Speak to this Rock

1 Thank you, Brother Reed.
Good evening, friends. Very happy to be here tonight again, to minister in the name of our Lord Jesus. I am happy to say that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. His great loving powers never fails. He's just the same as He always was.
I trust that tonight will prove to be a blessing to many of the people who are without God, without Christ, in the world, alienated, cut off. I trust that they'll come to Christ tonight and be saved and reconciled to God. And I trust it'll be a blessing for many who are sick and afflicted, that they might be made well. May our Lord grant that, is my sincere prayer.

2 Brother Reed does the speaking... First part of the week I was speaking myself, and I was only intending to stay about three or four nights. It seemed like the Holy Spirit wanted me to stay just a little longer. I was preaching; I got just a little bit hoarse. Well, it usually accompanies along, there's such a...
Something happens. You... It's in another world, that you live in two worlds. There's no need of trying to explain it, because you just can't explain it. You just have to believe it. God cannot be explained, He has to be just believed. And when we believe God, then that's by faith. We believe Him, and He heals us, saves us.

3 And now, tonight while there's ... people are standing, and Mr. Reed, our brother here. And I was ... been sitting in the little room for a little while. I usually maybe try to come along about quarter of eight, something like that, seven-thirty, when they pick me up; come up and hear part of the service.
And I was enjoyed that singing, Brother Ryan. I trust that our Lord will let me be that nimble when I'm seventy-three years old, if I live to see it.
I've known Brother Ryan for some time now, and I know that he is a humble Christian. When I first saw him, I wondered how would he wear that hair down to his shoulder, that long beard, why was that? You have to know Brother Ryan to know the reason. If you know him, well then, you'll know why. God only made one---that's him. No one else can take his place. Without the hair to his shoulders, and his... Now someone says, "That's woman's hair." That doesn't bypass for you women, unless, say, you got long hair went to your shoulder. Read the Greek on that. Feminish hair is way down; hair at the shoulder was short hair. So the man used to pull it around, cut it off, that was short hair, but women let theirs grow all the way down, way down.

4 So that's the reason Jesus ... His picture there shows... But He didn't have long hair, not by no means; He had short hair. But today we shore it on up closer.
The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, or the wearing of apparel. It's long-suffering, goodness, meekness, patience, in the Holy Ghost: The kingdom of God.
So I want to read just a little Scripture. And then I'm going to start the prayer line, and pray for the sick. And now, if the Holy Spirit shall come into our presence tonight, to bless us with His great august Being, I trust that you that are unsaved will be saved, and you that are ... are sick will be healed. If there be any wayward here, may you come back to God tonight. That's what the meaning of this ... these meetings are. First thing is to get the people right with God in their heart. That's the first motive. Secondarily, is those wayfaring people might be healed. And then third, is to ... for the glory of God, that the saints might be refreshed; watching, listening, looking on.

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

5 Now the Gospel is not altogether the Word... This is the Word of God, and all things must be based upon this Word. If it isn't, it isn't true. This is... But Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." Now He did not say "Teach the Word"; He said, "Preach the Gospel." So the Gospel consists more than teaching the Word. For Paul, confirming that, said, "The Gospel came to us, not in Word only, but through power." Demonstrations of the Holy Spirit would come and demonstrate the Gospel, bring the Word to a living reality.
If you just receive the Word by knowing the Word, that doesn't do you any good. "The letter killeth, the Spirit giveth life." Then you must be born again, and then the Holy Spirit quickens the Word to you. In other words, like a grain of corn. If it's laying in my hand, it's just a grain of corn; it'll never be nothing else. But bury it, it comes contaminated, molds, and then it brings up another grain of corn just like it.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

6 I used to look at flowers. I just love flowers. I don't believe there is anyone who could look right at a rose or a flower, and say (if he's mentally balanced right), that there is no God. For all the science in the world couldn't make one little thing like that, all of our scientific research. They can make something looks like it, but they can't make that. No more than they could make that ... They could make one looks like it out of paper, but it hasn't got life in it. That's got life in it. That's the secret: The life. God is life.
You watch the little flowers how that they... Summer time you women around here now, I notice sometimes passing through Jonesboro, I notice you have a lot of beautiful flowers. I love that. And in the fall of the year, some of them are still young. You plant them late in the summer and they are young, old, middle-age. But when the frost comes, is death; it kills them all. Young, old alike, bows its little head and submits itself to death. Then the petals drop off, the leaves drop off, and out of there drops a little black seed. Then they have a regular funeral procession, God does, for the flower. He sends the fall clouds over, and they cry. The rain falls down and buries the little seed underneath the ground. Then the cold winter comes, freezes it. The pulp bursts ... the little seed bursts open, the pulp runs out. The ground's all froze over with ice.

7 Well, now in the spring of the year, the flower is gone, the petal's gone, the bulb's gone, the seed's gone, the pulp's gone---everything's gone. But that's not the end of the flower. When that warm sunshine begins to bathe upon the earth, there's a little germ of life, somewhere, hid away, that no science can find. It reproduces the same kind of a flower that went down.
If God made a way for a flower to live again, how much more He did it for a man to live again. The whole basis of Christianity is based upon the fundamental facts of resurrection.
Now, if I should drop this on the floor ... now to pick up this off the floor, would not be resurrection. Or pick up something that looks like it, wouldn't be resurrection. Resurrection is to pick up the same thing that dropped down.

8 Now in different parts of the world, in India and so forth, we find they're sane people, that they believe in God, but... Oh, they believe in ... that we return back an angel, and we got wings and fly, but that's wrong. We'll be men and women just like we are now. Now, only we won't be old, because when...
I look here and see an elderly man and his wife sitting here, perhaps, husband and wife; they are gray. All right, a few years ago, probably a young, fine-looking man, and a young lady, walked down to an altar and got married; black hair both of them, fine, sturdy, young, healthy. They come from babies up to that age---about twenty-two or twenty-three years old. They was at their best. Then, begin to notice one morning when mother come out to fix the dishes on the table for breakfast, there become little wrinkles begin to come under her and dad's eyes. Hair begin to turn gray, dad's shoulders stooped a little. What's the matter? Death's setting in. It's going to get you; it's got to get you. It may pin you many places, and you get out, but finally it's going to win. It's going to take you.

9 But then it falls, like the grain of wheat, when it goes into the earth. But then on the resurrection morning, when it's resurrected again, it will not be resurrected old, and gray, and stooped over. But it'll be just what it was before death ever struck it, because all of death will be taken away from it. Isn't that wonderful? Some of us will be black-headed, some red-headed, some blondes. "Brother Branham is that..." Yes, God isn't uniform. God's without form.
Look here. He makes big trees, little trees, thin trees. He makes white flowers, blue flowers. God's a God of variety. And He makes little people, big people, short people, thin people. That's just the way we'll be in the resurrection. And we shall know each other as we're known. Thanks be to God.

10 My brothers and sisters, for twenty years since being a minister of the Gospel, I've tried to give this to the poor lost mortals of this world, to let them know that they have eternal life, right now, by believing on the Son of God and accepting Him as personal Savior. So simple. Jesus said...
Now listen, Saint John 5:24: "He that heareth My words, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath (present tense), everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation (or judgment), but has passed from death unto life." I only have His Word.
"He that eats My flesh (Saint John 6), and drinks My blood hath everlasting life, and I'll raise him up at the last days." Wonderful. That's His Word. I don't how it's going to be, but it will be.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

11 Now, I want about ten more minutes of the time. Will it be all right, if I can?
In the 20th chapter of Numbers, I read these words:
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ... to the rock before their eyes; and it shall bring forth his ... (His is personal pronoun now) his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so that thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

Numbers 20:7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Numbers 20:8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

12 Shall we bow our heads just a moment.
Our Heavenly Father, we come to Thee tonight as Thy lovely children, yet confessing that we're ... we are deeply sorry for our sins. When we think of Calvary, and of Jesus, and what He had to do for us to redeem us, our hearts melt. Why did that lovely One have to walk Calvary, bleeding back, bloody streak all the way through the city of Jerusalem, up the hill, there with nails pierced in His hand, and a spear in His side, to die in disgrace and shame to save us? We look to Calvary tonight, and confess our wrongs. We're sorry, Lord, forgive us of our shortcomings.
But in the depths of our heart, there lays happiness, because that we know that we are absolutely secure in Christ Jesus. You promised Abraham You would save him and his seed. And we being dead in Christ, take on Abraham's seed and are heirs according to the promise, by the Holy Spirit. New life, life coming into us, making us believe the supernatural like Abraham did, taking God at His full value, His promise. We thank Thee.

Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

13 Now bless this people tonight. Laying here before me is a group of handkerchiefs. Bless the dear people who sent these. They read in the Bible where they taken from the body of Paul ... they believe that You are still the same Holy Spirit in the same church. And I know I'm not Saint Paul, the apostle, but Jesus is still the same Lord. Bless these handkerchiefs for their intended purpose. The people that wear them, may they get well, Father. Bless us together, heal the sick, save the lost tonight. For we ask it in Christ's name. Amen.

Acts 19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

14 I wanted to teach some this week. But you see, when it's ... crowds are standing, and so forth, it's hard. One of these days, I would like to come back to Jonesboro, go rent some big tent to seat about ten thousand people. And set it out here and stay about two months, so we could have a real revival.
And then, if you notice how that God promised the children of Israel He would take them out of Egypt after four hundred years they had been down there. Joseph had been taken down, one of the patriarchs, died down there, but made mention of a parting of Israel. All those patriarchs looked forward to the Word of God being fulfilled.
How simple when you can just believe God's Word and take Him at what He says. Isn't it simple? Just love. If you love Him, love in your heart for God will create faith.

15 If you love your mother real well, love your father, love your husband, or your wife, it'll create a faith. The love for my wife, when I leave her, I don't have to have...
Man's always tried to do something to save himself. There's nothing you can do about it; God saves you unconditionally. He just calls you, predestinated you to be saved; and somebody is predestinated to be lost. The Bible said so. Men of old, foreordained to this condemnation.
Esau and Jacob, both born from the same parents. Before either child was born (said Romans 9), not knowing good from evil, God said---that the election might be sure---God said, "Esau have I hated, and Jacob have I loved." Before either one of them done anything about it, see.

Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

16 "No man can come to Me except the Father draws him." You said, "Oh, I sought God, I went seeking for Him." No, no, God sought for you, not you for God. Human nature proves that. When Adam sinned, he didn't start hunting God, he started hiding from God. And Jesus said, "No man can come to Me except the Father draws him." Then God drawed you first.
How many in here, sinner or saint, has said this, "I have ... know that God has spoke to me, trying to get me to come to His Son, Christ Jesus." Let's see your hand. Just raise your hand, sinner or saint, don't matter who you are.
You mean there's only about one-third of this people that ever heard God speaking to you to become a Christian? I ought to change my text and preach the Gospel and call for an altar call, see. Sure. If it isn't ... "No man can come to Me except God, the Father, draws him," said Jesus. See. Now. "Then he that comes, I will in no wise cast out. He that comes, I'll give him everlasting life."

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

17 Now that's not just from one revival to another, that's everlasting life---forever, imperishable. We are sowed with the incorruptible seed of God which cannot perish, see. It's incorruptible, it can't perish.
And how that God made His promise and how He brought His people. Joseph down there when he died, he made mention of his bones, that they shouldn't bury him there.
There is a little seed here. I'd like to drop it just for a moment, if you'll bear with me. Now this is between the lines.
You know the Bible is written, and scholars... As I heard a man on the radio this afternoon denying divine healing, said, "Bring me a little baby over here. Let me put a scratch on its arm, let these divine healers come and make it well, then I'll believe divine healing." Oh, my! That man needs to be in a psychopathic ward. That's right. Well, that ... I've got a child six years old would know better than that. But yet, there you are.

