1 ... henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it'll satisfy us.
Shall we bow our heads again.
Lord, this is Your Word, and we pray that You'll be with us according to Thy great grace, and forgive us of our sins. We are unworthy, and we pray now that You won't look to us, but look to Thy only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and see that He stood in our place, was made flesh, to hold the stinger of death to take it away from us. And in there He bore our sickness, and those things that His flesh bore, we have redemption and access to the eternal things of God tonight, and I pray that You'll manifest Him to us tonight in a great measure. We ask in His name. Amen

2 Now, I'm really pressed for time, as you know, but I want to ask you one thing. Philip's great desire was to see God, and is that your desire tonight to see God? He said, "Show us the Father, and it'll satisfy us, if You'll just show us who the Father is."
Now, Philip's desire is my desire, and Philip's desire is your desire. Is that right? Let's see God. Well, if by the grace of God and the help of God, I can bring God right in this auditorium here, and let you see Him, will you accept all things of the Bible then? and say, "We are going to tighten up tonight?" And when the Holy Ghost fires over the piston tonight, let's believe God for everything. Will you do it?

3 If God can come in this room, right here now, and manifest Himself to us right here in this room... Can any man see God, see? Can any man see God? Now, let's look at God in four different ways. I want to take God in His universe, and God in His Word, God in His Son, and God in His people. Let's look at it just for a few minutes.
Let's take God in His universe. How could this universe stand and revolve around as it does, leaning sideways to bring us the rain and so forth to the north up there and the ice, and cold, and frigid, and to the south and so forth, the hot to bring forth the vapor to water the earth. How could it turn so perfect? You throw a ball up in the air or spin it as hard as you can, it wouldn't stand in the same orbit one split second. It would be turning different, and it would be moving different.

4 But this world, for the last six thousand years has never failed to turn exactly twenty-four hours, go around the equator, and all around the whole circle, and come back every season. And God promised it would never fail. So how could that be done without some great ruling, controlling power doing it? Is that right? It's God, God in His universe.
Sometime ago I was talking ... in the mountains where I was going on a hunting trip with a fellow, and I was eating at his table. He said he was an infidel. I said, "I don't believe there is such a thing." I said, "I've seen people that wanted to act smart and say those things just to be different, but I've watched them when they come to die, they change their mind."
Bob Ingersoll and many of the others did, and so will you if you're trying to be an infidel tonight. You wait till it comes down close enough and then you will find out.
Some of you here don't believe in divine healing, but wait till sickness strikes your house hard enough. It'll shake you out of it. Yes, sir.
Jairus was a believer too, a secret believer. Sickness struck his room one night with his little daughter. He become an open believer and a confessor right quick, for his daughter was laying at the point of death.

5 God working in His universe, moving... There's no one with the right... If a fellow could ... any person look right in the face of a great big beautiful calla lily and say there's no God, the man is mentally disturbed. That's right. Anyone who could look in the face of a big pretty rose and say there's no God, there's something wrong with the person's mind that would do that. I say that reverently, but I say it, for it's the truth.
And God in His beauty, did you ever see Him in the sunset, see Him in the sunrise? How beautiful it is to see Him in the sunset.

6 I was speaking here sometime ago. I was up in the mountains. And I was in on a hunting trip, and I was way up high, because that fall the elk was high. And so I was up there hunting, just about two days back with a horse and a pack horse, and I was camping out. There come a storm that day, and I got in behind a tree and was standing there behind the tree, and the winds a blowing and howling.
And after the storm let up, why, then, of course, the cold winds caused the evergreens to freeze. The sun begin to set through the rocks here in the western horizon here, and peeping through the mountain like that, the shadows of the sun sweeping across the valley, a rainbow came out. Oh, my! You know, David said, "When the deep calleth to the deep."
If the deep is calling, there's got to be a deep to respond to it. If there's a desire in your heart tonight to have more of God, there's more of God for to you receive. If there's a desire in your heart tonight to be healed by God, there's a fountain open somewhere or you'd never have that desire.

7 Before there can be a creation, there has to be a Creator to create the creation. Is that right? And if you're hungering for God, to be healed, there's a Creator somewhere creating that desire in your heart. That's right. And as long as you believe there's a God that'll heal you, there's a God somewhere that'll heal you. That's right.
David said, "At the noise of Thy waterspout," you see. The deep calling to the deep.

8 And I just love nature. I like to look at God in His nature. And standing there... I love nature. Nature was my first bible. That's how when I was a little boy, I used to take my old twenty-two rifle; it was old, all broke up. I really like them. I've still got it today.
Somebody here in California (if that man is here) he give me a rifle here, the last time I was here. I still got it, brother. I'll have it till I die, unless somebody steals it from me. If he does, I'll hunt him down. And I just love guns, and fishing rods, and things, 'cause it's out in the open.

9 And I remember as a kiddie, I used to get out at nighttime. The boys would be going to parties and things, but I'd get out and lay under the stars, and look at the sunsets and the sunrises, and hear God speak in the wind as it roared through the trees and so forth. God's in His universe, if you'll just look around for Him. Don't you believe that?
And then I noticed up here that day on the mountain, this beautiful rainbow come out. I come out behind the tree; I begin weeping. I just cried like a baby. I happened to listen to the elk herd then; the storm had scattered them. The great males were bugling one to another, while the storm broke them up. Old gray wolf got to howling up here on the hill, the mate answering down in the bottom. I tell you, the deep was calling to the deep for me. I felt like Peter said, "It's good to be here. Let's build three tabernacles, and stay here." How up there among the wilds... Why would I ever have to come out? But there's sickness down below the hill, of course.

10 And there in that moment, rejoicing, I raised up my hands, and I said, "Great Jehovah God, how marvelous You are, the Great Creator of heavens and earth. I see You in Revelations 1, Jesus sitting there with a rainbow over His head. He's to look upon jasper and sardine stone; that's Benjamin and Reuben's stone, First and the Last, He that was, which is, and shall come, root and offspring of David, the Morning Star, the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley; standing with His covenant with the church can't fail. The seven colors in the rainbow, the seven church ages all blended together make one great resurrection of the body of Christ." Oh, my! Something begin to breathe out in me.
And you know what? If somebody would've come up in that hillside, they'd have thought they'd had either a maniac or the Salvation Army up there. I was running around and around the tree, screaming to the top of my voice. It's a good thing I was about thirty-five or forty miles from civilization. I didn't care what people thought. I was worshipping the Lord. And if the elks wanted to look in, the bears, they could look on; that was all right. But I was just having a good time.

11 And I looked back at that rainbow and hear that wolf hollering again, and around and around the tree I'd go just as hard as I could, hollering, "Glory to God, praise the Lord," just as hard as I could scream. Yes, they'd have thought I was a maniac, shaking my hands and screaming the top of my voice. And I stopped. I was just having a great time rejoicing.
I heard a little old pine squirrel begin to chirping. I looked over at that little old fellow, and he come out on the stump there where there'd been blow-down, some trees blowed down. And I thought he was getting at me.
Those are the noisiest little fellows in the woods. And he was just a carrying on, you know, and he certainly is a policeman. All the game runs when he goes to hollering, 'cause they know that something's near. And I thought he was barking at me because I was carrying on like that. I thought, "Surely he wasn't amening me." So I looked at him, and he kept, "Chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter." And I looked at him awhile, and after awhile I found out what he was barking at.

12 There's a big eagle had been forced down in there. The big fellow lifted himself up on a limb. His great big gray eyes begin to look back and forth. And I thought, Well now, why did God stop me to look at that eagle? Nothing good about him; he's just a scavenger. So why did I have to look at that eagle and not this rainbow now? And I thought, Well, Lord, what'd You do that for? And I said, "Now, what's about the eagle? I don't see nothing of him that looks beautiful. He's just a big old eagle sitting there." Frankly, you kill a deer and he'll eat it up for you, if you don't hide it. So I thought, Well, what's that fellow sitting there for?
I looked at him, and after while I thought, Here's the reason the Lord wanted me to see that. Look how brave he is. My, he's brave. I said, "Say, do you know I could shoot you?" He looked around at me like that, rolled those big eyes around, and looked back at that little old pine squirrel. I thought, I know you're not afraid of him, but you surely afraid of me. And so I said, "I'll see how a scared he is." I reached like I was going to grab my rifle, like that. And when I did he moved; he looked at me. I seen him. I said, "Well, why is he so brave? What makes him so brave?" And I happened to notice, he was moving his feathers in his wings all the time. I said, "I see it." God gave him two wings; he's got confidence in it. And I tell you, he knows that he could be in the timber before I could get that rifle off the ground. That's right.

13 And I said, "If an eagle could put faith in his wings, how much more ought the church put faith in the Holy Ghost that God give them to take them from danger." That's right. How much faith ought you to have?
I kept looking at him that way till he got tired of listening at the pine squirrel. I was admiring him. And I noticed he just gave one big jump, got just a little above the timber like that, flopped his wings about twice; he never flopped no more. He just set his wings. And every time the wind would come in, he'd just ride up on it. If wind would come in again, he'd just ride up on it, leaving that little old earthbound "Chatter, chatter" sitting there. I said, "I see it, Lord."

14 Oh, if we only knew: It isn't, jump here, and join this church, and leave the Assemblies and join the Foursquare, and run to this and there, place to place. It is, just know how to set your wings, and when the Holy Ghost rides in, ride up with it, on out, on out, on, on, on, on. I stood and watched him till he become just a little spot, plumb out of sight. I begin crying again. I thought, That's it. He just never flopped. It never bothered him a bit. He just set his wings and rode out on the tidal wave like that, as he went out leaving that little old earthbound, chatter, chatter here. I thought, That's it. If the church would just set their wings in the love of God, and ride away from this little old thing that says the days of miracles is past, little old earthbound chatter, chatter. We are not earthbound people; we are heaven-bound people. Set our wings in the Holy Ghost, that'll pack you out of here into the spheres that the world knows nothing about.

15 God is in His nature. If you'll watch Him, you'll see Him in animal life. You'll see Him everywhere.
I remember a little old spring I used to drink at up there. Even in that spring I could see God. I go down there, and that was the happiest spring I ever seen. Every year when I go up there it's "bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble," just as hard as it can bubble.
I looked at it one day, I said, "Say, don't you never get tired? What you so happy about? What you bubbling about?" If he could... I said, "Maybe you're happy because deers drink at you."
"No."
"Maybe you're happy because bears drink at you."
"No."
"Maybe you're happy because I drink from you."
"No."
I said, "What you so happy about?"
If he could speak, he'd say, "Brother Branham, it ain't me bubbling. It's something behind me pushing me, making me bubble."
That's what I think about, an old-time Holy-Ghost meeting. It's not the people excited; it's the Holy Ghost coming into them and making them excited, bubbling them up, giving them power, giving them joy. That's right. It's the Holy Ghost a bubbling.

16 If I could look out tonight and look at that great morning star ... or, evening star hanging yonder, I'd say, "What makes you shine, evening star? "
If he could look back he'd say, "It isn't me shining, Brother Branham. It's the sun shining on me, that's what's a doing it."
We have an old-fashioned meeting where testimonies and powers of God. It isn't the people that's shining; it's the Holy Ghost from heaven shining on the people, giving light to this dark world in the absence of the Son of God. [Gap in the audio.] Hallelujah. Brother, that's right. That's what we need tonight is an old-fashioned, bubbling up meeting.

17 I used to go, when I use to pastor the Milltown Baptist Church. I stayed with some friends called Wrights. I used to go in there by night, way out in the hills. And when I go in, there's an old nightingale ... or, mocking bird, we called them, there. I used to sit in a little old cedar bush, where it turned in, down below the barn, go about a half mile up on the hill, through the woods to the place. This little old nightingale would sit there, and he would just ... once in awhile on a cloudy night he'd wait awhile, then he would just sing to the top of his voice.
And I begin to study what made him do that? I studied up on the nightingale. He sits and looks towards the heavens through the night. And whenever he can see one star shining, he starts singing, because he knows the sun's shining somewhere. Amen.

18 I think when you can see a power of God sweep through a meeting, it means this: that Jesus Christ is living somewhere. Hallelujah. It's the same Holy Ghost power that raised them up on the day of Pentecost and give them the blessing of God. That power is still in existence somewhere, when you can see a church that's together with God. What a marvelous thing: God in His universe.

19 Sometimes I go up into the north woods there, watching Him in His great universe. There are little old ducks are borned up there on the marsh, on the pond. The male and female comes from Louisiana, and Texas, and down near Brother Jack's home. And they go on up there in the springtime, and make a nest, and lay their eggs. And then along in the summertime these little old ducks are hatched out and they feather out. They're a whole group of them on the pond.
The first thing you know, come a night, and snow will come across the top of the mountains way up high, them cold breezes will sweep down through that mountain. And as soon as that first cold breeze sweeps across that little puddle of water, there's a little old drake there somewhere, a little old duck that's a leader. Every duck on the pond knows he's a leader. He'll run right out there in the middle of that pond, stick that little honker up in the air, and holler, "Honk-honk, honk-honk." Every duck on the pond will come right to him. He'll raise...

20 Remember, he was borned on that pond. He never was off of that pond; he has no compass, but he'll raise right up from that pond and go just as straight to Louisiana as he can go. We call it instinct. Well, if a duck's got enough instinct, enough gumption to know how to escape the cold weather, what ought a man that's got the Baptism of the Holy Ghost do then? That's right. We ought to have as much sense as a duck's got. Don't you think so? That's right.
When that Holy Spirit of God moves upon a man, he sees something coming, he moves into somewhere, goes somewhere else, glorifying God. He goes right straight to Louisiana.

21 Look, I tell you another thing. You go out here and turn on your radio, says, "Tomorrow it's going to be pretty weather." Pick up the paper, the news commentator, "Tomorrow it'll be fair and pretty weather." Watch that old sow hog take them shucks off the north side of the hill, and come back over here on the south side of the hill, and make her bed. Don't you pay no attention to what that news commentator said. That hog knows more about it than he does. Yes, sir. Coming cold weather, watch the rabbits when they get down under the brush; it's cold weather. What is it? God gave them instinct. That's exactly right.
God gave an animal instinct to take care of himself, and He give the man the Holy Ghost to take care of him. But a animal believes his instinct, and a man's scared to trust the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah! That's exactly right. What we need tonight is throw loose our arms, and say, "Lord God, I believe every word You wrote is the truth. I'll stand by it, live or die. It's Your Holy Spirit that's leading." Then we're going to get somewhere. Amen.

22 God in His universe, moving in His great powers. One time I was herding some cattle, and I had a pair of binoculars, and I got up on top of the hill, and I was looking off. It was a beautiful sight, seeing God in His nature, how He was moving. And there was an old eagle had built some nest way up in some big thickets, way up in the rocks is where she usually makes her nest. And I seen her. She was trying to get her little ones out of this nest. She'd throw out her wings like that and coo, coo.
And I had a pair of ten-power binoculars; I was watching for cattle on the range, so I could pick up where that old eagle was. I watched her. She was cooing to those little ones, and oh, if you was ever around an eagle's nest---how it smells. And all those little eagles come out and got on her wings. She lifted them up out of there, brought them way down through the crevices, and down into the meadows, and set them out.

23 Now, them poor little eagles had never been on grass before. The only thing they know was the old nest, stinking, and stickers, and everything: how they make their nests out of poles and stickers and things. When them little eagles dropped off her wings, begin to get out there and pick a little piece of grass here and there, why, they was the happiest little fellows you ever seen. She turned around and went plum just as high as she could go to the highest spot on a mountain. She sat down there and moved her big feathers. I throwed my glasses up to look at her. And there she was. I was sitting over in the top of a bush watching her---my horse tied over the hill---watching her. I thought, Oh, God! Hallelujah!

24 I looked at her again; I seen her up there, that big head up, looking around like that, watching those eagles. I seen those little eagles just look up to see where mammy was, you know, and they was just as carefree as they could be. They'd tumble over one another, and grab... That new grass felt so good on their feet.
And I thought, Oh, brother, if that isn't a Holy Ghost meeting, I never seen one in my life. That's right. Been in the old pukey nest, (excuse me) the old vomity nest of the world, out here fooling around with things, and God comes down in His mercy, picks you up on His everlasting wings, moves you over and sets you down in a big fashion Holy Ghost meeting, where you're just carefree.
And the Lord Jesus Christ climbed the ramparts of glory, sits at the right hand of His majesty tonight; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. He's watching every move (Yes, sir.) to see what takes place. I'm telling you, let a coyote come up if he wants to get the biggest flogging he ever had. She'd dive off of that rock there and give him a thrashing like he never had. That's right.
You let the devil go to fooling around in a Christian meeting one time and watch what a flogging he gets. That's right. 'Cause our Great Master of life is climbed up higher and sitting in His Majesty looking down. His eyes like on the sparrow and He watches every one of His children. He knows where they're at and what they're doing. Don't fear; just be as free as you can be.

25 My! First thing you know, I seen this old eagle lift her head and sniff the air a few times. There was a northerner coming, and it comes quick. And before hardly a minute or two, the lightning was flashing, a black cloud was coming. She let out a scream and come off that rock; right down into that field she went, soared like a bullet, throwed them big wings out like that and begin to go screaming, chirping, and going on. Every one of those little eagles come just as fast as they could go, reached over and took a hold of a feather with their mouth, caught on like that, caught their little claws in her wings. And she just lifted up that whole wing full of eagles, away she went in that storm meeting her right in the face. She pressed right on in and went into the hole in the rock.
I said, "Hallelujah, hallelujah!" Someday this great happy life we're living in... The storms will be coming, but our Saviour will come, spread forth His wings; I'll take a hold of Calvary, and fly away yonder into the rock, unto our heavenly home (Hallelujah!), where we'll be there forever in His presence and His glory, safe from all. Let them drop atomic bomb, hydrogen bombs, what do I care about that? I got someone who's watching over tonight.
Why does the church worry about that? Why, the smoke won't be dried up, till we will be in glory shouting the praises of God with the saints that's gone on. Why, what do we care about the atomic bombs, and the hydrogen bombs, and the Z-bombs, and all the other bombs? Brother, we've done got a bomb that bursted all the devil out, and the sin out, and has a bomb of the power of Jesus Christ, and made us light enough to fly up to heaven with Him. Amen.

26 Yes, sir, God is in His universe. God is moving in His universe. Watch. Wish we had time to go into that real good and deep one time.
Here some time ago an infidel... He crossed the country. And he was making converts, going to people and telling them there was no such a thing as God. He went to England. No preacher seemed to want to tackle him. He was a powerful man. And when he come back, his health was broke down, so he goes out in the west. He thought, I'll go out and take a little trip and rest awhile.
While he was up there on a rest period, one day he took a walk down through the woods. The winds begin to sway through those pines. Brother, that's music. Going through there and he looked at those great rocks hanging in the mountains, conviction come on him. The Bible said, "If they hold their peace, the rocks will immediately cry out."
He fell down on his knees and said, "Oh, great creation, have I been wrong? Have I been wrong? Did You come there according to the way I thought it, or is the Bible right?" And there that big, bully, infidel, that preachers was afraid to attack, God puts out nature yonder, and converted that man. He's a preacher in the field today, preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

27 Why? If they hold their peace the rocks will immediately cry out. God speaks out of His nature. Do you believe that? God is in His nature. Watch how everything takes place. Millions of things we could speak of, if time would just permit it, how God is in His nature. Do you believe God's in nature? in His universe?
Now, God in His Word. God's promised to bless His Word. He will watch over His Word to perform, take care of it. Do you believe that? The Word of God, Jesus said, was a seed, and it's the seed of God. Every word is a seed. "A sower went forth sowing seeds," Jesus said. And the seed was the Word of God.
Now, every word of God is a seed of God, and it'll produce just exactly what the Bible says it is. If you need salvation, take the seed of God: "Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden." If you need healing, "I'm the Lord that healeth thee." Anything you have need of, it's a promise in this Bible, God will take care of every promise. And listen to this. I say this reverently, quietly, so you can remember what God will do: The right mental attitude towards any divine promise of God will bring it to pass. If you'll take the right mental attitude towards any divine promise it will bring it to pass.

28 Look at the seed, you California people here. Look at your little ... out here ... see your orange groves. You take your little orange tree when it's no higher than that there. It come from a little seed just sticking up about like that, just a little bitty, bubble like. Every orange that'll ever be on that tree is in it right then. That's right.
Just think, a little tree that big, with hundreds of bushels of oranges in it. Why, you say, "Brother Branham, what do you mean?" It's right there in the tree right then. If it doesn't, where does it come from? The tree, only thing it does is just suck the water from the earth. And it has to draw more than its portion. 'Cause it has to draw so much into it, till it pushes out. It'll push out branches, then it'll draw. It'll push out limbs, and then it'll draw, push out blossoms, and push out oranges. It's just constantly drawing and pushing out, drawing and pushing out.

29 That's the way the man is that's born of the Spirit of God. When he takes God's promise into his heart... And look, the only thing that God does is plant you in Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost, and everything you have need of in this earth's journey is in you when you receive the Holy Ghost. Amen. The only thing you have to do is draw and push out.
I tell you what's the matter with the Christians tonight: You're not drawing dividends on your baptism of the Holy Ghost. Draw in and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink till you push out salvation, push out divine healing, push out the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Just drink, drink, drink. And you're planted by the inexhaustible fountain of life, which is Jesus Christ. He that's thirsty, let him drink; hear Him say, "Come. Whosoever will, let him come and drink from the fountains of the water of life freely. Amen. What a beautiful thought of Him there. God in His Word. God's got to keep His Word.

30 We just have time... I'm pushing now; I'm hurrying. Looky here, just quickly, one more thought. When God told Moses... Now, "Behold I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way. Beware of Him, provoke him not, My name's in him. He won't pardon your transgressions. He said, "I have give you Palestine." Give it to him... Yes, sir.
Now, the trouble with people, when you become a Christian you don't look around in the Bible and see... You say, "Well, I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour." That's good. There's nothing wrong with that. That's what you should do. But after you become a Christian, go in the Bible, look around and see what's yours. Amen.

31 When you buy a house, you look around to see what's yours, don't you? Why, it's just like putting me in a big arcade. I will go around in a big arcade. That's what it is. I will go around; I look at this. It's mine.
Now, if you want to stand back and say, "Y ... y ... yes, I believe it, but I ... I'm scared. I'm scared I can't do it." Well, just go ahead that's all the farther you'll ever get. But me, I like to look around like Abraham did, walk up-and-down the land, see what you got. Amen. I like to see whether His promise is what He said. I'll believe it. It's in His Word.

32 This great big arcade of Christ, by one Spirit we're all baptized into this arcade. If something looks a little high for me, I'll just get a ladder, and get up, and examine it, see what it looks like. That's the way to do it. Climb up by faith into the realms where man can't touch. It's hanging there; God promised it to you. There's a stepladder; just keep climbing. You'll get it; reach up for it. Amen.
My, sometimes I'm ashamed to think our little petty faith, when God's eternal Word lays here, which is God Himself manifested in the Word.

33 Look what He said. Here's a good thought. He told Joshua ... or, not Joshua, but Moses, "I have given you Palestine; it's yours." And it was all walled up and fortified with Philistines and big walls around it, but I've give it to you. It's yours; now go take it. There's the idea. Go take it.
Divine healing's yours; go take it. It's fortified up with doctors' belief, and agnostics' belief, and everything else, but go take it. God said it's yours. Amen. The Holy Ghost is yours; go take it. Your pastor don't believe it, but the Bible said it was so. Go take it. It's God's Word.
You know how them ten that come back, said, "Oh, we look like grasshoppers; we can't do it."
Joshua said, "Yes, we can. God said so; that's the promise. I believe it."
Peter said, "The promise is unto you, and your children, and to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Amen.

34 I believe the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and all the fullness of God is raining down on the church today. It's for whosoever will. God promised it in His Word. It's ours; let's take it. Let's go over and possess the ground.
God didn't go over there and kill all the Philistines, and the Amorites, and so forth, and sweep it out, and say, "Now, come on in, folks." That ain't God's way of doing it. He gives you the promise, and says, "Go get it." That's right.
Divine healing's yours tonight; go get it. God promised you could walk, and you could walk, and you could walk, and you could walk, and you can see, and whatever is, God promised it to you; let's go get it. God said so. If He ain't as good as His Word, then He's not God. Let's go possess it; it's ours. God is in His Word, do you believe it?

35 God is in His Son, do you believe that? The Bible said that, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. Do you believe it? Yes, sir. When He was here on earth, He said He was God. He looked like God; He acted like God; He preached like God. He healed like God; He died like a prince, and rose like God. He was God. He proved He was God. Hallelujah!
Every man and women that's ever amounted to a hill a beans has believed Him. No wonder he said:
Mid rendering rocks and darkening skies,
My Saviour bowed His head and died.
The opening veil revealed the way
To heaven's joy and endless day."
No wonder Eddie Perronett said:
All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all."
That's right.

36 Another one said:
Living, He loved me;
Dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising He justified freely forever:
Someday He's coming---oh glorious day!"
Poor old blind Fanny Crosby said:
Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the stream of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee?"
That's right. She knew who He was.

37 God was in His Son reconciling the world to Himself. God's manifestation---God Almighty emptied Himself into Jesus Christ. That's right. And Jesus Christ emptied Himself into the church. Hallelujah.
God is in His universe. You believe it? God is in His Word; believe it? God's in His Son; believe it? God's in His people; believe it? Hallelujah. God is in His people tonight, performing, working miracles, just like He did. "The things that I do shall you also." Do you believe that? Oh, my! Amen.

38 Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank Thee for Thy goodness and Thy mercy. Oh, when I think of You standing there onto Your universe, looking down upon the earth... I think of You, when You walked here in Galilee. Upon the mountains at nighttime, watching the great plantations and so forth, great planets of the heavens and the solar system, knowing that You made them, spun them out there with Your hands, blowed Your breath in the palm of Your hands and every star come into existence. Hallelujah!
Made sin here on earth in order to take the stinger out of death to put it in Your own body, to put sickness in Your own body, to bear it for us. Give it to us in the Word, confirmed it by the Holy Ghost. You in Your Word in Your Son, now in Your people. How could we doubt anymore "Show us the Father and it sufficeth us."?

39 Lord, we believe tonight that You're the same God that walked on Galilee. We believe that You're the same One back yonder before there was a star in the heavens, that said, "Let there be light." And the sun come into existence. God be merciful to us. And I pray tonight that You'll sweep a revival across this city here, and all these great walls of differences will be tore down, and that the Holy Ghost may have preeminence in every heart. Grant tonight that the lame walk, the blind see, the deaf hear, the dumb speak. May great signs and wonders be done for Thy glory, for we ask it in His name. Amen.

40 Do you believe God is here? Do you believe God is in His creation? God is in His Word? God was in His Son? Now, God's in His people. Everything that God was was put into Jesus Christ. He was coequal with the Father. Is that right? Think it not robbery, but He was equal with the Father.
I used to think that God was mad at me, but Jesus loved me. But I come to find out that Jesus was the very heart of God. Amen. Jesus was here, manifesting His Father's love to the people. Then I seen God was in His Son. And now, He said, "A little while and the world seeth Me no more, yet you'll see Me, for I will be with you even in you." Then God is in His people tonight, showing the same signs and wonders that He did when He was in Galilee, same signs and wonders He did when He come through the wilderness in a pillar of fire. He's the same Jehovah God today as back yonder in Eden when He come down in nature. Amen.

41 Oh, my! When I look out and think how petty and how little... And we people who confess that we have kissed the rims of the cup of the blessings of His power, and can sit still, and look upon this sinful world, and hold our peace, I wonder sometimes if we don't need another dip from God. Amen. That's right. Where's your faith? Rise, you morning stars, and shout the praises of God. That's right.
Don't let the devil put one thing over you. He's nothing but a bluff. He hasn't got one legal power. When Jesus Christ died at Calvary, He stripped him of everything he had. The only thing tonight he's got is a bluff. That's right.

