Jehovah-Jireh, part 2

1 Thank you, Brother Roy. Let's remain standing just a moment while we pray. We bow our heads, if you will. And let's just think now if there's anything in your heart that you would desire God to answer you by, tonight, some request, just let it be known as you lift your hand, and say, "I have a request before God." Now let us bow our heads as we pray.

2 Our heavenly Father, we deem this such a great privilege, to come to You; knowing this, that if we come in the name of the Lord Jesus, we've been promised that we would receive what we ask for. Now we do not come to the throne of judgment. We certainly wouldn't want to come there, or to the throne of justice. But we're coming to the throne of mercy, where we are sure to have our requests granted. For, we could not stand Your judgment, neither could we live by Your justice, but Your mercy is what we beg. Forgive us then, Lord, of our sins. We pray that You'll grant that, and that You will be with us tonight, answering every request that those hands represented as they were lifted up. You know what was beneath the hand, in the heart. And, God, no doubt it was for sickness, and salvation, and loved ones. We pray tonight, Father, especially for those, that You'll grant their requests.

3 Now we have been speaking upon thy loyal servant, Abraham, continuing on with him tonight, in his journey. We pray that You will bless us as we go down along the road of many hundreds of years ago, with a faithful servant who believed Your Word. May it be an example, as Paul said in the Hebrews, of what Abraham was, an example. And we pray that the faith that he had, will be revealed to us tonight; to believe the Word of God, and not doubt one word of it, but believe it all, and believe everything that He said. And may we be able to hold onto them promises that He has made us, and be the children of Abraham by being in Christ. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. (Be seated.)

4 Brother Borders is a little taller than I, so I have to get the microphones a little further down. And it's a privilege to be here tonight in this meeting again, and to pray for the sick, do whatever the Holy Spirit bids us to do. I want to say this, complimentary. Of all my travels through the U.S., the United States and Canada, I seen something last night that thrilled me more than all the wheel chairs that I've seen emptied up, and all the crutches laid down, the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the dumb to speak, the dead raised up, the doctor signed a statement that the person was dead, and raised up. That's all been thrilling. But when I seen people last night, who are members of the church, receive truth and stand right up in the midst of the people, to confess they're wrong and willing to do right, that was the best that I know of.

5 The church, perhaps the bride is done chosen. It's, get her ready now. The getting...
The revival is over. We know that. There's no more revival spirit. Two hours of service, everybody is complaining. In a revival, it's day and night, all the time, never breaks. The revival is done. And so we are just gleaning.
Abraham had to sweat it out until he found character. And then when he found character, the next thing was prepare her then to meet the bridegroom. That's the next thing. You remember when he found her? In the evening time, the evening light.
Striking at the women and men, both, last night; and seeing them, in respect to the Word, stand up and admit they're wrong, want God's forgiveness, and to go on. This is the place to have a revival. If there'd be any revival I know of, it'd happen right along here, where honest hearts. Why? You've got something to work on, see. Something... Most of them will get arrogant, they don't want you to tell them about it; just remember, that type of seed is a denominational seed, not a seed of Abraham. A seed of Abraham sees the Word, and it believes the Word, quickly.

6 When that little prostitute, at the well that night, the woman at the well... There was priests and rabbis standing around, looking at Jesus performing, giving His Messiahic sign to them, a Scriptural sign, and they said, "He's Beelzebub, a devil, a fortune-teller."
But as soon as that light flashed to that little woman, when He told her what she had done, she said, "Sir, I perceive that You're a prophet. And we know that the Messiah is coming, and, when He comes, He'll tell us those things." See, quickly that predestinated seed caught it, because it was a seed of Abraham, truly. And she saw the light. It was the Word. She knowed the Word promised that, when Messiah come, He would do those things, and she recognized it.
Jesus said, "I am He that speaks to you."
She run into the city and tried to convince others. She said, "Come, see a man who has told me the things I've done. Isn't this the very Messiah?" See?

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

7 Now just a word to our sisters. I've always been considered a woman-hater, but I'm not, see. When I was a little kid, I had a sour experience; but I've always had a great respect for a woman that was a woman, a lady. But I haven't no respects for them that professes to be and is not. I like to see a lady, a real genuine lady, she's a gem.
In this day when women is perverted, most perverted in these last days. The Scripture says so. Why? It's the going out of the age. You remember what was the first perversion? Was a woman. That's right. And in the last day! We never had this; we've had six thousand years that ladies tried to remain ladies. Now they try to act like men, put on clothes like men, cut their hair off like men, and so forth. They never did do that in any other age. The Bible predicts this, that they would do this in the last days. And here you are, perversion of women. No wonder the Bible said, "Those that escaped out of Zion shall be glorious in the sight of the Lord, in that day." How that those who escape!

Isaiah 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

8 You say, "It doesn't make any difference." It does make a difference. Someone said to me not long ago, said, "Brother Branham, that little thing don't make a difference."
I said, "It did to Paul. And Paul said, 'If an angel from heaven come and taught anything else, let him be accursed.' Whether they be minister, or angel, or bishop, pope, or whatever he is, let him be cursed if anything is contrary to this." See, that's exactly. Galatians 1:8, if you want to read it.
And he said, "Well, I don't think..." Said, "I seen women with short hair, was just as meek and sweet."
I said, "That's exactly right, I've seen that also. But that isn't it. See, you've got to come to what the Bible said!"
What if God said to Moses, "Take off your shoes," and he said, "Lord, I'll just take off my hat instead"? You've got to do what God says do! And the trouble of it is, that I think of, what makes me so worried about it, that ministers will put up with such a thing! What is it? It shows it's a modern Adam that went with his wife, see. God wants another Adam that stands with the Word, and Him ... the Word alone. The Word is right, regardless! Don't go that way.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 Never, in six thousand years, has it ever been that women ever desired to cut their hair, dress like men, be perverted. We're at the end time. And America, anyone who knows prophecy, knows that America is represented by a woman. This is called "woman's freedom." Freedom for what? To do as she pleases---sin.
A woman cannot do what she wants to do. The Bible says not. A woman is a by-product of a man. She's not even in the original creation. That's exactly right. She was took from a man. Man was both feminish and masculine, He took the feminish spirit and put it in a rib that come from his side. Listen! Did you notice when Rebekah went to meet Isaac, when she jumped off the camel, she veiled her face? Why? She was coming to her head.
They don't know it. They have to do it, anyhow. Did you notice a woman when she gets married, she puts a veil over her face? Why? She's coming to her head. And the church, the church, being the bride, should veil herself to any creed, she's coming to her head, the Word. Christ is the Word, and He is the head.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Genesis 24:64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.

Genesis 24:65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a veil, and covered herself.

10 Now, friends, I don't want to get started on that. I was looking over there today, with five hundred texts, a little better than five hundred texts, of deep teachings on the Bible. But I just want to stay with Abraham for this meeting, somehow.
You know, I believe the Lord might, if the brethren don't mind, and if everybody, I'd like to come back here and hold a revival where you could stay a while, see, where we could really get down and just ... [Congregation applauds.] Thank you. Thank you. I know there's fish here, I know it. And I love to fish. And you got material to work with, somebody who is honest. Anybody can be wrong. You don't know; I die daily, from my wrongs, to try to live before Christ. And anybody that's big enough, and got enough Spirit of God to walk up and admit they're wrong, say, "I want the right thing," I got a lot of confidence right there, for that's truly Abraham's seed. They want to know it. They don't know it unless they hear it. But it's got to be heard first, said, "How we ... without a preacher? And how can a preacher preach unless God send him?" That's exactly the truth.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

11 Now, notice now.
We're going back to Abraham now. We better get back on him, so, and carry it on. Can you hear me all right, up in the balcony up there? Nice to see, tonight, such a nice crowd. You're such lovely people here. I sure...
Was talking to a friend today, that come from Canada. The Lord had led me down to a certain place where I had to watch for something to happen. And then standing... This friend, I met him, and he was talking about how the American people were friendly. And I said, "Yes, and in here is some of the predestinated seed of God, in and around these places, and in this most wicked place." I don't mean your city here. My city, that I come from, is as wicked as yours. But the whole world is wicked, but the riffraff has all floated to the West. We know that. Civilization has traveled with it. And where civilization is, there's where sin sets in. That's right. Look at it up and down here. This is a preacher's graveyard. That's right. Look at Los Angeles, everything and every cult lands right in there, and everybody has got a creed, a doctrine. To get the Word in there, you can't do it. It's so contaminated! That's right. Demons, devils, right at the seat of Satan! But yet in the midst of all of it, there's some seed in there, also. And only thing you can do is scatter the light. And if there's seed there, it'll come to life as soon as the light strikes it. You just have to sow light, that's all. And He is the evening light, we know that, His Word

12 Now, last night we left Abraham. I started on the 22nd chapter, but I never got through it because I went to basing back on what Abraham was at the beginning. And we left him last night where God was confirming the covenant with him. Oh, I like that. Tearing the host, making a covenant with Abraham. How we got when He called Abraham, and was going to confirm the covenant to him, He told him to take three, three-year-old animals, and separate them. And we got the threes. We don't have time go to into it. My, you can stay on that one subject right there, till in the morning, wouldn't have it explained. But you just kind of hit the high places, and expect the Holy Spirit at this time to reveal the rest of it.

Genesis 15:9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

Genesis 15:10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

13 Now, how that the perfection, the perfect sacrifice, perfect, God perfected in human life what He was going to do. We know we have... We had God the Father, which was the Almighty Jehovah. Then that was in a pillar of light, took Israel through the wilderness. And that same Jehovah become flesh and dwelt among us, in the form of his only begotten Son, created a tabernacle for His own self to dwell in, God manifested in flesh. The fullness of the Godhead bodily dwelt in Him the perfect manifestation. Then, (through the covenant) the human part of Him was taken away, severed, that He might (this covenant) separate the body that died, the blood that was shed for the remission of sins, and raised it up and set it on His right hand, and sent the Spirit back on the day of Pentecost. And that same life that was lived in Christ Jesus has to be lived in the covenant people, same life doing the same thing. Jesus said in John 14:12, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he also." Now, that's either right or wrong. It's got to be right! To me, every word of it is right. Every word is perfectly right. Notice how glorious God works.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

14 And then how that those of Father... Like Matthew said, "Go ye therefore, teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost," see. Now, Father... It don't mean we got three gods. We got one God in three offices; Fatherhood, Sonship, Holy Spirit, same God yesterday, today, and forever. That's exactly.
Now notice how glorious that was manifested to Abraham, and how that God, in this light, went between these pieces, severing them. Just as the... We took last night, how they made a contract, wrote it out and then tore it, that they must dovetail. The contract must dovetail.

Genesis 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

15 Now you see, friends, that's what I'm trying to say, even among our Pentecostal people, there is becoming this devil of intellectual, trying to make people... Now, I believe in all the gifts of God. I believe in shouting. I believe in speaking with tongues. I believe in all the things that God said. But yet you cannot rely upon any of those things being ... why, you got the Holy Ghost. See, your life has to go with it, see. "By your fruits you are known," see. And those are the things that worries me today, because I see my own church, the Pentecostal church, becoming that "form of godliness," getting away from truth. And bring the truth of the Word to them, they back off from it. Then ask them, "Come, sit with me," they won't do it. See, it shows there's something wrong. That's what worries me. And, it's not as I'm against my church.

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

16 If I love Christ, it'd be a lot more better for me to brag on His church than it would be brag on Him. Because I would rather you'd brag on my children than to brag on me. And, remember, I've often thought, if I had two drops of the literal blood of Jesus in a charger, how I would hold that, that I didn't spill it. I'd walk real careful. But tonight I've got greater than that, in His sight, I've got the purchase of His blood. See, He shed His blood for you. And here I am as a minister tonight, holding, or pointing you your eternal destination. So I'm not going to refer to any creed or any dogma; it's got to be the Word, 'cause that's the thing that's going to last. My faith is built on the Word, and Christ is the Word. And if Christ be made the Word, then the Word is made manifest right among us. It's got to be!

17 Now, therefore, I believe that God of the Old Testament, all that He was, He poured into Jesus His Son. And all that Jesus of the New Testament was, He poured into the church that He purchased with His own blood, see. "A little while and the world [cosmos there, the world order], will see Me no more. Yet ye shall see Me [ye, the church], for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world." Then the life, that contract, that Spirit that was took out of Christ at Calvary, is brought back and poured down upon the people, the seed of Abraham, that God made the promise to. Remember, it wasn't to all his seeds, but the seed.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

18 Now, there's a doctrine of predestination which is rotten, nonsense. But there really is a true predestination. God, by foreknowledge, could predestinate because He has foreknowledge. God is not willing that any should perish, but, being the infinite God, knew that who would perish and who would not.
That's the reason He said before Isaac or ... before Jacob or Esau was born, He hated Esau and loved Jacob. His foreknowledge let Him know that Esau what a shyster, and He let Him know that Jacob respected that birthright; regardless of how he got it, he wanted it. Now, both boys, twins, born from the same holy mother and father, but one was a renegade and the other was a believer. Now God, by His foreknowledge, knew that.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

19 Now, God, by foreknowledge, He doesn't set His business like... You wouldn't do your business that way, on a loose-leaf like that. God knew, by foreknowledge, who would be saved, so He sent Jesus to catch those who He foresaw would be saved. Read Ephesians, the 1st Chapter, and you'll see it, see. Now, there.
Then He sends down His gospel and sows it, sends down His Spirit to make it alive. Now, they'll both grow in the same field, Hebrews 6 tells us that, "That the rain comes oft," Jesus said, "upon the earth [and you notice in there], to prepare, to dress the earth; but thorns and thistles, which is nigh unto rejection, whose end is to be burned." Find it? Now remember.

Hebrews 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

Hebrews 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

20 We'll take a wheat field. You people raise wheat here. And here is a drought come on. Here is creepers or weeds that you have here, some known weed growing up in the field; the creepers in the field, the milkweeds in the field, the thistles in the field. And the wheat is in the field. They're both thirsty. And the rain comes not for the weed, but for the wheat, but that little weed will stand right up and rejoice just as much as the wheat will.
But by their fruits you are known. The same Spirit falls upon a hypocrite and he'll shout and carry on like the rest of them, but his life is what proves what he is, see. And we're relying too much on sensation. And today the field is full of all kinds of sensations, every kind of an unscriptural sensation and everything else. Certainly. But we got to come back to the Word, the truth of the Word. The Word, what it says!

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Now, God telling Abraham that through him, the third covenant, and the only covenant. Jesus only was a confirmation of the covenant that He made with Abraham, the royal seed, Spirit seed.
And to you precious Catholic friends of mine, when you say, "Hail, Mary, mother of God," aren't you ashamed? How could Mary be a mother of God? She could not be. You say, well...
I was talking to someone the other day, they differed. They said, that Jesus was the seed of Mary. If He was the seed of Mary; before the seed could come down through the tube, there had to be a sensation to bring it. Then you're making Jehovah... You see what you're making Him do?
God, the creator, created both the egg and the blood cell, and brought forth the tabernacle. And man had nothing to do with it! It was God alone! That's right.
She was a good woman, certainly. There's many good ones sitting here tonight. And when God gets through using anything, it's off the scene. And she's not a mediator. She's no mother of God. She's a good, sainted woman in glory, because she served the purpose of God. And every woman in here has the same opportunity, maybe not in the same way, but to serve God, see. God will use you.

22 He just used her for in incubator, but the child belonged to God. Right. He was the creator of both egg and the hemoglobin. And the hemoglobin, of course, come from the male sex; and He was the creator of that. And Mary brought this baby without any sensation, no more than the Holy Ghost overshadowing her and creating in her womb this blood cell and egg that brought forth the man, Christ Jesus.
And that was the covenant that God was writing with, that when God was made human among us, then He was tore apart. See, the three of them, three-year-old, then tore apart. And God took one part of it home with Him, and sent the other part down here. Now when the body meets again, it'll have to be the same life that governed that body will have to be the same life govern this body. And He was the Word. And He is the Word! See? And the works that the Word did then does the same thing today. He is the Word, the eternal Word. And God's Word is eternal. All right.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

23 Now what was He doing? Making a way, showing ... know that Israel, the natural seed, would reject Him; but knowing that the royal seed, not from the sexual affair with Sarah, but from the faith that Abraham had, that brought forth Christ, that's the royal seed of all nations, the mixed, the bride coming out of all nations. Abraham, a father of nations, not because he had lived with his wife, Sarah, and brought forth the son, but because he believed the Word. Amen. That's it.

24 Now we find, after this, this great experience. Now we're coming over to the 17th chapter. We're going to try to get to the 22nd, if possible. The 17th chapter. Do you love the journey with Abraham? I just love to watch it. Because why? Everything that he did was a perfect type of the church. You believe that? Notice, all the Scriptures type it.
Look at Joel, said, "It shall come to pass in the last days, that God would pour out His Spirit." How that there would come a cankerworm and eat up His church! "What the palmerworm left, the cankerworm; and the cankerworm, the caterpillar." And it's the same bug, same insect in four different stages. Each one eat a part. Here come the old caterpillar or the cankerworm and eat the bark off, and the other eat the fruit off, and then come along the others that sucked the life out of it. That's when...

Joel 1:4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.

Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

25 Christ, that tree that was in the garden of Eden! There were two trees in the garden of Eden! These two trees were set there for a birth purpose. And when Eve... She was the tree of death if she was touched. And Christ was the tree of life. Now by the woman comes death; by the man come life.
Now when He stood here talking to the Jews, He said, "I..."
They said, "Our fathers ate manna in the wilderness for forty years."
He said, "And they're, every one, dead! But I am the bread of life, tree of life, that come from God out of heaven, that a man eats this bread and shall never die."

John 6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

John 6:48 I am that bread of life.