18 Why, certainly. That's the same spirit that said, when they put a rag around Jesus' eyes and hit Him on the head, said, "Now You're a Prophet, tell us who hit You." It's the same one that said to Him, hanging in the cross, said, "Now, if You be the Son of God, come down and we'll believe it."
Jesus said, "I don't do nothing till the Father shows Me. And when the Father shows Me, that I do, otherwise..." He didn't clown for people. This is not a stage show vaudeville act. It's the power of God unto salvation to those who believe. Now, but let them alone. Blind lead the blind, they'll fall in the ditch.
Now, Jesus said, in the Scriptures declare, that God has hid this Gospel from the eyes of the wise and prudent (so you'll never know it by theology), and will reveal it to babes such as will learn. Is that right? So just remember, it's hid from the smart people. You'll never know it. You don't know it by your theology, by education, you know it by faith. You believe it, and faith is something you can't see or know.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Matthew 26:67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

Matthew 26:68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

Matthew 27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Luke 22:64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

19 Look at this simple little thing now, one thing here. My, back there, my little old cave at Green's Mill, how many times the Holy Spirit coming down revealing things, sit there and cry. Something God making mention, hard to see. You can't see it with the natural eye. You can't look on it in the Word.
Did you ever read... How many of you ever read a line from your wife? When I was in Africa, my wife would write me a letter, she'd say, "Dear Husband, I am sitting here tonight thinking of you." I love her. When I left home I didn't have to say, "Now, look. Don't you go with nobody else. I'm your husband. And don't you get out of here, don't you do that." I don't have to do that. She loves me and I love her. And I say, "Goodbye, honey. Pray for me." I go on. She just knows that's what she has... She just does it. So I do the same thing, because I love her. She loves me, so it's just a love affair.
That's the same way it is with God. I just take His Word, and you just ... we ... that's just all there is to it. No matter what, you see.

20 But when she writes me a letter, she might kind of hold a little back, refrain. And she'll say a certain-certain things. But now, while she's talking in the letter ... I'm reading that letter, but I read between the lines, too. I know what she's talking about. I can read between the lines.
Now there's a whole lot of that so in this great love story of the Bible. Read between the lines. There's the structure work. The Bible is the structure, but the Holy Spirit's building the building now. Certainly. It's got to frame together and look like this, and like that, and like that, but the Holy Spirit's putting it together.

21 Just as Solomon's temple was cut out all over the world, one block was cut this way and one cut that way. When they come together, every block went right to its place without a buzz of a saw, or a sound of a hammer. The great church of the living God is born-again, stones cut out. That's right.
One of these days, persecution's going to set in. A bunch of these cold, indifferent, ecclesiasticals will form themselves together with the confederation of church, and will run together, melt right together in one common thing.
Notice, now, like Job, when he was old. He was sitting out there, and he said... His wife told him, said, "Job, why don't you curse God and die the death." Said, "You look miserable." Sitting there on an ash heap, scraping himself with a piece of crock, scraping his boils, broke out all over. Satan had tempted him, had put boils all over him, killed his children, took everything he had. Some people might say, like they did then, "That man's a horrible sinner." But God was dealing with a saint, not with a sinner. So Job knew in his heart he hadn't sinned.

Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

22 So then here come his church members, and sat seven days with their backs turned to him. What consolation! "Days of miracles has passed, Job." But Job, he knew different. He was holding out. Then God sent Elihu down. Eli... We haven't time to go into those names: Eli, Eli-ve, God representing, the representative of Christ. Come and He didn't accuse Job of being a secret sinner, but he told Job...
As Job noticed the trees dying, and things, and living again ... he said, "A man layeth down and giveth up the ghost, yea, where is he? His sons come to mourn, he perceive it not."

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Job 14:21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.

23 And Elihu says to him, in like so many words like this, "You see the flower never sinned. Corn and stuff, it reproduces for life here on earth, but there is coming a just One, who will stand in the breach between man and God, and put His hand on a sinful man, and a holy God, and bridge the way. Then the man shall rise again."
Then, when Job noticed that, he raised up. Oh, I love this! Raised up, shook himself, the lightnings begin to flash, the thunders roar. A prophet got in the right line with God; something takes place. Stood up, said, "I know my Redeemer liveth. In the last days, He'll stand upon the earth. Though the skin worms destroys this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God, whom I shall see for myself. My eyes shall behold, and not another."

Job 14:2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

24 Notice, prophesying. Then, let me drop a little between the line here for you, just a moment. Then we'll close; I won't have time to get to the text. Notice, all right. When Job died, he specified his burial place, and was buried in Palestine. The oldest book in the Bible is Job.
Along came Abraham after the antediluvian destruction, and so forth. They come down out of Babylon, out of the tower of Babel, down into Shinar. There Abraham was give the promise. And then, when Sarah died, Abraham's wife and sweetheart, he bought a parcel of ground... They wouldn't let him give it to him because he wanted it to be sure.

25 All right, thinkers of the Scripture, get your mind working right now. Watch this. He bought a piece of ground in the same place where Job was buried, to bury his dead out of his sight. And Sarah was buried there. Abraham, when he died, he slept in the same tomb with Sarah. Abraham begot Isaac. When Isaac died, Isaac slept with Abraham. Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob died down in Egypt. But when he died, said, "Don't bury me down here. Take me back into Palestine and bury me." And he made Joseph put his hand on his hip, where he'd limped all of his life, or the biggest part of his life...

Genesis 25:10 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

Genesis 47:29 And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:

Genesis 47:30 But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said.

26 Look at him there at the river. A big, strong, healthy man, on this side; running from God on the other side, a limping prince. Oh, my! How he said, "Joseph, my son, put your hand on my hip (limping prince), and swear by God that you'll not bury me down here." I wonder why? Took him up in Palestine and buried him.
Joseph ... and he died, he said, "Don't you bury me down here." Wonder why? Said, "Take my bones and bury them up in the promised land, up in Palestine." Why? It's not written in the Word, it's between the lines. They were prophets, they knowed that---what was going to take place.
Along came Jesus, the One that Job saw, his Redeemer... And they wanted to be buried the same way Job was, same place he was, same way he was. So then when Jesus came on Easter morning, when He rose from the tomb, they said, "Many of the saints that slept in the dust of the earth, rose and come out of the grave and entered into the city and appeared to many"---Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job. What was it? Look brother. They knowed there was no resurrection down in Egypt; the resurrection was in the promised land.

Genesis 50:24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

Genesis 50:25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

27 So that's when I say today, you can call me holy-roller, if you want to. Call me fanatic, if you want to. But bury me in Jesus or those who are in Jesus, God will bring with Him at the resurrection. Let them say what they want to. They may call fanatics, anything, but those that are in Christ will God bring with Him. So it makes a difference. Sure it does. Put me amongst the fanatics then, for those that are in Christ ... "Well, are they fanatics?" All that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecutions. Amen. Oh, then there they are.
God working with the children of Israel... When He got over there in the wilderness, bringing them out, they begin to murmur. How quickly they forgot all the signs that Moses had done. How they forgot that God told him, "Now, Moses, I'm sending you down there. I'm giving you two signs to perform, and when you do it, they're going to believe you."
Moses said, "I can't speak very good, Lord."

Exodus 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Exodus 4:8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

Exodus 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

28 He said, "Well, I'll give you signs, and when you do these signs, they'll believe you." And he did the signs one time, and all Israel followed. And what was with Moses? A pillar of fire. "I send My Angel before you, to keep you in the way. Not only that, but I'm going to let Him be there so the people can see Him."
Same Holy Spirit today, same Angel of God today. Signs and wonders, just exactly the same. A separated people, called out, on the road to a promised land... John 14: "In My Father's House are many mansions. I'll come and receive you." We're on our road.

Exodus 4:8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

Exodus 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

29 Notice, and how quick they forgot the miracles. Just like the people do today, when the trials come on. Then notice again, the waters begin to dry up in the deserts, and they couldn't find nothing to drink.
And how quick the carnal mind would pick this up. God told Moses, "Go speak to the rock."
"Speak to the rock? Why that's the driest place of all the dry places." See. How foolish the carnal mind would think. "Speak to the rock? Why that's the driest thing. That rock laying there is drier than all the rest of the desert. And if we've been everywhere and can't find water, what do you mean, get water out of that rock?"

30 That's the way they think. They say, "Well, that bunch of fanatics. If God is going to do anything He..." Driest place, it looks. But God did it anyhow. And he spake to the rock, and the rock brought its waters; saved the perishing people.
And today, that Rock is Christ Jesus that was smitten for you. Speak to Him. Maybe you've been everywhere, maybe you've tried everything. But tonight, speak to the Rock. It'll bring forth It's waters for salvation, for healing, for all that you have need of. Do you believe this?
May the Lord add His blessings to you, while we bow our heads in a moment of prayer, while Sister Reed, or some of them will come to the piano, or the organ, rather.

31 Oh, my, tonight, if we were looking to see Jesus... You know that old song, I Want To See Jesus, Don't you? Well, now, He's with us. What will it be when we see Him? He said, "A little while and the world will see Me no more, but yet, you'll see Me. I'll be with you, even in you, to the end of the world." How wonderful! Now have faith. Believe with all your heart.
Now if He's here tonight, His Spirit will be working with His people. "Ill be with you." The Bible said, "When the Holy Ghost is come, He will bring these things to your memory that I have taught, and will show you things to come." That's the work of the Holy Spirit. Now He's here.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

32 And now someday, the Jesus that's working through these poor little dim lights that we are---as a little lamp light up side of a big, million-watt light He would be... But these little lights, let's let them show to the world as His power is working through us. Someday, He will come in a visible body form; we shall see Him then.
Father, needy people sitting here---needy of God, needy of salvation, needy of the Holy Spirit, needy in their bodies. Thy Word is truth, O Lord. Now the Word without the Spirit is dead. But germitize that Word with the Spirit, tonight, and may it bring forth a hundred fold.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

33 If You were standing here tonight, You would say to us, "I can do nothing except My Father will show Me." You know what these people are thinking about out there. The Bible said You perceived their thoughts. You know where there was a fish at, had a coin in his mouth. Certainly. The Father told You, when You got up there, to have Peter go down and catch a fish. You just told him. For You said, Yourself, Lord, that You didn't do nothing till the Father showed You. "When the Father shows Me, then I work hitherto." How simple.
How the unbelievers rose up in that day, and said, "Let Him do this, and let Him heal all them at Bethesda. Let Him do this or that, and we'll believe Him. Come down off the cross. Tell us who hit You on the head." No. You only done what the Father told You. And You said, "The things that I do, you will also. And if they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call you. But blessed are you when you are persecuted for righteousness."
Bless this little church tonight. You knew the woman's sins; you know different things. You knowed where there was some mules hitched one day, where two ways met.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Matthew 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Matthew 21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

Luke 5:22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?

Luke 6:8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

Luke 22:64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?

John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

34 And I pray, God, tonight, that You'll come in Your power. And may the Son of God come in the Holy Spirit form and anoint everyone here. And may the Holy Spirit anoint your servant, Lord, that the power and the Word of God might be fulfilled. When we see You walking on the shores of Galilee, and through the city streets, You could only do as the Father said do. And may we work the will of God, tonight, by doing what the Father says do.
Bless the people everywhere, heal the sick. For we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

35 The boy give out prayer cards this afternoon in the building here. And he give them out to people, U-1 to 100. We're certainly squeezed for room tonight, but let's see if we could have about fifteen of those. We've been taking about fifteen at a time. See if we'd have about fifteen of them stand up here. Start with 50. U-50 to... That would be 50 and 10, 60 ... 65. From U-50 to U-65, stand first.
Now turn the card over. Look at your neighbor's card, if he's got one, because he might be deaf and can't hear. You'd have to bring him up to the platform, if he's holding those cards. And if he's laying on a cot, stretcher somewhere, why you just look at it. Then when his card number is called, you just come, wave your hand like that, one of the ushers... And then when his number is called, I will ask the Father here to speak to the person out there.

36 And now, line up here to my right, if you will. U-1 ... I imagine you are scattered all through the building because they're just ... U-50, who's got U-50? U-50? All right. U-51, 52, 53, 54, 55, on up to about 60, or 65. Let them stand first, if you will. Right up here to the right, if you will, for the prayer line.
Now, how many in here is sick and needy and wants to be prayed for, and does not have a prayer card? Wants to be prayed for, raise your hands like this, all over the building. It's a solid mass, everywhere.