42 We have legal possessions by Jesus Christ. Every believer in here has a bankbook. [Blank place on tape] from a deposit that was made at Calvary in the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah. There's where He beat Satan to pieces. That's where He robbed him, stripped him down. I can see Jesus when He died there as Emmanuel on the cross. His soul, David said (no wonder he said), " He'd not leave His soul in hell, neither suffer the holy One to see corruption."
Jesus said, "You destroy this body, and I will raise it up in three days." He was in the grave. He knowed He'd come out within seventy-two hours. He knowed He'd be out of there, for David said so---one promise---but He believed the Word of God. That's right.
Look, six hundred and something promises of divine healing, and we sit slumbering. Oh, my. Claim to be His children. Rise and believe Him. That's right.

43 I can see Him when He died. His soul went down into the regions of the lost. I can see Him knock at the door of the lost.
Somebody said, "Who is it?"
Opened the doors and there the mingling souls there in prison waiting for the day of judgment. He said, "You ought to've believed Enoch. You ought to have believed the prophets. I am the virgin-born Son of God, that Enoch said He'd come with ten thousands of His saints. I am He. I'm the One. And everything was written of Me in My Father's Word, I have confirmed it yonder on the cross. It's finished."---closed the doors. That's all of it. They had to recognize.

44 The earth knew it was Him. It shook with a great earthquake when He died. The moon and sun hid their face. The very Creator of them was dying on Calvary. The sun went down in the middle of the day. I seen Him go right on down to the doors of hell. Oh, I feel religious tonight. Look, brother, I know what I'm talking about. I'm not lost in the fog. No, sir. I know right where I'm standing. Yes, sir. And He descended right on down into the lower regions of hell, knocked on the door. Satan come, said, "Who's there?"
Said, "Open up."
"Who are you?"
"Open up."
Satan opens up says, "Ahhh, so you finally arrived, did you?" Said, "I thought I had you when I killed Abel. When I throwed Daniel in the lion's den, I thought I got you. I thought I got you when I put the Hebrew children in the fiery furnace. When I beheaded John the Baptist, I thought I had you, but now, I got you. You're here. You arrived, did you?
"Satan," said Jesus, "give Me the keys of death and hell. You don't possess them."
"Oh, yes, I do. I possess them, because back yonder in the Garden of Eden, Adam sinned."
"But," He said, "I'm the virgin-born Son of God. I come down from the Father's bosom. I've just died yonder on Calvary, and My blood's still dripping from the cross. I come down to take over. That's right. You ain't scaring nobody from this on. You was a bluff one time. You had them, but you haven't got them anymore. I'm the possessor. That's right. I will give My church the keys to the kingdom." Reached over on his side, pulled the keys off of him, smacked him in the face, and sent him back, and shut the door so hard it shook the pegs of hell in his eyes. Hallelujah!

45 He's the Conqueror since He rent the veil in two. You ain't bluffing Him. He knows where He's at.
I can see Him coming back up. It's coming towards daylight. There's some more people up there: the Old Testament saints. They couldn't go to heaven. They had to stay in Paradise, 'cause the blood of bulls and goats won't take away sin. It just covers sin. But Jesus had shed His blood that divorces sin, puts her away, wipes her out.
I can see Him. There's another place up there called Paradise. I can hear the door [Brother Branham knocks.] Somebody says, "Who's there?" Open the door: Abraham. Said, "Sarah, come here; come here, Sarah. That's the Man that I entertained that day under the oak tree." Hallelujah. There He is. That's Him.
Daniel said, "What'd you say? Well, that's the Rock that I saw hewed out of the mountain without hands."

46 There come Ezekiel say, "I seen Him, and He was in the heavens, and the clouds looked like dust under His feet."
He said, "Boys, you all have believed under the shedding of the sacrifices of blood of bulls and goats, but sin is divorced now." We're going up. Don't you remember what David said in the Psalms? 'He led captivity captive and give gifts to men.'?"
"Yes, I remember what David said. I believed it too. I know you did. Come on.
I hear Abraham say, "Lord, the God of Abraham." Oh, my! I can hear him say, "Can we make a little whistle-stop in Jerusalem?
"Yes, I got forty days. I want to instruct My disciples. They got to go in the world and cast out devils and things. I better talk to them a little while before going up. So you fellows can just walk around a little while. Hurry up now. It's coming towards daylight; be Easter morning pretty soon."

47 My, I can see the big morning star looking around over the skies, comes down like a whirlwind, hits on the grave, and open comes the grave. And angels stood there... He rose up and so did the Old Testament saints. The Bible said so. Matthew 27 says, "Many of those who slept in the dust of the earth, rose and come with Him, after His resurrection. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Hallelujah.) went in with Him after the resurrection.
My, I can see Him stand over there as they come from Emmaus; He was talking. He walked along with them and beat them back over there, walked right in the room and said, "Touch My hand, see... Give Me something to eat. Give Me a piece of bread and fish. Does a spirit eat like I eat?"

48 I can see Abraham and Sarah with their arms around one another coming down the street, said, "Sarah, the old place don't look like it used to. Nope. It feels good to be back here again doesn't it, Sarah?"
"Yes, sir, it sure does."
Caiaphas, I can see him standing there, the high priest saying, "This racket about that resur... Say, who is that, that young couple going there?"
Abraham says, "Sarah, we're recognized." Vanished out of their sight with that same kind of a body just like His own glorious body. We're going to have one, one of these days. Hallelujah. Just like He went through the wall without seeing... He vanished out of their sight.
And Caiaphas said, "I tell you, things are strange here."

49 After forty days He give His disciples to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. "These signs shall follow them that believe. In My name they'll cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink deadly things it'll not harm them, lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." While He was saying that, the last address to His church, He was taken up, up, up. There went the Old Testament saints with Him. Oh, what a jubilee time.

50 After He got out of sight of these earthbound people, I can see Him turn His back then to the earth, start marching on, the Old Testament saints coming with Him. Oh, my! They passed the moon. They passed the sun. They passed the highest star. Hallelujah. I can see them coming in sight of the great pearly white city. I can hear the Old Testament saints saying, "Lift up, ye everlasting gates, and be ye lifted up, and let the Prince of glory come in." Hallelujah, glory!
I can hear the angels on the inside of the wall say, "Who is this Prince of glory?"
I can hear the Old Testament saints, "The Lord of hosts, mighty in battle." And they press the button and the gates swing open. Here comes Jesus right down the street, the Conqueror with all of His tribes. Hallelujah. Victor, He led captivity captive and give gifts to men. Right down the streets of the New Jerusalem, walked right up in the presence of the Father, said, "Father, here they are. They died in good faith, waiting for My blood."
He said, "Climb up here, Son, and sit on My right hand, till I make all Your foes Your footstool."

51 You think I'm crazy, don't you? If I'm crazy, let me alone; I'm happy this way. Amen. I tell you, brother, it's something that'll make the saints of the living God [unclear words] make my foes a footstool.
Kind heavenly Father, bless every man and every woman in here tonight, get glory out of the service, baptize freshly with the Holy Ghost. I pray that You'll heal every sick person in the building tonight. May Your Spirit come upon them, may signs and wonders be done. If I did wrong by preaching, excuse me. Send the Angel of God, anoint Your servant, and send a great prayer line through here, Lord, that they'll know that God is in His people. I ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.

52 What prayer cards did you give out? H? H, what? 1 to 100? Give me H. Who's got H, prayer card H-1? Let's see your hands real quick now. Let's see who's got H-1 to 25, right here. H-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, on up like that. Play for us if you will, sister. Give us that song [unclear words] all right. Amen. I feel like there's a storm coming. Amen. All right, go right ahead, sister. Amen. Go ahead, anything you want. Go ahead; that's fine. Keep playing.
[Blank place on tape] No, sir, said, "What makes them get emotional?"
I said, "There's something making them emotional, that's right." It's the power the unseen power of the Holy Ghost baptizing every person.

53 Here not long ago up at Gary, Indiana, I was up there in a meeting; and a fellow took me over to show me their big mill. And I was looking down there how pretty it was; we were standing way up on a big cupola like this or, up a big place here looking, and a little old whistle blowed five minutes before quitting time. Every man throwed his blanket up like that ... or, his little thing he wore around him, little apron, and he went to sweeping shavings out in the middle of the aisle. Every man swept his shavings out. He said, "Wait a minute, Reverend. I'll show you something peculiar."
I said, "All right, sir." And after another whistle blowed, all of them went out.
He said, "Now, watch this." He touched the button, and I heard something coming, making a roaring noise, roaring noise.
I said, "What is that?"
Said, "Just watch." It come from way from somewhere way back in the back, come right down over a trestle, a little wall, run down, and as it run through there, all those shavings jumped right up and met it, went right on out. And he took the magnetism out of it, went into the cupola, was made over again. He said, "That's the way we pick up all the scraps."

54 I said, "Yes sir." I said, "What I want to know: Why didn't all of them go? There's some more shavings there."
He said, "Well, you see, sir, they're aluminum. They're not magnetized to it."
I said, "Hallelujah!"
And he said, "Say, what's the matter with you?"
I said, "Don't get excited. I haven't hurt anyone." And I said, "Why didn't that piece of metal go there?"
Why, he said, "Sir, it's bolted down."
I said, "Glory."
He said, "What's the matter with you?"
I said, "I'm thinking about a great big magnet, sitting yonder in the sky. That's a dynamo of the Holy Ghost." And there's people down here being magnetized. If you want to be aluminum or shackled down with some creed, go ahead, but there's some people magnetized to it. Someday God's going to press the button; that magnet's coming down, and she's going yonder to be made. Hallelujah. Amen. They'll go to the cupola of God's refinery and be made creatures in Christ Jesus that'll never die again. Hallelujah. Amen. Yes, sir.

55 They'll be molded and made like unto His own glorious body. We'll never have another prayer meeting for the sick, or another one for the sinners, 'cause there'll be none. Amen. [Someone speaks to Brother Branham.] ( Okay, thank you.) Amen. Excuse me. No, don't excuse me. I don't mean that. No, sir. I feel good, and I'm just rejoicing in the God of power, who I know stands here. I know He's the same yesterday and forever.
Now, the Lord Jesus bless you, help you. I love you. And God loves you. God wants you to get well. God is in His creation. Do you believe it? God is in His Word. Do you believe it? God was in His Son. Do you believe it? God emptied Himself in Jesus Christ. Do you believe it? Jesus Christ emptied Himself into the church. Is that right? Then God's in His Word, God's in His creation, God's in His Son, and God's in His people. You believe it? Then Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Is that right? What He did then He can do now. Is that right? We love Him. We believe Him. We've got our souls magnetized with power tonight that'll take us up in the rapture.

56 Oh, my! I think of that beautiful Rebekah that afternoon, watering the camels, watering the very thing was going to take her to her bride. That's what it is. Water, and the camel represents power. And the church of the living God today is rejoicing and watering the power of the Holy Ghost, that'll pick her up someday and take her yonder to meet the Isaac in the air, for the wedding supper. Hallelujah. Amen. Do you believe it? Oh, sister, sing something for us, somebody, will you. Oh, I just can't cut off somehow. All right. Excuse me, friend ... or, I mean, I love you, friends. Amen.

Father, help us now. We pray that Thy Spirit will manifest the presence of the living God, for we ask it in the name of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Be seated now. Be reverent; believe with all your heart.

58 Do you believe, lady, sitting there with your hands folded on your pocketbook, looking at me? You're having allergies aren't you? Isn't that right? You don't have them no more now; they've left you. Jesus Christ has healed you. Believe with all your heart; don't doubt. Have faith in God. God will grant these things.
Jesus said, "If thou canst believe." Just believe with all your heart; that's all I ask you to do; have faith in God. God will grant it to you. Don't you believe that? All right, friend. Excuse me. Look, catching the ... see the Spirit going out, moving out. Pray for me.

59 I've been speaking to you on Jesus Christ: God in His universe, and God in His Word, in His Son; God's in His people also. You believe that, don't you? God is in His people. His power is here. When He was here on earth, the things that He did then He can do today. He will be the same God forever. Nothing, nothing at no time shall ever stand in His way. May His omnipotence, may His presence ever be with you all is my prayer.
The Holy Spirit hasn't come to the platform yet. It's moving over the people.

60 The little lady standing there, little checkered, little hat kind of pushed up like this, you got high blood pressure. You believe God will heal you sitting right there? If you do it, you can have it, and God will make you well. God bless you. Go on your road now and rejoice. Our heavenly Father has all power.
Some lady there is crying. She's praying. You've had a sickness, and the sickness has been a pneumonia, and it's developed a heart trouble. Jesus healed you then. You was praying, saying, "God, let Him speak to me." Isn't that right? If that isn't right... Wave your hand back and forth like this if that's right. That's right. See, I'm not reading your mind, but I heard God speak in your prayer. Jesus Christ can say prayer and hear prayer at the same time, not me, but He can. He can tell me. You're healed sister. God bless you. Had a bad case of pneumonia, didn't you? Liked to died, and it developed a heart trouble. It's gone from you now. He's made you well. God bless you.

61 Believe with all your heart. Be reverent.
How do you do, sir? Excuse me. Is this the patient? Just have faith, brother. The only thing that I know to do is to pray for you. That's all I know to do. Do you believe me to be the servant of the Lord? just a minister, just like any other preacher, just a sinner saved by grace, but Jesus Christ is in the creation. He's in the Word. He's in the flesh, and He's in His church.
And He promised that the things that He did we'd do also. And the things that He did: He knowed the secrets of the people's heart. He told them their conditions. He said, "I can do nothing unless the Father shows Me." Isn't that right?
You are bothered with a throat trouble, the esophagus of the throat---same thing. You have trouble swallowing and things; it's awful bad. You also have a trouble with your liver. It's giving you trouble. You're not from this city. You're from a place that's called P-h-i Philadelphia, not Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 'cause it's a small city. It's in the south. It's Philadelphia, Mississippi, I believe. Isn't that right? You're healed. Go back to your home and be made well. Jesus Christ has healed you.
Believest thou this? All things are possible to them that believe. Have faith in God.

62 How do you do, lady? Suppose we are strangers to each other. We do not know each other, but the Lord Jesus knows us both, doesn't He? We've never met before, no way at all of connection, just here we stand. That is true. You've had a lot of trouble; it looks ... been black. You've had a nervous breakdown. You've been very sick. And say, don't they call ... ain't your name Mary? They call you Mary, and you live at a number; it's 1505 South Sierra Vista, something like that street, yes, street. It's A-l-b-Alham..., California. You are healed. Return to your home well, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
How do you do? Do you believe me to be the servant of God? You believe that God is with His people, in His people? You believe it with... You're packing a handkerchief in your hand for me to pray over, and that goes to a loved one. And the loved one is your husband; and he has sugar diabetes; and he's not a Christian. Let me have that. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I ask that the devil leave the man for soul and body, in Jesus Christ's name. Go, rejoicing. Lay it on him, sister.
Have faith in God. God in His people, magnifying...

63 Do you want to get over the high blood pressure, sitting right back there, lady, behind the post, looking at me? If you believe that God will make you... That's right. Yes, you. Raise right up. Jesus Christ healed you. Stand up on your feet. That's right. God bless you. Go home now. You're well. Your faith has healed you, the Lord Jesus.
How do you do, lady? Do you believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, raised from the dead? Do you believe that that strange feeling that you're feeling now, a glorious satisfied feeling, comes from Him? You believe the Angel of the Lord, whose picture I hold here in my hand---do you believe that's what's moving on you at this time? Then God bless you. You know that you're at the point of death. The doctors has given you up. You have cirrhosis of the liver and also of the heart. The doctor says you can't live, but God's Word says you can. Do you believe it? In the name of Jesus Christ, I condemn death and ask for life in this woman, through Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. Amen.

64 Stand close; have faith. Come, be reverent. You believe with all your heart? Do you believe the things that comes from God's Word is the truth? I never seen you in my life. You, perhaps, never seen me, 'less you was sitting out in an audience or something. We're strangers to each other. This audience here: I told you Jesus Christ was in His people. Do you believe that?
Now, friends, I'm just about to drop here. It's just... But I want you to believe. This woman... I don't know you. I've never seen you. God knows what you're here for; I don't, but He does. But someday you and I have got to stand in His judgment to be judged. But if God will let me know what your trouble is, will you accept Jesus Christ as your Healer and whatever you have need for? You will? Will the rest of the audience do the same? Will you do it?

65 Now, look on me. I mean by that, like Peter and John passed through the gate called Beautiful, said, "Look on us." That's just to attract your attention. You're not here for yourself; you're here for a loved one, a sister, someone, a woman. And that woman has been seriously ill. She is just returned from an institution. It's a mental condition. She's returned... And she's either lived or has been in a city where there's a whole lot of orange groves around it. And there's a panoramic mountain right in behind the city like, like this towards the north; and there's a hotel there that's got a deer head---an antler, San Bernardino or something. There it is. God bless you. Go home and find her well, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Have faith. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you could be healed. Do you believe it? Do you believe it right now? Stand up to your feet just a minute. Believe with all your heart.

66 Oh, Lord, the Creator of heavens and earth, send Thy blessings upon this people. And may the Holy Ghost now sweep over this audience in the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ who is among His people tonight. And may every person in here be healed. Satan, I claim that you're defeated. You can't hold this people any longer. You're exposed; come out of here in the name of Jesus Christ. Go from...

1 I'm happy to be here again tonight to be of the Lord. May the Lord add His blessings to all that we do tonight. [Gap in the audio.] Now, we are so sorry to know that our services are ending so quickly. Sunday night will, perhaps, be our closing service. And we are trusting that God will give us the greatest meeting we've ever had. Usually since the last night is ... the people always come in bigger crowds, always much more people come through, the anticipations are rising. And then they know they must come then, and it usually produces more healing than all the rest of the meetings. And we trust it'll be so this time.
Now, we're going to pray for the letters. And now, when you get these letters, now, place the handkerchief, on your underneath garment. If there's any sin in your life, ask God to forgive you. And ask if there's anything that you have done wrong, go make it right. And if your pastor believes in healing, have him there with you. But if there's no pastor near, get some of the Christians in the neighborhood in, and pray, and believe, and then act as if it's already done. You remember that faith without works is dead. It will do no good.

2 Now, when you become a Christian, you come and confess Jesus to be your Saviour. You believe it. When you go outside, your critic friends, they say, "I don't see no difference in you." But you believe there is. Then you go acting like there is. Then after awhile everybody knows there is.
See, Jesus is a High Priest of our confession. He can't do nothing for you, till first you accept it, and confess that it's already done. And He will make your body, your nature, come in subject to His Word. Do you understand now? You must act just like it's already done.
I remember when I was so sick, the best doctors I knew of, they said I couldn't live. I had stomach ulcer that was bursted, and they said that one mouthful of solid food, I would take acute indigestion, and would die in a few moments. I was reading the Bible; He said, "When you ask anything, believe you receive it."

3 I went out telling people I was healed. When I'd swallow my food, it would try to come back up. I'd say, "Oh, no!", hold my hand over my mouth, and swallow it back again. God promised.
I'd go down the street. They'd say, "Hello, Brother Branham. How do you feel?"
I'd say, "The Lord has healed me. Praise the Lord."
Here come a big mouthful up; I'd swallow it back. I said, "Satan, if you don't like to hear me testify, you might as well go, for I believe Jesus told the truth. But, if you want to stay around, you'll sure hear me testify of His healing power."
The first thing you know, it was all gone. And when I went to show the doctor, he said, "Well, did you change doctors?"
I said, "Yes, sir."
He said, "Who are you going to now?"
I said, "Doctor Jesus."
He said ... he scratched his head, he said, "I don't believe I ever heard of him." Said, "Where's his office?"
I said, "In glory." That's where His office is, but His power is here.

4 Let us pray for these handkerchiefs. Now remember, God hears your prayer, the same as He hears my prayer, the same as anyone's prayers.
Now, what if your little baby was sick? What if this was for your old blind father? You'd want somebody to be real sincere. Now, you be sincere, and I'll be sincere, and Jesus will keep His promise. Shall we pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, we bring these to You tonight in the name of Thy Son. And we pray, Father, that You'll look down from heaven just now, and see the faith of this people. And as these handkerchiefs return to the ones that have sent them, we pray, that You will heal their bodies. Now, we ask this blessing in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Now, we will read the Scripture from Saint John 14: 1 to 9, including 9. [The interpreter reads John 14:1-9:]
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

5 We want to use a text out of here, the seventh verse: "Show us the Father, and it will sufficeth us." Sufficeth means "to satisfy." Now, that has been the human heart's desire since the world began: if they could only see God.
Job of old, he said something on this order, "If I could only go to His house and knock on His door!" His heart was hungering for God, and God revealed Himself to Job. And all through the age, people are trying to see God. Do you believe God can be seen? I believe He can. And if I can prove that tonight, will you accept Jesus as your Saviour and believe that He's here? Will you do it? God bless you.
Now, we have to hurry. Tomorrow night ... or, Sunday night, rather, I'll try to take a little time to speak to you. And Sunday afternoon is: my boyhood's life story.

6 Now, let's look at God. Surely, if God is real, as we say He is, something ought to declare Him. If we can just open our eyes, you can see God.
Now, like when Elijah was down at Dothan, he had a servant with him, named Gehazi; and Gehazi didn't see visions, but Elijah saw visions.
He would be in his house, and he would know what the King of Syria was going to do. So, one day they were ... one night they were asleep down at Dothan, and when Gehazi got up early the next morning, he went out, and all the armies of Syria had surrounded the city. And he came running in and said, "All around the city is surrounded. But the prophet, true, right, said, "There's more with us than there is with them."
He looked around, Gehazi did; he couldn't see nothing. Elijah put his hands forth, and said, "God, open this man's eyes."

7 And when his eyes come open to see the spiritual world, all around that old prophet was angels. The mountains was on fire with angels of chariots of fire. See, there's a world right here now, in this building, are legions of angels.
Jesus said in the Psalms, through David, that the angels of God are encamped about those who fear Him.
So, look at the believers here, those who fear God; so the angels are everywhere. Now, if you can just worship God, and open our eyes, you'll find out that God's all around us.

8 Now, by God's help, I'm going to try to prove that God is right here. Now, the first we're going to talk about, is God in His creation. And next, God in His Word; the next, God in His Son; and next, God in His people; and let's see if we can see Him.
Sometime ago, on the pla... in my home city, there was a little boy. He used to stay down at the river all the time with an old fisherman---had a great white beard. And one day, he was up the river, and there came up a rain. And when the rain ceased, all the leaves was washed off pretty, the flowers putting out perfume, and the old fisherman was rowing down the river with his boat. And back in the east, there came a rainbow. And when the old fisherman kept looking at the rainbow, the tears started running down his cheeks, and he said ... raised up his hands, then put it down on the oar. The little boy, sitting in the stern of the boat, he ran up to the old man, he said, "Sir, I'm going to ask you something that my preacher could not answer. I asked him if anyone can see God."
He said, "No."
Said I asked my Sunday school teacher.
She said, "No."
And said, "I asked my mother, and she referred me back to them." Said, "Sir, I'm going to ask you."

9 And he pulled his oars in, and took the little boy in his arms, kissed him on the forehead, patted him and said, "God bless your heart. Honey, all I've seen for the past thirty-five years has been God."
He had so much God in his heart, he could see Him out there. So is it now. You get God in here, and you can see Him out there. Who could say there is no God, and think of this world standing in space, timed so perfectly, you can tell many, many years away, just when there's going to be an eclipse of the moon. All your fine watches here, they fail, but the sun never fails. God times it.
Go out here to the ocean, watch those big angry waves as they angrily push towards the shore. They'd cover the whole earth if they could. You know they did once in the days of Noah, but why can't they again? God said to the moon to watch the boundaries of the sea. When the moon turns its head, the tide goes out. When it turns its head back, the tide follows it. The moon is a good watchman. See God? If not, the world would just go right out and be covered over with water. What would happen if this world would spin just a little bit out of its orbit, away from the sun? We'd be an iceberg in one minute. What if it went into the sun? It'd burn up the next minute. Why doesn't it? God has said. God is in His universe.

10 I don't believe that anybody could look in the face of a flower and say there's no God. If he does, there's something mentally wrong with the person. How is one red, the other one white, and the other one yellow, and it's all the same flower, same kind. Where does the color come from? The same sun that shines on the white one, makes the red one red. Where does that color come from? God.
Do you believe God is in His universe? Say, "Amen."
Can you see a rainbow without thinking of what God said? That many colors in the rainbow; it's a covenant. Before the antediluvian destruction it wasn't there, but God put the humidity in the earth now; that makes it that way. Take a three-cornered piece of glass, turn it into the sun, it will produce seven perfect colors.

11 The reason our sins are covered by blood, blood is a danger sign to us ... red is a danger sign to us, but it's also a sign of redemption. There's a red streak of blood winding its way all the way through the Bible. You can take red, and look through red, at red, and it looks white. Red through red looks white. Though your sins be as scarlet, God looks through the blood of Jesus, they're as white as snow. Hallelujah.
He doesn't see sin anymore. When you confess your sins, and took the blood of Jesus, sin problem is over. God is looking through red, and you look white as snow.
Some time ago, in my homeland... I'm a hunter, and I ride much on a range with cattle. And one year, I was way up in the mountains. I just love it. My mother is a half Indian. There's enough about me to make me love nature. I can see the sunset, I weep. See it rise, I can weep. The great white-capped mountains, beautiful. Man hasn't touched it. That's the way God made it. To me, it's prettier than all the big houses in the world. House is what man made. Mountain is what God made. I like what He likes.

12 Way up high I was this year, and I was about sixty miles from any human being, and I had left my horse way down the mountain. The snow hadn't come yet. So, I was hunting elk, and they were up high yet. I was walking along with my rifle; I could feel God. The whispering of the trees, the wind blowing through the pines, it seemed to sing a song like this:
There's a land beyond the river,
That they call the sweet forever,
And we only reach that shore by faith's degree;
One by one we gain the portals,
There to dwell with the immortal,
Someday they'll ring the golden bells for you
and me. (And they will someday).

13 There come up a storm. I had to get behind a tree, and it rained hard. The wind blew, and then after it quit blowing, the ice was hanging all over the trees. I walked from behind the tree, and the sun was setting in the west. Its great eye was looking through the crevice in the rock. I raised up my hands, I said, "Great Jehovah, I see You looking through the sunset."
I looked back this way, and the sun against the icicles made a rainbow. I could see God in the sunset, I could see God in the rainbow, I could hear God in the wind. Then I heard the elk herd holler. Then I heard the old gray wolf holler, its mate answered at the bottom, then I begin to ... heart beat hard. The wild, I love it. Something in it; to see godly. And I set down my rifle, and I raised up my hands, the tears running down my cheeks, and I began to sing praises to God. I got real happy, and I run around and around the tree. If somebody would have been out there, they'd have thought I was out of the insane institution. I didn't care what people thought; God was all around, and I was worshipping Him, like David, who danced before the ark.
And then when I heard something ... in America, we have a little squirrel, a little bitty fellow. Oh, he's so noisy. And he jumped up on a little stump, and he began to go, "Chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter."

14 And I wondered what he was barking at. I thought I might have excited him, but I seen him look down in the brush, and I looked coming up out of the bushes, and the wind had forced a big eagle down. That's what the little squirrel was barking at. So, the big eagle jumped up on a log, and I thought, Lord, why did You put that before me for? You're all along here, but could I see you in that eagle?
And I thought, What's this scene for?
And I noticed the big eagle wasn't afraid. I said to him, "Do you know I could shoot you?" It didn't bother him a bit. He just rolled his big eyes, and looked at me, looked back over to the little squirrel, as if to say, "Try it."

15 But I wouldn't; I admired him, because he was brave. I do not like a coward: can come to church, act like a Christian, and go out on the street, and not even testify of Jesus; hear sinful men cursing and afraid to call them down. God can't use a man like that. He wants somebody that's brave.

16 I wondered, What makes him so brave? Then I happened to notice he had two wings. He kept feeling for those wings. I thought, There it is. God gave him two wings, and he knows he could be in that treetop before I could get my rifle in my hand. I thought, Praise God. That's it. That eagle has got perfect confidence. What God give him: them two wings to fly away from his enemy.
Then what ought a man to do, that's born of the Holy Ghost, and you can feel the Holy Spirit around you, and you know you're in love with God? What do you care what the devil says, how many threats he makes?