John 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

John 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

26 God put seraphims there, guarding that tree, that no one would touch it. Now He's got seraphims out, trying to drive them into the tree. Then they seen the vision, they wanted to the tree ... to get back without an atonement. But now after the atonement is made, the devil is blinding them, turn them this way from the tree. Notice.
When Christ came on earth, He was God's perfect tree. David saw Him in the first psalm, said, "...tree planted by the river, rivers of water." Many rivers, one water; many gifts, same Spirit. "His leaves shall not wither."
But when He come on earth, what happened? The Roman power cut that tree down and hung Him on a man-made tree. Then God raised that tree up and set it at the right hand, and sent the Spirit back to make a bride for Him, like Adam should have had in the garden of Eden. And when that tree started off, it was a Pentecostal tree.

Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

27 We hear the pope saying, "All the churches, come back to the mother church, to the beginning. Come back to Rome!"
I want one historian, one minister, or somebody to stand, look me in the face and show me that the church begin at Rome. The church began in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost! That's where. Organization begin in Rome, three hundred and something years later. But the church begin at Pentecost; God raising up a bride tree for Christ, with the same Spirit was in Christ, raising up a bride tree. And what happened? When it got to begin growing, the Roman bug got on it and begin to break it off. What the palmerworm left, the caterpillar eat, till it went plumb to a stump.
But God said, "I will restore, saith the Lord." That tree is going to come forth again, for the bride tree is coming after the bride.

28 Up come Luther, what did He do? Following justification.
That's exactly the way the church come in, John preaching justification. In come Christ, preaching sanctification. Hebrew... I mean St. John 17:17, "Sanctify them through the truth, Father. Thy Word is truth." And He was the Word. That's right. He was the sacrifice. Then, on the day of Pentecost, with the Holy Ghost. Justification; sanctification; and when the tree received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it was a full bride tree!
The Romans eat it down. Just as it went down, it come up! And as it begin to come up through Luther, what? After Luther's death, they organized it. What did the husband do? Pruned the old dead vines off.
Away she went, farther, the heart of the tree growing. It's a predestinated tree! That seed is a-laying there, it's got to come! And up it come again, and Wesley started. And they had a great revival under sanctification. What happened? He pruned it off again, when they organized. Never did an organization ever rise. Never one ever fell that ever come back again.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

29 Then along come the Pentecostals, with the restoration of the gifts. What did it do? Organize! What did God do? Pruned it off!
But what did He say? "I will restore, saith the Lord." He'll bring out of that conglomeration, a church that's blood-washed, Bible-bought, and Word-solid, a bride! The evening lights are coming out. Where does the fruit ripen at? Right in top of the tree. Here I go again!
Back to Abraham, back, let's get to Abraham. Here He comes, evening-time's royal seed coming in. Nations... Notice now, after the 17th chapter, we find out here in the 17th chapter, God appeared to Abraham in the name of the Almighty God.

Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

30 Abraham was ninety and nine years old, and all this time had never wavered, but believed God's Word; and called the things which were not as though they were, 'cause God said so, still believing that baby would come, holding onto the promise. What a man! What a brother! "Abraham, who against hope..." Sarah's womb was dead. He was sterile. His body dead. The Bible said it was, that his body was as good as dead. And Sarah's womb was dead. And she was now pretty near forty years a-past menopause, and still Abraham believed it, that she'd have the baby because God said so! There you are, it's holding to the Word 'cause God said so. No matter what, the creeds that covered it up, and still that Word laid there! It had to come. And that Word laid in Abraham's heart!
No matter how many says, "The days of this is gone, and that there." As long as that Word is laying there, it'll be creative, because it's a germitized Word. For, God is the Word, and the life of God is in the Word. Notice now when that Word drops into the life of God, something happens, it comes to pass.

Romans 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:

31 Now notice.
Then He appeared to him in the name of Almighty God. Now, God has seven compound redemptive names. And He appeared to him here in the form of Almighty God, which means "El Shaddai." In the ... "Shaddai," in the Hebrew. "El" means "strong one." "Shad" means "breast," like the woman's breast. And now instead of being "shad," singular; "Shaddai," plural. Now what a sweet consolation to an old man, a hundred years old, it's holding the Word of God in his heart, and here the voice of God comes to him and said, "I am El Shaddai. I am the breasted God."
What consolation we have! Now, remember, not just "breast," but "breasted"! "Wounded for our transgressions; by His stripes we're healed."

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

32 Now, what does a mother, with her little baby, when he's sick and fretting? She picks up the little fellow. She holds him up to her breast, and he nurses the mother's strength into his own body through the breast. And not only is he satisfied or is he... He is quietened. He is screaming to the top of his voice, he's all disturbed; but when the mother picks him up and puts him upon her breast, and begins to hum to him, rock him back and forth, he feels his mother, his head is on her bosom, and he begins to nurse and draw the strength from his mother, into his body. He's rejuvenating himself, building up strength; and also satisfied, while day by day he's growing stronger and stronger.

33 What an experience to the seed of Abraham! He's still Almighty God, El Shaddai! We can take a hold of any promise that He made in the Bible. His seed, His children, if you're sick, just take a hold of the breast of the promise of the Word that said, "By His stripes we are healed." It satisfies! And we are drawing constantly, our strength, from the strong one, El, the strong one, the eternal one, drawing His life from Him, through His promise.
What a feeling it gives a person laying upon the bosom of El Shaddai, believing, knowing that we are nursing the power of Christ, from His promise, into us!
When El Shaddai leaned Abraham on His bosom, twenty-five years before; an old man, seventy-five years old, and his wife sixty-five; he never left that breast. He walked right on through a strange land, amongst strange people who knew not God, but he constantly give testimony and was strong in faith, giving praise to God, because he knowed he was drawing from that promise.

34 What a hope it is for the church tonight, in the hour of darkness, superstition, sensation, intellectual. The Holy Spirit said, "In the last days there'd come an intellectual church. The Spirit speaks expressingly [I Timothy 3], in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, give heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils [sure], having a form of godliness [What were they doing?] ... heady, high-minded." Doctor PhD, LLD, QST, all these titles. "Why, Dr. So-and-so, a time so-and-so, is our pastor."
I'd rather some man be in my family, or my child, that didn't know the difference between split beans and coffee, and know Christ! That's right. Take him out yonder somewhere by an old stump and kneel down on his knees and pray with him till the Holy Ghost comes into him. I'd rather have that than all the psychology you could pour into him by a doctor's degree. Tell him the Word of God! Yes.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

35 "But heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, and despisers of those that are right."
Oh, you say, "That's communists." No, no! That's so-called Christians.
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, from such turn away. For this is the sort that goes from house to house, leading silly women, led away with divers lusts, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." That's right. That's what it is. And we see that day.

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

36 And what a consolation for the believer, to separate himself from all the unbelief, all their ungodly creeds, all their ungodly doctrines, and look straight to Christ and take the Word, and hold on to that Word till you see it being made manifest. No matter how long you have to wait, stay there! God promised it. He led you to it, hold onto it! Stay there. Don't take it back. Stay right there! If you're sure of it, you'll stay there. But if you're wavering, you'll turn loose at any little thing. A monkey grabs at shiny things, but a bear holds his hold. So, you stay on! Yes, hold on, good grip!

37 El Shaddai! He said, "I'm El Shaddai. Abraham, I am the strong one. You're an old man. You're a hundred years old now, your strength is all gone; but I am your strength! Your hope is all gone; but I am your hope!"
Oh, you suffering tonight out here with cancer and stuff, can't you see where your strength comes from? Not from the surgeon's knife, but from God's Word! "I am your portion! I am your strength! You draw your strength from Me!"
Not disregarding the surgeon now; he does his part that's up to him. But God is the healer. No surgeon, no doctor, no medicine ever heals. No, sir, they haven't got one medicine that will heal. Now, any doctor will tell you that. They got aids, but God is the healer. They might cut a gash in your hand, but God has to heal it. They haven't got nothing to build tissue; if they could, they could build a man. So you see, God is the healer. You can set a bone, but God has to heal it. God is the healer, "I'm the Lord that heals all your diseases." And you can't make God's Word lie; it'll come right back to the truth every time, just right straight back. You can't make it lie.

Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

38 Now they say the Bible contradicts itself. I've asked, and told men I'd give them a year's wages on the field, if I could, everything that I can do, to show me one word in the Bible that contradicts the other one. That's right. It's not there. It's because your carnal mind looks at it the way it does. The Holy Spirit is the interpreter of that Word. That Word is true, set together. It's all there like a jigsaw puzzle, but it takes the Holy Spirit to put it together, to make it the picture of God's redemption and His blessings to His people. Amen. It does not contradict itself! There's not one Scripture, not one verse of it, contradicts the other one. If it is, it ain't worth the paper it's wrote on, it's deceiving. God doesn't deceive. God is true, just, holy, honest. He's God.

39 Now, when Abraham got this word, that "I am El Shaddai. I am your strength-giver! Your wife, her womb has done dried up, she's forty years a-past menopause, your body is as good as dead; but I'm El Shaddai." He just brought Ishmael, you know, but He said, "That's not him. No, he'll be a great man. He's going to beget so many princes. But the one that I made the promise with, is between you and Sarah." That's it! Amen. Abraham felt real good.
He said, "Now I want to tell you something, Abraham. I'm going to change your name." He said, "You're not no more be called Abram, but Abraham." "Abram" means "high father." But "Abraham" means "father of nations." And S-a-r-a-i no more; she's S-a-r-a-h, "Sarah," "princess." Changed their name! What a changed name! Something taken place because they're... See, there's got to be a change before things happen. He could not give them the child as long as their name remained that.

Genesis 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

Genesis 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

40 And you cannot be borned again as long as your name remains off the book of heaven. You might put it on every church, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, packing it from place to place, fussing with all of them; but it'll have to be put on the book of heaven before anything can be taking place, and new creation can come. Before new life could come, their names had to be changed. You may have to change yours, too, off of some of these man-made books, to the books of heaven.
"And there, your name is no longer Abram, 'high father'; but it's Abraham, 'father of nations." No more Sarai, Sarai; but Sarah, 'princess.' "

41 Oh, here we come now over now to the 18th chapter. From the 17th, let's go straight to the 18th, 'cause it's just ... I don't want to get too far away from it tonight, to keep you here 'cause I want you back tomorrow night. Now notice. And we'll get, just as quick as we can, to the 22nd. Watch now. When they come one day about, maybe, say, two or three days after that, Abraham and Sarah, their tents was set.
Way down in the city down there, I imagine Mrs. Lot was wearing all the new style dresses they had down there. And she was doing all the hairdos and everything they had. She was just living luxurious, and had all of her daughters just the same way. Just the same way old mother harlot's done today and made all of her daughters do the same thing.
Now, but Sarah, yet the most beautiful woman in all the land, set on the barren land, because she was holding to him that had the promise. Now I better leave off right here, 'cause I'll go ... I'll keep you here till midnight. She held onto Abraham. That's right. He had the promise.
Hold onto Christ, He's the one that's got the promise! He's the promise. He is the promise! Notice.

42 One day the sun come up real hot one morning, Abraham was sitting out in the shadow of his tent there by the oak. And he looked down, it must have been along about eleven o'clock, and he seen three men coming, walking up, dust on their clothes. And Abraham run out. There was something in his heart that made him feel real good, and he run out and fell down at their feet. And watch, he said, "My Lord!" Isn't it strange? Three of them, but "my lord"!
Look at Lot. When two of them went down there, just two of them, he said, "My lords." Lot called them "lords." Abraham ... Lot called, two, "lords." And Abraham called, three of them, "Lord! My Lord!" Amen! Oh, the time is at hand! Notice, he said, "My Lord, if I've found grace in Your sight, come by, sit under the oak. Let me bring a little water and wash Your feet, and take a morsel of bread. For this is only the reason You've come by, to see me." They walked over.

Genesis 18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

Genesis 18:3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Genesis 18:4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

Genesis 18:5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

Genesis 19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

43 He went out and went through the back of the tent, and said, "Sarah, knead some meal right quick, and make some cakes upon the hearth." Went out and got a little calf, and had it killed and dressed, and made the chops, and brought some butter and some milk, and set it down before the men, and they did eat.
And one of them was God Himself! That's what the Bible said. Now if you want to argue with it, go ahead. He called Him "Elohim," God. He ought to know; he was talking to Him. Notice, "Lord God!" Now, one of them was God. And he looked at Him. Abraham recognized it. Now look at there.

Genesis 18:6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

Genesis 18:7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

44 A minister said to me one time, he said, "Brother Branham, you don't mean to tell me that you believe that that man was God?"
I said, "Abraham said He was. All the translators has translated it the same way, capital L-o-r-d. And anybody that reads the Bible knows that capital L-o-r-d is Elohim. Come from the same word, Elohim! 'At the beginning, in the beginning, God created [Elohim, the Almighty, self-existing one], created the heavens and earth.' There He is again, standing right before him."
He said, "Well, you don't ... " said "that was just a man."
I said, "Sure, He ate meat, drinking milk, and He ate bread." I said, "Sure, He was God."
He said, "How could that be?"
I said, "Mister,..."
I hope I don't hurt your feelings; it was Jehovah Witness. And he said to me, he said, "Well, Mr. Branham, look here, I want to tell you something. God couldn't do that."
I said, "You just don't know my God. That's all." I said, "What is a human body made out of? Petroleum, potash, and cosmic light, sixteen elements. Only thing God had to do to come down and investigate Sodom, He said ... just reached over and got Him a handful of cosmic light and petroleum, and 'Whew!' Said, 'Come here, Gabriel, step in here.' That's right. Reached over and got another handful said 'Come here, Michael, step in here.' And made one for Himself." He had to represent something He was going to be in the last days, so He comes right down and talks in human flesh. Exactly right. Oh, I'm so glad that He's that kind!

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

45 Someday there may not even be nothing left of me. I'm made of them sixteen elements, too. I was combing what two or three hairs I got left, the other day. My wife looked at me, and she said, "Billy, you're getting baldheaded."
I said, "Honey, I haven't lost a one of them."
She said, "You used to have curly hair."
I said, "Yeah, but I haven't lost a one of them."
She said, "Pray tell me where they're at."
I said, "Then, honey, you tell me where they come from before I got them. And wherever they was before I got them, they're there waiting for me to come to them."
Amen! Glory! The Bible said, "Not one hair of your head shall perish!" Hallelujah! That's exactly right. It was not, yet it is; and yet it is not, then is. Certainly. Exactly! Petroleum, cosmic light, calcium, potash, so forth. God... When I'm nothing, nothing that you can see, just ashes, He'll speak, hallelujah, throwing that potash and petroleum together, and I'll live again in His presence. Hallelujah! He gives us eternal life. Amen. "All the Father has give me, there's nothing lost, and I'll raise him up again at the last day." I believe it! As a seed of Abraham, I look for that day! I'm searching for a city whose builder and maker is God. Amen. Certainly. No matter how this wrinkles up and draws away, and the hair falls out, no matter what happens, God will raise it up again, in the splendor of youth again, at that last day. He promised He would do it, and I'm looking for that city! Amen.

Luke 21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

46 Oh, my! I feel so religious right now, knowing, that that blessed hope waiting for me there. I'm looking for that city. My heart is beating towards it. Oh, not one way would I turn, but look straight towards that place. God, help me to stay right there, true and faithful, throwing out a lifeline, everywhere, and bringing every weary pilgrim I can, to go along.
Yes, had a vision of it not long ago, and seen it, and seen my loved ones there, back young again. It's there. It's there. I know it's there! Yes, sir! Now, probably you read it in the Christian Businessmen's "Voice," and many magazines and things packed it. Friends, that wasn't a vision. I've seen visions, I ought to know what they are by the tens of thousand that He's give me. But this wasn't a vision. I was there, standing right there, looking back. And I know it's there. It's there, friends, it's there! I know it's there! Yes, sir! Just as sure as I'm standing here, so help me, if I've got my right mind and standing here in this pulpit, it's there! God has made His promise, and it is true, it's so true! Yes, sir. It is there.

47 Notice.
Now we find out, these men sat down and ate. And two of them got up and went down to Sodom. One stayed with Abraham. Let's watch their conversation. They kept looking towards Sodom. And Abraham knew there was something a little strange about that. So He said... then when He got ready to leave, He said, "You think I should keep from Abraham; being that he's going to be the father of nations, I know how he'll bring up his children, so forth; the thing that I'm going to do?" He said, "The sins of Sodom has become so grievous till it's done entered His ears." He come down to investigate.

Genesis 18:16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

48 Now remember, as I said the other night, two of those messengers went down into Sodom, and they preached to those Sodomites; and they blinded them that night, at the Word. But, remember, there was one; they had their sign, a stranger among them.
Look at Lot. Lot sitting in the gate, and said, "My lords." And living in such a way! They said, "Come into my house." He said, "We'll sleep in the street." What a home!
But as soon as Abraham ... they said "This is the purpose we come for. We sit down here by the side of you."

Genesis 19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

49 That's the way. Live so, that if God would want to use you, He knows right where to come get you. You're in a position, living a life clean before God, your words are honest, your life is true. That's the kind of a place that angels come. Look at Elisabeth and Zacharias, see, honest upright, walking in all the commandments of the Lord. That's the way we want to live, so when God gets ready to use us, He can say "This is my people. I can do with this church what I want to. They believe me. They stand on My Word." See, that's the way you want to do, live the life.

Luke 1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

50 Now we find out that this angel, He said, "I'm not going to keep from Abraham. But I'm going to visit you according to the time of life." And, notice, He didn't call him Abram, He called him "Abraham." How did He know that that name had been changed? He was the one that changed it. Sure. Notice, never called Sarai, you know, S-a-r-a-i, S-a-r-a-h. "Where is your wife, Sarah?" How did He know he was married? How did He know he had a wife, and her name was Sarah?
And Abraham said, "She's in the tent behind You."

