Have faith in God

1 Shall we bow our heads just a moment. Our kind Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this faith of the people. Even after many, many years has passed still You have people that believe. We're so thankful tonight for the opportunity to be associated with them, fellow citizens of the kingdom of God, pilgrims of this world, strangers professing that our inheritance is of above and not of this world. And we pray tonight that Thy great power will be manifested among us in so much that the lame walk, the blind see, those with heart trouble be made well, the cancers healed, demons cast out, sinners saved, backsliders reclaimed, the glory going to the Father of Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ, for we ask it in His name and for His glory. Amen.
You may be seated.

2 The Lord God bless you each one, as we have gathered again this evening for another service in the name of Him who has redeemed us, the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'm trusting by His grace, that God will give us today the exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could do or think may God give it to us tonight.
It's a little cooler and we're very happy for this, that it is cooler. And now as you know that our beloved Brother Baxter does the speaking at night. Usually I have just a little something and then go right straight to the service. It's always a privilege to have Brother Baxter speak, because whenever I've tried to speak myself, preach, and then turn right around for the service it certainly is shocking to... It's the same Spirit but it's two different types of a ministry. One of them is the preaching. Well, it doesn't tire me; you just preached right on. But when it comes to one vision, oh, my, you know the difference then. And now in praying for the sick, I can pass the people by and pray for them.

3 Last Sunday afternoon a week ago I prayed for four thousand people individually, one right after the other one. They counted them as they went through. Four thousand took me several hours to get through them, never bothered me, I'm no more tired than I am right now, see, never bothered me a bit. But let one vision happen, I just don't ... I just don't know. You just get so weak; many people can't understand that. I can't understand it. Only God knows about it. But there's something about seeing a vision, another dimension, that weakens the human being. It's been through the ages.
The prophets of old when they seen visions, they were troubled at their head. You remember Daniel said he saw one vision he was troubled for several days, at his head. A woman touched the hem of Jesus' garment and He said, "Virtue," or strength, "has gone from Me." And I can see Him laying in the boat one night and even the waves didn't even wake Him up; He was so weak and tired. He was human the same as God, and the human part is what weakens.

Daniel 7:15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

Matthew 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

4 Now, we trust that you will just have faith and believe.
Now, tonight I wish to read just a little portion of Scripture in order, some way... Just walking right straight to the platform... Yeah, there's something about human spirit, that you have to get the human spirit settled to you.
Now you say, "That's psychology, Brother Branham."
Well, if it is, the Lord Jesus Christ used it. He put them all out of the house that day at Jairus's, when He raised his daughter up from the dead. You remember that? Took a man outside the city, and put plaster over his eyes and healed him; another deaf man He made to hear. Peter, when he went into the house where Dorcas was dead... The women were all weeping and going on; he put them everyone out of the house like that, get to himself alone. Jesus usually taken Him two or three as a witness, like Peter, James, John; but you have to sometimes be alone.

Mark 5:40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

Acts 9:40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

5 I noticed the most powerful times that I have under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and my wife present tonight knows it, it's when I get a patient to themselves, off in the room where there's no one but just them and myself. Ask someone who's been in there, and they will know; that's when really the Lord works mightily. But now in this way, it's no more than just a sign to you people, that Jesus Christ is a vindicating that what has been preached to you is the truth, see. Hebrews 11:2 says, "God testifies of His gifts." God makes manifest.
Now what Brother Baxter has told you tonight and other nights, in the afternoon services, the instructions and so forth, then the Holy Spirit comes into the meeting as another demonstration or vindication that what has been preached to you is the truth. There's no shadow at the judgment for us to have a way of escape at all, because God in every way has combed everything to make us believe. The first thing is His Word. Seeming it to me if some one wouldn't believe my word, well, I wouldn't have much confidence in the person, but God is different. Though you do not believe His Word, He's yet willing to come to you in some other way to manifest His love to you. Isn't that wonderful? How unworthy we creatures are of such love.
Brother, sister, that's what the world needs today is some more love of God. That's what the world is hungry for today is more love of God. If we'd show a little more love to one another, little more love towards God, how much better our churches and individuals and how much better we'd be if we'd just love one another. If we love one another, then we can love God, for God is love.

Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

6 Now, in the Scriptures I wish to read just a little portion, and about five minutes talk, before we go into the healing service. And it's found over in Saint Mark. Many of you who like to keep it down, Saint Mark the eleventh chapter, and beginning with the twentieth verse. I'll read just a portion here.
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
And Peter, calling to remembrance, said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
And Jesus, answering, said unto them, Have faith in God.
The story is very striking, as all Bible readers that has read much of the Scriptures knows the instance. Jesus came down from the hill as a human, a man who had been up all night fasting. He came down to find something to eat, looking on the tree.

Matthew 21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

Matthew 21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

Mark 11:12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

Mark 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

Mark 11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Mark 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

7 Now we could take that from a dozen different angles tonight, of being the Jewish nation that was cursed and many... Every word of God written is inspiration and it hooks the whole Bible together, on every word in the Bible. It's the most wonderful book that was ever written. There's never a piece of literature ever written like the Bible. It's the only book in existence tells you where you come from, who you are, and where you're going. We've got libraries full, and streets full, and book rooms full, but never one of them, not none of them, none of their great philosophers that's raised and fallen, they have never been able to tell us what this Bible has told us. And all true science moves right back to the Bible for its evidence.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

8 Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He was the Word of God here on earth. We know that; He was God's Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."
People today try to liken Jesus unto a prophet. He was more than a prophet. He was the Emmanuel. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. He was either God Himself manifested in flesh, or the greatest deceiver the world has ever had. He was God.
He was both human and God. Coming off the mountain, He was hungry like a man. When He saw the tree, He looked to find figs and there was no figs, and He said, "No man eateth from thee." Turned around and walked away. I wonder why He didn't wait to find out whether that tree was going to whither away or not. What did Jesus do to that tree? He merely called the life out of it. He didn't wait to see if it withered away or not; He knew it would whither away; He had said so, and the Word of God was in Him.
And whatever He said, it had to come to pass because it was God speaking out of a man. And everything that God was ... God emptied His entire being into Jesus Christ. And everything Jesus Christ was, He emptied into the church.
And that's what's the matter with the Pentecostal church tonight, the full Gospel people: They just don't realize who they are. You don't realize the power that's right in this building tonight, but it's harnessed down by unbelief; that's the only thing. If God could ever get an avenue to work through you, it would be marvelous what He could do. But it's harnessed. You won't let it loose. You keep it with unbelief.

Mark 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

Mark 11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

9 And I feel sorry for the American people. They have so much theology taught to them. One says, "Oh, well, it's this," and the other one, "This." And you've got so indoctrinated till you hardly know what to believe.
Brother, listen, and my, sister, listen tonight: Jesus Christ is always truth. His manifestation, His resurrection, His power has always been the same. And that's what's truth tonight, as Jesus said, "I am the truth, the way, the truth, the life." Is the resurrected Jesus Christ making Himself manifested by the power of His Word, proving that He is what He said He was, so it leaves every doubt. A skeptic has no way of escape. He has to believe, or either just turn his back on God and say, "There is no God." That's the only way he can do: become an infidel.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

10 Now in this, Jesus said, "No fruit grow on you." And the next day when they come through by the tree... Of course, the apostle Peter always watching for every little thing if he could think to look at, why, he looked over and he said, "Why, Master, behold the tree. Why, it's already withering."
Why, Jesus turned to him and said, "Have faith in God. For if you would say to this mountain, be plucked up and cast away and don't doubt but believe that it will come to pass; you will have what you ask for." Isn't that simple?
People look for faith today by somebody that's got something another, like to touch a totem pole, or to do something else, or say some hocus-pocus words over someone. That's religious superstitions. There's no truth in that. God's Word is the truth. This is the truth, and Jesus Christ is the Word made manifest.

Matthew 21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

Matthew 21:20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

Mark 11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Mark 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

11 People today are not watching... As we're going into India now... We was told by the authorities, some of the great authorities from India, "Don't come over saying we're missionaries. We've got all your tracts and know more about it than you do," see. They had religion before America was ever formed. They had Jesus Christ. Said, "What we want is somebody who can make the Word manifest. That's what we want to see it. Someone who can make the Word be alive."
"The letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life," see. So the Word manifest is what we need today.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

12 Now, how much do you judge the Word of God? Jesus judged it. Whatever the Father told Him, He did it. He believed it. But us today... The Father can show us something and we stumble over it. I wonder if we could correctly be the children of Abraham, then, who were strong and lingered on for the twenty-five years for the promise to be fulfilled; instead of getting weaker, he grew stronger. We grow weaker in one night's time. He grew stronger for twenty-five years, and brought to pass what God had promised. You see what I mean?
Now look. The world is trembling. Today while driving in a taxi cab with a man... He was telling about how the highways has got signs out here: "This highway will be a blocked off, used for military purposes in case of a raid." New York's trembling. I just left Los Angeles, trembling. Why? Something is fixing to happen. We've spurned mercy. There's nothing left but judgment. That's all that can come, is judgment.
I look for something horrible. I'm not prophesying. I've only got my heart open to the Word of God, and watching things as they're heaping up. Something has got to happen right away. What would a conglomeration of mess, tramped down humanity, would take place if the sirens would ring and this city was to be raided? They don't have to leave Russia or any the other countries to do it; they can just shoot the missiles right over here and do it. They don't have to ring no sirens; it is done in a minute's time. They've already got it, test proved.

13 What's the matter with us, the Christians? We've laid down on our job. That's right. Science has taken men farther with his five senses than ministers has taken him with his soul, his spirit, which is super over his science. I'd just like to ask you a question. Many of you brethren in here can go back with me to the old Model T age. Science could only... Now listen, just before I close, here's a remark I want you to remember: Science is only as good as it can measure. As close as science can measure, that's how powerful they become. And as close as the church can measure, that's just as powerful as the church becomes.

14 Science, about thirty-five years ago, could only measure to ten-thousandth of an inch; in that they could make a T-Model Ford, with a ten-thousandth of an inch piston ring which could give it the terrific speed of about twenty-five miles per hour. Up above it, set a spark plug, a valve pump the gas up, the gas fired by the spark plug, but it lost so much of its compression as it went down with a ten-thousandth of an inch, it could only drive it at that. A thirty-five miles an hour was an extremely good, fast T-Model Ford.
Now, did they stop at that? No sir. They can go down to a hundred-thousandth of an inch now. They're cutting in their rule, measuring closer. Now they can take that same Ford, or that same piston in a jet plane and almost drive it six-hundred miles per hour, with the same spark plug firing over the top of it. Why is it? They can measure closer, that nothing leaks out. The pressure is there, but your measurement wasn't close enough. They can even take that hundred-thousandth of an inch and split an atom with it.
Are they stopping? No, they're going on. But us? Oh, well, we're satisfied with what Moody said, what Finney said. Them men were all right. They were Christians, brothers that's in glory.

15 The first time the rule was ever laid across the Word of God... How do you measure it tonight? What value has the Word of God got to you? Now look, Christian: Martin Luther come out, laid it across Catholicism and found out that the just shall live by faith. He left a great gap there---many things passed through---but he believed that the just shall live by faith, and he stepped out on it because God's Word said so. He measured God's Word out to the people: "Just shall live by faith."
Along came a little fellow from England, by the name of John Wesley. He measured to the people a little closer. He cut the rule in a little closer, could measure closer---sanctification; as they called it in them days, a "second work of grace." Look what he done: He introduced holiness to the church.

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

16 Along come Pentecost and measured down the gift of the Holy Spirit: speaking with tongues, and signs. But we're just letting a big gap through. Let's us tonight lay the measure of God down and measure the whole Word of God. The same Holy Ghost that fired the piston back there that brought them out by faith---justification---same one gave sanctification, the same one gave the baptism of the Holy Ghost. That same power, the same Holy Ghost, can move the church to perfection, and it will do it, to everything that God has promised in His Word. God will do it.
The trouble of it is... Let's cap out the world. Let's measure God's Word, if it's the truth. "Have faith in God," Jesus said, "for if thou shall say to this mountain be moved and don't doubt it, it will do just what you tell it to do." Isn't that wonderful? Let's measure up. I don't care, the Lutherans were fine, the Baptists were fine, the Methodists were fine, the Pentecostals were fine, all these different things is all right, but let's put it right down and say every word of God is true.
Everything God said is perfect, and if He said, "Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray believe you receive it," I believe that's the truth. God, let me lay my measuring stick down on my soul and spread it across God's Word and say, "God, it's the truth. Send the unction of the Holy Ghost and fire the cylinder above me, I'll believe every word of it." You'll see things take place. Do you believe it?

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

17 Jesus is risen from the dead. He's just doing all kinds of things to get people to believe it, but we're just so loose. We let it slip through. He could come here tonight, walk out on the platform, visible in a body with nail-scarred hands and return. He's here in the form of Spirit, but not in the form of flesh. When He brings His body back with Him, well it'll be the second coming. It will all be over then.
But He could come here in the city of ... this great city of New York, tonight. And there would be tens of thousands, yes, millions of them would laugh at Him, make fun of Him. That's exactly right. 'Cause they're just so loose. They just, 'Oh, I know what I believe," see. They're not willing to take; they're not willing to believe; they're not willing to settle themselves to what the Word of God says.
Jesus said, when He was here on earth, "The things that I do shall you also, even more than this will you do, for I go to my Father." The very works that He did here on earth, said that we could do the same thing, by His resurrected power. And yet God will manifest it amongst the people and they still won't believe it. I could tell you why just now, but I won't, because I don't think it's seasonable at this time to let you know why. But you who do believe should be a very happy people, that God has called you to a faith in Him.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

18 Shall we pray.
Father, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. And we thank Thee tonight for the faith that we have in Thy Word, in Thy Son, the Lord Jesus. And we pray tonight that this little group, little handful of people, here in this great massive city, out tonight drinking, gambling, carousing, trying to satisfy their souls with lust, and passions, and not knowing that the very hand of God, the wrath of God lays right at the door.
God, I pray for a revival. Is it possible we could have it, Father, before I see this nation into bits?
We thank Thee for those who have been called out. You said that the ones that escape in that day, the Branch of the Lord, the people of God would be beautiful. And we thank Thee for the beauty of holiness, clean Holy Spirit-filled people, living for You; by Your grace they are this. And we thank Thee.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

19 And Thou has said there would be some ... the world would never see You no more, but there would be some that would see You through every age to the end of the world. "A little while and the world seeth Me no more, yet ye shall see Me, for I will be with you even in you to the end of the world." We thank Thee, tonight for the 'ye's, and pray that more of the world will become 'ye's.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 Grant it, Lord. Now, in the very humble way that I have of speaking the Gospel to the people, I pray that You will let the Angels of God take their positions in this building now. And may every Christian lay the Word of God down on his heart just now, and say, "Lord, I'll measure every iota of the Word. I'll not let nothing slip by, but I'll believe You, Father." And then may the Holy Spirit come like a rushing wind, and sweep every sinner into the kingdom of God, every backslider back to the house of God, and every sick person to good health and strength. Grant it, Father, for we ask it in the name of Thy beloved Child, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

21 Thank you for your kindness. I didn't aim to speak that long, but, as you know, anybody who speaks, they begin just one thing after another and you start reaching for it. Humble yourselves in heart. It's not hot tonight in here, so quieten yourselves before God, and be ready that when the Holy Spirit shall make a move to you... Don't wait till you come to the platform to be prayed for. When something down beneath your body in here, in your heart, begins to say, "Yes, I believe," that's the time to accept it right then. It won't bother me; it will help me when I see a responding of faith everywhere, it always is an edifying, always.
So the Lord bless you, my Christian friends. We never come here for any other purpose. God, who knows my heart, and knows that we're heading across the waters... And if it wasn't a vision from the Lord, I certainly wouldn't be going. That's right. The last time over we almost got killed (you know about it) in the plane. And so if it wasn't for the vision of the Lord I certainly would not leave my wife, and family, and my home, friends.

22 Someone said to me, "Are you aiming to go back again?"
I said, "Oh, yes, because the Lord has told me so." I have the vision wrote out here, and I will tell it to you so you can write it down and see if it doesn't come to pass just the way He said it would be.
That's why we're here. We always love to come to you New York people, so we can have a little springboard for overseas; about the only time we get to visit you. I pray that you'll be humble in your heart. You might not agree with me on my theology, the way I teach the Word. It may seem a little different from what your pastors and so forth teach it, but don't just ... don't fall out with me; just love me anyhow, 'cause I love you anyhow, so it doesn't matter. All right.

23 Now we will call the prayer line. If Brother Baxter... He was here just a few ... or Bill... Give out a hundred? Let's call from... Let's go back and call from number 1 tonight, again make another call through number 1. Who has prayer card number 1? What's the letter? W, all right. W number one, who has... Would you raise your hand somewhere, with a prayer card W number 1?
Look. Now watch your prayer cards; and, you people, turn it over and look on the back of it. On the front of it here has got my picture and a little place for your address and name; on the back of it, it's got a letter and a number, and it will be a letter W, and start off with one. Has anyone got that prayer card W number one? Raise up your hand. Do you have it, lady? Have you got W number one? All right. Number two, who has number 2, number 2, all right, sir. Number 3, number 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Let's stand those up first. W-1 to W-10, line up over here to the right with the ushers, if you will, and then we'll see how we come along. W-1 to W-10, if you will, right over here. If the organist now will give us a little key of: Abide With Me, Only Believe, or something that way.