17 I watched the big fellow. After awhile he got sick of that chattering, so he just made one big jump, flopped his wings a couple times. He was above the treetops; he didn't flop his wings anymore. Here it is: He knew how to set his wings. He didn't flop, flop, flop. He just set his wings, and he knew how to ride them airwaves. Every time the air come in, it just lifted him up. Not moving a feather, and kept lifting up. Every time the wind would come in, it would lift him up.
I began weeping. I thought, O God. That's it. That ain't running around and joining one church and another. Flop, flop here, and flop, flop there. Just set your wings, your wings of faith. And every time the Holy Spirit rides in, ride on up with it. Go on.
And he went on, and on, and on, till he become a little spot. He left that little old earthbound squirrel, sitting there, "Chatter, chatter, chatter."

18 I said, "That's it, Lord." Lift up by faith, and leave this old earthbound bunch down here, saying, "Days of miracles is past, there's no such a thing as divine healing. Jesus died and that's all of it. The Bible is a fable." Just lift up by the Holy Spirit and fly away from such stuff. Hallelujah! Way on up. God is in His creation.
Here not long ago, I'd come home, so tired. The people was all around the house, coming from all over the world, and they tried to get them to go back awhile. They wanted me to go to bed. And I woke up; I had the pillow in my hands, praying for it. I thought I was still in the prayer line. My wife come got me, led me out on the porch, and we sat down. She said, "Bill, you know you can't live long like that. You're going right on down. You have aged so in the last five years, you don't look like the same person."
I put my arm around her, and I said, "Honey, when Jesus was thirty years old, they thought He was fifty."

19 Just then some big old sand cranes went flying across. The sun was setting. They all go down to the river, and they live with their kind down there all night. Then two little robins flew up, and they went into the tree.
I said, "Dear, someday, when the sun of my life is setting, God will surely have a place for me to gather with those who love Him." That's right.
God is in His creation. Do you believe it?
We could take all night. We could see God in His nature, but let's open up to His Word. And all who believes that God is in nature, let's see your hands.
Now, thank you. Now, let's see if God's in His Word. Jesus said, that the Word of God was a seed that a sower sowed.

20 Now, you people here, you have beautiful trees, perhaps, have great apples, plums. Now look, a little tree, just about one inch high, has everything in it, all the peaches, all the apples; all that'll ever be in it is in it when it's just one inch high. If it isn't, then where does it come from?
Now, you plant the little tree as a seed, and it drinks, it drinks, and drinks and drinks. It has to drink more than its portion. And as it begins to drink, it pushes out limbs; it pushes out blossoms, pushes out apples. The only thing the tree does is drink, and it pushes out. That's the way it is with every man or woman that's born of the Spirit of God. You are acquainted in Christ Jesus, and the only thing you have to do, is to drink from His promises. It'll push out divine healing, victory, everything you have need of; it'll push out as long as you are planted in Christ Jesus.

21 Listen what I think about Him. I believe that He is the inexhaustible fountain of life, and every seed that falls in there, will certainly produce what it says. God is in His Word. He made promises hundreds of years, and it comes to pass. Everything that He says, it'll produce just what it says. Do you believe God is in His Word?
The Bible said, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." "And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."
Now, we'll read, God in the Word now. God in His Son, because His Son was the Word. That's Saint John 1.
Now, watch. Now, was God in His universe? Yes. God in His Word? Yes. Now, we're going to see if God was in His Son.

22 Now, when He was here on earth, He said He was God. He acted like God. He preached like God. He healed like God. He died like a man, but He raised again like God. God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. Do you believe that? Thank you.
Now, in this day, when they're trying to belittle Jesus... A woman just said to me, "Brother Branham, you brag too much on Jesus."
I said, "No. I can't brag enough."
Said, "You try to make Him divine."
I said, "He was divine."
Said, "No." Said, "He was a prophet."
Listen, "If He was only a prophet, we are still in our sins. He was either God Himself, or the biggest deceiver the world ever had. He was God manifested in the flesh."

23 I was glad to hear Billy Graham say that the other day, that Jesus was God. He's God manifested in flesh. A prophet's a prophet, but He was God.
Like this little gift here that I have:
Now, Jesus had the Spirit without measure, but we have it in measure. Like this: Jesus, like, has all the ocean, but this little gift I have, is just a spoonful out of the ocean. But, my friends, the same material, the same chemicals, that's in the ocean is in the spoonful. [Gap in the audio.] Jesus was God.
This woman said, she said, "Do you believe the Bible?"
I said, "I do."
She said, "If I prove that Jesus was just a man, by the Bible, will you say the same?"
I said, "If the Bible said so, for I believe the Bible."
She said, "All right."
I said, "Go ahead."

24 And she said, "In Saint John 11, when Jesus was going down to the grave of Lazarus, why, He wept. It proves then that He was a man. But if He had been God, He could not have wept."
I said, "Oh lady, you're wrong." I said, "I will admit that He was a God-man---His flesh was flesh---but God was in Him. He was a man."
Listen. When He was going down to the grave weeping, He was a man weeping, but when He stood by the side of the grave of a man being dead four days, his body was rotten, his spirit was four days' journey out somewhere, He straightened up His little body---the Bible said there's no beauty we should desire Him---but He said, "Lazarus, come forth!" And a man that had been dead four days stood on his feet, a live healthy man. That was more than a man. That was God. Amen.

25 He was a man when He come down off the mountain, hungry, looking around the tree for something to eat. That was a man hungry, but when He took five biscuits and two pieces of fish, and fed five thousand, that was more than a man. That was God.
That was a man laying in the back of a boat, so tired from healing, He couldn't wake ... they couldn't wake Him up. Out on the stormy sea, the little ship like a bottle stopper, ten thousand devils of the sea said they'd drown Him. The waves didn't wake Him up. He was tired. He was a man. But when He woke up, put His foot up on the brail of the boat, and looked up towards heaven and said, "Peace!" and looked out to the waves and said, "Be still." That was more than a man. That was God in that man.

26 He was a man when He died, crying for help on Calvary, but when He raised up Easter morning, He proved He was God. God was in His Son. Do you believe that? Say, "Amen."
God is in His universe. God is in His Word. God is in His Son. Now, do you believe God is in His people?
Look at Elijah, after he was dead and the flesh had went off his bones. They laid a dead man on his body, and God was still in them in that grave, and raised that dead man up.
Look at the Pentecostal experience. When they went up in the upper room, they were praying, they become brave, they went out into the streets, praising God. They didn't care what the people said. God is in His people.
Now, like Apostle Paul, and they put handkerchiefs on his body, sent it to the sick and they were healed.

27 There was Saint Peter, a fisherman, ignorant, unlearned the Bible said. And they laid the people in his shadow. And as many as laid in his shadow and believed, was made whole.
It wasn't Peter, neither was it Paul. It was God in His people. Right here every night you see the Spirit of God make the paralyzed stand up, all kinds of things being done, supernatural works of vision. Do you believe God's in His people? Say, "Amen." God is with His people then.
Just a moment. I want to ask you something before we start praying for the sick. You need your ... they need their eyes open. You become so earth ... people become so earthbound, just like this was the only place there was, but there's a heavenly world, too. It's all around us.

28 I was reading a story recently of blind Bartimaeus. They said that he had been blind for years. And he had two little turtledoves, and they would do little tumbles over each other, to entice tourists to give him some money.
So, his wife got sick one night. The doctor couldn't do nothing for her. So, he went out and prayed. And the little book said that he promised God, that if He would save his wife, he would take the two turtledoves and offer them for a sacrifice. His wife got well. He went and offered his turtledoves.
Later, he had a little girl. He'd never seen her, and she got sick. The only thing he had left was a lamb. Now, today the dogs lead blind people. Listen close. But them days a lamb led the blind people. So, he went out and prayed, and said, "Lord, if You'll let my little girl get well, then I'm going to offer you my lamb. His little girl got well. The next morning he went up to the temple to offer the lamb, keeping his word to God.
And the high priest come up there, Caiaphas. And he said, "Blind Bartimaeus, where goest thou?"
He said, "High priest, I go to offer this lamb. God healed my little girl, and I promised Him this lamb."
The high priest said, "No, no." Said, "Blind Bartimaeus, you cannot offer that lamb. I'll give you money. You go buy you a lamb."
He said, "No. I never told Him I'd give Him a lamb, but I promised Him this lamb. I must give Him this one."
The high priest said, "You can't offer that lamb." Said, "Bartimaeus, that lamb's your eyes."
But the old patriarch said, "Oh, high priest, God will provide a lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes."

29 About a year later, shivering in the cold, his lamb was gone, his little pigeons was gone, the cold winter was coming on; but he'd been true to God. He heard a noise, and he said, "What passes by?"
They said, "Jesus of Nazareth, He passes by."
He screamed, "O Jesus, Thou son of David, have mercy on me."
What happened? God had provided a Lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes.
He's got the same Lamb tonight for your eyes. I trust that He'll open them so you'll be able to see God in His universe, God in His Word, God in His Son, God in His people. Shall we bow our heads while we pray.

30 Heavenly Father, we thank Thee tonight for Thy goodness and mercy. Let Thy Spirit move upon this people. Just a little while and we won't see each other no more until we meet at Your feet. O God, be merciful, and pardon everyone in this building tonight of their sins. We appreciate your Lamb, the lovely Lord Jesus. Oh, may He pass by tonight and touch every heart, for we ask it in His name.
While you have your heads bowed, I wonder how many here would raise up your hand and say by this, "Brother Branham, I ask you to pray for me, that the Lamb of God will pass by me tonight, and by raising my hand I want to accept Him as He passes by me."

31 Will you raise your hand now? Everywhere. Oh, my! Literally thousands of them. How many in here now, while you put their hands down again, that you believe? You believe that Christ is here and you want to accept Him as your Saviour, God's precious Lamb? You want Him to save you from sin, and to have mercy on you. Raise your hand. God be merciful. Thousands!
O Father, God grant. My heart is stirred. God don't let a one of them perish. Give them everlasting life just now, we pray. O God, if it touches my heart, what will it do to Your great heart when You see them with their hands up? They love You, Lord. Forgive them of every sin and may from this night henceforth, may they be Yours divine. O Father God, I present them to You in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

32 Live for Him. I don't mean to be a baby, but to see people coming to Christ like that, it touches my heart. To see people coming with their hands up, I think of old blind Fanny Crosby, said:
Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Oh, I love Him with all my heart. And I love you as my brother and sister. I'm so happy to see you come to Jesus. Live for Him all the days of your life. God so wants to see altar calls, until it seems like the healing service is better after an altar call. Do you feel real good now? Say, "Amen."

33 All that raised your hands say, "Praise the Lord." Praise the Lord. Now, isn't that wonderful?
I was saying to my American brethren, "How wonderful! Won't it be wonderful when the battle's over? The arms are stacked, the sun is setting for its last time, a scream will come across Switzerland, saints of God will raise from the dead; and together we'll go in heaven, hand in hand, singing praises to Jesus. Oh, I long for that day, Christian friends, When I meet you then, we'll be speaking the same language, and we'll be talking about this night. God bless you.

34 (Brother Fendler, what [unclear words]). Oh, Brother Fendler, he speaks English, a little. I don't do it too well. He's one of your boys from here in Switzerland. He gives out the prayer cards, and I was asking him, "What cards did he give out today." He said, "D-1 to 100." So, let's send some of them up and pray for them.
Are we too late? Are we too late? If you're willing to stay, raise your hand as many as would like? Thank you.
Who has D number 1, D1, prayer card D1. You have it, lady? All right. All right, D2; all right, go over here. D3, D3. All right. Four D4, 4, 5. Who has D5? Raise your hand. All right. 6, D6, D7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25. (Let's just let them get ... now, say, let's wait a minute and let them just straighten out.)

35 Now, how many here doesn't have prayer cards? Raise your hand, you want God to heal you. All right, if you can believe, God can do it. Now, many here, along here in these cots and stretchers is paralyzed that believe that God will heal them? God bless you.
Now, you look this way. Don't look to me, but just as God's representative, and then believe God, and God will heal you. How many has been in the meetings before? Raise your hand. All right. That's fine. How many newcomers? raise your hand. Just about half.
Now look friends, I have to do this, so that you'll understand. Now notice, Jesus of Nazareth, when He was here on earth, He did not say He was a healer. He said, "I'm not a healer." He said, "It's my Father that dwelleth in Me." He said, "I do nothing, but I see what the Father shows Me by vision what to do."

36 Now, let me quote the Scripture to you. Saint John 5 and He said ... passed through the beautiful ... the pool of Bethesda; great multitudes of cripple people were laying there. He went all through them, and found a man laying on a quilt, a pallet, and healed him, went away, and left the rest of them laying there. They found a man packing his bed, and the Jews questioned him. Now, listen to what Jesus said. That's Saint John 5:19.
... Jesus ... said ... Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing in himself, but what he sees the Father doing: that doeth the Son likewise.
"The Father showeth the Son, the Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto."

37 Now, how many understands that? Raise up your hand.
Now, Jesus had power, as God gave it to Him. He would be standing in the audience of people, and people would come to Him. He would know who they were, what was wrong with them, where they come from. Many times their names He would call, the sins that they had did, many times. But Jesus said, "A little while and the world won't see Me no more, but you'll see Me, for I will be with you to the end of the world."
I believe Jesus raised from the dead. Do you believe that? Say, "Amen."
The Bible said, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

38 Jesus said, before He went away, "The same things that I do, (that is, what the Father shows Me) you'll do also." How many knows the Bible says that? Say, "Amen." That shows you've been reading the Bible. It's a little different from the regular routine of church. But, friends, we're [unclear words]. We are near the end. When Jesus comes, He'd speak from the Bible; but the Pharisees had it all picked out the way they wanted it, but they didn't have it right. But God proved that Jesus was right, by supernatural signs. Peter said so in Acts 2.
Now, I believe He's here with this people. And just as a divine gift, it does not heal anyone; it only raises your faith to a place, so you can accept your healing: the same thing as preaching the Word. But if Jesus will come here now, and do the same things that He did when He was here on earth, will it encourage you so you can go home and know that He's raised from the dead? 'Cause I think all of you accepted Him tonight, many thousands. So, I'm so happy.

39 Now, I believe that your newfound Christ will be right here to take this poor humble body, and anoint it. Remember, this microphone is a mute, unless some voice speaks through it. So am I. I know none of you, I've never seen you in my life, so I'll have to submit myself to God. He's the One who made you, and knows who you are, and knows what you're standing here for. But I could be His microphone if He wants to make me that way. Do you believe that? Say, "Amen." Let's pray.

40 Heavenly Father, now I'm not praying to this audience to hear me, but Lord that You might hear me. Anoint Your unworthy servant and let Your Spirit come upon me now. Quickly, Lord, so that they will understand and know that You're Christ, and I am your servant. O holy God, I have declared You to the people, that You're in Your nature, that You're in Your Word, in Your Son, and here in Your people. Now, Lord, declare that to be true, will You? I ask for it for the glory of God, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Christians, pray for me. I've been meeting after meeting, and just get real weak. Just at this time, the Angel of the Lord is here. God, who will judge me at the judgment day, knows that's right. All right, bring your patients, wherever they are.

41 A lady comes walking to me. I'm going to ask everyone to be seated, and be real quiet. They won't let me stay long, but I want every one of you on these stretchers tonight to be off of there. I wish I could take you off, but if God tells me about you, and tells me to call you, you do what He says. I'll assure you, it'll be just exactly the way He said. I don't care how bad you're crippled, that won't be my voice; it'll be His voice. So pray. All out in the audience, you just pray. Look this way. Be quiet.

42 Now, here stands a woman. Now, to me, as a human, she looks healthy, and she may be; I don't know.
But now if I said, "That person is crippled," why, you'd say, "Sure. Sure, I can see that. There's nothing supernatural about that."
But here stands a woman, who looks healthy. Now, what's wrong with her? There it is. And if God is here, He knows the woman. I don't know her. I have never seen her in my life. She has never seen me, I guess. We're strangers, but God knows both of us. We were born thousands of miles apart and many years apart. This is our first time to meet. But I'm looking at the woman, talking to her through a sub voice. That's the same picture that our Lord Jesus, sat down at the well, and He called the woman, and said, "Bring Me a drink." He began to talk with her, till the Father showed Him where her trouble was, and He went right straight and told her.

43 She said to Him, "I believe you're a prophet." Said, "I know, and we're taught that when Messiah comes, which is Jesus, He'll say things then. He would have knowed I had five husbands. But who are You?"
Jesus said, "I am He."
That was Jesus then. The Bible said He's the same today. Do you believe that? Raise your hand. You believe it?
Now, I do not know you. If God will let me know, by the same Spirit that was on Jesus Christ, and is in the church, and will be till Jesus comes, will you accept your healing then, or whatever you're waiting for?

44 Now look on me. I see the woman, and she's got someone around her. It's doctors. And they are doing something to her breast. She's had a breast operation, and it didn't do no good. It's back bothering her again, for they never got it all. She was advised to come here, and be prayed for, and be made well. Those things are true. If it is, raise your hand. How did I... That wasn't me. That was my voice. I don't know what I told you. This is God talking to you through a human voice. You believe now? Come here. Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover."
Lord God, have mercy upon this woman and let Thy Spirit heal her of her problem. I bless her in Jesus Christ's name. Amen. God bless you.

45 Would you come near? The little lady has a black spirit around her, which is death following her. The woman is suffering with a condition in the stomach, and it's also a cancer, and it's gone down into her female organs, and they are very bad. That is true. Raise your hand if it's true. Do you believe He will make you well? Come near.
O God, be merciful to her and take this evil from her, and may she be made well, through Jesus Christ name. Amen. God bless you.
Do you believe? There hangs the Angel of the Lord. The lady's looking right towards me. She has liver trouble. She's looking right over the top of this lady's shoulder. Do you believe lady? The second row back. Do you believe with all your heart? That's right. Stand up, lady. That's it in the checked dress. You have liver trouble. Raise your hand. You're healed. Your faith made you whole.
You want to know how I knew that? When I was talking to the lady a few moments ago, she had a spirit of death. And you thought, when I told her what was wrong, the same thing was wrong with you, but it wasn't in her liver. It was in yours, and you started to pray. And I got real weak, I turned around, there was that light over you, and I saw the light around you. Death is gone and life has come in. Your faith has healed you. God bless you.

46 Have faith. You don't have to be up here. You have to have faith in God. Now, I know I got critics sitting back here. Now listen, friend, that can come on you. It left the woman, and it can come on you just as easy; and frankly, it has. You'll find out. We're not playing.
Remember in the Bible how that happened? It's still Bible days. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Here stands a man before me. I do not know him. I never seen him. We are strangers. If that is true, raise your hand. Jesus knows you, and He can tell me what you're here for. And if He will, will you accept Him as your healer? If you will, raise your hand. I see you're on a cane, but I don't know why. Now, look on me, and believe me to be His prophet. The man is troubled in his back. He has been to a place to operate, one, two, three, three operations, in his back. The man is a minister. He is a minister of the Gospel, and he has got a ... Pentecostal. And he has his wife here with him, and his wife has gall bladder trouble, and she has back trouble, and she's standing right out there. Go home, preach the Gospel, and be well. God bless you.
Let us say, "Praise the Lord." Hallelujah!
If thou canst believe, all things are possible.

47 You bring the lady. Have faith. Come near. That's all right. You believe? I'm a stranger to you.
The Angel of the Lord is hanging over a woman, and she is a little woman sitting back here. She's got on a polka dot dress. She has got a blue hat, and she has arthritis. Would you stand up, lady? A little lady looking at me, right back here. That's right, lady. You with your hand up to your mouth. Believe with all your heart. That's right. You have arthritis. If that's right, raise your hand. Raise up your hand. Believe with all your heart. That you might know if you want to see you get the right woman. The woman, in her pocketbook, has a letter. It has a little cloth in it that I prayed over. Raise up your hand now, sister. That's right. All right. Go home, and be well. Jesus makes you well.

48 Do you believe with all your heart? Do you believe that God is here? I am a stranger to you, but Jesus knows you. And Jesus can make you well. You are suffering with heart trouble, and you're real nervous. And the reason you're nervous is because you got lots of sorrow. You've been real sad. You have lost someone; it's a daughter. And your daughter was captured by German soldiers, called Nazis. You say that you [unclear words]. And you just had a dream. And you dreamed that the daughter was here, was alive. That is true; raise your hand. Go, and may God grant you your request.
Let us say, "Praise the Lord."

49 Dost thou believe with all your heart? Do you believe that God is here to make you well? The man sitting right here on the second row back, he has got heart trouble. Stand up. The Lord bless you.
Here, right down here with that lady below you, looking over a man's shoulder, there in the aisle below you. The lady has a bad spirit. It's epilepsy. And the lady looking at me, sitting right here, looking over the man's shoulder, do you believe with all your heart, Jesus makes you well? Amen.
The lady has a death spirit; it's a death spirit. It is cancer, and it's on the breast. You believe Jesus makes you well? Have faith.

50 The man sitting here, trying to look over the heads. He has got trouble with his eyes, and he's had trouble with his eyes since he was a little baby; sitting right here. Stand up, sir. That is right: the man with the glasses on. And you have had trouble; you had an accident once. That is right. Believe God, and God will make you well. Your faith does it. God bless you.
Second lady down there has arthritis, just below you, just below, raise up to your feet. Jesus Christ makes you well. Hallelujah! That spirit is pulling from the audience. There's so many places it's pulling from, I just can't see where it's all at.
Every person that's in the building that has got cancer stand up; everyone that's got cancer stand up. Yes, sir. Jesus Christ make you well. Everybody else stand that's got cancer. Here, oh, stay up, stay up.
O God, Jesus of Nazareth, I rebuke these demons of cancer; they're calling for help. But, I know that You rebuke them, and they'd get well in Jesus' name. Amen.

51 That was you that's the building, [Gap in the audio]. Satan, in Jesus' name come out of the people. Amen.
It's light over the whole building! You're healed. Praise be to God! Amen! Go, rejoice! Amen. For it's new. It's something wonderful. The darkness just starts gathering over the whole building, and when we pray, it all leaves. It's wonderful. Oh, we thank the Lord.
The lady, she stands, she has trouble in her back ... kidney in her back. All that's got kidney trouble, stand up to your feet. O, Jesus, Son of God, be merciful. I condemn the devil by the blood of Jesus. Come out, Satan, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Oh, wonderful! I'm not a fanatic; I'm telling the truth. The Holy Spirit is healing people by masses.

52 Let's say, "Praise the Lord." (All right. You can go now.)
Do you believe with all your heart? Heart trouble, in the heart, everyone with heart trouble, stand up. There it is. All that wants to be healed, stand to your feet.
O God, the Author of life, send Thy blessings. And I rebuke every unclean spirit, all the sickness, all the diseases, all the heart trouble, all the other diseases, all the afflictions. And oh, great God, who raised up Jesus, have mercy at this time and heal everybody in the building. I condemn the devil and cast him out, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
And the people said, "Praise the Lord."
All that wants to be healed, give God praise. There sits a lady, with a white coat over the back of her. It is an old woman. Look, she's had a stroke. Stand up! Jesus makes you well. Say, "Praise the Lord." Raise up to your feet and give God praise, in Jesus' name.

1 Thank you, brother, the Lord bless you. Good evening, friends. I deem this a great privilege to be here this afternoon in the service of the Lord God. And these three days have meant much to me, to come around, meeting old friends and finding new ones. That's the way that life moves on for us, is just meeting new ones and enjoying the friendship of old friends. And then, down through Grande Prairie and also up here, I have found a real reverence amongst the people, and an anticipation for a revival. That's what you need is a real spiritual revival, pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon the people.

2 And then I got to meet some of my old friends. Chris Berg, he's here somewhere, or usually is, and I was expecting to meet Milo ... yes, Brother Durney, glad to see you sitting in here. Very fine. Mr. Durney was my guide the last time when we went on hunting. My friends here remember, many times I was talking of it. I hear you had a little siege of sickness since then. Well, the Lord that I was talking about there is still the same God, the great healer. How's Della? Doing all right? That's fine. Mr. Durney was really a little piece of iron, I tell you, when... He was about seventy years old, I suppose, when I was up here and he was really ... I was surprised to see the real strength in that man at that age. Anywhere Chris and I could go, he was right there ahead of us.

3 And a man cannot live out in a place like that without knowing God. So I couldn't stand and look up in the mountains without seeing the face of God somewhere. And I've often prayed for my friend Chris, Mr. Durney, and them. Some day when life is all finished, along the game trails up there in the never-ending forest, I hope to meet you brethren up there, renew our friendship. You'll find me along some of the game trails up there. I'll be looking around. I'll meet all you, my hunter friends and trapper friends, up there some day. Until then we want to stay in the harness for our Lord.

4 I was on my road going ... had a little vacation coming, which, it's been six months in the field and it sure has worn me out. And I thought I'd take a little vacation and come up north here and see if I could catch one of those grayling you brethren were talking about, and maybe see a bear along the road. So I rode up, and they got the arrangements made with your pastor. The Lord willing this afternoon, or early in the morning, one, we're going off for a few days of rest out in the wilderness, try to return again into the field of the Lord.
I thought it wouldn't be nice, even though being tired and weary from six months straight in the fields... And my work is international, as you know, worldwide. And I thought it would be fine if I'd come by and visit my friends here in Dawson Creek and Grande Prairie. And I want to thank the Lord for what great fellowship we've had together, with the pastors and the men of like precious faith, in one accord and all loving the Lord, and many of you people.

5 Billy was telling me, when I come in, that they give him a love offering this afternoon. I believe that was right. I certainly didn't want you to do that, my brother, sister. I come just to visit with you. And I appreciate it, though. One time ... I was thinking the other day, they gave me one (some of you Grande Prairie people are here). I didn't even know it was done until Mr. Sothmann told me on the road home, and I didn't even have a chance to thank the precious people. Well, to the best of my knowledge, to the kingdom of God it'll go, for the best that I know how. Thank you very kindly. And I believe it's written in the Bible, Jesus said, "Inasmuch as you have done unto the least of these my little ones, you have done it unto me." I'm that one, the least.

6 I'm fifty two years old, been preaching thirty years, never took an offering in my life. Never took a penny in my life, take up an offering. I always worked, made my living, and once I come this way, why, I never... Just go into the cities, and they pay the expenses of the meeting. I mean the big auditoriums, where you have to get thousand, two, dollars a night. Why, they just take care of it and I don't have to have it. Always when He gives me anything, why, there's always a place to put it, so you know what I mean by it. I like to live by faith. That's what we're supposed to do, live by faith.

7 I see two handkerchiefs laying here on the platform, or the pulpit, to be prayed over. Now, that is not a superstition; that's a scripture. That's the Bible. Many of you maybe would want a prayer cloth. That's one of the greatest ministries I have now. Here some time ago I was amazed ... a lady in Germany. I send thousands of those around the world. And a lady in Germany had had arthritis for about twenty or twenty-five years. And I missed catching her in Germany, we had so many---just thousands time thousands poured from everywhere, up in Czechoslovakia and everywhere. So, overseas it's not like it is here. The cities or the country's small, and many people, and a meeting like that just attracts them everywhere.

8 And so there was a little German woman. She got the instructions on the little prayer cloth, and it says on there to call in your friends, or your pastor, if you can; if not, one of the neighbors. Confess all your wrongs, and ask God to heal you, and place it on you, and then believe. And the little German woman, it was amazing. She put it on her underneath garment like it was instructed. She had the neighbors come in and pray. She confessed all of her wrongs, and when she got it on there she put her hand over her heart. She said, "Now, old man devil, you get out of me," and right up she got, and went walking across the floor, after being in that wheel chair for twenty some odd years.
It's just that simple. You know there's many times that we try to reach out for something, for a certain kind of a faith, and you don't have to have some kind of a super faith to be healed. The only thing you have to have is just take the faith that you've got.

9 You know in the Bible the blood was applied to the doors by hyssop. Our clergy brothers know that. Hyssop is just common weeds. And what it is, the people today are trying to reach to find an orchid to apply the blood with, and it's not even applied by an orchid. It's applied by hyssop. Common, just every-day faith, just like ...