Genesis 18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

Genesis 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

51 What a real lady!
Today, women is so brazen! Their husband can't even talk. They got to stick right out there, a cigarette in their hand, a pair of shorts on, doing all the talking. How perverted race of people, she's got to be chief cook and bottle washer, everything else! When she leaves the kitchen, she leaves her place of duty, right, as a mother.
Now we find out, women then stayed back and behaved themselves, acted like ladies, their head was the one who did the decisions and things.
And you try to let some man tell his wife; she say, "I'll give you to understand right now!" [Brother Branham blows.] blowing that smoke out of her mouth, looking such, how the hideous looks. I never seen such! And you can imagine out there, and stand there watch that person, discern that spirit in there, and them things; and maybe singing in a choir in some church. Oh, such a day that we're living! No wonder we're at that day! I hope you can catch through the lines what I'm meaning.

52 Notice, there it was. Sarah was in the tent, she stayed in there and behaved herself. Abraham was doing the entertaining of these angels. Now, and He said, "I'm going to visit you."
And Sarah was listening. And she laughed up her sleeve, she said, "Me, an old woman, as old as I am, and there my Lord also old, and say that we're going to have pleasure again as husband and wife?" And she laughed.
And the angel, with His back turned said, "Why did Sarah laugh?"
Remember, that was the last sign that the seed of ... or Abraham himself, which is a type of the church, it was the last sign that he received. From all the other signs that he received, that was the last one before Sodom was wiped out. That right? The last sign!

Genesis 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Genesis 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

53 When Israel, the seed that followed Abraham. And the Samaritans, which was an offcast seed of a mixed breed, looking for Him, though; they said, "Our father Jacob give this well to us," the woman said at Sychar, see. "Our father Jacob, he give this well to Joseph, his son, and we've drank from it, and he watered his camels. And You say You got water, so forth like that?" See? And the last sign that the seed of Israel, natural, received, was the same kind of a sign! Whew! Can't you see it? Think a minute!
The last sign that Abraham with the covenant, the last sign before rejection of the lukewarm church, and her destruction, was the sign of perceiving the thoughts in the hearts and the mind, God manifested in a human flesh.
And the last sign that Israel seen before she was cut off, was the same thing. And they said, "It's Beelzebub, a fortune-teller."

John 4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

54 Now is the hour! God, let this sink in! Now is the hour, that the royal seed of Abraham! Do you get it? God manifested in human flesh, giving them their last sign before the destruction of the lukewarm and the going away as it did. Last! Last splendor of Lot's backsliding! Let that sink just a minute.
Abraham, one; Abraham's natural seed, two; Abraham's royal seed, three.
Watch, the message don't take with the lukewarm out there. Where did it even go to them? Was sent to the Pentecostals, the elect, the drawed-out.
And as Israel did then, ninety... look how many, look how many Israel received it. When the time come for them to go up there, there was 120 out of about four million.

55 Now watch the royal seed. See, it's got to come those three times, see, everywhere you take. Ham, Shem, and Japheth's people. The royal seed of Abraham! There's Abraham; the natural seed; the royal seed. Everything! The royal seed is by Christ. We come to Abraham's promise that God give him through Christ, the royal seed. And this is the royal seed, this church of the Lord Jesus that He's restoring in the last days. The royal seed! Notice, he received that sign! And the royal seed Himself said, when He was here, "As it was in the days of Lot, so shall it be in the coming of the son of man." The royal seed, Abraham's seed, called out; Lot also, of his brother, a lukewarm, down in Sodom; and then the Sodomite, the world. Today, the world; the church world; and the royal seed. Exactly, they're sitting positionally and everything, just exactly according to order. And God, with His promise, has come right down, manifesting the same thing. Amen. If it isn't perfect, I don't know what perfection is. It's the Scripture.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

56 You've had speaking in tongues, dancing in the Spirit. You've had all these sensations. You have seen miracles of healing, and wheel chairs, and so forth. We've seen all of that. But here, here's the last sign done come up now. Abraham seen all kinds of things God did for him along the way, sure, but here comes the last sign, just before the promised son come. And now the royal seed is looking for a promised Son. Hallelujah! Are we? Are we looking for a promised Son? The Son of God to return! Hallelujah! Oh, that makes me feel like shouting. Look! The royal seed is looking for a promised Son. As Abraham did down through the years, watching, holding onto that Word, so has the royal seed. And the seed watching for this coming Son, the coming of the Lord, through one watch, two watch, three watch, on to the seventh watch, and here we are still looking for the royal seed. And what do we see just before the coming of the Lord? What takes place? God comes down in our midst, showing the royal seed like He did Abraham's seed; and Abraham, and Abraham's seed, and here it is with the royal seed. God dwelling among us in the form of the Holy Spirit, doing the same things He did back there, performing, showing it's the same.

57 And on the scientific research on the picture, the world knows, the scientist world knows that it's true.
The church knows that it's true, worldwide.
And I believe that every predestinated seed is just about in, the door is about closed, and judgment is fixing to strike. That's right. God won't always strive with man. He'll do everything He can. But the hour is approaching, friends. Notice.
I'm going to give you something to help you now. Remember, what was the next thing taken place now? Before they could receive the royal seed, there had to be a miracle happen to both Abraham and Sarah, physically, before there could be a royal ... before the seed could be born. "Now, Abraham's body was as good as dead," the Bible says that. Doesn't it? "And Sarah's womb was dead," the Bible said so. Now there had to be some physical something take place before the royal seed could, or, the seed could appear, the promised son. Before that promised son could appear, there had to be some physical something take place in their body, before the appearing of the promised son. Watch what He done. I'm going to give you a little something.

Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:

58 Now, reading the Bible, it's a love story that God wrote to His church. It's God. God is love. Do you believe that? And the Bible is written so that the educated and smart can never understand it. You have to be in love with God to understand it. You have to have God in you. He interprets Himself to you.
Now, it's just like I got a wife. Oh, how I love her! I love her with all my heart. And I'll be overseas somewhere and she'll, after she gets the kiddies to sleep, she'll write me a letter, and say, "Dear Billy, I'm sitting here tonight, I'm thinking of you. I'm writing." See, I know what she's writing on the paper. But I know her and love her so much till I just know her nature, I know what she means, so I can read between the lines, see.
And God wants His church to read between the lines. Not read anything out of it now! You have to read between the lines to see what it's meaning. Now watch and see, find out if it doesn't.
Now, what God done with Abraham and Sarah, He's showing them, example of His church. He did for them, he turned them both back to be a young man and woman. Sure, He did, put them back young again, just like He's going to do every seed of Abraham. No matter how old and broke down you are, there's a day coming when you'll be young and beautiful again, that's right, the splendor of life.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

59 I asked a doctor not long ago, "Tell me, sir. When every time I eat, I renew my life."
He said, "Yes, sir, that's correct."
I said, "Now, God said that we was made out of the dust of the earth."
He said, "That's right. The vegetables and meat and stuff you eat is dust. Where you get your potash and calcium and stuff in your vitamins, you bring it right out of the earth. And you are made out of the dust of the earth.
I said, "Uh-huh. Now, God created it first like that."
He said, "I know nothing about that, but" said "I know that now you eat food and it builds your body."
I said, "I ask you." I said, "Then you are questioning me about the virgin birth?"
He said, "Yes, sir, I am."
I said, "I'd like to ask you something, doctor. Explain this to me."
He said, "Well, anything that cannot be scientifically proven is not correct."
I said, "I'll take the opposite side, that anything is scientifically proven is not so, nothing to it." And I said, "The only real things there is in life is things that cannot be proven scientifically: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, patience, faith. Scientifically prove it to me. Yet it's a reality! God, the Holy Spirit, angels!" Amen! "Faith does those things. Everything you see is from the earth, come from the mother earth, goes back the same way."

60 I said, "I want to ask you something. When I was sixteen years old, I ate the same food I eat right now. I ate beans, potatoes, and bread, and meat. And every time I ate, I got bigger and stronger."
He said, "Sure, you was renewing your life."
I said, "Why is it, after I passed about twenty-two years old, anybody else, no matter how much you eat, you get weaker and older? Think of it." I said, "I got a jug of water here, and I got a glass; and I start pouring water out of this big abundant jug into this glass, and it starts filling up till it gets halfway full; and then without anything down here at all, the more I pour in, the farther down it goes. No matter how much I eat, how well; I eat better now than I used to, hundred times better."
I know what it was to chew on meat skins all night, and eat cornbread for breakfast with some sorghum molasses, and the same thing for dinner and supper, too. I know what it was to live hard, now I can eat better. Thank the Lord. But no matter how much I eat, I'm still getting weaker and older. And I'll finally dry up and die. Why? Why? It's an appointment God has made. That's right. Yes, sir.

61 Notice Abraham and Sarah, they went back to about twenty-two or twenty-five years old.
Oh, you say, "Nonsense, Brother Branham!" All right, now sit still just a minute, let's just read between the lines once.
Immediately after those angels left, and Sodom was burned, Abraham and Sarah took a long journey plumb down to Gerar. That's quite a journey for an old couple. Measure it on your map. They went down to Gerar. And here's Sarah now, grandma, ninety years old, a little sunbonnet on, shaking. And Abraham with his long beard hanging down. The Bible said, "They were both well stricken in age." Don't try to say they lived longer. And the Bible said, "Their bodies were both dead, stricken in age." And here they go down to Gerar. And there's a young king down there named Abimelech, and he was looking for a sweetheart, and when he saw Sarah he fell in love with her. Is that right? Grandma?

Genesis 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Genesis 20:1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

Genesis 20:2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:

62 "Why, you're the most...!" Abraham said, "You're fair to look upon." Amen. "I pray thee, tell him that you're my sister." Hallelujah! He was showing there what He was going to do for all of Abraham's seed. Sarah was beautiful. Abraham was young. I can hear Abraham say, "Sarah, dear, you know what, the gray is going out of your hair."
"Abraham, the hump is going out of your back. You're straightening up." They returned back to young man and young woman. God, showing! Oh, my!

Genesis 12:11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:

Genesis 12:13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

Genesis 20:12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

63 And Abimelech fell in love with her, and went and took, and would have married her. I can see him take his bath, and lay down with his pajamas on, and stick his toes up, after he said his prayers, and said, "Tomorrow I marry that beautiful, hundred-year-old"? Ridiculous! "That beautiful Hebrew girl! Oh, her brother, that young fellow! And how beautiful she is!"
And God appeared to him in a dream, and said, "You're just as good as a dead man."
Said, "Lord, why is that?"
He said, "That's a man's wife."
He said, "You knowed the integrity of my heart, Lord. She said, 'That's my brother.' And he said, 'It's my sister.' "
He said, "Yes, I know the integrity of your heart, that's the reason I kept you from sinning against Me." But listen! "But you are as good as dead, and your whole nation is gone. Her husband is My prophet. I don't care how holy you are and how much you pray, I'll not hear your prayers. But her husband is a prophet! Go, take his wife back and let him pray for you. If you don't, you'll die." Hallelujah!

Genesis 20:3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.

Genesis 20:4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

Genesis 20:5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.

Genesis 20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

Genesis 20:7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

64 What was it? God getting Sarah and Abraham ready to receive the promised son. Showing that the next thing after the manifestation of this angel of God, the Holy Spirit showing His last sign, the next thing, this mortal takes on immortality and we're caught up in the air to meet the promised Son, Abraham's royal seed. Glory to God! Hallelujah! "For we'll be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, and shall be caught up together to meet Him in the air. So shall we ever be with Him, the promised Son." Hallelujah!

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

65 Oh, I ain't going to get... Tomorrow night I'll get the 22nd chapter, see.
Oh, I love it, don't you? I'm so glad, all these things! The Bible is just full of these gracious nuggets. Just reach down and pick them out, roll the dirt off of them and look at them. Every one of them represents Jesus Christ, every man, for in Him dwelt the fullness of God. In Him, everything points to. Everything from the Old Testament pointed to the cross; and if it's in the New Testament, points back to the cross. That's right. It's all there. Oh!
Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above.
How I love Him! How I want to see Him! How that I long and wait for this old beat up, bruised up, heartbroken, tore-down body to be changed one of these mornings! The trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ shall rise. We shall be caught up with them, to meet the Lord in the air.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

66 How that Rebekah watered that camel in the cool of the evening. Eliezer didn't find her in the morning. He never found her at noontime; he found her in the evening light. "It shall be light in the evening time!" Right! That's where he found her. She veiled her face. She had no head; she was going to her head. Amen. A woman, it's her nature, of a woman, to surrender to a man. And it's the nature of the church to surrender to Christ, surrender to His will. Just surrender! She has no thinking of her own; she takes His Word, not somebody else's. If Eve would have done that, we'd have never had to die; but she listened to reasonings. But the real bride of Christ takes the headship of Christ, the Word, and only believes God's Word. That's the real, the restored bride. Hallelujah! It's nearly time, friends, it's later than you think. We're at the evening time. The Holy Spirit is here tonight. I know it's a little, bitty group.

Genesis 24:11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

67 You'd think, "Oh, if something like that would happen, God would manifest it over in Rome, to the bishops and to the popes. He'd come to the Methodist bishop. He'd go to the Baptist seminary. He'd..." Yeah, that's what you think. But He never did do it that way.
He comes to the humble-hearted, those who are looking for Him. And here He is tonight, the Holy Spirit, God, the same angel; here before the scientists, proving, there He is with His picture taken. George J. Lacy, the head of the FBI fingerprinting documents, he said, "The light struck the lens." He said, "Mr. Branham, I've said a-many time that it was psychology, that you were reading those people's mind. But" said "the mechanical eye of this camera won't take psychology. The light struck the lens. It was there!" There it is. One of them hangs in Washington, D.C., copyrighted, "The only supernatural being was ever scientifically photographed and proven."

68 Why? If I die tonight, if I never enter this pulpit tomorrow night, my words is truth. Because, it's not my words, it's His. I've never said "myself." It's not me. I couldn't do nothing. I'm a man like you, a sinner saved by grace. But God, in this last days, promised these things, and here they are! It's the Word. If it was some fiction, why it'd be different. But it's the Word proving the Word by the Word, confirmed, Bible through. Confirmed by the scientists! Confirmed by the Spirit! Confirmed by the church! God in our midst! Hallelujah. I'm so glad of that. Aren't you glad of last night, you stood and made that stand? Did it make you feel different? It'll always do, when you stand for God's Word. Stand for Christ! Don't be ashamed of it.

69 Let us pray.
Is there any in here tonight would like to raise your hand just for a moment now, and say, "Brother Branham, remember me in your prayer. I'm so longing to be one of those seeds of Abraham. I don't want to miss heaven. Pray, Brother Branham. Always down in my heart I felt like there was something I've reached for. I've never been able to get it. Pray for me, Brother Branham, that God will give it to me."? God bless you. Just look at the hands, everywhere, coming up.
How about the balcony? Now, remember, God is just as great in the balcony as He is down here.
Are you really sincere, you mean it? Raise up your hands. God bless you. I'm just watching a moment. Just keep praying, keep your heads bowed.
A sinner in here tonight would want to raise their hand, say, "Remember me, Lord. I'm not raising my hand to that preacher; I'm raising my hand to You. I truly believe that You are living today, that You never died; when You died, You rose again, rather. And You're alive forevermore, the same yesterday, today, and forever. I'm raising my hand to You, because I believe You're here"? Raise your hand, say, "Remember me, Lord." Keep praying. Have faith in God.
A backslider, then? God bless you. He sees your hand.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

70 Our heavenly Father, You see those hands. You know what's behind them. You said, "A sower went forth sowing seed. Some fell by the wayside, didn't do no good; some fell on stony ground; some on thorns; some went into a hundredfold." The sower was only responsible for sowing seed. Let the Holy Spirit catch that seed just now. Lord, I believe, Lord.
No man knows when You're coming. We don't know that. You said, "Not even the angels would know; just the Father only." Jesus claimed that He didn't know. "Just the Father only." Now, Father, I pray that if there's those in here that raised their hands, I believe they meant that. There is something behind them, a Spirit, that told them to raise their hands, and they did it. They're sincere. Maybe this is the first time You ever spoke to them, and it may be the last time. Maybe You spoke other times, and never speak again. I don't know. But, heavenly Father, I pray that You'll grant salvation to everyone that believes.

Matthew 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

Matthew 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Matthew 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

Matthew 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Matthew 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Matthew 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mark 4:3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

Mark 4:4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

Mark 4:5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

Mark 4:6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

Mark 4:7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

Mark 4:8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

71 Let Thy holy name be brought into reverence before the people. May Thy love be shed abroad in every heart by the Holy Ghost. Bless these minister brothers, Lord. These precious men here who has, in the midst of conflict, they invited me, anyhow. Bless the people who is attending.
I don't mean to be arrogant, I don't mean to be different, Lord; just truthful. And that's the only thing that You'll recognize, is the truth that's in a person, for You are the truth. Hear now, Father, I pray. Grant to them tonight that many of them here, that maybe didn't raise their hands, will be saved, anyhow. Grant it, in Jesus' name. Amen.

72 Now as we sit reverently just a moment. I believe we're just a little late to have the prayer line, but we'll have it. Every person, when you ... if you got a card, you hold your card. If you haven't got a card, you get one. If we have to stay here five days extra, we're going to pray for every one of them. That's right.
I'm just trying to get a message to the people. I'm trying to get you to see the main... If you get healed; perhaps, if you live long enough, you'll get sick again sometime. But if you ever get saved, you got eternal life, see. You can be healed, and go on your way and lose your salvation ... you could lose your life, rather; but when you're saved, you got eternal life then, never to be sick.

