Jehovah-Jireh, part 3

1 Thank you, Brother Borders. You may be seated. Just having some fellowship with Brother Harrel, the chairman of the meeting, and finding out he's a missionary, and we kind of have things in common. He's going back now into the Gold Coast, Africa. And I'm aiming to be there this year. We were trying to get something together about visiting up the Gold Coast after coming from South Africa.
It's where we had, what I think, one of the greatest meetings, in my day, was in South Africa, when we seen thirty thousand blanket natives receive Christ at one time. Amen. They asked them to break their idols on the ground, they really meant it. And they broke their idols, like a dust storm coming up, and accepted Christ as their Saviour, at one meeting. They had a good follow-up there, so they caught them.

2 But the greatest altar call I can remember, of the Lord giving us, was over in India, where we had approximately 500,000 in one meeting. And there we just couldn't estimate; just as far as you could see, it was just everywhere. And all of them accepting Christ as Saviour, but not one thing to follow up with. So therefore, of course, the Sikhs taken theirs, the Jains taken theirs, and so forth. I guess most of them went back, on seeing something the Lord do and produce there.
My ministry that the Lord give me, in America is not too effective, just the Pentecostal people. Most of the American churches are highly intellectual churches, and they believe a creed. And that's just where they stay, you can't move them from it.
But when you take a native and try to tell him something about a creed, he don't even know which is right and left hand. What good does it do to give him a tract? He's got to see something. And when he sees it, then he's convinced. And see his witch doctor raise up and challenge it, and see the Holy Spirit down it right there. Then that shows who is God, and that settles it.

3 And so was very happy meeting Brother Harrel. We was talking about the natives of Africa. And he was talking about sponsoring one of Brother T. L. Osborn's.
Many of you know Brother Osborn, I guess. Oh, there is a precious servant of Christ, Brother Osborn. He's one of my bosom friends. I certainly have a deep reverence in my heart for Brother Osborn, such a great missionary. I believe he's done more in the mission fields than anybody on earth today, that I know of, is Brother Osborn. Very sweet, fine boy, and I certainly love Brother and Sister Osborn.

4 They tell me that Mama Arganbright is in the meeting tonight. Are you hiding from me, Mama Arganbright? I sure appreciate the fine fruit. And no wonder she's such a nice little lady, she come from this part of the country here. She's always talked about Grass Valley. How many knows Mr. and Mrs. Arganbright, around Grass Valley? Well, that's fine. Where you at, Mama Arganbright? I haven't seen you in so long, you slipped... There she is. Bless her heart. Her home is my second home, wonderful woman right here from Grass Valley. And she has always had a burden for this people. And Mother Arganbright, if this is your first night here, I was out the woods praying today when you visited the wife and them. And I'm sorry I wasn't in to get to see you, and to meet your friends.

5 But I'll say that I've seen something happen among your people here that I haven't seen in any American city anywhere. I've seen Christians recognize they're wrong, to the Word of God, and stand and ask for mercy. That sounds to me like a revival could break in here. It would be wonderful. As much as I have preached around the world, and especially in America, I've never seen before, groups of Christians, when the Word was brought down, to show the Word, they raised up and said (witnessed) they were wrong. Not only that, but ministers with them. Now, that's sincerity. I like that.
Sister Arganbright, Ben made you stand up.

6 I'm going to embarrass my wife. She's the most timid person in the world. But she is sitting here tonight. Honey, I believe you'll get even with me for this, but I'm going to ask my wife to stand up. The sweetest woman in all the world to me.
My girl, my daughter, my oldest daughter, Rebekah. Now, honey, I know you're sunburned, but I want you to stand up, anyhow. All right, Rebekah. That's my daughter, Rebekah. Thank you. Thank you.
Brother Jewel Rose, how many knows him? One night he had my wife to come to the platform where I was at, after it had already started, and she like to have fainted. She just dodges him everywhere she could see him. She gets out of his way, because she's afraid he's going to call her to the platform again.
I told her, "One night I'm going to have you to raise up and speak a little while for us."
She said, "Get a bucket of water ready, because I'm going to faint."
She's a very dear person, my wife. If there's any credit to be give to the Branham family, let it go to her. She's the one that stood between me and the public. And all the things that's been done right, she's done it.

7 I hope that every young man here, when he gets married, he'll get a wife, and you'll live as happy together as wife and I have these twenty-two years that we've been married.
"He who has found a wife, has found a good thing." As Solomon said, "A good woman is a jewel in a man's crown. An unrighteous one is water in his blood." And his blood stream is his life. So, an unrighteous one is the worst thing he can get a hold of. And a righteous one is the best thing he can get a hold of, outside of salvation. If God could have give a man a better thing than a wife, He would have give it to him, 'cause God just gives His children the good things. And He gave him a wife, and I'm thankful for it.
And to see the women when I ... kind of cut in the other night with a scripture on the way these Pentecostal women are dressing, wearing their hair, and going. You say, "That don't make any difference." It sure does!

8 I want to ask you something. Brother Harrel's here, a missionary.
At Durban, South Africa, were women standing there as naked as they come into the earth; never had one stitch of clothes, just a small, about four or six inch, clout in front of them. And standing there just as naked as they were, and standing on the ground after this great miraculous miracle had taken place at the platform. And there was in that group, was nearly ten thousand Mohammedans (at one time) accepted Christ in that same meeting. And then in there when... These women, standing up with these men, accepted Christ.
And Brother Bosworth said, "Brother Branham, I believe you ought to make that call again. I believe they meant physical healing."

9 And I said ... 'course fifteen different interpreters, you know it takes... You have to jot down what you've said, time they... You say, "Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to save sinners." And this one will go "blu, blu, blu, blu," and this one "nic, nic, nic, nic," that's "Jesus Christ, the Son of God."
You know, I used to hear people speak in tongues, and I thought, "My, that can't be right." But the Bible said, "There's not a sound without a meaning." Significant. When I heard that, some of them clucks like birds, some squeak like bugs, and everything. But it means a meaning to them, every sound was a meaning.

10 And when it went through again, and I said, "Well, then let those now that really knows that it's not physical healing, it's accepting Christ as Saviour, a heaven to go to, you believe in the Son of God, you accept Him as your personal Saviour, break your idols on the ground!" And they throwed them down. And I said, "Right there now, raise up your hands to that God, and give Him praise. He'll give you the Holy Spirit!"
And while standing on that ground, I seen women that was stark naked; and as soon as Christ struck them, they walked away from that ground with their hands folded. And when you seen them again, they had on clothes.
Now, if Christ will make a heathen (naked) realize that she's wrong being naked, and then women who profess to be Christians and every year stripping more off, I can't understand it. There's something wrong somewhere.
A raw heathen, that's standing there, borned in this world and never knew she was naked, she don't know she's naked. But let Christ come in her presence, she realized that she's naked, insomuch to try to cover herself as much as she can, to fold her arms and walk away. Two or three days later, you'll find her again, she's dressed.
Now there is something wrong somewhere, and I'm sure it is not with Christ. Oh, I think the Word is perfect!

11 I just love Abraham's journey. Don't you? I'm staying with it a long time, I hope I get to Jehovah-Jireh tonight. I took the text three or four nights ago, and never got to it.
But one year at home I took a subject, preaching on Job. Well, about almost a year I was in the book of Job, every Sunday and Wednesday, on Job. And finally I got him up till he sat on the ash heap. I had him there about three or four weeks. And one precious sister with enough courage to write me, she said, "Brother Branham, when you ever going to get Job off the ash heap?"
Well, I guess you're wondering when I'm ever going to get Abraham up to see Jehovah-jireh.

12 But I had a point. Abraham ... or, Job sitting there on the ash heap, Elihu speaking. God trying His saint. Brought it all in till I got to this spot to where I could make the killing shot, got everything ready. Then the Lord came down in this whirlwind, and lightnings begin to flash, and thunders roar. The Spirit of God come upon the prophet, he stayed up on his feet, said, "I know my redeemer liveth. [Watch, redeemer]. And at the last days He shall stand upon the earth. And though after the skin worms destroys this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God; whom I shall see for myself, my eyes shall behold, and not another." Oh, what a lesson there! To drive that in, it taken a while to get the people all situated, the Spirit just right, then drive it. And then the altar was lined and filled with people, repenting.

13 Just if you're led by the Spirit, just take your time until you got zeroed in. If you don't, you'll shoot too high or shoot too wide, or something. Let's make it zero, the Bible! I believe that God wants us to zero in. The Holy Spirit zeroed in with the apostles, or they zeroed in with the Holy Spirit, rather. And I believe we can do the same thing, by the same Word. It's hit the target! And if it hit it one time, dead center, it can hit it again! But you got to zero in! Be sure your breathing, your pulling, everything is just right. I shoot targets; I know what it is, lay in a match, and a rifle that will zero.

14 One time I sent a little model .75 back to the Winchester Company, one day. And I couldn't make it hit over about a three ... or a quarter of an inch, at fifty yards. And the Winchester company sent it back to me, said, "Reverend Branham, that gun is only made to group a five-shot group, an inch at twenty-five yards." Now that was the company that made it. I knowed different. I'd just drove, on the line, precision, nine straight, carpet tacks, at fifty yards, with it. So I knowed it would zero in. So I just kept fooling with it, and fooling with it, till I got it driving back again.
Now, the same thing is by the Word of God. Those things those apostles did, those things that Christ promised, we've got to get zeroed with the Word, with the Spirit. If it did it one time, it'll do it again, because it's God. And God is the Word, and He can't fail.

15 There's some static, a gun be a little too loose this way in the forearm, a little loose or too tight, anything that binds it, you can put the weight of your finger on a rifle, and (it shooting perfect) the weight of your finger will throw it off. You got to have everything perfect.
That's the way you have to do in Christianity, to make the Word, make it manifest and act right, yourself with the Word and with God, it's got to be perfect, and then it will zero. Got to be! So therefore, in preaching, you got to feel the Spirit just right, then zero; away it'll go, it'll drive to the target.

16 Then the people sitting around, many times people say, "Brother Branham, I don't hear about your meetings."
I don't have outlets like the other brothers do. They have magazines, they have radio, television. I just go through and trying to represent the Lord Jesus. The people see it, believe it, they get well. God knows it, that's all that's necessary, see. We don't, we're not... There ain't going to be no history written. Don't worry about that. There's not going to be time for history writing. I believe Jesus is coming. I believe it, and I want to live today like He would come today or tomorrow. Not no great big schools, and so forth. Why do we do those things, and then preach Jesus is coming? Why, our own works testify against us. That's right. Jesus is coming, let's be ... make the church ready for it! Let's get ready. Oh, how I love Him!

17 Let's bow our heads now for a word of prayer. Oh, how I love to see people when they reverently bow their heads. Now let's just sit silent for a little bit, and study. Now we want to take our time. Tomorrow is Sunday, the Sabbath, Christian Sabbath day. And I don't want you late at Sunday school, though we don't want to hurry with these things.
Think now, "Lord, is my desire in my heart tonight according to Your will?" If it is, then to think of it. Then as you think of it, your desire, and check it with God's program. If it seems to be just right with God's program, then I want you to raise up your hand to God, and say, "God, remember me, this is what I have need of." Just think real hard. God bless you. That's good. The Lord bless you. That's good. Just keep on putting up your hand. He sees all, He knows all things. That's good. God bless you. Amen. The Lord bless. That's good. Just keep thinking, putting up your hand. Now I'm watching each hand as it goes up. All right. That's fine.

18 Heavenly Father, we now come, approaching again in that all-sufficient name of the Lord Jesus, up to the throne of mercy. As the poet said, "Let me at the throne of mercy, find a sweet release. God, their hearts are burning for something. And let them now, at the throne of mercy, find the release that God releases to them, the grace sufficient and the faith for what they have need of.
Got both my hands up. I have need. Remember me, Lord.
Remember all these people here that these handkerchiefs represent. Oh, how the testimonies has come in because of these things. Reverence. Way out across these sand hills here, somewhere, sick mothers, fathers, little babies, people in the hospital, old blind daddy sitting back in a room with a white cane in his hand, waiting for the return of these handkerchiefs. God, be merciful. Grant, Lord, that whosoever they are laid upon, may the enemy lose his power and strength, may they go and be healed. Here is one wrote across here, "cancer." Let that devil turn them loose, Lord. May the Holy Spirit, as God looks down through the blood of His own Son that died for this purpose, may the great atonement be sufficient tonight, and faith be flowing abundantly upon them, and they ... or abundantly, that they might receive their healing. Grant it, Lord.

19 Bless Thy Word now. Help Your servant, anoint us for the service. Anoint every heart that hears. And we're just going to speak now, Father. You tell us what to say, and tell us what to do. We're expecting You to be with us in the meeting.
Thank You for the fine songs tonight, those beautiful hymns. This young man back here, Brother Heimer, just sang that wonderful hymn, "The Galilean." May that Galilean stranger walk in now tonight. May we hear His voice say to the troubled mind, like He did the troubled waters, "Peace, be still." And may every troubled heart be at ease. We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

20 And he called the name of the place Jehovah-jireh: as it is written, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
Now we want to start with this great character. And tomorrow... Now, the Lord willing, we're going to try to get to the end about Abraham tonight. And tomorrow, maybe a text on divine healing.
The Lord has been good to us here. We've been hearing testimonies of what the things has happened. And so glad! And we had one night, a complete prayer line, or called them. And there wasn't a feeble one that we seen in the building, wheel chair, anywhere, but what was up, walking around, going.
And now each night the Holy Spirit has come in in His magnificent, august presence, and has went out through the audience, declaring Himself, that He is here. Then, we ought to believe Him. See, He wants you to believe Him. The highest honor that you could pay God is to believe Him. You must believe. "He that cometh to God must believe that He is." And now believe Him!

21 And as I'm taking Abraham, the journey, is just because I'm trying to build faith for a great climax, to let the people see who they are.
That's the trouble. I find two classes of people, as we travel. One of them is Pentecostal, the other is fundamentalist. Now, the fundamentalist positionally know where they are, what they are, but they haven't got any faith with it. The Pentecostal has faith, but don't know who they are. Now, it's just like a man that's got money in the bank, but he don't know how to write a check; and the other one can write a check, and hasn't got no money in the bank. If you could just ever get them together, something would happen. If you ever get Pentecostal faith and fundamental doctrine, if you could ever ... or either get fundamental doctrine and Pentecostal faith, something is going to take place. That's right.

22 Now, how I would like to give a testimony here, where I seen, a Lutheran school, four hundred receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit while speaking to them upon it. Oh, my, it was a glorious sight. To let them know that, 'Cause they're Lutherans, they're not counted out.
There's nothing against the Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, ever what you are, Catholic. I'm not against those things. I'm not against those people. It's the system that holds them, is what I speak against. Nothing against the individual, they're all human beings which Christ died for; Catholic, Jew, whatever he may be. It's the system. Like the Mohammedan, Sikh, Jain, or whatever it might be, it's the system. Buddha is a system, see. Not the people that worships Buddha; it's the system that draws them off.
That's the same thing. Jesus wasn't against the people, He died for them, but those systems that was keeping Him away, keeping them away from Him. That's the thing now.

23 Now I thought, in taking Abraham, knowing that it was to Abraham the promise was given, and Abraham's seed after him. Now let's journey back a little bit and get a background, and come tonight straight to the text now for a little while.
And prayer cards will be given to anybody that wants to be prayed for. And, if you don't get them all tonight, we'll get them tomorrow. And anybody that wants to be prayed for must have a prayer card. And be here at one-thirty tomorrow, to pick up your prayer card, because we won't disturb the meeting then and we'll pray for every person that holds a prayer card tomorrow. We been trying, through the nights, to get those who did not have prayer cards, so that those who have prayer cards will have the privilege of being in the prayer line. And the others are called out there, without prayer cards. That gets both, both sides. The prayer card means nothing. But you give a person a prayer card, there's about forty percent healed right then, you think coming through the line; something you can hold, something you can look at, or something. And the boy will be giving out the prayer cards tomorrow at one-thirty, so they can be away by two o'clock, so the rest of the exercises of the day can be taken.

24 And you who want the pictures, the books, or tapes, must be got tonight. No selling on Sunday; we never permit that, to sell them. We respect Sunday, don't sell at all on Sunday. And these books and things, they're nothing to me, they are books that people has written about my ministry. Pictures that the American Photographer Association took the picture, and it belongs to the Douglas Studios, copyrighted. The books belongs to Brother Gordon Lindsay and Chaplain Julius Stadsklev. We buy them and bring them to the meeting, and sell them almost at what we get them for, and lose on them. And we always said this, if any ... I've told the people that sell books, "If a man or a woman comes up there, poor person, hasn't got the money to buy that book; give it to them, anyhow. And we'll ... I'll see that it's taken care of." And if you got the book and it isn't worth what it's supposed to be, bring it back. There'll never be one return of nothing but give you your money back, see. It's just something to help your faith. That's all we're trying to do it for, or we wouldn't permit it to be here. That's exactly right. So now tonight, remember, they will be at the book stand. A good friend of mine, Mr. and Mrs. Wood. Wish I had time to tell you their testimony, of how their son was healed of polio. And many other things that has taken place, of people who is here in the meetings.

25 Now let's background Abraham. First, God met Abraham, unconditionally, covenant He made with Abraham. Not anything at all; Abraham had nothing to do but believe God. The covenant was purely by grace, and unconditional. Not "if you will"; God said, "I have!" And now every man...
Remember, all Abraham's seed that ever come to God, comes the same way. Not nothing you could do! You could not save yourself no more than you could take your boot straps and jump over the moon. You cannot save yourself. No man ever sought God; it's God seeking man. "You never chose Me," said Jesus, "I chose you." The first...

26 Could you go out here and tell a pig that he's wrong, eating slop? He'd tell you to attend to your own business. But it would have to take something that could change his nature, to make him realize that he's wrong. Something has to happen to the pig, first.
That's the reason that so-called Christians many times wallow in the mud, back in sin, is because... You could wash a pig, and paint their fingernails, put on lip manicure. That's wrong, ever what it is. Lip rouge, isn't it, or something? I get all that stuff mixed up. You know what it is, though. You put the old sow on some lip rouge and, you know, do all the other works to it, and she'll go right straight to the wallow, and wallow again. Why? She's a hog, to begin with. The only way you'll ever make her any different, is change her nature.
That's the only way that a man or woman can ever line up with God, is change the nature, clean up, die to the old man's sin, and be reborned again by the Spirit of God. And, that is, Christ is the Spirit of God, and Christ is the Word. Then it witnesses with the Word. That's the only way they'll ever do it.