10 you don't have to have any super faith. How did you come here? How do you know you're going to leave? How can you drive your car? How do you know you can move your hand? Well, you just subconsciously do it, because you believe you can do it. Now that's the way you believe for your healing. It's just settled, and that's just all.
It doesn't take some high education, some super-duper something. It just takes common faith in God. Just believe it, like you would if your mother said she would get something for you. Just believe it like that. They took the blood... Hyssop, usually they find it growing in the cracks of the walls in Egypt and Palestine. They had adobe walls and the hyssop would go up it. It's a little three cornered leaf and they just pull it off like that, dip it in the blood, apply it to the door. Well, the blood, of course, being applied, we apply it by faith. And faith is common, just like hyssop, just common weeds. Just believe it and it's all over.

11 Now, if any of you would desire to have a little prayer cloth and you do not have it up here, if you'll just write to me, any time, I'll be glad to send it to you. Just William Branham, Jeffersonville, Indiana, and it'll come to me. And if you want one just to keep in your Bible, on Acts 19, in case of something happens, well, just send. There's no charges to nothing. We don't charge for anything. Everything's free, so just send and get it. We'll be happy to send it to you, most happy. And it's a little cloth that I have prayed over and asked God to heal you and to help you.
Oh, I could spend the afternoon just telling outstanding things that He has did through that, mighty things. But we know that people has to have their building here tonight, and we don't want to keep you too long. And it's kind of a little tight in the building, and you're pretty well packed in.

12 And so now we want to also thank our ministering brethren with all of our heart, to all you laity and to your fine cooperation, and I want to thank the city, the policemen and so forth.
I'll have to say this on my southern friend here, Mr. Evans. I ought to have him come up and speak a little bit so you could hear how Southerners really talk. You think that I say it bad. He come into a filling station, he said, "Could you tell me where there's a motel?"
That Englishman looked at him real strange. He said, "Yes, I've got some old tires over here." Old tires.
He went out and said, "I want some ice cream."
The man said, "Sure," reached over and got him a box of aspirin and give it to him. So we are very grateful.

13 He said...
The other day I was standing in the sportsmen's shop over here, a very fine gentleman talking to him, and we were looking at their trophies. I was trying to tell Brother Evans how much bigger those moose was than his rabbits down in Georgia. So we were looking at the big trophies hanging there, and so he said, "Somebody's getting a ticket."
So it was Mr. Evans, so he run out, said, "Wait just a minute, brother."
He said, "Never mind, never mind," said, "I'm just giving you a ticket, 'Welcome back to Dawson,' a courtesy ticket."
And he come in. With his southern talk, he said, "Brother Branham," he said, "I sho' wish I could take one of those down to Georgia for seed. They're not quite that friendly when you cross the line down here."

14 So you have a wonderful country here, a wonderful people. And got one of the most soundest countries, and if the Lord Jesus tarries, in fifty years from now this nation will lead the world. You have got natural resources, your hills are full of gold and silver; you got iron, minerals, potash, calcium, all kinds of natural resources, wood. But you haven't got many people. New York City has 296,000 more people, in the state of New York, than there is in all the Dominion of Canada, see. All the full Dominion of Canada, 296,000 more people. So you got plenty of space. And Canada is one and a third or two-thirds bigger than the United States. You've got the natural resource, but you just haven't got the people, so thank the Lord for that.

15 See, you still ... if I'm selling wheat and swapping it to you for rice, but when I run out of wheat, what are we going to do? Our states has run out of natural resources. You've got it. So God bless you with it. Got a good sound government, and your banks are all owned by the government so there's no Wall Street clash here. And your little children has got a great opportunity. You got much to offer them, more than we could in any other place in the world as I know of.
My friends, I'm not here to tell you that. You know that. But I'm here to tell you something you can offer your children anywhere---that's the Lord Jesus Christ. He's the main thing, because one of these days as great as this little nation is, she'll fall just as certain as anything. She's got to, to give way to eternity. But give your children Christ. He is the hope, the only solid hope that we have.
God ever be with you now, as we bow our heads just a moment before approaching the Word.

16 I believe the Word with all my heart. I believe it's God's Word. So let's approach the author before we ask his blessings upon us.
Almighty and gracious God, who brought from the dead on the third day the Lord Jesus, thy Son, which has freely by his grace forgiven our sins and healed our sickness, to Him we give glory forever and ever. We are happy to be a visitor today among these precious Canadian people. We do not feel that we are strangers, but we are fellow citizens with them in the great economy of God. We thank Thee for this, that together we will stand as a united front for the kingdom of God, teaching all men and all nations to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Thou hast commissioned us to go into all the world and disciple all nations. And as citizens together today we join our faith and our hopes and our prayers for the people that's here.
And by the gathering today, if there be some here, Lord, who does not know You as their Saviour, may this be the day that they will make that all-sufficient decision, that "Jesus is my Saviour from today on."

17 If there are those here, Lord, who are sick and afflicted, may your presence be so strong and so predominant over unbelief that every person in here will be healed. Grant it, Lord. May there not be one feeble person in our midst at the close of this service.
Heavenly Father, as we separate this afternoon from the service to go to our different homes, I don't know, this may be our last gathering time this side of eternity. And if it be so, Lord, if it's so to be that way that we will not assemble again together, no doubt if I should return, if I would live and return a year from today, many will be missing. Then, Father, what type of a person should we be? How should we approach the people, knowing maybe this is our last meeting time? With the deepest of sincerity, with all of our hearts, and our conscience sprinkled with the blood of the Lord Jesus, may we approach his Word in faith and reverence.

18 Then may something be done this afternoon that'll cause the children of God to grow closer to You.
And I know sitting here today, Father, in this building there are ... many of these are what we would call frontiersmen. They are settlers, or children of the settlers. They have worked over the soil. And coming up along the trail the other day, look out there and see papa and mama and little bare-footed children, pulling the old snags out of the swamps, piling them together, trying to get some seed in the ground so they can have food to eat the coming year. My heart burned. I thought, "O God, give to them a home eternal where there won't be any snags to clear away, where they'll not plant and another eat thereof, but they'll live forever in their eternal home, their little ones to be with them. Grant it, Lord."

19 Many are sitting here who knows what it means to go down a game trail, up through the forest, see the sunrise and the sunset, know that in the times of trouble that some mysterious catch that God helped them, and in tight places. I love them, Father. They are my brethren. As I expressed to my good friends sitting here today, I hope I meet them all some day, along some great game trail in glory. May we meet with all those who we love, and have fellowshipped together with here on earth. And if any be not ready for that, may they be prepared today. Get in the Word, Father, and plant the seed into our hearts that we might have eternal life, for we ask it in the name of thy beloved Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

20 I almost just have to start on the Scriptures because you're such a nice people. And I don't say that just to be nice. I say it from my heart. If I said it any other way, I'd be a hypocrite. And I'd rather meet God an infidel than a hypocrite. I want to read a scripture for you, because I believe that what I would say might fail because I'm a man, but what He says will never fail. "Heavens and earth will pass away but my words shall not fail." And the only way that we can approach God with assurance is coming by his Word, for He promised to honor it. In St. John 14:8,9
Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
And Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long with you ... knowest not me, Philip?
I'd draw for a context from there, "Show us the Father." That's the cry of the human heart, has always been. Since we know that there is a God, every mortal has tried to look past the curtain of time to find out if they could see where they come from, what's their business here, and where will they be after they leave here.

21 Now, we know we come from somewhere and we're here for some cause, and we're going somewhere. And there's not ... of all the literature in the world there's only one book who can tell you where you come from, who you are, and where you're going and that's this Bible. So we approach Him this afternoon.
Even the oldest book in the Bible, Job, when he was broke out with boils, looked like everything had gone against him, and his Christian, or his religious, friends said, "Job, you've done evil." Many people want to say because somebody's sick that they did evil. That's not the truth. Job was a perfect man. God said so. But sometimes God lets affliction hit his people to test them for their faith. He was testing a saint, not rebuking a sinner. And God does that to test.

22 Jesus said, the Scripture says, "Every son that cometh to God must be tried." Tested, child-trained, and then they're proven to be right children of God.
And now in Job's case when all his riches was taken from him, and all of his children was taken, all of his friends turned their back upon him... Sat seven days accusing him of being a secret sinner, yet Job knew he was not a sinner, because he stood firm on what God had promised. God required the burnt offering, and Job had offered it for he and his children; and he knowed he was justified, because he had offered God's appropriate offering.

23 How we could draw from that today. When we know that we come in the presence of God with faith, believing, there's nothing going to change that. God said so and that settles it.
Then when he got so in his distress, and sat on the ash heap scraping his boils, his body was broke out in boils, and his wife said, "Job, why don't you curse God and die?"
Now, he never called her a foolish woman. He said, "You speak like one." He said, "Thou speakest like a foolish woman. The Lord gave and the Lord taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord." He would not curse God. He knowed that he hadn't done... He said, "I came into the world naked, and naked I shall return."

24 Then when the Spirit came on the prophet and he begin to see the Just One coming, he was trying to find a place where he could go and knock at his door and say, "I would like to talk to you a minute. I've got some problems I'd like to talk over. Why am I sick? Why am I suffering like this? If I could only find his door where I can knock on his door, I would like to explain it to Him."
Then finally God spoke to him in a whirlwind, said, "Gird up your loins like a man." And God came down in a whirlwind said, "Job, where was you when I laid the foundation of the world? Tell me where the axles is hooked on to. When the morning stars sang together and the sons of God shouted for joy, where were you, Job, if you've got so much wisdom?"
Then the Spirit came on the prophet and he saw. He said, "Oh, if I could only find somebody, some man that I could go to that had understanding, someone that I could confide in, and say, 'You are God's representative,' some man that could put his hand on a sinner and on a holy God and bridge the gap." That's the one we're looking for---someone who can put a hand on a sinner and on a holy God and stand in the breach.

25 And then being two thousand years before the Just One came, he saw a vision; and he screamed out when he did because the thunders roared, the lightning flashed. And the prophet got in the Spirit, he saw a vision.
Then he raised up and said, "I know my redeemer liveth, and at the last days He'll stand upon the earth: though the skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, mine eyes shall behold, and not another. While we brought nothing into this world it's certain we take nothing out. The Lord gave and the Lord taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." He'd found that consolation. He'd found that something, that someone who could stand in the breach, and could make intercession between a sinful man and a holy God.
I'm so glad this afternoon, church---to you, my friends, that I've expressed of your hard labor and work, and your love and fears---I'm happy today that we have also found that One that can stand in the breach and make intercession for you and I who are unworthy.

26 I would like to speak of seeing Him and just show you how simple it is.
Many times we send our pupils away, our children, to schools for highly education. And not disregarding that, God forbid---that's all right. It takes a part, it plays a part, but not the main part. Many times we educate them away from God. We'll never know God through education. You cannot. We found that out now, that it takes a person... Education is the worst enemy that the gospel has ever had. Now, just look that over and see that. Man just about thinks he can outsmart God. He cannot do it. His intellectuals is just a man. God is Spirit, infinite.

27 Now, we find ... I want to speak on seeing God. "Show us the Father and it will satisfy us." Jesus had spoke so much about his Father, and Philip was so desirous until... He had just said to them, "Now don't let your hearts be troubled because I'm fixing to leave you. You've believed in God, believe also in me." He talked about the Father's house and Philip broke out and said, "Show us the Father and it will suffice us."
He said, "I have been so long with you, Philip, and you know me not? He that hath seen the Father ... he that hath seen me hath seen the Father. Then why sayest thou, Show us the Father?"

28 Now I'd like to ask this afternoon, would you like to see God? Would you like to really see this One that we're talking about? Could He be seen? We spoke on that the first night here. But I'm going to show four different ways that we can see God. Now I'm going to speak on four subjects right quick. God in his universe, God in his Word, God in his Son, God in his people. And maybe by that we'll be able to find what is God, where He is. Is He gone on? Was He something that once lived and now has passed away? No, sir. He said, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. Lo, I am with thee always, even to the end of the world. Yet a little while and the world seeth me no more, yet ye shall see me for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world."

29 Now, I'm going to speak first on God in his universe. Let's look around now and see if we can see Him. And if I can by the Scriptures prove that God Almighty is right here in this room this afternoon, surely it ought to settle the question of whether you'd believe Him or not. But by the Scriptures and by the evidence prove that He's right here now. You look over the top of Him all the time trying to find Him. You're jumping at something way out there when it's right here. The Bible says that God is closer to us than our arms, or members of our body, because He is part of us. He's our life.

30 Not long ago, speaking of God in his universe, I had an old man that went to my church by the name of James Wisehart. He was an old fisherman. I called him Uncle Jim. He was about ... close to eighty years old. And he used to fish, up on the river. He would come over to the church. He was a Kentuckian, and the river's about one mile across. And, oh, the fine hours that old Uncle Jim and I have had on the river together, catching those catfish. Lay out on the banks all night together and talk of God, and hold one another's hands and cry like babies.
He's over on the other side this afternoon. I expect to see him some day when I cross over. The last word I heard him say to me, when I was coming to Canada, here a few years ago, he said, "One day, Billy boy, you'll return and Uncle Jim will be gone." About two days after that he dropped suddenly and died in a heart attack, went home to meet God.

31 There was a certain church in our city that a little family went to this church. And the church was just more like a denomination that believed that ... kind of taught God to be a historical something. And so there was a little boy in the Sunday school class that got enthused, and he said to his mammy, he said, "Mother, if God is so great, why can't I see Him?"
"Why," the mother said, "Sonny, I don't know."
Said, "Can't I see Him?"
She said, "I don't know. Why don't you ask your Sunday school teacher."
And so the little boy, at the next Sunday school, said, "Teacher, I want to ask you something that my mama cannot answer." Said, "Can anybody see God?"
"Why," she said, "I don't know." She said, "Ask the pastor."

32 So the little boy, with his enthusiasm, went to the pastor, and said, "Pastor, I wish to ask you a question, that my mama or neither my Sunday school teacher can answer me." Said, "This great God that you talk about, is He not the God of the human race?"
"Yes, sonny. Why?"
Said, "If He is God, then can anybody see Him? I'd like to see Him."
"Oh," he said, "Sonny, no. No one can see God. God is not to be seen."
The little lad was disappointed. So he used to go up on the river with old Brother Wisehart to fish. One day coming down... And Brother Wisehart, with his silvertip beard, was about seventy-five years old. And they'd had a lovely catch up on the river, and was coming down. There come up a storm that run them into the bank.

33 And they went to the bank and they rested till the storm was over---got under some trees, back under the big maples, and so forth, until the storm had passed. And then after the storm was over they pushed the boat out and started down the river, and the little waves... And only an oarsman knows what it is to feel that music of the tipping of the oars against the waves, the little clatter of the waves. And the sun was setting in the west. And back in the east, from which they had come from (the little boy was sitting in the stern of the boat), and there was a rainbow come out across the sky---as God made a promise that the world would no more be destroyed with water.
And the old fisherman, as he begin pulling these oars, kept watching that rainbow.

34 And after awhile they noticed great big, glistening white tears running down his cheeks, over his grey-tipped beard. And the little boy watched the old man for just a few moments. He got so enthused he ran up into the center of the boat, fell down by the old fisherman's lap, and he said, "Sir, I'm going to ask you something that my mother or Sunday school teacher or pastor can't answer." He said, "Can anybody see God?"
The old fisherman, overcome by the question of the little lad, pulled his oars into the boat, throwed his arms around the little lad, and held him into his bosom, weeping. He said, "God bless your little heart, Honey, all I've seen for the past fifty years has been God." He had so much God on the inside of him he could see Him everywhere. That's the way you see God---get God inside of you. If you got skeptic and wonders and flusterations and doubt, you'll never see God. You've got to let God come into you, then He'll open your eyes.

35 Now, for instance, I noticed coming up the other day that all of our ducks from down in Indiana come up here to visit you people in Canada. They're a sociable sort of a creature. And they come up here for one reason---to make the nest. They'll be back down in Indiana again, down in Texas, and Georgia. They come down to winter with us. They come up here in springtime to visit you-all. And then when they (I know that's an awful word, you-all, but you remember, I'm a rebel) ... so when they come up here, they go out in the slime here in your little ponds and on your lakes, and they make their little nests. They hatch their little baby ducklings, and they swim around on this lake, until after awhile there comes a snow, comes over the top of the mountains.

36 And along about September, when that first cold breeze sweeps down across these prairies here... Now, remember, them little ducks has never been off that pond. They were born right there. And they're good-sized ducks now, mature. And there's one among them that was born a leader. God made him a leader. And the first time that breeze blows, he's never felt that before but he knows there's something wrong. What does he do? He runs right out in the middle of that pond with them little paddles, sticks that little honker up in the air, and "Honk honk, honk honk." And every duck on the pond come right to him. What will he do? Raise right up off of that pond with every duck there, and go just as straight to Louisiana as he can go.
How does he know to go? Why?

37 We say instinct, instinct leads him. Well, if instinct can lead a duck from a frozen country to safety, how much more ought the Holy Spirit lead the church of the living God? The trouble of it is that we don't recognize. We listen to our leaders that ... man-made leaders instead of a God-given leader, which is the Holy Spirit. We listen to bishops and arch-bishops and cardinals and priests, when we ought to be listening to the Holy Spirit, for that was what was given to lead the church.

38 Billy Junior, somewhere here, he and I just came into India a few years ago. And I picked up a English newspaper---which is a bilingual country. It said, "I suppose the earthquakes are over because the birds are flying back." I read the article in detail. About two days before the earthquake struck...
In India they're not as well off as you are in Canada. They have to pick up the rocks on the fields to make their houses, and make their fences, and so forth. And little birds go in there and build their nests in these crevices. And then on the fences, the sheep come in of an afternoon, the cattle, and stand in the shadow where the sun... Them direct rays of that tropical sun strikes them, and it's awfully hot. So they'd always come in in the afternoon and stand in the shadows of the walls, the big high walls. And the little birds would make their nests, and live in these coves back in the rocks.

39 But one day, suddenly all the little birds, for some unknown reason, flew away from the walls, and the cattle and sheep did not come in to stand around the walls. They knew something was going to happen. What happened? The second day they never come in. And you know how they got shade? They leaned against one another and made shade for one another. I think the church ought to learn that. You Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostals, and Presbyterians, don't you know, brethren, that we ought to be leaning against one another, leaning on one another to make shade for one another? Trying to help one another? Not trying to condemn each other; but trying to make a little shade, a little gospel shade to stand in---for it's a weary time that we're living.

40 All of a sudden about daybreak the next morning there come an earthquake, one after the other, till it shook those walls down. If the sheep had been standing around the walls, they would have perished. The cattle also. The little birds would have been in their homes and in the walls, they would have perished. But what is it? The same God that run the sheep and the cattle and the birds into the ark proves that He's still the same God in 1960. Warned his animals to flee from the wrath to come. He can also call his... I've got the clipping of it out of the newspaper that after the last roar of the earthquake, the little birds returned and the cattle returned. What is it?

41 God in his universe, God speaking to nature. Shows that He's the same God that was in Noah's time, is the same God today.
And if birds and animals can still be led by instinct, which is a God-given thing for them, how much more ought we by the Holy Spirit to flee the wrath that is to come? For we all know that our names are on a Russian hydrogen bomb somewhere. Why don't we flee the wrath? We know if we die in sin, hell would be our doom. And God---as He promised in the last days to send these same signs and wonders, that you see taking on now in the church, to be the warning signs of the last day---and we look at it and still remain in the old mud huts of the world, still stay in our unbelief. God in his universe.

42 I want to say this for my hunting partners. As most of you know, I'm a guide in Colorado. I ranched up there for years. And I used to remember times when we... The Troublesome River Valley is ... the Hereford Association grazes that valley. If you could raise a ton of hay you can put a cow on the forest---just this side of Estes Park in Arapaho Forest. But your ranch has to produce a ton of hay. And then of course you brand your cattle there. I believe you do down in Vernon, Brother Schultz, you still brand your cattle here. And that's to keep them from being mixed up.
And then they got a drift fence where the cattle comes down, so they won't drift back on private property. The ranger used to stand there. And when we'd bring the cattle up, after the early spring roundup, and bring them to put them on the pasture, we used to drive them up there. And many a time have I sat with my leg around the horn of the saddle, watch that ranger watching them as they go through.

43 Oh, there was all kind of brands. We had, I believe, we had one was called the tripod, and my neighbor was a turkey track. And the other one was Grimes, over on the other side which was the largest rancher on the valley. He had the diamond bar. There's many different brands. But you know, I noticed that ranger never paid much attention to those brands. But there was one thing he checked closely: that was the blood tag, because nothing could graze that pasture without it was a thoroughbred Hereford, because they were all registered, and he watched the blood tag. I've often thought that's the way it'll be at the day of the judgment. When we're standing there, He won't notice what brand we're wearing, but He'll look for the blood of his Son, to see if we've accepted that.

44 One year up there hunting, the snow hadn't come yet so the elk was high, and I was searching around up there for elk. And Mr. Jeffries, the boss of the ranch, he'd went back in another section, and I'd pick him up in a couple days. But we had done got our (what we call our dudes) our hunters out of the way, and so we were up high to get some trophies. And I was up high because the snow has to run those elk out. They're a wild creature. And I was walking along. And that time of year it'll snow, and then rain, and then the sun come out, and so forth. And there come a storm of rain, and I just got behind some trees, almost the timberline.

45 And while I was behind the tree, I was just standing there thinking, "O Lord, my God, I in awesome wonder, how in the stars in the skies, in the great universe, You are God." The rain ceased. Way back over in the west the sun came out through the crevice of the mountain, looked like God's great eye looking. And because of the rain and ice hanging on the evergreens there come a rainbow across the canyon. And I looked up there, and I said, "O God, it's so good to be up here. There You are in the rainbow." Just then a coyote howled up on the hill, and the mate answered it at the bottom. And how I love nature, the universe of God! I could hear God in the howl of the wolf, and I heard the big old male elk bugle, lost in the storm from the rest of the herd. And there standing there with my hands up in the air, weeping, because I could see God in the sunset, I could see Him in the rainbow, I could hear Him in the cry of the wolf for his mate, I could hear Him in the bugle of the elk for his herd. God is in his universe, brethren. Certainly is.

46 "Oh," I thought, "how can people not look at that?" I thought, "It's good to be here, like Peter said, 'Let's build three tabernacles.' " But down at the bottom of the mountain I thought, "Lord, why will I have to... ? I was born for this. I was born for the mountains. I love this, and why should I ever have to go down?" But, of course, there's sick children at the bottom of the mountain, the papa and mama that don't know God. I must leave the place and go down.
While I was standing there ... well, to you Presbyterians I guess I got emotional. To you Pentecostals, I was shouting. I got so happy until I began to throw up my hands, and I began to run around and around that tree, screaming to the top of my voice, praising God. Why? I saw Him in his universe. Sure. And I was just screaming... If somebody would've come in the woods, they'd've thought they had an insane man in the woods. But I was about thirty-five miles from civilization. I was running. I didn't care, I didn't want anybody to hear me. I was praising my God, who I could see in his universe, hear Him in his animals, see Him in his sunset, watch Him in his rainbow. Among everything, here's God.

47 He's closer than your right arm. You just fail to see Him. How can a flower grow without God? All the science in the world cannot make one blade of that fern. They can make something look like it, but they can't make that, because it's got life in it. God is the only life there is. Who can look in the face of a lily and say there's no God, and still claim to be sane? He could not have his right mind. Of all of our science, we could never build a lily. Make me a tree, somebody. You can't do it. Make me a blade of grass. You can't do it. That's God. God in his flowers, God in his sun, God in his universe, God in his animals, God in his creation. Something about it.

48 I remember one time Daddy and I were plowing. We was plowing corn. And I was just a little boy, and my horses begin to snort, so... Back in Indiana on the farm. And I said, "What's the matter?" They were looking up. I said, "Perhaps an animal is coming."
Oh, I see my old dad, he was about then about thirty years old, I suppose, maybe thirty-five. He stopped. He said, "Billy, my son, I want to tell you something." He said, "Those horses do not see any-thing." Said, "But you know what's fixing to happen?"
I said, "No, Dad."
He said, "There's coming a storm."
"Well," I said, "my father, I do not see any cloud at all, neither do I hear a thunder or see lightning."
He said, "You don't have to. You can't see it yet; they can."
I said, "I do not understand it. You mean his sight is better than mine."
He said, "Not necessarily, but you see, Billy, the almighty God has put in nature a way to preserve itself and keep itself." Said, "That horse can smell or sense that storm," and said, "God gives them that so they can get to safety."
I stood there a little bit. My father was not a Christian at that time. So I thought, "Surely if God can give a horse a sense to get to safety when trouble's coming, how much more can He give to his children?"
He's in his universe. Plowed about two more rounds and I heard the thunder, the cloud was on us in about another half hour. They could sense it.

49 And to continue about on the mountain. As I stood there, I was going around and around this tree, just rejoicing with all my heart. You know, when I feel religious---I do right now---I kind of get emotional. I guess you might call it fanaticism, but somebody said, "Billy, you act like you haven't got your right mind."
I said, "Well, then, just leave me alone, because I feel better this way than I did the other way." So if I haven't got my right mind, just let me keep this one, because I enjoy this much better, knowing God in it. And so around and around the tree I went, and I was standing with my hands up, saying, "God, Thou art my Father. Oh, I love Thee. You made the mountains, and made me to enjoy it, made the wild animals. And here I stand bathing in your presence. Why can't men see You in your great universe?"

50 How can they explain this earth standing in the sockets, hanging in the air like this, turning perfectly, and so perfectly timed till the astronomers can tell the very minute the eclipse will come in the moon, between the moon and sun, twenty and thirty years ahead of time? There's not a piece of machinery ever invented that can move that ... not move that perfect. Your watch won't do it. There's no watch can keep perfect time, not for any space of time. It'll lose a tick or two, or gain a tick or two. There's nothing man can do like that---but God is perfect. He's right on time.
This meeting is not providential; it is God's provided way for us. It's just in the right season, the right time. You never come here this afternoon just by chance; it was God that brought you here. Everything's moving just right. Now, whether you want to listen, whether you want to believe, that'll be up to you, but at the judgment then God will say, "You remember... ?" Then what can you say?

51 Now notice, and I was attracted... (This sounds a whole lot like a little joke, but it's not a joke.) And I was running around the tree, and all at once a little pine squirrel... I don't know whether you have them up here or not. He's the fussiest little thing in the woods. He just ... well, it's just like they say the Irishman's owl, all fuss and feathers and no owl. So, he just barks and carries on. Mr. Jeffries used to tell me... I said, "What makes them holler?"
He said, "He's cursing you."
I said, "Tch, tch, tch, such language." And as he was carrying on, just jumping up and down, and I thought, "What you so excited about, little fellow?" I said, "Did I excite you, because I was running around the tree? Watch this," and around and around I went again. And he was just sitting there, just chattering away, upon a stump where a tree had blown down. And I said, "Did you know I'm worshiping the very God that created you?" Now, I said...

52 I run around a couple times more, and I noticed the little fellow. I thought I'd excited him, but he had his little eye bugged out on his cheek, and he was looking down in that blowdown. And I thought, "Well, what's down there?" And the storm had forced a big eagle down. And that's what he was barking at. It wasn't me; it was that eagle. So I looked, and this big eagle jumped up. In Colorado we have the brown eagle---great big, beautiful bird. And I love eagles, because God likens his children, his heritage, unto eagles, and God Himself calls Himself an eagle. He is Jehovah eagle, Papa eagle. We're his little eaglets.
A eagle can fly higher than any other bird there is. If a hawk would try to follow him, he'd disintegrate in the air. So you try to impersonate Christianity, you just burst yourself open, that's all. Don't do you no good. Be an eagle, be born again, nature changed. Then you can walk up Jacob's ladder. Then you can climb to the highest spots, to where all things are possible to them that believe. But you got to be an eagle, a believer. Don't try...

53 The Hebrews, when they crossed as eagles across the Red Sea, the following on uncircumcised Egyptians tried to do so and lost their life. You cannot impersonate Christianity; you've got to be a Christian. That's right.
Now, I noticed this big fellow and I stopped my shouting, or emotional going around the tree, and I looked at this big eagle. And I said, "Now, I wonder what God stopped me from shouting for? I believe that everything works together for good. I thought, "I was having such a glorious time. Why would You stop me now to look at that eagle? The old vulture," I said, "why, I don't see nothing so manly about him, so godly." But I thought, "Everything up here has got to have God in it. Everything."
You can look at the meanest person on the earth, and you'll find some good things about him. That's right. So God is everywhere. You just got to look around to find Him.