24 How many believes that God loves music? Thank you. Sometime ago someone said to me, he said, "Brother Branham, there's one thing that I have against ... that you have music with your meetings."
I said, "The Lord likes that."
He said, "Oh, not music, no, no."
I said, "One time there was a prophet who got all kind of ruffled up because some fellows come to him and kind of got him out of humor, and his name was Elijah." We don't like to think that, but it's the truth. And he said, "If it wasn't I respected the presence of Jehoshaphat, I wouldn't even look at you." My! What a word for a prophet to say. But he said, "Nevertheless, bring me a minstrel." Is that right? And when the minstrel begin to play, the Spirit of the Lord come on the prophet, visions begin to happen. He begin to see things when he got in the Spirit, and the music helped bring it on the prophet. If the Spirit... If music will help in that day, it will help today also. Don't you believe so? So I'm a lover of music, and I know the Lord loves music, also. All right.

2 Kings 3:14 And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.

2 Kings 3:15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.

25 Now I believe... Did all ten of them go up, brethren? All right. That was... Where'd I ... from fifty to what? What say? You have how many missing? One... Number 4 is missing, a prayer card W-4. Would some of you look at your neigh... All that's got cards, look at your cards, and look at somebody else's cards. Prayer card W-4 is missing, and it's must be a... It's someone maybe can't hear, maybe deaf or something; if you just look, it will help us a whole lot if you will do it. And sometimes it's not English speaking people, and I don't want to leave anyone out when their prayer card is called. W-4, all right.
And now, let's call... Where was that? up to ten? Now let's call up to twenty-five, W-1 to 25. Let's see how... Let them line up over here, W-1 to 25, and then we'll see how they line up and... Sometimes I don't get to all of them; I just do the best that I can, and I'm ... [Gap in the audio.]

26 I can just imagine now as we quieten this awe just before... We trust the Holy Spirit will come in our midst. I can look back... Let's turn our views back to Jerusalem. I can see a Man coming down off the mountain with three men following Him. A Man in his middle age... I've read where they said that they judged Him to be in His fifties but He's only thirty. Perhaps His work was so strenuous His beard was probably turning gray... They told Him he was a Man about fifty, when He was thirty. His life was short but packed full. And I see a father coming with a child. Poor little fellow had epilepsy; of course, they called it a devil then, but they just give it another name today; it's still a devil. And said, "I brought him to Your disciples and they couldn't do nothing for him."

Matthew 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

Luke 9:40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

27 And Jesus said, "If thou canst believe..." Well, all things are possible to them that believe. Is that right? Only believe, for all things are possible to them that believe. That's just as real today as it was the very hour He spoke it. All things are possible to them that believe.
All right, brethren, are they all in? All right. All right, sir. Would you bring them in? Now back in the room where the people are... I want you to have faith, and I want you in the audience to have faith. And now you just be reverent, if the Holy Spirit shall speak. And you do whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to do, no matter what it is, how impossible it seems, you do it anyhow, for if you do not, that shows that you, what? Unbelieve. Is that right? Go ye and what no more? Sin no more, or worse things come. Is that right?

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

28 What is sin? Sin is unbelief.
Drinking, smoking, gambling, committing adultery: that isn't sin. That's the attributes of sin. You do that because you're not a believer. And peace, and joy, and love, and goodness: That isn't salvation. You do that because you are a believer, see, see. That's... The whole thing hangs on whether you are a believer or not a believer. If you're not a believer, you're a doubter. You say it isn't right and you do things that you oughtn't to do; that's because you're an unbeliever. And so the Bible said, "Go, and disbelieve no more or a worse thing come upon you."

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

29 Now, I want you just to come over this way, lady. Now to the audience... Is there anybody here for their first time? Let's see your hands if there is. Well, each night... Thank you. Each night it's about that way.
Now to you newcomers: I am not a divine healer; I'm your brother in the Lord Jesus. I do not claim to have powers to heal, and I strictly say that there's nobody on earth today that has powers to heal, that healing has already been purchased, like your salvation, in Calvary. When Jesus died, that's when He saved you, and when He healed you, but you can only draw from that as you believe and accept, see.
Now, but when Jesus was here, He said, "The things that I do shall you, also." He said, "I can do nothing in Myself." Did He say that? Saint John 5:19. He said, "I only do what I see that Father showing Me to do." Is that right? Saint John 5 said, "The Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise, for the Father worketh and the Son worketh hitherto." In other words, Jesus said, "I do nothing except the Father shows Me."
That's the reason He talked to the woman at the well: to find out where her trouble was. He seen Nathanael coming and He told him where he had been before he even come to the meeting. What did the religious world call Him? A devil, a fortune teller, Beelzebub. But what did the believer call Him? The Son of God. That's what He was: the Son of God.

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

30 Now, He said, "The things that I do you shall do, also, always even to the end of the world. I will be with you even in you, manifesting the same thing to the end of the world." Is that Scripture? "A little while and the world will see Me no more, yet ye shall see Me, for I," personal pronoun, "will be with you." He said just the disciples. Oh, no. "Even in you until the end of the world," making Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today, and forever.
If the woman here is sick I do not know; I've never seen her in my life. If she's sick, there's nothing at all I could do to heal her; there's nothing no one else can do to heal her. If Jesus was standing here tonight like I am standing in flesh, He could not heal her. He'd tell her, "I did that nineteen hundred years ago when I died for you." Don't you believe that? Well, if she'd say yes... Now He would know her, probably know who she was and all about her, if the Father would reveal it to Him, but He wouldn't know until the Father revealed it, because He said He didn't.
Then He'd stand here... And out in the audience, as you people would have faith like the woman that touched the hem of His garment... She was satisfied. She said, "I have touched Him now, I'm going back out, and I believe I'm going to be well." She thought in her heart that the blood issue had stopped.
Jesus turned around, her faith touched Him, He said, "Thy faith hath saved thee," see. Many other instances.

Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

31 Say, "You're stalling for something, Brother Branham." That's exactly right. Sure, I'm waiting on Him; and if He doesn't come, I can't minister. I can do nothing, not a thing. But when He's here, He can do all things; and He can do it through me if I can submit myself enough to Him. The only thing it is: yielding yourself to the Holy Spirit, just yielding, knowing how to yield your life to Him. Now I know that He will grant it, because He has promised He would do it; and if He promises anything, His Word is good. That's why I've never feared at anytime, because He has always took care of me and He will now.
He's here. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I take every person, every spirit under my control for His glory.

32 And now, lady, I want to talk to you just a moment, being that you're the first patient. I realize these microphones are alive, and they do it on purpose so the audience can listen. Now, if we are strangers to each other, do not know one another, never seen each other... That's true isn't it? If that's true, would you raise your hand? We do not know one another, never seen each other; this is our first meeting time. But God knows both of us; He knows all about us. And someday we're going to stand in His presence to give an account for everything that we ever did. You believe that, don't you?
Do you believe if the Lord Jesus was standing here now that He would be able to know you even before you was born? Well, then, if He's here and promised that He would reveal to His servants the same thing, then you believe that He could do it? And if He would, would you accept Him, believe Him with all you heart? ... with all your heart. You realize that something's going on, lady. It isn't your brother's presence that's doing it; it's the Holy Spirit. Now, I want you to just...

33 You're shook just a little because I'm trying to get you quiet, for that which is on you now isn't to hurt you; it's to help you; it's His presence. Now, you've become... You're getting dim to me. Now that's His presence. You're doing some kind of a mercy work; you are a nurse. And you suffer with a stomach trouble; you can't eat. It's a condition in the stomach that's causing you trouble. And you've got a place that troubles you in your back, and that was caused by lifting a patient one time, and strained your back. Those things are true. Now, if God is present to say what is true... You know whether that's right or not: Ever what He told you is in your back life. Will you believe me as His prophet tonight? You're healed; you can go. God bless you, for I see you ... time after you're well. God be with you and help you.
Now have faith. Just don't doubt. Now, to you in the audience, you start believing now. Just say, "Lord, I believe the man has told me the truth because he has testified of Jesus Christ." Do it and see what will happen.

34 How do you do, sir. I suppose you and I are strangers to each other, but the Lord Jesus knows both of us, doesn't He? He does.
There's a dark evil spirit moving in the building. It's hanging over a little colored boy, sitting out here in the audience. I see the little fellow kind of having some kind of spell. It's epilepsy. It's that child sitting there, mother. That's him. Put your hand over on him, sister. Yeah, put your hand on his little head, if you will.
Almighty God, have mercy on the child. Now, Satan, you're exposed. And by the name of the living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, I adjure thee to leave that child. You can't hold him. The Lord God rebuke thee, and come out of him, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have faith now, sister. Do you believe the boy is going to be well? It's gone from him at the time; now it will stay away if you just keep believing.
Here comes that same evil spirit moving again. It's left the child, but, no, it isn't. It's away from the child, but here's another one sitting right there. You have epilepsy also, lady. This lady sitting right here. You perhaps don't have a prayer card, but you don't need a prayer card; you just need faith. You have one. Lay your hand over on her, sister, you sitting next to her. Do you believe right now, lady, that devil is going to leave you? Audience be reverent; these things go from one to another.
Almighty God, who raised up His Son the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead... He's alive tonight here, who said to the Father ... brought epileptic child down.
Oh, Satan, you knew that was the Lord Jesus then; you had to listen to His voice, and so will you now. For He's told us whatever we ask, believe, we receive it. And I ask that that evil spirit go from the woman, and may she get well. In Jesus Christ's name I ask it. Amen.
Have faith, sister; have faith. You shall have what you ask for if you'll just believe now.

35 Excuse me. You're still the patient. It just left me and went to the audience, you see. I just want to talk to you. We're strangers to each other, I believe. I'm not beside myself, but yet it's something different; I can't explain it. But God knows all of it.
Brother, of course, seeing you standing there with glasses on, of course I could say it was your eyes, but I wouldn't pass you through like that, 'cause the public knows that you got glasses on. If I'd say something's wrong with you eyes, sure, they know it is. But there might be something else, and maybe there's something down farther in life, or maybe something that is to be. I do not know, and He may not never show me nothing about you; but if He does, and something that you know that I know nothing of; and if we being strangers, I know nothing of you in the first place. But if the Lord Jesus can reveal something about you, you will believe with your heart? Will you, sir?
Will the audience do likewise? Now you just look here and believe; and if He should talk, just let Him finish, then you can know whether it's truth or not. Sometimes when you speak while the visions going on, it breaks the vision. But I just trust that He'll help you in some way. One of these days we've got to stand in His presence at the judgment bar.

36 You want to get over that diabetes? Sitting there, you believe that God will make you well? Yes, you believe it? The man sitting there with the little white coat on, you was setting there praying, wasn't you? All right, stand on your feet. Jesus Christ... Lay your hand over on the lady next to you there; now put your hand down on the one on the next side, the next side, the lady there. No, the one right on the other side of you there, other side of you, sir, that lady. Put your hand over on her. She had a female disorder, also.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Thy Son the Lord Jesus Christ, I rebuke the devil. There are people's faith arising in such a way that now Satan knows that he's lived his day. Soon he shall receive his judgment, and tonight he will have to leave these people. Come out of them, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the church of the living God, as the new born babes in Christ, with the name of the Lord Jesus to execute judgment upon evil powers, I say, by the authority of God's Word, "Come from the people!" In Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Your faith saves you. Go rejoicing. It's done, finished. Your drainage stopped, sister, so you won't have to be bothered with it no more.

37 Oh, that's the way to believe. That's it. Have faith in God. Just believe with all your heart, your soul and your mind.
I can only do as He tells me. The people are praying, sir. Here He comes again.
Didn't you just have your head down praying? The lady in the pink dress, sitting right back there; you, yes. Do you believe me as His prophet? Have a rectal trouble that's been bothering you. Isn't that right? The lady right there in the pink dress, wasn't you praying when I turned my head? You had bowed your head to pray, right there. It's gone from you now. Your faith has saved you, sister. God bless you. I never healed you. You're satisfied that something has happened to you. If that's right, wave your hand---the lady there. Yes, wave your hand back and forth like that. A rectal trouble burning, hurting all the time. Ceased now. Wave your hand if that's right, see. You're healed. Your faith has saved you.
The same kind of faith that the woman had that had the blood issue when she turned around. Jesus said, "Thy faith has made thee whole." Your faith touched Him tonight, through His church, and through His being here. Now go home and you be well, don't doubt, have faith.

Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

38 Would you just stand around this way just a little bit, sir, right here? No, you just look at me but I just wanted to get my back to the audience. You believe me, do you, sir? I truly believe it, for between you and I seems to be a welcome spirit. More I'd talk to you, perhaps the more the Lord Jesus would show us, tell us, reveal to us. Of course, there's many more standing there in the line. The more I talk, the weaker I get. You realize that, but you believe me.
You're a Christian man. And I see you being taken somewhere with a sheet over you. It was into an operation, that's repeating the second time; you've had two operations, and they've taken from you a tumor, and that tumor has returned; it's on you again. In that they taken a ... they've taken ribs from your body and them ribs come off of the ... (Let's see; you're turned towards your window; it was on the ...) they've come out of the right side. Your ribs was taken out on the right side. And I see you trying to do something.

39 You're deaf in the left ear. Now I see some palm trees a blowing, waving. You're not from this country, but you're not from a palm tree... Oh, you're from a mountain country, a coal mining country where there's a lot of cedars or pines. You're from West Virginia, but you are... There has been a man, someone come get you from Florida, that's come from Florida where the palm trees are; a tall man, thin, kind of bald headed has come and got you and brought you here to the meeting. Those things are true, sir. ["Yes."] Then you know you're in the presence of Something, don't you? If I remember right, you was deaf in your ears or somewhere. Come here just a minute. Let's see the kingdom of God be manifested. Will the audience bow their heads?

40 Lord God, Creator of heavens and earth, Author of life, and Giver of every good gift, that the audience might know that You're Christ the Son of God. We pray now for mercy. Let the power that raised the Lord Jesus from the dead now come into this brother and give him new hearing. Thou demon, evil one, come out of him, thou deaf spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, leave him.
Was it this ear over here? ["Yes."] Do you hear me now? ["Yes."] Do you hear me all right? How long you been deaf in that ear? All right. You may raise your head. The man was deaf all of his life in his ear over here. Now you see my finger. Can you hear me all right? ["Yes, sir] Say, "Amen." ["Amen."] I love the Lord. ["I love the Lord."] Say, "Praise the Lord." ["Praise the Lord."] Now watch I'm just whispering, watch I will put my finger here, see? I love the Lord. ["I love the Lord."] Praise the Lord. ["Praise the Lord."] You are healed. You can go home rejoicing, my brother. The Lord Jesus has healed you.

41 Have faith in God. Jesus said, "If you say to this mountain be moved, plucked up, and cast into the sea, and don't doubt, but believe that what you say will come pass you will have what you ask for." I believe I get what I ask for, for I asked it for God's glory.
You have faith in God. Will you come? How do you do, lady? Are we strangers to each other? You just saw me from the audience, a few years ago in the audience. All right, yes, ma'am. Well, that makes us then strangers to each other. Only Jesus Christ knows us both. Isn't that right?
Now, while His anointed presence is here ... as He talked to a woman one day at the well, just merely to contact her spirit... The Father had no doubt told him to go up by the way of Samaria, and when He stood on the well and He seen the woman coming, perhaps, dressed just the way the Father had told Him that she would be dressed.
And what if you thought the Father told me while I was yet in the building sitting downstairs that there'd be a woman come to me tonight dressed in a blue dress with gray hair, would you believe it? You would. And if He told me that this woman was having trouble sleeping---she's just sleepless---that would be the truth, that would be you, wasn't it? ["Yes."] And it would also be the truth that you had an accident and broke your foot, and the x-ray shows one, two, three places that's broken stiffened your foot. Is that right? Then He tells me that you're healed; do you believe it? ["Amen."] Amen. Then go on your road rejoicing. Wiggle your foot around. Wiggle your foot a little. There you are. There's her foot loose and normal; it's been broken and twisted down for some time.
Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who gives us His victory, His power. Just believe. That's all I ask you to do, is have faith in God.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

42 How do you do, sir? Do you believe with all your heart? Do you believe that the things that you see done, comes from the Lord Jesus? You do. You have a bursted place, don't you? A rupture that's in your right side. That's right. It's a rupture in your right side. That you might know that I know by the power of God... You're a married man and you have a wife and she has a growth on her neck, and you've come here from New Jersey. Go back home and be well, brother, and lay your hands on your wife. In Jesus Christ's name may He heal you and make you well. All right would you...
Do you believe with all your heart? You believe the Lord Jesus Christ is here to reveal to you your life, all about you? If the Lord Jesus will let me know where your trouble lays, will you accept Him as your provider for whatever it is? If it's difficulties, finance, if it's sickness or whatever it is, if He will just tell me what's wrong with you, will you believe Him with all your heart? You got several things wrong with you, but the major thing is you're worried about your heart; you got heart trouble. I said, "You had heart trouble." It's gone from you now. God bless you. You go in the name of the Lord Jesus, be made well.
You had the same thing.

