got up (and I never slept too well last evening), and I got up early this morning, and the Holy Spirit was speaking to me. And He said to me, "Get out; I will use you."
And so, only thing I know to do is just get out. That was all. And I thought, "Well, my car needs the grease changed in it, so I will just..." or the oil, rather, so I went up to the filling station. I thought, "Lord, maybe some of these fellows here." And I talked to a fine Presbyterian boy hauling gasoline, and different ones. Seemed like nothing urgent. And an accident happened on the corner. I said, "Here it is." Walked out there, but nobody hurt, so that wasn't it. So I got my car, I thought, "I'll go back down home."
Started down home, and well, something said, "Just keep on driving."

6 So I've been making my prayer grounds up around Mount Rainier, up here, going back into the bush. And there's something about getting out where nature is, you find God. Just get alone by yourself. And I had little Joseph with me, my little boy, and something said, "Pull off the side of the road here and stop, because it's a ... and watch the ... let the little boy watch the fisherman." Well, they fished about ten minutes and left, so Joseph and I was sitting there. Well, I thought, "Well, we'll drive on up then to the prayer grounds, and then I will let Joseph play around while I read and pray, then we will come back down." I eat that once today, so...
Something wouldn't let me go. And I thought, "Well, Joseph, I got a rag beneath the seat, let's just wash the mats in the church's car. I'm driving their car." So I thought I'd just want to take care of it. And I was washing the floor mats, and I thought, "That's fine."

7 And I had the door open. Joseph, he was doing his on the wheel down there, you know, that little fellow kind of entertaining himself. And all at once, a car stopped, started backing up. Someone thought that somebody in need. And then, when I come to find out, in this car was a woman dying with cancer, a minister's wife. And they had been led very strangely. They'd went to the place where I stay, and I was gone. They left a handkerchief to be prayed for, and started over another pass that they was supposed to go, and something told them, "Turn and go back."
And they went around this a way, was going down, said, "Isn't this strange why we would be coming this way?" And just then, said, "Wonder if them people's ... something's wrong with them there in the car?"

8 And at the same time, I was on the inside of the car, head down, scrubbing up-and-down like that. And I was going to leave within a couple of more minutes; I'd've been pulling on out to the prayer place, and there laid a woman in the back of the car, dying with cancer. How God poured His Spirit out in there!
Isn't it wonderful how He works, how mysteriously He will lead us from place to place? Just make every corner meet just as... That's just not coincidental; that's spiritually led. You believe that, don't you? Sons and daughters of God are led by the Spirit of God.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

9 Now, let us turn in the Scriptures tonight, for the Scripture reading, in the book of Deuteronomy, the thirty-second chapter, and let's begin with the seventh verse and read a portion down to the twelfth verse inclusive:
Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
When the Most High divided ... the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
For the Lord's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
He found him in a desert land, and ... a waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
I would like to take for a text, which, if it be the will of the Lord tonight, odd, strange, but "As the Eagle Stirreth Up Her Nest," fluttereth over her young, takes them on her wings and bears them up.

Deuteronomy 32:7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

Deuteronomy 32:8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 32:9 For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

Deuteronomy 32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

Deuteronomy 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

Deuteronomy 32:12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

10 I have often wondered why that God ever likened His heritage to an eagle. And one day I found out in the Bible that God calls Himself an eagle. He's Jehovah Eagle, and His children are eaglets, young eagles, under the wing of Jehovah.
And, as a naturalist, I like to study nature. My first Bible was nature. How I noticed how everything taking place in nature, and how it had to be God; nothing else could be that but God. And it led me to believe that there was some great supreme force somewhere that controlled all these things. Like we...

11 In India not long ago I was entertained by seventeen different religions one afternoon in the temple of the Jains. They had the Buddha, the Mohammedan, and the Sikhs, the Jains, and what-more. And they are very odd people. But out of all these seventeen religions, most all of them, besides the Mohammedans and few others, they believe in reincarnation. They carry a little mop, and they mop the floor, so they would be sure as they walk to not step on a little fly or an insect, because it might be their uncle, or aunt, or someone that's returned back. How could you ever preach a blood religion to a people that wouldn't kill a fly? see. And so I just had to wait and let God do that Himself. But He certainly did a great thing in India.

12 But if we look at nature and find that how that everything operates, then you'll know that the basis of Christianity, and Christianity, is the only religion that's right. Because Christianity is based on death, burial, resurrection.
Now, it isn't replacement. Now, if I drop this paper on the floor, and said, "Well, I dropped that one; I will put this one back in its place." That's not resurrection; that's replacement. But the same Jesus that went into the ground, the same Jesus come back out of the ground. And resurrection ... or, Christianity is based upon resurrection. Therefore, when you can see the woods, and the trees, and watch...

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

13 Here a few months ... well, be about a year this coming ... about four ... three weeks from now, I was down in Kentucky squirrel hunting. And we'd had a meeting pretty close, about two years before that, on a Methodist campground, for two nights. The Lord did great things amongst the Methodist people. And so they...
The Methodist used to believe in divine healing. John Wesley did. I've got his book, his text book, and so forth, his notes. And so, they used to believe in divine healing. Many of them do yet. And so there's a great revival among the people. So this great campground down there, down in the southern Methodist, they had called me down for a campaign, and I'd spent Saturday and Sunday with them.

14 And Mr. Wood, which formerly was a Jehovah Witness, and his crippled boy, leg drawed back under him, young man, sitting back in the meeting. And his father sitting there criticizing, his mother sitting there praying, the Holy Spirit turned to a place where (there was, I guess, at least eight or ten thousand people), and said, "The young fellow, sitting back there with the crippled leg, his father's a Jehovah Witness. And he is a contractor, his name's Banks Wood. His mother is a Methodist. The young boy's name's David. "Thus saith the Lord, stand on your feet. Jesus Christ makes you whole." Up he got. He don't even know which leg it was now, 'less it'd happen...
So Mr. Wood, he really got saved, and he brought all the rest of his family into (his father, and mother, and all of them), into the covenant of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And he and I were hunting together (we'd been down about two weeks), and he said... It was so awful dry, we had to get down in the low places to find where it's wet enough to walk or the squirrels would hear you. And so he said, "I know where there's a man that's got five hundred acres, but," said, "very doubtful that he'll ever let me hunt, because he's a perfect infidel."
And I said, "That'd be a good fellow for us to meet."

15 So we went over, and he pulled up in front of his house, and he was sitting in the yard, talking to a elderly man. And when we drove up Mr. Wood got out and went around the car, and he said, "Hello, Jim," or whatever his name was.
Said, "How do you do?"
He said, "I don't guess you know me."
He said, "Yes, I do; I believe you're Jim Wood's boy."
He said, "That's right." He said, "I wonder if I could hunt back in here?" Said, "It's so dry. We've been hunting over on another creek, called Dutton, and," said, "it's so dry over there."
He said, "I got five hundred acres here; any son of Jim Wood can have his pleasure hunting anywhere he wants to, or anytime he wants to." Said, "I never had a more honest friend in my life than Jim Wood."
He said, "Thank you." He said, "Now, I've got my pastor along with me."
He said, "Wood, you don't mean to say you've got so low down till you have to carry a preacher with you wherever you go?"
And he said, "Well, I don't know about that, but I..."

16 And I got out of the car. And I dropped around, and I said, "How do you do, sir?"
He said, "How do you do? Well," he said, "and you're the preacher."
Squirrel blood and dirty, oh my, whiskers about that long. And I said, "Yes, sir, I suppose I am."
And he said, "Well, I guess Wood has told you I'm an infidel."
I said, "Well, he said something about it, but I hardly think a man that'd show the kindness that you have would really be an infidel." I said...
He said, "Well, I'm supposed to be."
I said, "I'm glad you said, you was supposed to be."
And he said, "Well," he said, "I tell you what." Said, "I never did see anything that ever could (anymore than just psychology), could ever prove to me there's anything of a God." He said, "I hear these preachers ball out and talk about there was a God, and said He died back yonder a long time ago, two thousand years ago." And said, "What good could a God like that do me that's dead two thousand years ago, after I'm dead?" See?
I said, "Yeah, if that ended it, you're sure right." I said, "That didn't end it."
And he said, "Well, there's... I haven't been to church," he said, "for about fifty years." He was about seventy-five years old.
I said, "That isn't very much to brag about, is it, sir?"
He said, "No, I reckon not." He said, " But there's a preacher that had meeting over here at the---" he said, "at Acton not long ago, on that Methodist campgrounds." He said, "If that guy ever comes in the country again, I'm going to hear him."
I said, "Yes, sir." Brother Wood looked at me and winked, you know. And I said, "Yes, sir." I said, "What was his name?"
Said, "I don't know his name." He said, "But old Aunt Melissie So-and-so lived up here on the hill." Said, "Me and my wife had been going over for two weeks, raising her up and pulling a draw sheet out; she couldn't even move, for cancer of the stomach." And said, "Doctors had give her up months before that." And said, "They couldn't even put her on a bed pan." And said, "Her sister went to that meeting that night." Said, "There's some, maybe, three thousand people out there on the campgrounds." And said, "This preacher, his first night there, looked back in that audience and called this woman by name, and told her who this woman was that she was praying for. And the woman started crying. Said, 'Now take that handkerchief that you bathed them tears with, and go lay it on the woman, for, thus saith the Lord, she will live.'"
And said, "I thought they had the Salvation Army up there on the hill that night, when they got back over there---the screaming and hollering." Said, "we thought that the woman died." And said, "Wife and I got our clothes on, about ten o'clock at night, and went up there, and she was frying fried apple pies, and eating them." And said, "She couldn't even drink barley water that morning." He said, "And now, she don't only do her own work, she does all the neighbors' work."
And I said, "That was wonderful."
And he said, "Now, when that guy ever comes back down here again, I'm going over to hear him."
I said, "Well, would that make you believe in God, if you seen something like that?"
Said, "Well," said, "now, I guess that's something you can see."