54 That's the reason Jesus said... And I believe, if you got somebody... You can love anybody that loves you, but can you love those who do not love you? That's the Spirit of Christ. See, when those will mistreat you, and say evil against you, and from your heart you still love them, then you know you're getting close to the kingdom then. So He said, "If we love those who love us only, what reward have we?"
So I looked at the old eagle, and I noticed those great big grey eyes as they was batting. And I thought, "Well, what could I see godly about that fellow? He's part of the creation, but what could I see godly about him?" I noticed he wasn't afraid. And that's God there alone.

55 God doesn't have no use for a coward. If you're afraid to trust Him, don't even make an effort until you're satisfied that He keeps his Word and He keeps his promise. Then there's nothing going to stop you. Right. But be sure you know where you're standing, because you'll only make yourself worse.
Then, I noticed him. I thought, "Aren't you afraid of me?" I had my rifle sitting against the tree. I said, "I can grab my rifle and shoot you." And he just sat there. And I noticed, "Why is he not afraid?" And I noticed that he had his wings, he kept feeling them, see if the feathers was all in running order. I thought, "That's it. God has given him two wings. He's got confidence in them. He knows that he could be in that timber before I get my hand on that gun, and he's got perfect confidence in his God-given way of escape." And if an eagle in God's universe can have enough confidence in a God given gift of his wings, how much more ought we, the children of God, to have confidence in the Holy Spirit. Even though the doctor says you're going to die with a cancer, just as long as you can feel that power of God there, let everything be a lie, and God's Word be true.

56 I watched him. I thought, "There You are, God. I see You now, because he's not afraid." God hates a coward. Love casts out fear, so if you've got love you don't have any fear. Fear don't have one bit of value about it. There's not one thing. It'll hinder you.
You say, "Well, what if you're going to be shot in the morning? Wouldn't you be scared?" No, sir. Fear couldn't help me. Fear could only make me worse.
"Well, what could faith do for you? They already signed that you're going to die in the morning." Faith can sign my pardon. Amen.

57 So let me take faith. If the doctor says you're going to die with a cancer, that's all he knows about. Have faith and it'll change the situation for you. If he says you'll never walk again, the man's telling the truth. That's all he knows. That's what he can look at, what he can ... he can only go by his senses: feel, smell, taste, hear. But, you see, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things you don't feel, taste, smell or hear. It's faith, you believe it, it's a sixth sense, beyond the five senses.

58 Then I looked at that fellow. I thought, "Oh, I admire you." I said, "God, I see You in that eagle." And he looked at me a little while. He found out that I was his friend, so I wasn't going to hurt him. And after awhile he kept looking over at that pine squirrel, and I noticed that pine squirrel was the one was cursing him so bad. And he got enough of it, so he just stooped down and made a big flop with his wings. About two flops he went beyond the timber.
And I noticed what he did. I shall never forget it.

59 Listen, you trappers, hunters, he knowed how to set his wings. And as the breeze come up the mountain, every time the breeze would come, he'd just ride up on it. Another breeze would come, he'd ride a little higher. Then another breeze would come, he'd go a little higher. He never moved a feather, he just knowed how to set his wings. And I stood and watched him until he went plumb out of sight. I stood there and the tears run down my cheeks. I said, "That's it, God. That's the idea. It's not [break in tape] ... and flew on away. O God, that's it. Just know how to put your trust in his Word, and say "It's truth."
God in his universe. You believe He's in his universe? He's in his flowers. Can you see Him now, what I mean? In the sunset, the sunrise, in the holding of the earth, the turning of the solar system, all that He is. I could take hours and hours just on that one subject---God in his universe.

60 Tell you what. I believe you have a paper about twice a week here at Dawson, don't you? Now, you let the news commentator say, "Tomorrow..." It's coming fall of the year, and they'll say, "Tomorrow it's going to be fair weather. It'll be pretty and warm tomorrow." And you see that old sow take them shoats off the north side of the hill and bring them around over on the south side of the hill---she knows more about that weather than all the commentators in the world---you look for cold weather. You see those rabbits getting back way up under the brush piles, and the newsmen say, "It's going to be fair weather," don't you believe that. It's fixing to rain. See, he knows more about it than all the news commentators does, because he's got a God-given instinct. He's part of God's universe. God in his universe.

61 Now God in his Word. And I'll try to hurry so we can hurry up. I'm getting late. That's the trouble with me. I talk too much, I hold you too long. But the beans won't burn, and if they do, we'll put some more on. Now, this is food that you need for eternal life. God in his Word. Now, the Bible said that the Word of God is a seed that a sower sowed. Now we know ... you farmers here, do you know that when you sow a seed, if you sow wheat, why, it'll bring forth wheat, if it's put in the proper care. You sow oats, it'll bring forth oats, in its proper care. Well, that's what the Word of God is. If you take any promise of God and place it in the right atmosphere, it'll produce exactly what it is in its life.
Like a hen. Usually the right procedure is to take an egg, and put it under a hen, and she'll hatch the chicken. But you could take the egg... It's the atmosphere what counts. You take that same hen egg and put it under a pup, and let the pup's body keep the egg warm, it'll hatch a chicken. See, it's atmosphere. And that's the same thing it is here this afternoon. That's what I'm speaking for. If we can get the right kind of a heavenly atmosphere, something's going to happen. See, atmosphere.

62 God's Word is a seed.
Now, you take a little tree, like a little... Many of you people have orchards. You take a little apple tree (now watch this), you set that little apple tree as a slip, it's just about that big. Come from a seed. Well, usual, every apple that'll ever be in that tree is in it right then. Did you know that? You say, "How many apples will that tree produce?" Maybe a hundred and fifty bushel, two hundred bushel, five hundred bushel, in the life of the tree. But now all five hundred bushels of apples is in it when it's just about that big. If it isn't, pray tell me where it comes from. See, it's in it.

63 Now, what do you do with the tree? You set it out, put it down in the ground and plant it, and then you water it. Now what's the little tree do? The little tree has to draw water from the earth. And it has to drink and drink and drink, has to drink over its portion. And as it drinks, it begins to push out. And after awhile it pushes out limbs, then it pushes out leaves, then pushes out blossoms, then it pushes out apples. It's just drinking and pushing.
And that's the way that a Christian is. We are planted in Christ Jesus, which to my interpretation is the inexhaustible fountain of life. And the only thing we have to do, if you're sick, if you need something, when God fills you with the Holy Spirit, you are... By one Spirit we are all planted, baptized into one body, and the only thing we have to do then is just drink. Drink, until we push out divine healing (glory); and then take away the old worry and doubt, and push it away and bring in new life, produce new fruits of the Spirit. Just drink, drink, the seed.

64 I was with Mr. Durney ... some of my people here will know that I've told this. We went up on the mountain to get a goat. And on the road down we come through an old burn or something. And about a bear I'd seen down there, I guess you remember it, Mr. Durney. The old bear, I said, "His hide's pretty heavy to have to pack down that mountain." And I was looking him in the face, and I was getting a little tired. So as it got along up towards dark that night I noticed we come into a place where the burn had left a few snags standing up, and they were just as bare as they could be.

65 And we were resting a little bit and I thought there that ... going to the horse, and the wind blowed. And when the wind blowed, the most hideous sound, went "Ooooooo." I thought, "My, looks like tombstones. This is a weary place." And I thought, "Father, what is this?"
It reminds me of somebody trying... I say, "Are you a Christian?"
"I'm a Presbyterian."
"I'm a Baptist."
"I'm a Methodist."
You know what it is? It's you trying to hold on and get to heaven by belonging to an organization. Now, that organization is all right, but, remember, every time that an organization springs up, God leaves it. You don't go to heaven by an organization; you go to heaven by this new seed of God being born in your heart. That's right.

66 And I heard that mournful noise, and I said, "This is a weary place to be. I hope we don't make a fire and stay here." And the moon had come out, and them old shiny trees like that. I thought, "Isn't that a horrible thing?" The old tombstones-like place, weary. What was they saying? "Once we were great swaying pines, but the fire burnt us over."
And that's the way it is today. When I asked, "Are you a Christian?" they don't know what it means to be Christian, many people.
They say, "Oh, I'm Methodist."
"I'm Baptist."
"I'm Pentecostal."
"I'm Presbyterian."
That don't have one thing to do with it, except that little seed's come in here. Then you can belong to anything you want to, you're a born-again Christian then. But without that you're lost. God is a seed, his Word is a seed.

67 I noticed another thing, Mr. Durney, Chris, that I noticed those little pine trees. I thought, "Well, now, that's those great big denominations says, 'Oh, we once had a John Wesley, we once had a Martin Luther, we once had a Sankey, a Finney, a Knox, a Calvin.' " That's right, but you see what you got now? Them men believed in God, practiced divine healing, and all kinds of miracles. That's right. But now what have you got? A denomination with a weary wind blowing.
Every time God sends down a rushing mighty wind, like He did on the day of Pentecost, you know what you say? "Wooooo, don't go out to that, it's of the devil. Wooooo, the days of miracles is past, there is no such a thing as divine healing. Wooooo, we got it wrote on our creeds, no such a thing as divine healing." Dead, not flexible.

68 Now, notice. Then beneath that there'd been some seeds fall out of them pines. And if you ever studied pine trees, the only way they can reproduce themselves is that heat to fall and open up that cone and let the seed go into the ground, and up come a new generation, another tree. And when the wind blowed, them little fellows didn't groan; they just frolicked in the wind. I thought, "Well, what's He blowing the wind for?" Well, you see every time the wind blows, it moves the little tree, and it pulls on the roots, loosens it up, so it can go down and get a better hold.
And I thought, "That's it, Lord." I thought, "Mr. Durney will think I'm crazy, but I do feel like jumping up on one of these limbs here, and running up and down here like one of them squirrels, just screaming at the top of my voice." That's it. We once had a church that believed in divine healing, we once had a Martin Luther, we once had a John Wesley, but now what are you? A dead statue. But beneath all of that, blessed be the name of God, we still have the seed of God that's produced another church; something that's brought forth a church that believes that God is the living God, and when God sends that rushing Pentecostal wind down, they just sway and frolic in it.
You say, "They're green." But they're having a good time, and they're growing. If they're green, they got life. If you're not a little bit green, why, you don't have any life.

69 A little Norwegian, here not long ago, come in and got saved in the meeting. He went back up to his boss, he said, "Oh, glory to God." He said, "Praise de Lord, I done got the Holy Ghost."
His boss said, "What you talking about?"
He said, "I went in the church," and said, "God give me the Holy Ghost. Wery, wery good, I feel."
He said, "You must belong to that bunch of nuts down there."
He said, "Praise God for the nuts." He said, "You know what?" Said, "You take, like an automobile, if it didn't have any nuts in it, it'd be a big bunch of yunk."
That's the way. If we can't have somebody in here that's got enough strength and enough power and enough faith in God to hold the thing together, what have we got but a big denominational junk? Right. Praise God for the nuts that holds the thing together.

70 As I preached to you last night, when a man gets the Holy Spirit he acts crazy anyhow. But he's only acting that to the people of the world. To God, He's a glorious Father.
Look at David when he danced around the ark, and his wife sat up there and said, "You embarrass me, a queen." In other words, "I am a king's daughter, and you run out there and run around screaming around that ark, dancing like that."
David said, "You didn't like that? Watch this." And around and around he went again, dancing around, and said, "Watch that."
And God looked down out of heaven and said, "David, thou art a man after my own heart." That depends on whose heart that you belong to. If you belong to the heart of the world, you'll act like the world; but if you belong to the heart of God, you'll do things the world knows nothing about. So much. The seed goes on and on and on.

71 God in his universe. You believe it? God is in his Word. Do you believe it? Watch how He keeps his Word, confirms it. Look how He told Abraham, look what He told the apostles, look what he told the prophets. Look how He promised in this day. God's in his universe. God is in his Word.
Now, God in his Son. Do you believe God was in his Son? (Now we have to hurry.) God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. Do you believe that? One comment on God in his Son (so we can hurry). I was talking to a woman not long ago that belongs to a church that does not believe that Jesus was divine. She believes that He was just an ordinary man---a prophet or something, but wasn't divine.
He was either God or the greatest deceiver the world's ever had. He was God. God, manifested in a body called Jesus, his Son. Not just a man, not a teacher, a philosopher, but He was God manifested in the flesh. I Timothy 3:16 says, "Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: for God was manifested in the flesh, seen of angels, received up into the heavens." Why, sure, He was God.

72 And this lady said, "Mr. Branham, I enjoy your preaching, but," she said, "there's just one fault I find with you."
I said, "Thank you, if you can just only find one fault, that's very good." And I said, "I've done found ten thousand million of them. Perhaps people's found more than that." I said, "If you just find one I thank you for that comment."
She said, "But if you'd just clear that one up."
I said, "What is it, lady? May I know? If I'm that close to being all right," I said, "maybe I can clear that up."
She said, "You brag too much on Jesus."
"Oh," I said, "what?"
She said, "You brag too much on Jesus."
I said, "I couldn't brag enough on Him, sister." I said, "If I had ten thousand tongues, I couldn't praise Him enough. He's worthy of all the praise."

73 She said, "But you make Him divine."
"Oh," I said, "He was divine."
She said, "He was just a man, Mr. Branham. He was a good teacher, a philosopher, but He wasn't divine. You make Him divine."
I said, "He was divine."
And she said, "You said you was a fundamentalist, you stayed with the Word."
I said, "Yes, ma'am."
She said, "If I show you in the Word where the Bible shows that He's not divine, will you accept it?"
I said, "Yes, ma'am, but you can't do it. But I'm gentleman, Christian enough to listen to you."
And she said, "I can prove it to you." Said, "You take St. John, the eleventh chapter," said, "when Jesus went down to raise up Lazarus, the Bible said He wept."
I said, "Sure. Why?"
"Why," she said, "that showed He wasn't divine."
I said, "Is that your scripture?"
She said, "Yes, that's it."
I said, "Sister, that's thinner than the broth made out of a shadow of a chicken that starved to death." I said, "Is that all you've got? My!" I said, "Don't you understand? He was both God and man. God was in Him."
And she said, "How could He weep if He was divine."

74 I said, "All right, let's carry the subject on. I'll admit that He was a man, but He was a God-man." I said, "He went to the grave of Lazarus, He wept like a man. But when He stood there and pulled them little shoulders together, said, 'Lazarus, come forth!' and a man had been dead four days... His nose had already fell in, the skin worms eating in his body, his soul was four days' journey somewhere---I don't know, and I don't believe you do either---but his soul had been gone from him for four days, his body corruption had set in. And He said, 'Lazarus, come forth!' And a man that had been dead four days stood on his feet and lived again. Brother, that was more than a man to do that. That was God in a man."
Sure, He was a man when He come down off the mountain that day, hungry, looking around on the tree to find some figs to eat. He was hungry. He was hungry, like a man. But when He took five little biscuits and two fishes and fed five thousand people, that was more than a man. That was God in a man who could break that bread and multiply loaves and cooked fish, produce it. That's right. He was more than a man.

75 And it is true He was a man when He was laying out there on that boat that night that storm come up. Ten thousand devils of the sea swore they'd drown Him. He was so tired from seeing visions and praying for the sick. And the little old boat, like a bottle stopper out there bouncing up and down, the devil saying, "We got him now. He's asleep." He was a man when He was tired, sleeping; but when He put his foot on the brail of the boat and looked up and said, "Peace, be still," and the winds and the waves obeyed Him, that was more than a man. That was God speaking through that man.
He was a man when He cried at Calvary, "My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" He was a man when He was crying for mercy; but on that third day when He broke the seals of death, hell, and the grave, and rose up, He proved He was God. Though the poet ... it's inspired the life of every poet or every author that ever wrote a song. Any man that ever amounted to a hill of beans believed that to be the truth.

76 Eddy Perronet, when he was in his great prime and they was persecuting him, he wrote the song:
All hail the power of Jesus' name,
Let angels prostrate fall,
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown him Lord of all.
One other one wrote, "All hail the power of Jesus' name, let angels prostrate fall." Oh, my! How could you... ? "On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other grounds is sinking sands." What could I say?
Old blind Fanny Crosby, what did you think about it? She said:
Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
For Thou the stream of all my comfort,
More than life to me.
Whom have I on earth beside Thee
Or whom in heaven but Thee?

77 Let it be whatever it might be---cherubim or a god---whom in heaven but Thee? One said:
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me,
Buried, He carried my sins far away,
Rising, He justified freely forever,
Some day He's coming, O glorious day.
It's the hope of the church, God in his Son reconciling the world to Himself. Do you believe God is in his universe? God is in his Word? God is in his Son?
Now, God in his people, and we'll close. Can you see Him in his universe? See Him in his Word? See Him in his Son? Now let's look at Him in his people.

78 God stays with his people. After they're dead, He's still with them. There was an old man about eighty years old who had a double portion upon him. His name was Elisha. He had Elijah's spirit, which was typed Elijah the church, and Elisha ... or, Elijah the Christ, and Elisha the church with a double portion upon it. And he was dead and had been dead for years, and his bones was laying in a grave. And they were taking a man one time to bury him, and the enemy was coming, and they throwed this dead body on the bones of that godly man, and he rose up to life again.

79 God in his people. He knows where every bone is at. He knows where Mama's buried, He knows where Papa's buried, He knows where Grandmother and Grandfather is buried. He's God, and He's in his people. Sure He is.
There was one named Paul, and they took from his body handkerchiefs or aprons, a godly man who was a prophet of the Lord. And the people believed it so much till they took from his body handkerchiefs and sent out to the sick, and evil spirits left the people. Off of a man's body! God in his people.
There was a little old fisherman, so ignorant that he couldn't even sign his own name. The Bible said in Acts, the third chapter, that he was an ignorant and an unlearned man, named Simon Peter. Had no education, not a day of schooling. God was so in him until the people noticed that God was in him. They laid in his shadow (O God), and were healed. God in his people. Do you believe that?

80 There was a hundred and twenty people after his death, burial, and resurrection, climbed up into an upper room to wait. They were cowards that closed the windows. They were afraid of the Jews, they were afraid to make a testimony. So they hid themselves for ten days in an upper room. And all of a sudden there came a sound from heaven like a mighty rushing wind, filled all the room where they were sitting. They unbarred the windows and unstopped the doors and into the street they went, preaching the gospel in other languages. What was it? God in his people.
Jesus said, "A little while and the world will see me no more, yet ye shall see me. Because I live you can live also. The works that I do shall you do also. More than this shall you do, because I go to my Father." And He said in St. John 5:19: "I do nothing until I see the Father doing it first."

81 You was here the other night when I preached on that. Jesus, how did He make Hisself known as Messiah? Because He could perceive their thoughts, and tell them what was wrong with them and what they had done, and so forth like that. And the Bible plainly says that was a sign of the Messiah. God in his people. "The works that I do shall you also."
The woman immoral come to the well to get water and there sat a Jew. He said to her, "Woman, bring me a drink." Contacting her spirit. What happened? "Bring me a drink."
And she said, "It's not customary for you Jews to ask we Samaritan people such a thing."
He said, "But if you knowed who you was talking to, you'd ask me for a drink." What happened? He found her trouble. We all know what it was.
Said, "Go get your husband and come here."
She said, "I have no husband."
He said, "You truly said the truth, because you've had five, and the one you're living with now is not your husband. Thou has said the truth."
What did she say? "I perceive that you are a prophet. We know when the Messiah cometh He'll do these things, but who art thou?"
He said, "I am he that speaks with you." A sign of the Messiah.
She run into the city and told the men of the city, "Come see a man who told me who I was, what I've done. Isn't this the very Messiah." What? That same thing's prophesied in the last days to return again to the church just before the end time.

82 Oh, I know we got carnal impersonations of it. I know we got those who act like it and pretend to be. But remember it takes a bogus dollar to make a real one shine out right. And we have to be a real one before there can be a bogus. Amen. Now I feel religious right now. Yes, that's right, because God is in his people. Do you believe it?
If God is in his universe say, "Amen." If God is in his Word... God is in his Son. God is in his people. Now let's see if He is. We see Him in his universe, Word, so forth---let's see if He's in his people.

83 Now, I've promised to pray for the people here this afternoon. Now me praying might help you. I just join my faith with you, but, my brother, until you believe that God is here in his people, till you can see that very God that we talked about manifest Himself right here among his people... How would He do it if He come here? If Jesus stood here this afternoon with this suit on that He gave me, and you'd walk up to Him and say, "Lord Jesus, I'm sick, will You heal me?", you know what his words would be? "I have already did that, my child." He did that at Calvary. How many knows that to be the truth? It's the truth. He did it at Calvary.
Then what would He do? He'd say, "Can't you believe I was wounded for your transgressions and with my stripes you were healed?" Now He could prove that He was the Lord Jesus. He could do it. How would He do it? By showing He was the Messiah, He was the Lord.

84 How did they know it in them days He was the Lord?
Because he showed the sign of the prophet and everybody believed that He was. Now it hasn't been for two thousand years till this last day that we're living in, and we know it. Now, if Jesus will come this afternoon and perform the very same things that He did when He was here on earth, will you believe He's amongst his people and will accept Him? Let us bow our heads.
Gracious Lord, we pray this afternoon now. I have been very lengthy speaking to the people because I don't know when I'll ever get the opportunity again. Now I have brought it up to this far, Lord, that You're in your universe, in your Word, You're in your flowers, You're in your creation, You're in your Son and now brought it to your people. And now, Father, I can't go no farther than this. It takes You from now on. I pray that You'll help and will confirm your Word with signs following, that this people might know that You're Christ, that You are the Son of God and we are your servants.

85 And if there, by chance, be somebody here who is not a believer, may they accept You as their personal Saviour. If there are those here who just joined church and doesn't know what it means to be in the presence of the living Christ day and night, may
they accept it this afternoon. Heal every person that's present, Lord. Surely if this same God that I've talked about can show Himself that He's alive here, and we see the characters of the Bible... "Lives of great men all remind us," said the poet, "we can make our lives sublime; with partings, leave behind us footprints on the sands of time. Footprints that perhaps another, while sailing over life's solemn main ... And a forlorn and shipwrecked brother in seeing, shall take heart again." O God, let us be your servants this afternoon. Come now, Father. We see You in your universe, and in your Word, in your Son; now come and prove Yourself alive among the people.

86 And when we leave from this building today to go to our different homes, say like those who came from Emmaus... They'd walked with You all day after the resurrection, but they didn't realize it was You. Many here, Lord, has served You, and You've kept them out of troubles and things, just ... and they maybe didn't realize it was You. But that night when the sun was going down, like it is now, You stopped at a little inn, and they invited You to stay with them. You made out as though You'd go on, pass them by, but they constrained You. And may men and women here today do the same thing, constrain You, "Come in and abide with us, Lord." And then when You got inside and shut the doors, You did something like You did before your crucifixion. They knew that that was the Lord Jesus, for no one could do like He did.

87 Now, Father, I pray that in the name of Jesus Christ that You will come in our midst now and prove that these things that I have said about your Word and about You are the truth. Let us see You do the things this afternoon like You did before your crucifixion. Then we know that Jesus has risen from the dead and is alive forevermore, and He lives among his people. It'll give people confidence in your people, Lord. It'll make men and women have confidence for their prayers and for their instructions of how to meet You. Grant it, Father. We commit ourselves to You with the Word, in the name of the Lord Jesus.

88 And while we have our heads bowed, would there be those here this afternoon who has never received Christ as Saviour, before you see one thing done would say, "Remember me in your prayers, Brother Branham, I now believe."? [Break in tape.]
Let this lady, just come right here, lady. Now here's where all that I've preached, and all the Bible says ... something has to happen. Something has to happen, or God is found a false witness of his own Word. That's right. Now to you people who do not believe that Jesus is just as great as He ever was, now what about this? Here's a Bible scene. I want you to read St. John 4, where a man and woman met for the first time. We are meeting our first time. Is that...? So the audience can see, just raise up your hand, so we both ... and the Bible laying here. This is our first time meeting.

89 What's she here for? What's the matter with her? Why is she standing here? I don't know. I never seen her. This is just the first time meeting.
Now, Mr. Durney, I want you to see this. I told you on the trap line that our God was God. Just stand right where you are there just a minute. Stand there. Here's a lady that I have never seen in my life. I know nothing of her. I never seen her. She's a total stranger. Now, if the Holy Spirit will reveal to me what's wrong with the woman, then that will have to come from some spiritual resource, because the human being would not know that. You remember me telling you out in the camp that night? You remember the night we got the news ... the Mounted Police called me and I didn't know what was the matter. I thought my boy had fallen in a plane, or something. He was in school. And that night the Lord revealed to me that there was nothing wrong at home. That was back in your camp.
Now, that's the same God that's right here now. Here it is before you.

90 I never seen her in my life. Now if all you people in here know that... This woman and I, before God's Word, promises that we (here before God) ... we've never met before in our life. Now, she might be sick, she might have domestic trouble, she might have financial trouble, she may be not right with God. She may be some ill-famed person; she may be a saint of God. I don't know nothing about her. She's just standing here.
Now, if this ain't exactly the same thing that happened in St. John 4 when Jesus met a woman at the well. Is that right? How many will admit that? That's right. Now, Jesus told the woman what her trouble was, and she said that was the sign of the Messiah, and the Messiah is the Christ. How many knows that? All right. Then if that was the Messiah yesterday, and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (and then me, being a man, I couldn't know her), then it'll have to be the Holy Spirit, the Messiah (which means the anointed one) will have to reveal to her what that is. How many knows that He perceived their thoughts and knowed all about them? That's right. Now that was sign of Messiah.
Will all of you believe? Let her be the judge.

91 Now if I walked up and said, "Lady, you're sick. [Lay my hands on you.] Hallelujah, you're going to get well." That's a good Pentecostal way, and that's right too. It's exactly right. But she'd have a right to doubt, because she wouldn't know whether I was commissioned to do that or not.
But now what if the Holy Spirit goes back and tells her something that's wrong? Something she has done, something that she'll know whether it's the truth or not? Then if He knows what was, that proves that He knows what will be. Is that right, brethren? Do you believe that?
What a challenge. I've seen this happen before half a million people at one time. I've been preaching hard. It's a different anointing. Therefore I'll have to talk to the woman just a moment, see what ... the anointing would come.

92 But thanks be to God, here it is. If anybody ever seen that picture of the angel of the Lord, let's see your hands go up. Sure. It's copyrighted worldwide. That same light, pillar of fire, that you see in that picture that science has examined... George J. Lacey, the head of the F.B.I., examined it, said, "The light struck the lens, Mr. Branham. That mechanical eye of the camera won't take psychology." That light is hanging between me and the woman. At the day of the judgment you'll see that that's right. Can't you see that?

93 The woman's moving back from me.
The lady is suffering with a tremendous nervous condition, and she has spiritual problems that bother her. That is right, is it? If that is the truth, raise up your hand. Now do you believe? Now, it had been ... somebody might have said, "You guessed that, Brother Branham." Let me talk to her a little more. She's a fine person and the anointing is on her. Let me just say this to you. I don't know the woman, never spoke to her till just now, but that woman is aware that something's on her right now, a real sweet holy feeling. If that's right, raise up your hand, lady. Now, she's a Canadian here with you. See?
I'm looking right at it, that... It isn't a glare; it's a glow, amber light right around the... You say, "How do you see it, and I don't?" Well, it's another dimension.

94 How did Paul see that pillar of fire down there and them with him didn't see it? How did the wise men see the star that led them to Jesus, and no observatory ever reported it? Mystic star in the sky for two years. Nobody saw it but the wise men, because they were the only ones looking for it. I don't know what I told you. The only way I know is on that tape down there, but whatever it said was right.
Now let's just see again. Yes, nervous. Your trouble comes mainly about this time of day, late of an evening, when you're really fatigued, wore out. Have real funny, weary feelings come on you. That is right. You get nervous once in a while and drop things. Not long ago you were standing near a window when the sun was going down, you feel real nervous, rubbing your hands. That's the truth. How would I know where you were standing? How would I know you did that? Before you come to the meeting you prayed to God that you'd get a prayer card. You were very happy when you received it. That's "Thus saith the Lord." That's true.