73 I wonder if you understood tonight what I was talking about, that God appeared to Abraham and Sarah there, and gave them the last sign, that angel, that before the destruction came and the promised son was given. To the church, that sign was the coming Son. To the world, it was destruction. Now, what He did for Abraham and them was examples.
Jesus come on earth, the royal seed of Abraham, and did that same sign. How many knows that to be so, say "Amen." Sure. And they rejected it. Is that right?
Now, He never did that to the Gentiles, 'cause the royal seed hadn't went out, the church hadn't been born yet. But when the church was born, and now it's had two thousand years, just at the... Remember, that was at the close of Abraham's waiting. That was the close of the natural seed's waiting for Messiah, 'cause Messiah was there.

74 This is the close of the royal seed's waiting. He's here, the appearing of Christ. Did you ever try to divide... There's a place in the Bible, you know, I ain't got time to go into it, says "the appearing of Christ," and then "the coming of Christ." That's two different things, altogether, the "appearing" and the "coming." He's appearing now, working with us in the form of the Holy Spirit, making it just perfect, the church. It has to.
Like if you got a dollar bill in your pocket, take it out and look. On one side it's the American seal; on the other side it's an Egyptian seal, the pyramid with the headstone way up above it, like an eye looking. And why would American dollar put beneath there, "The great seal"? Look like the American seal would be the great seal here. But the United States Government recognizes it whether they want to or not, the great seal.
Watch that pyramid as it shapes up, the church. Justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and then that's got to be honed out to when... The headstone never did come to the pyramid, it was rejected like the cornerstone. Now, but when that headstone comes... I've been to the pyramid; it's just so perfectly fit, you couldn't run a razor blade between where the mortar is at. And when the church comes... When Christ comes to receive His church, the church will have the ministry just exactly like that, and through that grace will raise the whole thing. The coming of the headstone; crying, "Grace, unto the Lord!"

1 Corinthians 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

1 Timothy 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

75 I got something in my mind. Hallelujah! Our God is still God. He reveals His secrets to His servants. I spoke of an angel that turned His back to the tent, and had His back turned to the tent, and said what Sarah was thinking about on the inside. I predict that that angel is here now, the Holy Ghost, the same pillar of fire, the same one that was in Christ. The pillar of fire led the children of Israel. The pillar of fire was made flesh and dwelt among us. He said, "I come from God, go to God."
After His death, burial, resurrection, ascension, He met Saul on the road down to Damascus. And a light struck him down. And he said, "Lord, Lord!"
He said, "Saul, Saul," first. "Who are... Why persecutest thou Me?"
Said, "Who are You, Lord?"
He said, "I am Jesus." Gone back!

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

Acts 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

76 Here He is here tonight, proven by a church, scientifically and all! Oh, friends, why are we so dull? Why do we sit so drooped? Let the God that spoke the Word, let the God that... As Elisha said, who come back with a double portion of Elijah, folded the mantle, and said, "Where is the God of Elijah?" Let the God that wrote the Word, confirm the Word! If this is His Word, let Him stand by it! He promised to do it. He'll do it if we'll believe it.
Now let me clearly make this known. I am not that person. I am a servant to that person. And you are too, if you're Abraham's seed.

2 Kings 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

77 But, me preaching His Word, and standing in the day where every denomination has turned me down, organizations has kicked me out from place to place. And just precious brothers who is in those organizations, who sees the light, will hold onto it regardless of what the headquarters says. God bless men like that. God bless women and men who stood last night. What can I do for you? Ask me something. Ask me what to do, I'll do anything I can for you. You are God's people. Any man or woman will make a stand like that, in the midst of conflict, I got respects for you.

78 Now if that angel... In Jesus Christ's Word, is predicted, that just before the coming of the Son of man, that the same thing that took place at Sodom would take place at the church, let Him come on the scene.
I'll turn my back. You bow your head and pray. I would by no means say this if I didn't feel led to do it. I'd be foolish for making such a statement. But, believing in Christ the Son of God, believing that He is the Word! And the Word is made reality in our flesh, when we take the Word, because it's His promise, "I'll be in you to the end of the world, and the works that I do shall you also."

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

79 I've turned my back to the audience, heavenly Father, that I have preached to, on this message. I pray Thee, God, let it be known tonight that You are still Jesus Christ the Son of God, and You are still Jehovah God. You're the same yesterday, today, and forever. And it was You there talking to Abraham that day at the tent. It was You that could discern what that woman was thinking in the tent, and told her. And right then, her denying it, You would have took her life, but she was part of Abraham, his bride. Lord, You'd take our lives, for our unbelief, but we're part of Christ. You couldn't have took Sarah without hurting Abraham. And You can't take the church without hurting Christ. Help me, Lord. I have no education. I'm just ... Lord, I have nothing, but just believe You. And I believe. Help it, Lord.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

80 [A sister speaks in another tongue. Another sister gives an interpretation.] Amen. Thanks be to the living God. Now, He's present. Be reverent, respect.
You can raise your head if you desire. Now not only... See, the Bible says that speaking with tongues is just edifying yourself, unless there be an interpretation. And if the interpretation, that's prophecy to the church. And the way I understood that interpretation then, was to "Believe the Lord, that it's He that has sent the Word." And then I never come in my own name, I come in His name. And His works He would do through me then, by preaching His Word and confirming His Word. Certainly. I believe that. You believe the same? How many believes it now, before any...? God bless you. Now, that's the way to, that's the way. Keep that level balance and you'll see something happen.

1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

1 Corinthians 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

81 I'm going to turn my back to the audience, because that was the Holy Spirit just witnessing to that, see. Be strong and what to do. Now you believe out there in the audience, somebody. There's not a person that I can see... How many out there is sick and afflicted, or got somebody that's afflicted, or something another that you're praying for, and you know I don't know nothing about it, just raise up your hand. Well, I guess it's just practically everywhere. Let's just believe now. Don't no one leave, just give me... It's twelve minutes until ten. Give me twelve minutes, will you? Don't nobody move. Don't nobody leave, at all. Just sit real still now. Just one time, open your heart.

82 [A brother speaks in another tongue. Another brother gives an interpretation: "For thus saith the Lord, 'I am in thy midst. Yeah, I will confirm my Word,' saith the Lord. 'Yeah,' I say unto thee, 'Take heed to my words this night,' saith the Lord. 'I am in thy midst. Listen to Me,' saith the Lord."] Amen. Thank You, Lord, thank You. Reverently we respect that with all of our heart. That's a gift in the church. Just be in prayer, reverently.
Remember, they was going to battle one time, they didn't know how to meet this great battle. David was standing there, and divided with them a piece of meat and a flagon of wine. But the Spirit fell upon one man, and he prophesied and told them where to meet the enemy, and it was so.
We're meeting a great battle, brother. And we're standing in a great battle right now. The Spirit has fallen upon someone, and has told you just what to do, to "believe." He's trying to get your mind away from being me, see. Some of you must be thinking that it's Brother Branham trying to do something. It's not me; it's Him. I just... A gift is just to yield yourself, like pull yourself in gear. Just like this microphone, turn it on, something has to speak through it. It's just a little gear I turn on, a little thing. The Holy Spirit! I don't turn it on; He turns it on. And then He speaks; it's not me. Now be reverent and believe, each one of you, and just pray.

2 Samuel 6:19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.

1 Chronicles 16:3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

83 Now, everyone knows that the Bible said that "Jesus Christ right now is a high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmity." If that's right, let the congregation say, "Amen." Is He the same high priest? Say, "Amen." If He is the same high priest, He would act the same way. Is that right? Amen. Now what would you do?
Now, to touch me, it wouldn't make any difference; I'm a man. But to touch Him, then He's the Holy Spirit that's in here. Then He reacts back and uses human lips. Because, He's the vine, we are the branches; He doesn't bear fruit, He only energizes the branch.
That's just turning my back, so that you can see that the things I've said...

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

84 Now, these ministers here on the platform, they're praying. You can look at me if you wish to. That's all right. Just to see that you might know that they're just... Cause, you're the shepherds, you're the ones that's pastoring these sheep. So, just that you might know. And I want you to pray for me, brethren. 'Cause, you see what I am? I'm representing the very Christ that you're serving. And I'm your brother, fellow citizen of the kingdom, with you brethren. And I'm just here...
See, now, right now the Word that I preached, see, it's at stake. Right now, failure, that's what Satan would want to see. That's all he's looking for. But God is no failure. Just be reverent.

85 Now with my back turned, I want somebody... Let me turn it, it's all the way around. Let me turn to this section, first, and then I'll come on over to the other section. Now somebody back this way; there's too many, like, praying. Back in this way, somebody pray back here now, that wants to believe God. Just believe with all your heart, back in here somewhere.
Now, heavenly Father, I appreciate You in all Your messages, everything that You've done. Now help me, Lord. I'm ... by faith, I believe You, Your Word. I believe it was Your Spirit that called me to do this. Now let it be known that I've spoke the truth. I've testified of You, now testify, Lord, that I've told the truth. I ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

86 [A sister speaks in another tongue.]
Father God, we're waiting for the interpretation of that. You said, in the Bible, there would be courses of three, and that's the third one. Now we pray that You'll make it known to someone who has them gifts of interpretation. I'm leaving it to You, in Christ's name.
[A brother gives a prophecy.] Thank You, Lord.
Now, that was a prophecy, not the interpretation. See, he said more than the woman did. There's an interpretation coming forth. See, that man was...
[A brother gives an interpretation.] Amen. Thank You, Lord.
Directly behind me... [A sister in the congregation starts praying.] God, grant the blessing to the woman, that she cries for. Just have...
Now just be real reverent now, and believe with all your heart. Now, by the Holy Spirit, I'm trying to bring forth the Word that I have preached, in which He has witnessed that will come to pass. Now believe with all your heart.

1 Corinthians 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

87 There is someone standing before me, which sits behind me. And it's a woman. And she is suffering with a heart trouble. And she has allergies that's bothering her. She's just behind me. If the woman is not standing up yet... The audience looking; I have my eyes closed. She's also concerned about a loved one, that's her husband that's sitting just from her; he's paralyzed, has a cane. The woman's name is Mrs. Brumley. Believe with all your heart. Stand up and accept what you have prayed for, and you'll get what you asked for. Stand to your feet. Is she up? [Congregation says, "Yes."]
God bless you. I don't know the woman, never seen her in my life. We are strangers to one another? I ask them, go ask them if it's right. Now if that ain't the same God that was down there just before Sodom, I don't know what is.

88 Somebody else in this section believe now with all your heart. (Lord Jesus.) There's a woman sitting right behind me. She has a deep desire. She is praying for something for God to give her. It's a baby, she's praying for. She's right here behind me. Mrs. Holm, you raise up and believe the Lord God. And if you'll believe it with all your heart, you can have the baby that you're praying for.
A woman comes in, and she's crippled. She's sitting in a wheel chair. She's behind me. She's not from this part of the country. She's from Sacramento, northern Sacramento. She's been very sick. The doctors can't help her. She's been in a hospital. She's had several operations. She's got kidney trouble, trouble with her bones. She's just nervous, well, she's just got complications. She's very bad. Mrs. Beeler, there, hold up your hand and believe that the Lord Jesus ... and be made... God bless you.

89 You believe? God still lives and reigns. If you believe it with all your heart!
Here's a little woman, I'm looking at her sitting here. She's suffering with a colon trouble. Her name, I don't know her. But do you believe God can tell me who you are, lady? Mrs. Bergman. You believe with all your heart, and you can be made well. You believe.
Here's a lady sitting right over here, praying for a friend that's just had a wreck. You believe with all your heart, you can have what you've asked for.
There's a lady sitting there suffering with headaches. Do you believe with all your heart? You can be made well. Don't doubt it. Just believe. If He isn't the same God, I don't know who He is. He's here if you'll accept it and believe it.

90 [A sister speaks in another tongue. A brother gives an interpretation.] Amen. Praise the Lord.
Can't you realize you're in the presence of God? You do that. Now I think what we should do right now, after the Spirit's been speaking, "Come to Me, believe Me, My people," I think we ought to stand for an altar call right now, and let those who that doesn't know Christ come up around the altar here and accept Him as your Saviour. If you haven't received the Holy Ghost, you come too, to receive the Holy Ghost, 'cause it's just that is going to happen. Won't you come now while we get a chord; someone is going to lead the singing. The Holy Spirit has been speaking. God bless you, sister. That's right. Somebody else step right out with the lady here. Come right up if you got... God bless you, sister. In the presence, where the Bible, the Word, the confirmation, the gifts, everything working, isn't it wonderful right now? Come right up to the altar. Come down out of the balconies. You without God, without being filled with the Spirit, come now while we sing.
Jesus is passing this way,
This way, today,
Jesus is passing this way,
He's passing this way today.
Jesus is passing this way, (Won't you come
now while He's passing, His Spirit
moving, saying, "Come"?) ... today,
Jesus is passing this way.
He's passing this way today.

91 Won't you come while He's passing? Look what He's doing among you, showing that He's the same. Move right out, every soul that doesn't know Him, not borned again. Won't you come now to seek Him? Remember, the same Holy Spirit that knows you. "...way today."
Jesus is passing this way,
This way, today,
Oh, Jesus is passing this way,
He's passing this way today.
Now let every soul come now that doesn't know God, that's not sure of your standing. Come on down. Don't be... Don't have an intellectual conception of it, brother, sister. Don't do that. You might have done any kind of a sensation. You might have had blood in your hands, in your face, you might have had shivers, and so forth. Nothing against that, now, that's all right. You might have spoke in tongues, you might have danced in the Spirit, and still be lost. That's right. It's got to be a life that's borned in you, that takes this Word and makes it live new again. See, Christ is the Word. And if you haven't got faith yet to move into that Word and believe it, won't you come now.

92 As the church of God, as the evening lights are beginning to shine down, and the tree is getting ripe; God said He would restore that tree, that same Pentecostal tree, same kind of a faith, same everything that they had, that tree will be restored again; without denomination, without anything, it'll come in the simple power of the Holy Spirit, teaching the Bible just exactly the way it did it. We're promised one in the last days, you know, to come and restore that faith. So I believe He's here tonight, in the form of the Holy Spirit. Come now, while we sing again, so we'll be sure we've made it.

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

93 Now remember, if these spirit... You Pentecostal people certainly believe your gifts of tongues and interpretations! If you can't believe what He's done here, then believe your tongues and interpretation, of calling you to the altar. Let everyone come. If you see that working, this working, God working, why, it's God! How more, there's a Word here confirming it, saying that it's the truth. Come on. One time more now, and you come now.
Jesus is passing this way,
This way, today,
Jesus is passing this way,
He's passing this way today.

94 Now let those who believe in God, real sainted ministers and servants of Christ, come, moving out, while we sing again now. Move up close to the altar, around these here. And let's pray with them, together. Come on. I want you to come here. I can't reach them, every one, with my hands. I want you to come. Some of you ministering brothers go down among them down there now, so you can touch them, lay your hands on them. All right. You that knows God, come, moving up around here, some of you women with these women, you men with these men. Move up here now. This is an order of God. Move up now, you people. That's it, that's the time. Some of you godly mothers and some of you godly brothers, move up around here now so you can lay your hands upon them, in confirmation, laying your hands upon them that they will receive the Holy Ghost. Now, that's it. That's it.

95 Now, why did you come? Because that you believe. You're convinced that God is in our midst. He is here tonight. He's here working in great signs and wonders.
Move right in close, everybody. Move right in so people can have a lot more room. Move right in close. There's more coming down the aisles, you see. Just move in close.
How many in the audience is concerned about these people standing here now, of the salvation of their souls, raise up your hands. All right. Let's all together now, lift our hands to God, and ask prayer.

96 Our heavenly Father, we bring to You tonight this audience, with the Holy Ghost in our midst, present now, making His Word live new again. Fill every heart, Lord. Come in the power of the Spirit. Grant it, Lord. Cast out every fear, every devil. Move in by the power of God, and take over these souls. In the name of Jesus Christ, I commit them to You for Your glory.

Jehovah-Jireh, part 2 (1964-04-03) (William M. Branham Sermons) somebody

Jehovah-Jireh, part 2

1 Let's remain standing, just a moment, while we bow our heads.
Heavenly Father, we're grateful, tonight, for the opportunity that we have, to come again to the house of worship, where we have present ourselves and our problems to You, that You promised to meet us here under the shed Blood. The only provided place that God has ever had that a sinner, or anyone could meet God, was under the shed Blood. So we come in the Name of the Lord Jesus, knowing that You promised it. If we'd ask anything in that Name, it should be given. We believe You, Father. Help our unbelief. We pray that our gathering together, tonight, will be to the glory of God, that God might be honored, and His Name be recognized among the people. For we ask it in Jesus' Name, the Son of God. Amen.
May be seated.

2 Deem this a privilege to be here again tonight, and see this nice group of people gathered out here. I believe, they said it was a stock exhibit. I've held meetings, pretty near, all kinds of places around the world. I remember out in California, I've had two or three meetings there at the Cow Palace, they call it. And from different sizes, a little room that hold five or six people, up to the largest gathering we ever had a one time, was Bombay, five hundred thousand at one gathering.
But, Bombay, a great thing, our Lord saved many people. If we could just got the churches to have a cooperation, they could take those Hindu's and so forth. And that was really, what we call, "unbelievers." Anything that doesn't believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, we call that an "unbeliever." And there was literally thousands that accepted Christ, but you could... just couldn't get to them.
Then at Durban, South Africa, we registered there, the people, thirty thousand on one altar call, one afternoon. Where, the next day, the mayor, Sidney Smith, of Durban, with about seven or eight of those great British vans were just piled full of old crutches and things that the people had walked on, for hundreds of miles. Or, they brought them for weeks, down through the jungles, on carriers. They was piled all full of that.
The mayor called me, said, "Go to your window that faces the Indian Ocean, out there at the hotel," said, "and you'll see something you never seen before."
And here was those big vans just piled up with, what we would call, crutches and carriers, and so forth, to carry their loved ones out of the jungle. And the people that was on them, the day before, was walking behind the van, singing Only Believe in their native language. It was certainly a thrilling sight to see that.
And in there was doctors. Many of them examined the cases, to be sure that they was right. We don't want to publish nothing, or print nothing, 'less it can be proven, the truth. Must be proven!