37 Well, now look and listen to me now. Your faith, I challenge in the Name of the Lord Jesus. You look this way and believe the story that I've told is the truth, and see if the Heavenly Father doesn't speak right out through the audience and get you. Every person in here can be healed tonight. There's no need of... If you could only understand. Brother Reed and them speaks about how to receive healing, I suppose, and things, before I get here, and the great fundamentals of divine healing.
Now, this is our... Our group is broke up. Brother Bosworth's in Durban, South Africa, getting ready for the meetings, setting the national committee together. We was there a few months ago, and had thirty thousand converts in one altar call---Durban, South Africa.
Then we're going to India. Baron Von Blomberg, a baron of Germany, which is one of our managers, leaves the fifteenth to go to make a dinner with Nehru in India. I have a little dinner with Nehru, then we come back to have a dinner with the king of Trans-Jordan. And we go into the Mohammedans.

38 Then to Palestine, to the Jew. Oh, I just have a vision here, throwed out. God's going to give thousands of souls to His Son during that time. Will you pray for me?
And remember, at the great day of the judgment, your prayers will be counted just as much in that revival, as my efforts would be to go bring it. We're coworkers together in Christ Jesus. Is that right? Your prayers.
Remember Dwight Moody, what he said when he was converted down there? That little, old wash woman been praying for him. Who got the credit? The wash woman. She was the one led Moody to Christ. John Smith, Calvin, Knox, many of the great reformers, was all come by prayer.

39 Now while they're getting the lines lined up, wonder if we could stand just for a moment, kind of a change of posture, and just sing, Only Believe, if you will. Let's sing now, everybody together now.
Only believe, only believe,
All things are possible, only believe;
Only believe, only believe,
All things are possible, only believe.
Now, let's sing it like this, with our hands up. How many believe that Jesus, the Son of the living God, has promised to be with His church, even in His church, to the end of the world? Well, if He's here tonight, as He promised, as has been scientifically proven, also not only that, but in the meeting, He'll do just what He did back there. Is that right?

40 Now, He said, (Saint John 5) that He couldn't do nothing... They was questioning Him, I suppose, about why He didn't heal all those people ... see Him pass through the pool of Bethesda.
I was noticing them checking the prayer cards here of these, twisted and afflicted laying here. Don't be worried. Now if some unbeliever come by and say, "Heal that man that's crippled up, twisted up, then I'll believe it." Look at Jesus going through the pool of Bethesda where the lame, halt, blind and withered was laying. Never healed a one of them. Walked right by every one of them, full of love and virtue. Is that right? And walked over to a man laying on a pallet, and said... For Jesus knew he was laying there, the Father had showed Him. And He healed that man, went away.

John 5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

John 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

John 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

41 And the Jews questioned Him. He said, "I can do nothing except the Father shows Me. And whatever the Father shows Me, that I do." Is that right? Now He's the same Jesus tonight. Is that right? Now let's believe it and raise up our hands and sing: Now I Believe. Come on now.
Now I believe, now I believe,
All things are possible, now I believe;
Now I believe, now I believe,
All things are possible, now I believe.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

42 Our Heavenly Father, send Your Spirit tonight, and bless us together as we wait on Thee for the farther part of the service. In the beloved name of Jesus, Thy Son, we ask it. Amen.
Of course, anyone is aware now. I want you to understand this. It's your brother here, doesn't claim to be a healer. I am no healer, no other man's a healer. God is the healer. Jesus didn't claim to be a healer. He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works, it's My Father, dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works." See. So if He didn't claim to be a divine healer, why should I or any other man? We're not. If you're honest, you're not. There's nothing in me or any other man could heal you, has to come from God.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

43 The only thing... We have gifts that we can point to God for what He's already done for you. He saved every sinner in here now. He saved you nineteen hundred years ago. If you'll accept it, tonight, you'll have pardoning grace. He healed you nineteen hundred years ago when He was striped on His back. If you'll accept it, you'll have healing. The only thing we can do is preach or have a vindication of His presence by divine gifts. May the Lord grant the blessing.
Now, I wish that you would be just as reverent as you can for a few moments. I don't blame you from rejoicing, but in this kind... It's a very solemn affair. So just be as reverent as you can. Be in prayer. You can watch me, but be in prayer, 'less I tell you to put your head down. Then when you do, if something takes place... Sometimes, like epilepsy, it's very hard to deal with. And the thing will just carry on. Sometimes it throws the patient into spells, and I've just seen everything take place.
Now when I ask you to do that, then you keep your head bowed, and just keep in prayer. Surely, Christians know how to hold onto God in that hour. All right.

44 Now, let's see. Are you ... lines ready. Now to him that's operating this tape... As the meetings go on each night, the anointing begins to get very deep, if you understand. You break into another dimension, see. Sometimes I don't know how loud I'm talking. Just imagine standing here now, talking, and something that happened back yonder forty years ago, and in spirit, I'm back there with them, where that's happening. And know when I'm talking, don't know where my voice ... I know I'm supposed to be here in this tabernacle; I am here, but yet out yonder somewhere. You don't know what a feeling it gives. It's no wonder Daniel said he was troubled at his head, and different things taken place. See, just like...

45 How many in here ever dreamed a dream? Now you couldn't dream a dream. I tell you, "Dream me a dream." You couldn't do it. Now that's your subconscious. Now, an ordinary person dreams, for his subconscious is about that far from him. When this conscious becomes inactive, this one sets up. And how many remembers things that you dreamed years ago? What caused you to remember it? You were somewhere in some kind of a condition, wasn't you, because you still remember it when this conscious becomes active?
Well now, some people doesn't dream at all. Their subconscious would be way back, like, to that wall. Now a person... You can't make yourself what you are. I believe that gifts and callings are without repentance. God gives them sovereignly as He will. God... You couldn't come to God unless God called you. It's God who calls you, God who gives you, God who blesses you in church, God who does everything. That in Him rests all in all. That's Scriptural as it can be, and you know that's right.

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

46 But now, look. A seer, his subconscious is not back there, neither is it here. It's right here. You don't go to sleep, you just break from one into the other, one into the other. And when you just let it alone, it comes at it's own leisure. But here it is just like raising up looking through a knot hole to see something. You're praying. You're taking up a parable, which is words that God gave me alone to know.
And you keep this, repeating, then you break, and you see the person as you're contacting them that catch their spirit. It goes to them. Then you just see something happen maybe it'll close off. Maybe you'll look again, you'll see something else that'll close on. But, now when God gives it just at His leisure, He just, looks like, raises you up over the fence, and lets you see the whole thing, what's all about.
Now, be in prayer. I want to talk to the woman, and everyone be real reverent now. [Brother Branham speaks to the lady: "You watch me. Don't get too tired or weak, [unclear words].]

47 Now up here, you people up here, this is the first time in years that I've ever tried to work with people sitting behind me, see. You are spirits, too. Did you know that? You are... Every person in here is a spirit, and a natural. So your spirit... You're actually looking this way, and you feel it this way, and you feel it this way, and you feel it this way, and feel it this way.
How many has been in our big meetings, out somewhere else where we have big meetings? You know we don't have that, do we? No. There's no one around the platform, no one at all, just myself. Maybe the manager or somebody, ushers helping them up the platform, or something. But there's nobody there. I catch that person individually.

48 Now here, maybe I would be talking to this woman ... Maybe somebody with real high faith out here, rise, it'll throw a vision before me here. And I'm talking to this woman, yet it means that woman over there. But so far, in all the time, God has never failed to let me be straightened out on it. So I believe He'll... He's never failed. It's never failed one time since I been born. Not one time. I ask anybody to look that up. And not one thing has It ever predicted, but what come just exactly the way it does.
Now because the people are prayed for here, that don't mean they're healed. No, no. When you hear that Spirit moving, say "Thus saith the Lord," then you watch what It says. I just pray for the person; it's just something to stimulate their faith. But you watch, I've noticed...

49 And my boys told me, and (Mr. Ryan and them), that several times on the platform, It spoke directly to the person and told them just what was going to happen. When It does that, you mark that down, or get it off the tape in there. Watch what happens. I'll put my life to it. It'll be just exactly what It says, when you hear It say it's "Thus saith the Lord." But, if I'm just praying, I'm just praying like I pray for you, or someone, or any persons out there, where it would take place.
Now, I want you all be in ... just ... you don't have to bow your head, but just---just keep reverent, and keep praying, if you will.
Now, little lady, I wish you'd stand around this way, if you will, sister. No. Like here, just stand right like this and look right at me. That's it. Now, I'd like for you do that 'cause it kind of gives more of an opening that way than it does back here.

50 Now, I suppose that you and I are strangers. I don't remember you. What is your name? [Sister says, "Myrtle Swaller."] Slaughter. ["Swaller."] Swaller. Well, I'm glad to meet you, sister. And I trust that God will do something for you, tonight that will help you. I don't know why you're up here, I don't know nothing about you; I never seen you in my life. But God knows you, doesn't He? He knows you. You're conscious that something's going on now, see, but that's not nothing to hurt you.
Now, if you'll watch the patient, a real sincere patient ... quickly... Now, this woman is a believer, see. The Spirit's already caught me, and It caught her, too. Now, I don't know her, but you... Let's see if this is the truth.
You're aware that something's going on. Isn't that right, sister. Now if that is, raise up your hand. That's right.

51 Now the Angel of the Lord, which you see on this picture, is right here now. Now just be real reverent. Now, we'll see what He says. Now, He has to use a human voice, see. He uses human eyes.
Now if He... That light there, that bulb would say to that window glass out there, "Look here what I can do. I can light up at nighttime." No, it can't. It's the current that lights it up. It was made a light bulb, but that window gives light, also, from the sun, see. So neither one of them can say, "Look what I am." It's the light that shines through them, see. So no one can say, "Who am I?" It's who is He? He, the lovely One.
Well, now, sister, I wanted just to talk with you just a little bit, you being the first patient. And I guess you think that I dread that, but I don't, see. It's just the anointing of the Spirit catching you away first. You see what I mean? But you know that He's close and near, and it's His presence---it's His presence that does these things. And then He's the only One who can help you or I, either one.

52 But now you, as a Christian sister, and me as your Christian brother, and God, is our Father, who looks over both of us. Now He knows you, He knows me. I don't know you, nor you don't know me, but He knows us both. Now, there's something wrong with you, and He's sent me to help you to believe in Him, see. Now that's, that's... Now if He will do that, will you accept Him? All right. I just want to ... I'm doing this for a cause, lady. Yes, ma'am.
Now you're... You have been sick for some time, I know that, because I see a long dark streak moving from you now. Yes, you've been very... You have heart trouble. You have a leaking of the heart. Isn't that right? The doctors hasn't even give you hope. They say you can't live but a little while. Isn't that right? They told you that. Is that true now? ["Yes sir, they said they didn't know just how long I could live, but I couldn't live if I done anything but lay up and rest after."] I can see kind of a heavy-looking fellow, he's talking there, speaking. It left me. That was a vision.

53 You're... There's something else that you're try... you got on your mind. You are thinking about somebody. Something that... Oh, yes, you got some friends here tonight, too, that you wanted to see get healed. Isn't that right? ["Yes sir."]
You have a lady friend that you're... No, it's her husband that you're concerned about. And the man's had a stroke or something, isn't that right? And isn't he a minister? ["Yes."] A preacher? ["Yes, sir."] He's had a stroke. And you're ... you've been worried about them, thinking...
That's the man laying right there. Aren't you a minister, sir? His faith was pulling that, so I could tell. You was looking down at him, that's probably how I caught that. Well, let's pray.

54 Lord Jesus, bless them all. Thou knowest all things. Then may the woman be healed, may the minister get well, Lord. Bless Your servant there, heal his body. Let him come out of the stroke and preach the Gospel again from the platform, for the glory of God, in Jesus' name. Amen.
As you go down, lay your hand upon the minister, as you go down.
Let's say, "Thanks be to God."
My reverend brother, that's right, in the name of the Lord Jesus, may God heal the man. Does he...? He doesn't have a prayer card, does he? He has one. He don't have... That's okay. All right, all right.

55 Now everyone reverent. Please now, and be in prayer. Do you believe the Holy Spirit is here?
[Gap in the audio.] It's liver trouble. And it's bothering one of your lungs, also. The doctors don't know what's the matter with you. [A sister says, "That's right."] Your doctor told you he didn't know what was wrong with you. Isn't that right? Right there in the room that day. You know what I'm talking here. ["Yes, yes."] Stand there. And didn't they move the gall bladder? ["Yes."] I see them taking something out of the place. ["Amen."] Isn't that right? ["Amen."] Amen.
Well, God knows what's wrong with you. ["Yes."] You believe if I'd ask Him He'll let you get well? ["Yes."] Come here, sister.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Bless this child that comes, Lord, humbly. I pray that You'll heal her. May she go out of this building, tonight happy, rejoicing. Cursed be this disease of her body, and may it go from her in Jesus Christ's name. I ask it for the glory and praises of God. Amen.
God bless you, sister. Go rejoicing, and may He be with you. Have faith in God.