27 Now, Abraham was looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. And today we are pilgrims, strangers, looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. Look! Abraham, before he had ever known, there was something like an instinct in him, that he looked at the city.
Today, passing down with the wife, I was saying, "A lovely little place here sitting on the hill, maybe three hundred years ago; beautiful woods, great high timbers. Men come in and cut them down, polluting the streams. It would be a beautiful place to live here." But you look, he built houses. Then they begin to multiply. Sin and violence begin to come in. Hollywood moved in close to him, brought it in by movie, by television. By... And now it's a contaminated, sinful, every city!
And surely, as people, something's in them likes to live together, to neighbors, and be righteous. There is surely a city somewhere! The deep calling to the deep again!

28 And Abraham saw the cities of his day, Ur of Chaldea. And he knew that because there was something in him calling, there was a city that was different, whose builder and maker was God. And God seen that in Abraham, told him, "Separate yourself now, come on out."
Now, Abraham, one thing I want you to notice, he obeyed God's Word to the letter.
Always remember that! That's my message. You must obey the Word. And anything contrary to it, leave it alone. It may look good, but don't reason against God's Word.
That's the first thing Satan did, was reason against God's Word, to Eve. And she never doubted it, she just reasoned. Satan reasoned it.
And that's the way they do today. "Isn't it reasonable that we should do this? Isn't it reasonable?" If it's against God's Word, leave it alone! It's the voice of Satan.

29 Let the Word, if the Word is in you... "If ye abide in Me, and My Word in you, then ask what you will." The Holy Spirit! "Ye abide in Me, My Word in you," that's the Word made flesh, "ask what you will and it'll be done." That's the way. Get all creeds, all things away, and hold to the Word because it is Christ. Notice, then it will manifest itself.
Someone said, "Brother Branham, how do you know those things. How?"
These what you see here in the meeting is amateur things. Anybody that travels with the meetings here, know. The Holy Spirit reveals things that comes weeks and months between time. And ask anybody if it ever failed one time. It can't fail, see. "How do you know?" Because it's a promise of the Word, and the hour is here. It's got to come to pass. Now, I don't know, there'll be a very few, a minority will believe it, but it's got to go forth just the same. And did you ever notice, it goes right over the people's head, and it's past and done before they recognize it. Always that way.

30 To you Catholic people, you know what your church done? Because Joan of Arc was a real saint of God, done miracles of God, prophesied of God. And you called her a witch, and burned her to a stake; and her screaming for mercy, and you burned her to a stake. Hundreds of years later, you realized you was wrong, then you made a saint out of her. She passed right over you, and you didn't know her.
Elijah passed through, they didn't know him. "An old quack!"
Christ passed through, they didn't know him till after His death, burial, and resurrection. God sets that. And it absolutely pulls the wool over the eyes of the unbeliever. And showed... He said, "I hid it from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and reveal it to babes such as will learn." Christ thanked God for doing it, see.
Humble yourself. Believe it. Test the Word.
Jesus said, "Search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life, and they are they that testify of me. You ought to have knowed the hour." Said, told the Pharisees, "You hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky; but the signs of the time, you can't discern. For if you would've knowed me, you would have knowed my day." Passed right over them, didn't know it till it was done gone. Notice now the Word being so important!

31 And notice another, while we're on it, Lot. Jesus said, Himself, "Remember Lot's wife." If the Word isn't so important, if reasoning is all right; when that angel said to Lot and his family, "Go to Zoar, but don't look back!" And Lot's wife, on a little insignificant thing as to turn and look back, but it was contrary to the Word, she turned to a pillar of salt.
Then you say, "Telling women about cutting their hair, wearing clothes...?" God said don't do it! You follow the Word. Lot had, no doubt, a nice wife, but she didn't follow the commandment to the word. Lot! Eve was a good woman, but she didn't follow the commandment to the word; just reasoned a little with it.

32 "Isn't it reasonable, Brother Branham, that we should do this? I'm an American citizen, I have a right to do whatever I want to. That's my American privilege." It's your American privilege, but not your Christian privilege. For, by Christian, you are a sheep; and a sheep forfeits its rights. It lays still and lets you take away from it all the rights it has. But a goat will kick up a storm about it. That's right. But a sheep forfeits its rights. And a Christian always forfeits your national rights if it's contrary to your Christian rights.
Lot's wife merely looked back, [Brother Branham snaps his finger.] that was it! Now what did that do? It tells us here in Abraham, and Lot, that the thing that they set forth there, an example. And we cannot get away from it.
Hebrews, the 11th chapter, said, "These things was for our examples. Seeing that we're compassed about with such a great cloud of witnesses. We are to lay aside every sin." What is sin? Unbelief! "Every sin, every unbelief of God's Word, that does so easily beset us."

33 We come up against something, say, "Well, they teach that, that, that was..." Don't you do that! You do just what God said do. Stay with it, to the letter!
Say, "It don't make any difference."
All right, the only thing I can say is what the Word says. And Jesus strictly said that, "Remember Lot's wife." She merely looked over her shoulder. Eve merely stopped for a moment. That's all she done. Lot's wife just looked back. And if God turned that righteous man, Lot, his wife to a pillar of salt, by just a little bitty thing, just disobeying his commandments enough to just look back and see what all that fire was about, and she turned to a pillar of salt, and stands there yet today as an example that God means what He says.
Oh, if real faith could anchor into people! "Faith cometh by hearing, hearing the Word of God."

34 Eve stopped for a moment. That's all she had to do. Satan had her caught, and just reasoned it with her. "Isn't it reasonable? If Sister So-and-so can do that, can't you do it, too? She's the pastor's wife." I don't care who she is, or who he is. If it's contrary to the Word, don't you listen to it. Go straight on! Examples!
That's the way Abraham did. How much reasoning do you think the medical science could have give him, of that day, that he wasn't going to have that baby? And what about when he was seventy-five? Then we find him when he was a hundred, he still believed it stronger than he did the first place, had twenty-five years to keep building more faith onto it. I like that. Yes, sir.

35 Then I want to bring your attention to something else before we get up. Did you notice? I hope that you got it. On that covenant being confirmed, by writing that covenant and tearing it apart, did you get it? Raise your hands if you did, you got what it meant. Covenant wrote out, tore, God taking the manifestation of trinity, making it into one; tearing it apart, taking the body up on high, and sending back the Holy Spirit to live in the church, to produce the same thing that that body produced, as a wife, bride; same Spirit, same works, same doctrine, everything just exactly the way He had it, same sign, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever." Notice!
There might be, peradventure, a Jew sitting here.
See, God does those things, and it goes right on among the people and yet they don't get it.
Like I was explaining about why women veil their face when they get married. Why? They may not understand that. But what they are doing, is, knowing that they are a body, they have no head, the man is their head. That's the reason Rebekah veiled herself. And that's why the church ought to veil itself and surrender itself to Christ, because He is the head, and He is the Word.

36 Now, the Jews, the Yom Kippur, when they take the communion, or the Passover, anyone knows, that's a Jew, and knows that under the lid is a broken piece of kosher. And there's not a Jew that I know of, that I ever talked to, can explain why that broken piece of kosher. Why, here it is in the confirmation of the covenant, the broken body of Christ, when He broke God from man; He was both God and man. And when He took the Spirit up... And Jesus said, listen, "At that day you will know that I am in the Father, the Father in Me; I in you, and you in Me." It's God in His people! The same God!
He represented there, where we talked on last night. God came down, capital L-o-r-d, Jehovah-jireh, Jehovah-rapha, Jehovah-manasseh, Elohim, the all-sufficient one, the strong one, the breasted-one, all of His titles and everything, manifested in a human body that ate human food, and vanished out of their sight. God!

37 And Jesus, when He come, He said, "As it was in that day, so will it be." God!
That's the broken kosher underneath the cover, the broken piece; not what they take, but what's broke. Why don't they understand it?
The same way when Jesus picked up the parchments and begin to read. He read part of the verse, and left it off, the rest of it, because it was just for Him for that day. The rest of the verse pertains to His second coming.
That's the reason the Jews don't understand that, because they had to be blinded. They didn't see their Messiah, and yet He was there. And each time they take their Passover, there is the broken kosher again, and not knowing it.
I asked a rabbi. He said, "We are taught to do that."
I said, "Why do you do it?"
He said, "I don't know. Nobody else knows."
See, a woman veils her face, yet she don't realize. Instead of coming in and let her husband be her head, she's head of the husband. That's perversion. Now that's the American attitude.
But that's it, broken kosher. Then again we notice, again I want you to note, in backgrounding now before we get down to the real part that we want to speak on tonight.

38 Last night we remember that when Abraham, the covenant was made with Abraham and his seed after him. Now, there was a natural seed of Abraham, by the act of faith produced that; but the real seed of Abraham was Christ, the Bible ... which was the royal seed of Abraham. Now notice.
Abraham, before the destruction of fire in his day, there was a sign done to Abraham, His elected group. And that was, God came down in a form of a man, turning His back to the tent from where Sarah was, and told what Sarah was saying in the tent. And Jesus come around and said the same thing would be at the end of the age. Now, that was Abraham.
Then his natural seed, when Messiah cometh. And Simon came to Jesus, and He told him his name was Simon, and he was the son of Jonas, knowing the secret of his heart. Told Philip ... or Nathanael, that Philip got, "I saw you when you were under the tree." Told the woman at the well, "You have five husbands." And she said, "Sir, I perceive You're a prophet." See, the end of the natural seed of Abraham got that sign.
And it was predicted by the royal seed Himself, Christ, that the royal seed, at the end of their days, would get the same thing. Now I hope we get it.

39 Changed him. Notice, God changed Abraham's name. I better leave off of that. When I come back for a long revival, we'll go into that. He had to change the name from his earthly name, to a name given by God.
You say, "What is a man's name to us, anything?" Oh, brother, if you only knew! Why, some of these modern names we got! I don't want to call them, 'cause it'll hurt your feelings. But God has names that it means things, it changes the whole course. Oh, you say, "Nonsense!"
What about Jacob? Before he become a prince before God, he had to have his name changed from Jacob to Israel. Is that right? Sure. Paul; Saul had to have his name changed to Paul. Oh, how many could we call, and saying that God changed their name! Abram to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, changing their name. Oh, my! What a blessing, to get in some little church with an elected group, and go to teaching that, see the hallelujahs in the heart, when you see what God does.

40 Now, last night I was explaining on "between the line" and "confirming it." I want to just hit it again before I go into the text. That, God changed Abraham from an old wrinkled man, him and Sarah, back to a young couple, changed their physical being before they could receive the promised son. The last sign they got was the manifestation of God in flesh, could read the heart of a woman behind Him, in the tent. And the next thing was that their bodies were changed. Now, last night I was getting late, and I could feel some wondering about that. I want to still bring it a little closer.
Now, the proof of it was that, when they both took that long journey, they were absolutely had been changed. And the Bible said, "They were both well stricken in years. And Abraham's body was as good as dead, and Sarah's womb was dead." Was that right? We know they were dead, but God changed them. Now to prove it to you, that He did it. First, why would that Philistine (or not a...), yes, I believe it was a Philistine king, fall in love with Sarah, an old woman? And she was fair to look upon.

41 Another thing. When Isaac was born, and Sarah and Abraham well stricken in age, ready to die, then they lived up, and Isaac got married when he was forty years old; Sarah died. And Abraham married a woman, Keturah, and had six sons, I believe it was, besides the daughters, after that; and here, sixty years ago, he was as good as dead! K-e-t-u-r-a-h, Keturah. He married Keturah, fifty or sixty years after that, and had six sons besides his daughters; and sixty years before, he was as good as dead. Hallelujah! There you are! The promise of God is sure. Amen. Oh, I love it!
Just to get to yourself and read! Today, back in the woods, reading, I got a little something I want to explain.

42 Israel. The people of God one day was down in Egypt, sold into bondage, and they couldn't help being there. God's great predestinated plan sent them there. He had told Abraham they would sojourn in a strange land for four hundred years. And there they become like the rest of the people, and they were slaves. If the Egyptian man wanted to ravish the young Hebrew girls, nothing could be said. If they wanted to kill their young men, they killed them, nothing could be said. They were slaves. They throwed them out their molded bread. They eat it, or do without; complain, killed! What a place for the people of God!

43 But one day, hallelujah, God remembered His promise to Abraham. Glory! Now I'm beginning to feel religious again. Notice, God remembered His promise to Abraham. And he anointed a prophet, with a pillar of fire over him, and he come down into the land and begin to remind them of the promise of God that couldn't fail. And God was present to vindicate His Word. Right, he told them of a land that was flowing with milk and honey, God had given it to them. They marched out of Egypt on the strength of the testimony of this prophet with the pillar of fire over him, because he was sent. And God had proved He was with him.

44 Now when they came to a place called Kadesh-barnea. That was one time the judgment seat of the world, Kadesh-barnea. And there they had a warrior among them, by the name of Joshua. And the word "Joshua," in Hebrew, means "Jehovah-saviour." And Joshua, the great warrior... Now remember, they had never seen this land, they had only heard about it. You see the type now? Only they had heard of the land. They had forsaken all to go to this land, because the Word of the Lord had been brought to them, and confirmed that they were on their road to this land. What a type of the church, on their road, knowing nothing about it, none of them had ever been over there. But Joshua, when they got close to the border, at Kadesh, the judgment seat, where judgment struck Israel, from one who had been over and come back and Joshua crossed over the Jordan over into the promised land, and brought back the evidence that it was just exactly what God said it was. And they could taste of the grapes that was grown in that blessful land.

45 Now, they had been promised that they could have a home where they could be free, they could raise their children in decency and godly fear, have church, and so forth. How happy they were to cross over that land and get this home, from being slaves. Notice. But when they crossed over, lived their lives, it was a great thing. But finally the hillsides become plastered with tombstones. They got old and died, old and died, God's people.
Then one day there come another great warrior, the greatest of all of them, Jehovah-saviour, Jesu', He came, and He said, "There's life beyond death! For, in My Father's house are many mansions. If it wasn't so, I would have told you. I'll go and prepare a place, and return again to receive you unto Myself." And this great warrior came to His Kadesh-barnea, the judgment seat for all of us, Calvary! There He took upon Him the iniquity of us all. And He crossed the river Jordan that we call death. And on the third day He rose again, like Joshua coming back across the river, bringing the evidence that "a man that dies can live again."

46 And He said, to make it assure to you, "I want you to go up there to the city of Jerusalem, and wait there. I'm going to give you an earnest of it. I'm going to give you the evidence, the down payment." And they went up to the city of Jerusalem and waited until eternal life came like a rushing mighty wind.
And today, after two thousand years, we still have that evidence that we have passed from death unto life. Our Joshua has brought back the evidence, and we're on our way to that promised land, tasting of the heavenly gifts of God that He has brought back to us. Notice it, how wonderful! Look where you once was. Drunkard...

47 I met a brother today; had a strange feeling to turn a certain street, and go a way. I forget what the man's name was. He may be here in the meeting. Yet, if he isn't, why, God was good to him. He's an Indian, part Indian. He's from Virginia. The Holy Spirit said to me, not telling it. I had let my wife out. Said, "Go down this way, and turn this corner." I went down there. Oh, it happens all the time. "Wait right here." Then I waited there a few minutes. Said, "Turn and go back up this way." And, when I did, I met him.
He said, "Brother Branham, I know you." Said, "I come to Jeffersonville one time, to find you." And said, "You was overseas." But he had been a drunk, in his life. I took a hold of his hand, him not knowing what I was doing. And he had cirrhosis of the liver. While I was standing there holding his hand, the vibration left him. What? He was healed. Right there on the street corner, today here in your city.

48 I don't know who the man... Is he here? I don't know. If he is, he... I don't know. He said he wanted to go back home. I think he had to go. He was an Indian man, I think he had married a white woman. And he was from Virginia. And I forget what his name is. He lives down here around Lodi or something like that. And he had been all the way to Jeffersonville. But he had the feeling to walk up on the corner; the Holy Spirit said, "Go down this way." O God, have mercy! There you are.
I could take hours after hours, of telling you things that I've seen happen and done like that. Why? Jesus, our great warrior, went over and conquered the land, conquered death, conquered hell, conquered the grave, rose up on the third day, and said, "I am He that was dead, and alive again forevermore, and have the keys of death and hell." There's the conqueror, since He rent the veil in two. There He stands!

49 Like an old colored sister. Excuse me, my colored friends in here. She was giving a testimony in the meeting, and she was very southern in her talk. She said, "Well, I want to tell you all something tonight." She said, "I sure ain't what I ought to be." And she said, "I sure ain't what I want to be. But one thing I do know, I ain't what I used to be." So she had come somewhere!
And I say, that's it tonight! One time we were lost in sin. And today, by accepting the evidence, the returned promise (the down payment on our eternal salvation), we have raised from death unto life, and living above it. What will it be when we get the full payment, and cross over the river, ourself, into that glorious land?

50 Great testing! Now Abraham, after all these wonderful things, he was tested after he received the blessing. Abraham was tested.
Now there's where people fail. Now, listen real close now, don't miss it. The Bible said, that "Every son that cometh to God must be chastened, chastised, whipped. And if we cannot stand the chastisement, we become bastard children, and not the children of God." It proves what our faith wasn't what we said it was, we haven't got what we profess to have. Now we're getting down into some real good Calvinism now, so we have to watch that. Now notice, "Every son that cometh to God must be chastened, chastised," the Word whip him and cut him to pieces, knock every creed out from under him; see, tried, and see if he is a son of God.
Now Abraham, after he received the blessing, was then afterwards tested.