43 You've been bothered, you don't know where... You know you get weak in the afternoon, kind of weak spells. You can't complete your work sometimes; you sit down. Nighttime, you don't rest well. It's a hideous thing. It comes to women, it's a tubercular, but Jesus Christ is here to make you well.
I don't know you. I never seen you, but I seen you sitting in kind of an overstuffed chair that set to the window to the left hand side when you're sitting there kind of meditating. When you heard about me coming up here, you thought if you'd get up in this prayer line, you'd be prayed for, you'd be healed. Isn't that the truth? Only God... You said that in prayer. ["That's true."] I'm not reading your mind; I'm just telling you what you have done. And the Lord Jesus Christ is here and has healed you. Now, you go on your road rejoicing.
Here's another thing: I've noticed in your life you haven't been satisfied with the life that you've lived. ["That's true."] Isn't that right? ["That's true."] You've tried, you've up... Now no one knows that but you and God alone; but that is the truth, isn't it? Now you have the victory. Go live for Him with all your heart. God bless you.

44 Do you believe with all your heart? If I'd ask God to heal you... You believe His presence is here now and would heal you? ["Amen."] Come here just a minute.
Lord, may the power of the enemy leave our sister and may she go from here tonight and be made completely whole. I ask this for Your glory Lord, in Jesus' name I ask it. Amen. God bless you, sister. Believe.
Just a moment. Something happened just then. Someone was healed. I can't... Oh, it was you; you had stomach trouble. It's gone from you. God bless you. Your faith made you whole before you could get here. Let us say, "Praise be to God."
Do you believe, brother? Do you believe that Jesus Christ will make you well, heal your eyes? Do you believe He'll make you well? If God knows what is your trouble, God knows how to heal you, doesn't He? Come here just a minute, my brother.

45 Heavenly Father, in Thy kindness I pray that You'll bless our dear brother. Take this evil thing from him and may he go out of the building tonight, healthy, happy, and rejoicing. Through Jesus the Son of God I ask it. Amen. All right. God bless you, brother. Go on your road happy and rejoicing now, and be made well.
If I would tell you that while you were standing in that line, back behind the curtain there, that I saw you in a vision with that heart trouble and things and you was healed, would you believe it? You was, so you can just go on.
Come...

46 Everyone believing with all your heart?
Do you believe the Lord Jesus will make you well, sister? Do you believe that He stands ... that you stand in His presence now? You have heart trouble also; a female ... it's a lady's trouble, but the Lord Jesus is here to make you well. Do you believe that with all your heart? [A lady says, "Yes, I do."]
Let me have your hand. I want to show you so you will be sure to know; I want you to look at my hand here. See how that...? Now watch. I put your hand over on mine. Now look now. See how them little white things run over the top of my hand? Now I take it off; it isn't there. Put mine on; it isn't there. Now take your other hand; it isn't there. Now put your other hand ... you yourself just lay your hand on. There it is, see.
Now something's going on there, isn't it? You see that. Now you just lift your hand off, just take your hand off. Now, see how different it looks? Now put your other hand on it, you put your hand on yourself, turn it sideways so it will lay down flat on my hand. It isn't there now is it? Now watch the difference in this hand and that hand. Here it comes. Now do you believe if I ask Him, it will go away? All right, I want you just to hold your hand just ... you watch mine.

47 Now, kind Heavenly Father, that this woman might know that Thou art Christ, the Son of God, and I stand here as your servant, I ask for mercy for her and say to this demon that would deceive her and take her life, come out of her. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ leave the woman.
I want you to look at your hand. Something has happened, hasn't it? Now lay this hand here on it. Doesn't move, does it? Now lay this hand back, which did turn red. Something's happened, hasn't it? It's gone from you; you're healed. You're well now; you can go. God bless you.
How do you do, sister? Do you believe with all your heart that you're standing in His presence, the Lord Jesus? ["Oh, yes, I do."] You have heart trouble for one thing. Ladies' trouble, which are ladies your age. You're awfully nervous: just the time of life that you're living. Only God alone knows those things, but He reveals to me exactly what your troubles is. Isn't that right? Now do you believe that He will make you well? ["Yes, I do."]
Then, kind Heavenly Father, I ask for mercy for our sister. May she go from here tonight well, for I condemn this demon that it leaves her, in Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
God bless you, sister. Go happy and rejoicing now and be made well.

48 Would you come, lady?
Now, don't move if you can help it, friends. See, the Angel of the Lord ... when it moves in the audience it's moving... But people moving upsets me. Are you getting tired or weary? It's becoming blurry over the audience, and the peoples move it upsets me. And you don't know the strain I'm going through to stand here, and I pray that I don't do anything wrong to make you ... or, keep you too long. I'm only trying to help the people here. If it was your people, you would be willing to sit if it was you.
So, I want to take your hand just a minute, lady. And every person in this building, do you want to be healed right now? Lady, you were healed of the heart trouble that you've been having, the different things that has been wrong; God has healed you now. You go on your road rejoicing.

49 And I want the rest of you to stand to your feet just a minute if you will. I want you to look this way to me just a minute. Now get reverent just a moment. I've been just as sincere with you as I know how to be sincere. I've told you the Word of the Lord. The Lord Jesus has come right around and confirmed that to be the truth. Is that right? Do you believe me now? If I would tell you anything, would you believe it now? You would?
I tell you this is the truth, that every person in this building can be made well right now if you'll just accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your healer. If these other things has been right, this is right. And I tell you that He now wants to make every person in here well, if you're ready to accept it. Are you? If you are, raise up your hand and say, "I accept it."
Now, Lord Jesus, Thou who knows all things, I ask that You will be blessed among Your people tonight. And these people who are standing with their hands up in the air, send down the power of the Holy Ghost, like at the day of Pentecost, and in the name of Jesus Christ condemn every sick person.
Satan, come out of here; you're a liar, you're ruined, your hoax's broke. And I now pronounce every person in here, under the power of the Holy Ghost, that Jesus Christ makes you well.

Have faith in God

1 Thank you, Brother Joseph. Let us, while we remain standing, just bow our heads for a moment of prayer.
Lord, it is good to be here in this fellowship of the Holy Spirit to minister the Word of God to these who are hungry and waiting. Our hearts are overjoyed, because of the privileges that You have given us. And we pray now that You'll feed the flock which the Holy Ghost has give us overseer-sight for. And grant tonight that many may be saved and healed for the glory of God, in the name of the Lord Jesus, we ask it. Amen. You may be seated.

2 Just a little bit hoarse from so much speaking and overtaxation of voice, but I am looking forward to the exceeding abundantly this week, this being the opening of our campaign in Chicago. And then, we're expecting the Lord, this year, to do for us the greatest that He's ever done. I am looking forward to that.
So happy tonight to see this fine bunch of brethren sitting here on the platform, Gospel ministers to pray for me while I'm trying to bring to you the Word of God in my broken way. And all to you that's out here, you're the cream of the crop to me. And I'm happy to be here to minister in His name.
Now, I'm not much of a preacher, as you already know, but I like to say what I can about the Word of God. Won't take much of your time, and then hurry right into the healing services, because we've got many services coming this week. Be looking for you each night. Now, let us put our shoulders to the wheel.

3 This is the only time we're going to be mortal. This is the only time that we can have the privilege of winning a soul. Let's do it this week. If every person in here will try with all your heart to win some soul to Christ this week, there'll be joybells of heaven ringing. Let us remember that and do all that we can. Get the sick and afflicted here. How can they be healed, unless they're here to see it? Faith cometh by hearing, hearing the Word.
And now, this afternoon I preached on "Why We Must Be Born Again." And tonight, I want to speak, the Lord willing, on "Have Faith in God."

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

4 And then, this week I have some messages on my heart of "The Handwriting On The Wall," "Will The Church Go Before The Tribulation Period?" It's prophecies and so forth of the Scriptures, that I wish to, if the Lord willing, speak on this week.
You tape lovers, who take the tapes, my boys, my good friends, brothers, Brother Leo Mercer and Gene Goad is here. They have the tapes. They take them and sell them, just a little small margins. They're my own brothers and partners, so... They don't make very much off of them, just enough to handle. Just a little ... forget ... three dollars and something, I think. Where we ordered one here not long ago from a certain evangelist and cost nine dollars to get the tape---same tape. And we almost sell three for that. They're not for sale on Sunday. Nothing we sell on Sunday. It must be Monday or the rest of the week.
So you'll be welcome to have them at... And I believe they'll have a their concession stand or... Brother Leo, where will be your stand? Yes, they got some books with them too, will be at the front of the building, after tonight. The Lord bless you now, and pray for me as I read.

5 In the book of St. Mark, the eleventh chapter, and I wish to begin tonight at the twentieth verse and read a portion, and then I want to quote back sometimes, the original translation. This is the King James.
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
And Peter calling to remembrance said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
...Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Now, I want to quote that from the original, that last verse.
...verily, I say unto you, That whosoever shall say into this mountain be thou lifted up and... thrown into the sea; and shall... believe in his heart that it is being done, shall have what he saith.
My subject is, "Have Faith in God." Now, we are taught in God's blessed Word, that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word... or, of the Word. Now, faith is also an experience. And many times faith is had... by a former experience makes faith grow. Faith being the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things that's not seen, so many people fail to find the real meaning of what faith is. Some people believe that faith is some sensation or some emotion. But the Bible said that faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

6 Now, some thinks that it's a mental conception of the Word, but that is not right. Faith is a substance. Faith is not a myth. Faith is a substance of things hoped for; the evidence... To have an evidence, it must be a substance. So it is not just something that you imagine in your mind; it's something that absolutely you have. It's something that you possess in your own being. And what is it? It's the evidence of things that you have hoped for. It's the evidence of things you do not have as yet, but you have the authority of God to say that you have it. It's an evidence, something you have in your heart.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

7 Now, it's not something that you just kind of push yourself to. I've noticed so much of that in my meetings, that people try to work themselves up into something, to make them believe. Now, you can't do that. You're just beating the air. But faith is something that's just as calm and settled as it can be. It's taking God at His Word and having the assurance in your heart, that God is able to keep what He has said that He would do and will perform everything that He said He would do.
Now, I've noticed it many times: people think they must be prayed for. That's all right. We should pray for each other. Or that their hands might be ... or, some evangelist's hands must be ministered. That's all right. That'll bring contacts and so forth of faith. But real, unadulterated faith is taking God at His Word. That's the main thing.

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

8 In the meeting, my meeting has never been to a place to where I have tried to make the people think that there was something that God had given me a little special towards healing someone. That's an error. God has given no one any powers to heal someone. Healing comes alone by faith, and faith in a work that's already been done, a finished work that Christ did at Calvary.
It's so much like this, that if I was starving for food, and one loaf of bread would save my life, and you passed by in the country somewhere, and you see me starving, and you say, "Brother Branham, are you hungry?"
I say, "I will die shortly if I do not have some bread." And you reach into your pocket and give me twenty-five cents. And you say, "Brother Branham, this is the purchase power of a loaf of bread."

9 Now, I reach out and receive the twenty-five cents. Now, if you tell me that, and I just imagine I've got the twenty-five cents, I'm only deceiving myself. I've got to hold the twenty-five cents in my possession. The twenty-five cents is the faith that we have to have.
Now, twenty-five cents is not a loaf of bread, but it's the purchase power of the loaf of bread. And after I have received the twenty-five cents, I can be just as happy with that twenty-five cents, as I could be with the loaf of bread in my hand. I can rejoice just as much when you give me the twenty-five cents, as if you gave me the loaf of bread, because I have the purchase power of the loaf of bread, and I know there's plenty of bread for sale.

10 And when I have faith that God is going to keep His Word, though I'm not healed at the present time, I know God has plenty of healing power, and I've got the faith to bring it to me. I'm just as happy with the faith that says, "You're going to get well." as you would be if you were sound and well at that minute. It makes no difference, because you've already possessed it. Faith is a substance, not a make-belief. But you're holding, not in your hand, but in the possession of your heart, you have the purchase power of your healing.

11 Now, with this twenty-five cents, I might have to walk several miles to get the loaf of bread. But all the time when I'm walking, I'm getting weaker and weaker, but rejoicing all the time, because I know as soon as I arrive at the place, I'm going to have the bread. I may have to go over the hill, and down through the thicket, across the river, and over the stumps, and I may get so hungry before I get there, till I've even got cramps in my stomach. But I'm rejoicing all the time, yet getting worse, weaker, hungrier; I'm rejoicing, because I hold in my possession, the purchase power of that bread. And when a man really looks to God with unadulterated faith, that God is able to keep what He's promised, he can rejoice, no matter how sick he gets or how bad he suffers. All the hurting he is, or whether he's prayed for, or whether he isn't, it's a settled thing with that man, when he receives the faith.
There is an old proverb that I like to quote once in awhile, and that's this: "A coward dies ten thousand deaths, when a hero never dies." A coward, he's always scared. He's running at every little thing. As we would call it, in the hunter's language, he's spooked all the time. He's afraid of every little shadow.

12 That's the way with a man who comes and professes that he has faith and is spooked at every little scarecrow the devil can put before him. Oh, my, he thinks, "Oh, I'm not any better. I just don't feel as well as I did yesterday." What difference does it make? If you've got real faith in your heart that God's going to keep His Word, all the hurts, and aches, and pains, and shadows will not amount to anything. You believe it in your heart. It's yours, and there's nothing can take it away from you. It's yours; it's a gift that God has given you, the blessed assurance that what you asked for, He's able to perform it, because He's promised it. There's real faith.

13 That's what it takes to overcome. And if you notice, Jesus didn't say, "Quickly, this mountain will be throwed into the sea." But, "If thou will ask for this mountain to be raised up and thrown into the sea, and will believe in your heart that it's being done, you shall have what you say." Oh, my. When you go to the mountain and say, "Mountain, be cast up, throwed into the sea." Look, say, "Oh, it never happened. I guess I haven't got faith."
When you say, "Mountain, be raised up and thrown into the sea," and your objective is right, and your motive is right, you may not see one bit of difference in that mountain. Maybe just one little grain of sand moved when you said that, but it's being moved. No matter how small it is, it's taking place.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

14 And when you raise your hand to Christ and say, "I receive You as my healer. I believe that You will make me well," there may not be one physical thing that you could point to, but down on the inside of you, something's taking place, because God said it would take place. You just can't imagine it. You've got to believe it, that it's taking place. And how do you believe it? Look who said it. Christ said it.
Now, we find in the Bible, many characters that we could refer to, if time would permit. Let's take for instance, when the armies of Israel, once, was called out to arms against the Philistines. And they had plenty of wars. And it would go first one way and then another. One would win, and then the other would win, and they would pay tribute, and tithings ... or, tribute money, rather, to each other for years. And then the other army would raise up and overcome.

15 One day while they were called out to battle, there was a great big prehistoric giant called Goliath, fourteen inch fingers, and with a spear as long as a weaver's needle. Many feet... Oh, he was a giant up beside of any of the Israelites or any man on the other side. And he made a challenge and a proposition with king Saul and the Israelite army. He said, "Let a man be drawed from your army and come, fight me. If I whip him, then you serve us. If he whips me, then we serve you. And we won't have any further bloodshed."
How the devil likes to do that when he thinks he's got the upper hand.
So if there was any man in the whole army of Israel that was physically able to anyway match this great challenge, it was Saul, himself. For the first place, he was a well trained warrior. And another thing, he was head and shoulders above any man in the army, great big wide-shouldered, athletical-looking fellow, well-trained, a trainer of men. And if anyone should've challenged, or accepted the challenge, it should be Saul. But he was just as yellow as a pumpkin. He was afraid to go and match spears with this Philistine.

1 Samuel 17:7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

1 Samuel 17:8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

1 Samuel 17:9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.

16 But one day there come a little ruddy-looking fellow, who never had a armor on in his life. He was a little sheepherder with a little sheep coat on. He had some raisin pies for his brother, that his daddy, Jesse, had sent him up there.
But this big giant made his challenge once too often. This little ruddy man, who didn't know nothing about the training of a spear or how to fight an army, but he had had an experience with the Living God. And that living experience that he'd previously had with the Living God, raised in him, when he seen right and wrong in conflict.
When you know whether you're right or not, look at your objective. See whether it's right or wrong. See whether it's right that we should pray for the sick or not. See whether it's right that we should accept God on the bare basis of His Word and call those things which are not as though they were. See if God has made a promise, "Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe you receive them, and ye shall have them."