56 Now, just a moment. There's another person ready for an operation right here. It's a young lady. She's got varicose veins in her legs, I believe, and she's ready for an operation. God bless you, young lady. Is that true? Have faith in God. Would you stand up again just a moment? Isn't those veins on your limb between here and there, varicose veins? It's serious. You accept your healing now of Jesus Christ? Why would He show me you, and you sitting way back in that audience there, if it wasn't? Have faith in God.
The same God who knew where a fish was that had a coin in his mouth, knew where you were sitting. God bless you, young lady. May you get well and serve God all your days. Bless God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your strength, and God shall bring it to pass.

57 How do you do, sir? Do you believe me to be God's prophet? ["Yes, sir."] Our Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, sir. He's always full of mercy and full of compassion for those who will believe on His name. And I trust that you do that, sir. What is your name, sir? ["Chapman."] Chapman, Mr. Chapman. I'm glad to meet you, and may the Lord bless you. Yes, sir. You're a very sick man. You have a rare blood disease. Isn't that right? It's tumorous condition in the cells in the blood, I believe, if I understood in the vision what the doctor said. Isn't that right?

58 And, also, my friend, you need Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Isn't that right? You are a sinner. Will you accept Him now? No, you've tried several times, but you just haven't got to that place where you're... Will you accept Him now? If you will, raise your hand.
Almighty God, Author of life, Giver of every gift, send Thy blessings upon the man. Heal him, Lord. Don't let him die [unclear words]. Let him go, Lord, and be healed and full of the Holy Ghost. May It come upon him, and may he be a saved man to save others from a life of sin. Grant it, Lord, in Jesus Christ's name, I ask it. Amen.

59 If God, Who knew your heart, my brother, knows all about you... Go in peace now, and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and be made well. God bless you.
You keep praying, don't you, lady? You got tired of the head, don't you lady. Isn't that right? All right, stand up and accept your healing now, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you. Some kind of a running that comes from your head, the doctor told you it's [unclear word]. Have faith now, and it'll go away from you.
Come...
You believing out there, all of you?

60 That lady sitting way back there at the end of that row, would you like to get over that asthma, sister? Like to get over the asthma condition, sitting back there? If you do, you could raise up. God bless you. Go home now, and be well. I meant the lady back in the corner. That's right. If you want to accept it the same way, the Lord bless you.
How do you do, lady? You believe? Now as those people out in the audience there ... but we're are standing side by side. Do you believe that His presence is here? Do you believe the Holy Spirit is here at the platform? If It is, and I be God's prophet, your life you couldn't hide. If there's anything wrong with you, God will let me know. But if you're here just as a deceiver, God will let me know. But you're not, you're a Christian. And you got tumors. Them tumors is in your side. Is that right?
You seem to have a sad heart about something. Yes. There's someone else you're interested in. Isn't that a little boy, little child about seven or eight years old? And he has a rheumatic fever. ["That's right.] Is that right? ["Glory!"] Come here.

61 God, bless this woman and her little boy, and may they both be made well as I bless them. May they go in the name of the Lord Jesus and be made well, for the glory of God.
God bless you. Now, go home and God's grace and peace be upon you.
Have faith in God.
You want to get over that asthma sitting back there? Lady with that little checkered dress on here in front, looking at me like that?

62 If you want to get over it, you may, if you want to accept your healing. The lady next to you there, you have an asthmatic condition, don't you? Just raise up and say, "I accept my healing in the name of the Lord Jesus." God bless you now. Go home and get well.
Mister, you have heart trouble, sitting right there, don't you? You been praying. You was sitting there praying for me to call you next, wasn't you? God revealed your prayer to me. Stand up and accept your healing, my brother.
I challenge anybody to pray and believe it. Have faith in God.

63 A fellow sitting right out at the end of the row there, sitting there suffering with arthritis, sitting right out there. Fellow there, sitting next to him has high blood pressure. That right? Rise and be healed, in the name of the Lord Jesus. Accept your healing.
God bless you, lady. That lady sitting right back there with anemic condition, sitting right there. Raise up, sister, the Lord makes you well now. You can go home and be made well.
Have faith in God. Way back in the audience, pray. All spirits now is subject to me through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit takes over every spirit in here. Nothing can be hid.

64 Bring the lady. How do you do, lady? Are you well aware that you're standing in His presence? You got some kind of a female disorder. It's a cancer, and that cancer is on the womb. Isn't that right? Now, see ... it looks like a table ... you're walking away from a table, refusing food. You got a stomach trouble. Is that right? Do you believe if I will ask... Do you believe I'm a believer? Well, He said, "If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." Do you believe that? Come here, then.
O God, laying hands on the woman, in the name of Jesus, may she go be healed. Amen.
God bless you, lady [unclear words]. Don't doubt. Believe with all your soul that is within you.
How do you do? You want to get over a heart trouble? Accept your healing then, and go on out rejoicing, saying, "Thank You, Lord Jesus."

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

65 All right. Come, lady. Have faith now. If this audience could only see. Look here, lady. Do you believe me to be His prophet? Do you believe if God would tell me what was wrong with you, you'd have faith enough in Him then to know that He's standing here, and I've told the truth. And He has already healed you. You believe that, don't you? You've been suffering with a stomach trouble, haven't you? Now go eat what you want to, if you believe. God bless you. Have faith. Have faith in God.

66 How do you do? Do you believe? You want to get over the heart trouble, be made well? All right, then go, and believe God. I lay hands upon you in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, that you be healed. God bless you.
Have faith. Don't doubt nothing. All things are possible to them that believe.
Seemingly, the Angel of the Lord has stopped right... Oh, it's that lady sitting there, lady with heart trouble. You want to be made well, lady? All right. God bless you.
I thought it was a little girl, but it was hanging to the lady.
You have high blood pressure, don't you, sir, sitting right back behind her there. Your wife has a trouble with her breathing. Looks like her breathing doesn't come and go right. Isn't that true? All right. You want to accept your healing? Then stand up, and be made well, the both of you.
What you need is faith!

67 Looks like I see some colored people standing back there. How many of you is there back there? How many? About three? Stand up on your feet. Jesus Christ died for you. Look this way. Do you believe me to be His prophet? I can't heal you, but Jesus Christ has healed you when He died at Calvary. Do you believe if God will reveal to me what you are, and who you are, and where you are, something about you, that you'll accept your healing?
The man to the left doesn't have nothing, hardly, wrong with him; he's a pretty healthy man. The one in the middle has heart trouble. Or, no, he's blind, that man's blind. And this woman next to it, has heart trouble. Is that right? If that's right, raise up your hands. Then the rest... Then go home and be made well in the name of the Lord Jesus. Have faith.

68 Come, lady. [Brother Branham leaves the pulpit to pray for a child.] Do you believe? Lord Jesus, I ask You to bless this child, and may she go home and be altogether well, I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Bless you, dear. You go believing. And you go [unclear words] that God will make her well. If there is anything I could do to help the little thing... You just have faith now. God's going to make her well. Born that way... If you just keep believing, she will be all right.
Come, my little boy. You want... Bless his little heart. He's got heart trouble.
God, be merciful to this dear little boy. May Your Spirit come upon him now, and may he be made completely whole, I pray in Jesus Christ's Name.

69 God bless you, honey. You're going to get well now, aren't you? You love Jesus? God bless your little heart, honey. Very sweet little boy. Now you go and love the Lord; you're going to get all right. Don't worry, parent of the child, the baby will be all right. God accepted his little faith, and he's going...
Oh, how wonderful! The Lord Jesus is here to make every one of you whole. Do you believe it?
Dad, of course, I see, you're on a cane. Anyone can see that, that you're on a cane. But I can't make you whole, but God can make you whole. Do you believe, brother? You accept your healing? Well, just go say, "Thank You, Lord, You've healed me." Go now. God bless you.

70 Come. Poor old mother. Do you believe, mother? If I wouldn't even tell you what was wrong with you, you'd still believe anyhow, wouldn't you? Wouldn't you? Well, go eat what you want to now, if you want to. Your stomach trouble has left you. God bless you.
Have faith in God.
Come, lady. You want to get over that heart trouble? Go say, "Thank You, Lord, for healing me today."
What about you, lady? Do you believe? Tuberculous. But go believe and you'll get well. Just a minute. Something screamed from the audience. Just a minute, lady. You've had this quite a while, have you? I want to catch you just a moment. A life of sorrow. They've done all they can do, but it's retarded, yet you want to be well, don't you? The Lord Jesus bless you now. Go, and be made well. May the Lord be with you.

71 Do you believe, sir? Your trouble's up in here, like a sinus or something. Isn't that right? Say, aren't you a minister of the Gospel? I seen a pulpit come before us. Go, brother, and be made well in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Sir, laying here on a cot, you suffer with TB, too, don't you? Isn't that right? When that woman was healed a while ago, God touched your body. Won't you stand up from there, and go on home and get well. Do you believe? Well, then stand up, go out of the building. If you have faith, and believe you can go stand up, then go home and be made well. If you don't, that's your chance. You'll never go.

72 Do you believe, in this building, all of you just now? The Lord Jesus Christ is here to make well, make whole, to heal every person in Divine Presence. If you do, I want you to do something for me. I want you to look this way now, put your hands over on one another just a moment. All the sick and the needy, lay your hands on each other.
I tell you, you might not want to believe me, but there is dozens of you healed right now. I seen Him. Something happened. You are anointed with the Holy Spirit now, and the gift of God is in the building.
O God, Thou who can make evil spirits leave, have mercy upon this audience of people tonight. Send Thy Holy Spirit, rebuke every foul, unbelieving spirit. May the devil leave every one of these sick people. Come out of them, Satan. Make them well, Lord Jesus.
Stand to your feet. Raise up, accept your healing, everywhere over the building. Give God praise! Give Him honor and power!

Speak to this Rock

1 Numbers ... and I'd just like to talk to you a few minutes, have your attention. We had a nice little service this morning at Brother Roger's place, such a warm little welcome. And when we left, wife said to me, she said, "Doesn't that kind of remind you of the tabernacle when we started out?"
And I said, "Sure did."
It's just the way we started just in a little group of people like had a little--a little old church, no floor in it. We didn't have even a floor, and the old windows. I remember first year come a freeze, and here come the women walking down through there and the freeze on the floor when, we built a fire it got all warm and thawed out, mud about that deep on the ankles, and here they was walking right down through the mud, you know, pulling out. Sitting around, a little old stove in the back, one down here, but we worshipped the Lord. We had a wonderful time.

2 Many of those have done crossed over the great sea, the divide. I watch them at the end of the road, buried them. As sure as there's a God in Heaven I believe, if I will live true to Him, some day in a better land, I'll be with them again.
So that's the main thing, after all what is life? We just don't know how long it's going to last, just might be gone this afternoon, this may be our last time together. Did you know that? But, whether it is or whether it isn't we can't lose, there's no way for Christianity to lose, is there? You just can't lose no matter what you do. There's no loss in Christianity. If I live I gain, if I die I gain. Well, I say die, I can't die. As long as I've eternal life in me, I can't die. Did you know that? You can't die.