51 Where does that time go to? I haven't even got to my text, and it's time to close. Will you bear with me another fifteen minutes? Thank you. Be reverent. (Abraham. Look at Noah.) Let's take it just for a moment. We can't hurry; there's no need. My, what are we hurrying about? I'm just slow. I ain't like some of these fellows who can think ... they just believe it right off like that. I'm slow, I have to wait till He gives it to me.
Look at Noah, after God had him to preach 120 years, right in the midst of a greater scientific world than we got today. Well, sure, they built pyramids. We couldn't build them. They built a sphinx. We couldn't build it. They embalmed bodies to make them look natural yet today we can't do it. They had dye that they could put in things, that the coloring for four thousand years would never change. We haven't got it. And it showed they had a civilization like this. Jesus said, "As it was in the days of Noah." And Noah, in that scientific world, a-preaching, "A rain going to fall from heaven, because the Word of God said so!" Noah was a prophet.

52 And when you see prophets rising, you better watch, judgment is on its road.
So then Noah preaching, and the people turning it down, laughed in his face. I can imagine some of them said, "That don't meet our scientific approval." Huh!
I imagine, the same thing like it is today. They say that, "Shouting and praising God and crying, and this here so-called holy-roller life and things, it's all emotional work-up." It don't meet their scientific approval, but it meets God's Bible. That's the main thing. Notice.
I imagine science come out and said, "Look, feller. Look, you're kind of off at the head. Look here. We got radar, we can shoot the moon or send a Sputnik up there. There's not one drop of water between here and there. Now where is it coming from?"
I can hear Noah say, "God said so! And if God said it was so, He's Jehovah-jireh, He can provide water up there. God said so! It's going to happen, anyhow!" Someone said...

53 You take a man dying with a cancer, a shadow of a man, here he is; next year he is a good healthy man. How did it happen? Laid him back... I have hundreds of those testimonies. A man done gone out of this life, and the doctor signed a statement, "He's dead, been dead for hours after hours." And God give a vision, and he's living now. How? Don't ask me. I don't know. But God said, "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils." That's right.
Whenever you're sick and God pronounces healing, you just go on around to your doctor, let him tell you when you're well. He'll give you... That will give a testimony to him. When he says, "Well, it's all gone," say, "Praise God! Thank you, doctor, for your service," and keep going. That's right.

54 Notice.
Now Noah, he said, "There's coming a rain, the whole world, going to wash you wicked people out."
"Ah, nonsense! We got our churches. Our pastor don't say nothing like that. The old man is off at his head, building away on an ark up there. You think anybody'll believe it?"
One day, God said, "I have heard their scoffing enough. I am ready now. Go in!" And here come the animals, two by two, the male and female parrot, the male and female sparrow, the male and female goat, male and female sheep, lions, tigers, all that's breathing breath upon the earth, entered into the ark.
Noah said, "That's your last sign!"
And they wouldn't believe it. "Go on up and live with your stinking animals."
There he was, Noah obeying God. No matter what the world said, he listened to God; he was a prophet. He entered into the ark, and God closed the door behind him.

55 Now I can imagine, some of the borderline believers, that sat around and listened to Noah's message, and set off a piece, you know, they said, "You know what, that old man might have been right. Let's go up and stand around. He said, 'It's going to start raining when that door shuts.' God told him He would shut the door, it was going to rain. Let's go up and stand around. And if it does start raining, we'll knock on the door. Because he's a kindhearted old man, he'll open the door."
You see, sometimes you're looking at the messenger instead of the message. God shut the door. No matter how kindhearted Noah was, it was God that done the shutting and opening, whatever He wants.

56 "Brother Branham, there's a man sitting down here on the corner. Go down and heal him, we'll believe in divine healing." That's a devil.
The same one said, when they put a rag around His face and hit him on top of the head, in the course he said, "If you be a prophet, tell us who hit you now. We'll believe it." He don't clown for nobody. "If thou be the son of God, turn these stones into bread. If thou be!" He could have done it, but He don't clown for nobody. "If thou be the son of God, come down off the cross." The clergy was saying that, see. He didn't clown for nobody.
He done just as the father showed Him, and nothing else. That's what He said, St. John 5:19, "The Son can do nothing in Himself, only what He sees the Father doing." There you are.

57 Notice.
"We'll go up and stand around the ark, and if it starts raining..."
I imagine Noah said... He got in the first layer, climbed up to the next layer (the birds) from the creeping things, up to the next office. From justification, up to sanctification (the birds), then he went from that on into the baptism of the Holy Ghost; where the window was, where the light could come in. "Got up in the heavenlies, sat down." Said, "All right, family, you that's come in here with me, in the morning... It's getting late this afternoon now. Now God closed the door down there. In the morning, there will be darkness all over the earth. In the morning, the rains will go to falling and the ark will float away, and God will diminish every one of those cruel sinners that's disbelieved the message." All of them waiting.

58 The next morning, got up, looked out, pretty and bright. He went in the ark, how many knows what day he went in on? The 17th day of May, when Noah was six hundred years old. The 17th day of May, the Bible said so. And when he went in, the 17th day passed, the sun come up just as hot as it ever was.
I'd imagine them, borderline, saying, "Ah! I told you there wasn't nothing to it! What are you all hanging around up there for? Get away from such a quack!"
"Well, I guess that was right."
But, you see, there is a dividing line that's drawn between belief and unbelief. And you either come one side or the other. And there's a time when you receive your last call.
So, the second day, what a disappointment that was to Noah and his church, when he told them God is going to destroy the world. But you know how long he sat it out? Seven days, nothing happened. Testing!

59 Then on the eighth day, there was darkness all over the earth, great big drops begin to fall from the sky, the water begin to pour, the fountains was broke up. The streets filled up with water. People knocked at the door but Noah couldn't even hear them. And she floated above the highest hill, and all without the ark perished.
God testing Noah, to see if he would try to climb out the window, or something. After He had already made the promise, Noah sat it out!
That's it! When you've got the promise, and you know it's a promise, stay with it! Abraham had to be tested. Stay with the promise!
Now, they got their last sign. Then their body was changed. And immediately little Isaac appeared on the scene, lovely little Jewish boy. I'd imagine after his eight days he was circumcised. How that young mother, hundred years old... How that Abraham, hundred years old; or her ninety, and him a hundred; how they must have been about, around in their twenties, rejoicing. This young little fellow, how sweet he was!

60 And you know, God said, "Now to make the people in days to come (the seed of Abraham) know, your seed know that I keep my promise to any man that will hold onto my Word, I'm going to give him a test."
When the little boy got about fourteen years old. I imagine, little shaggy hair and pretty little eyes. Oh, how that happy father and mother! You know how you parents are with your child, only child. Then God said to Abraham... Now, He wouldn't tell it to Sarah, because Sarah was the weaker vessel. And so He said, "Abraham, I want you to take this little boy that I give you, the one that I'm going to make you a father of many nations by, and I want you to take him up on the mountain that I'm going to show you tonight in a vision, and there kill him." Destroy the only hope that there was for him to be a father of nations, for God to keep His Word; God said, "I'll make you a father of nations." He's waited now all these years, till he's a hundred years old, hundred and fourteen years old. "And here's the little boy now, and the only evidence that you've got that I will keep My word, you go up and destroy it. I'm still going to make you a father of nations by this child."

61 And Abraham, said, "He staggered not at the promise of God. He knowed that he received him as one from the dead. Knowed, if God promised so, He could raise him up from the dead.
And then we're the seed of Abraham? And one little theological error can bust in the way, to be popular with the rest of the men and women, you go to it instead of staying with the Word. Shame on you! Some big organization, what does that mean to God? He'll sweep it off like that! [Brother Branham snaps his fingers.] He's away from it, has been since they organized, every one of them, and always will be. Not the individuals in there, but the organizational system, it's against God. Every church that's organized is the mother ... or a daughter of the Catholic organization. The Bible said so, Revelation 17, "The old whore, and her harlot daughters." Exactly right.

62 We've got her sitting right here now over our nation. Shame on you fine Democrats that sold your birthrights out! All right, we'll leave that go, till I come back. Notice. I'm running late. Don't your Christ mean more to you than your politics? You ought to do what Abraham Lincoln said. All right. Notice, on we go.
Now God said, "You take the little fellow, take him up there at the top of the mountain."
Now you want to know whether Abraham was a young man or not? He went three-days journey with the child, with the wood, with the servant, and the donkey. Now any man, ordinary man... I used to patrol power lines, used to walk when I was game warden; and I can walk, easy, thirty miles a day. And we got gasoline feet, we call it. But them men, their only transportation was by foot, or riding a donkey. And here they was with a little slow donkey; if we can out-walk him. And here he was, three-days' journey, and then lifted up his head and saw the mountain far off, yet. He must have been around a hundred miles from civilization, way back in the desert. Now listen, and notice.

63 Then he took the wood and put it on Isaac's back; the cross, God's Son years later. And Isaac packed the wood up the hill, that he was going to lay on for a sacrifice. Foreshadowing!
If God foreshadowed that to a dot; Lot's wife, don't you turn around and look back towards the things of the world. All those types and shadows are perfect, see. Remember Eve. Remember Lot's wife. Remember Lot himself, you men. Remember, Adam give in to his wife; Lot, the same way. Be careful. I'm just telling you, as a brother. It's later than you think.
Notice little Isaac going up the hill. And he got suspicious. And he looked around, and he said, "My father."
And he said, "Here am I, my son."
He said, "Here is the wood. And here is all, everything, the fire. But where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
Listen to that old daddy, without a quiver in his voice, he said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the sacrifice." His only son going to the slaughter, but yet that faithful old heart had knowed that God can't lie.
That's the seed of Abraham today! "How can it be, Brother Branham?" God will provide for Himself! "How is He going to?" I don't know. But He's Jehovah-jireh!

64 Got up to the top of the hill, rolled up the rocks. Put the wood on the rocks, and lit it with the fire. Said, "Isaac, my son, turn around." He took the string from around his waist, and bound his hands and his feet. Isaac, obedient, as Christ was, to death. Laid him up on the block. Reached down in his sheath and pulled out the big knife; honed it a few times, looking up towards the sky.
"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong, knowing that he had received him as one from the dead; fully persuaded that if God said so, for him to do it, He could raise him up from the dead." That's Abraham, that's his seed after him. If that was the natural seed, what ought the royal seed to be? Not staggering! What God says, God will do. Knowing that, he was fully persuaded; that what God had promised, God was able to do.

65 Honed the knife; little Isaac's little dark eyes watching that big sharp blade as it run over the stone. Reached back; throwed back the curls off his face, pulled his little chin back. Raised up, the tears running down his face like that. Knowing, that he staggered not at the promise of God! Raised his hand to plunge the knife into his own son's throat.
And when he did, the voice of God called out, and caught his hand, said, "Abraham, Abraham, stay your hand! I know now that you love me." What was He doing? Giving a testimony to the seed of Abraham, after him. "Stay your hand, don't harm this child! I know that you love me."

66 And about that time, Abraham heard something behind him. And he looked, and there was a ram (that's a male sheep) caught by his horns in the weeds and bushes. And Abraham went and got the ram and killed it, instead of his son.
Where did that ram come from? He was a hundred miles from civilization. Why, the wild beasts would have killed it if it had been back there. Sure, it's a domestic animal. Where did it come from? And, besides, it's way up on top of the mountain, where there's no grass or water. And Abraham picked up rocks all around, where it was, to make the altar. Where did it come from? It wasn't a vision; it bled. A vision don't bleed. Hallelujah! Jehovah-jireh had provided Himself a sacrifice!

67 When God is took at his Word, He is able to provide whatever He has need of. God, Jehovah-jireh, still is Jehovah-jireh tonight! He has a sacrifice already provided. He has a church provided. He has a messenger provided, the Holy Spirit. He's here now, Jehovah-jireh! The Lord has provided Himself a Bible, a Spirit, a church, a message, a messenger. And the hour is here now for the church to be raptured and taken home. Jehovah-jireh will provide the means to take that church out of this world, by transforming these feeble bodies of ours, and take them up into glory. Jehovah-jireh! How will it come to pass in a modern day like we're living in, that these things will be?

68 Billy, my son, wherever he's at, and I, was in India just recently and I picked up a paper. When I got off the ship, thousands was standing there with garlands by the piles. When we got over to the Taj Motel, they had a paper laying there, in English. And I seen a big piece in it, said, "It must be a sign the earthquake is over." What was the matter? Well, about three or four days before the great earthquake that you read about, all the little birds that lived in the rocks...
In India, they don't have fences like we have in California, in United States. They make their fences out of the rocks that they pick up. And the little birds build their nests in it. They make big towers, and birds build their nests in it. And all the little birds, a couple of days before the earthquake come, flew away from the walls. And in the evening time or... In the middle of the day, when it got hot, the sheep and cattle would stand under the shade of the walls and the towers, to keep out of the hot sun.
But for two days, the cattle and the sheep never come to the wall. They stood out in the middle of the field and leaned against one another, for comfort. Then the earthquake come, shook those walls down. And then the little birds begin to return back, the cattle from the field. What was it? The same God that could call the sheep and the cattle, and the birds, into the ark, shows that He is the same God today that can call His animals away.

69 And if He can guide an animal by instinct, how much more ought the church of God to get away from these big man-made walls and doctrines of the church. Babylon is going to fall, some of these days. Jehovah-jireh has provided Himself a resting place for you. Fly away from the towers of the world!
Fly away from the glamour of Hollywood! The churches are trying to mock after them, shine. The gospel don't shine. Hollywood shines; the gospel glows. Hollywood shines with glamour. The big church shines with education. And the church of the living God glows with humility and sweetness, and the Holy Ghost. There's a lot of difference between a glow and a shine.

70 He's here now. Jehovah-jireh has provided for Himself. "God is able of these stones to rise children unto Abraham." If the denominations won't accept it, God can raise children from the streets, prostitutes out of the dens. He can raise up anything He wants to. But if God has provided a message, there is somebody somewhere to receive it. Jehovah-jireh! The Lord will provide for Himself a message. The Lord will provide for Himself a messenger. The Lord will provide for Himself, in His own way, the signs to the church; not joining, putting your names on books.
We hear so much today about decisions, so many decisions. What good does it do to pile up rocks if you haven't got a stone mason there to cut them and shape them out into sons and daughters of God? What good does it do to have big denominations built up by the thousands, if somebody isn't there with a sharp two-edged sword of God to shape them out into real children of God? Might as well leave them out where they are. Amen. God (not Methodist, not Baptist, Catholic), God has provided Himself a knife to shape out children of God, sons of God. Amen. Jehovah-jireh, "the Lord will provide for Himself." And He has! Believe Him, and live.

71 Let's bow our heads just a moment.
Gracious God, the ever-living God, be merciful now unto us, and give unto us Thy grace. We are unworthy, Father, of anything that You would do for us. But we do not confess that we are worthy, but we're only heeding a call from God. We pray, Father, that You will shape us tonight into stones that will fit into the temple of God, for the great coming of the Lord Jesus to His temple. Grant it, Father. Forgive we sinners of our shortcomings. Reveal to us Your Word. Show unto us the way to walk. Teach us, O Father, God. May we receive it. And if it's contrary to the Word, we know that it's the wrong teacher. The Holy Spirit is our teacher. He wrote the Word, and He would not teach anything but the Word. And we pray that He will make it manifest to us this night, in our hearts. Grant it, God.

72 Now with our heads bowed, our eyes closed. The grace of God rest upon us is my humble and sincere prayer. Just believe now. Don't doubt.
Is there any in the building, which I know there is, men and women who doesn't know Him, has never accepted His provided sacrifice, the Lord Jesus, as your Saviour? You do not know Him? You might intellectually think you do. But a man can't see God until he's born again. "See" doesn't mean... You don't see with your eyes; you look with your eyes. "See" is to "understand." You look right at it, and say, "I don't see it," you mean you "don't understand it." You'll never know what we're talking about until you're born again. You've never had that experience? With your heads bowed now, and your eyes closed, would you raise your hand, and say, "Brother Branham, remember me in prayer tonight. I believe that we're receiving our last message. The day is fastly sweeping away. And I see that what you've said in the Bible is true, 'cause I've read the Bible. I believe that it's the hour that we must come now. And, for me, I'm making my stand now for Christ"?

73 God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you, you. Good. Up in the balcony, the hands! Just raise your hand, say, "For me, as Joshua said, 'For me and my house, we'll serve the Lord.'" That's right, someone else? I'm just waiting. God bless you back there. I see your hand. God bless you up there. God bless you. He sees you. Way up in the balcony, God bless you up there, sir; the greatest thing you ever done in your life. Right in the middle balcony, someone raise up your hand there. Maybe I never seen a hand in there, it might... Somebody in the middle balcony up above? Raise your hand, say, "Brother Branham, for me, I want to serve Him. I'm sincere." God bless you. God bless you. God bless the little man. In the balcony to the right, someone raise up your hand there and say, "Brother Branham, me, for me, I know that's right. I don't know God, but I want to know Him. I want to be sure of it. I can't afford to take a chance. I can never come back again."

74 "The way the tree leans, that's the way it falls," the Scripture says. Don't fall in the direction of the wrong way. You can make it right tonight. Remember, as long as there is an eternity, and it never did begin and never will end, but you become part of it, you'll suffer or you'll live in joy. How do you know you're going to live till you get home?
You say, "I'm awful young."
I just got a message a while ago. A young lady back in my state, just turned the roads wrong, started smoking cigarettes. She had been told about God but she wouldn't listen. Sixteen years old, she was coming from her ... no, eighteen years old, just come from a high school education. And was told, trying to do right. But she started off with the wrong bunch, lightning killed her instantly.

75 Just recently, a colored man in Shreveport stood up and said, "There is no such a thing as God." Just blasphemed, said, "They're nothing but a bunch of holy rollers." Lightning killed him. They took him to the grave. And when they was burying that man, there come up a little cloud, and lightning struck the casket and blowed him right out of the casket.
Jehovah God gets angry. I know He is a good God, but He is a God of judgment, too. He still looks, He knows.
If you're without God, raise your hand, say, "Remember me, Brother Branham, as you pray." God bless you, lady. God bless you, son. That's right, somebody else. God bless you. That's right, young man. God bless you back there. Yes, oh thank God.

76 Our heavenly Father, now You see them. You know there's twenty or thirty hands has been up, that they want You for their Saviour. God, grant this just now. I give them this Word. You said, Yourself, "He that heareth my words." I've done the best that I could with it, Lord. "He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent Me, has eternal life, and shall not come into the judgment, but has passed from death to life." What a wonderful thing, to think that! If sincere hearts behind those hands, really meant that, something has happened. Now You said, "He that will confess Me before men, him will I confess before My Father and the holy angels." Let them know that Thou art here, Lord. I pray that You will grant it. Hear us. We are Your servants, Lord. In Jesus' name.