3 Just got a letter from a... while ago. It just come to me. Is a special, a famous doctor in Indiana. He's Catholic, by faith. And his son is a priest in the St. Meinard monastery at Jasper, Indiana. This was Dr. C. Ackerman. And I happened to meet him on a hunting trip, once. And he had been hunting for eleven years, for an elk. He failed to get one. And that night, we set till almost two o'clock, talking about the Lord.
I heard this doctor was up there at the camp. So when I got up there, I was expecting to see somebody arrogant and indifferent. But I met a mighty fine, sweet type of a man. He walked up, said, "Are you Brother Branham?"
And I said, "Yes, sir, I am."
And he shook my hand. He said, "I'm Dr. Ackerman."
I said, "Well, I'm certainly glad to know you."
We got to talking about God, and about how that if He ever was God, He has to remain God, or He never was God. See? A historical God is no good today, if He isn't the same to the people today as He was then.
So, about three o'clock, we, oh, the--the guide woke us up. And was... I was guiding, also, so we were going to take a trip, take our men out to different places where we guide. On the road down, Dr. Ackerman was lotted to me.
And on the road down, he stopped, little bit before daylight. Put his hand on my shoulder, said, "Brother Branham?"
I said, "Yes, sir, doctor."
He said, "I'm thoroughly convinced of Jesus Christ." He said, "I got a boy, you know, is a priest here at the monastery."
And I said, "Yes, sir."
He said, "I'm Catholic, by faith. I guess that's the church." He said, "I believe if--if He ever was God, He's God of all people."
I said, "That's exactly right. He created all men. And by one Blood He made all nations."
And he said, "Yes, sir, I believe that." Said, "I've read your books." He said, "I'm confiding this. I believe, if you'll ask God, to give me an elk today, I'll get it." Said, "Eleven years I've hunted for them; been caught in snow storms."
I said, "I'll ask the Lord to give you one, doctor. That's all I can do." And when I asked Him, prayed for him. I said, "Doctor, at exactly nine o'clock, this morning, the Lord gives you a--a five-point bull elk."
And he said, "I believe it."
That's all he has to do. "If you believe it."

4 So, a friend and I, climbed up on the hill, and watched the watch. At nine o'clock the gun fired. He had the five-point bull elk. We went and helped him bring it in.
He brings his patients to be prayed for. I just got a special just now, that he has got a cancer case, a woman dying with cancer, he'd like to fly in here. But I'm going home, after tomorrow, after, day after tomorrow. So I told him, just wait till we got in there, we'd pray for the woman when we got there.
So, see, many, if the case can be presented to the person sensibly! Divine healing has been made so much talk about, and so much fanaticism hooked into it, like there is in everything else. Any--any kind of a religion or anything, you get fanatics.
Even in the Mohammedans, you find there is, and the Hindus. You find somebody there, old hypocrite clowning for some tourists, laying on nails and so forth, glass. But back in the interior, is a man who really believes in that. He's doing that for sacrifice.
And--and we find that in everything. We find fanaticism. Even a fanatic eater eats too much. Or, or, anything!
But if the case is really presented in the Scripture, then there's nothing can... I find more believing doctors that I do believing ministers. I do. I really do. More believe.
I been interviewed at Mayo's. If you all know it, it been paper-wide, and everything. And fine clinics of doctors everywhere. There's nothing. They believe it. I--I've had doctors to come tell me, like at the interview there, said, "We don't claim to be healers. We claim to assist nature. There's only one healer; that's God."

5 How many read Reader's Digest, of that little Donny Morton, that they've signed to it, "was healed"? And, "The miracle of Donny Morton," Reader's Digest. So, that, that had me in on interview on that. That little boy been given up by Mayo's, Hopkin's, and all of them. And the Lord Jesus healed him, made him well.
And Florence Nightingale, late Florence Nightingale's great-granddaughter, London, England. She was flown from Durban, South Africa.
And the thing has been misrepresented. Just like the... like a many times in...
And the Christianity is misrepresented to people. Christianity has been represented to people as a declaration of creed. Christianity is a living Being, Jesus Christ, the resurrected, God that's alive and among us now. Christianity is a Person, not a creed. "To know Him is Life." Not even know His Word; that isn't Life. "Know Him," and He is the Word.
A fellow said to me, not long ago, he said... I was just discussing about the what we thought about a certain Scripture in the Bible. This fellow was quite a scholar. He said, "Well, you just don't know your Bible."
I said, "I know the Author real well." So, that's the main thing, if I know Him. He will take care of the rest of it. "To know Him is Life."

6 And, now, tomorrow morning, in the building here, there, my public relation man, Dr. Lee Vayle, is here. There's questions in your mind, come, he'll answer it, do anything that he can, to help you. Dr. Vayle is here. I believe he is somewhere in the back the building now. Very fine scholar, and a very well-trained man for the job. So, if anybody has got a question, or anything, and instead of just trying to ask it now, in a public meeting like this, why, see Dr. Vayle. He'd be glad to talk over anything that--that you'd like to talk over with him. And then he has a service here, in the morning. And we'd be glad to--to meet the people here.
And, then, Sunday morning will be Sunday school, throughout the city. We do not--do not try to take Sunday, Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon, in the auditorium here, because it's--it's not right.
You see, the churches, you, your duty is at your--your church. And when the church is having services, that--that should be your place. And we don't want anyone to come out, when you got your own post of duty to attend. If your church is having revival, and we happen to get into the city where you have revival, we don't mean to do that, not at all. We're here in Christian fellowship, tolerance, for good will towards all people, all churches. We do not...
I don't belong to any organization, at all. I don't belong to any organization. I--I just a Christian. And I, what influence I have, I just try to use it to--to honor Christ, and to bring sinners to repentance. And it's all that I know to do. Hoping, at that Day, and trusting that He will say, "It was well done." And that's the words I want to say... hear Him say.
I've often wondered. I liked to heard Him when He stood and stretched His arms that day, and say, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and heavy laden." Now, that was past. But, "Well done, My good and faithful servant," will be in the future. And, I, I'm living to hear that said.

7 And now, then, Sunday afternoon, we're going to pray for the sick. Sometimes people refer to that as healing services. Now, it isn't a healing service. It's prayer for the sick. See? We pray for the sick. And, usually, that's when the things take place, is when we pray for the sick.
I want every minister, throughout the country, around anywhere, that believes, to come, be sure to come Sunday afternoon, stand with us while we're praying for the sick. Regardless of what your denominational is, or whatever it is, we don't care about that. Surely, you have feeling for your people, and for the people that's God's people, and people who want to be healed.
Remember, when you're sick, your first duty is to see your doctor and see what he says. And then if he diagnoses the case of something that--that he cannot; science, science has not been able to reveal to him any help for you, then you have a right to come to God. He is the great Physician. And then...
And pray, and have prayer prayed over you. They do it, should do it, in every Christian church. Perhaps, they do here. I don't know. But most of the places, Christians pray for their sick. Presbyterians and many of them are having great healing campaigns throughout the north, and different parts of the country, praying for the sick, and having great success; Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, many of them.
Their great revival started with healing campaigns. And so they got away from it, of course. The new group comes in, they, bunch of men gets together and divides It up the way they want to, and then there goes away from It, you see, get right back to that creed, like Pharisees and Sadducees of the time of the Lord Jesus.
But now, every minister is invited, Sunday afternoon, to come and be with me, and--and help me as we pray for the sick. Bring out your sick and afflicted.
Now, we're trying now to let people to find sinners that doesn't know our Lord, that doesn't realize that He is not dead. He is living. He, He is not dead. He is alive, forevermore. And He said, "Because I live, you live also." What a promise, and what a consolation, when we see the time nearing!
All real Christians believe that the second Coming of Christ is near. How far away, we don't know. Did you see Alaska having a couple more earthquakes today? One of them, as hard as the first one was, only didn't shake it down. You know, Jesus said them kind of things would take place just before His Coming.
And, remember, these things that you're seeing happening here, the Word predicted they would be here, just the same as He predicted the earthquake. So, together, why can't we just put our hearts together, and knit it in God's Word, and believe with all of our hearts? All right.
Now, last night, we was... I took a text of Abraham, when he called the name of the Lord that appeared to him up there at the sacrifice of his son, where he was going to. The name was called Jehovah-Jireh, which is, "the Lord shall provide for Himself a sacrifice."

8 I have a few scriptures, and notes or two, wrote down here that I'd like to leave with you. Now just before we do, let's pray just a moment again. Father, we pray that you will take thy Word... Thy Word is truth, and the Bible said ... Jesus speaking, said the Word is a seed that a sower sowed. Now, we realize that if the seed is a good seed, it's germitized. And if that seed has been ... carried out (its plan in God's will), then it leaves a germitized seed. And when Jesus was on earth He was that vine, and the seed that He sowed was his word. And we know that it's germitized by his own life.

Mark 4:14 The sower soweth the word.

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

9 And we know that a seed when it falls in the right kind of ground---not upon rocks, with no root, nor in thorns and thistles that would soon choke it out; but in good, rich, fertile faith---every seed will bring forth of its kind. And we know that every seed, or promise of God, will bring forth of its kind---what it promised---if it strikes the right ground: the ground that's prepared, ready, all the rocks have been thrown out, and the roots and the bitterness, and selfishness, indifference, and jealousy---it's all been grubbed out. That root of bitterness that springs up that sometimes so spoils the thing that God's trying to do, we pray, God, that that won't be among us; but that the good Word will find good ground.
And these, as we follow this great patriarch, Abraham, in the lesson tonight, may we find our position---knowing that we are children of Abraham by faith in Christ. And then get glory to thy own name and honor, for we ask it in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Mark 4:14 The sower soweth the word.

Mark 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Mark 4:16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

Mark 4:17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Mark 4:18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Mark 4:20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Romans 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

Romans 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

10 We are going to kind of review back a little bit, tonight, for the lesson of what we was speaking on last evening. That was that we have found Abraham, beginning in Genesis the 12th chapter ... really his name was spoken in the 11th chapter, when his father came down from Babylon, and they dwelt in the ... Ur, in the land of Chaldeans. And then we find that, also, that God called Abraham, just an ordinary man by the name of Abram. He wasn't Abraham yet, and Sarai wasn't Sarah yet. So we find out Sarai and Sarah was two different names, and Abram and Abraham was two different names.

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

11 Now, we find that in this, we brought him up last night until the confirmation, that God confirmed to him the covenant---how He would prove to Abraham that He's going to keep his promise. That's found in the 15th chapter of Genesis.
And how ... and Abraham was called out in the evening to take down, slay a calf or a young heifer, and a she-goat, and a ram. We got into that last night, how the two females and the male, and then the two doves (or pigeon and dove, which is the same family), and got the representation of that---that that always represented healing, which, it never changed. Healing's always been by faith. But the atonement, of course, was divided from a animal life unto a human life.
Now, in the Old Testament when the worshipper come with the blood... God only meets people under the shed blood---the only place He ever did or ever will. He'll never meet you with your creed. He'll never meet you with your education. He'll meet you under the blood. That's the only place. All Israel worshipped under the blood.

12 And we find there then, also, that we found what, back in the history, of what ... how a covenant was made by people. And we find out in the Orient type, and different ways they make a covenant; how we do today by shaking hands, and so forth, and say, "Seal it"; and the Japanese throw salt on each other for a covenant.
And traveling around the world, you find much of the world still in the same condition it was back in them days, especially in the Orient and in the East. Your Bible becomes a new book if you ever go to the East, you'll never... Back in Jerusalem, Palestine, back in there, you'll... The Bible is written in... We're a English people over here, and the Western people trying to understand an English book. So it's a very hard thing. If you go back there, you find out the marriage and everything just exactly the way they did it in the time of Christ. Many things there hasn't changed at all in their customs and ways.

13 And now, in this we find that when they made this covenant in them days they drew it out on a piece of sheepskin, leather. And then they killed an animal, and stood between the pieces, and cut it ---their covenant---or in two (their words), pulled it in two, like that. And when they come together these had to dovetail exactly, the very same---had to meet piece by piece, so it could not be duplicated.
So, therefore, we find then that in our lesson last night we found that ... what God did to prove to Abraham his covenant.

Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Romans 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

Romans 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

14 Now, Abraham---the promise was made to Abraham and his seed after him; not only Abraham but his seed. Now, the seed, natural seed, of Abraham was Isaac; but the spiritual seed of Abraham's faith was Christ. Not through Isaac all the world was blessed; but through Christ, the royal seed, all the world was blessed. For He died for all people---all nations, and all people.

15 Now, we see in this also, in this covenant, that He showed there what He would do: how God would tear apart Christ Jesus; and the body was raised up and sits on the right hand of God in the Majesty on high; and the Spirit of Christ was brought down upon the earth.
Now, if we had time you could prove that anything one part of the Scripture says, it goes all the way through the Bible. If it doesn't, then there's something wrong. The Old was just a shadow of the New, foreshadowing it. Then if you get the shadow you can pretty well tell what the New is. So that's where He was, is, and shall be.

Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

16 Now, this Spirit of Christ come back upon the church; exactly fulfilled John 15 again where He said, "I am the vine; ye are the branches." Then again, John 14:12, "He that believeth in me, the works that I do shall he do also." Same works, same thing on down through the Scripture. "If ye abide in me and my word in you, ask what you will, it'll be given to you." Many things that Christ... "A little while and the world seeth me no more [the "world" there, the Greek word "cosmos," which means world order sees me no more]; yet ye shall see me for I ["I" being a personal pronoun], I'll be with you, even in you to the end of the world," making Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever.
He remains. He raised from the dead. "The world [the unbeliever] won't see me." They won't recognize Him, but the believer will recognize Him because He's the same Jesus that He always was. He hasn't changed---same yesterday, today, and forever.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

17 And I'm... And that Word, many people tries to make that like it's not inspired.
Now I want to say something here now. It just come on my mind and...

18 I do not believe that the pulpit is made for a place for jokes. This is no joking place. This is the sincerity. We see the day of the Lord appearing, we should be that much more sincere. But there was a story told me some time ago of a young fellow. This was at Boston. And he went away. He'd had a fine mother (first, to begin the story), and the mother certainly knowed her boy had a calling in his life to serve the Lord. And that would help any mother. Oh, to any real mother to know that their son ... that God has honored them with a child that is going to preach the gospel---that ought to be an asset to any mother's life. And so, the poor mother trying to do everything she could, she sent him away to school, and to a seminary to receive his BA.

19 And so while he was away the mother took seriously sick. And so she, as any Christian would do, they called the doctor. And the doctor ... she had a double pneumonia, and the doctor tried all he could do for her to check the pneumonia; and there was nothing. He'd give her drugs---sulfa, penicillin and so forth---to kill the germ. And it didn't take effect. The mother got worse constantly.
So they sent word to her son---which was way down at Asbury, Kentucky, to Wilmore College---to come and see her because she was going to die. And then the next morning, when the boy was getting ready to leave, they received a telegram: "Your mother is much better. Wait for further call."

20 About a year later the woman had the privilege of seeing her son. He returned home on vacation, and time off of his school. And he said, "Mother, I heard that you got all right," after they'd had a little time of fellowship, as son and mother would. Said, "I never did understand just what drug the doctor changed to cause your condition to improve so quickly."
She said, "Son, it wasn't that." She said, "You know where that little mission is down the street here? Them people down there that...?"
Said, "Yes, I remember that."
Said, "There's a lady said that she felt led to come up here and ask me if the pastor could come pray for me. And so I told her it was all right, so..." Said, "The pastor come up and read it out of the Bible, 'If any among you is sick, call the elders, anoint them with oil, pray over them. Prayer of faith shall save the sick.'" And said, "You know, he read that out of the Scripture. And he prayed for me and anointed me with oil. And the next morning I was so much better till the doctor let me sit up and in a couple of days I was all right."
"Well," he said...
Said, "Oh, praise the Lord." She said, "Son, you ought to..."

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

21 He said, "Mother, you're beginning to act like those people." Said, "Listen, mother." Said, "We have learned up at the school that where he read there, the second scripture he read was in Mark 16, where, 'These signs shall follow them that believe. They'll lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.'" Said, "We learned up there at school that Mark 16, from the 9th verse on, is not inspired." Said, "You see, those people don't go to school. Most of them down there, they're uneducated---kind of an illiterate people." Said, "They were meaning well, no doubt, but," said, "we learned at school that from the 9th verse on, that was just added, perhaps by the Vatican or something. But," said, "because ... that that part is not inspired."
The little mother let out a great big "Hallelujah!"
And so, (she) said, he said, "Mother! Well, what makes you say that?"
Said, "I was just thinking, son. If God could heal me with the uninspired Word, what really could He do with that's really inspired?"

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

22 So, such as the other promises: "Ask anything in my name I'll do it." If you say to this mountain be moved, and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you have said will come to pass, you can have what you've said." "When you pray, believe you receive what you ask for and it shall be given to you." See, it's all inspired, every bit of it!