17 I said, "Well, that was fine." I picked up a little old apple there. How many knows what a yellow jacket is? And so a yellow jacket was on this apple, and I run it off, and started to eating on the apple. I said, "Them's fine apples."
Said, "Yes, they are."
I said, "How old is that tree?"
He said, "Well," said, "I planted it there." Said, "I guess that tree's about thirty-five years old or forty."
I said, "It produces apples every year?"
He said, "Yeah, sure does."
He thought I was trying to change his subject, you see. So I said, "Well, I want to ask you something." I said "This is about the middle of August, or the last week in August, and," I said, "I noticed the leaves are falling off that tree."
He said "Yes, yeah."
And I said, "Wonder what would make them leaves fall off that tree."
He said, "Saps gone down."
I said, "Where did it go?"
Said, "Went down in the roots."
I said, "Well, what makes it go down there?"
He said, "What are you getting at?"
"Well," I said, "surely, before there's been any frost or anything, something had to warn that sap to go down in the roots."
And he said "Well," he said, "it's just nature."
"Well," I said. "you set a can of water on a post, and see if it'll go down," see.
And he said, "Well, what are you meaning?
I said, "Sir, you'll admit that there's something takes that sap. If it stayed up here it would kill the tree, you'd never get another apple. So something warns that sap, and it goes down into the roots of the tree until spring, and hides, and then it comes up that brings you another crop of apples."
Said, "That's right."
"Well," I said, "the same intelligence that told that tree, that sap in that tree, 'Get down in the roots, it's coming winter time,' before you even have a cold spell or a frost, 'get down there and hide,' that's the same intelligence that told me that that woman was going to live."
He said, "You're not that preacher!?"
I said, "I am." There ... see.
Well, he said, "You know what? Come here, I want to shake your hand." Said, "I never thought of that."
I said, "Mister, God is all around you. Who can make a flower one color, and another one another color, the same variety, on the same sun, on the same...? See? Make one pink, and the other one red, and the other one white, and so forth. God. God is in nature, if you'll just study Him. He lives in nature."

18 When I begin to see that God called Himself an eagle, and called His children eagles, His prophets, then I wondered why. And I got to studying about an eagle. An eagle is a great bird. Now, the very word eagle... There's forty different kinds of eagles that we know of. Eagle means "ripper with the beak." And then, a eagle is a strange bird. He can fly higher than any other bird there is. There's not another bird can follow an eagle. If a hawk would try to follow that eagle, he'd disintegrate in the air. He's not built for it. An eagle can soar so high that no other bird can come near him. He'd go plumb out of sight, just go right up.
Well now, it won't do him any good to get up there unless He's built to live while he's up there. And that's the reason that God called His prophets eagles. Higher you go, the further you can see away.
Well then, if he hasn't got an eye that he can see, his eye will compare with his climbing, then what good would he get up there? if he was blind?

19 So that's the way many people, try to climb so high, and they're blind after they get there. So what good does it do to get up there? See? You think you'll get your Ph.D., double-L.D., D.D.D., Q.S.D., and all the other kind of degrees. But what if you got up there and you're not qualified, you'd be blind to the very thing you climbed on. It wouldn't do no good; you can't see back no more. As the brother said about the key the other day he left ... or, the man left.
So an eagle, in order to go up, he has to be a special built bird. And a man, to be a servant of the Lord, is a special person. He has to be changed on the inside, and made over again. That's the reason God calls His children, His prophets, the eagle. He has to climb up. His eye.

20 And another thing, if that eagle tried to climb up there with just an ordinary feathers, likes in a crow, or like in a pigeon, why, every feather would come out of him.
Did you ever try to pull a feather out of an eagle? You'd better get a pair of pliers and put your feet on him, because them feathers really stay there. If they didn't, it would drop the eagle when he got up there in those spheres. Where the other birds... So you see, he has to be a special bird.

21 Another thing about an eagle. An eagle is a special bird because he will never build his nest on the ground. He builds his nest way high.
He likens that to His church. You are a city that sits on a hill, not in a valley. You're a city that sits on a hill, that can be seen far off. A lighted candle, it can be seen far out. The church sitting high, with high expectations, high ambitions.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

22 I haven't got much hopes for a pastor's church that hasn't got ambitions to better themselves day by day, and year by year. A church that's really a church of the living God will never stop, say, "Well, I just come in. I guess it's all right now." That ain't the church of God. He's got an ambition to press on.
"Well, I've done my part; I brought one sinner in this year, and he got saved." Brother, that's not the ambition of the church of God. If he brings one, he wants another, another, another, another, another. There's no end to it. It just keeps on climbing up, see. We want to have an ambition and expectations. God wants us to be that way.

23 Then I want you to notice another thing. A eagle renews his youth. Did you know that? A eagle actually renews his youth. Now, he will get so old till he can't hardly fly, and then all at once something happens to him. Now, he's just the same age, but he gets a youthful feeling about him, and he just restores himself. He's a good eagle again. Now, the Bible said that the eagle renews his youth.
And I remember the first time I was in a Pentecostal meeting, it was in Mishawaka. I was a young Baptist preacher up there. And I heard these people. They had signs on the back of their cars, and I thought, "I believe I'll just go in; it's a religion meeting." And I sat down in the back of the meeting, and I heard them up there preaching. Oh, my! I never heard such preaching in all my life. And that night I thought, "I believe I will get on the platform."
They said, "All preachers come to the platform." There was hundreds of them. And so, that day I'd been noticing all the young preachers preaching about what Jesus had done and all about it. And, oh, I thought they had a wonderful message. I never heard of such before."
And they'd speak in tongues, and shout, and dance, and run all around. I thought, "Whew. They've got poor manners, but they're sure having good time with it, so ... I guess that's all right."
So that night, on the platform, he said, "I want each minister just raise up and say where he's from, what's his name."
So it come to my time, I said, "William Branham, evangelist, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Baptist," sat down.

24 Then they brought that night, for the night meeting, an old colored man out, a great big long, old frock-tailed preacher's coat, like we used to use in the south, velvet collar, just a little rim of white hair around his head. Poor old fellow could hardly get out there. He says, "Wells, I's going to tell you." He says, "I'm going to take my text tonight [I believe it was in Job 7:27 or something like that]: ' Where was you when I laid the foundation of the world? Declare unto me. For their bands ... when the morning stars sang together, and the sons of God shouted for joy?'"
And I thought, "My, why don't they put some of them young fellows out there? An old man, like that, before about three thousand people? Well, they oughtn't to put that old man out there. He's just so stiff he could hardly get along."

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

25 Now, all the brethren had been telling what had gone on down here on earth, he started back there about ten thousand years before the world was ever formed, when the sons of God was shouting for joy, and the morning stars was singing together. He brought it across the skies, and down the horizontal rainbow in about five minutes. Directly he jumped up into air and said, "Whoopee!" skipping his feet together, and kicked around there and said, "You'ven't got enough room up there for me to preach," walked off the platform.
I said, "Brother, that's what I want. If it'll make an old man act like, what would it do for me? And I'm not twenty-five years old."
I tell you, it renews his youth. Is that right? When the Holy Spirit comes in, it makes the old act young. Yeah. They've become eagles. There something about it, I never forget that. I just might make a quotation here.

26 That night I slept out in the corn patch, and I took my old... I had an old Model-T Ford, it would go thirty miles an hour: fifteen this way and fifteen this a way. And I took the back seat out, and the front seat, and put my little seersucker trousers between them, and pressed them out. I had just a dollar and fifty cents to get back home on, buy me some gasoline. I got some stale rolls, and got the hydrant, something to eat.
And I'd prayed all night. I said, "Lord, I never seen such a people in my life! I never heard of such! Now, I don't go with their manners, because they just haven't got any manners." But I said, "But I sure think they're the happiest people. They're not ashamed of their religion."