77 All right, raise your heads. You believe He is Jehovah-jireh? Do you believe that we're in the days as it was in the days of Lot? The days of Noah? Remember the last message?
Is there somebody here for the first time? Raise your hands. Many! I guess Brother Borders has explained to you. You've heard of the meeting before, what takes place. Raise your hands, if you have; if you've never seen it, just heard it. All right. Now I'm a stranger to the people here.

78 Some of you people with troubles, pray to God, and say, "God, have mercy on me, I'm sick. Brother Branham doesn't know me. But I heard that You're a high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities." How many knows that? "And He is the same yesterday, today, and forever." You know that? Well, now, if He is the same high priest, how would He act if you touched Him? The same way He did when the woman with the blood issue touched Him. He turned around and told her what her blood issue was, and told her her faith had saved her. Is that right? He is the same one tonight, if you can believe Him the same way that He was then. Do you believe Him that way?
Now you look this a-way, to me. As Peter and John said at the Gate Beautiful, "Look on us." That wasn't look at them for anything, but, look what they was saying.

79 Let's start from over here somewhere. Look this way, and believe with all your heart. And say, "Lord Jesus, I believe You, and I want to touch Your garment. You speak to Brother Branham, and let him know what my trouble is. I'll believe You if You'll do it." Would you do it?
Now here's the daring thing. How would I dare do a thing like that? I'd be something wrong with me to make a challenge like that. I've challenged that before a half a million people, at a time, couldn't even speak their language. But He never let me down. Why? He promised it! This is the last days, and He promised it, and here it is.

80 I know, friends, you've had a lot to hurt you. You've had a lot of carnal impersonations. But just let me say one thing to you, not for my benefit, but for your own benefit. They always had that. But God never has two on the earth at the same time, never did. So just remember, there is a lot of impersonations, but there is a real God. There is a real Holy Spirit. There is a real message of God, and that is that Jesus Christ died for sinners, rose again from the dead, and has returned back in the person of the Holy Ghost, and doing the same work in the church that He did when He was here.

81 Now, don't the Word of God say this? In Hebrews, it said, the 4th chapter, the Bible said that, "The Word of God is sharper, more powerful than a two-edged sword, cutting asunder [that's cutting both coming and going], and even to the marrow of the bone, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Is that right?
"That's the reason Jesus could stand before the audience and tell them. Them Pharisees said, "He's Beelzebub." Jesus turned around. They didn't speak it out loud, but He told them; that's the reason He could tell the woman about her blood issue. Tell the woman she had the husbands; and when she did, that ... He did, "Why, that's the sign of the Messiah."
You see now the returning, the appearing of the Messiah amongst the people. It's the Holy Spirit getting the church ready.

82 I want you to turn your head. See that little woman reaching over there, raising back up, sitting right down here? See that light over her? She's suffering with high blood pressure. That's right. Got a blue dress on, kind of wearing glasses over her face. For the last second, or two, she's been feeling a real strange warm feeling around her. That's right. Now your high blood pressure, that's been bothering you so bad, has left you. Do you accept it? Raise up your hand if you do.
What did she touch? The high priest. Now go, ask the lady. I never saw her in my life. I don't know one thing about the woman; but, that's true. I was watching that light as it moved across this audience, went right over there and hung by that ... a glowing light.

83 Do you believe? Arthritis, bladder trouble, complications, nervous, weakness. That's right. You're not from here. A little place called West Point. That's right. Do you believe God can tell me who you are? Mrs. Hardwick. That's right. If that's right, stand up on your feet. It's left you. Jesus Christ makes you well.
Do you believe? The people are looking backwards for you. Here sits the lady right here. Look, that light's still holding over her. Don't you see that? Here it is. Watch.
There it is, by that man sitting right there looking at me. Arthritis. Believe with all of his heart, God will make you well, sir. We're strangers to one another, but not to God.

84 This lady right back here, suffering with headaches. God, don't let her miss it. O God, please. Mrs. Morton, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. He healed you from them headaches. See, He wouldn't let her pass by. I want to ask you something. Last night when I spoke to somebody in the building about a headache, you had a real funny feeling, and you was wondering whether it was actually you, or not. Isn't that right? Raise up your hand. I'm not reading your mind, but I'm telling you what you've been thinking. That's right. Today you wanted to be sure that it was you. It'll leave you now, your faith has saved you. Hallelujah.

85 Look at this lady sitting here, with a checkered dress on. Have you a prayer card, lady? You don't. Do you believe the rupture will leave you and you'll be made well? You do? Raise up your hand if that's what's wrong with you. All right. Believe with all your heart and be healed. See what the need?
The lady right behind her, raised up her hand, with a little ... no, second back there, with a little green-looking dress on, suffering with heart trouble. Yes. Do you believe that God will made you well? That's fine, dandy. He will if you'll just believe it.
A lady, second one over from you, Mrs. Dillman there. If you believe that God will heal you of that stomach trouble. Mrs. Dillman, believe, and you shall have your stomach. It's a nervous stomach, been with you for a long time, especially since menopause it's been on you. You've had many things to cause you much trouble, but it's all over now. If those things are true, wave your hand at the people, so that they can see. If I'm a stranger to you, keep waving your hand. Jesus Christ makes you well.

86 Do you believe? What is it? Jehovah-jireh, the Lord provides Himself a sacrifice! Now the whole audience becomes kind of like a blur to me. Jehovah-jireh has provided a sacrifice for every one of you. Do you believe it?
Now you here that raised up your hand, come up here and stand here just a minute. Will you do it? Jehovah-jireh has provided a sacrifice. You raised your hand, that you believed it. You've seen here, and know. Impossible... It's something! Just look at these people, how many has been called. I don't know now. Maybe seven, or eight or ten, whatever it was, that's been called. It could just keep on going on. But while I've got enough strength, I want you to come, accept Christ as your Saviour. Will you rise up now and come, while we sing, "I am coming, Lord, coming now to Thee"? Will you raise now and come up here, you that raised your hand a while ago? And stand around the altar here, and show that you're not ashamed of Christ. You're in His presence. Come now, and prove to the people that you really meant it, that you want to be remembered by God, and you accept Him as your Saviour. Come up now, while we all stand and sing.

Come right out now, come right down here. We're going to pray. You'll never be any closer to Him than when you need Him.

87 Come right down out of the balcony. That's right. Come right on down, stand right here. Now, He said, "If you'll confess Me before men, him will I confess before My Father. But if you're ashamed of Me, I'll be ashamed of you," remember, the Bible, from Genesis over to Revelation. Come now, young and old. Will you come? Church member, or not, come now. Will you? Accept Christ while you're in His presence.

88 Listen. Do you believe me to be His prophet? I haven't confessed that before. But I believe, I stand with people who understand and know what I'm trying to get through to you. There's people in here that's professing Christianity, should be right here. Come, won't you? Let me ask you, how are you ever going to? You'll never receive another sign. This is it. "Thus saith the Lord." Would a prophet of God make a statement like that if it wasn't true? You're receiving your greatest sign, and your last sign, before the appearing of Christ. Come! The reason I'm saying these things, I've never said this in any other meeting, I feel that right here is the opportunity here for something to happen. That's why I'm saying the way I am. I believe you understand. You wouldn't go around, make some kind of a cult and say, "Brother Branham is a god," or something like that. You understand what I'm talking about. Come now. Come. Let me persuade you, in the name of Christ. Come!

89 You that don't know where you're standing, and you're not sure about it, just an intellectual, or some kind of an emotional; you've cried, you've wept, or you had some kind of a sensation. Don't you try to get in on that. Remember, I tell you in the name of the Lord, you are lost, miserably lost, and don't know it. Don't take a chance, friends. I'm only sowing seed, and pulling the net. God takes the increase. I don't know.

90 Church member. If I was standing there, and just only had an experience of joining church or something I'd make my way here just as quick as I could.
Remember, the Spirit's giving witness that we're at the end. Science said, "It's three minutes till midnight." The message of the Bible says, "Here it is, the last thing!" The revival is ending, the door is closing. You'll be on the outside, knocking, and can't get in. Come!

92 With our heads bowed now, as we're waiting. O God, let the Holy Spirit move in on these. Those who are wanting to come up close to the altar, these people, come down for a blessing. May the Lord God, grant it. The Spirit of God, is speaking.
Move in, move in. Come close now, everyone. "Every soul, of sin oppressed, there's mercy with the Lord." Come now. "Come plunge beneath the cleansing flood, lose all their guilty stains. There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel's veins." Reverently.

93 Feel that peace over the meeting now? What is it? It's death, death to sinners. Now personal workers move in around with them now. It's death, these people are dying. Bibles are out, they're explaining. Death is going on around the altar, and new life will come after death.

Let the instructing people now move up close. You who haven't got the baptism of the Holy Ghost, move up close now. You don't know what God might do now in a minute. 95 Now you that wants to pray, move up close now and get ready. We're going to believe that God is going to recognize this. He has to! The very God that can discern the thought of the heart! Remember, Jesus only done that one time in a city. But He said, "More than this shall you do." See, proved His Scripture right! Move in now. Let's all pray now for these people that's here. Every person that knows how to pray. How many borned-again Christians is in the building? Raise up your hands. Now let's everyone raise our hands and offer thanks for these people.

96 Our heavenly Father, we offer thanksgiving to You for these people. They are Yours. They've come, to make confession. They come to die out to self and sin. They're going back, new creatures in Christ.
Satan, you've lost the battle! God is Jehovah-jireh! The Lord has provided a sacrifice, provided a people, provided an altar call, provided the message, provided grace. And Satan has lost the battle, in the name of Jesus Christ he's lost the battle!

1 Bow our heads just a moment for prayer.
And he called the name of the place Jehovah-jireh: as it is seen in the mount of the LORD till this day.
Our Heavenly Father, we are grateful tonight to be have this privilege of assembling together in the Name of the Lord Jesus, to worship Him in the Spirit of His resurrection. And we're so grateful to You, for what you have already done for us, by identifying Yourself by the Word among us, and by the resurrection. And our hopes are built so high, Lord, because we know that--that the God we serve is not some historical god, but a present-tense God, the One that's raised from the dead, and has proven to be the God that was with Moses, and with Abraham, and all the apostles, and still the same God. Then our... We join in with Eddie Perronet, as he said, "My hopes is built on nothing less but Jesus Blood and righteous." So, we thank Thee for this great comfort and consolation that we have.
Father, tonight, if there be one here among us, tonight, that doesn't have this great hope, may this be the hour that that one great Eternal Truth will be revealed to them, Father, that they'll know that the reason they're here on earth is not just to--to work. And that's one of the reasons, of course. But the main reason is to become a son or daughter of God. And may that be finished, tonight. Grant it, Lord.
Bless us now as we fellowship around Thy Word. Thy Word is the Truth. And may the great Holy Spirit take the Word of God and divide It to us as we have need, for we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.

2 Thank you for the opportunity to come back again tonight, and to face you fine people again with this glorious Gospel. We have announced that, now, tomorrow morning the Sunday school, the joint and cooperating pastors are having a joint Sunday school right here. I think that's really nice. And many of them has taken the seats out of their churches and brought them here for the people, and it's a certainly a fine loyal deed for the people to do a thing.
We're thankful to God for the good weather that He has give us. They predicted we'd have storms and things, all the time. But He has kept the storms back, and we haven't had one bit of trouble. We're grateful for that.
And now, tonight was given... We been having just regular evangelistic services. And if there's any strangers with us... We haven't stressed too much on--on sinners coming to Christ. And I took a text last Thursday night, and I've never got to it yet. We just talking about Abraham, and we've never got to the text yet, of Jehovah-Jireh. So we are trying to finish that up tonight. And we are trusting that the Lord will save every unsaved person, and fill everyone that's not filled with the Holy Spirit, tonight.
Now think of it real close while we're here. And while we're--while we're talking, open your heart so the Holy Spirit can talk on the inside to you. What are we doing here, anyhow? See? Just think that over. What, what has your life been? What are you here for? Is God... Are you in such a condition that God can get all--all that He put you here for? Out of you? If not, then let's settle that tonight, friends. It's a...
I--I got some friends sticking around here, from my church. Some of the... One of the trustees, I know, and two or three of the brethren. I just recognized a new family setting here, tonight, the Palmer's from over here somewhere, drive several hundred miles every--every Sunday I speak up in Indiana. And Mr. Welsh Evans and his family is here somewhere. I don't know just where. I... Today, I been studying, practically all day long, and I could hear their voices out there on the outside. And I--I knew they were around.

3 Now, tomorrow, tomorrow at two. [Someone says, "Two."] At two o'clock, tomorrow, the entire service tomorrow afternoon is given over to the sick, for the prayer for the sick. Now, many people refer to it as a healing service. Well, we don't exactly like to refer to it like that. Because, let's call it a faith service. So, if our faith can come to that spot, after Him identified among us, and knows everything that's in our heart, and has proved it to us, see, that He is alive, and confirmed it by the Scripture.
Did you notice how He backed up every Word, by His living Presence? [Congregation says, "Amen."] See? See? See? Now, that shows that you don't have to just think we're just trying to say something that's some kind of a mythical something. What this Bible has promised, that's the Truth. See? Now every Word is true.
Now, I may not have faith enough to make every Word of It act, but I certainly wouldn't stand way of anybody that did have that faith. Enoch had faith enough, one day, to take an afternoon stroll with God, and just kept on walking, went up Home without dying. Now, I think the Church has got to come to that, to a Rapturing faith. I may not have that faith just now, but I sure wouldn't stand in the way of somebody that did have that faith.
So, we trust that God will give us great faith, and, tomorrow that there will not be a feeble person left in the building, when they come through for prayer. We'll just believe that. And now if we'll believe it! Now, I've seen that so many times!

4 I've seen the time where twenty-five thousand, just think now, not twenty-five hundred, twenty-five thousand outstanding healings taking place with one prayer: Durban, South Africa. They loaded, I don't know how many big vans, that you... Two of them would fill up this whole thing in here, take what put in there, big British van, six and eight wheels on them, like that, just van after van, coming down, with clubs and wheel chairs, or what they call wheel chairs, little things they pack the sick with. And bring them down through the jungle. And the lion would get after them, they'd shin them up a tree. And then coming on to the meeting. And then to see just... on the platform, a boy.
The first one that come on the platform was a--was a woman. And she was marked Mohammed, with a red dot between her eyes. And I ask her if she spoke English. And she said, "Just a little."
And I said, "I see you're a Mohammedan, Mohammedan."
She said, "Yes."
I said, "What do you come to me, as a Christian? Why don't you go to your priest?"
She said, "I believe that you can help me."
And I said, "Well, I cannot help you, unless, you believe on Jesus Christ."
And she said, "Well, I have seen the services."
Just there three days. We had about, nearly two hundred thousand setting then, at the place. So then they had it fenced off, 'cause they was having tribal wars, too.
And I said, "Well, now, you have to believe on Jesus Christ." And I said, "Did you ever read the--the New Testament?"
She said, "I have."
I said, "What did you think of the Message I just give, about Him being the same yesterday, today, and forever?"
She said, "I believe It."
And I said, "Then if the Lord Jesus was alive today, He's already healed you. As far as His suffering, it's already secured. But He'd have to have faith. And if He was here, He would know who you were. He'd know what you've done. He'd know all about you. You believe that?"
She said, "Yes, sir."
I said, "If He will reveal that, do you believe He, then, He'd be the Son of God, and that raised from the dead, and is ever living here now? His Spirit in Me, and with these other Christians?"
She said, "I believe it."
I said, "What you're here for... Your husband is a short, heavy-set man. He wears a black mustache. Two weeks ago, you was at a doctor. Here is your name." I couldn't write, couldn't say it. I had to spell it. It was a Mohammedan name."
She said, "That's right."
And I said, "Then, and your husband waited in the hall. He was wearing a gray suit and a tan hat." I said, "The doctor was kind of a tall man, thin, wore great horn-shell glasses. He gave you a female examination, and found you had a cyst on the ovary."
She said, "That's the truth."
I said, "You accept Jesus as your Saviour?"
She said, "Jesus Christ be my Saviour."
Next was a little cross-eyed boy.

5 And they'd only just let the missionaries go, get one or two out of each tribe. You couldn't hold them, no way at all. So, they had hundreds and hundreds of the militia trying to hold them, and they couldn't do it.
And so then this little, cross-eyed boy, they set him up on the platform, about the distance of that.
And up on the platform, those great big Calla lilies. You sisters here, that like flowers! Some of those Calla lilies there are eighteen inches across; yellow, white, beautiful. And they had it. They're just wild. Had bouquets setting around.
And I was talking. They set the little boy up. The missionary set him up. And the little fellow was cross-eyed. He just had his dinner.

6 Sometimes their--their diets is very funny. He had... They take a little quill and pluck a cow's veins, in what they call a--a bucket. It's a little sack, sewed together skin, and let the--the blood, hot blood, run in there. Then milk a little milk in it, and churn it, it makes a--a delicious lolli-pop.
You wouldn't want one of them, would you, honey? No.
So that, but, he, that's what he had been eating. And his little eyes were crossed. I said, "Now, anybody can see, will know what's wrong with the child. His eyes is crossed. If I could help that baby," I said, "I'd certainly do it. But I--I can't help it, no more than anybody else." I said, "If a doctor could, why, if he wouldn't do it, then he'd be something severally out of the heart of the doctor, if he could help it." I said, "Don't think they'd have any way of doing at this time."
I said, "But, now, the Lord can reveal to me about the baby. And then, It said, 'The baby, his father and mother is a thin pair.'" That was... She was a Zulu, and they're usually heavy. I said, "This is them setting right out here now. Their name is such-and-such." And I said, then, "The baby was born with cross eyes. Cause, the mother... They come from a... They believe Christian, because on the inside of the little, thatch hut, there's a picture of Christ, hangs to the right-hand side of the wall."
And I said, "And the baby, as soon as the mother showed the baby to the father, it was cross-eyed." The father and mother stood up, to vindicate that was right. I looked back at the little baby, his eyes as straight mine.
So I said, "Now, you see, the Lord," I said, "I haven't been in ten feet of the baby, the baby is healed."
Just passed it on through. And I called for the next one.