3 There's no such a thing as death to Christians. There's not one Scripture in the Bible that tells you a Christian dies. Very much contrary, we're all alive. Jesus said, "He that believeth on Me has everlasting life." Is that right? How can it have an end if it's got everlasting, see.
"He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but's passed from death to life." That's true.
So, we can't die, and we can't cease to exist. We'll always be. There was a time when you wasn't nothing or anything, but there never will be a time but what you'll be something, and somewhere. You're going to be somewhere from this, all through ceaseless ages, all eternity you'll be somewhere.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

4 So now, just think about that sometime when trials get hard, and I hit snags in life like everybody, some hard trials we have to pull hard to get through it. But, when I'm up against it I just think of this, well, what difference does it make? The Bible said, "All things work together for good to them that love Him." Is that right?
So, maybe it's for my good. So, I just go right ahead and take it anyhow. And there's nothing can bother you. Even death itself can't bother you. When death comes, though... The old apostle when they was building a scaffold out there to cut his head off on, why, he said, "Death where is thy sting, grave where is thy victory?" No sting to death no ... "Why, where is your victory, grave?"
Grave said, "I'll have you after while. I'll get you."
He said, "What can you do to me?" That's it.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

5 "I just point you over yonder, there is a Fellow that I'm in, Jesus Christ who just broke all the bands off of you and rose up again. Now, how are you going to hold me?" That's it.
Death said, "I'll make you squeak and holler when he comes."
"Show me where you can do it." The only thing I know that God did to death, He harnessed it to a buggy. The only thing he can do is pull a believer right in the presence of God. So what's he going to do, he can't hurt us. So, we haven't got nothing to worry about, have we?
If the meal barrel's empty, God promised He would supply it. Maybe He wanted it to get empty every once in a while. See? And maybe, if something else happen, the kids hasn't got enough shoes to go around, why, you have to buy a pair this Saturday and wait two Saturdays to buy another pair. I know what that is. Well, God will supply everything.

6 Brother Bosworth talked about being in a meeting one time. He said, "Well," said, "I had a meeting," said, "I paid my way to California." Said, "I kept on having meetings," said, "the other brothers would come by, Smith Wigglesworth and them." They all taking up offering for him ... went on. Said, "I didn't have any offering and going farther in debt." So then when it come time for me to go home, said they took up his offering, and that night he took up offering, said, "My," said, "it just rained, and who wouldn't have it, nobody come out." So he had to borrow money to go home on. Said, well, he thanked the Lord and went home.
Went on over to another meeting, and there it was. See? That's it. Isn't He a lovely Father? We all love Him.
Now, in Exodus where we were, or Numbers, rather where we were reading in the 20th chapter, and beginning with the 7th verse.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ... to the rock before their eyes; and it ... (I want you to notice.) it shall bring forth his ... (His is a personal pronoun, now, see.) it shall bring forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth ... water before them out of the rock: and shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

7 Now, let's bow our heads a moment.
Father, we thank Thee. We thank Thee from the depths of our heart that You're here. We thank Thee for these people. And above all things we thank Thee for sending Jesus to us. When we were poor Gentiles carried away with dumb idols, two thousand years ago, just as primitive as we could be, out living without clothes, eating everything that we could find on the ground, dead, contaminated, anything, we eat it anyhow--our fathers. And they set up idols and worshipped, and while we were sinners in that condition, God with His mercy, knowing that we were of His own creation, sent Jesus to call the Gentiles to repentance.
O God, and now we're sons and daughters of God, and the highest respected people of the earth. How that we thank Thee for this, all because we can wear the name of Christian. Oh, we love You, Father.

8 And now today as it falls my lot, and this is the people that You sent out to hear, I want to speak to them about Your love. And I pray that You'll circumcise my lips, my heart, my mind, that I will just say and think the things that's right, and speak the things that's right. Then open up their hearts, Lord, that they might receive it. And may the Holy Spirit take the things of God, now and give it right to each individual as they have need, for we ask it in Christ's name. Amen.
I suppose some of the people never got their handkerchiefs, I think it's the same ones that's here last evening, and probably they haven't picked them up. What say? Some new ones, well, while we're here, before I forget it, let's have prayer for them.
Lord, I pray that You'll heal them. Oh, we think of the Shunammite woman coming to Elisha and we ask You now, as that staff was taken, and they taken from the body of Paul handkerchiefs and aprons, may these people be healed in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

9 Such a marvelous day that we're living in friends, and I keep looking over here at Sister Beeler. If this lady isn't a perfect Sister Hoover, I thought she was Sister Hoover a dozen times. And I called her that this morning. I heard her in a meeting the other night, just a shouting I went home and I thought well, Sister Hoover, you had a won ... well, she wasn't down here. And I never seen the two people any more alike in all my life.
A lady that's in the ... well, she stays at our house up there, she's a very lovely Christian woman, and she takes care of the children and things for us, very lovely person. And she wears her hair, looks like her, acts like her in every way. And so, Mrs. Beeler with my wife there, I was just saying that they was how ... draw the attention to that. For, every time I look over there I happen to think ... sometimes I look in the audience to see if there's anybody that I know personally.

10 Somebody say, "Well, didn't you see me, Brother Branham. I was sitting right before you." And I never seen them.
I go down the street and wife say, "Well, didn't you see that person?"
I say, "No, I didn't see them."
Well, I don't know, I guess it's just because I'm dumb, but I just don't look around to see people. I just don't know if somebody pass by and if I don't raise my head, why, just forgive me, just the way I act in my ignorance. But, I try to then in the meeting, been trying to look around to see if I could see somebody that I knew.

11 Now, we're going to get to the Scripture and read just a little bit, and now talk on this just for a few minutes. Now, I like to think of ... and now, if we just gather ourselves I'll promise you by God's help, we'll try to be out of here in the next forty-five minutes if we can.
If you'll just pray with me now, and let's fasten right down into the Word, and I like the Word, don't you? And you reach down and get those old nuggets and polish them up a little bit and look at them, they're just beautiful, and the things of the Scripture. I believe all the Old Testament was a perfect type of the New Testament. It was just the shadow.
Now, if I got in that sun there, and went walking towards that wall, and looked at my shadow on there, I'd have some conception of what I looked like. Whether I was a four footed beast, or whether I had wings like a bird, or what I was.
Now, that's the shadow. And as the sun's are setting across the time now, we're living in the shadow of the coming of Jesus, don't you think so? And these things that we see happening is just a shadow of what's fixing to take place.

12 Oh, I guess I'm talking to a full audience of Holy Ghost filled people, and you know what friends, I believe we're in the shadow of one of the greatest things the world has ever received or heard of; we're just at the break.
Now, when the Angel of the Lord met me ... the first thing, you remember many of you, it's old timers here that's been in the meeting. When He first met me, He told me to take of a person's hand. Last night, or sometime, or yesterday somewhere, I met a little child. I just took hold of their hand just to see if, yeah, still the same thing, see. And then you can watch it how it will move, see it with your own eyes how it will work.

13 And then, He said, "Then if you'll be real reverent, it will come to pass that you'll know the very secrets of their heart." He said, "If they won't believe the first, they will the second."
Well, for two, or three, or four years, that's all I knew about how ... I lay my hands on the person.
Well, then it came to pass this way. Then now, there's something pushing up that tells me that we're just at the ... that the time when something else is just ready to break through, that'll be greater than anything we've ever heard yet. And I'm just so thankful for that, and you pray for me that God will let me live to see it. See, to see it coming through. And I pray that God will let all of you live to see it.

14 We know when we pass over that ... just think all the things that's mysterious now, when our eyes close and we wake with Him, it'll not be mysterious then. All the great mysteries that we don't understand, will just be there when we leave this earth. Won't that be wonderful?
My, how would there be any sting or fear to that? I've always wanted to know more about God, haven't you? That's why we're here for now, so we'll know more about God. And just think as soon as He calls our life, we're going to know Him face to face right then. Oh, my, if that isn't wonderful.
I'm so glad I'm saved, I don't know what I'd do. I could just have a spell and start shouting right now. See? Because I'm just glad I'm saved. My, the thought of being saved, got eternal life, can't die. Can't, nothing can happen to me, to hurt me. I'm just going to live forever. Oh, my!

15 Just think one of these days these stooped shoulders, I was looking the other day, combing what hair I had left. So, I looked, and I thought, "Say it's getting gray all around the sides." I looked over and I seen my wife, younger than me and she was grayer than I was. And I thought, "Well, my shoulders are stooped, look at my hands, getting to look like an old man's hands. Well, it hadn't been but few weeks ago that I was playing marbles out on the street."
I thought, "What difference does that make. My, my, one of these days these shoulders are going to straighten up, and that hair black again." I'm going to be that way forever then. Yes, sir. I can prove that by God's Scripture.

16 If I ever get a chance again, maybe over in the next little city, you'll be over there anyhow. So, you come over, I'm going to get a chance to talk on that over there. Show you in the Bible, that's the truth.
Now, we're going to talk about a journey, how that God brought His people out of Egypt into the promiseD land. A perfect type of leaving sin, coming into the Spirit land. Now, there's three stages of this journey. First, Israel in Egypt, Israel in the journey, Israel in Palestine, which is a perfect type of justification by faith, coming out; sanctification after it passed through the blood, the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It's perfect, the stages of the church. There's where the Church is staged now.

17 Now, the thing I want you to notice, they come out under Martin Luther. They were sanctified under John Wesley, filled with the Holy Ghost under Pentecost. Now we're in the promised land here, just slaying Philistines and having a wonderful time, taking over. Here's a little place up here said, "Whatsoever things you ask in My name it shall be done."
Just demons, just standing all around there, but we're going right in with the sword of God, cutting them out, taking over. It's ours. God gave it to us. Said, "There's the land, I give it to you. Go on, possess it." So, here we've been on our journey, now we've arrived.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

18 Now, a lot of people apply Canaan to being, over in the promised land, to being the type of Heaven. No, it couldn't type Heaven. It's the stages of the journey of the church. They had wars and everything over in Canaan. There's no wars in heaven, you know. So, they had dying, and murders, and everything else. So, they didn't have that in Heaven. It's the type of the Holy Spirit.
If you notice how that Israel got down there, how that Joseph, a dreamer, a seer. Now, he couldn't help because he was a seer, God just made him a seer. And they dreamed dreams and he'd interpret it, and God told him what was going to happen. And all of his brothers was jealous of him.

19 Now, watch. When he was born, he was a favored son of all the others, that was Jesus. Jesus Christ has lived in everyone of the apostles, everyone of the prophets. Jesus Christ has been in the church ever since the beginning. Do you believe that? Sure.
Look at David when he was dethroned and went up over the hill, he was the son of David, Christ was. And he went up over Jerusalem, with his own people run him off the throne. And he went up over the hill, he went up there and looked back over at Jerusalem and wept. Is that right? Because he was rejected king in the city. Is that right?
Look at Jesus, his Son, about five hundred years later, stood upon Jerusalem said, "Jerusalem, Jerusalem..." rejected He was, the son of David, "how would I've hovered you as the hen would her brood, but you would not." See? That same ... and today we see the Holy Spirit, or feel it in us weeping out the same thing, "How oft..." You see? It's Jesus Christ, all the way through just exactly.

2 Samuel 15:30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Luke 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

20 Jesus Christ was in Moses. Jesus Christ was in Joseph. Joseph was a perfect type of Christ. Look at him there as he foreshadowed, God did. And the only way I have ... I know it's typologist but how can I preach it without education, if I don't look back? And if I know just what the shadow looked like, I'll have some conception of what the real looks like.
I look back there, see Joseph, when he was born of his father and loved of him, rejected of his brethren. And the father give him a coat with many colors, seven colors. There's only seven colors, original colors. And his coat went over his little body, just exactly like the rainbow was given over Jesus after His death, burial, and resurrection when John saw Him He had a rainbow around Him to look upon as jasper and sardine stone, and that was the stones of Ephraim, or of Benjamin and Reuben. And how that the first and the last, the rainbow around Him, which meant a covenant. The covenant of the blood, Jesus gave to the church as a covenant. And the rainbow is always the sign of the covenant.

Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

Genesis 37:17 And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

Genesis 37:18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

Genesis 37:19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

Genesis 37:20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

Genesis 37:21 And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

Genesis 37:22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

Genesis 37:23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;

Genesis 37:24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

Genesis 37:25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

Genesis 37:26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

Genesis 37:27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

Genesis 37:28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

Genesis 37:29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.

Genesis 37:30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

Genesis 37:31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

Genesis 37:32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.

Genesis 37:33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

Genesis 37:34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

Revelation 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

21 And Joseph then, when he went to see his brothers he was rejected and supposingly to've been killed.
Now, that's what the Jews did when he came to his own, his own received him not. They didn't like him, why? Because he was a seer. Because he was a prophet. Because he was more spiritual than the rest of them. And they was going to kill him and one of them called out and said, "Don't kill him, he's our brother."
But, they threw him in a ditch. And then they took him ... he was taken up out of the ditch, and was taken to the greatest city in the world at that time in Egypt, and become the right-hand man to Pharaoh. Just as Jesus was rejected of his brothers, killed and put into the ditch, raised up again, and now sitting at the right hand of the greatest city in all eternities, Heaven.