27 And so the next morning, I come in and sat down. A little T-shirt on, you know, and seersucker trousers. We Baptists, we even wore a turned around collar, you know. So we got up there, you know, on occasion. So I'm ... I sat down there, and I sat down by a colored brother. Now, they had to have their meeting... That's been several years ago, and they had it up north, for their convention. Two or three different denominations of Pentecostals was having their convention. I think they've emerged now, they's called PA of W, and a PA of JC, or I think it's called the United Pentecostal Church now. So then... I think that's right. So however, I was sitting back there, and I sat down by a colored brother. And so this young fellow walked up to the platform, and said, "That young minister was on the platform last night, his name is Branham. He was an evangelist, a Baptist. We want him to bring the message this morning."
Oh, my! I scooted down in the seat. I'd never been before a microphone in my life. And I didn't know what to do---and seersucker trousers and T-shirt. I just scooted down.
So in a few minutes he announced it again, said, "Anybody on the outside, that young minister named William Branham," said, "tell him to come in. We want him to bring the message this morning." They sang another song and waited. I just hunkered way down.
And this colored brother said to me, "Do you know him?"
"Oh?" I said, "Yes, sir."
Said, "Go get him."
And I said, "Look, brother, come here. Hold over." I said, "I'm him."
"Oh, you is?"
I said, "Yeah, I'm him."
He said, "Well, go on up there."
I said, "T-shirt and seersucker trousers?"
He said, "Them people don't care what you dress like. Go on up there."
I said, "No. No." I said, "Sh-h-h, keep still. Don't say nothing about it," like that.
He said, "Anybody found William Branham?"
Said, "Here he is! Here he is."
I felt so funny, little seersucker trousers on, and T-shirt. I did have enough hair to be bushed up a little then, you know. So I walked up the platform, and I thought, "What am I going to say? All these people's so happy like that." I never forget, I took my text from over in Job. I beg your pardon, I took my text from over in Luke: The rich man lifted up his eyes in hell and then he cried. And I said, "There was no children there; then he cried."
Somebody said, "Amen!"
I never heard that before when I was preaching.
And I said, "There was no flowers there; then he cried. There was no God there; then he cried."
They started going, "Amen! Amen!"
I kept saying, "No flowers there, no children there, no Christians there. Then he cried, and then he cried." Then I cried.

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

28 Oh, God is wonderful. Isn't He? Renews our youth. He renews our youth like the eagle.
Now, the eagle is a great bird. I could stay on this till morning, just about the eagle.
One of the most saddest things I ever seen, I thought, in my life. I was at Cincinnati not long ago, about three or four years ago, and I took my children up there to see the zoo. And I had my little fellows, and I was leading them around, showing them the zoo, while mother was getting the dinner on the table. And we was having a Saturday afternoon outing. And I went down to a big cage. And there I saw something.
I always felt sorry for any animal was caged up. I can't even have a canary at my house, see. I don't like to see nothing penned up. No, sir. I don't like anything in bondage. I believe in freedom.
And I go to the zoo and see those lions walking the floor, and... When I was in Africa, they gave me two little pet lions, and I could've brought them back, but I said, "If I'd..." Said, "What will I do with them?" Said, "In a year they'll be great big fellows."
Said, "Put them in a zoo."
I said, "Turn them loose, right here on the desert." I won't never put anything in jail. I don't like anything in bondage.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

29 And so I was walking around, and they'd just caught a big eagle, great big beautiful bird, and had put him in this cage. And that fellow, all the feathers was beat off his face and head. His wings was all beat off like this. And I stood and looked at him. And he'd walk back there to the cage, and walk back like this again. And he'd start off, and take those big wings a flopping, and he'd slam himself against that cage, and fall back again like that, lay there and look up towards the skies, those weary eyes look around.
Why? Oh, he's a heaven-born bird. He lives in the heaven. He couldn't free himself. He's absolutely hopeless. Somebody has caught him, some smart guy caught him and put him in there. He'd beat the feathers off of his wings. He'd beat the feathers off of his head. He lay in there with his feet up, those big eyes looking up there where he really belonged. How he had longed to be free, and spread his big wings and fly through the heavens, screaming, he was to be free again. He could look, but he was in a cage.

30 I thought, "That's the most pitiful thing I ever seen in my life. I thought, "If they'd sell it to me, I'd buy that eagle right now and turn him loose, if I had to half starve and allowance my children at the table to pay for that eagle to let him loose. They wouldn't do it.
And I went down there and sat down there. I couldn't keep from crying. Then something said to me, "You've seen worse than that. To see men who's born to be sons of God shackled down by creeds and denominations and people that says the days of miracles is past; when he's actually born to be an eagle to fly in the lights of the heaven yonder, brother, under the power and supernatural strength of God, to walk by faith and not by sight. And some shrewd fellow has caught him and bound him down into something by a creed or something: 'Repeat this creed and that's all you have to do.'"

31 Oh, brother, to get that man out of a cage... To see sons and daughters of God caged in, it's a pitiful... The most sad thing I ever seen is to know that men and women who are born ... see women walking the street half-naked, in these little old clothes around here, and know that that woman is absolutely possessed of an evil spirit. That's right.
Sister, let me tell you something. You say, "I'm as pure as a lily. I wear them."
But do you realize something? Let me tell you, at the day of the judgment you're going to answer for committing adultery. The Bible said, "Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
You might be as pure as a lily, but you dress yourself like that, and sinful men of the world look at you, he's going to have to answer for committing adultery with you, and you're going have to answer for presenting yourself in the same way before him. That's right. These little old dirty, sexy clothes that women wear. And it's getting into our Pentecostal ranks too. It's too bad! No, sir, don't you never do that.

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

32 A lady said to me... I said something like that one time, this woman said to me, said, "Well, Brother Branham, they don't sell any other kind of clothes but this kind."
I said, "They still sell goods, and they have sewing machines. There's no excuse at all." That's right.
Brother, when this old heart gets right with God there, and that eagle spirit begins to move up, you climb up out of those things of the world. The trouble of it is, we're not attending prayer meeting, attending church, and doing what's right. We're staying home to see some movie play or something like that on our televisions, uncensored programs, some of them dirty jokes and things they're cracking. And that's the wrong thing to put before our young generation of people. Used to be it was wrong for the people, holiness people, to go to movies. The devil pulled one on them; he put them right in the house. That's exactly right.
Oh, it's too bad! But, brother, let me tell you. They might put you in a cage, but you're still an eagle. I can tell you there's a way out tonight. Yes, indeedy. Yes, sir.

33 You know, it behooves us to study the eagle just a little bit. We could stay on it for hours, but let's study this eagle just for a little while and see what he is.
Now, it's pitiful to see that sons and daughters are born to be sons and daughters of God... Up here in Iowa not long ago, to stop just a second again. A fellow taken me to dinner with him. And he went outdoors, and looked, he said (He raised hogs. That's legitimate, that's all right, if he wants to do that.) he said, "I've got the best hog herd in this country." He said, "This herd, my father started; he raised all of us children, left me the herd. I've raised all of my children. I will leave them the herd," and so forth.
And I said, "That's very fine, sir."
He said, "I own all this ... [break in tape].

34 ...not a snake could climb to it, way up in this place. Then he will go out and get green briars, and come back and weave that mess through and through, to be sure that no wind's going to blow it, because it's anchored in the rock.
Oh, my! I love that. God builds His church anchored in the rock. "Upon this rock I'll build my church." Anchored on this rock. He's the chief cornerstone.
And when he builds his nest up there, then... Now, it's all full of stickers. So now, a mother eagle, she's going to be sure that her little ones are going to have a nice place to stay, so she goes out and gets every thing that she can. She will kill a rabbit, eat the meat, take the fur and poke it in these little places, every little crevice, and tighten it, till it's just as snug and neat as it can be when the nest is complete. Now, what's she getting ready? She's getting ready for her little ones. And she wants them to have a nice little soft place to walk around and so forth. She's taking care of them. How God does His children the same way. Oh, how He blesses our heart. When the little eagles are born, little soft nest to walk around in.

35 You remember the first time when you was borned again, when the Holy Spirit come to you, and you become a Christian? You felt like you was just walking on feathers, didn't you?
I remember when I got saved. Why, I was about forty yards from the house, a board walk running up there, and, I tell you, I don't believe I ever touched a board going in.
And mother said, "What's the matter with you, Billy?"
I said, "I just don't know, Ma. I just can't tell you."
And I picked up my Bible; I couldn't read it. I picked up a song book; I couldn't read it. I laid it down and went around behind the house. There was a railroad track back there, and I got on that railroad track, and I had to let the steam off somewhere. I run down the track just as hard as I could, and jumped way up in the air and hollered, "Whoopee!" just as hard as I could. I had to give vent to that feeling. Oh, I was floating in the air. My! that new birth--

36 -when this little eagle comes. Oh, he loves his home!
Now, the mother eagle goes out and gets fishes, and she gets rabbits, and she gets sheep or whatever she can get, and she fixes this little eagle a nice diet. She be sure that junior gets the right thing.
I'm so glad that Jehovah sees that His little eaglets gets the right kind of food. He will put it before you, whether you want to eat it or not. You'll have to turn your head. But if you're a born eagle, "My sheep [My eagles] know my voice." They know the food.
Said, "You love me, Peter?" Said, "Feed my sheep."
I like that, "Feed my sheep." "Feed my sheep. Don't drive them; feed them. Feed them the Word; they like sheep food." You know, some people don't like this sheep food. The sheep food is that good old-time feeling of old-time salvation, just as free as you can feel, and no condemnation.
Why, we used to stand, and clap our hands, and sing, "I feel all right; there's no condemnation in my heart," having a great time. And of course, it'll cause the little chickens to look up and say, "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Fanaticism."