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

17 David yet, maybe, had never seen an army before. But he knowed one thing, that back over in the fields by the green pastures, and down by the still waters, he'd come personally in contact with the Living God. And he had faith in that God who had talked to him, because he had had an experience of seeing God's great power.
Now, here's what I'm trying to say. When you see God's great power demonstrated, it ought to rise in you an unadulterated faith to take God at His Word and believe, that what God has said, God will do. If He's God at all, He keeps His Word.
So Saul, as many people today, many church members, well trained in theology, doctors of divinity, but has never had an experience of putting faith to a real challenge. And there's many fine trained ministers today in the pulpits and out in the schools, great doctors and so forth who are well trained, better trained than many of the men who's making challenges, but they've never had an experience to see the real true God move. They only know it from the way of training.

18 And Saul well represents that today ... or, the church represents Saul. If any man ought to be able to go out and challenge the devil, against his evil, is a man who's a great school teacher of the Bible, a man who knows all the Greek words, who knows all the great doctrines of the Bible. But they're afraid. They'll talk against it as Saul did, and say, "You're not able to go against this, you little ruddy fellow. This man is trained and a warrior from his youth. And you're nothing but a youth." And he said, "Come here, and I will give you some of my theology."
So he put his armor and his degree upon the little David, but he come to find out, that his ecclesiastical vest didn't fit a man of God. So he said, "Take the thing off of me, and let me go just the way I met God."
That's the way we want to go. Not with some great seminary teaching, but with the experience that we've had when God filled our life with the Holy Spirit and changed us from sinners unto Christians. Let us go with that type of faith, somebody who's had an experience. It might not be a great trained group today that has that experience. It may be the little ruddy mission down on the corner. It might not be those who are great men, and under the great cathedrals, and the chapels, and the chimes a-ringing. It may be little old housewife who couldn't hardly sign her name to a paper, but she's had an experience that God keeps His Word.

1 Samuel 17:33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

1 Samuel 17:38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

1 Samuel 17:39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

19 Might be a little old boy that couldn't read a text out of a Bible, but he's had an experience, that he's met God and been born again by the Holy Spirit, and he's able to challenge the devil in the midst of the darkness to a showdown on His Word. Certainly.
It's men like that, and women like that, that make the challenge, that get something from God. Many times they'll sit in the meeting and say, "This is Dr. So-and-so. He's been ill for some time." And then see a little old unconcerned, maybe colored woman, who maybe didn't even know her ABC's, be healed of a cancer, sitting by him.
God wants men to believe Him. "If thou shalt say in thy heart, and believe that it's being done, you shall have what you say."

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

20 It was after Abraham, that had met God, after being seventy-five years old, down in the land of the Chaldeans in the city of Ur, it was there that after Abraham met God, he could call those things which were not as though they were, because he'd believed God after he had had an experience of meeting God.
It was Moses, after all the training he'd had by his mama, and all the wisdom of the Egyptians rested in the bosom of Moses, and God sent him out on the backside of the desert to forget it all. And Moses, a coward, and not felt physically ... or, spiritually, rather, fit to lead this great army of people, but it was after he'd come in contact with the bush, that fire, that burnt out that he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible. He was better qualified for the job, five minutes after he'd met the Lord in the burning bush with an experience, than he had all of his eighty years of training.

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Hebrews 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

21 And men and women who meet God, who know what they're talking about, it's that type of person that God can use. Not so much as we have to have our schools and polish up. That isn't it.
I've often made this rude, seemingly ridiculous remark, but it's true: "Christ is not known by theology, but He's known by kneeology." It sounds rude, but it's truth. Christ is known as you approach Him with a sincere heart and believe. That's how He's known.

22 Now, we take for instance, in the Bible, Philip, when he went over and found Nathanael under a tree, praying, and he said, "Nathanael, come, see who we have found. It's Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."
And the Israelite, being very stanch and orthodox, and all of his scholarship and his teaching, he said, "Now, could there be any good thing come from Nazareth?"
You know, Philip had had an experience; he'd seen Jesus in previous battles; He said, "Come, and see."
That's the best I know to tell a man. "Come and sit down awhile." And if there's any life in you, it'll show up when you're in the presence of the resurrected Jesus.

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

23 And we see him as he come, how Philip could instruct him and say, "Now, I won't be a bit surprised, that when you stand in the presence of this Prophet... I know you're a good man, and I know that if you're once convinced, well, you'll know the truth. And you know what the Bible said would happen when the Messiah come, so I'm sure you'll be convinced. Now, I want you to come with an open heart. Why, you know, I wouldn't be a bit surprised that when you stand before Him, He will tell you who you are. Why, I seen Him, just a few days ago, when an old fisherman, that was called an ignorant and an unlearned man, when he sat in His presence, He said, 'Your name is Simon. And your father's name is Jonas. And from henceforth, you'll be called Peter.' Why, I won't be a bit surprised that He will tell you who you are." He would seen Jesus. He had an experience. He knew that what Jesus could do, because he'd had an experience. He knew what was in Him.

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

24 So as Nathanael walked up close to where Jesus was, He turned His head and looked at him and said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom is no guile."
He must have thought, "That's just what Philip said."
And he said, "Rabbi, when did You know me?"
He said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you."
It was then that this starchy, orthodox, after he'd seen the power of Christ, could fall on his knees and say these words immortal, "Thou art the Christ. Thou art the King of Israel." It was after he had seen the working of the great Holy Spirit in Him, that he could say those words. He could not say them beforehand, but he could now, for he stood and he seen for himself, then he knew that the living God rested in the Man. And it was time for the Messiah to come; therefore, he could say, "You are the Messiah; You are the King of Israel. You are the Son of God." After he had had an experience, faith rose in him when he seen the glory of God.

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

25 No wonder that Samson could take the jawbone of a mule and beat down a thousand Philistines after he'd felt the power of God surge through him once, and grabbed a lion and killed it.
That was the reason David could have such faith against Goliath. He said, "Your servant," to Saul, "once herded his father's sheep. And while I was out there, a bear come in and got one of my little lambs. And I took out after him, and I overcome him. And a lion come and got a kid, and I knocked him down with my slingshot. And then when he rose up against me, I grabbed him by the beard and I slew him, single-handed." He said, "The God that delivered me from the paws of the lion and from the bear, how much more will He deliver me from that uncircumcised Philistine." He had an experience, a previous experience. He had seen the power of God to deliver. He knew that God was.

1 Samuel 17:34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

1 Samuel 17:35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

1 Samuel 17:36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

26 The little woman with the blood issue that had spent all of her money for the physicians and none of them could help her, that she crept through the crowd; in her little heart was hope, just hope. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Her hopes, if she could ever touch the garment of that holy man, that she would be healed of her blood issue. She was hoping so, and when she got there and touched His garment, her satisfaction was met. And Jesus turned Himself around. She'd never seen Him before in action. She'd heard: faith cometh by hearing. She'd heard He could do that. So when she touched His garment and He turned around and said, "Who has touched Me?"
And Peter said, "Lord, all of them is touching You."
He said, "But I have gotten weak. Someone touched Me."
She's standing back in the crowd, wondering. After a bit, those great sparkling blue eyes moved around till it found the little woman, standing in the midst of thousands and said, "You are the one that touched Me." It was then that she could fall on her face and recognize who He was.

Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Mark 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Mark 5:32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

Mark 5:33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

Luke 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

Luke 8:47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

27 It was the woman at the well who was a bad woman, as we would call her, a woman of ill fame. It was she who had a Bible training, for she could converse with Jesus of Nazareth, not knowing who He was, about God being worshipped at Jerusalem or in the mountain. It was she that was well-trained that some day there would be someone come, who would be the Messiah, and the things that He would do. When she was talking to Him, it was her, standing there, a guilty prostitute, talking to the Master. But when He looked at her and He said, "Woman, go get your husband and come here."
And she said, "I don't have any husband."
He said, "That is truth. You've had five. And the one you have now is not your husband."
What? It was then that they heard her say, "You must be a Prophet. We know that when the Messiah cometh, this will be the sign of the Messiah. But we don't know who You are."
He said, "I am He that speaks to you."
It was after that experience of seeing Him do something in that manner, that she could run into the city and say, "Come, see a Man who told me all I've done." It was after she'd had an experience of seeing the living God move and work.

John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

John 4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

28 It was on the day of Pentecost, when a hundred and fifty Jews were in an upper room with the doors closed, waiting for the promise, cowardly, afraid to testify, the doors shut because of the threat of the Jews. It was after the resurrected Christ had come in the form of the Holy Spirit, and had give them an experience, and licking tongues of fire set upon them, it was then they could run out into the streets, and Peter could say, "Ye men of Israel, and you that dwell in Judaea, let this be known unto you and hearken to my words." It was after he had had the experience of receiving the Holy Spirit, that he could testify fearless and seal his testimony with his own blood, crucified with his head turned down. After he had had an experience...

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

29 Before Jesus told them to move the mountain yonder with their faith, before He did that, He asked them this. He had showed His power on a little old tree. Think of all of the things that He could've done with that power, but passing by the tree, He saw no food on it, and He said, "No man eateth from thee from henceforth, for all seasons."
And the next day when they passed by, they saw His power had went to work. They had an experience that He had power to speak into existence or speak out of existence. It was then that Jesus told them, "Have faith in God; for if you'll say to this mountain, be ye raised up and thrown into the sea, and don't doubt, but believe that what you say shall come to pass, you can have what you say."

Matthew 21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

Mark 11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

30 I do not know you here tonight. There's hardly anyone that I know in the building, but there's one thing sure: God knows each of you. And you'll be guilty after this meeting, if God shall perform His same works in this building tonight, after you've had an experience that He keeps His Word; for He said before His going away, "The works that I do, shall you also." And if He made that promise, and He keeps that promise, then you'll be guilty of sin (and sin is unbelief), if God will show Himself alive tonight in the building, and you'll go out of here still with doubt in your heart. May God show His power, that He keeps His promise.
After nineteen hundred years, He's just as alive tonight, as He was when He performed that miracle with the woman at the well. May He show Himself alive tonight, so that when the atomic age soon arrives, or your time is finished on earth, and you stand before Him, you will be without an excuse. Let us pray.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

31 All ages, Thou art God. Before there was a light, You were God. Before there was a heaven, You were God. And when all lights is finished and no stars are shining, the solar system has vanished, You'll still be God.
How comes then, that we little insignificant men will try to comprehend in our mind, or let Satan deceive us by trying to make us doubt what You've said is truth. Surely, You keep Your Word. Thou doest look and seek out diligently, throughout all the earth, to find someone that You can show Your glory through, for You're so anxious to let people see that the great God who made the promise keeps the promise. And grant tonight, Almighty God, You are sovereign; even in our unbelief Your grace overrides our unbelief. And we believe You to be the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, infinite God. And we would ask tonight to forgive us of our sins and shortcomings, all of our doubts and unbelief.

32 And once more, eternal and blessed God, display for the glory of God and the fulfilling of Your Word, Your great sovereign power, that in that day, men will not have a word to say against it, because now they can take their choice: they either believe it or reject it. As You have did through the ages, be tonight at the closing of this Gentile dispensation. And O God, if we stuck-up, indifferent, high-headed, haughty-minded Gentiles would just gaze our eyes upon Thy Word, we'd realize, Lord, who we are, and how little we are. But we believe that You've give us a day of grace through Jesus our Lord.
And now, Lord, fulfill Thy Word, and come into this little church tonight, and manifest Your same power that You did when You were on earth. And we will bow our heads in humility and give You the glory, for we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

33 At this moment I'm not going to make an altar call. I'm going to wait just a few moments with nothing but one objective, that is, that the faith that's in my heart, that by grace God placed there, He will appear here tonight and will do the same as He did. Don't be stubborn hearted. Don't be slothful, but be ready. The trouble with the people now: they've seen God's glory so much, it becomes a common thing.
Some time ago, a man was going to the seashore, for he wanted to go to relax, for he'd read many stories about the sea, as you've read about God. And he said, "I long to be by the seashore. I've never seen it. I long to smell it's salt water. I long to hear the sea gulls as they go through the air, screaming. I long to see the great white caps, as it raises up and dances for glee, and how it jumps against the bank in it's anger, to know that God has made the moon to watch over it, and set its bounds that is cannot pass. Oh, I want to see all that the sea will offer."
How you ought to be willing, tonight, and longing to see all that God will offer.

34 And as He went, he met an old sailor coming from the sea. He said, "Where goest thou?"
He said, "I'm going to the sea to see all that it will offer, its waves, its salt water, and the great white foam as it bursts into the air from the salt."
The old sailor said, "Why, there's nothing attractive about it. I've rode those waves since I was a child. I've smelled salt, till I feel that I'm pickled." He said, "And I've heard gulls holler, till I don't even notice them no more. There's nothing attractive about it."
What was the matter? The man had seen it so much, until it was so common, he couldn't detect its beauty.
And to you Pentecostal and full gospel people who attends such meetings, you've seen the glory of God so much, until it's so common you don't catch the real power and glory of it any more. Now, that is true. God grant tonight that you'll realize your privilege that you have of being called out as a people, and sit in the presence of God to see His power manifested.

35 Lord Jesus, the rest belongs to You. Water the Word, Lord, and may it not return void. May it accomplish that which it is purposed for. Thou knows the objectives of my heart, and I know what You meant when You preached the Word. Now, confirm it, Lord, and it'll be complete. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Billy, where is Billy Paul? And I want Gene Goad to come here just a moment. I want Billy to stand down here and Gene over here to remove the people when they're prayed for. And I believe that there was... Excuse me, I didn't... What's...? [Someone speaks with Brother Branham.] One to a hundred? All right. What? A's, one to a hundred, the prayer cards.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

36 How we do the prayer cards: we bring them down, mix them all up together before the people and give anybody a prayer card that wishes one. That's the only... And then we might start from 1; we might start from 50; we might start from 30; each night we try to start from something different. That doesn't matter. You might get card 1, and the next one that's sitting by you gets card 50, and the one back there gets card 75. Then when that's done, then we call somewhere; one gets up from here, one over here, and one back here, and one up in the balcony, they come down. What's that to do? They get a contact; to get the Spirit to get one person singled out. As soon as it gets started moving, soon as I talk to them like our blessed Saviour did, which is Him doing His work. And then over in the audience...

37 How many believes that the Bible, the New Testament, the book of Hebrews, teaches that Jesus Christ today, is a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmity? Certainly He is. How would you know you touched Him? By the same motive the Bible explains: when the woman touched Him, He turned and said, "Who touched Me?" and explained to her what had taken place. He's the same today. And when Philip found Nathanael, and He did the miracle on Nathanael, Nathanael knew that that was the Messiah. That was a Jew.
And when the woman at the well at Samaria, when the miracle was done on her, she recognized that was the sign of the Messiah.
Then the Bible teaches, or does it? Hebrews 13:8, that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And the Bible teaches in Saint John 14:8, that Jesus Christ said that "the works that I do shall you also." Then He manifests Himself the same. He said in Saint John 5:19, "I do nothing except My Father shows Me first what to do." Then He is the same. He's raised from the dead. His presence is here. And if He manifests Himself according to His own promise in His Word, then if you doubt it, it's your own unbelief.

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

38 Let's start from number 1, tonight, being it's the first night. Who has prayer card number 1? Would you raise up your hand, somewhere in the building? Prayer card number 1? [Gap in the audio.]
Now, is... Come, lady, this lady here. Now, let us be real reverent, and I will ask that my audience don't leave, especially till I can get this line or someone in the meeting, at least three people. Then if God does that, then I'm free, and God is free. The rest lays on your shoulders alone. And if you can't believe it, there's not a thing on earth can help you, that I know of. If God can't help you, who can? So let us be reverent, and let us believe.
Now, as far as I know, this lady is a... We're strangers to each other, are we? All right. Now, here is a picture just like it was in the Bible. Here's a woman who is of a different race from me. And the fourth chapter, I believe it is, of the book of John, Jesus met a woman, who was a different race from Him, and He said to her, "Bring me a drink." What was He doing? Contacting her spirit. And when He found where her trouble was and told her where her trouble was, it was immoral living. And when He told her, she quickly said, "Now we believe that You're a Prophet. But we know that when the Messiah cometh, He will do these things."
He said, "I am He." And she ran and told others that she had met the Messiah. Now, if He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, He's obligated to declare Himself the same way.

John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

39 And now, lady, not knowing you, and I've never seen you in my life, as far as I know; this is just we meet here. But if the Lord Jesus, by some way, will let me know what you're asking of Him, would you believe it to be the same, as the woman of Samaria said, "We know that that's the Messiah by the sign."? Would you believe that? You will?
Will the audience believe it? That you might know the sincerity of both the woman and I, here's the Bible. And I have never seen the woman in my life, is that right? We don't know each other. That's right? Raise your hand so that they'll see. We know not each other. And if He will... I don't say that He will; I believe He will. I believe He will, but if He will and this one case would settle it exactly, then it's to you next.
How many has never seen one of the meetings before, raise your hand? Never been in one of the meetings? The same ones that's raised their hands that they've never been in one of my meetings, knows that this is the Scripture, what Jesus promised, raise your hands back again. All right. That would settle it.
Now she and you, if He does, will have to know that it's some supernatural power. Now, it depends on what you think it is. You know what the Pharisees said when that was done to Philip? They said, "He's Beelzebub, the devil. He's a spiritualist, a fortuneteller."
Jesus said, "I will forgive you for that, but when the Holy Ghost comes and does the same thing, one word against it will never be forgiven in this world, neither in the world to come." God be merciful. We're not playing church; this is the last hours of this Gentile race. And it's the sovereignty of God.