Genesis 37:24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

22 And no man could come to Pharaoh, only through Joseph. And no man can come to God, only through Jesus. See, just perfect. And another thing you notice we just got to hurry, but placing the background here.
But, notice in his temptation when he was in prison, through the great gift that he had, there was two men. And one of them was a butler, and the other one the butcher, or the baker. And one of them was lost, and the other one was saved. Is that right?
And look at Jesus on the cross, there was two come to Him, and one was lost, and the other one saved, on the cross. Just perfect, and then I noticed another thing that when Joseph was rejected of his own people, he was given a bride from the Gentiles. Is that right?
Pharaoh give him a bride. Well, it's was just the same thing ... that Jesus being rejected by the Jews comes to the Gentile church and picks out a bride. And we are Mrs. Jesus this afternoon. That's right. Amen. I like that. Sure.

Genesis 40:1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.

Genesis 40:2 And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

Genesis 40:3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

Genesis 40:4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.

Genesis 40:5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.

Genesis 40:6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.

Genesis 40:7 And he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?

Genesis 40:8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

Genesis 40:9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

Genesis 40:10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

Genesis 40:11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.

Genesis 40:12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:

Genesis 40:13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

Genesis 40:14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

Genesis 40:15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.

Genesis 40:16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:

Genesis 40:17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.

Genesis 40:18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:

Genesis 40:19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.

Genesis 40:20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

Genesis 40:21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:

Genesis 40:22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

Genesis 41:44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

Genesis 41:45 And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Luke 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

Luke 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

Luke 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

23 Now, there is a lot of young women here this afternoon, a lot of nice girls. Now, I respect everyone of them, but there's one Mrs. Branham, see. That's my wife. All right. And that's the way it is, there's lots of churches, there's lot's of people that goes to church and so forth, but there's one Mrs. Jesus. That's right.
And it's made up of every denomination that's born again by the Spirit of God and come into the body of Christ, they are joint heirs with Him. They are with Him, and they're a part of Him, just a part of His body. And that's the way a wife is to a husband, is a part of him. Amen.

24 Oh, I think of that, I think of it in Genesis when God made the sun, and made the moon. Now, the moon is the wife of the sun. Now, when the sun goes away the moon reflects the light of the sun. Is that right? On the earth.
And now, when Jesus was taken away, we are the bride which is the moon, to reflect the light of the Gospel, and we can't reflect it until He shines on us. Amen.
Well, when the Gospel goes to shining on us, then we shine it out. So, send the light, Lord, is my prayer that we can reflect the light of the Son of God, in His power, and His resurrection, and His fullness, how marvelous.

25 Now, and God did all that for a purpose in there. Finally, you know how Joseph prospered. Here's another little nugget I want to drop over to you. Did you notice when Joseph died, he give those people as long as they were there, a memorial, that some day they were going out of that place.
Now, I was supposed to put my hand on his casket here not long ago over in a big museum overseas, a big lead thing that it was supposed to lay in. It was supposed to be a casket in Egypt. And so then they had it in a British museum. And the chair that they inaugurate the kings on, you'd be surprised what it looked like. You've got a better chair setting out in your back porch somewhere, made of a hickory bottom. That's right.

26 It was a little old thing.
And that stone, that piece of stone that Joseph was supposed to put his head on, why it looked like a good old piece of bedford stone out here to me, just not that big. But that's the Stone of Scone, you know that they stole here not long ago, and all those things are just ... but Joseph, he was the type that Jesus was to be, and when he died he said, "Now, don't you bury my bones, but leave them lay here."
And every Hebrew, passing through looking upon those bones, no matter his back be beat by the taskmasters, he'd look on those bones and he knowed one thing, that the prophet had said that someday those bones... "Take them with you, and God has promised that we're going out, and take my bones with you."
And they knowed that was a perfect sign that someday they was coming out from under that Egyptian bondage, because Joseph's bones was to be taken out and buried. And he was a prophet that had the Word of God, and they knowed it could not fail.

Genesis 50:25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.

27 What a consolation to every Hebrew, with a beaten back, and bleeding, walk by there and taskmasters ... look over there and see that old stone, that old place laying there, bones laying there. "You know someday--someday we're going out." Same thing Jesus did, He left an empty tomb.
And one of these days when we pass by and say to mother there, the dear old sweet woman, that's rocked us on her lap, and hugged us, and loved us. And maybe our little baby that we've had up in our arms, and rocked, and babied, there you hear the preacher say, "Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust." You see them throw them old yellow clods in on top of it, but what do we do? We close our eyes and look across Jerusalem yonder. There's an empty tomb, someday we're going out of here. That's right. We're on our way to the promised land. Yes, sir. And Joseph left the same sign like Jesus did.

28 Now, I want you to notice another thing. And before they went out, the calling out now, the children of Israel was given a sign. Moses went out and began to preached to them, and we know the story. And when Moses preached to them, done his sign one time, God met him, he didn't want to go, but He give him a sign to do, healing--healing was one of the signs. Next was to perform a miracle with the stick. And when that was done, they believed Moses and started on the march. All right, they didn't go very far until they got into some trouble.
Every time when you start to make a march for God, look out you're headed for trouble. The Devil's going to lay right along the path there to get every foot in he can get in. He'll trip you, upset you, do everything mean, he's a devil. Oh, I just love to pour the Scripture on him, don't you? Yes, sir. Say, "It's written in the Word of the Lord." That's right. God said so.

29 The Devil hates me, and I know he hates you, too. And he's my enemy but as long as God's my friend I don't have no fear of him. I just drive him right on back, take the Word of God and move him right on back out of the place that he thinks he's a holding. He hasn't got no strongholds, he's absolutely legally defeated in every place.
The Devil hasn't got one legal right at all, nowhere. He's just a devil, and a password that's all. He hasn't got no legal right to any man that'll accept the promise of Jesus Christ. He's whipped. Yes, sir. He's whipped in sickness, he's whipped in disappointments, he's whipped in everything, he's whipped in death. He can't scare me, he can't scare you. That's all he is, a big old shadow.

30 So, he just might as well get on down the street. I just seen his red light go over the hill awhile ago, didn't you? He's gone. Yes, sir. All right. Praise the Lord. I begin to feel pretty good, now. You know, you kind of get a little stiff and tired. I guess I'm getting old. But when I go to feeling His presence coming, then I forget about being old. Yes.
First time I ever heard a Pentecostal preacher preach he started preaching, he was about eighty something years old, they had to lead the old fellow out. And when that fellow got to preaching, got warmed up preaching, he let out about three hoops, and leaped up in the air and kicked his heels together. Walked off the platform and said, "My, you ain't got room here for me to preach." I thought, "Oh, brother that's what I need." That's right.
If it'll make him act like that, what would it do to... Why, if it'll make you ... he'll feel that way, he's eighty years old, I guess. Real old fellow, they had to lead him out to the platform, they didn't lead him away. So, that's the difference, the power of God.

31 You've seen a devil get a hold of a person, a maniac, that'll take five or six men to hold him. That's devil power. Well, if a devil could do that, what will God do when He takes a hold? Amen.
That's why, along here at nighttime, I see the people in cots. They just sit there. No matter what God does, they still sit there, "Well, if you'll come down and open up my mouth, and pour something down in there that'll charge me up a little bit." Open up your heart, and God will charge you up a little bit.
I seen a little women where her limbs up here... Little old Georgie Carter from Milltown, Indiana, her limbs wasn't that big around; laid there nine years, and eight months and couldn't move--couldn't even raise a sputum cup. And that girl, you can call her up now on the phone at my expense if you want to. She has been my pianist in the Milltown Baptist Church for the last eight years. Laying there, and how could she rise up, God gave me a vision said, "Go call her."

32 I never was in the Milltown in my life till that ... went over there and told her just exactly what God said, and said, "Rise up, Christ has made you whole." She didn't pay attention, she wrote ... say, "How can she rise, she hasn't been up for eight years ... or, nine years and eight months?" And five minutes from then she was out in the yard walking around blessing the leaves. Looked like a skeleton, people would faint to look at her. How was she standing? I don't know, God's power lifted her up. There she was standing. She was standing under the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Any other person that will dare to take God at His Word, will stand. How can they? It's a supernatural power that stands you, lifts you up there. Take that power off of her, she'd crumble like a pile of bones. No, the only time she's ever been in bed since then is been to go to bed at night and go to sleep. She's a piano player down there now, at the Milltown Baptist Church, where I was pastor. All right. That's what it is when God speaks, all hell moves, that's everything, can't stand in His presence.

33 All right. God has spoke to Moses said, "I've heard the groans of my people, and go down to deliver them."
When he brought them out, what a beautiful type there of the sacrifice of the lamb that night, to keep up a lamb fourteen days. Now, it must be a male lamb without blemish, perfect type of Christ. The first one from the old mother ewe. Now, Christ was in that lamb, too.
Everything in the Bible points to Christ. You can't pick a thing in the Bible but what goes to Christ. And the first mother, the first lamb from the old mother ewe. And so then, he's to be ... kept him up fourteen days. He was to be examined, wasn't a blemish on him. And he was to be killed in the evening. Did you notice it?
Christ wasn't killed in the morning. They took Him in the morning, and hung Him on the cross at nine o'clock; but it was in the evening before He died. Is that right? And watch, this lamb must to be killed by all of Israel, and the elders must come around and witness to this sacrificial lamb. Perfect type of Christ how that they all said, "Away with Him, we will take Barabbas. But we'll set loose Barabbas and take Jesus."

Exodus 3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Exodus 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

Matthew 27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Matthew 27:21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

34 All of Israel laid their hands to Jesus. He was a perfect Lamb. He was tried. Was He tried? Yes, He was tried, everything tried Him. Look, even His enemies had to testify to Him. Is that right?
Well, of course His friends would testify Mary, John, James, all of them they would testify to Him. But, look what His enemies done, look at old Judas Iscariot, his arch enemy. When he took that money back and throwed it down before the high priest, he said, "I've betrayed innocent blood." Is that right? The Roman that speared His side said, "Truly that's the Son of God."
The heavens said, "It's the Son of God." Everything witnessed to be the Son of God.

Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Mark 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

35 Look at old Pilate standing there, great emperor, that thing around his head, standing there, he was a judge. They got him out and he was all stewed up, in a bad humor anyhow to get up that time of morning to set on the judgment seat. Why sure, somebody said ... and I hear people today trying to make Pilate innocent. He was guilty. Sure he was guilty.
Read the history of his life how he plunged himself to death up there. And there's a superstition now that you go there thousands of people gather in the hole of the water where he committed suicide. That blue water comes up about the same time a day, once a year where he plunged himself to death. Yes, sir. He was guilty.

36 And every man He was on his hands, He's on your hands this afternoon. Pilate said, "I want nothing to do with this just Man."
So they said, "Give me water," and he washed his hands.
Water wouldn't cleanse his hands. No, sir. And you saying, "Well, I belong to a certain church, and this is that." That don't cleanse your hands.
If you've once seen the power of God and know the power of His resurrection, you'll never cleanse your hands with any water. There's only one thing that'll clean your hands, that's accept the blood of Jesus Christ, and It'll cleanse you. That's right.
You ever seen Him in His resurrection power, and you're hanging around with some creed, or something another like that, get out of it. That's right. And come to Jesus Christ.

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

37 And I can see Pilate when he said, "Bring me some water, I will wash my hands."
But first he was standing there. "Why," he said, "give us a sign, let me see you do a miracle. You're that miracle worker, that divine healer. Let me see You do a miracle. I've always wanted to see that." Something like that. Let's give a little drama here for a minute.
I hear somebody running. What is it? Here comes a horse, just a hard gallop. Where's it coming from? The palace. We look, a young fellow, a palace guard, jumps off of there. He runs up, he's got a letter in his hand, and he falls down before the emperor, presents the letter to him. He opens up the letter, and he begins to read it with his great angered fit, reading that letter like that. Look at him, he begins to get white, his lips turn white, his knees begin to knock together. What's the matter? All of his strength is gone from him.