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

37 There was a farmer not long ago; he was an ambitious farmer. He didn't have very much of a barn. But he just built the fine crops, and done everything he could to take care of his stock. Another fellow had fine tractors, but he was too lazy to farm.
Well, when the fall of the year come, he cut his weeds and put them in the barn. He had a beautiful barn, oh, my, a fine barn. But the other fellow, he didn't take time about the barn, but he was seeing that his animals got good feed.
So there was a calf born in each barn. And the next year when springtime come, you know, probably the calf that was born in the good barn---great big high spires, you know, and plush seats. You know what I'm talking about, so you can read between the lines---but he didn't have much food.

38 So then, they turned them out, both of them did, to get a little spring breeze. Oh, my, this little calf had been in a little bitty mission down there somewhere, a little church, you know, he was all fat and round and full of vitamins. My, he got out there, and that wind begin to rush over the top of him, he was full of ginger. He begin to kick up his heels and jump around and around and around. He was feeling good!
They turned the other little calf out---had been fed on ecclesiastical weeds, you know---when he got out there, poor little fellow, the wind was just about to blow him down, staggering around like that. And he stuck his little face up to the crack of the fence, and looked through, and seen this little calf just happy and jumping, and jumping all around, said, "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such fanaticism."

39 Oh, I like to have sheep food, good food, the power of God, the Word of God! The Holy Ghost feeds on it. That's what the church needs tonight, is good solid gospel preaching, gospel teaching, gospel salvation, and a gospel Holy Ghost. Amen! We are not so interested in what ... this nation might not need a president, the city might not need a new mayor, but what we need today is a good old-time Saint Paul's revival, and the Bible Holy Ghost back in the church again. That's what we need, sheep fed on sheep's food, not ecclesiastical weeds.

40 Now, this little nest was all fixed up, and she brought him the food, and he eat, and oh, my, he was growing. Now, the first thing you know, he's begin to put on some feathers. You know, begins to come into the second work of grace. And he begins to get feathered out pretty well, you know. So mother eagle begins to look down, and she begins to think, "You know, I never want my children to become a chicken, that's all."
You know, God's just determined for that. And He doesn't want us to be earthbound chickens. So the mother eagle said, "I've got to see to this." So the first thing, you know, she's got to get them eagles out of that nest, that's all. If they stay there, they'll be earthbound.
And that's the way it is. You just... I've often wondered why we went away and got great education for schooling, for to be a preacher, and then we come in with all the history of the church and all this and all the vitamins and everything, and then turn back around and say, "Well, of course, the days of miracles is past."

41 How can you ever get a man that's freezing to death, how can you ever thaw him out by a painted fire? What if a man's freezing, you say, "You see that great big painted fire there? 'On the day of Pentecost there came a sound like a rushing mighty wind; it filled all the house where they were sitting.'"
"Yes. I'm shivering."
"Oh, the Holy Ghost fell upon them, tongues of fire. Oh, that was a great thing; but that was back, see. That's a painted fire. You can't get warm by that."
If we are needing fire today, then we can't get warm by a historical fire. What good does a historical God do, if the God of Abraham isn't the same God today, the God of Paul ain't the same God today? If the Holy Ghost that fell on Pentecost isn't the same today, then where are we at? That's right.

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

42 It's like giving your canary birds a lot of seeds with vitamins in them and make good wings, and keeping him in a cage all the time, see. He can't use his wings. What's the use of learning all about God, if you try to say He died two thousand years ago and there's no more to it? I believe that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever! He lives! And He said, "Because I live, you live also." Amen. I'm glad for eagle food. That's right.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

43 Now, the old mother eagle's determined that they won't get adjusted to that nest too much. And God's just determined that a newborn babe isn't going get too adjusted to this world. That's right. He don't want us to get adjusted here. He's going to get ready to take us on a flight.
A few days before the old mother eagle takes her little ones on a flight, you know what she does? First, she gets up there. She stands up on the nest. And some eagles are fourteen feet from tip to tip, the most mammoth bird we got. He will stand on this nest. The old mother eagle is usually the largest of the two. And she will walk back and forth over this nest, and she will scream. "Caw." That's so shrill that a eagle gives. What's she trying to do? She's trying to teach her babies the sound of her voice. They're going into some perils in a little while, so they've got to know the sound of mother's voice.
Oh, I tell you, it pays you to listen to the voice of God, the still small voice that speaks deep and rich. It attracts the attention of His people.

44 And she walks back and forth over this nest. And then, sometimes, she will spread those great big wings out, flutter them back and forth. And them little eagles, it'll just kind of shake them down a little, you know. And they'll look back, and "Oh, mama, what a great bird you are!"
Oh, I just love that, because God's got two wings, the Old and New Testament. He spreads them out, and we look at it, and look up and say, "How great Thou art! How great Thou art!" When we hear that He opened the Red Sea and brought the children of Israel across, He raised Lazarus from the dead, He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, New and Old Testament, the same God, the same Jehovah, the same Holy Spirit, right in the church today, moving back and forth: "See how great I am? I'm the same that delivered Moses. I'm the same that delivered Daniel. I'm the same One that brought the Hebrew children out of the fiery furnace. I'm the same One was at Sodom and Gomorrah. I'm the same One that talked to Abraham. Oh, I AM that I AM. I AM, present now!"

Exodus 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

Exodus 14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

John 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

45 Oh, God's going to take His little eagles on a solo flight one of these days. Yes, sir. What's He getting ready?
See, they never knowed nothing but a nest. They never knowed nothing but a denomination or a creed. And they're eagles, so God's walking back and forth, even in this meeting, night after night, showing what He is. He is "I AM that I AM," He said. He's God, He's Jehovah Eagle, trying to show the people that He's the same great powerful bird, saying, "See these great big wings of mine? [mother eagle] Now, you're oldest brother and them that flies in here to see you once in a while, I took them out of the nest on these wings. Believe in Me." Oh, hallelujah!
I look back to Pentecost. He shoves His wings out, "I that give them Pentecost in AD '33 gives Pentecost to My children yet today. Amen. I'm Jehovah Eagle. I bear you away on eagle's wings. I'm the same yesterday, today. I was the One who brought the Hebrew children from the fiery furnace. I was the One that spoke to Moses in the burning bush. I'm the same. I want you to step out. If you're sick, if you're needy, I want you to step out! I AM that I AM. I'm Jehovah, hear My voice, listen to Me." Don't take the voice of some chicken trying to talk to you, or some scavenger. You better listen to mama eagle. This is her voice right in the Word. What's He going to do?

Exodus 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

46 Now, these big wings, they've got to trust those wings. Now, she looks her brood over, since they've been in this old ecclesiastical nest, and they don't look very good. Now, they got a lot of loose feathers in them, and she knows, if she ever takes one of them eagles up in the air, and drops him with them loose feathers, he'll break his neck.
And there's just too much doubt in the church yet to take a flight. That's right. Got too many quills, too many loose feathers, so you know what He does? He gives it the third work of grace. She stands back there, and takes these big wings, and she begins to flop them like that, and a mighty rushing wind comes right through there, and all the loose feathers begin to fly.
Oh, when that mighty rushing wind comes from heaven, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, all the doubting feathers will fly out of you! Amen! Now, I feel religious. Amen. Begin to feel like talking to you now. Oh, in them old doubting days, little old feathers sticking in there, saying, "Days of miracles is past. There's no such a thing as the Holy Ghost." Let that rushing mighty wind come down, and wings from the New and Old Testament begin to fly back and forth, saying, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever," now all the little old pin feathers begin to fly. You better not start off with them in you, if you'll do you'll bust up in the air somewhere. You'll never take that solo flight.
She's getting ready.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

47 Well, she fans all the feathers out of them, see if they're all good and tight. Now she's fixing to take them on a flight. They don't want to go; they're pretty well satisfied walking in that nest. So you know what she does next? She flies right into that nest, and takes that big bill and picks that feathers out; she picks up the sheepskin, and dumps it outside, and throws it over the side of the wall. There isn't nothing left in there but stickers, and these little fellows is having a hard time.
You know, about the first time that you ever got the Holy Ghost, you know, and everybody begin to talk about you, and make fun of you, and everything else. Do you remember how that was? Every time you sat down, it's a sticker. And back there, you know... But He don't want you to get adjusted to this world. He's ready to take you somewhere. Sometimes He lets a disease hit you. He'll let a cancer, let a tumor, or something hit you to see if you're ready for a flight. Oh! See if your ready. Where's all the feathers? See if everything's right.