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

23 When Morris Reedhead, a very fine scholar, come to my house he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, fell across a little coffee table in the house. He said to me, said, "Brother Branham, I understand that you was a ... you're Baptist."
And I said, "Well, I just was ordained at Missionary Baptist Church as a boy. I don't belong to..."
Said, "Well, what's these Pentecostals you're hanging around with?"
I said, "They're just people like you and I."
He said, "Well, listen," said, "Do you think that's the Holy Ghost, what they got?"
I said, "Sure."
He said, "Why all the kicking and stomping and hollering?"
I said, "Well, they got to blow the steam out the whistle, if they don't put it to use to make the wheels roll." I said, "If you was ever to get them to learn what it's all about... Instead of just blowing it out that way, put it to work! Faith, out on the street, trying to get people in---into the kingdom of God."

24 And he said, "Well, I've seen them do all that, so I'll tell you why I'm here." Said, "A fine boy from India..." Said, "He got his education and school." Said, "I'm... When I went to leave, take him to the plane, to put him on the plane to start him back overseas, I said to him, I said, 'Son, now you got your education, going back to your people.'" I think he studied, I don't... I think, electronics.
Said then, when he started back, he said, "Why don't you forsake that old dead prophet, Mohammed, and get a real resurrected Jesus Christ in your heart?"
And he said, "Sir, I want to ask you something."

25 (Now remember, this is from one of the greatest Bible schools, fundamental schools. This guy's one of their teachers.) He said, "What could your Jesus do for me, any more than my prophet can do?"
He said, "Well," he said, "My Jesus can give you eternal life."
He said, "My ... the Koran promises the same thing." (The Koran is the Mohammedan bible.) Said, "It promises the same thing."
He said, "Well," he said, "Yeah, I..."
Said, "You know, the Koran didn't promise nothing ... Mohammed promised nothing but life after death." He said, "Jesus promised you teachers that these signs and wonders would follow." He said, "That's what Jesus said." And he said, "We're waiting to see that done, see you teachers produce it."
Think of it.

26 He said to me, "Right then," he said, "I realized I hadn't met an overnight boy. I know one who knowed what he was talking about." (He might have played off, but that's a good way to do it. Let the enemy jump on to you one time like that, and then you don't know where to go, see.) So he said, "I realized that that wasn't an overnight boy."
And said ... he said, "Well, now look here. Jesus is raised from the dead."
He said, "Has he?" Said, "You've had two thousand years to prove it, and not hardly ... the two-thirds of the earth never heard of him. What's the matter with you people?" He said, "Let Mohammed raise from the dead, and the whole world would know it in twenty-four hours."
That's right.

27 They've got a horse standing at his grave. I've seen it there. They change guards about every four hours, expecting him to raise yet---in type there, coming on a white horse to conquer the world.
And so he said, "Let him raise from the dead and the whole world would know it."
He said, "Well, Jesus did raise from the dead." He said, "Your prophet's in the grave."
He said, "How do you know He raised from the dead?"
Teacher said, "He's in my heart."
He said, "Mohammed is in my heart too, sir."
He said, "But I have joy and peace."
He said, "Sir, Mohammedanism can produce just as much psychology as Christianity can." And they do. You ought to hear them shout and scream. That's right---can produce just as much psychology as Christianity can.
He said, "Well, what do you mean when you said Jesus promised all these things here?" Said, "I suppose you're referring to Mark 16?"
He said, "Yes, that's one of them---not altogether, but that's one.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

28 Jesus said ... the last words He said to his church, 'Go ye into all the world [see], and preach the gospel. And these signs shall follow the believer. [How long? All the world, every creature.] If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover. The last words He said, according to your Scripture."
He said, "Well, you see," said, "that's just..." Said, "You see, that part isn't inspired." Said, "He really didn't mean that. That was..."

29 He said, "It ain't inspired?" Said, "What kind of a book you reading?" Said, "All the Koran's inspired." Hmmmm.
It's a defeat of the weakness of theology, man-made theology that hasn't got the spirit to stand up and face the thing. Like the Hebrew children said, "Our God's able to deliver us from this fiery furnace; but nevertheless we'll not bow to this image." We need people with courage. Men who's believed God's always been courageous and believed in the supernatural---men who believe God.

Daniel 3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Daniel 3:18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

30 Mr. Reedhead said, "I kicked the floor, Brother Branham---kicked the dust like that. I couldn't answer the man." He said, "I purposed in my heart to come see you after that. And that's what this was all about." He said, "Here I am." He said, "If the Holy Ghost..." Said, "Brother Branham, my mother sent me to school," and said, "I've... When I got my BA I thought, 'There's exactly...'"
I said, "I know what you mean."
Said, "Then one day when I got my BA, I thought right there I'd find Christ; He wasn't there. When I got my doctor's degree..." Said, "I've got enough degrees, honorary degrees, to plaster your walls. And where's Christ in all of it?"
And I said, "Who am I to say if the teachers are wrong. But that's not what we are talking about. It's the person Christ that you need."
Now a man that's holding great campaigns everywhere. And Dr. Lee Vayle there, good friend of mine, is a friend of his also. And he's had a great success praying for the sick, and holding great big campaigns, and everything. It's because that men believe.

31 Now see, the Spirit that was in Christ (the body Jesus, which was God Emmanuel), the Holy Spirit... God came down in Christ, and He was made God with us. And then, that was to redeem us---his blood shed. Now, in the Old Testament when the worshipper come and laid his hands upon his offering, and he cut the throat of the---the priest did---sacrifice, the worshipper held the sacrifice with his hands. And feeling the tear of the flesh and the little lamb dying---its little wool being bathed with its blood, all over the believer's hands and so forth, its being caught in the charger to be burnt over there at the altar---the believer realized that he ought to be the one dying for that sin, but the lamb was dying in his place.
Now, but the life that was in that blood could not come back on the worshipper because it was the blood of an animal, which has no soul. But in ... therefore, there was a remembrance of sin continually.

John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

32 But now, Jesus being Emmanuel, then the life of God was in Him, and that comes back. Not only the life of a man, but God himself in the form of the Holy Spirit comes back, and makes you sons and daughters of God. Then you're sons and daughters of men when you feel the tear, and the misery, and the punishment that Jesus went through: mocked at; his ministry called a devil's work, Beelzebub; and made fun of, and scoffed at by religious leaders, and turned down; He came to his own, and his own received Him not; and the things that He went through with then, to have sacrificed his life on the cross to redeem that which God had foreknew---redeem, bring it back to the place where it fell from. Then, God did that in order to send back the Holy Spirit upon the church now, that it...
The people, the believer, it's only for believers;

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Matthew 12:27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

33 it isn't for unbelievers. They never will see it; they're dead to begin with. Look at those Pharisees, when they seen Jesus perform the very sign that was supposed to be the Messiahic sign. Look at Peter. He believed it now, and Nathanael believed it right now. The woman at the well believed it, blind Bartimaeus. All those that received it believed it. But those leaders stood there and said, "It's Beelzebub, an evil spirit, some kind of a hoax or a trick."
Jesus said, "You say that against me, I'll forgive you [the sacrifice hadn't been made]. But when the Holy Ghost is come to do the same thing, one word against it will never be forgiven, in this world or in the world to come." Why could not they believe that? Jesus said, "You are of your father the devil, and his works you'll do." That's correct.

Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

34 To believe the Word is to receive the Word and let it become life. Now, God ... showing there how He was confirming this covenant. It has to be that way. The church---not an organization, not a denomination, but the individual---and God has to become the same Spirit. That's God's purpose in the beginning. Adam and Eve was the same spirit.
The Bible said in Genesis 1:27, "In the image of God [God's a spirit], in the image of God created He him. Male and female created He them," in the spirit form that was in God. And Adam was to take care of the land, just like the Holy Spirit's supposed to lead the church now. And yet man was not in flesh. And he was both masculine and also he was feminish, because it was the same spirit.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

35 Then God created man out of the dust of the earth and made him in the form of animal---which we are now, animal. We know we're mammal, and that's a warm-blooded animal. And we are in that image of animal life.
And then God took a rib from Adam. Not ... a woman is a by-product of a man, not exactly in the original creation. He took a rib. He separated the physical, and took the feminish spirit from Adam and put it in Eve. There was a man and a woman. And when they get out of those places they're out of their right condition. There's a perversion somewhere when a woman wants to be masculine, or a man wants to act feminish. There's something wrong somewhere. They're out of their right conditions.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

36 We notice Rebekah and Isaac being own blood relation, see. But now that was typing Israel's natural seed. But by faith, Christ come on the scene---which is not in the natural. Like, the token was on ... the blood on the door of the post down in Egypt. No matter how much circumcised, how much covenant they had, the token had to be shown or the covenant was annulled. Certainly. "When I see the blood, I'll pass over you." Now the token is not the blood; it is the life that was in the blood, the Holy Spirit.
And that's the ... I don't care how religious you are, unless you've received the Holy Ghost you'll perish. It's the only way. There's not another scripture to do anything---only that alone. "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby you are sealed until the day of your redemption." Ephesians 4:30.

Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

37 Notice, now, we come back. Then that shows that Adam and Eve were one to begin with. Husband and wife is supposed to still be one. Now, but when they separated them into the flesh, it was there that Eve fell. Fell, why? To disbelieving the Word---every phase of it. Some people can take one part of the Word, but not the rest. It's all got to be there.
She just doubted one phase of it. And if all this sickness and trouble we've had now come by one woman doubting one phase of it, how are we going to get back anything less than believing it all, and accepting it all? That was their ... they was fortified by that Word. When they separated in flesh, they fell.
She fell by the Word. She ... watch. What did she look for?

38 Just so many people today, they want a better, stylish way---a easier way. They don't want to confront the thing that's set before them.
If they do, they're put out of their organization, excommunicated, thought little of. Don't you know that "all men shall speak evil of you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you"? And all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

39 Now what else do we want Him to say? Thousands of words we could... Scriptures pertaining to that would run from Genesis to Revelations. And anything that we have today began at Genesis. It's the seed chapter. All unbelief and everything started right here. The church started right there. Everything started there. It's like two vines growing, and one impersonating the other and getting right up almost the same:

40 like Moab, and also Moses.
There come Israel---little, no denomination, no nation at all---and they had the same sacrifice here. And Moab, a fine denomination, all their dignitaries come out, offered the same sacrifice, trying to... Their bishop up there, Balaam, come down to curse that what God had blessed. They thought, "These renegade people---they don't even have a church home, as it was. They're just wanderers about." And he said...
But they failed to hear that shout of the king in the camp. He failed to see that divine healing going there by that serpent, and the smitten rock to give them life, the shout of the king in the camp. He failed to see that---that blinded bishop---but yet, fundamentally, he was just as right as Moses was. Seven altars, seven sacrifices, even offered a ram, speaking of the coming of Christ.

41 But God don't need nobody to interpret Him; He's his own interpreter. He makes a promise and He brings it to pass, and that's the interpretation of it. No one has to interpret it. God don't ask no one. The Bible's of no private interpretation. Everybody's trying to say it means this, that... Let God speak for Himself. He's the one who does it. He made the promise; He stands behind it. He does to believers; but unbelievers receive nothing. It's not for them; they're dead to begin with. They never was even represented. There's nothing in them---dead hulls. You don't want to be like that. Be filled with the Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

42 Notice, He separated Eve and Adam, and she fell. Adam went with her. Now, Adam was not deceived; Eve was deceived. But Adam, the first Adam, was God's son also, and he went out because of the love of Eve---to try to bring her back because he loved her. Christ did the same thing to redeem her back. What to? The Word! What caused the fall? The Word, disbelieving the Word, all of the Word. And Christ come that He might become one of us, his life in us, to continue the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us," the same yesterday, today, and forever---the same God. That's why He come to do that. Now we find in the confirmation, redeem us back to Himself, redeem the wayward children that's strayed out in these morgues ... come back to the Word again, back to the identified Word.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

43 Now, them Jews, when Jesus come, they could say, "We got the Word! We got the Word! Here's what Moses said. We're Moses' disciples." Jesus, only twelve years old, disputing with them, and then when... You see, that's what man does to it.
But Jesus said, "If I do not the works of my Father, then don't believe me. For the works that the Father's given me to do, they testify who I am." Any man, the son of God, God testifies to the works that he's ordained to do. If it doesn't, the Scripture doesn't back it up, leave it alone.

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

44 Even in the Old Testament they had a way of knowing whether it was true or not. They took them down---a dreamer, or a prophesier, or whoever it was---they took him down to the Urim Thummim. That was a supernatural light. God always is supernatural, works in supernatural. As long as there's a God there, there's supernatural, if it's Jehovah God. And when ... no matter how well the dream sounds, if it didn't reflect upon that Urim Thummim, then it was wrong.
Now the old Aaronic priesthood is done away with, but still we've got a Urim Thummim. This is the revelation of Jesus Christ---reveals Him in this Word. And anything that's contrary to that Word is not God---contrary to it. But God speaks for Himself. He identifies Himself with his Word. That's where Jesus defeated Satan---"It is written."
And here comes Satan back, and flopped in again. He said, "Yes, and it is also written..."
But that time when he come he hit a heavy voltage. That time he singed his wings. He jumped off of there then. He said, "It's written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Get thee behind me, Satan!"

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

45 Notice what happened. God's always identified Himself by his promised Word. Now if them Pharisees had looked right back, Moses said, "The Lord your God shall raise up a prophet liken unto me." That was in the Scripture.
But no wonder Jesus thanked the Father, said, "I thank thee, Father, thou has hid this from the eyes of the wise and prudent; revealed it to babes, such as will learn." When He said to Peter on that day, when He come down and said, "Who does man say I, the Son of man, am? ..."
One of them said, "Thou art Elias," and one said, "You're Moses," and so forth.
He said, "But that's not the question I asked you."
He said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."
He said, "Blessed art thou, Simon, son of Jonas. Flesh and blood never revealed this to you [never learned it in a seminary, nobody taught it to you, but it's a revelation. Oh, my!]. Upon this rock I'll build my church, and the gates of hell can't prevail against it [the revelation, or the identification of Jesus Christ]." He said, "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not."

46 Now, let's journey on. We find Him now---let's go to the 17th chapter. We find Him here in the 17th chapter, where He appeared to Abraham after the confirmation of this, showing what He was going to do. Now remember, the Spirit comes upon... And the Spirit that's in the church---the real church, true church, God's church, God's people---the Spirit that's in them is on ... the same Spirit's on Christ, with the promise, "The works that I do shall you also."

47 Remember one time, in the crucifixion (just before it), they put a rag around his face and hit Him on the head with a reed. Said, "Now if you are the Son of God ... you're a prophet, they tell me. Prophecy, prophet!" They passed the stick. "Tell us who hit you." See that devil? See, he said, "I understand that you are a great miracle performer. Turn these stones into bread. Let me see You do it. I'll believe You if you'll do it like that. Turn these stones into bread. I'll believe if You'll do it."

48 A man told me not long ago, said, "If you can produce one person that's been healed, with a doctor's statement..."
I said, "Oh, mercy, man, shut up. Goodness sakes," I said, "I'll bring doctors by the hundreds."
He said, "I've got a thousand dollars waiting for you if you do." And I brought the doctors with the cases.
He said, "Well, the money's..."
I said, "I want that money for a missionary offering."
And he said...
"...send somebody that believes the gospel overseas."
He said, "Well, let me take a little girl, and me and my brother'll stand around and we'll cut her hand. And then you heal it right here before us, and we'll believe you."
I said, "You need mental healing." That's exactly right---a man so possessed with the devil!
The same one said, "If thou be the Son of God [if thou be!], come down off the cross," when the very Bible said He had to hang on the cross.
Caiaphas said, "He saved others; Himself he cannot save," not knowing it was the biggest compliment was ever paid Him. If He saved Himself, he couldn't save others. He had to give Himself.
Sure He knew who hit Him, but He don't clown for the devil. God's not a clown. He don't clown for the devil. His works are sent to those that believe; not to be clowned by.

Matthew 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Matthew 27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

Mark 15:30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

Mark 15:31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

49 Notice. He appeared to him here when he was ninety and nine years old, and He appeared to him in the name of Almighty God. The name there in the Hebrew is El Shaddai.
Now, God has seven compound redemptive names. We know that, and you cannot separate them from Christ. You can't separate them. Christ met every one of those compound redemptive names. You believe that? Do you believe He's Jehovah-jireh, the Lord's provided sacrifice? Then what about Jehovah-rapha, the Lord heals all thy diseases? If that wasn't applied to Christ, then He wasn't Jehovah-jireh. So you can't separate it. The whole thing's wound up, and there you are. He can't be Jehovah-rapha without being Jehovah-jireh, and He can't be Jehovah-jireh without being Jehovah-rapha. He was wounded for our transgressions, with his stripes we were healed. No argument about that.

50 Now we find here He appears in the name of El Shaddai, the Almighty. The... Really, the word, the Hebrew word "shad," s-h-a-d (some pronounce it shade), " shad" means breast, like a woman's breast. And He appeared to him in the name of El Shaddai, which is in the plural, breasted. "I am the breasted God. Abraham [ninety-nine years old], walk before me. Be perfect. Believe my word, just keep on believing. I promised at seventy-five. Here it is been twenty-four years now since I made you the promise."
And what a comfort it ought to've been to an old man ninety-nine years old, and his strength all gone, and here God stand before him and said, "I'm El Shaddai. I am the breasted God. [Amen!] Draw your strength from me. I am your strength. [Like the New and Old Testament breasted God.] I am the breasted God. Draw your strength from me." Like a little baby when it's sick, fretting, sick, weak---it leans upon its mother's breast and nurses his strength back from the mother. In other words, "Abraham, you're nothing but a baby to me, ninety-nine years old. It hasn't been no time." His life... Just remember, Jesus was crucified like yesterday. One thousand years on earth is just one day with God. See, just like He was crucified yesterday.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

51 And notice, "I am El Shaddai. You are the little weak baby. But lean upon my bosom, my promise, and nurse from me your strength. I'm the creator that hung the heavens and earth, put the stars out yonder. Is anything too great for God? I'm El Shaddai, and you're my child, though you are weak. And I'm letting you get that way just to see what you'll do about it. I'm going to make an example for people hereafter, that men will believe my word. I'll stand by it no matter what it takes, how long---I'll do it. I'll stand by it." El Shaddai. "Draw your strength from me."
"Oh," you say, "if I could believe..." He's still El Shaddai. He's still the breasted God, New and Old Testament. Just draw your strength from it, whatever thing you have need of. The baby, he's helpless. He has to pull his strength from his mother. That's the only way he can get his strength. That's the only way a believer can get his strength is pull it from the Word of God. That's his strength, God's promises to him. Stand by and believe it.