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

40 Let me say this: you're looking for something to come to pass that's already here; it's going pass you, and you don't know it. You're trying to place it in a future. Little did they know Elijah was Elijah, till he was dead. Little did they know Elisha was, until he was gone. Little did they know that John was; even the disciples didn't know he was that man. They even said to Jesus, "Why does the Scripture say that Elias must come first?"
He said, "He's already come, and you didn't know him." They didn't know who Saint Francis of Assisi was. They didn't know who Saint Patrick was.
The Catholic church claims him, but he was about as much Catholic as I am. He protested the church, and so did Saint Francis of Assisi. How about Joan of Arc, a spiritual woman who saw visions and everything, and the Catholic church burned her to a stake, not knowing who she was, and hundreds of years later, dug up the bodies of the priests, and done a repentance by throwing them in the river. Now, she's a saint. It went past them before they knew it.
Don't let this pass you. It's not me, but it's Him. Don't let His blessed, resurrected presence pass by, and you're looking to... A devil's pointing you in the future, when it's right here, now.

Matthew 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

Matthew 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

Mark 9:11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

Mark 9:13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

41 If I knew, lady, one thing to help you, I would do it. But by a divine gift that's ordained of God, by His permission, for we unworthy Gentiles to enjoy, if He will reveal to me what you're asking Him, then you will believe Him? I believe you said awhile ago you would accept it. I have no way of knowing you, only through the Spirit, the eternal Spirit of God. But I'm just speaking to you, as He did the woman at the well.
I've been preaching. Usually the manager does the preaching. And then I just come in under the anointing, and I can stand longer, quicker, faster. But this is a different anointing. One is preaching the Word, and the other is working through a gift, same Spirit, two different manifestations.
But the woman who stands before me, she's aware that something's going on. And the woman is suffering from an extremely nervous condition. That is right. And I see blood dripping. She's got bleeding, and it's internal bleeding. That's right. And you've been to the hospital for an operation, one, two, three times, and it's unsuccessfully. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD.
You be the judge whether that's true or not. Is it? If it is, raise up your hand, if that's true. Do you believe you're in His presence, the same One who could tell the woman? I don't know what I said to you. The only way I know is by the recording. Do you believe Him now? You accept what you've asked for? You accept Him as your Healer, or whatever you've asked for, you believe you have it now? In your heart you believe it? Then go, and God's peace rest upon this woman, who I bless in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Now, there's one thing I can remember. There was a spirit of darkness over you. And it's not there now. Your faith has healed you, your own faith in the living God. Now, go rejoicing and be happy.

42 Not knowing you, sir, it would be total impossible for me to know what you would be standing here for, unless Someone would reveal it to me. And that Someone is His presence, who you're aware now that He's present. And if the great Holy Spirit will confirm God's eternal Word, and believe, as we do, that He will do it, would you accept what you ask for? You are not here for yourself. You're here for someone else, and that is a man, I believe looks younger than you. He's a relative to you by marriage, a son-in-law. The man is not here either. He's not even in this county, this city, or this state. He's in a state where there's many great lakes, Michigan. And he's in a hospital, and he's suffering with a mental disturbance, and he's got arthritis. That's "Thus saith the Lord." Do you believe? Then let us pray. Eternal and blessed God, the Morning Star, the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the valley, we pray Thee, to give mercy to this man, as we lay hands upon him in the name of Thy Son, the Lord Jesus. Amen. The Lord bless you, sir, and grant you your request.

43 I have no way of knowing you, or knowing what your conditions are, or what you're here for. But the Lord God, omnipotent, knows your heart, and if He will reveal the things that's in your heart... Now, for instance, you needed healing, and I would say... Lay my hands on you and go to saying, "The devils go away, and the sickness go away." Then say, "Lady, you're well." You'd have a right to doubt that, because you don't know what that future will be. But if He will reveal what the past has been, then you know whether it's true or not. That's the miracle.
You're extremely nervous, because you've been weary. And you're... See you holding your chest like a smothering. No, it's pain. You have pains all in your chest. And I see you in a hospital also. And this is the cause of that, which was from an operation, from a gall bladder condition, some time ago. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD. Do you believe now, that Christ, God's Son, is present, working through vines ... or through the (as I would say) through the branches, and His love is to you to give to you that what you ask for, do you believe that? Then Lord God omnipotent, we pray that You will manifest Your blessings to this woman, and give to her, and reward her according to her faith, through Christ's name we ask it. Amen. The Lord bless you, my sister. And as you have believed, so will it be unto you. May God be with you.

44 How do you do, sir. I suppose that you and I are total strangers to each other? I never met you in my life, as I know of, but you are aware that something's going on, and that is the feeling that you have now. You don't get that by standing by a man. It's His presence. That the audience might know, would you raise your hand if there's a sweet, humble, feeling around you? You feel the Spirit of the Lord? Raise up your hand.
There's something connected with this man about waters or across the sea. And I see a woman, also near him; it's in vision, and it is a woman. Here she sits right here with a little red hat on. And I see waters, and she's praying about someone. It's a relative. It's a man. It's her brother. And the man is sick unto death, if God doesn't heal him, because he's got a tumor in his breast. And he doesn't live here. He lives across the seas in Norway. It's a great hilly, knobby country. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD. Have faith in God and say to this mountain, "Be ye raised up and thrown into the sea." Don't doubt, but if you'll believe right now, something will turn loose.
This man's connected with some sort of overseas water, but he's praying for someone else. It's a man, a brother. And the brother has been in a hospital, and the doctors are stumped over his condition. They don't know whether it's his breathing or whether it's his heart that's a doing it. It's neither one. It's his nerves. If you'll believe with all your heart, right now, and don't doubt, you can have what you ask for. Do you believe? Then receive what you've asked for in the name of the Lord Jesus.

45 Not knowing you, little lady, if thou canst believe... The lady, colored lady sitting right back here, there is that light. And the woman is praying for her husband. He has a throat trouble. That you might know who I'm speaking of, he's also a backslider. That's right. Do you believe that you touched something? I never seen you; you're just sitting there. But you've touched the High Priest, that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. And as you have believed, so will it be unto you.
You've got a fall on ice, and that was no longer than yesterday, on this ice. And it's crippled up your left arm and hand, so that you can't comb your hair. That's right. All right, now you can do it. Go, the Lord Jesus has made you well. Your faith has healed you. God bless you. If thou canst believe all things are...

46 What do you think, little lady? The other woman touched you just then. You're praying, and you have a horrible thing which is just about to cause some domestic trouble. It's called... And your disease is epilepsy. That's right. The little lady with the bobbed hair, kind of blonde or reddish looking, do you believe me to be the prophet or the servant of the Lord? You're not from this city. You've come from a city more east of here. It's in Ohio. It's called Youngstown, Ohio. That woman sitting next to you, who is very interested in you, is your mother. And she has something on her face, a skin condition that she wants healed. And she's not from Youngstown, but she's from Michigan, Detroit. You've been visiting her, and you made up in your minds to come here for the healing of the Lord. Believe, and as you have believed, so be it unto you. Oh, do you believe?

47 I am a stranger to you, sir. I have never seen you, but God knows you. If He will reveal to me what's in your heart, or something that's been done, will you accept then, that you know that He's heard your prayer or knows your cause? You will? You are here for a purpose of a growth. And that growth is on your back. And you also want prayer for your wife who is here. She's got something wrong with her face, which is caused something like a dentistry or something. She has eye trouble also, and she has trouble in her back. And you're fighting a habit. You want to give up cigarettes too, don't you? You're trying to. Do you believe that you're in the presence of the omnipotent God? Then you can have what you ask for. Go, and be it unto you as you have believed, in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
Don't move. You're a spirit, each one; and you move, you interfere. Have faith.

48 Come, lady. You want to get over that anemia condition and be made well? Then go from here and believe with all your heart, and Jesus Christ will give you the blood that you have need of. Amen.
Come, sir. Do you believe God can heal you of that heart trouble? Then go, and believe with all that's in you, and you shall receive what you have asked for.
Come, lady. Do you want to get over that stomach trouble that's caused from a nervous condition, causing peptic condition? Go, and eat, and believe, and as you have believed, so be it unto you, in Christ's name. Just a minute, lady. Go right ahead now.
It's the lady sitting right here on the end of the seat, the colored lady. She suffers with a stomach trouble too. That's right, lady. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD. If you'll believe it, you can have what you ask for. The old lady sitting next to you with arthritis, do you believe you'd get well too, lady? Then may you receive that what you've asked for, in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Do you believe God healed you, sir, when He stood by that chair? Then go and receive your healing in the name of the Lord Jesus.

49 Do you believe all over the building? How many wants to receive Christ, and receive the Holy Ghost? Would you stand to your feet? Say, "I am a candidate. I now believe." Just stand right up, just at this time. "I want the blessed Holy Spirit to give me the experience of being born again. I believe that I'm now sitting in the presence of the Lord Jesus."
How many sinners would raise to your feet and say, "I am a sinner. And I now believe on the Lord Jesus. This is my first time of ever seeing His power move. I'm convinced, after He has manifested Himself, that He's here, and He's risen from the dead. I want to accept Him as my Saviour."? Stand to your feet.
You church member, shame on you. You may be in a form of creeds has served Christ, but never know what it is to be born again. Will you say, "I now am willing to surrender my creeds for an experience of being born again, to let that Spirit that's moving in this building tonight, be my Saviour, Jesus Christ." Would you stand to your feet?

50 You who are sick and afflicted, and you want to believe the Lord Jesus will heal you, and you now accept Him as your healer, this is the time that you see Him working. And maybe you've seen Him before, and it's become a vain to you, like the salt water. But now, a new experience has happened, and you want Him to heal you, would you stand to your feet and say, "I am now accept Jesus Christ as my healer."? All, everywhere, up in the balconies, stand to your feet and believe on Him just now. Let all the Christians that's believing, stand to their feet also, laying your hands upon those who are standing near you for something.
What can happen just now? The great living God who has manifested Himself as being omnipresent on the platform, in the audience, around the circle, everywhere He is present. Will you now turn your faith to Him and say, "Blessed Lord, I now receive You for the need that I have in my body. If You will, raise your hands to ... [Gap in the audio.]

51 O eternal and blessed God, the One that was in the beginning, that talked to Job, and said, "Where was you when I laid the foundations of the world, when the morning stars sang together, and the sons of God shouted for joy?" fill every heart in here, just now, with a sufficient faith. May they not sit, and as the great poet said, "Be not like dumb driven cattle," have to be herded into their own food, and have a neck yoke put on them to hold them long enough, till they could eat the food. But may they rise in the faith and in the power of the resurrection and be healed and saved just now, as I cast away the doubting spirit that holds this building tonight. In the name of Jesus Christ, may it go, for the glory of God. And let the people raise their hands now, and rejoice in the Lord, be saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, and healed for God's glory.

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Have faith in God

1 ... shall return to us some day. And way back before there was any light on the earth, our bodies laid in this dust. We are made from the dust, out of the potash, and calcium, and petroleum, and cosmic light. God sent forth the great Holy Spirit to brood over the earth, and as He brood, the little flowers begin to come, and the birds flew out, and animals came from the earth.
And then came a man, and he sinned and separated himself from the fellowship of his God. And because of this horrible thing, he was commanded by God to return back to the dust of the earth.
But, O Lord God, we are so glad that before he returns, You have promised a Redeemer. And today, since He has come and sent forth the Holy Spirit again, and now He's still brooding over the dust, our bodies, and if He raised me, and brought me to what I am now, without having a choice, how much more will He raise us from the dust of the earth, after we've made a choice, and He has brood to us, and we brood back to Him. We love Him.

2 We have the blessed assurance, that someday these vile bodies will be changed and made like unto His own glorious body, whereby He's able to subdue all things unto Himself.
We would ask tonight that He would come and brood again over this people, sending forth His Spirit in every heart, condemning sin and sickness, and bringing people to a realization that they are here for a purpose. And that purpose is just not to build houses, and to plant vineyards, ride in automobiles, and dress in good clothes, and go to churches, but it is to worship Him.
And may we tonight, with all that's within us, worship Him in the Spirit and in the truth. Grant it, Lord.
And when we leave tonight, to go to our different homes, may we say along the road, like those who came from Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us, as He talked to us along the road?" For we ask it in His name and for His glory. Amen. You be seated.

Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

3 It's been, indeed, a great privilege to be here in this wonderful little city, and to minister in the name of the Lord, and to have fellowship with the different ones that we have met, and this dear pastor, Brother Ball, I believe is his name, shook hands with on the platform. I want to say that I believe he has did everything that lays within his human power to make the meeting a success for you people. And you should appreciate a minister like that, and with all these other ministers who has their names on here, their churches, who have perhaps dismissed, and cooperating in these meetings. Yet, not knowing me, and just by faith, and believing, you've did it. And I pray that God will richly and abundantly bless you for every effort that you have put forth.

4 And now, we are sad that we have to leave, just these two nights; we're going on down to a place called Everett, I believe, in your lovely state of Massachusetts, and from there, from on up then into Maine. Then after while, in a few weeks I will be going overseas to Africa, India. In there, seemingly, my ministry has a greater impact.
The American people doesn't receive it too well, because America is a intellectual people, people who has based their thoughts upon the psychic side of psychology, and intellectual, and what their eyes can see, fine buildings, and great swell, educated preachers, who have scholarships, and so forth; and upon the Supernatural, they're very skeptic. And that's to fulfill the Scripture.

5 In Africa in one afternoon, I seen thirty thousand blanket heathens, with idols in their arms, accept Jesus Christ as personal Saviour---thirty thousand, tagged, heathen.
Bombay, India, with the Mohammedans, and Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, and so forth, it was just... You couldn't number them. It was estimated that almost a half a million were there, because a blind man received his sight at the platform. And in Africa a man led with a chain, like a collar around his neck, like a dog, not even mentally right, was perfectly normal standing in the room before the people ... or, the race track.

6 The American people sees even greater than that. I'm not talking about you born-again Christians.
They go around and say, "Well, it's some kind of a hypnotism. It's, perhaps, maybe, a telepathy or something." No wonder the guns are trained on us for judgment. We cannot escape judgment. I've said this, and I say it not to be sacrilegious or to be different, "But if God lets this nation get by with the sin that it's doing, He'd have to raise up Sodom and Gomorrah, and apologize for burning them up." That's right. God has to remain the same. He loves a sinner, but He hates sin. And He's just, and He's sovereign, and He must judge sin.

7 So, as our nation continually wades in sin, Billy Grahams, Oral Roberts, Jack Schullers, others who go through the nation with great striking revivals, they continually... Sin's on the march.
You can't tell them, because the devil has taken the nation over. It come to us a few years ago; he lived in Paris, the devil and his angels. And they had the first world war, and Germany would've sunk this nation beneath the earth, but we went over to help them. And as soon as it was over, it was back again: wine, women, and big time.
Then Satan sent his patterns over here, stripped our women, brought disgrace to our nation, through the patterns and fashions. Then he just took his army and landed in Hollywood.
Many of you people wouldn't let your children go to picture shows and see such stuff. The devil's a smart man; he brings it right in on television, so you'll be sure to get it. And today, people stay home from prayer meetings, and great religious gatherings, because they want to see, "We Love Suzy," or something like that, or Elvis Presley in a rock-and-roll. That's the naked truth.

8 God's anger is kindled against the nation. And you're going to receive punishment and judgment. Write it in the fly leaf of your Bible and say that, "Brother Branham said so." If it doesn't come to pass, I'm a false prophet, for I have "thus saith the Lord."
So you escaped that wrath. There's only one way; they're... I noticed on your streets, and around in here, you got "To bomb shelters." Won't do you one speck of good. What would happen if a bomb that can blow a hole in the ground a hundred and seventy-five feet deep, for three miles square...? What if you were five hundred foot down in the ground? It would be such a concussion, there wouldn't be a bone left in you.
But I'm directing you tonight to a real bomb shelter. You don't dig in the earth; it's made out of feathers---under His wings. That's the real bomb shelter. Flee tonight from the wrath that is to come. And remember, these meetings are directed not to any certain organization; that day of fussing is over. God's calling His church, His people. And the word church means "called out."
God bless you ministers and you people. And I trust that our little two night stay will prove such a result, that there'll be an old-fashioned revival break through this country here, that'll seine the waters until the last edible fish is taken out for the kingdom of God. That's my prayer.