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

38 Let's look over his shoulder and see what it was. His pagan wife, "Have nothing to do with this just Man for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him." Yes, sir. The heathen testifying, "Don't you have nothing to do with him."
Then he called the water, and try to wash his hands. But that lamb had to be killed and all of Israel had to give a witness to it, as a perfect type of the ... or the Antetype of the type.
When Israel went out of Egypt under the sacrifice lamb, when they killed the lamb, they was supposed to put it on the top of the door, on the post, and on the lintel. Now, none down here, up here.

Exodus 12:22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Matthew 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

39 Here some time ago, I was standing in Chicago, where they shot this famous gangster. There his blood was laying on the street. You'd watch the people where he'd bled out on the street, the people walking by and walking ... be sure they didn't step in their comrade's blood. No, no they wouldn't step in human blood. But, everyday they drink and carry on, and cuss, and everything else, walking over the blood of Jesus Christ. That's right. Yes, sir.
It's a shame, it's a disgrace the way this world treats Jesus Christ. And yet, it's a religious world that's a doing it. That's what hurts. It's the people that's supposed to be and that's what Christ said, "The antichrist would be so close it would deceive the very elect if possible."
Notice, then when the lamb was killed, the blood put on that ... look a perfect sign of the cross, see. And everyone that come under that blood was supposed to stay under it, until the orders were given to march on.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

40 I'm not much for a backsliding condition, are you? No, sir. Stay under the blood. And everyone went under the blood, and they stayed there until orders to come.
I can hear some of the young girls down there ... the girls, Israelite girls, they were getting ready. The other girls come by and say, "Say, come on out we're going to the certain thing tonight."
"No, no, can't go out."
"Why?"
"We're under the blood. We can't go out. We got to stay here, this is orders."
"Oh, that old fogy religion that your mother and dad belongs to. What has blood got to do with it?" It's got a whole lot to do with it. It made the difference between life and death. That's true.
"That old religion your mother and dad's got, get away from it." You've heard that young folks.
Let me tell you if your mother and dad has got the Holy Ghost, and a good old-fashioned saint of God, you listen to them. That's right.

41 They was under the blood. And the first thing you know along about midnight, there come a very strange feeling, unrest.
Did you ever notice amongst the people today? Oh, they can't sit still a minute. No, people just can't. See? They're too much at unrest. What is it? Why, it's perfect, the coming of the Lord.
You go out here on the street and talk to any bootlegger, or whatever he might be on the streets of the city, wherever he might be wherever, everybody tells you there's something wrong. If we had a ... they know, and you listen to my words, it isn't going to be long till there won't hardly be one smooth place left in a city in this nation. That's right. We're headed for it, brother.

42 Let me tell you I passed right by on the iron curtain line, here, recently, till they pulled the curtains down on that little old train. A big old Russian guard standing there with a gun on me like that, while we passed by, to let us not look out of a hundred miles of man-made tunnel. I went to a little Finnish officer, he said, "Isn't that awful?" He could speak English.
I said, "What is it?"
He said, "You Americans will learn pretty soon."
Underground jet planes, planes go out from under the ground like that. Under there was atomic bombs and everything just ready to fly the whole world around, in just a little bit, with atomic bombs. And they can send these saucers out across the nation, drop a bomb, and twenty minute's time explode the whole earth. If they wasn't afraid of that chain of relay, that could stop that hydrogen bomb, they'd be doing it right now. Brother, while it's time to repent, get right with God.
America ... I talked to a fellow the other day. He said, "You mean to tell me that God would ever let America be overrun?"
"Yes, sir."
"Why," said, "as a respect of our forefathers."

43 I said, "God never did say to America what He said to the Jews down there, the Israelites. But when they got out of harmony with God, God let them go." That's right. And I tell you, brother, when you sow you reap.
And here not long ago we had prohibition, and everything, tried ... and now look what we've done now. We couldn't walk the strait narrow path, as a hog goes to it's wallow, and a dog to it's vomit, so, does the people return back.
And look at it today, and we're in for it, and we're going to receive it. And I warn you in the name of Jesus Christ get in the kingdom of God, now. That's right. Don't you fool about it. You press in, because there's coming a time when you'll scream and cry to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and It'll be shut off from you.

2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

44 For I believe the meeting is at hand right now, that's going to bring the Gospel back to the Jews again in Palestine, and then the Gentiles is finished. When the Jews receive the Holy Ghost again in Palestine, you Gentiles are finished. You'll scream, cry, do what you want to, but mercy has returned to Israel again. That's right. And the Gentiles they'll trod down the walls until the Gentile dispensation will be finished, and then it's over for you.
So, you get right, now, with God. Be sure that you're right. And don't pay any attention to this little old weak dishwater stuff. You get into the strong powers of the Holy Spirit, that has changed your innermost being and made you what you wasn't yourself.
Now, how the blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing can do that. Moses gave the command then for them to stay under there, and here come the midnight hour. I can hear the unrest, and the little boy, I can see him run up to his daddy, and say, "Daddy--daddy."
"What is that great noise? What is that ... the people all seem to be stirring."
He'd say, "Son, God is going to send judgment upon this nation."
"Oh, daddy are we all going to be killed?"

45 "No, God has promised us if we were under the blood that we would not die."
That's the promise today, when I see the blood I will pass over you, under the blood. Now, I want you to notice.
Then the little boy, I imagine it's getting a little later. He'd say, "Daddy. Are you...?" It's the elder son that's going to be taken you know. "Daddy, are you sure that the blood is on the post?"
You know I think it's time for us Christian homes to check up on that. Don't you think so? Go out and look at the door and say, "Yes, son, yeah it's all there."
"Well, daddy can I rest at ease?"
"Yeah--yeah. God told us as long as we was under the blood, we was all right. So, there's nothing to worry about."
Directly, I hear something starting a great roar. The little boy goes to the window and looks. He said, "Oh, daddy look coming yonder." And coming across the nation is two big black wings a moving.
I can see it move down over a house, no blood, goes in. Directly, screaming and crying, and running into the streets, the son is dead. And out in the streets, they go to screaming and crying all of them. Directly these big black wings comes to another house. I can see her sweep down. When it leaves the house, death's, what it was, screaming and crying in the house. All right, death in the house. But then I can see it moving towards their house, our party. And we notice he said, "Daddy, here it comes."

Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

46 "Don't worry, son, don't have one worry because the blood is there, is what He required." That's what God required, and God requires the Holy Ghost, and power, and blood today. You got that? Okay, that's all that's necessary.
That big black wings begin to come I can see the little fellow say, "Daddy, here it comes, here it comes."
I can hear the aged old father say, "Just don't worry, son." Hallelujah. "Everything's all right now. Yes, sir. It's all right."
"Daddy, are you worried?"
"Certainly not, son. I believe God. Yes, sir. I believe God."
Those big black wings sweep right down. He said, "Oh, daddy look at them, they're going up."
"Sure." Amen.

47 Here it just sweeps towards that house, to take death ... takes death. Then the first thing you know, up over the house they go. "When I see the blood I will pass--I will pass over you."
Yes, sir. The death angel is on today. Let me tell you something, it's sweeping the lands this day.
Listen, these churches and things, that's having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. You find out they go in there, it's not a natural death, it's a spiritual death. A natural death is not very bad, but a spiritual death, being separated, cut off from God, sinned away their day of grace. Went over and looked out said, "Bunch of holy-rollers, don't pay any attention to that." Devil is in the pulpit, as sure as the world. Certainly.

Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

48 Brother a man has got to be born of the Spirit of God, regenerated, washed in the blood of the Lamb, with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as God's divine witness in your soul. That's true. Yes, sir.
Said, "Don't worry, son. Everything's all right. The death angel turned away."
The droughts may come, the hard times may come, you may be persecuted, made fun of and everything, but eternal life stays right there just the same. Hallelujah!
Let the neighbors say what they want to. Let the minister say what he wants to. Let the doctor say what he wants to that don't take away eternal life. It's the gift of God, that was given by the Holy Spirit. It can't go away. It's the Holy Spirit Itself living in the individual.

49 My, on their journey, I find out, just as soon as they got to the Red Sea, then God opened up the Red Sea and led them across. And when they did, you talk about an old-fashioned meeting. Moses turned back around and stretched his hand out like that, and the Red Sea closed in on the Egyptians, because God said He would do it. And those Egyptians that had tormented them and beat them, and beat their back, and made it bleed, and everything, kicked them around, and bruised them around, was laying in the Dead Sea, gone forever. Hallelujah.
I think, that any man or woman that challenges the Spirit of God, that has got an old dirty habit of something another, a walking around in these old hell dives, and drinking, and smoking, and gambling around, and your name on a church book. Shame on you, come up to the red blood of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Pass through there, there's a type of the life.

Exodus 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

Exodus 14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Exodus 14:23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

Exodus 14:24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

Exodus 14:25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

Exodus 14:26 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

Exodus 14:27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

Exodus 14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

Exodus 14:29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

50 Now, I tell you all them old taskmasters that made you do things you didn't want to do, make you lie, and take things, and cheat, and steal, and do everything you oughtn't to do, drink and carry on, and go to places you shouldn't go. You pass through the blood of Jesus Christ and you'll see everyone of them dead, back there floating in the blood. Amen. It'll separate you. Yes, it will.
Notice, I can see Moses as soon as he sees that, he began to shout, raised up his hands, and began to sing in the Spirit. And Miriam, the prophetess, got so happy till she grabbed a tambourine, and went on the bank beating a tambourine, and dancing. Brother, it's the same thing.

Exodus 15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

51 There on the bank she went beating this tambourine, a dancing, and a singing in the Spirit. And all the daughters of Israel followed her dancing, and shouting. If that ain't an old-fashioned meeting, I never told it. Yes, sir. Why? All the old torments and things that had bothered them was dead in the blood, gone. Glory. Yes, sir they had a real old time meeting.
God promised He would supply every need they had need of. They'd left everything they had. Hallelujah. I like that, sell out lock, stock, and barrel. That's right. Let it all go, burn the bridge behind you. Yes, sir. If it takes mama, papa, takes the wife, child, whatever it is, sell out. That's right, sell out.

Exodus 15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

52 Let's get going. First thing you know when they crossed over the Red Sea and all those things gone, God said, "I will supply your needs." They had done eat that little bunch of bread they had on top their head, now what was they going to do? Left alone, separated on the other side. That's what God wants you to do.
God, when He called Abraham, separated him from his people, and walked him in a strange country. Is that right? Where the people speak in a strange language. Amen. It's still God's program to separate the people. That's right. Put them out to theirselves alone with Him so they can walk alone.

53 Yes, sir. I can hear Moses say ... now the children run up and say, "What are we going to do for bread, now? We ain't got any bread."
"God will take care of that." As long as you come out, step out on the promise, God will take care of the rest of it.
"Well, how are we going to eat?"
"God will take care of that."
"Well, we're just a little bit hungry."
"You need a little fasting." Laid down that night and went to sleep, and when he got up the next morning there was manna all over the ground, bread laying everywhere. That's the way God does it, isn't it?
So, they went out picked it up and they tasted it. They said, "My, you know what that tastes like?--tastes like honey."

Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

54 Oh, my! That bread never ceased to fall as long as they was in the journey. Every night there was a new supply. You could just gather enough there to last one day, the next day you had to gather new. What a type of the Holy Ghost! In our journey, them in the natural when we come out and separate from the world, God supplies our good times. He supplies our bread. He supplies everything that we have need of. Amen.
He told them in the natural, He would do it, He will do it for us in the spiritual. And walked around that ... remember they couldn't keep the bread over now, if they kept it over it got wiggletails in it, you know, contaminated. That's what's the matter with Pentecost today. You're trying ... got wiggletails in the experience. Trying to do something they had a long time ago. What we need today is an old time Holy Ghost shaking, and a new mouth full of manna. That's right. It got contaminated.

55 Your experiences are getting old, something you had twenty years ago. What are you right now? What does it mean, now? I'm not yelling at you, but I feel good. Look. That's right. You've got to get a new baptism everyday, everyday, everyday, just keep going. No limit to it.
You try to say, "Well, now a month ago I had a wonderful experience." That testimony don't work. What about it, now? Right now, a new one right now. God rained it every night.
And I want you to notice, there was some of it in there ... now God told Moses to have Aaron to go out and gather up some of it. Now, he said, "This is going to last plumb through your journey, till you get into the Millennium over yonder." Just exactly a type of the Holy Ghost now.