52 Not only is the little baby here represented when it's sick and fretting---the mother can put it to her breast and it goes to nursing its strength back---it's satisfied while it's a-nursing. That's the way with the real child of God. No matter what the skeptic says, whatever it believes---if you truly believe it, Jesus can't lie! You're satisfied that it's revealed to you. You've got the promise, and nothing's going to stop it. "On this rock I build my church": spiritual, revealed Word of truth.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

53 While waiting, resting in your faith, take God's promise. "I believe you, Lord. You promised to give me the baptism of the Spirit. I'm resting in your ... and faith, my faith that I have in You. I'm drawing from my resource ... for my resource from ... for my health from your resource, the Word." Man shall not live by bread alone, but out of the bosom of God shall he nurse his strength. Every word that comes out of the mouth of God, shall he receive his strength as he ... comes from the mouth of God, the Word.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

54 Like Abraham---Abraham was resting. Now, he had lived with Sarah since she was a little girl. It was his half-sister. And he was living with her, and married her. And she'd had ... she was barren. She had no children. And here she is now, she's already... If he's ninety, ninety-nine; she's eighty-nine---eighty-nine years old! But, "Abraham, rest in the faith of my word. I promised you I'd do it. I'm El Shaddai. I am the breasted God for my children that believe." If you don't want to nurse, well, then, don't say no more about it, see. But if you are a child, you are nursing, resting, every promise.

55 Notice, real faith rests upon the solid rock of the promise of God's Word. It doesn't shift. The real faith is anchored, like the North Star. The North Star is a tie-post to every shipmaster. The compass points you only to that North Star. And God, the Word, is every Christian's North Star, if you are lost. And the Holy Spirit is what points you to it. It won't point to nothing else. All other isms and so forth, and Christianity mixed up in it, whatever it may be, it's like the world shifting. It changes those stars; but it can't change the North Star. Neither can anything change the Word of God. Anchor to it. Stay with it.
Now, real faith doesn't shift by creeds, and man-made doctrines and unbelief. It stays right with the Word---real faith in the Word. And where can you put your faith on anything else but the Word? If God said it, hold your finger to it, that's true. It doesn't shift. It draws from God's breasted book, the Bible, his attributes, what He promised. What He promised, that's his Word. The Word produces itself. It has to be a thought before Word, then Word, then the Word's manifested; and that's where you draw your strength from. Believing, believing for the Creator, believing like He was the Creator that made the world.

56 The New Testament said, back there, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up." Same purpose---what was it? They were doubting God, and sickness and trouble set in. And He lifted up the serpent for what? For their healing and for their forgiveness. That's what was... And brass represents divine judgment. And Jesus was that serpent judged, of course. The brass...

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

57 Now, when ... after He had confirmed the covenant, or the covenant was made manifest to him, it gives faith to the true sons of God. The Word gives faith---the breasted One. It does something to them when the Word ... when the covenant is made manifest---gives faith to the true sons of God.

58 Now, we realize that in this He was called Elohim. The word also in the translation here means Elohim. Just looked it up to be sure---Elohim. And Elohim is the all-sufficient One. He's El Shaddai, Elohim, the breasted God, the all-sufficient One. He needs nothing from nobody else. He's your all-sufficiency.

59 Notice, the same is testified here (I was noticing this afternoon while I was studying), in Job. Job---He's called Elohim. And Job was ridiculed, made fun of. How ... what a picture of today. But Job was resting in Elohim's promise: "Though after the skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God, whom I shall see for myself." Resting in Elohim, no matter what comes.
His wife comes, and said, "You look miserable, Job."
And here come his comforters around. "Ah-a-ah, you see what happened to you, old boy. I told you you were wrong all the time." See what happened? A lot of people like to throw off on people like that. Job was the best man of his day. The best man God had on earth was Job. He told Satan, "There's none like him. [Amen!] Have you considered him?"
Satan said, "Yes. Everything comes easy for him. Break that hedge and let me have him. I'll make him curse you to your face." He done everything he could, but he couldn't; Job rested in that promise.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

60 The guys come by and said, "Now, now where's all that God you was talking about? Uh-huh. Look what you ... you believe in being this... Look. Look what's going on now."
But he still rested in El Shaddai, even though many of his boils was breaking him out, and his life was as good as gone. He's sitting on a ash heap, scraping his boils. His wife said, "Why don't you curse God and die?"
Said, "Thou speakest like a foolish woman. [Oh, my!] The Lord gave and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. I trust in Elohim. Though He destroys this body, the skin worms eat it up; yet in my flesh shall I see God whom I shall see for myself. Mine eyes shall behold, and not another."
He came forth in Matthew 27 when the saints rose---come out and went in. But very (entered into the city), very type of today; yet waiting, trusting in the promise.

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

61 Notice, after He appeared in this name, the name of Almighty God... Now, church, now we may get just a little bit of doctrine here might be a little twisting to you. If you don't believe it, that's up to you. We're just here ... I'm going to speak what I think. You got a right to think what you want to think.
But notice---but all these things were types, shadows, and examples, as the Bible said they were. They're all there. And this is God's dealing with Abraham in the journey, just like He'll deal with Abraham's royal seed in the journey.
Notice, He deals with the Jews the same way. It all started in there in that promise of the covenant---all nations, all people.

62 Notice, after the appearing in this name of Almighty God, it was revealed to him that He was the all-sufficient One. He had no helpers; he didn't need any secretaries. He was alone God. He was God alone. And He appeared to Abraham in this name. And while He appeared to him in this name, and Abraham recognized who He was, He changed Abraham's name.
Now, He's come to the fullness of believing now. See where the church has come? I hope you can read between the lines. Come up to the place to where He revealed to him who He was, and then He changed Abraham's name so that the promise could be fulfilled.
Now, you say there's nothing in a name. Then why did He change Abraham's name from Abram to Abraham? Why did he change Jacob's name from Jacob (supplanter) to Israel (prince with God)? Why did He change Saul's name to Paul? Sure, his name... Certainly. It certainly does mean something---it certainly does. If you're not named right, God will change it if He's called you. Yes, sir.

Genesis 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

63 Notice, He changed his name here now from Abram to Abraham, which means father of nations---added the h-a-m, Abraham. So, He did this so that the complete promise could be fulfilled; and the son, now, that had been promised so long could be seen, or otherwise, be revealed. When He changed his name and... After he recognized who He was, he might have been ... might have thought there was a party of them. But he recognized that He was Elohim---God alone. But when he did that, then He changed his name.
He said, "Now, Abraham, you're no more to be called Abram, but Abraham; for a father of nations I've made you---Abraham." Now he's in condition now. He is in condition... After the revelation of who He is, he's now in condition to see the son revealed.

Genesis 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

64 The son's ready to come, to be revealed.
Oh, children of Abraham, notice. He changed his messenger's name right at the end-time, just when he was ninety-nine, just one year left. And He changed his name from Abram to Abraham. Changing his name added the h-a-m, which means father. He was to be a father, a father of a promise---father promise.
Oh, if you've got spiritual discernment, listen. After the revelation of his name, of who He was, He changed his name. Now, after the revelation now has struck the earth---there's not a company of gods; there's one---now it's time for the revelation for the Son that's been promised to be revealed to Abraham's royal seed of the promise.

65 Look. He changed it from Wesley, Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal. I don't know whether to say this or not. You don't have to believe it. But I hope you forgive me, for I don't want to hurt you. But look. There has never been a messenger to the churches of God, throughout all the entire history of time, that ever had a leader since the reformation, like the leader we got today---Billy Graham. That's right, 'cause he's went to all the world, see.
And notice. Never have we had a man... Any reformer we take: Sankey, Moody, Finney, Calvin, Knox, whoever it might be, Wesley, Luther; there hasn't been a one with the name ending h-a-m before. The only messenger we've ever had in the church ages with the ending name of h-a-m---G-r-a-h-a-m, Graham. And Graham is six letters, and six is man's number, man's day. Man was created, in Genesis 1:26, on the sixth day. But seven is God's number. Seventh day God rested---not six, showing this G-r-a- h-a-m would be to the church that's in the world.
But A-b-r-a-h-a-m, Abraham, is seven letters.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

66 Say, "There's nothing in numbers." Then you don't know the numerics of your Bible. You're sure to get it wrong now. Certainly. God's perfected in threes, worshipped in sevens, and fifties, and forties, and jubilees in fifties. Oh, whatever you want to... All the Bible runs in mathematics. Notice, the sixth is a messenger to be sent to the world. And notice, seventh is God's number.
And notice, at this time of the appearing now, by the revealing of the son, when it's going to be revealed---the son---they done already recognized his name, knowed who He was. He's El Shaddai, the Almighty, Elohim. But now we come down to the time of the promised son is to reveal himself. The son---Isaac himself---has been promised, is ready to come on the scene. And He couldn't do it until He sent and changed his name from Abram to Abraham, because the father of nations he was.
Notice, "ham," h-a-m, father, father of nations.

Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

67 Look how fitting that is with Malachi 4---restore the faith back to the fathers---Abraham's seed being restored back to the kind of faith that father Abraham had, his royal seed. Malachi 4 to be fulfilled is to restore back the faith that was once back there in the beginning---restore it back to the royal seed of Abraham.
It's a promise. It's exactly the promise. The royal seed is to be revealed, and by ... the royal seed, which is the royal seed of Christ. Christ is the royal seed. And the seed is the Holy Spirit that's in the hearts of the people that believe in God, that hold his Word, and God working through them carrying the same message. "A little while and the world seeth me no more; yet ye shall see me. I'll be with you, even in you, and the works that I do, you'll do also" (see?), revealing it in the last days here, how it's supposed to come.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

2 Peter 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

68 Watch the 18th chapter now. Immediately after the changed
name, God appears to reveal Himself in flesh. After the name's made known---who He is---God appears in flesh. Abraham, one hot day, just a few weeks, or months, before Sodom was burned, and Isaac come on the scene... And notice, Abraham is sitting out under his oak. And Lot is down in Sodom, and they're enjoying the pleasures of the world. Yet he is Pastor Lot---probably had him a nice little congregation down there. Whatever he did, the Bible said the wickedness and sins of the time vexed his righteous soul. So he must have had ... like a lot of modern Lots today. But he knowed he couldn't say nothing about it. So then, notice, there he was.

69 But Abraham, after He had been revealed to him now---Elohim was who had been talking to him---now he's sitting under the oak, and here comes three men, walking like human beings. Watch the effect of the revelation (of who God was) had upon Abraham---what it did to him. After his name was changed from Abram to Abraham, he seen three men coming. And he called the three one ---"my Lord"---three of them being one. Not so with number six---Lot. He seen two coming, and he said, "my lords." Abraham's vision and revelation showed him that He was the all-sufficient, Elohim. His seed still receive the same thing.
Notice how He revealed himself, how He made Himself known whether he was right or not. Notice, to the true believing what sign He did, what did it ... happen to make him know that that was Elohim. Now, he said, "My Lord." It's capital L-o-r-d. Any scholar, you know it. Any scholar knows that's Elohim, the all-sufficient One, Elohim.
A man said to me one time, "You don't believe that was God!"

Genesis 18:3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Genesis 19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

70 I said, "I sure do. Abraham said it was God. He talked to Him, he should know."
"Oh," he said, "you mean God stand there, eating that flesh of that calf, and drinking the milk from the cow, and eating cornbread, or what you want to call it, there?"
I said, "He did it." Why, you just don't know our God. Why, my, He could just... Why, He just reach over... We're made out of sixteen elements: petroleum, cosmic light, and potash, and calcium, and so forth---just sixteen elements. He just caught it together, and breathed into it, and walked down on the earth. I'm so glad He's that sort of a father. Though the skin worms destroys this body, yet He'll call you. He promised to do it. He's Elohim.
Jerked another handful, said, "Come here, Woodworm [or whatever it was---the angels]. Come down, and let's go over and look at Sodom and see what's going on."

Genesis 18:8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

71 And Abraham, after the revelation, he seen it and he knowed that there was one God. He seen it, and he said, "My Lord, come aside. Sit down. Let me wash your feet." Now, he never said, "lord." Watch, it's in the capital there. Anyone knows it. I got the Emphatic Diaglott, see. It's capital L-o-r-d: Lord, Elohim, the all-sufficient One. Said, "Let me fetch a little water, and wash your feet and give You a morsel of bread. And then You can go on your way."

72 Say, I'm getting too late here. I better hurry. I want to get over here, and I don't know whether I'm going to be able to. Just bear with me just a little bit longer, will you?

73 Notice---Elohim, the all-sufficient One, God. And He said... Watch what he did. Now two of them, they kept looking down towards Sodom. And He said, "Think I'll keep this a secret from Abraham?" He does nothing till He reveals it to his prophets, see. He makes them know it. And He said, "I'm not going to keep this, seeing he's blessed of God. He's going to inherit the earth, and so forth. His seed's going to be ... [in other words, he was going to be the father of many nations]... I won't keep it from him. I'm going to let him know."
And so He said (begin to reveal to him),

Genesis 18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

74 and He said, "Abraham [not Abram], Abraham, where is thy wife S-a-r-a-h?" How did He know that? Why, just the day before that, he was Abram. Day or two before that, she was Sarai; and now she's Sarah and he's Abraham. Said, "Abraham, where is your wife, Sarah?"
Abraham said, "She's in the tent behind You."
He said, "I'm going to visit you according to the time of life, and this son that's been promised is ready to come on the scene now. You're going to have it."
And Sarah, to herself, kind of laughed. Said, "Me being old, and have pleasure with my lord again? And him old? [something like that, you know, 'cause she was ninety and he was a hundred, and so...] Now could I do that again?"

Genesis 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Genesis 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

75 And the angel messenger, God in human flesh, said, "Why did she laugh?" That was a confirmation. Why? Showed the revelation was right. Showed that what he had called Him---Elohim---was right, because He was the Word. That was in Hebrews, the 4th chapter, the 12th verse. Said, "The Word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword, and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart." And when Abraham seen this, he was sure then he could call Him Elohim. Elohim---He was the Word, same yesterday, today, and forever.

Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

76 Notice, when Jesus, the royal seed of Abraham, come on the scene, He revealed Himself to the natural seed of Abraham in the same sign, and they called Him Beelzebub. It blinded them---the unbelievers---blinded them, and caused them to blaspheme Him, and sent them to hell. But it gave eternal sight to the believers that was ordained to eternal life.
Notice. Jesus promised that in the last days, just before the coming of the Son of man, that He would come and reveal Himself. When the days of the Son of man is being revealed, the royal seed of Abraham would see the same sign. Now notice. When He said there, at St. Luke 17:28 and 30, "And as it was in the days of Sodom..." Now, Jesus said this. I'm not responsible for it. I'm responsible for telling it---say what He said---but Jesus said this. "As it was in the days of Sodom, so shall it be in the coming, at the coming of the Son of man." Now notice. In the days that the Son of man is being revealed, when the Son of man's being revealed to his church,

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

77 like to Abraham... He was God, He kept coming on down, confirmed the covenant, recognized who He was, and his name changed. Notice, it changed just before he got on the hill looking over Sodom, just before the promised son came on.
Jesus said the same picture... Jesus was reading the same Bible that I'm reading and you're reading. If you want to know what it was, go back and see what they were doing in the days of Sodom. Notice, not so much in the days of Noah---He told their immorals, how they was eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage---but in Sodom. Now, there's no more water---God promised that by the rainbow sign.
He give us a sign. He always gives signs. He ever remembers his signs, always loyal to it through the years. Never fails to give that rainbow sign. He always gives his signs. Notice, and in that sign He promised not to destroy the world no more with water; but He did say it would burn. And notice Jesus here saying as it was in the days of Sodom, the Gentile world was going to be destroyed. [Gap in the audio.] And look what's down among them: a man, G-r-a-h-a-m, a-blasting them away---to them politicians, to the church natural.
Now on the church spiritual,

Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

78 there's always three classes of people. That's believers, unbelievers, and make-believers. They have them in every crowd. If you felt the pressure I did, you'd know they was right here tonight. So you (all three)... Notice, there you are. There's always them three classes everywhere.

79 Now, if you will see that, it was to be the same thing when the Son of man was to be revealed to the royal seed of Abraham through Christ---Christ is the royal seed---when He's being revealed in the last days.
Now, positionally, the world is sitting exactly ... because the sun that rose in the east sets in the west. And it was a dismal day---made organizations, denominations. But it shall be light in the evening time, said the prophet Jeremiah. Now, and in the days when that sun, it comes out from behind the clouds of denomination to reveal Himself, He said the world would be sitting just like it was in the days of Sodom, and the Son of man would reveal Himself again to his people.
Look how He revealed it to Isaac's seed. Look how He's going to reveal it to the royal seed---the bride, royal, the queen. The queen is the royal seed. As God brought a nation out of a nation in Egypt, He's bringing a church out of a church, or a bride out of a church---church out of church. And the remnant of the woman's seed (that's what was left over), there's weeping, and howling, and gnashing of teeth 'cause they didn't have oil in their lamps. Holy Spirit always represents... There they are.