7 And then when it did, I heard a commotion. Dr. Bosworth and Dr. Ern Baxter, managers of mine, in the meeting, they was fussing with somebody, and I... making such a commotion. This guy was trying to get on the platform, or trying to get up there. And there was several doctors, medical doctors setting there. So this medical doctor, he--he said, he was talking. He said, "I want to talk to him about that baby."
I turned around, I said, "What's the matter, doctor?"
Said, "How did you know I was a doctor?"
And I said, "You are a doctor. You're... You was raised up, in England. You're a British doctor." And told him where he was schooled.
He said, "Now, Mr. Branham, I can understand where mental telepathy could--could read my mind."
I said, "I'm not reading your mind, doctor."
And he said, "But what I can't understand..." Said, "I believe that there is God. And I know that that lily can't live there without God," said, "'cause it's got a life in it." He said, "But is He tangible? I set that baby on the platform. I examined it. Its eyes was crossed right there. And here is the baby now with straight eyes. What did it, Mr. Branham?"
I said, "Jesus Christ."
And he said, he said, "Well, now look," he said, "I believe in God." He said, "But I want to ask you a question, as a minister now. Did you hypnotize that baby?"
I said, "Mister, and you mean the--the British Medical Association give you license to practice medicine, and know no more about hypnotism than that? If hypnotism will straightened the babies eyes, you ought to be practicing hypnotism." See?
And he said, "Well, tell me what done it?"
I said, "Jesus Christ."
He said, "Look," said, "I believe. I said God is in that lily."

8 And Mr. Bosworth said, "Now, you're going to start a riot here." Cause, they had segregation, too, there, you know.
And so I said, "You're going..." Then, tribal war, I said, "You're going to start a riot now. Don't do that." I said, "You're taking too much time for that baby."
And I said, "Here is what you have to do. The baby was standing there. You put it on the platform. It's own faith, and the mother's faith, by telling it that, healed the baby. It's eyes were crossed there, it never touched me, or been around me, or anything else. I never even no more than looked and seen the baby, looked back to the congregation, saw the vision, told what it was, and looked back, the babies eyes was straight."
And he walked up under that big webbed mike. He said, "I accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour." See?
When I was leaving Durban, he jumped over the fence, where many, about ten, twenty thousand people was out there, say "Good bye." And leaving... not Durban. I'm sorry. Johannesburg. And he jumped out, and grabbed me around the waist, this, and told me that he had give up his practice in the city, and is turning into the mission field, as a medical missionary to the people. And while he talking to me, he started speaking in other tongues, as he was talking to me. That's true, a medical doctor, Anglican, Anglican.

9 The next down there was a little boy, or young man. He... I won't have time to go into it. It's... He was so, he--he had to walk on his hands and feet, like. They had a chain around his neck, like a dog.
And I said, "My, you, that poor fellow. If anybody could help him, and wouldn't do it, it would be a very cruel-hearted person." I said, "Of course, now, I can't heal him, anyone knows that. I cannot heal him. I can only just say if the Lord will show me what's happened, or what caused it, or something. Because healing is already purchased.
I want you people here, that's sick, to realize that. Healing is already purchased. You're already healed. It's just a lack of faith. All things are possible to them that will believe. You just got to believe that now.
And so then we find that this little... this fellow here, I--I said, "Bring him up here."
And they was leading him by a chain. And he thought, now, sometimes the tribe want to do a clown for the tourists. And they do a little dance, you know, a little tribal dance, to get coins from the tourists. And he thought I wanted him to do a dance. The boy wasn't even mentally right. And, yeah, I couldn't say in this mixed crowd, 'cause they wear no clothes, you know. Their women, men, and all, are naked. So they--they just... maybe just a clout, or something. But he was on his hands and feet, and it was just terrible. So then I... They held him by the chain, like that, and brought him up; had it around his neck, leading him. And he was trying, going, "A-ba-ba-ba." I tried to make him understand that wasn't what I wanted. I...
"Zulus interpreter," I said, "now say the words. Tell him to stand still and just believe."
And he looked up at me like that. And--and I said, "Now, the boy is... He's been that way since a little bitty fellow." I said, "What he's really... What he's thinking of now, it's his brother. His brother was either riding on a yellow dog, or a goat. He got throwed." And I said, "He crippled himself. He walks on two clubs." And I said, "Now, I see the young man is healed. He, he has throwed away his crutches."

10 About that time, it take twenty minutes to get them quiet. The boy was setting about three city blocks out there, down in that way. Here he come, with clubs up over his hands, just running as hard as he could go. He was healed, way down there, when that Zulu interpreter. Fifteen different interpreters standing over there. You say a word, have to wait till it goes through the interpreters. Here he come, with the clubs over his head, like that. He was healed.
And--and then I--I looked around. Then I noticed, again, looking at him, I seen him standing up. That's the vision. Nothing is going to stop that. No. It's already finished then, see; just waiting for the word.
Now, look. This coming Monday I'll be fifty-five years old. It's my birthday. And I have seen visions since a little boy. I have never seen one of them fail. And I'll ask anybody if they ever seen one, that was told, ever fail. It can't fail. It's God.
So, then I seen it. Then I thought, "Here is my chance now to get the... to--to get my altar call. And I seen him standing up. I knew he was going to be healed then, 'cause, see, it's already showed. It has to be that way. It's what the vision says. It's exactly what's right.

11 How many knows that those things are true? This, for the strangers to see. [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] It's true. Never, there is no failing to it. God has always made it right.
I thought, "Here is my time for altar call." I said, "Now, this boy here, I cannot heal him. But if the power of God has showed me a vision, then it's going to be healed now. Now, if he isn't healed, then I'm a false prophet. But if he is healed, how many of you out there will receive Christ as personal Saviour?" There was, I guess, there was ten thousand Mohammedans there.
I just talked, a few days before that, to an intellectual man. Said, "That blessed trophy!" You know, they come from the old Medes-o-Persians. They don't change or alter. You can't change one of them guys.
So, and there they were, setting there. One of the Mohammedan women had just accepted Christ, and that influenced them. And Mahatma Gandhi's son was there.
So, there was--there was this boy. And so I said, "Stand up on your feet. Jesus Christ makes you well." Well, he still tried to go, "Ug-ug-ug," like that. I walked over and took the chain in my hand. I said, "Stand up. Jesus Christ makes you well."
Now, here is the Bible. And if you all know then what has happened in these last few nights, I'd be daresn't to say anything that would be wrong, in this.
There, that boy was afflicted like that, walked, his back swayed way back in, like a sway-back horse. His hands and feet; his hands was just as callused as his feet, from walking. For the first time in his life, stood on his feet. The tears dropped off of his black belly, like that, just run down, like. Not only was he healed, but in his normal mind. See?
I said, "Now to all of you that will believe, let them believe now while I'll pray. I want to know how many here," I said, "will accept Christ as Saviour?" And it looked like ocean. And they registered thirty thousand blanket natives, that didn't know right from left hand, come to Christ.

12 I remember speaking at a Kiwanis, not long ago. And then I remember the fellow that ordained me in the Missionary Baptist church, that always make fun. I said, "What the Bap-... What you call fanaticism, see, won more souls to Christ in one hour, than the tens of thousands of dollars that the Baptist church has put in missionaries over there.
What did we find them? Over there, tagged like a Christian, like this, and packing an idol in their arm. "If Amoyah..." Amoyah means "an unseen force," like the wind. "If it fails, this won't." That's the strength of it. And there I seen thirty thousand blanket natives give their life to Christ.
And going to the tribes out in there, winning their other friends to Christ. And I made one prayer for the entire group. And about four hours from then, Sidney Smith, the mayor of Durban, Sidney Smith, mayor of Durban, South Africa, called me on the phone. Which, had been a woman that had died, the night before that, and been called on, to pray. And she was at the meeting, alive. And so, then, that was Sidney Smith's relation, and he was all thrilled.
And then when this, he said, "Go to your window and look, coming down the street." And there come those big vans, just piled full. And the natives that had been in those cots and stretchers, that morning, was walking behind, with their hands up, weeping, singing in their native tongue, "Only believe. All things are possible." And no more war among them, just row after row coming down there. The trucks going like that, and the police escorts, and rickshaw had to run everywhere, like that. Only Believe.

13 Now, if blanket natives who doesn't know right from left hand can accept that, what about us? See? You know why? They've never been indoctumented with any kind of doctrine. See?
We've had everybody. Dr. So-and-so says, "It's fanaticism." This other one says, "It's telepathy." This says, "There's nothing to it." This says, "It's a devil." You don't know what to believe. That's the reason it's hard. The hardest place to have healing services is in U.S.A. That's right.
There, they over there, they don't know nothing about. They haven't heard nothing. You tell them. They're just like a child. They accept it and believe it, away they go.
The Lord help us now. Now, just one more time to pray. We can't pray too much, that's one thing. Bible said, "I would that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands."
Receive us, Lord, into Your fellowship here as we commit ourselves to You---the fellowship of your Word, for You are the Word. We ask in Jesus' name, speak to hearts. Amen.

14 We're ... left Abraham last night and ... we started with him and ... over in the 22nd chapter of Genesis where he was offering up his only son---a type of God giving his Son. We started back then, dropped back to pick him up again (his life), and we've never got away from it yet. We left him last night over about the 16th or 17th chapter. I believe the 15th chapter is where we left him at. We're going to try to finish it up tonight, 'cause I got a message just for divine healing, the Lord willing, for tomorrow afternoon. And now, every pastor's invited. Bring your congregation, come here and stand with them for prayer.

15 Now, we realize that sometimes that Jesus did things ... and He does things sometimes... You say, "Why would He permit these things then, Brother Branham? Why would He permit these things to be?" Sometimes it's done to try your faith, many times. He does things strange. Why don't He just walk out and say, "I am this, and I am that?" He didn't do that in the first place, see. He does it to try your faith.
Look, the priests thought that probably He'd come down and speak to Caiaphas, the high priest. But how was He born? In a manger, and was absolutely rejected by his own people and his denominations of them days.

16 Now, we find one time Jesus speaking, just like... Watch one little quotation here I'd like to make. Jesus has a great crowd around him, and it looked like there was too many. So watch what He said. "Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life."
Now what do you think that a medical doctor, or any intellectual person, would think when they heard of a man that had a name of being an illegitimate child, and more like a renegade to the people of that day, stand up and make a quotation like that? "Except you eat my flesh and drink my blood..." Why, they'd say, "That man's a human vampire! Why, my! Drink a man's blood and eat his flesh? You congregation, get away from such a crazy man!" He never explained it. He never explained it; He didn't have to explain it. That's right. He just wanted to see what kind of faith they had, see.

17 You ... if you believe, you'd believe; I don't care what anybody said. If I prayed for five thousand people tonight and all five thousand died tonight, in the morning I'd still be praying for the sick, see. It's what God says is what counts; it ain't what people does, see. And God, He said, "Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you."
My, that people---that intellectual group---why, they said, "Get away from that man! He's mad! He's a wild man. Why, he's a human vampire---eat that man's body!" Now, He never explained it.

18 Now, He had seventy ordained preachers with Him. He thought He had a little too much crowd there, so the crowd walked away from him. So He had the ordained ministers sitting there, and He sent them out, seventy of them. He said, "What will you say when you see the Son of man ascending up into heaven, from whence He came?" Now, He never explained it.
And them preachers said, "This man ascending up into heaven from whence He came? Why, we know Him. We know his mother. We've been to the stable where He was born. We've seen the cradle He was rocked in. We've fished with him. We're laying out here on the banks with Him. And this 'Son of man ascend up from whence He come'? He come from Bethlehem! Where's this coming up? That's too much for us." And they walked away from Him.
He never explained it. He never ... He didn't have to explain anything. God don't have to explain nothing. He's God. He just does it 'cause He promised it. He don't explain it.
Then his ... only twelve was left. He turned around and looked at them. Said, "I chose twelve of you, and one of you's a devil." He said, "Do you want to go too?"
Then Peter said those great words, "To whom would we go, Lord, for we are sure that thou has the word of life." They had seen it so clearly a-vindicated. No matter what the priest said, what anybody else said, they knew right there that He had the word of life. Said, "You have the word of life."

19 And now, we notice no matter what the others done---how they walked away---those disciples were predestinated. They were ordained to eternal life. No, they couldn't explain it. They couldn't explain it no more than the rest of them could, but there was something in them. That representation in heaven---a thought that God had of them before the foundation of the world---had manifested itself here. And they were connected with God, and were sure that was God's promise vindicated. And nothing's going to change it from them. That's real, genuine Christianity.

20 Today people are something on the order like they was in the days when the disciples was out on the ocean. And one night a storm came up. And there wasn't nothing ... all hopes was gone that they'd ever be saved. And they seen Him come walking on the water. Now, their ship was water-logged, and the sails was broke, and the oars was gone. And they were holding one another, screaming. And they looked out there and seen Him come walking on the water, and was scared of Him---their only hope. And they were afraid of the only thing that could save them. If that ain't a true picture today again! They thought it looked spooky. You know, He said... They cried out for fear it was a spirit. It looked too ... like, spiritual.
That's the same thing it is today. But if you'll just do like they did... When they cried out they heard that voice coming, "Fear not, it is I. Be not afraid. Be of a good courage." And if you'll just watch the Word of promise for this day, you'll hear that same voice speaking through the Word. "It's Me. I promised to do this in the last day. Fear not. Don't be scared. Put your trust in Me, the Son of God [who He is]. Believe it now."

21 We left Abraham in the presence of Elohim last night, where we brought him down through the promises. And now the last promise before the coming of the son, we find out that a man came up---dressed like a man, eat like a man, talked like a man---and Abraham looked upon Him and addressed Him as Elohim. Elohim. Two had went down to Sodom to preach down there, and we likened that setting to today. You all remember the story, where we left it. Just perfectly the same thing, as Jesus predicted it would be as it was in the days of Sodom, the same thing sits in the same position tonight. And if...

22 Today I was sitting there, and I was wondering, and I wondered all about this. They heard another earthquake taking place down there, and they said ... shaking the countries again. And I thought, "What is this? You know, it was done on Good Friday. You know, nineteen hundred years ago, on Good Friday, the church rejected Jesus Christ, and a earthquake shook the world all over. And they've rejected Him again in the Laodicean age, as the Bible said they would do---had Him on the outside.
This ecumenical move of the Council of Churches is exactly what they're doing. They're forfeiting all their evangelical teachings and things. How can two walk together unless they be agreed? Well, you can't do it. That won't work with real genuine Christians. They'll never receive it. No sir. A borned-again Christian will never go in a trap like that. It's just like putting a duck in a cage. They know he's headed for the slaughter. You'll never drive him into that. So a real borned-again Christian will stay away from that.

23 Now, Abraham was standing there and talking to a man that had his back turned to the tent where Sarah was. And Abram's ... Abraham's name a day or two before that was Abram and Sarai; and now it's Sarah to Abraham. And He addressed Abraham in his fatherly, priestly name. "Abraham, where is Sarah [princess], thy wife?"
He said, "She's in the tent behind you."
He said, "I'm going to visit you according to the promise, the time of life [in other words, another month]. And I'm going to visit you as I promised." Been waiting for twenty-five years now for this promised child, not staggering with unbelief at the word of God, but was strong, giving praise to God. Watch this now.

24 And then Sarah, inside the tent (if we'd put it in street expression), kind of laughed up her sleeve. Said, "Me, an old woman, ninety years old, and have pleasure with my lord, my husband?" Him out there a hundred years old, ceased to be as husband and wife many, many years.
And the man with his back turned to the tent, said, "Why did Sarah question that, saying in her heart these things?" And that way Abraham recognized who was speaking to him. That was Elohim---exactly. His sign proved his claim.
Said, "I will visit you." Why did He say, "I"? How did He call him Abraham---when He was the one that give him the name in a symbol, not in the presence of a man---showing exactly what would take place; give him his vindicated authority (the promised word) that this man that was talking to him was God, Elohim.

25 Now we find out in Hebrews, the 4th chapter and the 12th verse (as I've quoted it twice already the last couple nights), that the Bible said the Word of God discerns the thoughts that's in the heart, the secrets of the heart. And when Jesus could look upon the congregation and discern their thoughts, and told the woman how many husbands she had, told Nathanael where he was, that was a vindication that He was that Messiah, God Emmanuel, because He was the Word.
That's the way the prophets were. The prophets were considered gods. You understand that. Jesus said so Himself. Said, "How can you condemn me when you call those who the word of God comes to, you call them gods. And how do you condemn me when I say I'm the Son of God? And if I do not the works of my Father, then don't believe it."

26 He was the vindicated Word of God for that age.
Now, if He'd come with the sign of Moses, it wouldn't have worked. If Moses would come with Noah's sign, it wasn't prophesied that for that day. And all these clergies, and theologies, and high schools, and schools, and educated ministers---which is fine. We've nothing against it. But that's not the message of the hour. That was for that gloomy day. It shall be light in the evening time. He promised these things. I've read them over and over out of the Word. "Exactly as it was then," He said, "it will be again." I could tie it with every scripture in the Bible, and show you that it's the truth.

27 Now, his claims there was vindicated when He said who Sarah ... what she did behind Him. Now notice, He promised next month she will conceive. "According to the time of life," He said.
Now notice, the path of Abraham was a type of the royal seed now. Did you notice, Abraham ... the promise was to him and to his children after him. And then his children was, first, the natural seed; and then the royal seed, which was Christ. The first seed, which was by sex, come Isaac; but without sex come Jesus, the royal seed.

28 Now, that the blood... See, we are saved by blood; and without the shedding of blood there is no remission. Notice, Jesus was not Jew, Jesus was not Gentile, Jesus was God. He wasn't... He couldn't be Jew or Gentile. Look, the male sex produces the hemoglobin, which is the blood cell. The germ is in the blood cell.
Now, you people here, a lot of you... I was riding around the other day watching your farmers, and you have chickens. Now, a hen can lay an egg. An old mother bird can lay an egg; but if she hasn't been with that mate, it'll never hatch. Yet she can lay the egg, for the egg is in the female. But the blood ... and the life is in the blood.