95 Here's another thing. God tells me that on your heart you're praying for somebody else. That's a friend that's dying, that's got cancer. They don't live here. They live in Fort St. John and the person's shadowed with a dark shadow. That person is a sinner, dying with cancer, thus saith the Lord. Are those things true? Raise up your hand. Now is there a shadow of doubt in your mind? Is He Jesus Christ? Is God among his people? Do you believe, sister? Take that same handkerchief with you, lay it on the person and don't doubt, Jesus Christ will make them well. Go believe.
Do you believe with all your heart? How can any man tell a person who they are, where they come from, what they did before they come here, what they did two or three weeks ago and what they got on their mind, and who they're praying for, but Almighty God?

96 Now is that true, brethren? I want you to know that Christ is alive. Do you believe, Mr. Durney? Do you believe with all your heart? Then accept it. Go sit down and believe with all your heart, your trouble's finished. God bless you. Amen. I seen that shadow come over the man. Believe on the Lord, Mr. Durney, accept Him as your personal Saviour, don't doubt, and I'll meet you over there on that great game trail.
I'm a stranger to you, lady, I do not know you, but God does know you. That is true, isn't it? Do you believe if God can reveal to me what's wrong with you that you will believe it as being a personal thing to you? So the people will know that we're strangers, let's just raise up our hands like this. I have no idea ... you look like a good healthy woman to me, but you're suffering with a growth, and that growth is causing other organs not to function. That is your kidneys and bladder. That's the truth. Do you believe? All right, Jesus Christ will make you whole. Go, believe with all your heart.
Do you believe now? Just have faith, don't doubt.

97 Do you believe me to be his servant? You're not here for yourself. You're here for your husband. He's an unsaved man and you're praying for him. That is right. If that's right, raise up your hand. Go, believe. You know what the Roman centurion said, as I have said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou and thy house shall be saved." Did that mean because he believed his house would be saved? No. If he has faith enough for himself, he can have faith enough for his house. Believe with all your heart. You and your sweetheart will live together in that paradise of God beyond the river. God bless you. Go and receive what you have asked for.
I see everything's begin blinding to me, see, getting... I just can hardly see the audience at this time. Be reverent now, real reverent.

98 I do not know you, lady. Now all that preaching for about two hours, and yet it never phased me a bit; but just look, just about three or four visions and what it's done to me now. I'm just sacking down, see. How many knows that Jesus, a woman touched his garment, and He perceived that virtue had gone from Him. Is that right? That's strength gone.
Lady sitting right back here, suffering. Do you believe with all your heart? Got heart trouble, trouble with your eyes, nervousness. Do you believe with all your heart? The lady from Grande Prairie, Mrs. Thompson, believe with all your heart and be healed in the name of Jesus Christ. Will you believe it? All right.

99 I don't know you. You're a stranger to me. If Jesus will reveal to me your trouble, will you believe me to be his prophet, or, excuse me, his servant? That word prophet kind of staggers the people, that's the reason I say... Just something I want to tell the woman, the reason I held my hand over the microphone. We are two people met, maybe like our Lord and the woman at the well. She was probably a young lady. But you're suffering with a trouble with your throat. That's right. It was caused from polio. That's right. If God will tell me who you are, will you believe me to be his servant? Mrs. Duncan, you go home and be well, Jesus Christ makes you well. Don't doubt.
Sitting over on this side right there praying for your unsaved wife, sir, do you believe God will save her? All right, you can have what you've asked for, God answers your prayer.

100 Who was that lady just passed, going down the aisle? Was you prayed for? Was you just prayed for? Oh. I saw the light in the corner. Oh, I see it's a man with back trouble sitting there. Mr. Pettigrew, you believe with all your heart and Jesus Christ will make you well. Your loved one has arthritis. Believe with all your heart and they'll be made well. If thou canst believe with all your heart, all things are possible.
How many of you believe now with all your heart? I'm getting so weak, it's just staggering me around and around. How many has got ... emptied over there. Somebody else with prayer cards over on that side get into the line over on that side.
How many ministers here that believes that this ministry is the Lord Jesus Christ? Raise up your hands. Ministers.

101 I want not leave this audience in this kind of a shape lest you all think that I'm the only one has a right to pray for the sick. Your pastor has a right to pray for you just as much as I. Now he might not be a seer. They only come one in a generation. But remember, God never at one time... So it will clear up something that's bothering your minds that I can already perceive. In the Bible there was never but one time ... one seer at a time. Elijah and then Elisha, and then Isaiah, then Jeremiah, that's right.
All the people that has prayer cards C's stand up over on this side, over on this side, please. Prayer cards C's. I want to know the ministers here that would come here and stand down here with me and help pray for the sick just a minute. Could I get some of you brethren, so that your audience here will see that you are sons of God?

102 I'm so happy to know that you are sons of God. (Man, you ought to be a believer, just at this crucial time. Don't worry about the child, he'll get all right.) Now, wonder if we could get right down here, brethren. Let's walk down off the platform to stand, make a double line there, right up and down like that. Yes, brothers, yes.
(Come right here, sister, walk right in behind. Say, by the way you're already healed from [unclear words.] Now come around this side, so that you go back down this line.) Now, I want some of you brethren to come right here, stand right down here. I want you to stand right here. I want to stand between you. I want you brethren, now, just stand there just a moment. Wait. Go down so you can lay hands on the sick. How about if you stand over by this brother right here? That's good. Now come right here make a line, so each one of you can pray.

103 Now, audience, I want you to understand. The Bible says, "These signs shall follow them that believe." There is a little lady here that I had an interview with this morning, and she was at Grande Prairie. She's a tape customer of Brother Leo Mercier, Brother Gene Goad, and they told me to look for her, a Sister Brown. And so she was at the Grande Prairie meeting, and the Holy Spirit told her about a woman having ... I think, what was her name? Was that Brown or ... Sister Brown had a rose on her hat and told her about her condition. And of course I never seen her in my life. And then I said, "Each one lay your hands on one another." (The lady may be here this afternoon.) I said, "Each one of you lay your hands on each other." And everybody laid their hands on each other, because the Bible said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay their hands on the sick they shall recover."

104 And then when they did that... What I do that for, brethren, is for you, audience. Don't wait till an Oral Roberts, or somebody comes, or some minister that has the ministry of that. Your brethren, your pastors, right... Do you believe me to be God's servant? I tell you, in the name of the Lord, these men has the same authority to pray for you as anybody does. They are God's servants. Any minister that believes in divine healing---whether he's Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Congregationalist, or whatmore ---if he believes in God he has a right to pray for the sick.
Now, look, the little lady, she laid her hands on somebody, and all at once she felt a hand lay on hers which was larger. And she looked around. There was nobody around her. The ladies behind her she knowed, and they didn't have their hands on her. And she felt that hand and she said she just shook with the power of God.

105 Then this morning, at the breakfast table, I was having dinner with her ... breakfast, at the Windsor hotel, and the Holy Spirit said, "She wants you to lay hands on her."
And I said, "What shall I do, Father, what will be your sign?"
Sitting between us (she was across the table) there was all kind of dishes. Said, "She will take her hand and move those dishes back, making a straight way for you to lay your hand across on hers." And just then she reached down and pushed the dishes back, not knowing.
I said, "Sister, why did you do that?"
She said, "Something just told me to do it."
That settled it for her. Sister, are you in the building now? Are you here this afternoon? Sister Brown? Standing right here. Right here. See, He's God, isn't He?

106 Now, I want every person in here just stand in this line, and as soon as that line finishes out, let the other prayer cards just keep coming around, then... All the prayer cards just continue to line up over here, and then after they get through, all that doesn't have prayer cards and wants to be prayed for, you line right up behind them. Now before we do it, let's all bow our heads to Almighty God.
What if this was your mama standing in the line? What if this was your wife? What if it was your sister? What if it was your mother, or your daughter, or your son? Remember it's somebody's. Would you want everybody to be sincere if that was your mother, or your wife, the mother of your little baby, dying, cancer-ridden? Wouldn't you want somebody to pray sincerely? Now, you pray.

107 Heavenly Father, I am presenting this afternoon, first of all by a divine gift, the resurrected Jesus to prove that He is among his people to show Himself alive. And now, next, secondarily, I am presenting your servants, the ministers, the men that You have called. Some of them's been preaching many, many years longer than I. They're far better qualified as ministers than myself. And I want the congregation to know that their pastor is your servant so I am ... by a divine gift presented You to them; now I am presenting your servants to them, and I am one with them, Father, your servants. And we are taking the Word of our Lord.

108 Now, Lord Jesus, Thou does know all truth and You'll never honor a lie. And it's proved by tens of thousands of times around the world without one failure of the visions, which proves it to be true. Before there was scientific research, before lie detectors, in the presence of the camera, and whatmore, You've proved to be God. And now You are God this afternoon. And You made this statement, the last thing You said when You were going away, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. These signs shall accompany those that believe." And these are believers, Lord. You said, "In my name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; If they should take up a serpent or drink a deadly thing it shall not harm them; and if they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover."

109 Now, Father, You proved Yourself alive to keep your Word. You watch over your Word to confirm it, and now I'm presenting to this community and to the regions around about, Jesus Christ and his servants. And we as your servants, Lord, are going to follow your instructions regardless of what the unbelieving world says about it. We're going to lay our hands upon your sick, suffering children, and we believe that they will be made well. We accept You as our healer right now.
Every person in the prayer line, those who are coming in the prayer line, I ask you now in the name of Jesus Christ to accept Jesus as your healer. Don't you doubt. When these men of God ... and we lay our hands upon you there's only one thing would keep you from getting well---that's your unbelief. Do not disbelieve, but believe God. And we're standing here now praying for you as you pass by this audience. Not only that, but some three or four hundred people assembled here this afternoon will be praying for you. And every prayer... And now you believe.
Now, for the rebuking prayer, with your heads bowed.

110 Satan, we as a church of God speak directly to you. You are a devil, a tormentor, and you have bound the servants of God by your bluffing spirit, so we as human beings have no power against you. So we do not come to meet you in the name of a church, or an organization. They are defeated. But we come to meet you in the name of our conqueror, Jesus Christ. We are hailing his name and his presence before the people as a conqueror of every sickness and every disease as put under his feet, and we as his servants are carrying out his commission. We charge you in the name of Jesus Christ, turn every one of these people loose. We'll follow his commission by laying hands on the sick, and they shall recover, for we speak it in the name of Jesus Christ.
Only believe, only believe,
All right, everybody praying now while the sick come through...

1 Let us remain standing, and just bow our heads a moment for a word of prayer. First things first, of course, is to meet God. I wonder, tonight, if there's any special requests among us that you would like for God to answer tonight, if you'd just let it be known by your hand lifted to Him. Just remember in your heart what you want, and ask the Father, now, as we pray.

2 Our heavenly Father, we have assembled in the name of thy dear Son, the Lord Jesus. We realize the sacredness of this hour. After it is past it will be history, and we'll give an account of it at the day of the judgment for being here tonight, and for what we do.
Therefore, Father, we are coming to Thee with bowed heads, and bowed hearts, and asking for mercy; and that the great Holy Spirit would come upon us and lead us to what we should say, what we should do. We pray, Father, for every one that lifted the hand. Thou knowest what was beneath that hand, the request. And we bring our requests now before your great ivory throne, where the sacrifice lays---the Lord Jesus---with this assurance, that He told us if we would ask the Father anything in His name it would be granted. Father, we pray that each and every one that held their hand will receive their request this night.

3 Bless those who are sick and afflicted, Lord. May the Holy Spirit come tonight, manifest Himself so real that the people will not fail to see it.
We pray for those who are not saved, that doesn't know the forgiveness of sins, and still out there wandering in darkness without hope, without God, lost. May the light of the gospel, the glorious gospel of the Son of God, shine upon them tonight, and may their hearts be so hungry that they'll accept Him as their Saviour. Grant it, Father. We ask these blessings in the name of the Lord Jesus, thy Son and our Saviour. Amen. You may be seated.

4 I always deem it a privilege to be in the ... on the platform to speak to people. I was so happy, today, to hear the results of the meeting last evening, as I listened to the tapes from last evening---how the Holy Spirit among us ... what He did for us last evening. The only trouble that I find with the meeting is that we don't have long enough to stay. Just tomorrow night is the closing of the series. And there's only about two of the minister brothers that I have even had the privilege of being introduced to yet, the sponsors of the meeting.
And many of you fine people I have never met in my life. Would sure like to have the opportunity to go home with you Sunday for dinner. I know you've got the best cook in the country. And so, we ... I'd sure like to do that.

5 But we're leaving right away now to go on into the work of the Lord. Perhaps our next, after leaving Arkansas, will be up into Alaska. And then I feel that the Lord might be calling us for overseas right away, again back into Africa.
So it's been such a privilege and the first time of being here among you, and seeing that great responsive faith that you have---and yet the ministry new to you. I know that a little lengthier meeting would do great things. But first you know you go for a few nights, and you kind of draw your opinion of the evangelist.
And then, after awhile then all the ... (what we'd call the spooks) get away, we get all the scare away, and see that it's gospel, and the Word of God, and Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And especially, when we have a meeting like this where all peoples of all faiths are invited, you have a ... mixed groups. Yet we serve the one true and living God. And so, I'm so glad for that.

6 Now, I usually ... I try to promise to let you out early and I failed each night. But these are little short times. Sometimes at home I'm on the platform for six, eight, or ten hours. So, I know you couldn't stand that. You've got a lot of grace to stay this hour, hour and a half. May the Lord bless you now, and pray for me tonight, as I try to speak from a little text here, and some scriptures I've written down on a tablet of paper that I'd like to refer to for a few moments. And then we'll see what the Lord will have us to do.
You know truly, we do not know just what He will do, because sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. We just have to watch, and remember whatever He says for us to do. Then we do it.
So don't forget, tomorrow night, last night of the meeting.

7 And then, the Full Gospel Businessmen's breakfast is Saturday morning, right (I believe) in this same room. Is that right? Here in the same room. And I believe you can get the tickets at the desk or ... at the desk. And we'd certainly be glad to have you.
The Lord willing, I want to speak that morning immediately after breakfast. If you can come in and have breakfast with us, we'd be glad for you to do it. If you can't, well, then drop in for the message right after breakfast, and we will be glad for you to be here. And I want to kind of take an evangelistic type of message for that.

8 This, I've tried to confine it to prayer for the sick and healing. And we kind of, in a little way... Not with any doctrinal points, but just to show that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, that He has not changed. And to me that...
The Bible is either the Word of God, or is not the Word of God. I believe that anything is either right, or it's wrong. You can't be halfway between. There's no pretty good Christian. You've heard that remark, but there's no such a thing. You're either a Christian, or you're not a Christian.
And the only way you can be a Christian is being borned again of the Spirit of God. And that's the only remedy---under the blood of the Lord Jesus. And when you confess your sins to God, and you do have pardon from God, then you are not a sinner. He that's borned of God does not commit sin. If he does it, it's unwillfully. The worshipper once purged has no more conscience of sin.

9 For instance, in the Old Testament the blood of bulls and goats just covered sin; it didn't take it away. But the blood of Jesus takes it away. It divorces it. There's no more to it.
For instance, my mother---she's just gone to heaven a few months ago. I was standing by her when she went, and she got so she couldn't talk. I said, "Mother, if you can still hear me... If Jesus is still just as sweet to you while you're dying as He was when you were living, and in the meetings... If you can't speak, just bat your eyes real fast and I'll know you're saying 'Yes.'" And she'd bat her eyes, and tears was rolling down her face. And she went to meet the Lord. And I baptized my own mother about thirty years ago. I was just a little boy preacher.

10 Now. Now, when she would try to take a spot out of my shirt when I was a little boy, many years ago, she used to try to get coal oil or something and take the spot out. And really she never took the spot out; she just made it a little bigger---it didn't show so much in one place. But that's how ... that's all they had to work with.
Now, let's compare that with the blood of goats and sheep for sin. It was just... It was a propitiation, certainly, but it didn't sufficiently do the job, because it was an animal's blood. And when that blood cell's broke, of the innocent one... See, the lamb's life could not come back on a human, because it had no soul. It's merely an animal. But when Jesus came and that blood cell was broke, the life of God, Himself, comes upon us, and we're sons and daughters of God with His nature. Notice.

11 Now. Nowadays, if I get a spot on my shirt, my lovely wife... She just goes and gets some of this here, I think she calls it "Clorox" bleach, puts it in there and it's all gone.
Let's think of just a little drop of ink, one little drop of black ink. Now, that ink was manufactured for some reason, and it's a color. And there's only really one color (all the rest of them's off of it), and that color is white.
But now this color... I do not know the chemicals of this, but let's say this: that it had to begin from a creation, because that's what it is. It had to be made by a creator. A creator has to create a creation. And this little drop of ink, now, it's come down ... say, for instance, it's for a purpose. Now that little drop of ink can write John 3:16, and pardon my sins. Or that little drop of ink can sign my death warrant and send me to the gallows. It's for a purpose.

12 But perhaps if that little drop of ink, now, with all of its coloring in it, drops into a tub of bleach, what happened to the color? Just think, what happened to it? You'll never find it again. The water that was in the ink, the formula of H2O, is still ... it's in the bleach. Its water turns to its water.
But let's say if the color started out at the beginning... It goes back, maybe, into like a mist, or a gas. And that gas... Now, this is not the formula. If there happens to be somebody here that understands this, I'm just saying it for a ... so that you'll know what I'm talking about. Say there was a ... it went back to atoms, or molecules, and molecules turned back to atoms.
And say molecule four-six-nine plus six-nine-seven made black. If it had been six-nine-six, it would have come out pink, and so forth, and on back to atoms. Something had to determine it in the beginning what it was going to be. But when it once drops in this bleach here, it goes all the way back through every molecule, every atom, back to its creator.

13 Well, that's like our black sins. Once confessed in the blood of Jesus Christ it's forgotten. There's no more sin at all. You are free from sin, and there's no sin about it. It's not because you deserve it, but because the grace of God, that you are... When a man sinned he crossed a great chasm between he and God, and left... There's no way back. But God was full of mercy---He took a substitute. And a lamb was that substitute until the fullness of time come, when He ... God made flesh, to take away sin.
And now there's not even a chasm there between... A man and God become Father and son. There's no sin at all. He puts them in the sea of the bleach of forgetfulness, and cannot even remember them no more.
Now, we can't do that. We're human. We can forgive, but cannot forget. But God is infinite, and He's so great that He can absolutely forget you even did it. Think of it! He ... never did even sin. And there puts a man again in the presence of God as his Father, and you're His child. We are sons and daughters of God now; not will be. Now we are the sons and daughters of God. Oh, my! That make Methodists feel like shouting, doesn't it?
Now, we are very happy to know that we have this great bleach that Jesus Christ brought to us, His own blood. We're going to speak a little about Him now, giving you a chance to get kind of quietened.

14 And now, let's turn in the Scriptures if you will to St. John, the 14th chapter of St. John. And I want to read just a couple of verses, the 7th and 8th verse, Jesus speaking:
If you had known me, you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it will suffice us.

15 I'm going to take the subject of "Show Us the Father." I want to speak of it. The human heart has always longed to see God. As we were speaking the other night of those Greeks that came up to the worship, and they said, "Sirs, we would see Jesus." They had heard of Him and they could not rest until they had seen Him. And I think that's truly the way that any real, true believer that ever hears of God... There's something within him that pulsates to him that ... if he could only see Him.
And yet we can see Him. Jesus said here, "When you've seen me, you've seen the Father." So we know that you can see Him. Now, as long as we can think of human beings they've always longed to see God. Even Job... I think that's the oldest book in the Bible (it's supposed to be), and was really written before Moses wrote Genesis. And Job, that great patriarch, and knowing God... And when he got to the spot that he got in his trouble...
Usually man will seek after God when he's in trouble. I've heard men say, "I don't even believe there is a God." But let him fall and hurt himself, or the doctor say he's fixing to die, then you hear him say, "O God"---like Bob Ingersoll. You'll think of God before you think of your mother, or anyone else, 'cause there's just something in you---you're a human being.

16 Now we find that Job got in such a distress, when he was broke out with boils and troubles, and he sat on the ash heap and scraped his boils. I remember taking the book of Job at the Tabernacle some years ago, and I was almost a year with the book of Job. And one sister had enough grace to... She didn't ask me right out to the platform, but she wrote me a letter. She said, "Brother Branham, when you ever going to get Job off that ash heap?" I had him sitting out there, but I was trying to build up around to make a point somewhere, the killing point---that it would show the people, where we could have the altar call and then hundreds respond.
Now ... sitting in misery, and he was longing to see God. He said, "If I only knew where he lived at, if I could go and knock on his door, I would know him. I'd like to sit down and talk with him." See, the human heart calling out for God.

17 And surely, if there is a human desire in a human's heart (who is a creature of God), calling out for God, there's got to be a God somewhere to respond to that call. But when the deep calls to the deep there's got to be a respond to that call. Before a deep can be in here calling, there has to be a deep out there to respond to that call, or there would be no call in here.
As I've often said, before there was a fin on a fish's back there had to be a water first for him to use that fin, or he wouldn't've had any fin. Before there was a tree to grow in the earth, there had to be an earth first or there wouldn't have been any tree. And as long as there is a creation, there is a creator to create that creation. See what I mean?

18 And when there is a hunger and thirst in a human's heart for something, there's got to be something to respond to that, or the thirst wouldn't be there.
So tonight we are here saying, "Show us the Father and it sufficeth us." And now, if there is a God---which we know there is---and the call in our heart to see Him, then why can't we see Him? If there's a call here that tells us we want to see Him, there's got to be some reason that we ... some way to see Him. And now I ... by God's help, I'm going to try to show you, or speak on three different ways (or I'll say four different ways) of seeing God. I'm going to speak on God in His universe; God in His Word; God in His Son; God in His people.

19 And first now, we'll speak on God in His universe. I do not believe that anyone that could understand how this universe moves, how the great solar system ... (and be in his right mind) could say there is no God. Did you know this earth is turning over a thousand miles an hour? It's twenty-five thousand miles around it, and it turns ... makes its complete revolution every twenty-four hours. So that makes it going over a thousand miles an hour this-a-way; and as it turns around the orbit of the sun, I don't know how many thousand miles an hour it's going---and so perfectly in time it doesn't miss it a second. There's no watch, no machine, that can be placed in such perfection to keep it from wearing out, or no watch.
I've got a watch that was give me in Switzerland, that they said in American money it would be three hundred dollars if I bought it ---one of their best watches. Yet that watch will lose every ... a minute every so often, or gain, or something. It isn't ... it cannot be perfect.

20 And yet in space this world whirls itself around. Who whirls it around and keeps in that perfect time? It would certainly be slowing up a little, if there wasn't something keeping it moving. And how could it keep it moving so perfect? And how does it go around the sun the way it does so perfect? It makes winter, summer, and so forth, just as perfect as it is. Then there's no one... Six thousand years it hasn't lost a second---always on time. It's so perfect that they can time the eclipse of the sun and the moon so, in twenty years away they can tell you the very hour it'll cross---studying astronomy, studying the solar system.
How great! My, I think if a person would look up towards the skies, you could cry like that Swedish author of the song, "How Great Thou Art, How Great Thou Art." See those little stars, and maybe it don't look like they're four inches apart in the skies; and yet, they're farther from each other than we are from them. And yet, God controls it all.

21 And out at Mt. Wilson, California, by... An astronomer who was at my meeting in Chattanooga gave me permission, with this other astronomer, to go up there and take a look at this great scope. They had the pictures, 'cause I went in daytime. And you can see 120 million years of light-space. Break that down in miles, and you'll run a row of nines around Tucson a few times---trying to break it down in miles.
You can't fathom it in your mind---120 million years of light-space; and beyond that is moons, stars, and worlds. And our Father created it to His own pleasure, and everything's working just perfectly. Oh, how wonderful to see how great He is, and how simple He can make Himself, so that you won't miss the way. Isaiah 35 said, "...though a fool, shall not err therein." It doesn't take smartness, education. If it did, I would be one lost. It just takes faith to believe it; not try to understand it, but believe it. Just... God made it, and that settles it.

22 Now, we find that people try to argue that it's not so---infidels. Here sometime ago in Colorado (oh, I guess it's been thirty, forty years ago) there was an infidel that passed through the country trying to make converts to infidelity. And he even told his own mother, when she was dying... Said, "What could you offer me now?"
He said, "Ma, grin and bear it." And what a thing to say to your own mother!
He got a breakdown, so he went to the West to get a little rest. And he took a pack and went back into the mountains. And one day he was walking out... And ministers was afraid to attack him, they said, because he was, oh, he was shrewd, highly educated, polished scholar. And they just left him alone; let him beat his own brains out.
So then, one day they said he took a walk and went out, and he begin to look at the rocks, and he begin to wonder really where did they come from. And the first thing you know, the winds begin to blow down through the pines. "Adam, where art thou?" You see, the Bible says if they hold their peace the rocks will immediately cry out. This infidel fell on his knees and become a sweet, loving Christian because God in His universe called out that "I'm the creator who made the heavens and earth."

23 Sometime ago a friend of mine, Mr. Wood (lives in Jeffersonville, next neighbor to me)... Mr. Borders here, one of our managers (he's sitting here tonight), is well acquainted with him. He was a... Come to the Louisville meeting; and he was a Jehovah Witness and was forbidden to even attend the meetings. But he come with his wife. His wife belonged to the Anderson Church of God.
And they seen a little girl there brought to the platform and how the Holy Spirit told the little girl what her trouble was, and how long... She'd turned into... I forget the name of the disease that turns them to chalk, or stone. She hadn't moved for about three years---and told her in the name of the Lord that she would be all right. And the next day the girl run up and down steps; and was at the building that night just running all over the platform, and everything.

24 Mr. Wood, being kind of broke down at this, he finally... He had a boy that was crippled with polio, his leg drawed up under him. I left from there down to Houston, Texas, where the picture that you have of the angel of the Lord was made; and that discussion down there with this Baptist minister who'd taken the opposite side---that Christ wasn't a healer now. And then, the Lord came before thirty thousand people that night, and put it... He had his picture---the light that gives the discernment---that showed that it was true.

25 And George J. Lacy, the head of the FBI, of finger prints and documents, took from California and came to the Shell building there and examined the picture; and said, "Mr. Branham, I've been your critic, and I said it was psychology. But," said, "the mechanical eye of this camera won't take psychology. The light struck the lens." And so, you have the picture now. And one of them's in Washington, D.C., in the religious Hall of Art, with a note under it, "The only supernatural being that was ever photographed in the history of the world." And now, then, if you're ever through there, stop in and see it.

26 Now, notice. Then Mr. Wood brought his boy to a place in this ... where we was at in another place, and the Holy Spirit called out and said, "There's a boy back in the building by the name of David Wood. His father is a contractor, Jehovah Witness." Never seen them in my life. They lived in another country, down in Kentucky. And so He said, "Thus saith the Lord, the boy's healed." And immediately that crippled boy rose up to his feet just as normal as anybody else. He's my neighbor now. I married him about three years ago to a fine Christian girl. They have two fine children. Many people here know it.

27 Mr. Wood and I, on coming home, we drove down into the mountains of Kentucky---in a little country where I'd been at the Methodist campground down there, at a place called Acton (A-c-t-o-n), just a ... just one grocery store, filling station, and a campground. And it's called Acton, Kentucky. The little place has a post office, its own, and it's in this store. I had a meeting there, and it looked to me like a good squirrel hunting country, so I wanted to go back down.
About two years from then we returned again to go back, and go squirrel hunting. And, of course, you Arizona people here, I suppose... How many know what Kentucky gray squirrels are? How many have ever seen gray squirrels? Oh, well, what part of Kentucky are you from? So, then, I feel really at home. So, there's nothing better to eat in the world. If they have, I've never found it.