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

80 The position is sitting right.
And now, look up on the hill. Now, the church ... Abraham, Lot, Sodomites; the world, the church, the elect---the church, the bride out of the church. We're sitting positionally right. The world is just in the right swing to it.
Perversion---everything's perverted. It's ... I tell you, everything's hybrid. I come down and seen a big sign said, "Hybrid Corn." Why, it's no good! No. That ought to make you atheists jump. When God said, "Let every seed bring forth of its kind," and you can hybrid corn and make it a better looking corn; but you can't plant that back again. It ain't got no life in it.

81 And that's the way we've done the church. We've made it pretty, and decorated it with denominational tinsel; but it ain't got no life in it. It can't produce that Bible rhythm today. It can't produce the evidence of the resurrection of Christ. It's a hybrid affair: better-dressed people, better paid, bigger denominations, richer---of the Laodicean age, exactly. "Rich, have need of nothing, know not that you're miserable, wretched, blind, and poor. Naked, and don't know it."
If a man knowed he was naked, you could talk to him; but when he don't know it, that's a miserable shape. Pitiful! Don't scorn the people, but have mercy. What if that was you in that condition? What if the Word wasn't revealed to you? What would you do? What else would matter if your eyes was so blind you couldn't see it? That's a miserable sight.
And just exactly positionally---you can't lay a finger on it. There it sits. Just what He said would take place---these signs would be in the last days. See where they're sitting, just exactly.

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

82 Now watch. Hybreeding---you know, if anything... You take, like you take a donkey and breed it to a horse, a mare rather, and what do you get? You get a mule. But that mule cannot breed back again. See, God said, "Let every seed bring forth its kind." Now where's your evolution coming from? Your own project has condemned what you said you believed. God said let every seed bring forth of its kind. He can't breed back again. No, no, he's finished.
And I think a mule is one of the ignorantest things I ever seen. You can't teach him nothing. He'll sit there with them big long ears, you know, and he'll wait till the very dying minute to kick you before he dies. He's just ... you can't teach him nothing. It reminds me ... you sit there, and you go tell him things. It reminds me of some people, claim to be believers today, big long ears sitting there. And, "The days of miracles is past, honk, honk, honk." He don't know where he come from. He don't know nothing about it. Only thing he knows is some church creed.

Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

83 But let me tell you, I've got respect for a thoroughbred. Boy, he can tell you he's pedigreed. He can tell you who his papa was, who his mama was, who his grandmama, grandpapa was. He's pedigreed. So is that pedigreed Christian. Can run it straight back to the book of Acts, and see where they come from---a pedigreed Christian, borned of the same Spirit, the same thing, acting the same way, with the same persecutors. Donkeys and horses feeding together---that's right. There you are. You've got to have it, though. This is a hybrid day.

84 I seen a piece in "Reader's Digest" not long ago. Keep feeding women this hybrid meat and stuff, they can't have their babies. They're changing. They're getting bigger in the shoulders and narrower in their hips. Why? You know man always destroys himself by civilization. Come back to God! Believe God! Come back to the original seed. Come back and believe it.
You've read my tapes---you've got my tapes, rather---I guess heard them, on the original seed, and the bride tree, and those things, which was true. Lord knows that. How those things was foretold months and months... You people, what you see here ... just minor that you see taking place. Ask the people that's along. Ask if one time it ever failed. Tells about people, earthquakes, things that's going to happen---the Holy Spirit tells us. Is that right? There's men that's been... Sure.
And of different people

85 like Marilyn Monroe, way before she was ... died. They said that she committed suicide. She did not do it. She died with a heart attack. Absolutely. This man, this fighter, the Maginot Line in Germany, all those things---just thousands of things perfectly on the dot every time! It can't be nothing else but the Holy Spirit.
He promised it. He give seven things in 1933 would happen and now every one of them has come to pass but two things. Perfectly, just exactly. How that even President Kennedy will be taken in---it's right here on my books right now. Told thirty-three years ago. Exactly. How that the Maginot Line would be built, eleven years before it built; how that Hitler would rise up, and Fascism, and Nazism; and all to bind in Communism, and Communism would destroy Catholicism---it will, no matter what they do.
It showed that there'd be an ecumenical council, and how that all the churches'd come together, and would form the image called "the mark of the beast." You see them right on the road right now. That's exactly right. It's got to happen, 'cause it's never failed to be... Anybody that ever knows that---any body, take them around the world---it's never failed one time. Months and years ahead of time, it's just perfectly right on the spot. It's God among you, people---God in us, the Holy Spirit.
Notice, Jesus said that the royal seed would be identified by the same thing, here in Luke the 17th chapter. Oh, "Return, O dispersed," from your denominations to your own.

86 Any of us can believe that God... If you believe in God, you know God heals the sick. That's no question. Why, if you don't believe that, you don't... They said in them days, "Oh, we know He can heal; but He can't save."
Now, "He can save; but He can't heal," see. Just the same devil, same thing; He's both Saviour and healer. He's Jehovah-jireh and Jehovah-rapha. Oh, return! Remember, He promised this position of everything sitting just the way it is now, and what would take place. He said it would happen, and it's got to happen.

87 Folks, I'm sorry. I've kept you late now. Just bow our heads just a minute. I'm going to... I'll finish this up, maybe tomorrow night. I've got about six more pages of notes here on it. Bow your heads just a moment. Be reverent, everybody.
You might disagree with me. You have a right to that. I've got a right to express what I think. I've had the Scripture. Now no matter what I would say, if God doesn't back that up, then the Urim and Thummim isn't working. Then it's refused. No matter how good it sounds, how real it sounds, the Urim and Thummim has to show it. The seed has to come to life. If it doesn't, then it wasn't so.

88 Now, for healing---now, I've tried to tell you I'm not a healer. There's many men that call themselves healers. Then there's a lot of critics that call men healers, that ... just to criticize. Their heart's not right with God, see. Anyone knows that no man can heal another. God heals the sickness. Let God call for your death; and pray all you want to, and the hospital give you an injection of fluid every day, and you'll die just the same.

89 If I cut my hand tonight, and stand here with a cut hand, there isn't a medicine in the world can heal my hand. We ain't got a medicine that heals. No medicine heals. Any doctor will tell you that. It just keeps clean while God heals. It can't build tissue.
If I cut my hand and, "Oh," you say, "Yes, Brother Branham, there's medicine that will heal that." All right, I want to know what it is. Let me show you. If I cut my hand and fell down dead here, a doctor could come and embalm my body, and make me look natural for fifty years; sew up my hand and take me out there, and give me a shot of penicillin every day. And in fifty years from now that cut would be just like it was when it was made. If medicine is made to heal a cut, why don't it heal it? Any medicine that would heal a cut in my hand, will heal a cut on this desk, would heal a cut in my coat. If it would heal a cut, it'll heal a cut no matter where it's at.
"Well," you say, "why, medicine was made for human beings." Then why don't it heal? "Well," you say, "the life's gone out of it."
Then there's something else besides the medicine heals. It's life. Sure, and life is God. Certainly it is. Yet, some sinners are perverted with it, but yet you're in the image of God; and the life that you have, God gave it to you. You know that. No, because God is the healer. Life is the healer. You believe that, see. I've seen so much done.

90 Now you just accept Him, won't you?
Before we do that, I wonder how many in here is convinced? Before... If you're newcomers here, never been in here before, but you believe Him to be the Son of God; and by this (the message tonight, the Word alone, before He even does anything), that you believe it and you want me to remember you in prayer, raise up your hand, will you? God bless you. Oh, my---three or four hundred hands. God bless you. Faith cometh by hearing, hearing of the Word. The reason I said that, to see ... to find favor with God. I think, now, instead of just calling a prayer line up here, I'll just have you to pray.

Romans 10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

91 Let me give you a scripture first. What we do, it must be scriptural. It's got to be scriptural. God won't honor nothing else. God won't honor a lie. You know that. You couldn't attach that to Him. He don't honor lies; He only honors his Word. But He promised that "My Word will not return to me void. It'll accomplish that which it was purposed for." And we see the Word is 'lotted today. No matter how much unbelief rises in the camp, God will honor his Word when He finds faith to honor it by.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

92 Now, somewhere in the building, I want you to take this scripture: Hebrews, the 3rd chapter I believe it is. The Bible said that He's a high priest right now, that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. And you that raised your hand, I want you, as soon as the service is getting to the close here, I want you to come up and stand around here and be prayed for; accept Christ as your Saviour, take your way to one of some fine church around here, no matter where it's at, somebody that preaches the gospel. Go to them and ask for Christian baptism; and the pastor will take you from there on. He's God's man. He's called to be God's man. He'll take you from there on. Just... If I was here in the city I'd belong to some of these churches here. I'd come to them---them that believe the gospel. I'd be there. Certainly. I'd identify myself with them, for that's what you need to do. That's what you need to do.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

93 Now, if He's a high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities now, He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore He'd have to act the same as He did yesterday. Now watch. A little woman touched his garment one time, and He turned around, and knowed what she had, and told her her faith had saved her. And she felt within herself... She never took any pains to prove it. She didn't have to prove it. You don't prove things; you believe God, see. You don't prove God at all. You can't prove, to save your life, there's a God. Just go on out here and say, "Let me see Him," see. You've got to believe.

Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

94 The whole armor of God is supernatural: love, joy, faith, long-suffering, patience, meekness, see---all supernatural. We look at things that you can't see with your natural eye. And Christ is here tonight. He promised that "Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them." ("There I am." "I" again.) He's here.
Now He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. You pray
and say, "Lord Jesus, I am sick [or whatever you have need of]. I am needy, and I want you, dear God, to have mercy upon me, and heal me, and make me well. And now if I have faith enough, Lord, to touch you... I know that Brother Branham don't know me. I'm a stranger, and I know he doesn't know me.
"Now if that man has told me the truth (which I believe it is, 'cause it comes right from your Word---I've read it. I see it looks just perfectly right.), now confirm it. I claim to be a seed of Abraham through Christ. I claim to be the royal seed, believing on Jesus Christ the royal seed. And I believe to be part of his bride, his church that He's coming for. And I'm sick and needy. Please, Lord Jesus, let me touch your garment. And confirm it to me by speaking through Brother Branham, as he promised it would be, like it was in the days of Sodom. Just let (me), let him tell me what I'm thinking about, praying for, what I want, what my needs are, something about me." You do that. Just do it.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

95 Heavenly Father, now it's all in your hands. Now this is all I can do, or any other man---can just say what You've said here, the truth. Now confirm it, Lord, to be the truth. I've spoken of You; speak that I've told the truth. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

96 Now I want you just to believe, just have faith. Now don't no one move around. Just sit real reverent. I want you to imagine standing before you in here somewhere, Christ---raised up from the dead, come right through the walls one time, eat bread, said, "Feel me. I'm flesh and bones," and disappeared right before them. Now He promised that He would appear in the last days in the form of human flesh again---in your flesh---like He did at the days of Sodom. God, which was Christ (manifested in flesh), now in his church, his bride. See, they're coming together. It's a uniting time: churches are uniting, nations are uniting, and the bride and Christ is uniting, see. It's uniting time.

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

97 Now just believe.
Simple? Don't try to get nervous and press something, 'cause you don't get nothing. Just humbly say, "Lord, I believe." Someone just do that.
And now, I... How many is sitting before me, especially... Now, I know these men here, and these here. I know some sitting here. How about right here, just right in front of me? Let's concentrate on this little group right in here somewhere. How many never seen Christ make Himself known like that? Let's see your hands, never did see it. Guess everybody has seen it. All right. You pray now. Just be reverent. I don't know that He will. I can't say that. It's up to Him. Will it make you believe real strong? The Lord hears that. He knows all things.

98 The man sitting right there, suffering with a hernia---do you believe that God will heal that hernia? You do? We're strangers to one another, I suppose---you and I? I don't know you. I've never seen you. But that's what you was praying about. Raise up your hand if that's right. Raise it up.
Do you believe that ... do you believe that when Andrew had told Simon to come see, that they had found the Messiah, and when he come up in the presence of the Lord Jesus (being that you're in contact with something now, your prayer) He told him who he was. Do you believe God could tell me who you are? If you believe it, He can do it. Would that encourage you to believe with all your heart? Would it do the rest of you that way?
Now, the man's put his hands up, that whatever was told him (I don't know---I have to run the tape, see), whatever it was, was right. Is that right, sir? All right. Whatever ... is right. Mr. Shepherd, believe with all your heart. If thou canst believe... That's no more than what He said, "Your name is Simon, son of Jonas." Now if you just believe, that's all that's necessary. Now what is it? He promised that. He gave that promise. That shows that He's here. Not just me; He's in you. He's in his body of believers.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

99 Little lady, weeping and praying with your head down, suffering with a cancer---if you won't fear and will believe, God will make you well, if you can believe it. She's going to miss it, sure as... Mrs. Hood, believe with all your heart now, that Jesus Christ make you well, and you can have what you've asked for. Now you going to believe it with all your heart? Amen.
Sitting right next to you there's a lady's got stomach trouble, heart trouble, complications. If you believe with all your heart you can have your healing. Do you believe it with all your heart, and accept it? You do? All right.
That man there with hemorrhoids---do you believe that God can heal those hemorrhoids and make you well? Raise up. What did you think about, sitting next to him with a hernia? Do you believe that God can heal that hernia and make you well? The lady right next to your arm there is suffering with headache. It's gone now, hasn't it? See, your faith did it. That's all you have to do---just believe.

100 Here's a lady here with diabetes. Do you believe God will make you well, lady, sitting there with diabetes? You believe God can tell me who you are? You do? Miss Robison, that's your name. Put your hand over on him there for that hernia. Maybe God will make him well, too. If you believe it, will you do it? All right, sir. The lady sitting next to you, lay your hand on her, sir. She's got neuritis. Do you believe that God will heal the neuritis, and make you well? If you do, you can have your healing too. You got to believe it.

101 Now that's confirmation. God made the promise. Now how many believes that Christ is here? Do you believe it? Now, all you that want, in his presence now, that wants mercy from Him, that wants mercy on your souls, and you want to accept Him now while you're right in his presence identified...
Now, a man might come in here with nail scars in his hands, and thorn prints, and say, "I am the Lord." Any old hypocrite can do that, but the life... The Lord Jesus' body is sitting at the right hand of the Majesty. When He comes, time's no more---when that body returns to the earth. But his Spirit's here. His life is giving evidence of Him being here, see. "I'll be with you, even in you, to the end of the world."

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

102 And you want mercy from Him now, will you just stand for a word of prayer? All over the building, you that ... wherever you are, you just stand. God bless you way back in there. That's right, just keep standing. Just stand on your feet, that's all I want you to do. Just stand up a minute for prayer. If you'll stand for Him... If you're ashamed of Him now, He'll be ashamed of you before the Father. And if you're ... if you're willing to confess Him now, He'll confess you before the Father.
"I now want to accept Christ as my Saviour. I want Him to fill me with his Spirit right now. I want Him to..." Just remain standing just a moment for prayer, if you will. Stand up. That's right. I want ... I feel led to do this, making... This is an altar call. Stand up. We have no altar to come to; your heart is the altar. Just pull back all the unbelief, and know that He's here now. Stand up on your feet, you who wants to accept Christ right now, in the divine presence that you feel that's vindicated now. Now, let us bow our heads.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

103 Lord Jesus, they are yours. You said, "No man can come to me except my Father draws him." And now, according to science, they could not even raise their hand. The law of gravitation says our hands must hang down. But there's a life in them, and that life was brought near to eternal life, Christ. And they made a decision in their heart that they are through with the world. And they raised their hands and stood on their feet, defying the law of gravity, that there's a life in there. So do we defy the law of the world, and unbelief. In the name of Jesus Christ, they're yours.
They're love gifts of the gospel. They're memorials of the message tonight, and your great presence with us. Put their names upon the Lamb's book of life there. Lord, we pray that each one of them will be there as your children, your beloved. Fill them with the Holy Spirit of God into their hearts. May their lives be so charged with the power of Almighty God that humility, and love, and kindness, and gentleness will flow from them; and a zeal to see others saved that was once in their condition. Grant it, Lord.
Only thing that we can do, Lord, is to believe. And they stood as a memorial of their belief. And now with my faith and their faith together, we lay it upon your altar by faith. And they are the sacrifice that's laying there, waiting for the sacrificed Son of God to accept them into his kingdom. Grant it, Lord. Just now may they be yours, in the name of Jesus Christ.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

104 Now you that believe on Him with all your heart, that's standing, raise up your hand, say, "I believe Him. I accept Him right now as my redeemer, and I seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit." Raise your hand. God bless you. Now you may be seated. Now, I want you to make your way to some church now, right away.
Tomorrow night we're going to have a meeting for the baptism of the Holy Spirit---tomorrow night, right here at the building. Now there's a lot of fanaticism they call the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but that don't mean that there isn't a real Holy Ghost, the real genuine Holy Spirit of God, just the same. And I believe that He'll meet with us here tomorrow night.

105 Now, how many in the building is convinced that we're at the end-time? How many are convinced that this is the truth? The Word is supposed to be this way in the last days? Raise your hand. How many of you is believers? Wave your hands. All right. Jesus said these words, "These signs shall follow them that believe," if you're a believer. Now how many are needy of Christ in your body? Raise up your hands. All right. You believers that's sitting next to them, lay your hands on one another. And the way you pray in your church, that's the way you pray here. Don't you pray for yourself. You pray for them; they're praying for you. And the Bible said, "They shall lay hands on the sick; they shall recover." Now, you pray the way you do, and with a promise.
Lord Jesus, they are yours. Receive them into your kingdom. And heal each one with these handkerchiefs, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grant it, Lord. Satan has lost his hold. May the power of Almighty God heal every one.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