29 So therefore, his life was a created life, not germitized from some man.
And then, the egg wasn't Mary's, 'cause if the egg was Mary's (as most Protestant believe, and Catholics, too---that the egg was Mary's) now the ... was Mary's egg, making it human. No. If the blood cell was God, so was the egg God. Because Mary could not produce that egg down ... you know, you understand what I'm talking about. She could not do that without a sensation. So, with a sensation what do you make God doing then? Be sex again, see. So both egg and blood cell was God. Amen.
That's... Believe that, and you'll have faith to walk forward. We're not saved by Jewish blood, or by Gentile blood. We're saved by the blood of God, Himself, a created blood cell.

30 As I said... Take these old mother birds. It's coming springtime. I was noticing the other day how they're taking straw and going up in and making their nests. Now, she can get up in there and make a nest, and lay a nest full of eggs; and sit on them and hover them and be so loyal to them eggs, until she'll get so poor she can't fly off the nest to get her something to eat. But if she hasn't been with the male bird, they'll never hatch. They're not fertile. You know that. They'll lay in the nest and rot.

31 That's the way with some of our churches. We just got a nest full of rotten eggs. They don't have no faith of Abraham. It's time to clean the nest and start back. Get in contact, not with some organization, some theological seminary; but get in contact with the mate, Christ Jesus, who brings the fertility to the Spirit of life that's in you. He's the one that makes you believe it.
Clean out the nest and start over again. You pat them on the back, and take them in, and make them deacons---and married four and five times and everything. What in the world we coming to, anyhow? Send them off to seminary, and inject some of that embalming fluid into them, and bring them back and...
Here the other day, on a estimation, showed that 99% of the Protestant preachers throughout the nation don't believe in the literal second coming of Christ; 87% deny the virgin birth. Think of that! What are our children going to face out yonder? God give us back to the faith again that was once delivered to the saints.

32 Abraham ... watch his path as he comes up. He typed exactly with the church. All that Abraham did has... We've watched the church. If we had the week or two here to be here, I could show you, step by step, the church has made the same path. The last sign was God, the promised word, speaking to him in human flesh ---the last promise before the Gentile world was destroyed, which was Sodom and Gomorrah.
Now think. Abraham before had ... God had appeared to him in many symbols, and lights, and forms, and signs. But never had God come to him as a human being, and spoke in an audible voice, like a human being out of a human being. And remember, the promise is just now ready to be fulfilled. The... Sodom is going to be burned. The last message is on. And there goes the church normal, the church denominal, rather. There there goes a modern Billy Graham down in there to jerk them out.

33 There's a church elected---not in Sodom---called out, separated. They get a messenger. Notice, the Abraham group got the message. And now what was it? God, that had been talking to him all along in symbols, and forms, and everything, come right up. And now He manifests Himself right here in human flesh, and discerns the thoughts that's in Sarah's heart behind Him. And Abraham said, "It's Elohim, the all-sufficient one." Remember, immediately after that Sodom was burned.
Think of it.

34 The church may be getting its last sign, folks. See, we've ... you've shouted, you've had justification by Luther, sanctification by Wesley, great times, shouting, rejoicing, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, divine healing. But where're we at now? God speaking right among us, through us---audible, just like He did there.
And He promised to do it---that's the thing. It ain't something we made up; the Bible said so. Jesus said He would do it---make Himself again. Notice. And immediately after this, Abraham pleaded for Lot. He said if He could even find ten people, He would spare it, but He couldn't even find that. The messengers down there, they rejected the messengers.

35 Like Billy Graham's breakfast, when he was in our city---in Louisville, Kentucky. I was at his breakfast. He said, "I go into a city..." He said... He held up the Bible. He's a great believer in the Bible. He said, "I go into a city, and I have a campaign. I have thirty thousand converts or decisions." He said, "And I'll go back six months from there, I can't find thirty." And he said, "Paul went into a city and made one convert. And when he come back a year later, that convert had made converts---converts times converts---till he had hundreds of converts by that one."
He said, "Now, what's the matter?" He said, "You bunch of lazy preachers..." He said, "You sit with your feet up on the desk, and don't go out and visit those people."

36 Now, who am I, an illiterate person like me, to contradict the great evangelist? But I'd like to've said one word to him: "Billy, what preacher took Paul's converts?" See, it was because Paul took him deep enough that Christ come into him, and he was a living fire on down to the living presence. Not some intellectual move, or some joiner, or get some note signed, or pledge you'll come to church; take them on to the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and then he'll be on fire. He'll bring forth children. How can he do it when he's sterile? Can't have children unless he's got life himself. That's the only way that anything can repropagate itself---by the germ. And the germ is the Holy Spirit, that was in Christ, is in the believer.

37 Now we notice, God's last sign to Abraham literally was God the Word. Remember, God, the promised word that had been promised him all along, spoke to him in human flesh. A man, standing there talking to him, discerning the thoughts that was in Sarah's heart, and her back behind Him in the tent---that was the last sign.
Notice now, He, before, had appeared to him in many symbols and so forth: such as lights, and fire, and so forth, appeared to him. But now, notice. And immediately I want you to notice what happened to the old couple. I hope you don't count me erratic. And if you don't believe this, just leave it alone. Just ... see. But I just want to tell you what I think happened. Did you notice?
Now, how is Sarah going to have this baby? Now, she's a hundred years old. Now, somebody'd say "Well, it was different then." The Bible said her womb was dead, and the Bible said they were both well-stricken in age.

38 But He's doing to Sarah and Abraham, coming along this way, just like He promised to do to their seed. And He's done it! I can prove that---just exactly the steps that Abraham took.
Now look where he's at here now. When this God come and talked to him in human flesh, made Himself known to him, immediately now, how's Sarah going to have this baby? Now, Abraham had lived with her, and perhaps he was... It said his body was as good as dead. The Bible said it was. His body now dead, Sarah's womb dead, but he staggered not; yet he believed it.
Now, look. If Sarah... I'm in a mixed audience, and you forgive me, sisters. And, you'd listen to your doctor, and I'm your brother. But now notice. Sarah at ninety years old is too old to go in labor. That heart wouldn't stand it. You know that. And another thing, her milk veins was dried up. They didn't have the health and hygiene bottles in them days, see---had to be a wet mother. Notice. So, how's He going to do it? How is she going to have this baby? Her womb's dead, she's dead in her body herself; and Abraham's dead.

39 You know what He done? He changed them. He turned them back to a young man and a young woman. I can prove that. He made them a young man and a young woman, turned them back young again. Oh, what a wonderful promise! You say, "Oh, Brother Branham..." Well, just wait just a minute. Don't ... just hold on. This may hurt just a little bit to the legalists, but I want you to see this now, just for a minute. Now, we're just teaching like a Sunday School lesson on this. He turned them back to a young man and woman again, about twenty years old.

40 Abraham, now look, he's old---his whiskers hanging way down, his body's good as dead, his little old flabby arms; Sarah, little shawl over her shoulder, little bitty cap, little grandma hobbling along on a stick. I can see the next morning. Why, Abraham, with a big hump in his back, white hair hanging down, and Sarah said, "Abraham, darling! Why, your ... your beard is turned black!"
"Why, Sarah, them pretty eyes is shining, just like they always did. Your cheeks has got rose in them." Before the sun went down the next night she was back to a young woman, and he was to a young man.
You say, "Nonsense, Brother Branham."

41 Oh, yes, it was, too! Yeah---a wonderful promise and type for the royal seed of Abraham immediately coming. Remember. Is it a promise? Yes, we'll be changed. They were changed back to a young man and woman, just showing exactly what the church, the royal seed is going to be done. You say, "Is that a promise?" I Thessalonians 4:17: the trumpet of God shall sound and we shall be changed; in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, be caught up together.
Why? Her body, their bodies had to be changed to receive the son. And our mortal, vile bodies will have to be changed to receive the Son, 'cause we'll be caught up. We'll have to be a different body from this, for we'll be caught up in the air to meet Him. Amen! Just right with the Scriptures, you see. They were changed.
If we ever meet the Lord in the air we can't meet Him with this kind of a body, 'cause we're earthbound. But we're going to receive one---hallelujah!---that'll go up in the rapture.

42 And the beauty part of it, it's so close at hand. We see all the signs sitting right---won't be long now. One of these mornings there'll be a change.

43 But remember, it'll only come to that royal seed alone. The coming of Jesus will be so secret, the rest of the people will know nothing about it.
Do you know there probably won't be too many. "As it was in the days of Noah, wherein eight souls were saved by water, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man." "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, but few there'll be that find it."
You say, "There'll be millions there." They're all through the ages, redeemed, sure. But that rapturing place, where we're standing now...

44 What'll take place one of these days? They're going to say, "Now, you know, here we are over in the tribulation period. I thought that the church was to be raptured up before the tribulation period."
That's the truth---not the church; the bride. The church goes through the tribulation period; but not the bride. No, sir. She's redeemed. She has nothing to be purified by---she's already pure. The Holy Spirit's come into her and purified her, and took away all the filth and glom of the world. And she believes that Word and becomes part of it. Right. Without the Holy Spirit, nothing doing. It's the bride comes out of the church. And there ... she that's called the remnant of the woman's seed is left to go through the tribulation period.

45 You know, one time after all the scriptures---Isaiah, Malachi 3, and Isaiah 40---prophesying of the coming of John the Baptist, John came just exactly in line with them scriptures. And even the disciples come to Jesus and said, "Why say the scribes [the scriptures], that the Elias must first come?
He said, "He's already come and you didn't know it. He's come, and they did to him just exactly what they was supposed to do; and you didn't know it."
Now, that might be one of these days. You could say, "What about the rapture?"
It's already past and you didn't know it. "There'll be two in a bed. One will be taken; one left." You know, there's about several hundred people disappear on earth every day anyhow, you know. They can't make out for it. And just think of it---the sadness!---that people will go right on preaching, and believing they're getting saved.

46 And Noah entered into the ark and the door was shut behind him by the hand of God. The sun come up and went down seven days before anything happened. And the people went right on preaching, right on making fun, and everything else, not knowing that their only mercy they ever had was closed off from them. Think! Ministers will still be educating preachers, and sending them out, and things like that going on as the church moving on---and completely without mercy, without anything, cut off completely. The rapture's gone. "Let him that's filthy, be filthy still." The Scripture says that. Already come, and you didn't know it.
Think about that tonight, friends, and watch what's going on.

47 There's not nothing in the world can comfort you now but the Word of God, see. There's no other hopes---your nation, nowhere else. We're worm-eaten to the core. You know that. Communism has worm-eaten the thing. It's got to be that way. You ain't going to stop it. Bible said it's going to be that way. So you just ain't going to stop it, that's all. Get ready for the rapture. That's the only thing to do.

48 Thessalonians, the... I Thessalonians 4:17 said that we'll be changed like Abraham was, and caught up a different body. Now, Abraham, their old bodies had to be changed. So will ours have to be changed to fulfill the promise. We'll have to be changed.
Now, you say, "These old bodies?" I want to ... I was speaking at a Kiwanis here sometime ago, and a doctor came out afterwards. He said, "Mr. Branham," he said, "I appreciate your talk, but," said, "you know I can't believe that ... anything unless it can be scientifically proved---about that virgin birth and things like that, and about being God."
I said "Well, you'll never believe Him, 'cause you can't scientifically prove God. You've got to believe Him by faith---by faith."
He said, "Well, I don't believe anything that's not scientific."
I said, "Are you a married man?"
He said, "Yes, sir."
I said, "You love your wife?"
He said, "I sure do."
I said, "Scientifically show me what love is, then. I want to buy some, if you can tell me what drug store sells it. I really need it." I said, "I..." See, just a simple thing.

49 I said, "I'll ask you a question. Now here. Are we made from the dust of the earth?"
He said, "Yes, sir."
I said, "We receive that dust by eating the food that comes from the earth. And it is plant life and so forth." You see, you can only live by dead substance, see. If you live, something has to die so you can live physically. If you eat potatoes, it dies. If you eat beef, the cow dies. If you eat pork, the hog dies. If you eat greens, it dies---it's a form of life. And you only live natural by substance of something dead---dead substance. Now, doesn't it only stand to reason, friends, that you can only eternally live by the substance of something that died for you? Christ died, yea, rose again to vindicate his deity.
Notice now.

50 I said, "Doctor, if I eat food then, every time that I eat food it goes into my body, and it makes blood cells."
He said, "That's right."
"Then every time I eat, I renew my life."
He said, "That's correctly---new blood cells."

51 I said, "I want to ask you something then. When I was sixteen years old, I ate corn, and beans, and potatoes, and meat just like I do now. And every time I eat I got bigger and stronger. And then, when I got to be about twenty-two years old... Every human being, no matter how much you eat, how well you eat, you get older and weaker. Now, if I'm pouring water out of this cup into this one, and I pour it half full, and then I just keep on pouring it after half full; and instead of coming up it goes down---scientifically prove to me how that's done."
How is it that I'm eating the same food, renewing my life every day according to ... proves it; scientifically proves I'm renewing my life when I take in new blood cells, same kind of blood I took when I was sixteen years old. But why is it, after I got about twenty-something, then no matter how much I eat, I'm going down---getting older, and older, and older, and drawing right on down all the time. Instead of filling me up like it did then; now it's taking me down. It's an appointment, that's what it is.

52 But God made a picture. And He got you when you was about twenty-something years old. If nothing could interfere... Like the little crippled boy sitting here, just like a stalk of corn start up, and something lays over it and makes it grow crooked. If you could move that crooked thing that made it do that, the stalk would straighten up. It's got to, that's all. Notice, if nothing interferes with it, there you are: fine young lady, fine young man, you and your husband standing together, modern Adam and Eve, from the beginning. God said, "There they are. Now, death, you get after them. You can start taking them, but you can't fully take them till I call." Now, what is it? It's a negative picture.
Oh, my! See,

53 that's exactly what He done to Sarah and Abraham. He wiped away the old age. Old age is a sign of death, and there'll be no signs of death in heaven. See, all memory of death will be taken away, and there'll be no old age. We'll all be young. It's just a picture that God has drawed in your youth. And now, God's taken and set Abraham and Sarah right back to that good young age again. So there we are.

54 And another proof I want to show you now. I feel that isn't going over too good. I just have to ... you don't believe that. Well, let me ask you ... let me show you something. Let me show you that they did do it. Now watch. Look where they was on the map when God appeared to them, up there by Sodom. Immediately after that they took nearly a three-hundred mile trip down to Gerar. That's quite a trip for an old man and woman. Here's this old man now, his whiskers hanging way down, on his stick. Here's little grandma, you know, with little bonnet on, shuffling along behind him, making little four or five-inch steps as she goes.

55 And then, trouble of it was, when they got down to Gerar, there was Abimelech. A king was hunting for a sweetheart. And all those fine women he had down there, the Philistine girls---when he saw Sarah he fell in love with her, wanted to make her his wife. Is that right? Ha, ha!
Oh, brother, the Bible is just like a love letter. You have to read between the lines, see what it means. God said He hid it from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and revealed it to babes such as would learn.

56 When I'm out in the mission my wife writes me a letter. And I love her and she loves me. And she'd say, "Dear Bill: Tonight I just put the children to bed and I've worked today..." I see what she's (reading), what she's writing; but see, I so love her I can read right between the lines. I know what she's talking about. She don't have to tell me---I know, 'cause I can read between the lines.
That's the way it is with God. We're not trying to study from some newspaper standpoint, some theological standpoint; but fall in love with Him! Get down and really get Him in your heart---the love of God shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Ghost. Then go to reading the Bible. You'll see it coming right out between the lines. See, you know what He's saying. He never said that right out in a word. Jesus thanked the father because that He'd hid those things from the eyes of the wise and prudent.
Now, no one else could read my wife's letters like that, because I love her that way, see. And that's the way she writes to me. That's the way God writes to you---it's between the lines. You read it.

57 Here she is now, Sarah. Sure. Went down there. Could you imagine a little grandma, you know, and all them pretty girls down there in the Philistine (company) country, Gerar. And here's Abimelech there. He's a fine-looking young king, and he wants to get him a sweetheart. So he looks all around. They're pretty and everything. But he sees grandma coming, you know---shaking, nervous, coming along. He said, "That's the one I've waited for! That's her! Oh!"

58 And Abraham said, "I pray thee, Sarah, you show this kindness to me. You're fair to look upon, you know." Said, "When you get down there you say I'm your brother, and I'll say that you're my sister, 'cause if you don't they'll kill me and take you, see."
You couldn't have two wives at the same time then. So then we... She couldn't have two husbands, rather, at the same time. One of these days I'm going to preach on that. Then you talk about "Serpent's Seed" stirring something up---you wait till this comes out.
Well, now, remember

59 then, we find that when seeing that coming---little old grandma like that---Abimelech fell in love with her, and went and took her to be his wife. Think of that. See where He turned them back? Sure, He had to.
This Bible love letter is something God writes to us. He's hid it from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and He revealed it to babes such as would learn. He hid his coming. He hid Jesus from the Pharisees---them students of the Scripture. We ain't got nothing like them today. No matter how student they was, they didn't recognize Him. He was hid. The Bible said He was.

60 And you know the Bible said the clergy of this day would be hid the same way? "Heady, high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, and despisers of those that are right; having a..."
You say, "That's Communist."
No, no. "... having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. From such, turn away," see. That's right. "This is the sort that goes from house to house, and leads silly women laden with divers lusts," so forth.
Notice.

61 Now, we find Abraham down there. And Abimelech comes over, says, "That's the one I've waited on all the time." So he had his girls to come get her, and take her out there and, oh, maybe fix her all up, and make her look like some queen of some sort. And that night... I want you to notice here, God's grace to his prophet. This might choke just a little bit, but it's the truth. No matter what it looks like; you look at just what the Bible said.

62 Now, you see, Abimelech, he thinks, "Tomorrow I'll marry this beautiful Hebrew girl. And she's over in the chambers over there now. And my maids are perfuming her, and making her hair pretty, and fixing her all up." Now could you imagine an old ninety-year-old woman getting fixed up like that to marry a young king?
So we find out as they get this beautiful Hebrew girl all fixed up... And he takes his bath and lays down. Stretches out his feet after saying his prayers, and laid down, said, "Oh, my."