28 So we went down on a two-weeks vacation to hunt, and it was really dry. And those little fellows, oh my! can they scat. And we was shooting with .22 rifles, and it got so dry we couldn't hunt. And Mr. Wood said, "Brother Branham, I know where there is a man that's got about five or six hundred acres, and has got hills and hollers down there, where the waters comes down through the creek." Said, "It'd be wet. We could walk in those creek bottoms ---wouldn't scare them. But," said, "he's an infidel."
I said, "Well, let's go try him."
So we went across the country through the woods, and over the hills, little hog paths like, until we come up to a house, and two old men with slouched down hats sitting under a tree. And he said, "That's him on the other side." Said, "He's a hard boy."
And so we stopped, and I said, "Maybe you'd better go, if you know him. I'd better sit in the car."
He said, "All right." So he got out and walked around. He said, "How do you do?" And he said, "My name is Wood." He said, "My name is Banks Wood." He said, "I just wonder if it would be possible if we could hunt here awhile." Said, "We've been hunting over here on another creek." He said, "It's dry over there, we can't hunt."

29 He said, "Are you Jim Wood's boy?" Now his father was a reader in the Jehovah Witnesses, one of the readers. Said, "Honest, very fine man."
He said, "I'm his son."
He said, "Well, Jim Wood's one of the most honest people I ever met." Said, "You can just have your choice. Hunt anywhere you want to."
Said, "Thank you, sir." Said, "I brought my pastor along. I guess it's all right for him to go."
And he said, "You don't mean you've got so low down you have to carry a preacher with you where you go?" And he said... I thought I'd better get out, so I got out of the car and walked around. I said, "How do you do."
And he said, "How do you do." And he said, "You know, I guess I'm kind of a hard guy against you fellows."
I said, "Well, every man to his thought." (I wanted to hunt.)
And so, he said, "I guess you can..."
"Every fellow to his own thought."

30 And he said, "Yes," he said, "there's nothing I have against you but just one thing." He said, "You're barking up the wrong tree."
How many knows what that means? That's a lying dog, you see, barking the tree "The coon is here."---when he's gone. Ain't a coon up there, see.
He said, "You're barking up the wrong tree."
I said, "Well, that's to opinion."
And my mammy always told me, she said, "You just give the cow enough rope, she'll hang herself." So I thought I was going to give him plenty of rope, so I let him go ahead and talk.
He said, "Well," he said, "I've been on this country here... That old chimney up there is where the original home burnt, about sixty years ago. My father built this place. I've lived here, walked over these places now," said, "I'm seventy-six years old. And I've never seen no God, no angel, or nothing else." Said, "Therefore," said, "there isn't none."
I said, "Well, 'course, that's still to opinion." I said...

31 He said, "Well, I just think you fellows are just going around making an easy living."
I thought, "Oh, boy! If you only knew! Easy!"
He said, "I think you all just make an easy living."
I said, "Yes, sir." I said, "That's... Well," I said, "still it's just to opinion."
And he said, "Well," he said, "that's what I believe about it." And he said, "You're just barking at the wrong tree." And he said...
I said, "Was you ever in church?"
He said, "No. I..." He said, "I don't believe in going." He said, "There was one fellow, one time, that come in here about two years ago from Indiana, had a place over here. They had a meeting at the Methodist campground." Said, "I forget the guy's name." And said, "If I ever meet him, I want to talk to him."
I said, "Yes?"

32 And Brother Wood started to say... And I (cow was at the end of the rope, you know) ... and I said... Standing there with whiskers on my face about that long, just bloody all over, and hadn't had a bath in two weeks, and so ... you know. And I said, "Yes, sir." I said, "What about it?"
He said, "Well, we got an old lady that lives up here on the ridge by the name of (something)." And said, "She was dying with cancer." Said, "We had her out to Louisville to the cancer specialist, and they tried to operate, and it was in the stomach." And said, "she was so wound up through her stomach and intestinal tract, they couldn't even wash her with an enema. And they just brought her home to die." And said, "She'd gotten so low till they couldn't put her on the bedpan no more. Just had to use the draw sheet." Said, "Wife and I would go up twice a day and change her bed." And said, "She was dying."
And said, "This preacher was over here at Acton," and said, "He was there for two nights." And said, "Her sister lives down here---another creek, about thirty miles below. She went up there that night, and said the man never was in this country before. And said he was standing on the platform, looked out across about fifteen hundred people, and said, 'A lady there by the name of Such-and-such, when you left home tonight you put a little white handkerchief in your pocket, you got off of a marble-top dresser. And it's got a little blue working in the corner. You've got a sister named So-and-so that's dying with cancer. Go take that handkerchief, and put it on the sister. For thus saith the Lord, she shall live.'"

33 And said, "About eleven o'clock in the night I thought they had the Salvation Army up here on top of the hill, of all the noise." And said, "I... Woke me up." Said, "I said to the wife, 'Well, she died. And so tomorrow morning I'll get my wagon to take her out.' (The only way you could get where she lived, you'd have to bring her out to where you could get her to a car with a wagon.) Said, 'I'll just wait till in the morning,' and said, 'We'll go get her, and bring her out.'"
Said, "The next morning wife and I got up early to go up there, and what did we find when we went in, but she was eating fried apple pies at the table with her husband." And said, "She's up there now. She don't only do her own work, but she does her neighbor's work."
I thought, "Oh, oh. Here it is." And I said, "Now, you don't believe that."
He said, "Well, if you don't believe it, you go up and see for yourself." He's preaching to me now.
And I said, "In the days that when we got modern science, and doctors, and fine as we have, and you mean to tell me that some..."
"Well," said, "if you don't believe it, you go up there and ask her." Said, "There she is." Said, "Isn't that right, John?"
He said, "That's right." (The other old man was a believer.) And he said, "That's right. She's right up there now. You can go ask her."
And him preaching to me, now, you see. So, that's all right. So I said, "Well, what'd you say taken place?"
Said, "How ... I want to ask that man, how did he know that that was that woman up here? He was never in the country before. She was dying with cancer. How'd he know she was dying with cancer? How did he know her name? And how did he know that was her sister? And how did he know that she was going to get well when that handkerchief was put on her?" Said, "I want to talk to him when I see him."
I said, "Well, I hope you do."

34 So, turned around and...
It was about the middle of August, and it was real hot and the leaves was beginning to fall off the trees. And he had a nice apple tree there, and apples all over the ground, and I said, "Do you mind if I have one of them apples?"
He said, "The yellow jackets are eating them." How many knows what a yellow jacket is? So said, "They're eating them; you might as well."
So, I got one and rubbed it on these old dirty pants, you know, and took a bite. I said, "That's a fine apple."
Said, "Oh, yes. I planted that tree there forty years ago."
I said, "Uh huh."
"I planted it out."
I said, "Bear like that every year?"
"Yes, we sure ... we can several bushels apples off of it every year. We dry some on top the shed."
I said, "Yes, sir." I said, "That's very fine."

35 I said, "Now ... strange thing." I said, "You notice we haven't even had a frost, we haven't had a cool spell, or nothing; and yet all them leaves is dropping off that tree." I said, "I wonder why that is."
He said, "Well, the life left the leaf."
I said, "The life left the leaf?"
He said, "Yes."
I said, "Where'd the life go?"
He said, "Down in the root of the tree."
"Oh," I said. "What did it go down there for?"
And he said, "Well, to keep out of the winter." Said, "You see, it gets about twenty below zero here." Said, "If that life was up in the tree, the life would die. It's got to go down into the root."
I said, "Oh, I see." And I said, "I want to ask you a question." I said, "You know that tree don't have any intelligence, because it's just a tree, part of botany life." And I said, "What kind of an intelligence tells it before the frost falls, 'Get out of there right quick! Run down in the root and hide. If you don't, you're going to die.' What intelligence does that?"
"Well," he said, "that's just nature."
I said "Well, I'll tell you. You take a bucket of water and set it on a post out there. And all ... let me see all that water run down at the bottom of the post, and then come back up again in the spring."
Said, "I hadn't thought of that."

36 And I said, "You think on that while I go squirrel hunting. And then, when I come back, if you'll tell me what intelligence tells that sap in that tree, that life, 'Go down to the roots and hide till spring, and then come back again.'... When you find out what intelligence works that life up and down through that tree at the seasons, I'll tell you what intelligence told me that woman was going to be healed."
Said, "Told you?"
I said, "Yes, sir." I said...
He said, "You're not that preacher?"
I said, "I'm Brother Branham."
He said, "Can you prove it?"
I said, "Sure." I said, "I guess I don't look like it."
Said, "No, I admire that." He said, "You look human."
And I said, "Well," I said, "all right, sir."
And he said, "Are you the..."
I said, "Yes, sir. The same God that can speak to a tree can speak to a man." And there I led the old fellow to Christ.
A year later I come back and he'd went to meet the Lord. And the wife told me, said, "Brother Branham, he died in victory, praising God."

37 What was it? He seen God speaking in His universe. Of all the things that he'd seen, and yet the very nature of a tree declared to him that there was a God, see. And he found it, and found Jesus Christ as His Saviour.
Oh, how you can see Him in the sunrise, see Him in the sunset! Everywhere you look you can see God. As I said the other night, "If He's in the inside of you, you can see Him out there."

38 Up in Colorado... Usually I go up there hunting. One fall ... another fellow and I hunt up there, and we separate. We was hunting elk, way high until the snows come and run the elk down. They're really up around timberline, because they're a wild creature. And so we had taken a pack horse apiece, and a saddle horse, and went up high. And Mr. Jeffries, the owner of the ranch, had went back over on one part of the creek about twenty miles, and I had come this other way.

39 And in the fall of the year that way, you know the sun will shine awhile, and it'll rain awhile, snow awhile, and rain again and then the sun come out. You know how it is. And a storm came across the mountain.
I was almost at timberline and I had my saddle horse tied up way down---ten, twelve miles below me---and I was hunting along pretty dry, and it come a storm. And I got behind a bush by a blow-down, where the winds had blown down some timbers, some hemlock. And so, I was standing behind these trees until the winds passed, and the storm turned cold. I stood there about an hour and a half, I guess, and almost froze and ... the wind blowing. And then after awhile it let up, and I kind of nodded, got a little sleepy.

40 So I looked up, and when I did I ... standing, looking around. And I seen the sun coming out as it was setting. And up high there, where the rain had blowed through ... had struck the evergreens, and had froze ice on them; and the sun was reflecting against that ice and it made a rainbow. Oh, my! I could see God there. There's God right there, in the rainbow of the covenant. I thought, "There's God up here on top the mountain."
Then after awhile, I heard the big bull elk---he'd got lost in the storm---bugling for the herd. I could hear God in that. An old wolf got to calling on the mountain, the mate answering it down in the bottom. There's God in that. I always believed He lived up there. There He was in the sunset, there He was in the rainbow, there He was in the elk call, there He is in the wolf call; He's in nature all around, everywhere.

41 And to my amazement, just across from me on a stump sat a little pine squirrel. He's just like the Irishman's owl---all fuss and feathers and no owl, you know---and just little bitty fellow, sitting all humped up. But he's the blue-coat policeman of the woods. When he hollers all game will run. And here he was sitting there chattering at me, just like he was going to tear me to pieces. He wasn't that big, but he just jumped up and down. And I thought, "Don't get so excited, little fellow." And what got him excited...
I'd got a little excited myself, when I began to see all those things God... I said, "Oh, what a wonderful place to be." I felt like Peter did up on Mount Transfiguration: Let's build three tabernacles and stay here. And I got so full of the glory of God in my soul, I set my gun against the tree. I was exploding, I guess. I run around and around the tree, hollering "Praise God, praise God!"

42 I had to give vent to something. It was the only pop-off valve I had, I guess. So I just... I don't know whether you ever felt that good or not. But you can do it, 'cause I've had the experience of it. I know it's right.
When you can look out and see God all around you; you don't smell no cigarette smoke up there; and there's no beer and stuff up there, and no half-dressed women. They're down in the devil's dumps; but this is up there, where God lives.
And so then, up there, running around and around saying, "Thank you, Lord, I've seen that rainbow." And I thought, "He's to look upon..." In the 1st chapter of Revelation, John saw Him as a rainbow, as Alpha and Omega---oh, the beginning and the end ---with a covenant that He would destroy the world no more. And then we got in this... The New Testament is a covenant of His blood.

43 And how I began to get carry on! I wasn't just playing the hypocrite---I felt good, and I wanted to give vent to myself, and I was hollering, "Praise God," and around and around the tree. I guess they thought they had a maniac in the woods, if somebody would have come up. But I didn't care who was there. I was feeling good, and I wanted to rejoice in the Lord. And I think I excited that little squirrel, and I guess he'd never seen anything like that. Not only squirrels, but a lot of other people never seen anything like it, or even human beings.
And here I was, going around. I guess it was a funny looking sight, but I was feeling all right. And then, he was sitting there all humped up and chattering at me, his little eyes bugged out on his cheek almost. I said, "Don't get excited. I was just worshipping our creator. Sit down. Do the same thing. You'll feel better." And then the little guy sat down. I thought, "Don't you see? Looky, here He is. Put your hands up, and praise the Lord." I said...

44 And I happened to notice, he wasn't looking at me. He was holding his head down, looking like that. And I thought, "What's the little fellow looking at?" And the storm had blowed, and forced a big eagle down in this blow-down. And that's what he was excited about, that eagle crawling around in that brush down there.
So I thought, "Now, Lord, I see You in the rainbow, I see You in the sunset, I hear You in the call of the animals. And now, how would I ever see You in that eagle? Are You in that eagle? Why did You stop me from praising You?" See, God does everything right. He knowed I'd tell this some day. And there He was. This big eagle jumped up on a limb, and he looked at me. And I thought, "My! I admire him. He's not afraid."

45 I admire anything that's not afraid.
God can't use a coward. If you are too much of a coward to testify before your boss, before anybody else, and ashamed of Jesus Christ, He can't use you. If you're ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ... I think, like Paul said, "I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it's the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes." Some people can carry on in church, but when they get outside they're deflated. Now, that kind of religion's no good. That's just to make a show. It's got to be lived.
And then I noticed this big eagle. He wasn't afraid. And I thought, "You know what? Aren't you afraid of me?" Them great big gray eyes looking at me. I thought, "Why ain't you afraid?" I said, "I could get my gun here and shoot you." I said, "Aren't you afraid of me?" And he just ... he wasn't noticing me; he was watching that squirrel. He'd look back at me, and then look at the squirrel. And I thought, "I'm getting tired of that noise, too. Are you?"
And so, he just kept watching, back and forth,

46 and after awhile I thought, "What makes him so sure?" I noticed he kept feeling his wings, you know, fluffing his feathers in his wings. Ah-ha! See, there it is. See, he had a God-given gift, them wings. And he knowed before I could put my hand on that rifle, he could be in that timber, see. And he wasn't scared as long as he could feel the strength that God had given him to go to safety.
Oh, if a Christian could only do that! If an eagle could put that much confidence in a pair of wings to take him from trouble to safety, how much more ought a man or a woman in the presence of Jesus Christ where He's making Hisself known ... be a-scared of anything! If you can know it, see it, see the Bible say it will be this way, and here it is here---Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever, walking in our midst, doing the same thing He always did, and promised He would do it just before the end time---how would we be afraid?
Nothing's going to harm you. How can it harm you? He overcome, and conquered everything---death, hell, grave, sickness, everything else, sin. He is ... I'm complete in Him. Not myself---I have nothing; but in Him I'm safe.
I seen him ... kept doing this.

47 Someone said to me one time, said, "Brother Branham, aren't you afraid you'll get somebody on the platform sometime and make a mistake?" Not as long as I can feel Him around, it won't be no mistake. That's right. It'll always be.
You know, he sat there till he got tired listening to that little old chipmunk over there, chatter, chatter, chatter. So he just made one big jump. He flopped his wings about twice, and I noticed he never flopped his wings anymore. He just knowed how to set his wings. And when the wind come in, he just rode up on the wind. And the wind would come in again, he just rode up on the wind again. And he just rode wave after wave, and I stood and watched him until he become just a little spot in the sky. He went on, on, on, on.

48 And I stood there, began to wipe the tears off my face. I said, "That's it, God. I see why you sent that eagle here. See, it isn't jump and be a Methodist this week, and jump over and be a Baptist next week; and flop, flop from one, and then flop, flop to the other; but it's knowing how to set your wings of faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. And as it comes in like a rolling flood, ride upon the tides of it.
Get away from this little old earthbound chatter, chatter: "Days of miracles is past; there is no such a thing as the Baptism of the Holy Ghost; there's no divine healing"; chatter, chatter here and chatter, chatter there. Just set your wings in the power of the Holy Spirit, and let Him carry you above all this old chatter, chatter noise of "There ain't no such a thing."

49 That eagle knowed what he was doing---he could trust.
See, God is in His universe. Don't you believe that? Do you see God in His universe? You can see Him in the birds, you can see Him in the flowers, you... Oh, we could spend all night on it. But do you believe that God's in His universe? All right.
Now, we'll see if God's in His Word. Now we'll look at God in His Word. Not only is He in the Word, but He is the Word. That's right. The Bible said in St. John, the first chapter, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us..." God and His Word is the same.

50 The Word, Jesus said, is a seed that a sower sowed. And any germitized seed in the right kind of soil will produce its kind. (And now, I realize that this is being taped, and these tapes... We have a tape ministry all over the world. And many people... Just here tonight, where about a thousand people are listening, before this tape stops there'll be ten times ten thousands hear it, see, around the world.) And I go on record---and I say this about the Word of God being a seed---if you can take the right mental attitude towards any divine promise of God, He'll bring it to pass.
If you can get yourself in position to believe that that promise was to you...

51 But if you let some Ricky place it off on (with more education than he knows ... gumption enough to know how to control it), can stick it off on some age gone by, or some age that is to come, it'll be of non-effect to you.
Like Jesus said, "You take your traditions, and make the commandments of God of no effect," when you try to place God some historical God, or some precoming God. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. He's just as much God now as He ever was. And if you can take that attitude that that promise is unto you... Jesus said in St. Mark 11:22, "Verily I say unto you, if you say to this mountain, 'Be moved'; don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you've said will come to pass, you can have what you've said. I say, 'When you pray believe that you receive what you ask for; it'll be given to you.'" How much more promise could be made than that? You've got to believe it, because it is a seed.
Now, if I ... if you ask me for an oak tree and I give you an acorn, potentially you have an oak tree. It's in seed form. And when you want God in your life, just accept Him as your Saviour. Potentially you are a full-statured son of God. You'll grow into the stature of God, just like the acorn does---grows into an oak tree.

52 Now, you people here in Arizona, you raise oranges. First it's a seed. The seed rots. The seed corn of wheat must fall into the ground, as Jesus said about Himself. It's got to rot. And the only thing that you can do is to ... the only way is to accept that germ of life of God's Word---God's own life---and then rot to your own ideas. Let God do it.
It's none of my business to try to figure it out. I can't figure it out; I just believe it. He never asked me to figure it out. He never did say, "Did you feel it?" He never did say, "Did you understand it?" He said, "Did you believe it?" That's what it is.
Don't try to go to some seminary, and get some of this indocumated embalming fluid put into you, of some social's creed. The thing you want is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the incarnate power of God dwelling in you that accepts this Word, and makes it live out as it really is. Around and around the world, and before all kinds of people, I know that it's true. He's God.

53 Now, that little orange tree, if it's under... Now when you plant it out ... maybe when you get it it's a little set, sprig, about so big. Now you plant it, and that's all you have to do to it. You don't have to go and say, "Now, I've got to get me some oranges somewhere, and go to dumping into it." The oranges is already in it. The only thing that little tree has to do... You have to keep plenty of water on it. And then the only thing the tree has to do is drink. And it drinks and drinks, till it drinks over its amount. And as it drinks it pushes out limbs; and it drinks more, and it pushes out leaves; drinks more, it pushes out blossoms; drinks more, it pushes out oranges. Just drink and push, drink and push. That's...
And that's you. When we are planted together in Christ the only thing we have to do is drink from His promise, and push out. Everything that you have need of is in you, when you receive Christ, 'cause Christ is in you; and you just have to drink from His Word, His life, and push out. Oh, yes. I believe Him to be the water that comes upon us. He's the life. I believe He's the inexhaustible fountain of life; that we ... just planted in Him and push out.

54 Abraham received God in His Word when he was an old man, seventy-five years old. Sarah was sixty-five. She was about twenty years past menopause. He'd lived with her since she was about eighteen years old---his half sister, married to her. And God came to the old man one day, and told him he was going to have a baby by Sarah. And that word, that word, God in His word... When God spoke that to Abraham, all reasonings of anything contrary to it left him. That's the way you do when you see God in His Word. You've got to receive it like that, though.

55 your word never dies. I could speak here with a sending set, and my words will go around the world in one instant. Through this building tonight is coming pictures of people. Turn on your television, and find out if it isn't so. Words of people are coming through here. You don't see it. Your senses don't declare it, but it's there. And a word never dies.

56 Here not long ago I saw the vision of this young woman dying, that they said that committed suicide. It's been about a year ago. I forget ... she was some kind of a girl... It was a very popular woman. And I was up in the mountains, and I saw her die. And they told me, said... He told me, said, "Is she... You can say it's four o'clock. It's just a few seconds before four." And said, "They'll say she committed suicide, but she died with a heart attack." What is that woman's name? She just ... a young blonde-headed woman. Marilyn Monroe, that was it. She died. And she did not commit suicide.
I felt sorry for the girl. She always seemed to be kind of a woman ... weary, she needed something. Wish I could have got to the child. She needed Christ. She might have went to some cold, formal church; but she needed a real case of salvation with something in her heart to give that assurance. She ... her father, she never seen him. Her mother was in the insane institution. It was all on the girl's mind. She needed Christ.
And then, in that, we know that...

57 The other night, my children was telling me that on the television they was going to have a play called "The river of No Return." There's where I caught the world record rainbow, down there one time with the Christian Businessmen. And they wanted me to see if that was the river---go to a place (a television) and see if that was the river, and Don Smith (the guide) taking this girl down. There she was on television, the same girl that I'd seen, and been dead a year. But there, every move she made was right there, acting out, her voice alive. Now that's in a ... like a fourth dimension. And that same thing will be to every one of us at the day of judgment.

58 And then, when Jesus Christ spoke these words they never die. Science claims in twenty years from now they can pick up the literal voice. They'll be able to pick up the literal voice of Jesus. It's still in the earth. 'Cause, see, it's a sending post you are. Then there has to be a receiving post. And if you can be the receptacle, see---receiving post to receive the Word of God---then it's real to you; and it will live just like it was then. Amen.

59 Now Abraham picked it up. God said, "You're going to have a baby by Sarah, your wife."
Now, to the natural mind, that's foolish. Could you imagine an old man seventy-five years old, and his sixty-five year old wife, coming down and saying, "Now, doctor we want to make arrangements for the hospital."? Why, they'd've said the old man's off at his head, see. But all people that take God at His Word, to the world is considered a little bit off at their head, because the things of this world is carnal to God. And the preaching of the gospel and the Christian is foolishness to them that perish also.

60 But Abraham believed it. I can see Sarah knitting the little booties, you know, and getting the pins ready. She's ready. The first month pass, and see... He said, "Honey, how you feeling?"
"There's no difference."
"Glory to God. We'll have it anyhow. Why? God said so."
A year passed. "How you feeling, Sarah?"
"No different."
"We're going to have it anyhow. Hallelujah!"
"How do you know you're going to have it?"
"God said so. It's the Word. God's promised."
Twenty-five years later, twenty-five years later, him a hundred years old, and her, ninety---a little grandma with shoulder scarf on, and little dustcap and a stick holding around like this; and him old, and his beard hanging down: "Do you feel any different, honey?"
"Not a bit, dear."
"Glory to God. We're going to have it, anyhow. God said so."
There you are. And then we call ourselves Abraham's seed! No matter... Why, it's going to be a great... He can praise God more---twenty-five years later it's going to be a greater miracle.

61 But we'll see Jesus Christ manifest Himself right before us, and if He doesn't ... a spontaneous thing, "I missed it. I didn't get it." Abraham's seed!
God in His Word! "Heavens and earth will pass away," said Jesus. "But my word shall never fail." God is in His universe. Do you believe that? God is in His Word.

62 When 120 little, cowardly people, who had walked with Jesus for three and a half years on earth---had seen Him raise the dead, and perform miracles, and signs, so forth... They were afraid of the threat of the Jews. They climbed up into the upper room on the outside of the building, the steps that went up the temple to a little upper room---a little prayer room of a thing on the outside---where some little olive oil candles was burning, or lamps with a wick in it. And they climbed up there and barred the doors because they was afraid of the Jews.
And then, when the day of Pentecost had fully come, there came a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. Doors flew open, windows flew open, out into the street testifying under the power of the impact of the Holy Spirit... Why? God's Word had been made manifest to them. God kept His Word. No cowardliness then, when the Word anchored.

63 And I'll stop here just a minute to say this. When a man or a woman---I don't care how much a doctor says you're dying with cancer, leprosy, or whatever it is, when you can receive that Word (which is God), something's going to happen. And there's nobody going to tell you any different. You know what you're doing. Yes, sir.
You believe God's in His universe? You believe God is in His Word? Certainly He's in His Word.
Now, God in His Son, God in His universe, God in His Word. You see God in His universe. You see God in His Word because He is the Word. That's God on print. That's the Word put on print, but it's also in the air if you can receive it. Oh, my! Like that little woman that touched the border of His garment, she received it, see. No matter what, she knowed in her heart if she could touch Him she'd be made whole.

64 And now notice, God in His Son. Oh, John 14:8, Jesus said, "I and the Father are one. The Father dwelleth in me. It's not me that doeth the works; it's my Father that dwelleth in me. He doeth the works. Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in himself."
St. John the 5th chapter, 19th verse, "The Son can do nothing in himself, but what he sees the Father doing." See, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself.

65 Now, many people gets the trinity all mixed up when you go to thinking about it. Some make it three different individuals, and some makes it one---and they're both wrong. Notice, it's not three Gods; it's three manifestations of the same God, see. It's three attributes: God the Father that was in the wilderness, in a form of a pillar of fire; and then, that same God expressed Himself in His Son, which was the same God in His Son; and now, that same God, now, expresses Himself in you and I as the Holy Spirit---the same God all the time. Not three Gods; three manifestations of the same God. Three attributes: of a father---that's what He was. He displayed it; as a Son---that's what He was; and now, as the Holy Spirit in His people, God condescending, can't be touched, because sin...
Then God, Himself, was made reflected in a man because man was made in the image of God. And God was made in the image of man in order to suffer, so that He could take away sin.

66 And then ... and now He is in us. "Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; yet I will be with you, even in you to the end of the age." God in us, see?
Now. Now it looks like this ... that anyone could see... Many times people say Jesus was a Jew. Some of them said He was half Gentile, and half Jew. He was neither one. He was God. That's who He was. Now remember, when a baby's born, any life comes from the male sex. The germ of life comes from the hemoglobin, the blood; and the blood is ... the life is in the blood. The Bible said so. Now, the ... like the...
It's springtime, and now all the birds are making nests, and they get a nest full of eggs. Now an old mother bird can go out here and make her nest so pretty, and decorate it all up with all kinds of feathers. And she can lay a nest full of eggs, and sit on them eggs so loyal until she... She could turn them every day exactly right, and she could hover over them, and keep them warm until such a way she won't...
She'll starve herself to death. She'll get so poor she can't get off the nest to go get her something to eat. She can be so loyal to them eggs, to her babies that's coming on. But if that female bird hasn't been in contact with the male bird they'll never hatch. She's got to be in contact with the male.

67 It reminds me of churches today. Sometimes we can build the most prettiest church, we got so ... and have the best lot of deacons and everything else like that, and a big congregation---the mayor of the city, and everybody coming to it, and bragging about it. But if they haven't been in contact with the new birth, with the male---Christ---you've got a nest full of rotten eggs. They'll lay there and rot, every one of them. What we need today is a good old-fashioned nest cleaning, all the way from Presbyterians, Baptists, all the way down---Pentecost and all!
You've got to come in contact with Jesus Christ, life. He is the one. A hen can lay an egg, but it will not hatch unless she's been with the male bird. And God Almighty, God the Father, overshadowed the virgin Mary, and created in her womb a blood cell which brought forth the Son of God without a sexual desire. And that blood was shed at Calvary. Hallelujah!
That is the blood that I trust in tonight when there's nothing... "No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus." Therefore, the blood of God saves us. The blood of God brings Jesus Christ in our midst. The blood of God brings the Holy Ghost. Not the blood of a Jew or a Gentile; but God's own creative blood. Jesus, the man, was His Son that He created Himself, and God tabernacled in that tabernacle. And God...