9 Billy met me there, just a minute ago, and he said, "Daddy, they took a love offering for you." Wasn't necessary. I don't take money, and never took an offering in my life, myself, but I must have money to exist. I've kept my ministry real humble, so there would not be any great expense attached to it. My expenses only runs about one hundred dollars a day, at home, small office. Now, you say that may be a whole lot of money. What does Brother Roberts run a day, Oral Roberts? Somewhere between seven and ten thousand. Billy Graham's will double it. But my ministry requires... Sometimes I go hold a meeting where there's only a church that would hold twenty people, if the Holy Spirit calls. Then I can go to a place where we can have millions, if necessary. Then somebody sponsors that and pays for it.
So I just live quietly, and humbly, and serve the Lord. And I thank you for the offering; whatever it is, it'll go to the kingdom of God, the best of my knowledge. Your money that you placed in, I'm the steward over it now, as a witness of Christ, and I pray that He will bless you for it. I will do the best that I can to see that it goes towards the kingdom of God.
We hope to be back with you again, someday, if that seems pleasing to God, and the will of this church, and people.

10 Now, pray for us as we go to the field. I always try to ask the people... Now, over there it's not like it is here. Just as soon as you mention something, witch doctors and everything is on a challenge. I have never seen a time, but what God always taken the victory, come out and thousands of souls were saved, witch doctors converted, and so forth, when that happens. You be praying for me.
Now, before we open this Word, let's have just another word of prayer.

11 Lord God, men who are able to move their hands could open the lids of the Bible, but the Holy Spirit will have to interpret this Word. So we ask that His great presence will come, and will anoint the lips that speak and the ears that hear. Grant it, Lord. For we ask it in Jesus' name, that we might fellowship around the Word. Amen.

12 In the book of St. Mark, the eleventh chapter, I wish to read the twentieth verse:
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
And Peter calling to remembrance said unto Him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou didst curse is withered away.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God.
And that's my text for just a few moments, and we're late, but I don't want you to think of that; get that from your mind just for this time. Maybe our last time, many of us, will ever meet together on earth. So let's pay close attention to His Word, and as I try, by His help, to take this little text for just a few moments: Have Faith In God.
You might say, "Brother Branham, that's a very little text." But it isn't the size of it; it's what it means. That's enough Scripture to save the entire world, and to heal every sick person in the world, bring Jesus back to earth again.

13 And I was quoting sometime ago, in one of the services, of a little boy, that I knew of in a certain city, who was clamoring around in an attic. And he found in this old attic ... or, garret, an old trunk, and digging down into the trunk, he found in there a little yellow postage stamp. It was yellow from age. And he taken it over to his stamp collecting friend, and he said, "How much will you give me for this stamp?" Well, he was expecting five or ten cents, with perhaps an ice cream cone in his mind.
He said... Looked it over, the collector, and he knew it was a valuable stamp, so he said, "I will give you a dollar bill for it."
Well, that was a good quick sale for the little lad. He collected the dollar; the stamp collector taken the stamp. And down the street he went for his ice cream.

14 And the stamp collector begins to work on the stamp. A few weeks later, he sold it for five hundred dollars. And then a little after that, it was sold for about three thousand dollars. And now, they say it's worth a quarter of a million dollars.
You see, it wasn't the little yellow paper, because you wouldn't even have picked it up if it was on the street. But what made it so valuable, was what was wrote on that little yellow paper.
And that's the way with this tonight; it's just a piece of paper, not very valuable paper, but it's what's wrote on it that's so much value, because it is the Word of God. And all heavens and earth will pass away, but that Word shall pass never away.
A man is just as good as his word. You're just as good as your word. I'm just as good as my word. If I can't take your word, I want no dealings with you. I want you to be the same to me, and we must be the same to God. If He can't keep His Word, then I want to know who is God, that can keep His Word. So He said, "Have faith in God." So little...

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

15 Faith, why, it's the most common thing there is. You can't even get a drink of water without faith. You couldn't come to this meeting without faith. You could not move your finger without faith. It's said in the Scripture that when they put the blood on the lintel of the door, for the Passover in Egypt, it was put on with hyssop. Do you know what hyssop is? Hyssop is common weed. You can just find it anywhere. And that's the way the blood is to be applied to the heart's door, tonight, is by something common, faith.
We try to press it out, and make it something that no one can take a hold of. It's so simple that you go over the top of it, trying to find it. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen," said the writer of Hebrews the eleventh chapter, first verse.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

16 Now, it is the substance of things hoped for. Now, it's not just imagination; it's something you have. For instance, if I was starving to death, and you come to me, and you said, "What will save your life?"
I'd say to you, "One loaf of bread."
And you'd say, "Mr. Branham, here's twenty-five cents." That twenty-five cents is the purchasing power of a loaf of bread.
Well, when I got that twenty-five cents, I could rejoice. You gave me the purchase power of a loaf of bread. Now, I haven't got the bread; the twenty-five cents is not the bread, but it is the purchasing power of the bread. And when I've got the purchasing power, it's just as good as having the bread.
Now, that's the way it is by faith. People look at you and say, "I haven't got faith enough for my crippled hand." If you had faith, you wouldn't even look at your crippled hand. See, faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

17 Now, I can be just as happy with the twenty-five cents as I could with the loaf of bread, because I've got the thing that buys the loaf of bread, and as soon as I get to the market, I've got a loaf of bread.
And faith is the thing that brings my healing, and no matter how long it takes me to get to that place, I've got the faith that's going to do it, as soon as I get there. You get it?
Now, I can be just as happy with the quarter, as I can with the bread. And when down in your heart, you believe that God has healed you, just as real as you believe you got strength to walk out that door, or just as well as the sense of sight says that shirt's white, it's finished. There's nothing can take it away from you, because it's gone beyond intellectual; it's gone to your heart. It's real faith.

18 Now, going to get this loaf of bread, I might have to go over briar patches, and down over bridges, and cross streams, and up the hill, but all the time I'm going, I will be shouting with all my heart, holding up my twenty-five cents, because I'm on my road for the bread.
And if Christ reveals to me, tonight, that I am healed, I can rejoice just as much as I could jump up-and-down on the floor. No matter whether I'm still crippled, or whether I'm still sick, my head still hurts, or what about it, I'm just as happy, because I'm on my road with the purchase power. That's faith. Jesus said, "Have faith in God." Notice how vital.
But now, you say, "My faith is little, and I'm sure God will not notice my faith; it's too small."
He said, "If you have the faith the size of a mustard seed," which is the smallest of all the seeds...

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

19 But being a rancher, myself, and studying agriculture, mustard seed is one seed that won't mix with no other seed. It's all mustard, and it's going to remain mustard.
And you might not have faith enough to have a miracle performed on you, and if you just got mustard seed faith, stay with it. It'll lead you to the light, and it won't mix with nothing else. No matter what anyone says, you still believe it. No matter what your symptoms say, you still believe it, because it's real faith, and won't mix with doubt anywhere---mustard seed faith. And God recognizes that little faith that you got.

20 Here not long ago in Canada, the late King George came down the street. And a friend of mine, Mr. Baxter, as he stood on the street and watched the parade... And the schools all turned out, and they give the little children, little flags of Britain to wave at the king as he passed by. And when the king passed by, the little children singing, "God saved the king," and waving their little flags. After the procession was over, the little fellows returned back to their school.
And in one certain school in British Columbia, Vancouver, there was a little girl who did not return. And the teacher was excited, and she ran out into the streets and begin to look for the little girl. Where could she be? And after while, they found her leaning up against a telegraph pole and was weeping her little heart out. And the teacher picked her up in the arms, and she said, "Bless you, honey, why are you weeping?" And the little girl, sobbing so, she couldn't even tell the teacher. Her little heart was broke. And the teacher said, "Did not you see the king?"
She said, "Yes, I saw the king."
"Did you wave your flag?"
"Yes, I waved the flag."
"And did you sing, 'God Save the King'?"
She said, "I joined with the rest of them, singing, 'God Save The King.'"
"And the king passed this way?"
"Yes."
"And you saw him?"
"Yes."
"Well, why are you crying?"
She said, "Teacher, the reason I'm weeping, I saw the king, but I was too little. He didn't see me."

21 That's not so with Jesus. No matter how little you are, or how little your faith is, just wave it; He will see it just as well as He sees the others' faith. Oh, that makes Him so lovable, so real. No matter how small, whatever you offer Him, He's ready to receive it.
And then another thing, faith works much by experience. Or, may I change that, and say it this way, "Experience accompanies faith." Usually if you've had an experience, it will be a great help to your faith.

22 One time when Israel had been called out to battle against the Philistines, and the armies had gathered with a valley between them. And the Philistine, like the modern world, when they think they've got something on you, they love to "blow" about it, (as we call it in the south). Like the street expression, kind of "pop off steam" about it: "The days of miracles is passed." "There's no such a thing as divine healing." "We're the greatest church there is in this city; all of our rituals claim those things are gone." But the Bible claims that they are real. So get rid of your ritual.

23 And so, they had a great challenger by the name of Goliath, which was... Oh, he was like a prehistoric giant. His great fingers were fourteen inches long, the Bible says. And his spear was like a weaver's needle, perhaps long as from here to the wall. Now, what would an ordinary man do with such a man as that in battle, and maybe, many times bigger than a great big man, maybe eight or ten times bigger?
And now, when they seen they had such a man, he made a proposition with them. He walked out. And you know, sin is so treacherous, and unbelief is sin. And unbelief is so treacherous; it plays a lot of innocent tricks on you.

1 Samuel 17:7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

24 So he walked out and he said, "We shouldn't have any blood shed." ("Just so you join church, that's all that's necessary.") " We shouldn't have any blood shed. Let us make a proposition. You choose you a man out of your army, and let him come fight with me. And if I kill him, then you all serve us. And if he kills me, we will serve you."
Sure, when they got the odds like that. And every man in Israel's heart fainted, because they thought, maybe, he'd be called to go on the challenge. But from the king on down, every one of them was scared.

25 So the big giant would come out daily and blow himself, "Why don't you come on over, and let's just settle it?" No one moved. And if there was any man in the group that was able to do it, was Saul, the king. The first thing, he was... The Scripture said he was head and shoulders above his army. Any man in the army, he measured head and shoulders above him. And he was a warrior; he was well trained. He trained men to fight with the spear. Oh, if there's any man that was trained and seemingly, humanly speaking, able, it was Saul.

26 Just like today, if there's any person that should be trained for divine healing, and preaching the power of God, should be these seminaries and schools, but usually the biggest cowards we got.
Oh, they should know the Word. They should know God's power. But many of them turn out, knowing no more about God than a Hottentot does about an Egyptian knight. I'm not trying to act smart; I'm just stating a fact. I think that the schools and colleges are all right, but you can't stop at that. And many times, that's the reason our pulpits are so weak today, and don't believe God, and don't teach faith for the whole atonement, is because they've been hatched out in such a place as that.

27 A seminary preacher always reminded me of an incubator chicken. You know, a little incubator chicken, he was born all right, but he just "chirp, chirp, chirp," and ain't got no mammy to go to. That just reminds me. They'll holler, and carry on, and don't know no more about God, because all they know is the school. I'd like to have a man, if he didn't know the difference between split beans and coffee, and knowed God with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and filled with His glory and power, than all the education you could churn into a man, and not know God.
That's the reason our pulpits are weak, because we say, "The days of miracle is passed." Look where our mammy is; it's a mechanical incubator, that's hatched out like by the dozens.

28 Notice, and Saul was scared with all of his training and the best equipped man to do it, but he was afraid to do it. Why? He never had much experience. He knowed by taking more than knowing how to maneuver a spear. And yet, they was the armies of the Living God.
And today our pulpits and our seminaries represent the armies of the Living God.

29 But one day, as God always has it, there come a little ruddy, knotty looking guy that had had some experience. His pappy give him some cakes, and told him to go out to the army, to see his brethren. He was too ruddy and young to be in the army.
The Bible said he was ruddy, which means a little bitty drawed-up sort of a fellow. And his name was David. And here he appeared over on the hill, and Goliath made his boast at the wrong time. There was a man of God in camp.
So, he might not have had his collar on backwards, or something. He might not have had a Ph.D. or DD., but he knowed some experience about God. And he had his little sheepskin coat on; he didn't have no armor and sword. But he just walked up there, and Goliath come out and made his big blow, "The days of miracles is past; there's no such a thing."

30 David said, "Do you mean to tell me, that you men who are trained, would stand there, and let that big bully, uncircumcised Philistine, defy the armies of the Living God?" Why, the courage of that little, knotty looking fellow. And that got around to the king. He said, "I will go fight him."
Oh, they thought, "That boy's silly. He has no schooling; he has no education; he don't know what a sword means. He don't know what an armor means. He hasn't got a Ph.D., or DD., either one. So what in the world could he do?"
So it come to the king---the bishop. So he said, "I admire your courage, but I don't believe you can do it."
He said, "Look, king..."
King said, "Well, if you want to go, I will give you an education. I will put a sword in your hand, put my armor on you."

1 Samuel 17:32 And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

31 So David stood wondering. And they give him a bachelor of arts degree, and they give him a DD., and they took Saul's armor and placed it on him. The poor little fellow was weighted plumb to the ground.
He said, "Take this stuff off of me." That's good for preachers. "Take this stuff off of me. I don't know nothing about how you could say, 'Ahhmen', and talk about some sort of theology. I don't know nothing about it. I've never been trained to it. But there's one thing I do know, that back yonder on the backside of the hill, I was herding my daddy's sheep, and a bear run in and got one, and I took this little old slingshot, and knocked him down with it. And a lion come in and got one. And I knocked him down; he rose up, and I took a sword and killed him. And the God that delivered me out of their paws, how much more will He deliver me out of that uncircumcised Philistine?" Saul found out that his ecclesiastical vest didn't fit a man of God. He said, "I know nothing about that. But let me go with something I've had some experience with." Blessed be the name of the Lord.
What the ministry needs tonight, is not so many BA's or DD's, but it's an experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that puts life into the man, and gives him faith in a Living God, that changes not---an experience.

32 Moses was taught in all the wisdom of the Egyptians. And he had had forty years of teaching under his mother, and he could even teach the masters of Egypt. But it taken God just forty years to get that all beat out of him on the backside of the desert.
And one day while he was herding Jethro's sheep, running from Egypt, running from the task, and thought he'd just go back to work, and let it all go, because he'd tried in himself without having any experience. Teaching's all right, but the letter killeth. The Spirit giveth life. And in the presence of that burning bush, he knowed more about God in five minutes, than he'd been taught in forty years.
What was it? It was an experience. He just didn't have a letter to read, or the laws to read, or the books to read, he had an experience, that God still lived. The God of Abraham was just as alive in that day, in that foreign land, as He was when He talked to Abraham or Adam.

Acts 7:22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

Acts 7:30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

33 That's what it takes. And every man that ever goes to the pulpit ought to have the place in his heart: a backside of the desert. God gives all of His children that experience, where you meet God and talk to God, and He talks back to you, and you know there's something real.
All the doctors of divinity in all the world, they might explain this away, and talk that away, but they'll never be able to take you away from that backside of the desert experience, where you meet God face to face.

34 Then, when Moses had met God, he afterwards took the children of Israel through the fires of hell, for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible, not by His teaching, but by the experience he had.
Abraham, after he was called out of the valley of Shinar, the land of the Chaldeans and the city of Ur, after God talked to him, spoke to him when he was seventy-five years old, and told him---Sarah being sixty-five---"You're going to have a baby by Sarah."... After God spoke to him, he had an experience, and he could call those things which were not, as though they were, no matter what anyone said.

Genesis 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

Genesis 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

35 Could you imagine that old couple, Abraham running downtown with Sarah to do a little shopping---almost a hundred years old---"Buy up all the Birdseye, and the pins you can get a hold of, honey; we're going to take a trip now. You're going to have a baby. We'd better go see the doctor."
"Doc, wife and I are going to have a baby."
Say, "How old are you?" "Why, the old man's off at his head. (See.) There's something wrong with him. We, maybe, had better send him to the psychopathic ward. Some psychiatrist talk to him."
God has talked to him! And he could call those things which were not, as though they were, and got stronger all the time. He had an experience; he knowed there was a God who talked. And he was fully persuaded that He was able to keep anything that He promised. Amen. The word amen means "so be it."

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

36 And notice him, after the first twenty-eight days, he goes to Sarah; he'd lived with her since she was a little girl of about sixteen, and here she is an old... She could've been a great-great-grandma. And he said after the first twenty-eight days (Now, remember, she was many years past menopause.), " Sarah, how do you feel?"
"Not a bit of difference, darling."
"Well, bless God, we're going to have it anyhow." A year passed, "How do you feel, Sarah?"
"No different."
"Praise God, it's going to be a greater miracle. We will have it anyhow." Twenty-five years passed, "How you feeling, darling?"
"No different."
"Praise God, we're going to have it anyhow, because I talked to God, who talked back to me, and He's able to do anything that He promised to do." And He's the same Lord God tonight, if you ever met Him.
Experience companies faith. It calls anything contrary to the Word as though it was not. The Word comes first.