63 Now, could you imagine Abraham doing a trick like that? A man that would say a thing like that about his wife? Talk about a coward! Abraham did that. There he is, sitting out there now, after doing a thing like that.
Notice. And Abimelech---that night the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "You're just as good as a dead man." Said, "You've got another man's wife."
He said, "Lord, you know the integrity of my heart." Said, "She told me that was her brother, and he told me that was his sister."
He said, "I know the integrity of your heart. That's the reason I kept you from sinning against me," see. "But that ... her husband is my prophet. [Look at his grace to his prophet, though he's in the wrong, see.] Said, "He's my prophet. I'll not hear your prayers. You go take him his wife back, and let him pray for you. If you don't, your whole nation is gone---every womb is closed."
Think of that! It's exactly what He said. And Abimelech was a good man and feared God. Yes, sir.

64 But you see what the grace of God done? There sat his prophet out there that give his wife over to be married to another man---even looking for the promise of the child, and things like that---and the grace of God stays with that Word, regardless of what it is. That's right. "Her husband is my prophet, and I'll not hear your prayer. No matter how righteous, and how good, and how smart you are, unless he prays for you you're a dead man."
So he took and restored Sarah back. Oh, my!

65 Then Isaac come on the scene. Now, in closing, quickly now, I want to get to something. Isaac come on the scene, and then the promise was fulfilled.
Now after Isaac come---a little boy, he got about twelve years old, so forth---God made a double test of Abraham. After he'd already tested him for twenty-five years now, then he made a double test. Now, He said, "Abraham, I want you to take this son now, your only son, and take him up to a mountain that I'll show you here in this vision. And I want you to take him up there and offer him up for a sacrifice."

66 And he said ... he never refused to do it. He just got up the next morning after the Lord spoke to him, saddled up the little mules, and took some wood and stuff and clave it, and took off with the mule. He traveled three days. And then he got to the place, and he looked off in the far distance after traveling three days. Now here's where Abraham was. And three days' journey ... and when... Men then didn't have gasoline feet like we have today. And any ordinary man can walk twenty-five miles a day, see. Where did he get to, back in those wilderness?
And he said, "Now you wait here." (I like this of Abraham.) He said to the servant, said, "You wait here with the mules, and I and my son will go yonder to worship; and we shall return."
How's he going to do it, when he was going up there to kill him? God told him, said, "Go up there and take his life."

67 But what did the Bible say in Romans 4? "Abraham knew that he had received him as one from the dead, and was fully persuaded that God was able to raise him up from the dead, from where he received him as a figure."
Said, "You wait here."
How He's going to do it I can't tell you. Can you think of that, sister with the baby in your arms, and the mother sitting in the wheelchair, little boy there, over here, dad? I don't know how He's going to do it. I just don't know how He's going to do it, but He's going to do it---because He promised He would, on the basis you'd believe it. He does it to others, see.

68 "The boy and I ... the lad and I will return," see. "You wait here, and we'll go worship." And he put the wood on little Isaac, the type of Christ packing his cross. Got to the top of the mountain; little Isaac got suspicious.
And he said, "Father..."
He said, "Here I am, my son."
He said, "Why, here is the altar, here is the fire, here is the wood; but where is the lamb for a sacrifice?"
Listen to these words now, coming from Abraham's lips. "My son, God will provide for Himself a lamb for the sacrifice." That means, God's provided sacrifice---Jehovah-jireh, the Lord provide a lamb.

69 And when he bound his hands, and laid him upon on the altar...
Imagine what a time that was now, after waiting for him for twenty-five years; and God having him destroy the only thing that he had testified about all through the years. He was a reproach among the people---laughing at him. And here God says, "Destroy the very thing that's going to give you the only hope you can if my word's going to be fulfilled in you. I give you the boy. He's twelve years, they've all recognized him, still make you a father of nations; but go kill your boy." Could you imagine that? God just showing us, no matter what anybody says, or anything contrary to that Word---refuse to look at it. The real seed of Abraham believes that.
"Destroy that son."

70 And Abraham laid him upon there. You can imagine---taking his little curly hair and rolling it back out of his face, and his little brown eyes looking up like that, and his little lips quivering, see that big-bladed knife come out of his father's... Think of a father! Laid his little head back, and pulled his throat back so he could stab him through the throat with his knife, in obedience to God.
No matter what it looked like, he said, "I received him as one from the dead; God's able to raise him up." Raised back the knife and started, and the Holy Spirit caught his hand.
Said, "Abraham, Abraham."
Said, "Here am I."
Said, "Stay your hand." Said, "I know that you love me and trust me now, seeing that you wouldn't even ... you would give your only son."

71 And just about that time there was a ram hooked by its horns in the wilderness behind him. I want to ask you something, brother, sister. Where did that ram come from? Look. You're back there three days' journey from civilization in the wilderness, where there's lions, jackals, and all kinds of wild dogs, and beasts, and things back there, that would kill that ram right now. And look, he's way up on top of the mountain where there's no water. And he'd picked up rocks all around there, making this altar, and the ram wasn't there. But when God needed one, there it was. And it wasn't a vision---he stabbed it and the blood run out of it. It died.
God spoke it into existence this minute, and Abraham took it out of existence the next minute, see. Jehovah-jireh, the Lord will provide for Himself a lamb.

72 The ... impossible for the ram to be there! If anybody knows about sheep in a jungle---in the wilderness like that---and there where all the wild animals and savage things back in there would kill that ram right now; it couldn't have existed back there. And here up on top of the mountain, where there's no water, no grass or nothing up there... And he wasn't there a few minutes before that. And just at the moment that God needed that ram, there it was. He spoke it into existence.

73 Just like He'd appeared to him down there---Elohim. He needed a body to come down to earth in, so He just gathered up the cosmic light, and the petroleums and so forth, and stepped into it. See, He's God! That's the way He'll do you. After you're no more than a spoonful of ashes in the dust, He'll still speak, and you'll be there. He'll call your name and you'll answer---the seed of Abraham. What a ... that promise fulfilled.

74 Notice, it was a ram. Now if you've got just a minute longer, I'd like to explain this. You know, the other night I left it alone. I never even explained it to my church. You remember when He confirmed that sacrifice, confirmed that covenant to him? Taken a she-goat, took a heifer (she-calf), and split them in two, and took a ram. Now remember, when the royal seed of his faith, remember, it wasn't a she; it was a he. It was a he---the promise was fulfilled. Notice, a ram---he. He, to meet the Word. He is the Word---that ram. Not a she---they were offered first, remember, Genesis 15. The she---they was the first one down. Then he took a ram. Ram was the last. He, ram, the provided Word; not the she-goats, the organization, the church, see. Not the she, the church; but he, the ram. Amen!
That's the reason He was born in April;

75 not in December. The Roman church put it (the sun-god's birthday), and put it with his up there on the twenty-fifth of December, when the circuses was going on. If you took the ... studied the history of the church then you understand that they put that up there to make ... it was the sun-god's birthday (the solar), when it stopped almost still. There's no change in it for five days, from December the twentieth to the twenty-fifth.
They put the Son of God and the sun-god's birthday the same, compromising Christianity with paganism. Made December ... He couldn't have been born on December the twenty-fifth. Why, it's snow-bound mountains up there in Judaea. He was born like all lambs are: He was borned in springtime. And He had to be born under the ram because He was a ram. And the ram was April. Exactly. He was borned under that ram. That's what He was: He was God's ram. That was Him up there that took Isaac's place! Amen! Don't you see it?

76 There it is, shown here plainly the royal seed bride will not be called by the she---church, denominational she-goat sacrifice; no, but by Him, the manifested Word of the ram, for He is the Word and the ram. Not called, He said, not called by her name; but called by his name. He'd take a people out of the Gentiles, not for her name, but for his name---would bear his name. Oh, my! What are you afraid of it for then? A Gentile would bear his name, the ram; not her name, the church. Not she; but He. Hallelujah!

77 The royal seed would see it. Can't you see Malachi 4 coming to pass, restored back to the original faith, the Word of God? Surely you people can see that. We won't have to make it any plainer. Let that denomination go, men. Get back to that Word. And the voice of the last day, and the sign of the last day, is to swing the people back to the original faith. Malachi 4 said so: back to the Word,

78 and He was the Word. Not her; Him. Amen. The name of the Lord Jesus.
The vindicated Word, now, by the promise: the word that promised St. John 14:12, "...works that I do shall you also"; Malachi 4, the same thing He said there; also Luke 17 tells us that in the last days the manifestation of the world would be set just exactly in order like it was in the days of Sodom, and God would come down manifested in human flesh and would know the secrets of the heart. Jesus said that thing would take place in the days when the Son of man is being revealed at the end of the world.
See, it's not the church, "Join this, join that"; it's come to Him! That's what Abraham's ... seed got their sacrifice offered. Instead of his literal seed, what about his spiritual seed? And He bears his royal seed, the queen seed. Amen! Oh, if you could just see it. Remember, what is it? It's flesh and spirit uniting, 'coming one.

79 Look. In Matthew, 3rd chapter, here was flesh, virgin-born Son of God, coming down out of the city, walked out to John the Baptist. And there he was, standing in the water. The Bible said the Word of the Lord always comes to the prophet. Is that right? And John was a prophet. They hadn't had a prophet in hundreds of years, but here he was, a prophet, standing there. And he was prophesying that Jesus would come. He had been out in the wilderness, and said he'd seen a sign. God told him that sign would be following that messiah when He comes.
He said, "He's standing among you somewhere now. There's one among you whose shoes I'm not worthy to loose. He'll be made manifest one of these days. And when he does, then I'll decrease; he'll increase." He happened to look and see that sign. Said, "Here he comes now. Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world."

80 The old Baptist preacher, Dr. Davis, that baptized me into the fellowship of the Baptist church discussed that with me one time. He said, "You know what happened there, Billy?"
And I said, "No, I don't, Doctor."
He said, "Here's what happened. John had never been baptized." Said, "John baptized Jesus, then Jesus turned around and baptized John."
I said, "I don't know about that." So I kept praying about it. One night in a vision, here's what it was, see. He never ... He never ... Jesus never baptized John. But watch. He said, "I have need to be baptized of thee, and why comest thou to me?"
Jesus said, "Suffer that to be so."

81 Watch them two eyes, two main men on earth. There was God; here was his prophet. And the Word come to the prophet. If the Word's in flesh, it'll go to the prophet. No matter where it's at, it will go to the prophet. It's got to. The Bible said so. No. And here come ... He was the Word. "In the beginning was the Word ... and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."
And here come the Word to the prophet, right out in the water, to fulfill and vindicate his prophecy. Amen. Here He stands there. And there them two eyes meet one another: one the prophet, and the other one the Word. And John, humble before Him, he said, "I have need to be baptized of thee, and why comest thou to me?"
He said, "Suffer that to be so, for thus it is becoming to us [behooving us, see, becoming], to fulfill all righteousness." John, being a prophet and knowed that word, 'cause the Word come to him, he knowed that that was the sacrifice. And according to the law the sacrifice had to be washed before presented. It's exactly. He baptized Jesus because He was the coming sacrifice. Before He could go to his public life He had to be baptized, because the sacrifice must be washed before it is presented. Amen! He baptized Him. And when he did, He went straightway out of the water, and he looked up and saw the Spirit of God like a dove; and a voice coming from it said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am pleased to dwell in." God and man become one.

82 Adam and Eve was one at the beginning, and when He separated them she fell, because of the Word. She missed the Word. She fell. So has each church age fallen like that on account of misinterpreting the Word, letting the interpreter that... Satan interpreted it to Eve. "Oh, surely that couldn't be right... Surely this, surely these all can't be... This can't... Oh, yes, I know. Surely..."
But if God said so, that makes it so, and no "surely" to it. You must be borned again! You've got to receive the Holy Ghost! Either that, or perish.
Notice Him,

83 here He come, and Jesus and God became one. They united. Like in Eden where there ... Adam and Eve was, in the beginning, the same spirit. Their names was called Adam, see. He was both Adam and Eve together. And when ... was separated to go the test, what happened? Eve fell by the Word---that was the Word. Adam went out after her to redeem her, but he couldn't do it. He wasn't worthy to redeem her. Then along come the second Adam to redeem the church, which was in shadow, a type.

84 Now, as sure as Adam and Eve had to be the same spirit, Christ and the church has to be the same Spirit, the same ministry ---"the things that I do shall you do also." See what I mean? They had to unite together. Flesh and blood and God had to come together and be one Spirit. And Jesus Christ and his church is one Spirit.
How can the church deny creation? How can the church deny the thing that Christ told them to do? How can we deny it, and then say that we are Christ's? "If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ask what you will and it will be given to you. I am the vine, ye are the branches." And the life that's in the vine goes into the branch to bear the fruit---fruit bearers---and every limb that don't bring forth good fruit is hewed off.
That's the way organizations did: break it up, get the Word mixed up, and start off like that. And one starts, one this way and one that way. And first thing you know a few little bunch of Rickys come in, and they get their idea. And first thing you know they become a big bunch of Babylon. He just prunes it off. Never did an organization ever rise but what it fell. And every one fell, never did come back again. He'll take a man from somewhere else, bring it right out. Certainly.

85 Notice in this, now. They had to become one. Jesus said then, the life that's in Him will be in his church. And here's exactly what He promised in the last days: that the life that was in Christ, that was in ... will be manifested in the days that the world's in a Sodom condition, just like it is now. Can't you see, brother, sister? What good does it do to join church if you haven't got Christ in your life, and Christ identifying Himself in your life, see? That's it. "These signs shall follow them that believe." He said that. How could you say it ... if it's not, how can you claim to be Christ's?
You say, "Brother Branham, how do you think you're ever going to make that stick with the people in this intellectual day, when everything is a denomination?"

86 I asked a woman not long ago, "Are you a Christian?"---in a hospital. She said, "I give you to understand I burn a candle every night." Like that had anything to do with Christianity!
I went to pray for another woman, and another lady was laying there sick, her and her son. And I said ... come in. I said, "Lady, will you ... yeah, I know who you are. You're Mrs. Oliver."
She said, "Yes, Brother Branham." She said, "I've been very sick, Brother Branham. The doctor can't find what's wrong with me. Would you offer prayer? That's the reason I called you."
I said, "Why, certainly, Sister Oliver." I said, "Would you mind bowing your? ..."
Said, "Wait just a minute. Pull that curtain!"
And I said, "Well, all right." I said, "I was just going to pray. Are you a Christian?"
She said, "We're Methodist."
"Well," I said, "that wasn't what I asked you. I asked you if you was a Christian."
She said, "Pull that curtain!" See? That's just how narrow... How could a person ever be... That's blackness and darkness, denominational difference cutting them off from the blessings of God. That exists in all denominations. That's right. Brother, don't go to she; take on Him. Don't take her name; take his. Take his name.

87 You say, "Brother Branham, how're you going to make it stick today? How're you going to do it?"
He made the promise that He would. Said, "Fear not, little flock. It's your Father's good will to give you the kingdom." How's He going to do it? He's still Jehovah-jireh. He's still Jehovah-jireh: God can provide for Himself a church. He's able of these stones to rise children to Abraham! Certainly---He's Jehovah-jireh.
Say, "Will it work?" It ... sure. God promised it. "You think you'll ever make it?" I can't, but He will. I'm not responsible for making Him do it; I'm just responsible for preaching it. It's his business to confirm it---that's Him. If I stand by the truth, He'll stand by it. He's proved it, and He will do it. You say, "It's awful dark." Yes, I know it's awful dark, and all the ecclesiastics going into this great big organization to a slaughter. Say, "What you going to do about that?"

88 Just reminds me of a little story. I might say this, just before closing.
Down in Carlsbad, New Mexico, here, they have the caverns there, you know, where you have to go down about a mile, down in that... I never did like that stuff. They're always like a mole in the ground. And it went down in there. And, oh, it gets midnight-dark down there. And there was some little girl standing, oh, probably like that little thing there. And her little brother was standing over here to one side, with the guide that was taking them down.
So they was standing down in this dark place, and there... It was light then. They had all the lights on. And this man, just for ... the guide slipped over to the light. And this little boy was walking along with him, watching the guide. So the guide got over there, and took this switch, and he just threw the switch off. Oh, my! Talk about dark: a mile deep in the ground, you know, so dark you couldn't wave your hand, couldn't see nothing.

89 And that little girl was screaming for all that was in her. She was just jumping up and down, and screaming and screaming as hard as... And out of all the screams, the little boy, standing over to one side, he said, "Oh, little sister! Oh, little sister!"
She said, "What do you want, little brother?"
Said, "Don't be scared. There's a man here that can turn on the lights."
There's a man here that can turn on the light: He's Jehovah-jireh. There's a man here that's among us tonight: the Holy Spirit. He can turn on the lights. He is the Word---a man here that can turn on the light. I don't know how He'll do it. It's not for me to know. But he knows how to turn the switch on. He made the promise.
He made it up there... When Abraham had his knife above his son's throat, He turned on the light. He can turn on the light again tonight.

90 Let us bow our heads just a minute.
God help, that He'll turn that little switch in your heart. Friends, this week you've seen the great Holy Spirit among us. There's no question to that. But, oh, let that little light be turned on tonight. Don't miss it, my brother, sister. I think that just with this one little chapter here of Abraham has proved---just linking it back and forth from Genesis to Revelation---has proved what hour we're living in. Christ rejected in our nation again. Earthquakes in divers places, Sodom and Gomorrah, the church in its condition, exactly forming the image of the beast: all these things has taken place as the Bible said. And you people know that, see.
Now, without this great experience with Christ... If the life of Christ comes in you...

91 Now just take a look at yourself in God's mirror, and just see if you can identify yourself tonight.
If you'd been living in the days of Noah, the time of the flood, what side would you be identified with? If you was living in the days of Moses, what side would you have been on? If you'd have lived in the days of Christ, when all the churches was against Him... He had to stand alone out there in the things He did. Only thing was, God with Him---that's the only thing. Even all of his disciples, nearly, walked away from him. But what side, just in your present state now, where would you ... what side would you be on? What side would you be on, right now, when you see Him again, right among us?
Now He's here. He can turn the light on in your heart, and just fill your life with the Holy Spirit. How many here now, with your heads bowed and your hearts too, will pray with me just a moment?