48 "Yes, the doctor looked at me and said, 'You got three more minutes to live.'"
"Yes, but if I'd listen to that, I'd been dead years ago." But He just blowed all the loose feathers out somehow or another.

49 And the little old eagle, he will start up and everything's miserable, tight. He'll sit down, "oomp," he sticks his feet. And he gets stickers all in the nest, them old green briars. She puts them in there for a purpose.
And the Bible tell us that our trials are worth more to us than precious gold; and then we fuss about it. "Oh, must I be carried home to heaven on a flowery bed of ease, while others fought to win the prize and sailed through bloody seas?"
Why, we American people just wants to sit back and be entertained. And if somebody says something, "Say, I heard you joined the holy-rollers?"; "Well, I guess I won't go back over no more, wife." Oh, my, you're a poor eagle. You might be a buzzard, but you're not an eagle. That's one thing sure. Let me tell you, brother, yes, sir. If you're a vulture, eat the things of the world; but a eagle eats fresh meat. Hallelujah!
An eagle of God eats the Word of God and that alone. He has no ... He can't stomach that old thing of the world. That's right. It won't digest. He just couldn't stand it anyhow. He wants fresh meat. He wants the freshness of the Holy Spirit, the meat of God right out of the Bible. He longs for it! He will drive through snow storms and everywhere. When he hears there's a revival going on, he will take off to it just as hard as he can. Jesus said, "Where the carcass is, the eagle's will be gathered."
Whether they're Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, or whatever they was, when the power of God begins to fall according to the Word of God, real genuine eagles will come to that feast. There ain't nothing in the world will keep them away from there. They'll go anyhow, where the power of God... You can say they're holy-rollers or whatever you want to, they'll go just the same, don't make it ... because their eagles. They eat on that. That's what they feed on.

Matthew 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Luke 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

50 This mother, there comes a time she's got to stir up this nest, and she throws it all out, and throws all the soft part out, and puts some trials on you. Now, what would a little buzzard do sitting in that nest? He'd never get out of there, that's all. But a eagle, he stirs his nest and he's ready.
Now, one day she says, "Now I think it's time to take my little children on a flight." And she comes screaming out of the air. "Here comes mama!" They know it. Just like a church filled with the Holy Ghost, when the Holy Ghost begins to fall, hands will go up, "Hallelujah, He's here!" Amen. "Oh, I'm so glad!" Why, here sits your neighbor there---you don't care who's sitting there. "Mother Jehovah is coming into the nest. Glory!"
Let Him fall tonight! Let Him scatter His big wings across this place here, pack every person from a wheelchair, every sinner to the altar. He will come riding in on the wings of an eagle. Amen. Oh, I feel good. Yes, sir, He will come in, if you'll let Him, if you'll invite Him. You hear that scream come, "My sheep know my voice, they can tell that."

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

51 Oh, I was talking to a doctor not long ago, and he said, "Billy..." I was having this meeting in a high school auditorium at Jeffersonville, at my home. And the people got shouting and praising the Lord down there because some things happened. And the doctor said to me... I said, "What do you think about that, Doc?"
He said, "Billy, you know what? I think them people are just excited."
I said, "You're a doctor, and you know you can't be excited unless something's there to excite you."
Oh, glory to God! Sure it does. It's the Holy Ghost comes in and excites us! We're ready to take a flight one of these days to glory. Sure it's excitable. If that wasn't excitable, I'd change it for something that was excitable.

52 I can prove to you by science that anything that doesn't move is dead. That's right. You know, if a baby's born, and it don't cry, it don't squall, it don't do nothing, that baby's dead. That's what's the matter with the church today; we've got too many stillborn babies. You know what the doctor usually does? Pick him by the heels, and give him a little posterior protaplasma stimulation. That fixes him up just right. And what the church needs today is a good old-time stimulation of the power of the Holy Ghost to come into the church, tear us up and shake us, stir up the nest and blow out the loose feathers.
Pentecost needs a stirring. Amen. Blow out the loose feathers. We're getting too much doubt among us, superstitions, and "Could it be so? Would it so." Certainly it's so. God's Word said it's so. Eagle's food proves it's so. Amen. Sure it is. Eagle Jehovah comes in and stirs up the nest. And the church is getting too ... it's stagnated. Yeah. Better come in and stir it up.

53 Well you say, "Brother Branham, I've already got the Holy Ghost." Yeah, but it gets some loose feathers in there, see.
I was standing by the sea one time. It was Lake Michigan, really, where it was at. And I noticed that thing, the waters a blasting in and blasting out. I stood there and thought, "Floods of joy over my soul, like the sea billows roll." I commenced to singing. I thought, "You know what, though? There isn't one more drop of water in this ocean, or this lake, than there is when it's perfectly still." That's right. It's got the same amount of water, but it's jumping and carrying on. I thought, "Well, what's the matter? It's got a revival going on. What does that do? It washes all the trash over on the shore." That's what we need today is a good old-fashioned God sent revival to get the doubt and trash out of our hearts, and wash it up on the shore, and forget about it. Amen, clean the sea. Amen. That's what we need, a good old dashing.

54 I like something that's got life, moving. I was a state game warden in Indiana. I used to pass by a spring. That was the prettiest spring I ever seen. Summer or winter, it would always, "bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble." I thought, "Well, you know, that's the happiest thing I ever seen." I sat down one day, and I said, "I want to ask you something, Mr. Spring. Why're you so happy? What are you bubbling all the time about? Are you so happy because that rabbits drink from you?
"No," he'd say, if he could talk.
I said, "Well then, are you happy because, maybe, that the cattle drink from you?"
"Nope."
I said, "What makes you bubble then. Because I drink from you?"
He'd say, "Nope, Brother Branham, not that."
I'd say, "What makes you bubble?"
He'd say, "It isn't me bubbling; it's something behind me a-bubbling me." That's what it is. That's what the church needs today, is the Holy Ghost behind them to bubble a little bit, throw that unbelief out, and the trash, and thinking that the days of miracles is past, and so forth. Let's get back to Jehovah's great power, Jehovah's great eagle food, and believe that we're children of Abraham, God's called eagles. Back to the gospel, back to the Word, back to the truth, back to the food, angel's food, sons of God's food. The eagle stirring her nest, getting ready for a flight. Yes. Oh, it's grand to know these things!

55 Then the first thing you know, an old mother eagle gets up there, and she screams, and they know her voice. Then she goes down to where them little eagles are, and she gives them a lecture: "You're fixing to take a flight now. Something's fixing to happen, but don't you get scared. If you trust me..."
Like Abraham, last night. "Come out here, take your own son, take him up here on top of the mountain and cut his throat. Will you trust Me?"
"I trust you, Lord," said Abraham. Oh, my!

56 Something happened to you; you got sick. Something happened, this one happened, somebody made fun of you. The boss said he'd fire you if he caught you praying again. He's going to give you trial to see what you are. Every son that cometh to God must be tried and chastened. That's it. If you cannot stand chastisement, you become illegitimate children, and not the children of God. When a man comes up---I don't care, he might shout, he might speak with tongues, he might prophesy, might do whatever he will---and if he comes into that trial and backs up, he's not a son of God. No, sir! If it takes his life, he stands there just the same, because he knows who he has believed, and is persuaded He's able to keep that which is committed to Him against the day. Amen.

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

57 Now, mother eagle says, "Get ready, children, I'm going to give you you're solo flight this morning." So she bats her big wings up, and each one of these little eagles climbs upon them big wings. Oh, I love that! Upon the New and Old Testament both. Climb up on them like that, and say, "All right, fasten my hold right down." Reach over and take the mouth, catch on one of those great big feathers (that you couldn't pull out with a pair of pliers), put his little beak around there and catch it in there, hook his little hooker around there, take these little claws, hook them down into the wings, and say, "All right, Mammy, I'm ready." Oh, my!

58 Jehovah. What? Almighty God, El Shaddai, the breasted One, the big Eagle, the winged One, the Bible, Old and New Testament. Just take your hold, whatever you have need of. Put your hold right onto God's promises, sit right there. No matter what takes place, hold on! Hold to God's unchanging hand. You've reached up, and said, "I'm the Lord that heals all thy diseases," take ahold of it.
If He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe; If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover," take hold of it. "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they shall be filled."
Pastor says there's no such a thing today, take hold of what God said. Put your hook around there and hold. You're fixing to take a flight now. Remember, it looks dangerous. Hold on! Oh, I'm so glad. Why a buzzard couldn't do that if he had to. A chicken don't even have a hook in his bill, he'd slip off before he got out of the nest. First time anybody said something about him, he'd say, "Oh well, I guess it wasn't right."
Oh, but a eagle's a special built bird. He hooks that little old hooker around there, and puts them feet in there, and he knows how to hold on. Hold to the wings of the cross, brother, let her ... let the storms rock, just keep on going, moving up.

Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

59 She spreads those big wings, picks those little eagles up, feels the weight of them like that, and she gives a big jump off the top of this rock. Now, these little fellows never did feel that wind before. That's a strange thing to them.
You remember, the first time you felt, as eaglets, that mighty rushing wind coming down from heaven set upon you, and cloven tongues like fire sat upon each of them? You remember when He struck you? It was a strange thing, you Methodists, and Baptists, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Catholic, and Pilgrim Holiness, Nazarenes, and so forth. You'd been born. Sure, you'd been borned again a Christian by believing. But when that wind begin to come, oh, loose feathers begin to fly. I'm telling you, something took place. It was getting you ready for your flight!

60 So the little eagle held on. The old mother took her wings and she jumped off the nest. She begin to rise higher, higher into the blue. Oh, my! Away on up, on up, on up, way on, way on. If there'd happen to be a chicken on there, he's gone by that time. He'd just disintegrate and fall off. But these little eagles are special built. They know God.
God called you; He knowed you, and ordained you, and put your name on the Lamb's Book of life before the world was ever formed. That's what the Bible said.
The antichrist in the last days will deceive all upon the earth whose names were not written in the Lamb's book of life from the foundation of the world. That's right. What are you scared about!? Take the ride!
Don't be scared, brother in the wheelchair. Don't be scared, sister. Don't be scared, brother. You with the cancer, heart trouble, or whatever it is, don't be scared! God's invited you to take a hold of the wings of the cross and this Bible here, God's promise, and fly away into the blue.
Said, "I wasn't up there before, Brother Branham." Hold to Him; He will take you up there.
"How can I do it, Brother Branham? I don't... I never did move my hand. I..." Don't make any difference, move it anyhow! God said so. Amen.

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

61 I know you think I'm crazy; but if I am, just let me alone. I'm more happier this way than I was the other way. So I'm satisfied this way. The other way I had worries, and frets, and everything. Now there's no condemnation, I just feel fine, see. So I like this. Yes, sir. In the way that's called heresy, that's the way I worship the God of our fathers. That's right.

Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

62 Now, the old mother eagle goes so far up till she becomes out of sight almost. You know what she does to them little eagles when she gets up there? (I've watched them a many time.) She shakes them every one off.
"Oh, you cruel mother!" Oh, no: "You smart mother." She shakes them every one off in the air because she's not afraid. If they had confidence enough to put their confidence... She ... they've done looked all over her big wings. They knowed what she was. They had seen, and she'd told them what their brothers was the year before. And she knowed they were flying; they knowed they flying. She knowed they were eagles, and she wasn't afraid to shake them off.
God's not afraid to put you on a trial. When He said to Job ... Satan said, "Oh, yeah, you got him all hedged up." Said, "Make him ... break that hedge around him; I will make him curse you to your face.
He said, "He's in your hands."
Oh, my! God's not afraid to put His eagles to a flight test. He's not afraid; He's depending on you. He wasn't afraid to put Abraham to a flight test. He was depending on him. He's not afraid to put Abraham's seed to a flight test, because He's depending on you.

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

63 She shakes those little eagles off right out in the air. She said, "All right, children, flop for yourself." Hmm, my, one of them, you know, he... Then what does she do? She swoops out to one side, sails along watching them. The first thing you know, one of these little eagles is on his back. He's a flopping as hard as he can. Next one has his face down, he's flopping as hard as he can. But she's a watching them. They don't care, they're having a Pentecostal jubilee. Just flopping around, they don't care. If they get topsy-turvy, get out of balance, they are trusting in the great, all-sufficient power of their mother. If one of them little fellows get out of topsy-turvy, and gets turning over too fast or something, she will swoop right under him, and pick him up, and bring him up back in the grace again. Amen. Glory.

64 Yes, sir! Don't you be afraid when He's took you up in these spheres that you don't even understand, yet it's written in His Word because you look through His wings. He promised it! Just flop. My, I can hear them hollering, "Hallelujah! Glory to God! Praise God! How am I doing? I don't care, but I'm just having a big time. Glory to God! Praise God! Hallelujah!"
And the old mother hen, down on the ground, looks up there and said, "Such fanaticism." She don't even know the first thing, got no higher than a barnyard post. And a lot of times the denomination cracks her wings so she can't get up that high.

65 Maybe I better shut up. But oh, brother! I know what I'm talking about! Yes, sir. Them chickens don't know nothing about the heavenlies. They never been up there.

66 Sometime ago a fellow was preaching on divine healing. I won't say who it was. And as soon as he left, there was another fellow come up there and said, "There is no such a thing as divine healing. There's no such a thing as the Holy Ghost. That preacher's crazy."
There was an old country boy sitting back there, with a overall jacket on, hair hanging down, and his mouth, one tooth out, come walking up through the building like that. And stopped and looked up at him, reached down, got an apple, began peeling it like this. Preacher ... or, the debater said, "What do you want, Zac?"
He said, "I want to ask you a question." Just kept on peeling.
Said, "Well, what do you want?" Just kept on peeling the apple. Said, "Speak, or I will have you ... put you out of here."
Said, "I want to ask you a question." Kept on carving the apple up, you know, took the peeling off. Sliced it off, took the core out, put one piece in his mouth, begin chewing on it like that.
Said, "What do you want?"
Said, "I want to ask you a question." Said, "Is this apple sweet or sour?"
He said, "I don't know; I'm not eating it."
Said, "That's just what I thought."
How do you know anything about the Holy Ghost when you've never had a taste of it!? Sure. You've never eat; you've never tried it. Try it sometime; it's honey in the rock. Hallelujah! It's the power of God unto salvation, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it's eagle food. God's Word, God's Bible, God said so, that settles it forever. "For the promise is to unto you, and to your children, to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." That's His promise, and He keeps His promise! Amen.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

67 This little eagle just a flopping around, you know; they're having a Pentecostal jubilee, just a shouting, and a jumping. They got ... they believe. If mother took them up there, mother can take care of them.
If God told me to trust Him, I will just trust Him. I don't care how topsy-turvy I get, He'll help me out somehow. I don't know. But the only thing I know, I want to flop my wings. All the faith that I've got in the New and Old Testament go by flopping back and forth: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just keep on flopping and flying. Somehow or another---if He sends a rushing mighty wind, He throws all the loose feathers out---you can stand it, or He wouldn't take you up there. Just put your trust in Him one time, see what He will do. That's your solo flight. Oh, my. I feel real good. Don't you? Oh, my.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

68 Nest-stirring time. The Pentecostal church needs a nest-stirring time. It needs an old-fashioned revival. Like He spoke of Jacob, he was the apple of His eye. He done wrong, but He found him in the wilderness. And He's like a eagle stirring her nest; He carried Jacob on His wings. Amen.
The church has done wrong, we've all done wrong, but we're the apple of His eye. He's ready to stir the nest tonight, send the Holy Ghost in and shake all the feathers out, and have a revival here in this Yakima Valley that'll warm the nation. He will do it! "As an eagle stirreth up her nest, and fluttereth over her young, and taketh them up on her wings, and bears them up in the air," He said, "so did He Jacob." And the Lord's inheritance is His people. Amen. That's it. God's inheritance is His people.
He told Moses, said, "I am your portion."

69 The other day I was standing by... This is fine. I was going by Brother Tommy Osborn... That sweet Christian brother, Tommy Osborn, he was brought to his ministry over there that night when the maniac ran out on the platform to kill me at Portland. And then he's traveled overseas, and he's done a... He's a sainted man of God. I looked at his great building; he took me through there, how beautiful it was.
Then here come our darling brother Oral Roberts, one of the sweetest men, and the finest men, and God has trusted him with great wealth, and everything. And there I went to his building. And I went through there, and seen all them things built in the form of a trinity. No glasses on the side, all imported marble, and the ceiling is aluminum, all aluminum wires wore close together. Five hundred machines or something in there, just like an assembly line running through, and letters and so forth. I thought, "Oh, my!"

70 I stepped outside, and I said to Brother Fisher, that I missionaried with him in Africa, he was taking me through... And I went in to the mirror and seen those great beautiful hands reaching down, like the hands of God, and sinner's reaching for Him, my heart just jumped for joy. I thought, "Oh, God, how I thank You for Oral Roberts. How I thank You for one little old Pentecostal boy, born in a dugout over yonder, could have come up to amount like that." I said, "How I thank You, God!"
And I stood outside, and I got to myself and walked around to get my car. Then something said to me (it was Satan), he said, "But what about you? Oral's ministry come off of yours, so did Tommy Osborn. Here you are. Where's your IBM machines?" A little old end of a trailer that Brother Leo let's me have an office in, a phone sitting in there, and a little secondhanded typewriter. "What about that?"
I said, "Oh, I would sure hate for them to come see that."
Satan says, "You see, He can't trust you."
I said, "I guess that's right," see. "All them brothers with all ... I guess He just can't trust me, that's all." And I was standing there looking there, and I got real broke up. I thought, "O God. As hard as I've tried and everything else." And I said then, "Look what You have done..."
Just then I heard a voice said, "But I am your portion."
I thought, "O God. 'A tent or a cottage, why should I care? They're building a palace for me over there! Of rubies and diamonds, and silver and gold, His coffers are full, He has riches untold. I'm a child [an eagle] of the King! A child of the King! With Jesus my Saviour, I'm a child of the King!'" Oh, my.