68 Law without penalty is not law. If you say, "It's against the law to run a red light," and no penalty to it, then it isn't law. And God's law has penalty.
"In the day you eat thereof, that day you die." And when man ate thereof there's not... God could not send another person to take the place. It would be unjust again. For me to make this brother die, for what this brother done, would be wrong. God had to come Himself. And the only way He could do it would be come in His own flesh, which was His own creative body that He made Himself, that He could suffer death. Amen!
There's the gospel in the power! It's God manifested in the flesh---Emmanuel to take away the sins of the world. And in that blood we trust---not in the Jew or Gentile---but in the blood of God, which was Jesus Christ. That's the reason He said, "I and my Father are one. My Father dwelleth in me." It was the Father in Him.

69 A woman said, "Who did he pray to in the garden of Gethsemane?", on a street meeting one time.
I said, "I want to ask you something. You testified you had the Holy Ghost. Where's it at? What do you pray to?" It's on the inside of you, of course.
Well, we have the Spirit with measure. He had it without measure. We are sons and daughters of God by measure, like taking a spoonful of water out of the ocean, and He's the whole ocean. But the same chemicals that's in the spoon is in the whole ocean. It's quantity, but the same quality. Therefore, if Jesus Christ's the same yesterday, today, and forever, God is in us. Yes.
Notice. God in His universe, God in His Word, God in His Son.

70 In this day where... The social gospel preachers, brethren, try to make Him some kind of a ... just a prophet, or some good philosopher, or something like that. He was either God or the greatest deceiver the world's ever had. He was God, nothing less, nothing more.

71 A woman belonged to a certain cult that doesn't believe in the literal virgin birth of Jesus, doesn't accept it. They just believe it's mind over matter. And she comes to hear me preach quite often. One night she met me going out. She said, "Brother Branham, I love to hear you speak."
I said, "Thank you."
She said, "I only find one fault in you."
I said, "Well, thank the Lord. I hope the Lord just finds that---only one." And I said, "My, as many faults as I have, and you only find one of them?" I said, "Thank you very much." I said, "Might I ask what that fault is?"
She said, "Yes. You brag too much on Jesus."
I said, "I'm sure going in, if that's all the fault I have---if I brag on Him." I said...
Said, "You brag on him too much."
I said, "How do you mean, I brag on Him?"
She said, "Well, you make him divine."
I said, "He was divine."
"Oh," she said, "Mr. Branham, you're wrong there." She said, "He was a good man."
I said, "He was more than a good man."
Said, "He was a prophet."
I said, "He was more than a prophet. He's the God of the prophets."

72 And she said, "Oh, Mr. Branham." Said, "If I prove to you... You said you were fundamental. And if I prove to you by your own Bible that he was not divine, will you accept it?"
I said, "If the Bible said so. I believe the Bible."
She said, "All right, I'll give you your own scripture." Said, "St. John the 11th chapter, the Bible said that when Jesus went down to the grave of Lazarus, the Bible said he wept. And he could not weep and be divine."
I said, "Is that the end of it?" I said, "Is that all you got to say?"
She said, "Yes."
And I said, "Lady, your argument is thinner than the broth made out of the shadow of a chicken that starved to death." I said, "Why, you know ... you know better than that."
And she said, "What do you mean by that?"
I said, "Why, you look here. Let me show you something." I said, "He was a man, but you fail to see He was more than a man." I said, "He was a man when He was crying. He was a man when He stood there with them little stooped shoulders over ... when the Bible says there was no beauty we should desire Him. He was a man standing there like that, weeping. But when He pulled that little shoulder up, looked up towards heaven, and said, 'Lazarus, come forth,' and a man that had been dead four days stood on his feet and lived again, that was more than a man. Man cannot do that. That was God in His Son."

73 Do you believe that? Yes, sir! That dead man ... why, he was mortified. In other words, he was rotten. Said, "He stinketh." His soul was four days' journey somewhere. We'll not argue about that, wherever it was. But whatever it was, corruption knew its master. Hallelujah! And a soul knew its creator and its lover, and a soul that was gone from a rotten body four days stood on his feet and lived again. Tell me a man can do that? That was God in His Son doing that.
I will admit that He was a man hungry, when He come down from Jerusalem that night, looking around over a tree trying to find something to eat. He was a man, that's right. But when He took five biscuits, and two fish, and fed five thousand, taken up twelve baskets---that was more than a man! That was God, the creator, sitting there. He could turn water into wine; He could take biscuits and multiply food and fish. God was in His Son, absolutely.

74 Yes, He was a man when He was laying on that little old boat that night, and it flopping up and down---so tired from seeing visions, and virtue going out, and preaching the gospel, healing the sick and being criticized by everybody. He went back in the back of the ship and lay down. That was a man laying back there asleep. But that time ten thousand devils of the sea swore they'd drown Him that night. There He was so tired He couldn't move. Even the waves couldn't even wake Him up. The little boat like a bottle stopper on a angry sea still didn't wake Him up. He was a man. He was sleepy, He was tired, He was wore out.
But when once aroused, walked out and looked upon it, He said, "Oh, ye of little faith"; put His foot up on the brail of the boat, looked up and said, "Peace, be still." And the winds and the waves obeyed Him. That was more than a man speaking from there. That was God speaking out of His Son. Yes, sir. God was in His Son. I believe He was divine.
That's true,

75 He died at the cross crying for mercy; He died calling for a drink of water; He died calling for mercy. He was a man when He died. But on that third day when that prophecy was fulfilled ("I'll not leave his soul in hell; neither will I suffer my Holy One to see corruption."), all ... devils in hell... He come forth with the keys of death, hell, and the grave. He rose and ascended on high, and gave gifts unto men. That was more...

76 Every man that's ever amounted to a hill of beans believed that, too---poets, and authors, and prophets to the age. We could interview some of them. What if I could call Eddie Pruitt [Perronet] here tonight off the scene? He couldn't sell his songs. Nobody would buy them. One day the Holy Spirit struck him, and he grabbed his pen and he wrote, "All hail the power of Jesus' name, let angels prostrate fall. Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all." Yes, sir! He's Lord of all. He believed that God was in Him.
Oh, when I hear another one say, "When I survey the wondrous cross whereon the Prince of glory died, I count all my fame to be but loss." Another one wrote, "Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; buried, He carried my sins far away; rising, He justified freely forever. Some day He's coming. Oh, glorious day."

77 If I could call Fanny Crosby tonight, say, "What do you think about Him? Was He a prophet, or what He was?", she'd say this: "Pass me not, oh, gentle Saviour. Hear my humble cry. While on others Thou art calling, do not pass me by. Thou the stream of all my comfort, more than life to me, whom have I on earth beside Thee? or whom in heaven but Thee?" Praise God! God was in His Son, reconciling the world to Himself. God in His universe, God in His Word, God in His Son. Yes, sir. Now, God in His people.

78 Do you believe God was in His universe? God is in His Word? God was in His Son? Now, what about God in His people? Amen! Oh, "A little while and the world seeth me no more," said Jesus. "Yet ye shall see me; for I'll be with you, even in you, to the end, to the consummation. I'll be in you, the same yesterday, today, and forever." Yes, sir.
What kind of a people should we be?

79 It reminds me of a story. Here not long ago down in the South, we used to buy slaves---colored people. The Boers brought them over, and sold them (the Dutch), and they were sold in America here for slaves. It's wrong. Never was intended for men to rule over one another. We have one God. The color of a man's skin has nothing to do with his soul. We all come from one blood. A yellow man can give a black man a transfusion of blood, and so a black man can give a white man. We're... God of one man made all nations. Yes, sir, out of one man. But they've always... God made man; man made slaves.
It never was right in the beginning.

80 They used to come around and sell them, like a used car lot. They had these old-fashioned homes and plantations, and they come there to get these slaves. Buyers would come by, brokers, to pick them up.
One day a broker come by a certain plantation. He said, "Well, how many slaves you got?"
Said, "About three hundred."
Said, "I'd like to take a look at them." He went out. And they were sad. They was away from their home. They never ... they never knowed how to... They knowed they'd never go back home again. They'd never see Daddy, they'd never see Mother, the mothers would never see the children. It was a sad thing. And they'd whip them with whips to make them work, try to drive them to make them work.

81 But they noticed one young fellow over there, they didn't have to whip him. His head was up, his chin up, walked around all the time just right at the dot. That broker said, "I want to buy that slave."
The owner said, "But he's not for sale."
He said, "What's the difference in that man?" Said, "Is he the boss over them all?"
He said, "No." Said, "He's a slave."
Said, "Maybe you feed him different than any you do the other."
Said, "No. He eats in the galley like the rest of the slaves."
Said, "What makes him so much different than the other slaves?"
He said, "I wondered, too, till I found out. Over in the homeland in Africa, where they come from, his father is the king of the tribe. And though he's an alien, yet he knows he's a king's son." That's his character. He wanted to act like his father.

82 Oh, what a disgrace it is today, that men and women who claim to be sons and daughters of God, with the nature of God in them---ministers in the pulpit claiming to be sons of God---and deny that there is a divine healing, denying there's an operation of the Holy Spirit!
What a shame it is for our sisters who claim to be saints of God cutting off their hair, and putting their clothes off, and acting the way they do. How ... what a shame it is for our churches to permit men that's married two or three times to be deacons on the board and things. What a disgrace it is!
We ought to realize that, though we aliens in this world, we are sons and daughters of the King of heaven, and we ... our character within us should be like Jesus Christ. And then we might reflect His being. God is in His people. Yes, I believe that with all my heart.

83 John 14:12 said, Jesus said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also."---the same manifestations. Look what we've been finding during this week, how He manifests Himself to be Messiah, the gift that was in Him. He could discern your heart, discern their thoughts, tell them what it was.
A little woman pressed through the crowd one time, touched the hem of His garment. She said, "If I must but touch Him..." She run off in the crowd, stood up, sat down, or whatever it was.
And everybody with their arms around Him, "Hello, Rabbi, young prophet. How you doing?"
Some of them saying, "Hey, I hear you can raise the dead. We've got a graveyard full of them."---critics. You just find them everywhere.

84 And there He was, pressing on through. After awhile He stopped. He said, "Who touched me?"
When Peter might have said these words, "Lord, they'll think there's something mentally wrong. Look at the arms and hands that touch you from everywhere; and then say, 'Who touched me?'?"
He rebuked him for it. Jesus said, "But I felt a different kind of touch---a real touch."
So many of us tonight have confessions, so many of us do different things, but yet, there's a touch, there's something that calls attention to God. And God reflects Himself in His child. The work that He does we are supposed to do the same.
There, the little woman sat down. Jesus looked around until He found her, and He told her about her blood issue, and said her faith had saved her.

85 Oh, we see Him when the little woman at the well come to get a bucket of water. And she was thirsty, and she started to let down the bucket into the well when she heard a young Jew say, "Bring me a drink."
Looked over there, and said, "It's not customary. We have segregation here. You shouldn't ask me, a woman..."
Said, "But if you knew who you were talking to, you would ask me for a drink." And then, went ahead with the conversation till He found what her trouble was. He said, "Go get your husband and come here."
She said, "I have no husband."
He said, "You've told the truth. You've got five, and the one you're living with now is not your husband. You've told the truth."
She said, "Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. And we know that when the Messiah cometh, this is the very thing that he'll do."
He said, "I am he that speaks to you." Oh, my! What was He doing? Reflecting God. What is the church supposed to do? Reflect the same thing that He did. Oh, reflecting---God in His people.

86 I remember in the Bible when an old prophet, so filled with the Holy Spirit till... A Shunammite woman had a baby and it died, and the prophet didn't ... couldn't hear from God nowhere. But he walked up and down the floor, to and fro, until the Spirit of God come on him. He stretched himself up over that little dead baby, and he sneezed seven times and come to life. What was it? That prophet? No, sir. God in His people! That's right. It was God in His people. Certainly. That's exactly right.

87 We find a man by the name of St. Peter didn't have enough education, no seminary experience, had no fellowship card from any organization; but he was filled with the Holy Spirit---God in His people. They'd seen him prophecy, and seen it come to pass; they watched his great life; they heard his influence, a man who spoke like Jesus Christ.
The Bible said that they perceived they were ignorant and unlearned men, but they knowed they'd been with Jesus, see. See, it reflects Himself in you. And they find out, then people believed it so great, so much, God come upon those people till they even laid in the shadow of that ignorant fisherman. And as many as laid there with faith believing, God healed---not the shadow of that fisherman, but God in His people. God operating through His people. Certainly.

88 They seen Paul stand up there and make prophecies, and every one of them happened just exactly; foretell things, and do everything that Jesus Christ did when He was here on earth. They seen that He was with Christ, he knowed Christ was with him, till even they required him to take handkerchiefs and aprons from his body and they laid it upon the sick and afflicted, and evil spirits went out of the people. Diseases was healed. What is it? God in His people.

89 Oh, what we need tonight! Look at last night. I was listening to the tape. A little woman come down from, I believe Oregon, or somewhere. She was a poor woman. She'd spent her money to come here. She had an unsaved husband and children. She was sick and afflicted, come to the platform. Somebody out there thought something different---that I was guessing at what is told wrong with her.
Then the Holy Spirit moved back, and told her who she was, what her name was her mother named her; told her when she was a little baby what her name was given; told her what her marriage name was now; told her where she'd been, what she'd done, where she come from, what she was doing, what disease she had; and said she had a sinner husband and sinner children, and she was suffering with some sort of disease. I don't know now---just listened to the tape.

90 And then, the Holy Spirit come around with "Thus saith the Lord, I give you your husband, I give you your children, I heal you." And today she's well. Her husband was the first one at the altar last night, and her children are saved. What is it? He that knows past tense, present tense, future tense---what is it? God in His people. Amen! That's right. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. He promised these things in the last days.
Here I am, done ten minutes till ten. I'm sorry, I just get talking. I got thirty more scriptures laying here. Oh! I'll save it for tomorrow night.
God in His people. Do you believe God's in His universe? Do you believe God's in His Word? God's in His Son? God in His people? Aren't you happy to know that God is in the universe, God is in His Son, God is in His people. God is still God. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Blessed be the name of the Lord. I tell you... Let's pray. Let's bow our heads.

91 Our heavenly Father, we believe You to be God. We know that You are near. We see You back yonder before the world ever began. We see You stretch forth your hands, and made the world. The world is framed together by the Word of God. The very dirt that we sit on tonight is the Word of God made manifest. If not, where did it come from? You spoke, and it was so. You're still God tonight. O God, let us see the vision of it; let us catch the real meaning of your precious Word. Grant it, Father. Bless us tonight.
I pray that You'll grant tonight that You'll show that You're in your people. Now, they can see You in the universe, they can see You in different places, Lord. Now let's see You appear, our heavenly Father, if it so graces us. I pray that You'll see, Lord, that we do not mean it that we have to see these things; but that your Word might be fulfilled. You didn't need to heal the people to prove You was the Son of God. You did it because You said it was that the Word might be fulfilled. And tonight, You're not doing these things just because You think You ought to do them; You're doing them because You have promised to do them. You are obligated to the Word, Lord, and You're ... certainly always make it true.

92 Here's handkerchiefs laying here, Lord, and sick people way out across the country---little sick children, mothers. You've watched these handkerchiefs. I lay my hands upon them, Father. I know I'm not the St. Paul; but You're still Jesus.
And it was said one time in the Bible that a group of people called the Israelites were obeying your commandment. They were going right in the road of duty. And while standing in the line of duty, the Red Sea got in their way. It cut them off.
Pharaoh's army was approaching; the mountains and deserts was on either side. It ... seemingly that God left Himself no place for retreat. But there was something in the way. You promised them that You'd take them to a new land. The Red Sea got in the way. One writer said that God looked down through that pillar of fire with angry eyes. Said, "When He did, the Red Sea got scared and it moved back, and Israel kept on the journey."

93 O God of heaven, You're still Jehovah tonight. Not only looking through the pillar of fire, but look down through the blood of your own Son tonight. And sickness has stood in the way of these sick people here, that these handkerchiefs represent. Great Jehovah God, when these handkerchiefs are laid upon the sick, may that devil get scared, move back. God, take them to that promise, "I am the Lord that heals all your diseases." Grant it, Father. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, we ask it.
And now, Lord, bless the waiting ones in the audience. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

94 Now, I believe we're just a little late. We've been calling prayer cards each night up to the altar. I believe we'll just call the ones that hasn't got prayer cards tonight, so you'll see that the prayer card has nothing to do with it. How many in here's sick, and doesn't have a prayer card? Raise up your hand. All right. There's not a person here that I see that I know. I can't call one person, only these little singers sitting here in the front.

95 If I said God is in His universe, God is in His people... Do you believe God is in His people? Now each one of you, you look this-a-way. As Peter and John said ... passed through the gate called Beautiful, said, "Look on us." That means to pay attention, listen to what I'm going to say. He said, "Silver and gold have I none. But such as I have [that was faith], such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ, rise up." Reached and got a hold of the man, begin to hold him up till his ankle bones got strong. And then he walked away, rejoicing.

96 As you already know, I'm not educated. I'm not ... couldn't call myself a preacher. I'm kind of a spare tire. But God gave me a gift, as a gift to manifest Jesus Christ, to make the people to see that He still lives. Now, if He's not dead... If He's dead then our religion is in vain.
But I've seen hundreds of religions, as a missionary around the world, facing all kinds of devils, witch doctors, and everything. But our religion is true. Our God lives. He's not dead; He's alive. And He promised, "The works that I do shall you also."
I'll tell you that any man that has confessed his sins under the blood of Jesus Christ, he is a son of God if he's borned of the Spirit of God. They are sons and daughters of God.

97 Now, what if Jesus was standing here tonight, wearing this suit that He gave me through my good friend, Carl Williams? What if He was standing here and had this suit on, and you'd walk to Him, say, "Lord Jesus, will you heal me"? Why, He couldn't do it. He's already done it. By His stripes we were healed. You'd say, "Forgive me." He did that at Calvary. The work was finished of the whole plan of salvation---healing and all was finished.

98 The Bible said that He ascended on high, sits at the right hand of God. Do you believe that? He's there to make intercession, and He is our high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. Do you believe that? Our only intercessor between God and man is Jesus Christ. That's according to the Bible. You might have others try it; but there's only one that God hears, and that's Jesus Christ (That's right.), notice, as He sits there a high priest, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Now, if He was walking here tonight, and you had faith to believe that He could heal you, just like that little woman that believed that God was in His Son... Now you believe God is in His Word; you believe God is in His people.
Jesus raised from the dead, went back to the Holy Spirit, and returned back again living in His people, to do the same works that He did. And the hour has approached for this to be fulfilled, 'cause the ending of the Gentile dispensation is at hand. He did it at the end of the Jewish, the end of the Samaritan, and now at the end of the Gentile---just as He did then. Promised to do it according to the Scripture.
Now, each one of you out there that's sick and needy,

99 and the heavenly Father knows I tell the truth... If there's any person I can see in this building that I know (right at this time looking this way) is these little boys sitting right here, little girl, that sang---is the only one that I see that I know. How many of you out there knows that I don't know nothing about you, you're strangers? Raise up your hands, see. Everybody. I don't care where you're at, in the back, wherever it is.
Now, if Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He's a high priest, then we become a receiving post to Him. The works that He did we're to do also. I know you can hear a psychological sermon. We can talk about what He was, and that's all right. But will it work? We can say He's the same, but will it work? Like somebody trying to sell something: it looks good, but let's see it work.

100 Now, our religion must become in action. Christian religion is an action. It's Jesus Christ, Himself, in action, that can... Just like this here microphone. That microphone is a complete mute until something speaks into it. And then it transmits the voice of what speaks in it. But in itself, it's a mute. And so is any man or woman. You're a mute when it comes to these things.
But if you're in contact and Christ has pulled you around to use you, you are not... It's not your voice; it's His. That's the reason I'll take anybody to record, of the tens of thousands times thousands of times, did you ever see it wrong? It never will be, because it's God. Now, you've got to believe it. You've got to accept it. You must have faith, and don't doubt it.

101 Now, to you out there in the audience, I want you to bow your heads for a few minutes, and I want you to pray like that little woman did. "Lord, I'm sick"; or, "I've got a sick friend"; or, "I'm desperate in need. I have domestic trouble"; or most anything that you have need of.
Say, "Lord Jesus, I know that man don't know me. He's a total stranger to me. But You know me, and I want You, heavenly Father, to help me. I want You to heal me. And I'm going to touch your garment. I'm so far away from him ... wouldn't do no good to touch him anyhow. He's just a man. But I'm going to touch You.
"And he's told that we're living in the last days, and the last sign has struck the church according to the Scriptures, as you come to Abraham---the elect that was called out of Sodom.
"Now, Father God, let it be tonight. Just let it be, Father, that when... Let the man tell me, speak to me, like He did the woman that touched His garment, and I'll believe You with all my heart."
Now let the music get real quiet, if you would, sister.

102 Now pray. Now everybody that's sick, don't no one move, and don't... Someone just took a picture. Don't take no more. See, the Holy Spirit is a light. I watch it.
Now you see where I stand? Here's a sponsoring group of ministers behind me, there's around a thousand people sitting in front of me. I've seen the time when half a million sitting there. I do not know one person. And you, tonight with no prayer cards, I want you to just pray, and say, "Lord Jesus, let this be taken away, all superstition from me. He said God was in His people. He said that God had sent him to declare Jesus Christ in the last days to the church. I'm sick, and if I can just touch your garment tonight...
"They tell me the Bible speaks, and says You're a high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. And the Bible said You're the same yesterday, today, and forever. Then You'd act today like You did yesterday.
"And that woman touched You and sat down in the audience, and You turned around and told her what her trouble was, and said her faith had made her well."

103 Now pray sincerely, and may the Lord God grant the request, is my prayer. Now just be real reverent, pray just a moment. If you're a sinner, say, "Forgive me, Lord." If you're sick and a sinner, say, "Forgive me, Lord." If you're a Christian, you have a right to the tree of life.
Now, if you feel like that you've prayed, and you have something that... Now, you just keep your mind on Christ. You can raise your head if you wish to, and just keep your mind on Christ, and watch this way. Look this way towards me.

104 And now, just believe with all your heart. Say, "Lord Jesus, the best that I know how I've prayed the prayer of faith. And I have no prayer card. I'll not be called in the prayer line. Why, if he calls a prayer line after while, I'll not be there. I have no prayer card. But I have faith, God. Help me."
Now, you do that. And then, if Jesus Christ will come down and anoint us, your faith to believe it, my eyes to see it, and my lips to speak it... And if He does the same thing He did yesterday when He was here on earth, and promised to do it again, then God is in His people. Then you say, "Show us the Father, and it'll satisfy us."

105 Just pray. Now, it's not my faith; it's yours. I'm just waiting for Him to speak to me. If He doesn't speak, then I'll call a prayer line. That's all I can do. I'm helpless without Him. But I'm sure He's here. Exactly. If I could just see somebody that has faith... Don't be nervous. You never get anything being nervous by it. Just reverently, before God, just present your needs.
What a moment. What a moment! See, God, the Word, is the truth and the Word's going to be found. Either I'm a false witness of the Word; or if I've told the truth, God will vindicate that Word's the truth. That's right. God'll have nothing to do with a lie. You know that.
Here it is. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ I take every spirit in here under my control for the glory of God. Believe now, reverently, and believe. That angel that you see in the picture is here at the platform. It goes into the audience. Just a moment. Left...

106 Here it is. Can you see that? It's a little lady sitting right out here on ... next to the end of the row. See that light, amber, right beside of the lady? She's soon to be a mother. Isn't that right? Do you have a prayer card? You don't. You don't need one. But you were believing. Do you believe me to be His prophet, His servant? If the Lord Jesus Christ will reveal to me the things that's in your heart, and what you're here for, will you accept it?
You're nervous, of course, fixing to be a mother. But your trouble is in your back. You're having trouble in your back, and that's really what you was asking God to heal you of. Isn't that right? If that's right, raise up your hand. Now if those things are true---what has been said is the truth---I want you to stand up so the people know it is the truth. Are we total strangers to one another? If that's right, raise up your hand. Is what He said is the truth? If that's right, wave your hand like this.

107 Now, there is a woman that touched His garment. She couldn't touch me. She's thirty or forty feet from me. But she touched His garment. And ask her. She's been praying that God would heal her back, and give her deliverance of that baby. That's right. Is that right? And did it before you come here to the church tonight, and prayed that some way you'd be admitted to the prayer line. If that's right, if that's your prayer, raise your hand. How can I stand here and tell her what she said before she left home? You believe God can tell me what your name is? Mrs. Cisco, believe with all... That's right. If that's right, raise up your hand. Now go home. You're well. God bless you and the child, and your husband sitting there.
Before God, I never seen the woman in my life before. Is Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever?

108 Here, the little Spanish-looking woman sitting there, she was all thrilled about it. She realizes something's going on. She's crying because that light's right over her. I don't know her. I've never seen her. But she had something on her heart she was praying about. It's about her mother. That's right. Have you a prayer card? You don't need one. You don't have any; you don't need one.
Your mother, she's very sick. She's not here; she's in Bakersfield. That's right. You're a minister's wife. That's your husband sitting by you. He's got a brother; he calls him Joe. That is right. Now, if that's the truth, raise up your hand. I've never seen the people in my life. If that's true, you two stand on your feet. If that's true and I'm a perfect stranger to you, raise your hand. You have your request. Go home. Jesus Christ hears you. Praise be to God.

109 That woman sitting right behind with that pink-looking blouse on, have you got a prayer card, lady? I'm a stranger to you. I don't know you. Is that right? But there's a black, dark-looking circle circling the lady. What does it mean? May the Lord God tell me. Yes, I see her fall. She's having some kind of a spell. She has epilepsy. That's right. If that's right, raise up your hand. Do you believe Jesus Christ can heal you? Then accept your healing. May you never have another one, in the name of Jesus Christ. Do you believe with all your heart? Have faith in God.
Do you believe? Notice. Here it is again. Notice. It's over a little woman, a little thin-looking woman, sitting right down here. She's suffering with a anemia condition. (She's going to miss it. Lord God, help me. Please, I pray, Father, don't let it pass her.) Her name is Mrs. Marsh. Stand up, Mrs. Marsh, and be made well in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan thought he'd get by with that, but he missed it. I don't know the woman. I've never seen her in my life. God in heaven knows that.

110 What is it? God in His universe, God in His Word, God in His Son, God in His people. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do you believe it with all your heart? How many believes it? Raise your hands.
How many needs God in your life? Raise your hands, and wave your hands. Now take them waving hands, and lay them over on one another, and I'll pray for you from here. You pray for somebody. Put your hands on one another, and you'll see the glory of God.
I don't care how crippled you are. If there's anybody here in a wheelchair, anybody on crutches, anybody that can't walk, get ready---you're going to walk. You're going to walk out if you believe it. Put your hands on one another, and pray for one another.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is here---God in His people. Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay their hands on the sick they shall recover."

111 Heavenly Father, I come to ask pardoning grace and prayer for these people while we know that your presence is here. I ask that every devil power be broken in the audience, and that Jesus Christ will take over the meeting at this time, and will heal every sick person that's in divine presence. Through Jesus Christ's name I ask it.

112 I believe it. I don't care what's wrong with you, what has been wrong, I'm going to pronounce you healed. If you believe it with all your heart, let your crutches lay where they are. Wherever, whatever's wrong, stand up on your feet and witness to God that you accept your healing at this time. Stand to your feet, and believe with all your heart that Jesus... There you are. That's it. The whole group's standing---one hundred percent. Jesus Christ has healed every person in divine presence that has believed.
Now, if you don't know Him as your Saviour, come up here now and receive Him while His presence is here. Will you walk up here now, and receive Him? Raise up your hands to God, and give thanks and praise, while I ask one of the pastors if he will take the service. God bless you, brother.