92 Heavenly Father, we know that You just don't come along and do things just to show that You can do it. You're doing it for a purpose. And, Lord, this week I felt led to wait till this minute, to this very time, that first they would see that the Word is confirmed. It's beyond any question now. And this one character, Abraham, when all characters in the Bible are tied right into it, and we see where we're sitting right now.
Father, with a broken-up word (but it's the best I could do), I pray now that the great Holy Spirit that's here, that knows the secret of every heart, will speak to that heart right now. Do, Lord. Speak to that one that would not go if You was coming tonight. If the door would be closed tonight, if they would die on the road home, or get hit by a car and killed, or die and be found dead in the bed in the morning, they wouldn't be saved. O, God, please don't let none of them go that way.
If they've just joined church, Lord, may they not be ashamed to step out and ask God for a filling of his Spirit that his life would come into them. If they haven't been able to understand these things, neither did the disciples; but they held on until the Holy Spirit was poured out. Then they understood it, and wrote the Bible. I pray, Father, now, that You'll speak to every heart, and let them know that the man that can turn the light on is right at their heart's door.

93 With our heads bowed now, how many in here will be real honest, and say, "Brother Branham, I know that I'm not right with God." I want you to raise your hand. Just keep your head bowed everybody, but raise your hand. "I'm not right with God." God bless you. God bless you. Yes. "I..." Hands ... "I know I'm not right with God." See, what I'm trying to do: find favor with God for this great healing services tomorrow. If I could just get favor, I don't believe there will be a thing left but what will ... God will heal, if I can just get the people to believe.

94 Now, you without the baptism of the Holy Spirit... And you know that is the oil. If you didn't have oil in the lamp, they did not go in. And did you ever hear of such a time in the papers where Presbyterians, Lutherans---look at the Christian Businessmen's magazine---Lutherans, Presbyterian, even Catholic, are seeking to find the baptism of the Holy Ghost by the hundreds. And I wonder if those full-gospel businessmen understand that they will not get it.

95 The Bible said, when they come, said, "Give us some of your oil." They said ... the sleeping virgin... They realized they had all that time to get oil, but they didn't do it. So when the bridegroom was just about to come, they said, "Give us some of your oil."
They said, "We just got enough for ourselves. You go buy it from them that sell." And while they were gone the bridegroom come, and the bride went in. And they were cast into outer darkness, to wake up and find out the rapture was gone and they were left, where there'll be weeping and wailing (a tribulation period), and gnashing of teeth.
My brother, sister, tonight, my friend, if you haven't got the Holy Spirit, but if you are convicted enough to know that you should have it, would you raise up your hand and say, "Pray for me, Brother Branham. I believe we're in the presence of God. Pray for me. I do not have the Holy Ghost." God bless you. Just look at the hands everywhere. Do you want it then?

96 Now I know---to you Methodists, and Baptists, and so forth---there's a lot of fanaticism that follows any message. Now to you Lutherans---I was just reading the history of Martin Luther, one of his books that was wrote on him here not long ago. They said it wasn't so mysterious that Martin Luther could protest the Catholic church and get by with it, but to hold his head above all the fanaticism that followed his revival. And that goes... There's a mixed multitude with every revival. You know that. But now remember, that only indicates that there's a real one.
When you see a bogus dollar, somebody's making out like they got something, just remember there's one genuine that's made off of. If it isn't, that's the original, see. So, you know that that can't be the original. So there has to be an original.

97 And that original is the real Jesus Christ, the one that's here that knows every secret in your heart right now.
And I'm going to ask you, if you've seen Him, and hear these testimonies of all kinds of things being healed, and how the people's hearts has been made known through this week, and you... That's Him talking to you. That's Him. I wonder if you believe that me praying for you would help you? Remember, the Holy Ghost was given by laying on of hands. Peter---after Philip had went down to Samaria and baptized all the people down there in the name of Jesus Christ---yet Peter came down and laid hands upon them and the Holy Ghost came upon them, see.
Now if you believe in that, I wonder if you'd just come up here---each one that's not saved or haven't got the Holy Ghost---would come here and stand right here just a minute, let me pray for you. If you just come from the aisle, no matter where you are, just stand here. Just walk up here and let me pray with you just a moment. God bless you.

98 Now, just everybody sing now. "Almost Persuaded," if you will, Sister Downing, if you will. All right. Won't you come right along here, my brethren. God bless you, my brother. Everybody real quiet now, praying. This might be the crucial moment. Might mean the difference between death and life to many, many people. Have you all been here this week? Have you seen the Holy Spirit, what He's did this week among the people?

Won't you come, without God, without the Holy Spirit? You can say, "I belong to a church, Brother Branham." That's what ... not what I'm talking about. I mean, are you filled with the Spirit of God? You'll never find a more convenient day than right now, when Jesus Christ identified among us. What if you die before morning, and then you can't call? Won't you come now while He's calling? That's right, just keep coming, right on down.

99 Listen friends, do you believe that the Holy Spirit through this week has proved that He speaks here? Let's see your hands. There should be this many more, or more. I feel that feeling. See, He isn't ... there's something wrong yet. Better come. Remember, I can't ... I can't force you to come against your own will, but I believe this might be the time all that what you've looked forward to, it might be fixing to happen right now.
And this could be (I hope it's not), it could be the last time you'll ever be called. Remember, He won't always strive. He'll call; then He'll turn from you, never to come again. Why don't you come right now? Won't you come up here and just represent yourself before God? Say, "I'll come stand. I'll take the way. I'm not ashamed. I belong to church. But I want the whole world to know that I'm ready to receive Christ in my heart, the Holy Spirit. I'm coming now to do it. I'm ready to straighten up---be a real Christian, a real lady, a real man." Won't you come? We'll just wait.
Come right on down, that's right. Out of the balconies and aisles, come down. You're just ... make your stand.

100 Friend, I may never see you again this side of the great time. But if I don't, remember, I'm going to be innocent now. So's Christ. He's identified Hisself with you. You'll see Him do the same thing in a little bit. All right. Now come down, take your stand. "Why," you say, "Brother Branham, you're judging."
No, I'm not. I'm judging this feeling that's in me, see. There's something in here that says, "Oh, there's more. There's many more," see. Now, you say, "Well, I've joined church, Brother Branham. I'm Pentecostal."
I don't ... I'm not saying that, friend. I'm not asking that at all. I'm asking, "Have you got the life of Christ?"
Say, "Brother Branham, I've spoke in tongues." That's good, but that ain't still what I'm asking about. You say, "Brother Branham, I never harmed anybody." That's still not what I'm asking about. Is the life of Christ in you? Don't take no chance, friend. Don't, don't, don't, do that. It's going to be ... when death strikes you, it's too late then. Don't do it. Please don't.

101 Now we've got so many here right now, I'd like to get a little room for some more. I'm going to pray for these, and then ... so we can go in, get in the room there, so we can come lay hands on them to receive the Holy Ghost. And then ... we're going to pray right now for these. You bow your heads just a moment.
Our heavenly Father, here are those bowed here. They're men and women---they're eternity-bound people. They must go, we know that. And we see earthquakes, and the world in the position it's in now, and see the Christ come to us and do the things that He's doing. And see the message, the Word, go right out. And then see Him come right behind it and vindicate it to be true---knowing every secret of the heart. And these people now have come forward to make a stand. They couldn't have done this by themselves. They come because they were led to come.

102 And Father, I'm offering prayer for them right here, not only for their salvation to be saved, but they might be filled with the Holy Ghost. Grant it, Lord.
May each one standing here be filled with the Spirit, and may from here come a revival through this country that'll just shake this community and all this country round about. Grant it, Lord. And every church---in the Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Church of Christ, Lutheran, whatever it might be---may there come a revival, Lord, of these people going back with the real Holy Spirit, manifesting God in their lives. Grant it, Father. They're yours now, and I offer them to You. Now we're going to take them in and lay hands upon them, Lord, that they might receive the Holy Ghost. In Jesus' name.
Now, while we all have our heads down,

103 I'm asking this group now to follow this man right here by your side, so I can get ... we can get to you, back over here in the room. We got a place over here for you to kneel down. We come lay hands on you that you'll receive the Holy Ghost. And if you're sick, you're ... be healed, and just whatever you have need of. Go right here now, and we can get right in with you. There's more has to come, but there ... a little ... there's no room for them to stand. We're just going to make this double call now. Go right in here to this side over here. That's right. God bless you.

104 Now, to the rest of you here now, as they move out, why don't you move right up here now again for prayer. We'll fill this place up again around here now. We're going in there to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. We're going in, after we've seen the identification of the Lord Jesus here before us this week, and know beyond the shadow of a doubt that that's Him here. Now remember, the same Holy Spirit, the same Jesus that would tell me what was the matter with those people: where they were, who they were, where they come from, what's going to happen to them; and you know it never failed one time and it never will, never will---that same Holy Spirit told me to do this. That's right. I'm doing it by the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

105 Now while this ... as soon as this group gets out in this other room here, before we go over there, we want you to come. Now, you here, come. Move up this way. Now the rest of you here that wants the baptism of the Spirit, won't you come right now? Move up this way. God bless you, young man.
And if some of you are sick, and not filled with the Holy Ghost, why don't you come receive Christ? Receive Him, and then you'll stand a better... This lady was just stricken down by the ... she couldn't ... so under conviction like she couldn't stand it. They're helping her to the room. Come on now, you, next of you here, now there's plenty of room standing around now.
Come on up, you that's church members---Methodists, Baptists. We're not asking you to...

106 Listen, friends. I know they say, "Pentecost---they organized Pentecost." That's wrong. Pentecost is an experience. The Methodists get it, the Baptists get it, all of them get it. Pentecost is not organized; it's an experience. And if you haven't had the experience of Pentecost, come receive it now.
Remember, if you believe me to be his servant, his prophet, remember, there is a genuine baptism of the Holy Ghost. Right in the midst of all the fanaticism, there's still a genuine Holy Ghost---a genuine one of God. You come believe it right now.

107 Won't you come, while we sing just one or two more verses of this song, so I can be sure that my soul is clean. When I leave this city now, the blood won't be upon...
I know He's speaking to others. Why don't you come? God bless you, little boy. God bless you all, standing around. That's right. Come on, from any side of the building---outside, inside, balconies, wherever---come right on down now, right down here. Take your place for Christ. Don't be ashamed of Him.
If you were dying... What if you felt your heart skipping right now? And remember, that one that's speaking to you, He holds your heart in his hand. He knows the secret of your heart. I say it in the name of the Lord. There's many more here to come. Why don't you come? You say, "Is it me, Brother Branham?" Yes, it's you. If you're not positive, don't take no chance.

Mother, bring Dad. Come on, right now, everybody---young lady, young man, whoever you are, old man, old woman---come on. This is it. If you're... Oh, remember what I just showed you by the Bible. You're going to be changed, if you'll just accept the seed of Abraham.

108 Lord Jesus, O God, search every heart. Search every one, great Holy Spirit. O God, let it not be in vain to this ... even one person. May every one, every one, Lord, be saved. Don't let a one of them stray out, Lord. I claim them in the name of the Lord Jesus for the jewels of the crown of my Lord, oh, whose presence is here now---the great pillar of fire moving around through the building, sweeping over hearts. I pray, God, that that heart will break off them shackles, and raise up and come sweetly to Jesus Christ. Say, "Lord, all I am, here I am. Take me and mold me, Lord, in thy great molding house, and fill me and make me a son or daughter of God." Grant it, Lord.

110 Let us bow our heads now while these get ready. Now as you stand here, just look down. Remember you had to come by some pulsation of something inside of you telling you there's a little something wrong in your life. I admire your stand. Remember, Jesus said, "If you're ashamed of me before men, I'll be ashamed of you before my Father and the holy angels. But he that will confess me before men, him will I confess before my Father and the holy angels."
And now there's quite a few people back in here now, that's ready to join with us now in prayer, that you will be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. Just tell Him you're sorry for what you've done, and you're going to be a Christian from now on by his grace, and you want the baptism of the Holy Spirit that's going to lead you down through life's journey.

111 Heavenly Father, they're jewels to your crown. They could not have come ... they could not have come 'less something warned them. And you said, "No man can come except my Father draws him, and all that the Father has given me will come." And here they come, by something telling them to come. Then you're starting a work, Lord. I pray that you'll finish it tonight in them, Lord, by making them sons and daughters of God. Grant it. May not one of them be lost. I present them to You now as trophies of your Word and your presence. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

112 Now, go right back in the room till we can to you. Go to the right here. The ushers will lead you right back. And now, I wonder if the personal workers now will come. Follow these right in, many of the personal workers from other churches. You ministers, that wants to go back in there with us now, to find out whether this is done just right or not, you come go back with us. Come kneel with your people, that they receive the Holy Spirit. Each one come right... You ministers, any of you. Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, no matter who you are, come on. You're invited. Come with these people.

113 And you personal workers from different churches that knows how to pray with people and lay hands upon them, come now. These are placed into your hands. They're trophies of the Word. Won't you come now at this time, you personal workers, and make your way back before we change the meeting here just for a minute? Come now. Move right in. That's fine. Go right back into the room---lots of room back there. Now go right back and do everything you can to help these dear people.
Dear Jesus has brought them. He has caught them into the gospel net. Now you take them back there and let's pray with them that God will fill each one of them with the Holy Spirit. Close the doors, stay right there until it happens. He promised He would do it. And He promised it, and He'll keep his promise. He's just as true to his promise as He is to appear here before us. Lord, bless them.

114 Ministers, are you here? Preachers, laymen that's interested and watching, are getting people to receive the Holy Spirit. It's your post of duty now, go with them. Stand by your people. You well-trained men, experienced with the Holy Spirit, you well-trained women that knows what it means, you get with them sisters back there where they are. You that knows what to do, stay with them back there now. Right now's the time for you. This is when your post of duty. This is your color, now, to go. God bless you. That's right. Just take your place, and go right in with them there. And stay there and be sure that it's done, and done right. Stay there until you see the sweetness of Christ in each one of them. God will honor you for it. Amen and amen!
Oh, I love that. Just look what's went back in there.

115 Is there one more in here that did not go in, that should go in? If there is, will you get up and follow these personal workers right in? Do it, will you? If there's one in here that doesn't feel that you're just where you should be...
Now, remember, brother, sister, I cannot make this happen, see. God is the one who does these things; not me. Now I pray that God will just grant these things to you, and give you an experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. All you people now that love the Lord Jesus, and wants to go in and pray, go back there now and pray with these people, will you? Thank you. Thank you very kindly.

116 You know, when I see personal workers going with people, I have ... I want to say this about you people here. That proves what you're made of, see. I've went to places, even in people who's supposed to be Spirit-filled people, and see altar calls made. And, why, you couldn't get people to go in with anybody to pray with them. See, that shows it's Ichabod. The spirit of the Lord has departed, see. But when you see that zeal, and fire, and longing---long for human souls...
You notice through the week I've just took my time, and watched discernment and things like that, that the people would catch it, and find out the Holy Spirit is near---then make that altar call. You ministers understand what I was doing, see---to make the altar call now when they was convinced. Hundreds of them are in there now to receive the Holy Ghost. Many went in with them to pray with them.
Now if there's anybody else here so that...

117 I'll say this: that you have seen the presence of Christ this week vindicating Himself here. You've seen Him. And now remember that no blood will be upon me at that day, if it's tomorrow. It's going to be one of these days. Just remember, we are going to stand there. No matter who you are, you're going to stand there anyhow. "Once appointed to man to die, and after that the judgment." And we're going to stand there.
Now if you're not perfectly sure that you got Christ, the Holy Ghost, in your heart, and He's vindicating Himself in there with love, and peace, and joy, and the fruits of the Spirit, and the life of Christ living in you---then remember, your blood's not on my hands. Neither will He be guilty, 'cause He's appeared before you and showed Himself here, exactly with the Scriptures. How many will witness that by raising up your hand and say, "I've seen it this week."? That's right. Then we're without fault, we're without excuse. Now is there any what's ... one more that would like to come, so that I can say, that when my time gets ready to leave here tomorrow, if the Lord willing, I can say I'm free from all the blood from that revival. I did my very best, Lord. I commit it to you. Now you just ... each one.

118 Now, how many in here that's sick and needy now, and would like to have prayer for yourself? Let's see you raise up your hands. All right---all over the building. Now I'm going to ask you to do something for me. Now, are you believers? Now I want you to do something for me now. Lay your hands on one another. Just lay your hands right across on one another. And now, look, I want you to pray---just pray.
Now remember. All the people that's going to come into the line of prayer tomorrow must be here early and have a prayer card. Hold it in your hand when it comes time for the line, now. If you got a loved one, you Methodist brethren, Baptist, Presbyterian, whoever you are, if you got sick ones that you... Come right with them. Come right on up in the line with them. Come, get you a prayer card. 'Cause then, bring the prayer card right on in the line. The ushers will pick it up. They'll be ... come by and prayed for. I believe God's going to do some great things tomorrow. I'm hoping He is. That's the reason I make altar calls, do everything I can to find favor with Him.

119 Now while we all bow our heads, and you all are praying, one for the other... Now, the Bible said, "These signs shall follow them that believe." Now you pray for the man or woman you got your hand on, for they're praying for you. See, don't pray for yourself; pray for them. Lay your hands on one another and pray. Just lay your hands ... that's right. Now pray the way you do in your church. Say, "Lord Jesus, heal this poor, dear sister, this poor, dear brother, whoever it might be. They're sick, Lord. And I'm a believer. And I'm going to follow your Word, and your Word said, 'These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover.' And I'm laying my hands upon the sick---this sick person, this sick brother, this sick sister. I pray, God, that You'll confirm your Word, and the sign will follow, and they'll be healed."

120 Lord Jesus, I pray for them, and for these handkerchiefs, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that You'll heal every person that's in divine presence.
Satan, you've lost the battle. They've seen the presence of Christ. They've heard his Word, seen it manifested. Sinners are in there seeking salvation. You've lost the battle. Come out of these people, in the name of Jesus Christ. Leave them, that you torment them no more, and let the God of heaven raise them up to life again and good health and strength. May them who are holding prayer cards not even need to come in the prayer line tomorrow. May the Holy Spirit just surge this group of people and heal every one of them for the glory of God. (Now, go ahead, brother.) Amen.