71 Just flop then, just keep on, whether it's going up, whether you're down, or which ever way you're doing. Mother's standing right out there soaring, right around. "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me." In and out of His church to see if you get out of topsy-turvy. Something will happen. The big wings, the Word of God, will bring you right back up.
Somebody said, "That's wild fire." I'd rather have a little wildfire than no fire at all, you know. We could take the big wings, and bear it back up to the right. Is that right, brothers? Just think if it's just a little out of order, why, we will just catch them on the wing (you see?), just exactly what it is, and bring them back up into grace again. If you'll just let them flop. Yes, sir. Just let them go ahead and shout, praise the Lord, and holler, "Hallelujah," dance in the Spirit, whatever they want to do. If they get out of order, we got something here---the wings. God will never let you drop if you're a eagle. He will pick up back up again. Now, if you're a buzzard, you're falling anyhow. So you'll just splash on the ground. But if you're a real eagle, you'll listen to the Word of God. Amen. You'll know that's mother's wing bringing you back to grace again! Amen!

72 Said not long ago, I heard a story, said a farmer was going to set a hen. And I don't know how many eggs it takes for a setting out here. Down in the south, where I come from, it takes fifteen eggs to make a setting. That the same thing here?
So this old farmer only had fourteen eggs, and he got a eagle egg and put it under the hen. See what a kind of a crop he got. That's about the way it is, about one out of a setting. Just about the way you get it. That's right. About one eagle out of a setting.

73 So the old hen sat on these eggs, and finally when they all hatched, if that little eagle wasn't a ugly duckling in that bunch of chickens. Well, he was the funniest looking thing they ever seen. That's about the way some of you did when you really hatched out, among a big bunch of formal, and cold, and so forth, and a bunch creeds: we say, "Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be Thy nammme ... Hail, Mary, blessed are thou," and all this other kinds of a stuff. "And we believe in all this other things [you know] and about that we believe in the holy Catholic church, the..."
Oh, this Apostle's Creed! I wish somebody'd show me Apostle's Creed in the Bible. That's no Apostle's Creed. If they had any creed, it was, "Repent!" That's what Peter told them on the day of Pentecost. Said, "Repent, every one of you be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, to them that is far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call." That's the apostle's creed. That's what it was. Not none of this, "I believe in the holy Roman Catholic church; I believe in the communion of saints." Anybody believes the communion of saints is confessing that they're a spiritualist. That's right.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

74 There's only one mediator between God and men, that's the man Christ Jesus. I don't believe in no communion of saints. Saints are gone on. Abraham said that he was a... Jesus said, that he was in the bosom of Abraham, and said he could not come here or go there, these, either way. So that settles it. There's gulf betwixt which they cannot cross back and forth. And there's no communion of saints. That's right. Only communion we have is through Jesus Christ. That's our mediator.
The Bible said, "There's no other mediator between God and men, but the man Christ Jesus." Exactly right. "On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; all other grounds is sinking sand."

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

75 This little old eagle... The mother, after she got him off the nest, you know, he'd kind of puttered along behind. You remember how out of place you seemed? "My, my," said, "this don't seem right." Walk in that old dusty yard, where the cows has walked, and the horses, and that old dust flying up. Hmm, what a stink! Said, "This don't seem right." He looked up like that and said, "Say, what about up there?
And the old hen said, "Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck: days of miracles is past. No such thing as flying up in the air, that's impossible." Just didn't sit right, you know. It just---it didn't suit his gastronomics. He knowed there's something better up there somewhere, so he kept walking with his head up.
And she said, "Children, don't listen to him. He's one of them odd guys." You see?
That's the way a eagle is when he's kind of out of place amongst the chickens, see. So she goes over on the big old manure pile, and she begins to scratch and say, "Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck: we're going to have an old supper over here tonight, we got to pay the pastor. We got to have some kind of a sale to pay the..." When it gets to a place like that, the church ought to close it's doors. Pay your tithes and the pastor will be paid! "We will have a bunco game; we'll all these other things here."
That little eagle started and said, "Whew, I couldn't stand that. My. Hmmm. Hmmm."

76 My, he kept looking up, looking up. And after while---the old mother was searching for him. Here she come. She swooped down. She seen him! Oh, I'm so glad. Oh, my! She screamed, "Darling, you're not a chicken; you're mine!"
Oh, I remember when I first heard about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, He screamed in my heart, "It's for you. I called you. Oh, you're not a chicken, your Mine."
Oh, when he heard that cry... What did she say when she come back across again? She said, not, "Cluck, cluck, cluck." She said, "Glory, Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!" That sounded good to him. Amen. That's what he was born for. That's why his name was put on the Lamb's book of life before the foundation of the world. "My sheep know my voice." When they heard that, it's just like honey on a rock for a bear. He will lick it all night, keep coming. He knows that there's something. "You're mine, honey. You're not a chicken. You're an eagle."
"Oh, is that what it is, Mama?" Look at them big wings: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. I AM that I AM." Amen. That sounds good. Yes.
"What can I do, Mama?" Amen.
"Just jump as high as you can jump, and start flopping. I will get you." Hallelujah! He made a big jump with four or five flops, and hit right on top of a post, right in the middle of an organization.
She come back across again; she said, "Honey, you've got to do better than that, or I can't even pick you up."

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

77 What we need today is a nest-stirring time. What we need today is the power of the Holy Ghost. What we need today is eagle food, preaching that Jesus Christ still heals, he's the same, "The works that I do shall you do also."
Aren't you glad to know tonight that Jehovah has His big wings across here, waving His Spirit back and forth? The Angel of the Lord having His picture taken, same pillar of fire that was in the wilderness, in the New Testament, now in the last days, "yesterday, today, and forever." People being healed, filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking with tongues, interpretations, power of God coming, the Lord drawing nigh, God getting His church together. Aren't you glad to be in such thing as that? Happy! Amen. Whew.
My, I don't whether I can go much longer or not. Seem like about to take off right now. This feels good to me, to know that it's the truth, it's not a Santa Claus story. It's the truth of the living God. Do you believe it? Yeah, with all your heart? Do you believe we need a nest-stirring time? Do you believe we need a Holy Ghost again? Do you believe that we need a fresh pouring out of His Spirit? Do you believe the church needs a rebaptizing again? Do you believe with all your heart? Let's start something right now, will you? Are you ready to get under the wind? Are you ready to do it? Do you believe it?

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

78 Let's stand on our feet. How many people here hasn't got the Holy Ghost? How many people hasn't got the Holy Ghost, come here just a minute. Come down out of that balcony. This is nest-stirring time. Let's get these old loose feathers out. We can't heal or have a real healing service till we get these feathers straight out. God will never take us up there and drop us till we get these feathers out of us.
Come now. Everybody that wants to come under the power of the Spirit, come up here just a minute and stand around this altar. I believe God's going to pour out the Holy Ghost right here tonight, and shake this thing, and get all the feathers out of here, and take His eagles on the wings like that, and take us out yonder for a revival.

79 I want to see a revival that's here! I want to see every one of these churches on fire, the power of God falling. We need it. Come on down out of the balcony, brother. Don't put it off any longer. Let's---if you're a sinner, come too. Come right on, you without the Holy Ghost. You without repentance, move right on up around the altar.
"Oh," he says, "it's so far down."
If you fail to get it, one day in hell it'll be too far to get back to repent again. It's a lot closer here than it would be out of hell. Come on. All without battle sure take the hell route. Come on, that's it. Come on, eagles. Have you heard Him scream tonight? Have you felt His presence? Have you felt that wind saying, "This is it. Here it is. This is it."
This is the same that they had on the day of Pentecost. This is the real power of God. This is it. I'm waiting. They're coming from the balconies, some of them coming down.

80 "There Is a Fountain Filled With blood," if you will, brother, on the organ. Let's sing it now, while we're waiting for all the eagles to gather around.
Peter said on the day of Pentecost, "This is that." If this isn't that, I will just keep this till that comes. Amen. Come.
There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel's....
You that wants to work for God, if you're a housewife: He will give you the gift of speaking in tongues, He will give you the gift of prophesy, He will do something for you. Won't you come? Get the loose feathers shook out now.
All their guilty....
Won't you come? Come from the balcony, sinner friend. Move on down. Come on. All you that's just accepted Christ as personal Saviour, yet not been filled with the Holy Ghost, won't you come up around the altar? God bless you, lady.
Lose all their guilty stains...
Right over here, lady, right this way.
And sinner's plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.

Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

81 Listen, friends, this is the only way for you to please God, is to obey Him. They that come to God must believe. Now look, some of you Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, or some that's never received the Holy Ghost yet, how would God let me do these things that He does here at night? How would He send me out on the field, seven times around the world? How would He do that, and let millions of souls be won, if I didn't have some conception of truth? How would He let me do these things, the signs that He said that would send in the last days, and we've never even seen them or read of them in history before, since the days of our Lord. Why would He let me bring a message like this, if I'm wrong? He will never bless a lie. But He lets me bring it, because I've preached this is the truth. This is the way.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

82 And listen, you Catholic friends, did you know virgin Mary had to go up and get the Holy Ghost, and stagger like she was drunk, before God would ever let her in heaven? How are you going to get there anything less than that? Your church, your creed, whatever it is, if it's Pentecostal creed, if it's Baptist creed, or Methodist creed, whatever it is, you'll never get in anything less than the baptism of the Holy Ghost. That's exactly.
So you said, "It seems so strange."
Yes, sir. What makes these people act like that? Is because they're born from above. Their spirit's of another kingdom. Their kingdom is above. Jesus said, "If this world was my kingdom, my people would fight for it. But my kingdom is up above." That's right.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

83 Won't you come? Let's sing once more so I will be sure. I've just prayed all day that God would fill this place, and shake it like never before.
The dying thief rejoiced to see...
Do you believe it now, with all your heart? Come down the aisle then. Won't you come down? Please, friend, I persuade you in Christ's name.
And there may I, though vile as he,
(You're as vile as he, if you deny it.)
...all my sins away. (Come right on.
That's right.)
Wash all my sin away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.

84 Do you believe with all your heart? Now, let's stand still just a moment. Now, if you regard me as His servant, if you do, I appreciate it. I can help you. Now, all of you here that's seeking God's Holy Spirit, raise up your hand. You're hungry.
Jesus said, "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst for righteousness: they shall be filled."
Now, there's a bunch of people out in here I want to deal with before we go to the room there. But I want you people here, that's seeking the Holy Ghost, to follow one of these ministers. Who? Which one of you? This brother right here. Take the lead, go into the room, here, just a minute. Here, go in like this: "Lord, if you don't give me the Holy Ghost, when You come back to earth, I will be laying right here," see. Just don't play with it. If you do, you'll never get nowhere. You got to mean business. You got to come to God believing that you're going to get what He...
Why did he say... I said awhile ago, them people couldn't cast out that evil spirit. They said, "Why couldn't we do it?"
He said, "Because of your unbelief."
Not, if they didn't have power to do it---but they didn't have faith to do it. Now, you've got the power to receive the Holy Ghost. You've got the Holy Ghost on you, because you're hungering and thirsting, and Jesus said, "You're blessed, because you even hunger and thirst."
Now, hear me and believe. Go right in there now, while I deal with another group here. Be in there just in a minute. All right.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

Matthew 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

85 Now, as you take your place right here, go right this way to a room, so we won't bother the rest of them. Sometimes, people seeking the Holy Ghost, they think, "Somebody's back there. I brought Mr. Jones, and he's sitting back there." But get you to yourself, where everybody's dying with you, something's going to happen. That's right. Move right into the room.

86 Let's all that's got the Holy Ghost say, "Praise God." Look at this great [unclear words]. Look at this great power [unclear words]. Now, all of you personal workers move right in with them now, all the personal workers. Some of you ministering brethren, if you will too, go in there to see that everything is carried on just exactly right. We want them to receive the real baptism of the Holy Spirit. Go right in the room, so we can meet you right in here, just in a moment.
There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel's veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And ... (Is there another one would like to go.
One more?) ... beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.
Let's bow our heads now reverently. [Brother Branham hums.]
A nobler sweeter song...

87 Now, if there's any in here that feel, that with your heads bowed, your eyes closed, that you're not a Christian. You're not a Christian. You say, "I should've went in there. But I want to raise up my hands to God, and say, "God, give me courage; don't let me die in this condition."
Friends, we're not playing church. It may seem odd to what you've been taught in your different creeds and churches, but this is the Bible. This is the way it was at the beginning, and God is infinite and cannot change. This is the same. The prescription reads, "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

88 Now, if you don't know Him as your Saviour, would you just be gentleman or lady enough to raise up your hand, say, "Pray for me, Brother Branham. I'm not a Christian."
God bless you, young lady. In the balcony to the left, to the main floor, is there one here would say, "I'm not a Christian, Brother Branham." God bless you, lady. I have courage for a person that's honest. You'll never get no where with God till you're honest. Over here? God bless you, lady. God bless you, son.
Up in the balcony, to my right, raise your hand, say, "I'm not a Christian." God bless you, lady. God bless you. "I'm not a Christian, but I really want to be, Brother Branham. Pray that God will give me courage to come yet. Or if He don't, don't let me die this way."
Surely you don't want to die that way, children. What made you raise your hand? Because the very thing in you, you're born to be an eagle. That's what made you raise your hand. Now, don't just let the little old pin feathers and things hold you from the heavenly flight. Why not do it tonight?

89 Our heavenly Father, there are those seven or eight people, many of those, most of them are young people in the adolescent age, just the crossroads. I noticed those beautiful, lovely-looking young women, young men, raising their hands. They're hungering, Lord. Rock-and-roll and the things of the world can never satisfy that spot in a human heart till God comes in there, if there's any place there for Him. If when He made that person, He made a place for Himself to dwell in, nothing will never take it's place.
Father, let them know that the greatest thing that ever happened to them is when conviction come on their soul that they wanted to serve You. I pray for them, Father, even now, while we have our heads bowed, that those people that raised their hands will make their way right in that room. Those young children, Lord, just nothing but teen-age children.
I pray, Father, that all that raised their hands will have the courage, and may my prayer go before You to knock at the door [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit.] one more time, Father. Grant it. Maybe they'll go in, the greatest thing they ever done.
I can remember back in the early days of my boyhood, how that night I was hungering, and I felt You knock at my door, Lord. I'm so glad I let You in. Now I'm a middle-aged man; I just love You more than I ever loved You in my life.

90 O God, never let nothing happen... If I can't serve You, take me now. Let me go now. What a joy it is, and a privilege, to serve God. Give it to these young people, Lord. They've got an awful battle. Look at them. Look at what they got. Look at their television: rotten and polluted. Look at the nation they're coming up in here: politics rotten to the core, the antichrist arising in seat and power. The world, American people, don't know what a struggle is. They don't know how to do without. They never had to miss a meal. O God, just look. Glamour and Hollywood, and it's even got into assembly-line religion in the churches, and streamlined Hollywood. No more old-fashioned all night prayer meetings, and agonizing, and praying, and having fellowship around the things of God. No more praying through.
God, these children need that. I pray that they'll receive it tonight. I'm keeping my eyes closed, Lord. I'm going to believe that You're going to send every one of them straight to the room. Grant it, Father. Let it be done, Lord. Please do. And I can shake their hand on that day, and say, "Yes, a little old chopped-up message one night, As The Eagle Stirs Its Nest."

91 You stirred the nest of the world that they lived in. They're getting tired of it, Lord. They're raising up their hands; they're looking up. "How great Thou art. How great Thou art." May they flee, Lord, into the heavenly blues, where they can fellowship up there with fellow kinsman of the same gospel. Eagle's food, may they eat. Grant it, Lord. Not be an earthbound chicken that wolves... And them young ladies, that old wolf stuff they have today, the boogie-woogie and rock-and-roll; and let them know, Lord, it's just the thing to tear their precious souls out them and send them to a devil's hell, callous their hearts, pull it through these old movie stories and true stories, when it's all lies and fiction and make-up. Let them look at these big wings of God, the New and Old Testament, and say, "There I will take my stand, right there upon that rock."
Grant it, Lord. I'm trusting that each one of them is in that room now. Grant it, I pray in Christ's name. Amen.

92 Let's just stand still a minute. [A brother speaks in tongues and another brother interprets. Then another prophecy is given.]
Praise God. Friends, that's---if I understand the Scripture, that's the voice of God speaking back in confirmation. He reverenced with that. What did He say? Don't rebel; go into the room. Every sinner without the blood of Christ, make your way to the room, friend. If the Bible... Forgive me for saying, "if"; we know the Bible is right. That's not my voice; that's God's voice speaking. And to you people that's sick, you hear what He said? That's a message to the church, see. That's the Holy Spirit.

93 Now, let's sing, "At the Cross, At the Cross Where I First Saw the Light." Let every sinner move back in here, will you please? Move back here if ... [break in tape].
At the cross, at the cross where I first......
(That's right. Move right back to the right.)
And the burden of my heart rolled....
(Rest of you can be seated, if you wish to.)
It was there by faith I received......
(Personal workers hurry to the room, right quick.)
...now I...
Everybody that wants to be a volunteer for a personal worker, move. They're meeting in the room there, where the people's receiving the Holy Ghost.
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away (rolled away),
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
[Brother Branham hums.] Let's just hum it, and hold our hands to God.
O God, we love You. Lord, we love You. [Brother Branham hums.]
........I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
Now, real slowly and sweetly. And in the tune that you're singing.
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
(At the nest.) ... of my heart rolled away,
(I seen her two big wings.)
It was there by ... (I climbed up on them.)
I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
[Brother Branham hums.] Oh, I just can't let that go. Isn't it sweet? Don't you feel it in your heart?
And the..........