37 As I stood there, behind the curtain tonight, listening to Dr. Vayle; it was after that Philip had brought Nathanael ... or went to find Nathanael after Philip heard Jesus tell Peter what his name was, and what his father's name was, it was after that that he recognized Him. He had an experience; he'd heard Him tell that. Said, "Come, this is the Messiah."
Nathanael couldn't believe it. So he walked up into the Presence of the Lord Jesus; and Jesus said, "Behold an Israelite in whom there's no guile."
Said, "Rabbi, when did You know me?"
He said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you." It was after that that Jesus said, "Because I told you this, do you now believe? You'll see greater things than this."

John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

John 1:43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

John 1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 1:50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

38 It was after the woman at the well, who came out there as a prostitute, we'd call her today, a woman of ill-fame. She came out to the well to get water, and she seen this Jew sitting over against the well. She'd never saw Him before; He was a stranger in the city, because that was a Samaritan city. And here was a Jew, and He asked her for a drink. And she said, "It's not customary for you Jews to ask us Samaritans such."
And the conversation went on, Jesus trying to contact her spirit to see what her trouble was. And He said, "Go get your husband, and come here."
She said, "I have no husband."
Said, "That's right. You've had five husbands, and the one you're now living with is not yours."
She said, "Sir, I perceive that You're a prophet. Now, we know that when the Messiah cometh, He will do these things. But who are You?"
He said, "I'm He that speaks with you."
It was after that she had seen His power, through God, to know the secrets of her heart, that she could run into the city and say, "Come, see a man, who told me the things that I've done. Isn't this the Messiah?" It was after she had seen it. After the miracle had been performed on them.

John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

John 4:27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

John 4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

39 It was after Jesus had cursed the tree, and in twenty-four hours, saw it withering, that He told the disciples, "Have faith in God." After they had seen the power of God, they was asked to have faith in God.
Jesus said, in Acts 1:8, "You shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost has come upon you." Not before, when you get your Ph.D., but after the Holy Ghost is come upon you, then you'll have power of faith to believe.
It was after they had waited ten days in the upper room, with this promise, the doors and windows locked because they were scared. It was after the Holy Ghost came down on them with tongues of fire, and the Spirit, like a rushing, mighty wind. After that happened, they wasn't scared then; they went into the streets and declared to all people, that He was the resurrected Christ. After that they evangelized the world, and sealed their testimony with their blood, after they had received power, after they had the Holy Ghost.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

40 Oh, how thankful I am to know that great faith in God is still accompanied by an experience. And tonight, you may not have had that experience. But if God will come tonight in the power of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, who said in St. John 5:19, "I do nothing till the Father shows Me first."
If He will come and will do the same thing in this audience to prove... He said, "A little while and the world won't see Me no more. Yet ye shall see Me, for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world. I will be the Vine; you be the branches." The vine doesn't bear fruit; the branch bears fruit. And the branch will bear fruit of what kind of a vine it's sticking in.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

41 And if you've grown up out of a seminary vine, and just got an education in theology, that's the kind of a fruit you'll bear. If you've come up in that kind of a church, that's probably the way you believe. But if you've been planted, rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus, you'll bear the fruits of Christ. You have to. If you've got that experience, the fruit's not strange to you. Let us look to Him now, as we pray.

42 Oh, what a wonderful, listening audience. How it would be nice if I could stay longer. I've been already a half hour. I wonder tonight, that if you haven't got that experience of knowing that Jesus remains alive tonight, that He's just the same, says the Scriptures, yesterday, today and forever, and you would like to have that experience, though you be a church member...
Now, let every head be bowed, and every eye closed, and those who are on praying grounds, pray. Let it be secretly between God and I and you. Would you just slip up your hand to God, and say, "God, give me a real experience, that I can really believe."
God bless you, got your hands up, around. Say, "Lord, I've never seen anything like You're talking about." God bless you, your hands up everywhere.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

43 "I've never seen nothing like that, but my enthusiasm, is just like the queen of the south." See, she didn't know either. She heard that God gave a great gift to the church, and she was a heathen, a pagan. She had forsake her church, her pastors, her bishops, her popes. She had to forsake everything, her pagan idols. But her heart was burning; she heard that there was a gift of discernment up in Israel. "She traveled over a hot, burning desert for three months," as I've often said, "not in a air-conditioned Cadillac, but on the back of a camel."
A heathen, never heard of anything, any more than her heathen temple, but she come in the presence of Solomon. She come with enough gold to support it, if she'd seen it was right. She sat down and watched the meeting. After she seen the great wisdom that God had give Solomon---the spirit of discernment---coming from a true Living God, that knowed that man did not have this discernment; it had to come from God. She raised up, and she said, "All that I heard is true and more." She gave her gold and her offerings to support this great gift that God had given.

1 Kings 10:6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

1 Kings 10:7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

1 Kings 10:10 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

2 Chronicles 9:5 And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:

2 Chronicles 9:6 Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.

2 Chronicles 9:9 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.

44 And Jesus said she will raise up in the day of the judgment and condemn this generation, for she came to see a gift of Solomon, and He said, "Behold, a greater than Solomon is here." What will she do when she comes to the judgment with New England, in the day of the judgment, when people won't come across the street? They won't walk and leave their television alone, long enough to come see. She will rise up in the judgment and condemn millions times millions of American church members.

Matthew 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Luke 11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

45 O God, be merciful. Men and women are holding their hands up in the air. Young children and teen-age, they haven't seen yet, yet they believe. You're a good God. The disciples believed. Thomas said, "Let me put my fingers in His hands."
He said, "Here you are, Thomas. You've seen, and so you believe, and that's good. But these believe without seeing." So has it been tonight, Lord, dozens of hands that never has seen, and yet believe, just because I brought it from Your Word.
I pray that You'll manifest Yourself now in Your great power of the resurrection, that when that great bomb does fly this way, that sputnik with thousands of Germans ... or, Russian soldiers with their atomic bombs hanging here, "Surrender or go to dust." What could we do? O God, the church will be gone then.

John 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

46 Grant tonight, peace and mercy to them. May they find Christ real in their hearts, for when they raised their hands, they broke every scientific law that could be broken. Gravitation proves that our hands must hang down. But when they raised their hands, it showed there was a Spirit standing by them. And they had a Spirit, and this Spirit said, "You are a sinner; you're wrong. You're a church member, but you're not right." And that Spirit in them made a decision that they wanted to be right, and they defied the laws of gravitation, and lifted up their hands to their Creator.
You said, "No man can come, except My Father draws him first." Then the Father is here drawing you. And all that comes to Me, I will give Him everlasting life, and will raise him up at the last day." We believe it, Lord.
Now, manifest Yourself tonight in our midst. Show that You're still living. For we ask it in Christ's name, while You heal the sick, and we will praise Thee. Amen.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

47 I'm sorry to have kept you... A little bit, it's not late though. Now, I want you to be real reverent, just for a few moments. The hour is now at hand, to what all that I've have said, and all that Dr. Vayle has said, and all the Scriptures has promised, it's got to be found truth or false. It's got to be right or wrong.
I was listening, when it said this: that Jesus remaining the same, the way He declared Himself to both Jew and Samaritan, and not the Gentile... The Gentiles had two thousand years to call out the church. And now, it's the end of the Gentile age. I wonder how many people in here have been taught that and believe it? Let's see your hands. You've got some good teachers around here. This is the end of the Gentile age.
With the same ministry, where those Jews standing holding those little Bibles, that Brother Pethrus from Stockholm, sent them a million of more down there. And they were reading that how Jesus did, they said, them that's come up from Iran and down in there, that the "Look" magazine and them, "Life" showed. These Jews packing their loved ones on their back. We've got it all on television ... or, Kodachrome color.

48 And we interviewed them, Brother Arganbright, and many of the Christian Businessmen, and they said, "Are you coming home to the old homelands to die?"
Said, "No, we've come to see the Messiah."
When the fig tree puts forth its buds... The six point star of David hanging over there, the oldest flag in the world, flying again for the first time for two thousand years ... no, twenty-five hundred years. Think of it.
They said, "Where is the Messiah?"
And then when they read these Bibles, they said, "If this Jesus was the Messiah, and He claims here that He's raised from the dead, let us see Him do the sign of the prophet. We will believe Him."
Oh, what a real thing. My heart jumped. I said, "I want a ticket, I'm going. I will call thousands of them out."
Say, "Did you mean that?" They believe their prophets. And when I got to Cairo, Egypt, thirty minutes of Palestine, I had my ticket in my hand. They were ready to make the first call. Something struck, said, "Not now. The wrath of God has not yet come to the Gentiles. Their iniquity is not yet fulfilled."
I thought, surely, that's my imaginary mind. I started on out again; I thought, "I will walk out towards the ramp." And I started walking out, and then there stood that light that you see on the picture.

Luke 21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

Luke 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

49 That's the same pillar of fire that led the children of Israel. That's the same thing that this... If that light that you see there, which they got here in America, they got it in Germany, they got it in Switzerland, where they've taken the pictures of it.
That light will bear record of what it is. And if that light isn't of God, it won't bear record of God. But if it does the same works that Jesus did when He was here on earth, that said, "He come from that light," that was in the... Moses in the wilderness. "Before Abraham was, I am." When He was here on earth, look what He done in flesh. He said, "But I come from God, and I go back to God." And when He returned after His resurrection, Paul met Him on the road to Damascus, and here He was a pillar of fire again. Such a light so close to Paul, it put his eyes out, and he had to be led.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

50 He would come into the prison with Peter as a light. He's returned back that. Here He is again at the end of the Gentile age to do just exactly the way He did back there. Any vine bears fruit through the branch of what it is. If it don't do the same thing Jesus did, then it's not Jesus. Certainly.
If God told you the spirit of John Dillinger was in me, I'd have guns, and I'd be dangerous. If God told you the spirit of an artist was in me, you'd expect me to paint the picture of the artist. If I say, "The Spirit of Christ in me," then it produces the works of Christ. He promised it.

Acts 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

51 And then, when I walked out to the ramp, He said, "It's not yet; it's for a season yet." And I turned and went up to Mars Hill, from that back to the Vatican, then back home. "Not just the time."
When those Jews receive the gospel, you Gentiles are finished. God deals with Jews as a nation, us as a people, the Jews always as a nation, the nation of Israel.

52 We're at the end time. This is a call to the Gentiles. God be merciful. He's here. You ought to be with Him, or He can do nothing for you.
What if Martha would have went out there, and said to Jesus, "Why didn't You come when I called You for my brother?" The miracle would've never been done, but she approached Him, reverently, said, "Lord, if Thou would've been here, my brother would not have died. But," she said, "even now, whatever You ask God, God will do it." Oh, how lovely.
Said, "Thy brother shall rise again."
She said, "Yes, Lord, he was a good boy. He will raise in the general resurrection."
He said, "But I am the resurrection and life. He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
She said, "Yea, Lord, I..."
Said, "Believeth thou this?"
She said, "Yea, Lord. I believe that You were the Son of God, that was to come into the world." There's a real believer, in the presence of the real Holy Spirit, that was in Him. What's going to take place?

John 11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

John 11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

John 11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 11:27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

53 I'm not speaking against anyone's religion, but a certain woman from a cult, that does not believe in the divine blood of Christ, they believe He was a prophet. Not only the Christian Science, but a lot of you Protestants, are getting the same thing poked down you. He was God.
She said, "Mr. Branham, I like to hear you speak, but you brag too much on Jesus of being divine."
I said, "He was divine. He was more than a prophet or a teacher. He was God, or the greatest deceiver the world ever had."
She said, "If I will prove to you by your Scriptures, He wasn't nothing but a man, will you accept it?"
I said, "If the Scripture says so."
She said, "In St. John 11, when He went down to the grave of Lazarus, the Bible said, 'He wept.'"
I said, "Oh lady, is that your scripture?"
She said, "Yes."
I said, "Your scripture is thinner than the broth made out of a shadow of a chicken that starved to death." I said, "You know better than that." I said, "When He went down to the grave, He wept like a man, but when He pulled His little body up, which the Bible said, 'There was no beauty we should desire Him.' But when He pulled that little frame together, and said, 'Lazarus, come forth.' and a man had been dead four days, come to life, that was more than a man."

Isaiah 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

John 11:35 Jesus wept.

John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

54 When He come off the mountain in our text tonight, hungry, He was a man. But when He taken five biscuits and two pieces of fish, and fed five thousand, that was more than a man. That was God speaking out of a man. He was more than a man when He told the woman at the well that she had five husbands. He was more than a man when He told Philip, He saw him under the fig tree, fifteen miles away, when he was praying.
He was a man when virtue had gone from Him, the woman touching His garment, and so forth. And he laid on the back of a little ship resting, so tired, and ten thousand devils of the sea swore they'd drown Him. And that little old boat out there, like a bottle stopper, bouncing around, the devil said, "We've got Him now." He was a man when He was laying down there on the boat asleep, but when He was aroused, and He walked up, and put His foot on the brail on the boat, looked up and said, "Peace, be still," and the winds and the waves obeyed Him. He was more than a man.

Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

55 He was a man when He cried, at Calvary, for mercy in His death. But on Easter morning, when He broke the Roman seals, and rolled away the stone, and stood on the earth again, He proved He was more than a man. Every man that's ever amounted to a hill of beans in this earth, believed that. Poets and so forth, one said ... blind Fanny Crosby said:
Pass me not, oh gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the Stream of all my comfort,
More than life to me;
Whom have I on earth, beside Thee?
Or whom in heaven but Thee."

56 When Eddie Perronet, wrote the inauguration song, when his poet ... poetry was all turned down and refused, in that dark room He grabbed a pen, and the Holy Ghost come on him, and he wrote the inauguration song, when he wrote:
All Hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all."
One said:
"Living, He loved me,
Dying He saved me,
Buried He carried my sins far away.
Rising, He justified, freely forever,
Someday He's coming,
Oh, glorious day."
He was more than a man; He was God. He's still God tonight.

57 Father, we love to read Your Word, and we know that You are God, and You can't die. You died once for our sins, and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures, and You live forevermore, with every promise to make good.
Grant tonight, Lord, may not ever be here again, but let this city know that You still live. Grant it, Lord.
Now, I submit myself to Thee, and commit every one here to You, and ask that You'll work through our flesh and through our spirit. Let everyone here might go home, glorifying Thee. In Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

58 See, I believe last night we called from the first part of the cards. This picture here of the Angel of the Lord, I don't know whether you ever seen it or not, the writing that's with it from the FBI, said, "I once thought your meetings were psychology, when you talked about the light. I wondered how this was done." This is George J. Lacy, said, "Mr. Branham, the mechanical eye of the camera won't take psychology. The light struck the lens."
It's at the counter back there, at the book stand. The boys will have it after the service. We have to buy it; it's on a copyright. We have to buy our books; they're on copyright. We have nothing to sell. If I didn't think that would help someone, it would never be here. It's not my picture you're buying, it's His picture.
Mr. Lacy said, "There was a time when they doubted those lights, and said, 'It was a psychic thought of the artist that painted those halos and things, around our Lord, and around the apostles,' but said, 'this mechanical picture proves that it's the truth.'" That's right.
He said, "The old hypocrite..." He meant the unbeliever. That's the way he stated. I'm quoting his words. just as he said it. He said, "They can't do it anymore." Then the scientific world knows that He still lives. The church knows He still lives, because He remains the same.

59 I'm thinking, that last night we called from the first part of those prayer cards, didn't we? We called fifteen or twenty of them, and tonight... What is it? F? Let's call the last part of them. The boys come down and mix them all up together, and give to you. See if you can see that... Well, we don't know who you are. When we mix them up, you might get one, the next one get "fifty," the next one "twenty-two," and the next get "three." And then, ever whose giving them out, they don't know where it's going to be called from, just come right here, and call them here.
Used to be, I'd have a little child to come up and count, and where he stopped, there's where we would start from. Believe it or not, mama's brought little sonny up to stop right where her number was, you see. So, we're still dealing with human beings. So, we just...
And then look, up here on the... Up on the platform, that don't mean one thing. You can be healed there just the same as you can here.

60 How many knows that the Scripture says this, when the woman touched His garment, she run off out into the audience, Jesus said, "Who touched Me? Who has touched Me?"
And Peter said, "But a whole group's touching You." He rebuked the Lord.
But the Lord turned and said, "Somebody touched Me, because I've gotten weak." And He looked around, till He found the little woman, and He told her where her trouble was, and she'd been healed. How many knows that's scripture?
Now, if He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, will He act the same today? Does the Bible say in Hebrews 13:8, that "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever"? Well, then does the Bible say also in Hebrews that "He's the high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities"? What is He? Sitting at the right hand of God tonight, making intercession on our confession, a High Priest.
Then if He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, the same High Priest, He'd have to act in the same way or He isn't the same. Now, you just touch Him by the feeling of your infirmities, and see if He don't declare Himself to be just exactly the same. Now, be real reverent. Pray now. I don't say that He will.
Let's see... Let's start tonight from where? We can't call them all up here. Let's start from eighty-five to a hundred. That would give fifteen on the platform at one time. All right, who has prayer card F-85, raise up your hand. F-85? Look at your cards now; somebody maybe can't get up.

Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Luke 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Luke 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

61 [Blank spot on the tape.] ... the handkerchief in this basket here tonight, and you want one. How many believes in it? Let's see your hands. The Bible teaches it. You can just write to me. Now, I'm not trying to get your address; I have nothing to sponsor, not a thing. I have a hard time getting enough money to pay secretaries to help me answer it. If you just write to me, Jeffersonville, Indiana, I will send it to you, free of charge. Let's pray.

62 Lord, these handkerchiefs come here tonight from mothers and dad, and from children, and the little ones, that's sick and needy, maybe an old blind father sitting in a room somewhere, a poor mother laying on the bed of affliction, a little baby walking the floor. Thou knowest all about it. And we're taught in the Bible, that they taken off the body of Saint Paul, handkerchiefs and aprons. They believed Paul, when they seen the works of God being done by him.
We know we're not Saint Paul, but we know that You're still Jesus, and we pray, Father, that You'll heal each one of these, as we send them to the sick and the afflicted. In the sincerity of our hearts, we thank You for the people that's confidence enough to believe yet today. And may they be healed, in Christ's name. Amen.

Acts 19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

63 Ninety-two? Ninety-two and ninety-four is missing, are they in the building? Eighty-nine, ninety-two? All right. Ninety-two's here. Number eighty-nine is missing. If it's in the building, if someone... I wish you'd look at your card, maybe you... Ninety? Ninety-three? Ninety and ninety-three. All right. If there's number ninety is in the audience, or ninety-three, would you come up? Anywhere between... What was it I called from now? Eighty-five to a hundred, anywhere... Anyone with prayer cards from eighty-five to a hundred...
Look at your neighbor. They may be someone deaf and dumb, and they're just sitting there, they don't know. You'll have... Maybe somebody can't even move. We'll pack them up. Just look around to the cards that someone who's got a card. Everybody's there now? Good. That's fine.

64 How many doesn't have a prayer card, and yet you want Jesus to heal you? Let's see your hands. Just have faith, believe with all your heart. Now, thank you.
Now, I want you to do something. Now, you without a prayer card, you'll not be on the platform, as far as I know. Now, I want you to be in prayer, just quietly, and say, "Lord Jesus, this brother, tonight, has talked to us, and we've quoted Scripture, that You remain the same. And You declared Yourself before the Jews and Samaritans, and in Your day, and said You did nothing till the Father showed You."
The early church or the Orthodox church, the old Jewish church in that day, said, "You was Beelzebub, the devil, because You could perceive their thoughts."
But the people who these miracles were performed, said that they believed You to be the Son of God, and it was a sign of the Messiah. Now, we believe that Messiah is coming soon, and we believe that You're manifesting Yourself to us, today, that we might be ready to escape. So You're the same yesterday, today, and forever, we're told. Say, "Lord God, please, tonight, let me touch Your garment like the woman did. And then You turn by Brother Branham's lips, and speak to me, and tell me just like You did the woman; then, Lord, I will give You all the praise and glory. I will believe You."

65 Now, just see if He remains the same. What a challenge. Friends, I'm sure you don't get that. Do you realize what that means? And look here, there's not a person in this building that I know, not a person, but Mr. Sweet, Mr. Vayle, Mr. Goad, sitting right here, and my boy was here awhile ago, he's gone. All right. That's the only persons I know in this building, but God knows you all.
Now, is this the lady? Here is a picture of St. John 4, man and woman. I suppose this is our first time ever meeting? It is. Can you hear the lady, or see if she nods her head? Would you just raise your hand, so they'd see.
I do not know her; I've never seen her in my life. She's woman; I'm man. Here we are standing here for the first time of meeting. Now, if there's something wrong with her, I do not know; she might be a critic. She might be here just bluffing. If she is, watch what happens.

66 How many's ever been in meetings and seen what happened like that? My, my. Some of them drop over, paralyzed, go insane, everything else. Still, it stays the same God, the book of Acts 19, just the same. The Lord will decide that. Let Him say it.
She may be a sinner; she may be a hypocrite; she might be a Christian; I don't know. But here... Something's got to happen. Let her be the judge.
If I said, "Lady, you're sick; I'm going to lay my hands on you; you're going to get well." She could doubt that; she's just got my word. But what if the Holy Spirit comes and tells her something that she knows that I don't know? Then she'd be the judge of that. Then if He knows what was, He will know what will be.

67 Now, this is for you people in the balconies: You're not too far away, never out of the reach of Christ. You just believe where you're sitting. How many up there's sick, and wants Christ to heal you? Raise your hands, anywhere around? Just believe; just have faith.
Now, here we are just like St. John the 4th chapter, man and a woman meeting, begin to speak, and Jesus found what was the woman's trouble. He told her where her trouble was, and what her trouble was. And she said, "You must be a prophet. Now, we know the Messiah will do that."
He said, "I'm Him."
And she run into the city and said, "Come see a man, who's told me the things that I've done. Isn't this the Messiah?"

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

68 I said this last night, I say it again tonight, "That woman knowed more about God than eighty percent of our American preachers." That's right. Though a prostitute, she recognized that. She knowed more about God than them priests, and rabbis, and things did.
They said, "He's Beelzebub, a devil."
She said, "He's Messiah."---the way He done it. Now, who was right?

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

69 All right, lady, being that I've been speaking tonight, a little, just to carry a conversation with you, till I get knowing that the Holy Spirit is anointing. Now, if He will let me know what you're here for---and you know I don't know---then you'll accept it then? All right, sir.
How many out there'll say, "I will do the same"? Is there anyone out there, knows this woman? Yes, there's quite a few. Well, you know you're in your city then, you know all about it. Now, so we're just... You be the judge.
Now, sister, just to speak to you as a man. The only thing I... This is to be for... God don't have to do this, but He promised He'd do it. He didn't have to heal when He was here on earth, but He promised He'd do it. The prophet said, "He took out infirmities and bore our sickness." He had to fulfill that.
And if the Bible said, "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever"---and that's the way He declared Himself to the ending of that generation---He's got to do the same today to fulfill the Scripture.

Matthew 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

70 So, here we are at the end of the Gentile age. The woman is a Christian, and she's a believer. That's right. She's not so much standing here for herself, although she has a gland trouble that makes her overweight. But there's something else on her heart, that she's desiring. And she's been praying much about this that she's desiring, and that is about her husband. That's right. That's the truth? Now, do you believe. Now, you be the judge.
Now, I don't know now what I said, see. It's on the tape there, if you ever want it. They have it on the tape. See, what happens, it's a vision. You're somewhere else, maybe, years back, or maybe ahead, or whatever it is. You're somewhere in another world. You just yield yourself; it's a gift, yield yourself to the Holy Spirit. What does that prove? That the same Holy Spirit that was in the early church, and in Christ, is here in this church, moving through His body, as He promised. That ought to make belief ... faith just rise to a place, where everything would happen. But why is it? We're so dead in spirit.

71 Now, if you think it was just guessing, let's take our time on the woman, and talk to her a little. All right, lady, whatever He said was the truth. Now, I don't know what it was, there the... And you realize that standing before a man, me, wouldn't make you feel the way you're feeling now. You're a very nice person. And you're in perfect contact with Something, a real sweet humble feeling. That's the Holy Spirit.
See that light? That light is what's making you feel that way. I'm looking right at it. It's right around us.

72 Now, if Christ was here, wearing these clothes that He gave me, if you need healing, He couldn't heal you. He's already did it, when He died at Calvary. He'd do something to prove that He was the Christ, then you believe in His vicarious suffering, His death, burial, and resurrection, know that He still lives, if He still lives after all those years, and remains the same in every way. Now, healing and salvation was purchased; it's already been done. You just have to believe it. Only thing He could do, would be manifest Himself, that He's here to declare that what He did there, is standing good tonight.

73 Yes, the woman begins to come into the vision again. Yes, it's a gland trouble. She's overweight; anyone can see that, and it's a gland condition. Yes, I see a man appearing again; it's her husband, and he's got something wrong. It's in his legs. It's phlebitis, both of his legs. And here, that man is walking out of the will of God. He had a call to the ministry, and he's putting something else before that; he's doing other work and not fulfilling that call. And the reason he's doing that, is because you are a woman preacher yourself. And he thinks that one preacher in the family might be enough, but he's wrong. You're not from this city; no, you're not. You're from a city... You're from New York, a city called Schenectady. And your name is Mrs. Reed. That's "thus saith the Lord." Now, go back and find it the way you believed it. Have you believed it? It shall be just as you have asked. God bless you.

74 Do you believe the Lord with all your heart? Now, you in the audience, have faith. Now, don't doubt. Don't move around, sit real still. Please, see.
Spirits, when they leave people, like evil spirits, they go from one to another. You know that. When you get an audience jumping and running, you can't hold it. There's no need of trying to take the time to explain it. You just believe it; that's all. You just believe it.

75 The lady here is a stranger to me, far as I know. I don't know her. Looks like a healthy woman, but I don't know. God does know. If He will reveal to me what's your trouble, will you believe me?
You think you'd get over them ulcers? You was praying for that, wasn't you, sir? I don't know you, do I? Never seen you in my life. That's right, raise up your hand. You're a nervous person, real nervous, which has caused you to have ulcers. Go on, preach the Word now. You're a preacher anyhow, so you go preach the Word.
Got your arms around your friend there. What do you think about this, sir? Do you believe me to be His prophet ... or, His servant? You do? If He will reveal to me what you want, will you accept it? 'Course you're wearing glasses; a man your age should wear glasses; but that's not it. Your eyes are going bad. You want prayer for your eyes. That's what you want. You got arthritis too. You want prayer for that. That's right, isn't it? Do you accept your healing now? Raise up you hand, if you do. It's over; you can go home, be well. Your faith has healed you.

76 What did they touch? I ask you now, reverently, what did they touch? Before God, I had never seen either man, know nothing of them. But someone was praying. It was the big man there, was doing the praying. And because he was sitting with his body around the other man as a contact, that's what done it for the next man. Now, ask them. God be the Judge.
Now, does Jesus Christ remain the High Priest, that can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities? Is He alive tonight?

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

77 Now, there's faith in the audience, sister, I just... Wherever that light goes, I just go with it. See, it's all I can do. Now, maybe He'd come to you. If the Lord will reveal to me what you want from Him, you believe? You know, if it's healing, I couldn't heal you. But I see something, you got a thing on your arm. Oh, it's a... You got low blood pressure. That's what it is, low blood pressure. Not only that, but I see a hospital. It's for someone else you're standing there for, and that's a friend of yours, that's in the hospital from an accident, that's bones in their body broke. You're a teacher yourself, a Sunday school teacher. Now, go receive it; just as you've believed it, it'll be that way. God bless you. God be with you. Be reverent now, please. Please, please.

78 I do not know you. God does know you. Do you believe me to be His servant? If He will tell me what you're here for, you'll believe it then?
Now, please, just sit still just a moment. My son will come, get me in a few minutes, so be real reverent. Don't move around. Be real reverent. God is in His holy temple, and let's be reverent.
You suffer from a nervous condition. And you got trouble in your spine. That is true. How would I know that? It had to come from something that's present here who knows you. Do you believe it's the Lord Jesus letting me do this?
Now, just a moment if the audience can still hear me. There's a man coming up there. A vision's moving now; it's her son. And he's bothered with a nervous trouble. And you want prayer for him. That's right. He isn't here. He lives in New York. And I tell you, that you believe me to be His servant; that boy's a Catholic by faith. That's right. Do you believe now that God will make it well and get to him, do you accept it? All right. Go over there, take that handkerchief, send it to him. It'll be over. God bless you.

79 Have faith in God; don't doubt. There's a evil power keeps sweeping from that audience, somewhere.
God can heal epilepsy. Do you believe it? Do you believe He will make you well? Raise up your hand there, sir, if you believe it with all your heart, right here. Now, have faith in God, and it'll all be over.
That's the devil that usually gets away from us. He does evil ... a disobedient audience. I've seen twenty-eight taken at one time, after it was cast out of a baby, and still got it too. Remember, when he come out of Legion, they went into hogs. They got to go somewhere.

80 The Holy Spirit still hangs there. It's a man sitting next to him there. Something happened to the man. Do you believe He can cure heart trouble too? You had heart trouble, and was praying for the heart trouble to be healed. That's right.
The lady sitting there. There He goes; there's that light right straight for the lady. The woman's got cataracts on her eyes. That's right, isn't it, lady? Believe Him; they'll leave you. Oh, He is real. If thou canst believe.
You believe. I do not know you. But I see you; you're here for someone else. And you were sitting in this audience last night, and the Holy Spirit called you, and you were healed with a throat trouble, last night, "Thus saith the Lord." And you're standing here for someone else, your brother. And he's not here. He's got cancer. And he's in a place called Toronto, Canada, Ontario, up in Canada. That's right. That little handkerchief, or parcel, that you wiped that tear from, send it to him, and don't doubt. He will get well. Amen. Have faith in God.
Oh, does His presence make you recognize? Jehovah still lives; Jesus, the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

81 I do not know you, lady. You're a stranger to me. There's something on her heart. She is praying for someone else, which is an elderly woman. That's her mother, and her mother has paralyses; she's a crippled woman. You are a minister's wife, and you've got others on your heart that you're praying for. Don't doubt. Have faith. You'll receive what you asked for. Do you believe it? God help you then. Go, and receive it, my sister. All right.
The Lord God knows both of us, lady. I do not know you. But God does know us. If He will tell me what you're here for, you believe? Will the audience believe?
I see a boy, someone's praying about; he's drinking. The lady right there, that elderly lady. You're praying for a son of yours, that's drinking, gets drunk. Stand up to your feet just a minute, lady. Do you believe that God will sober that boy, and send him home to you, and make a Christian out of him? Lord God of heaven, I pray for that dear mother and for that boy, may he come to himself like the prodigal son and return, in Jesus' name. Amen. Don't doubt. If thou canst believe.

82 Had your head down, praying, high blood pressure is nothing for God to heal. You believe He'd do it, sir? Believe that God... You had your head down praying then; if that's right, wave up your hand like this. All right. I don't know you, do I, sir? God's healed you now. Just go believing with all your heart. God will grant it to you.
The little, pale looking, lady (That's the one you was talking to, sir.), asking for mercy, do you believe God could heal that gall bladder trouble, make you well? You believe it? Stand up to your feet. You know you feel different. It's gone from you now, can go on your road and rejoice.

83 You are here for a real good purpose. You're asking God something that's going to be out of the ordinary, but I seen the Lord do it. Even at your age, you'd still like to have a baby. You've been a mother, but not by of your own, mother of others' children, step-children, but you want one of your own. That's what Hannah come to the temple for. That's what was on your mind. That's what you've prayed about before you left your home.
I see your husband; he's an Italian, isn't he? He's in trouble. He needs healing on his leg, on his knees, in his arm. That is right. All right. Go, believe it now, and you can have what you ask for.

84 Do you believe with all your heart? Would you like to eat again and feel good? That stomach trouble is so bad; a nervous condition that caused it.
There's so much of it out there, I can't even see which is which. You are believing now. A faith is striking the audience. Let me show you what I mean. Watch here.
How many of you out there that's suffering with a nervous condition, raise your hands. I just want to show you. Pretty near eighty percent of the audience. Every one of you that suffers with a nervous condition, stand to your feet, right now, just a minute. You stand right here. I will show you the glory of God, anywhere. Every person bothered with a nervous condition, stand to your feet. Come. Just remain standing.

85 If God will reveal to me, young woman, what's your trouble, will you believe with all your heart? If you do, you'll never have to have that operation. God can dissolve that tumor, just as well as it could be... Do you believe it? Accept it.
Anyone suffering with tumor or growth, stand to your feet just now. Come believing.

86 Hers is nervousness too. If God can do it here, God can do it there. How many is sick or needing healing out there, that'll raise to your feet just a minute. Stand up just a moment.
It is so light-like over the audience. Do you believe me to be His servant? Then take my word. The Holy Spirit has just got the building completely covered. It just looks like a milky haze everywhere. This is the hour of your healing. There will not be a feeble one among us in a few minutes, if you'll only believe Him. Do you believe it?
Now, stand right here for your healing. No matter what your troubles, get ready, right now. Christ has healed every one of you. Are you ready to accept it? Then if He's already done it, there's one thing left: Raise our hands and praise Him for it. Let us raise our hands.

87 Lord God, Creator of heavens and earth, Author of everlasting life, and giver of every good gift, we now pronounce curses upon the devil---he's defeated---and we ask healing for this audience, just now. In Jesus Christ's name, let it be done.
With your heads bowed yet, are you aware that Jesus Christ, God's Son is here? If you are, and you've been doubting your experience, you have not the Holy Spirit, or you're a sinner, will you come up here right now, right in the presence of Him, right here now, right around the altar? Move right out and come here, just a minute. Move right out of your seat. Come right down the aisle, and come here just a minute. Stand right around the altar here a minute, for prayer. That's right, soldier, come right on. Now, the rest of you. Come right along. Move right out now, right out of your seats, right down the aisle here, every one. Give us the little chord on the...