Exodus 16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.

56 When the Holy Ghost come on the day of Pentecost, they had to wait ten days, that's right, for it to come, but never had to wait from then on. When the heart was ready, the Holy Ghost was there. That's right. And how long was it to be? All right, we'll find out.
Now, Moses said to Aaron, "You go out and get several big omers full of this, and you bring it in and put it behind the Holiest of holies. Now, it won't spoil back there."
And then all down through the generations... And every time that a man, when he was in the priesthood and he had a right, when he come into the priesthood, to come in behind, by the holiest place and get a mouthful of that manna, he'd taste it. "Now, what is this?"
"This is just like our fathers received when they started a journey."
"Oh! Mmm, mmm. That's good. Taste it."

Exodus 16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.

57 Every priest coming in, could go back there in these omers and get a handful of it, and get him a big mouthful. And he'd chew it. Oh, how good it was. What a privileged character he was, to eat of some the original manna.
Well, that's exactly the type of the Holy Ghost. When the church started it's journey, two thousand years ago, on our journey to the Millennium. Hallelujah! God promised He'd supply our needs.
And the first time when they come over and received the Holy Ghost, the power of God began to fall upon them, they lost all their bashfulness, all their shamefulness. They run out into the streets and begin to dance in the Spirit, and carry on. Is that right?

58 Everyone of them, the women, men, and all act like a bunch of maniacs. Hallelujah! Tell me that's not the Scripture, it sure is, God's Word. And they got out there, and staggered like a drunk man. Did you ever see a drunk man? He'd bump and say, "Hello, buddy. Well, everything's all right. Sure, that's all right. Sure."
Well, that's the way a man is when he's drunk on the Spirit. Hallelujah! What God says is truth to him. He don't care how far away it looks, it's the truth to him. Yes, sir.
Then on the day of Pentecost, when they was all staggering around, the Manna was falling down out of Heaven, our Manna. All right, you say, "How long is this going to last, brethren?"
Peter said, "It's for you, and for your children, and to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call, shall have it." Glory to God!

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

59 Brother, every man or woman that comes into this divine Holy Ghost priesthood, has a right to get a genuine heart full of the original baptism of the Holy Ghost, that fell on the day of Pentecost. The same signs, the same power, the same demonstration, same feeling, same actions. Glory! Not something that looks like it, the original.
The Lord said, "I'm going to store up a whole lot of this, because there's going to be many generations. For, every time one comes in, I'm going to give him a great big heart full of it." Amen.
I'm so glad I can say I'm one of them. Yes, sir. Look, Peter just lost all his dignity and everything, jumped upon a soapbox, and begin to preach. My, a soapbox preacher. Yes, sir. What was it? He had the Holy Ghost. He was eating of that godly manna. Is that right?

60 And today we have the same thing. We're in the journey, in the spiritual, like they was journey, in the natural. And it fell for them every time they wanted it, it fell. It falls for us the same way. God has got a whole big Heaven full of it. That's right. It's for you and to your children, them in Owensboro, Kentucky, and as many as the Lord our God shall call. It's for everyone of them. Many as wants it. God's got it for you.
Here they are on their journey ... I want you to see another thing. He said, "It tastes like honey." Is that right?
Honey. The poet said... I believe David said, "It tastes like honey in the rock." Did you ever hear him say, "Taste and see the Lord is good."? It tastes like honey in the rock." Did you ever taste it?
Oh, I've seen old baptized Holy Ghost things, just sitting so paralyzed with the Power of God, they couldn't move, they go, "Mmmm, mmmm." Just God blessing their souls, till they couldn't do nothing else. Licking their lips. Amen.

Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Psalm 81:16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

61 Tastes like honey in the rock. You think that's silly, but that's the God's truth out of His Bible. Right, tastes like honey in the rock.
David being a shepherd, he had a experience. You know, the old shepherds they use to carry a scrip bag on their side. And every time they'd carry in there, they was herding their sheep, and one of their sheep would get sick, they had some honey in that scrip bag. So, they take this honey, and they'd go out to a great big limestone rock, and they'd take this honey and they'd smear it all over the limestone rock, and then call the sick sheep up. And that sick sheep would smell that honey, he'd go licking the honey, and what he done, it wasn't the honey that was helping him so much, he liked the honey. But, while licking the honey, he was licking the lime off of this rock and it healed the sick sheep.

62 Now, look I got a whole scrip bag full of it, and I'm going to put it on Christ Jesus, and you sick sheep start licking right now. And you'll find out that you'll get well, as sure as the world. Right. Hallelujah! Right, you'll get ... Yes, sir. I ain't going to put it on the Methodist church, I ain't going to put it on the Baptist church, I ain't going to put it on the Pentecostal church, I'm putting it on where it belongs, Jesus Christ. Don't say, "I'm a Baptist," you're licking on the Baptist church. Don't say, "I'm Pentecost," you're licking on that church. But, lick on Christ, He is the Rock of Ages. There's where the honey belongs, on Christ. Amen.

63 Nothing against Pentecost, Baptist, Methodist, not a thing, but I'm talking about Christ. That's where the honey belongs. And a real preacher will lay it right on Christ, and let the sick sheep go to licking. "Don't you see I've got a gift of healing, glory to God, I put hocus-pocus on you," that's nonsense. But, when you go to tell them that Christ died for you, Christ healed you back yonder, you're laying the honey where it belongs. I'll guarantee the sheep will get well, that'll lick, too. Amen.
You go to rejoicing and being happy in the blessing, you're just licking honey then. But, while you're doing that you're going to get some of the limestone, too, just as sure as the world. Yes, sir. He will heal you. Yes, indeed. Oh, they say "They're excited," they're getting well anyhow. Amen.
Say, I feel good, fifty miles of elbow room right now.

64 Notice. Yes, sir. There's another thing about, you know, that licking the honey in the rock. A rock has got something to do with it, a rock has healing power somehow. They even make medicine out of it. Yes, sir.
Long time ago when a man used to get mad dog bit, back when we were boys. You know what they'd do, they'd send them away. They had a stone, a mad stone. And they'd take the person and stick them to this stone, and if they stuck to the stone they got well, if they didn't stick, they died.
Well, brother I'm telling you the worse mad dog I know of is the Devil. He has bit everybody he can bite. But, I know where there's a stone. Hallelujah! That stone is, Christ Jesus, hold on to Him. Grab Him with both arms, the Rock of Ages, and say, "Cleft for me. Let me hide myself in thee."
Hold to God's unchanging hand, when everything else is failing. Just stand there and hold. If you'll stick to it, it'll bring you out. Just hold on to it.

65 Here not long ago I was up in the mountains, I just love hunting, you know that. That's my second nature, I'm a real Kentuckian, I got a squirrel rifle, see and I just like to go hunting I was way up in the mountains and I was watching up there, looking through my binoculars. Right at the time, I wasn't hunting at the time, I was herding cattle. And I've worked cattle since I was a boy, so I go up there in the roundups and things, and I was watching down through a sight.
I seen an old mother eagle and she had a big nest up in the rock. It was along in the months, you know, after the little fellows had hatched out. And they were all walking around on this nest, and I spied that nest. The old mother was going to take them out of the nest, and they were walking around there you know, poor little old fellows. And she throwed her wings down like that and she [Brother Branham makes a squawking noise.] made a squawk, and all them little eagles reached over, and took their little mouth, and set a hold of them wings, got their little feet and held onto her wings.

66 She lifted them up, up out of the nest, down through the crevice she went, down into the valley. And they had never been out of that old pukey nest before, excuse the expression, and got down there. In the nest, it's the stinkingest place you ever seen around an eagle's nest. And then she let them down. And them poor little fellows got out, and they got on this green grass, how good that felt to them little feet. They were just a prancing around, and getting a mouthful of grass, and chirping.
And the old mother flew back up, way back up to the top of the highest peak she could, she ruffled her big feathers, and me setting up there, my horse hitched, watching this take place. I seen this old mother up there watching them little eagles.
I stood there, I started crying, I said, "Glory to God!" I thought. "What's the matter with me?"
I looked around, and I thought, "Yes, one time the little church was in an old pukey nest, and she had to do this, that, and the other. Join the church and do this and the other things. But, one day the great Master of life, who with His lifting power of the Holy Ghost lifted her up, brought her out of that thing, set her down, like an old..."

67 If them little eagles wasn't having an old holy-roller meeting, I don't know what. They were just as carefree as they could be, just a jumping around. Just like an old-fashion Holy Ghost meeting. They were grabbing a little bunch here, run one over to one another, "Chirp chirp chirp," and run around like that. Just like a Holy Ghost meeting, just as carefree as you could be. Amen. Yes, sir.
I like to watch God like that, and why was they so carefree? Watch them little fellows, that's the first time they was ever in this place. What makes them so carefree? But, you watch one, he'd cock his little head up, look sitting up yonder there sat mammy. Yes, sir.

68 Brother, she was watching over them. And I thought, "Yes, our great Master, after bringing us out of the pukey nest of the world, has climbed the ramparts of glory, sitting at the right hand of the Majesty, watching down on us." Hallelujah!
You let a coyote start towards one of the little eagles, and watch what a flogging he'll ever get. Yes, sir.
I thought, "Let the Devil come, if he wants to get a flogging. Let's be free." Amen, just have a glorious time. All right.
She watched there for a little while. After awhile, there came a storm, started back in there, I heard of roar of a thunder. That old mother, (I was watching her through my glasses) she turned her head and kept looking. And she smelt that storm coming, and the little fellows heard that. Why, they never heard anything like that. Just like the church today, we wonder what all this racket is about. But, the first thing they done they huddled together. Amen.

69 That's what we need today, huddle together. I don't care if you are this, that, or the other, let's get together as Christian believers. Don't separate yourselves, let's get together.
And the first thing you know that old mother looked, when she knowed she's about timed right, she let out a scream, and when she did those little eagles turned towards her. She flew down into that valley like that, throwed out her great big wings. Those little fellows jumped up on that same wing. Hallelujah. I thought, "Yes, sir. That's right." Jumped up on the same wing, took their little bill, and caught hold of a feather, took their little claws, and hooked into the other feather. Up she lifted them, up, up, up, up piercing that storm, running right into the cleft of the rock down yonder, and hid those little fellows.

70 I thought, "Glory to God, the same Holy Ghost that lifted me out of the world and the things of the world, someday I'll catch a hold of that yonder. In the hour of my death, and Christ will lift me up, up, up, up, up high and above this mortal life into them realms yonder in safety. Let the storms rage, what do I care as long as He's watching over me." Just be as carefree as I can be, no condemnation.
One time I was fishing up in Connecticut, or New Hampshire, had a little old tent build out there, Burt Caul and I. He'd gone back to town, I was in this little old tent, we was fishing. And you know I'm ... I like pancakes and molasses. You like that? I just love it for breakfast, and I take some with me. I can't make them very good, not like my wife and them, but I do the best I can. Some of the stuff already mixed up, so I just love to get it. So, I took me a great big bucket of molasses, and I'm truly a Baptist, I don't sprinkle them, I baptize them. I really put them under. So, I like to pour it all over them.

71 One morning when I was gone, out down along the creek, I come back, and a lot of black bear in that country, and one of those little old bears had got into my tent, an old mother and two cubs it was, and she had tore that tent all to pieces. It's not what they eat, it's just what they destroyed. And everything was gone just mashed up and laying around. I thought, "Well, what do you know!"
And, old mother saw me coming up, and she will scratch, you know. So, I looked at her, and I had an ax in my hand. Rifle was laying in the tent, or a little old gun was laying in the tent. They had it tore it to pieces. So, the old mother she cooed to her cubs, and she run off. One of them followed her, and the other wouldn't follow her. He just sat there, he had his little back on, just like that. And I thought what's he so game about, none of the rest of them would follow him. So, she cooed again, he didn't come.
So, I started walking up a little closer, and I wondered what made the little fellow so brave. He was doing something. He was sitting there, you know. I thought, "Well, what's the matter with him?"

72 You know, I was afraid to get too close, afraid that old mother would come after me. So, I didn't want to have to kill her, because it'd leave them orphans in the woods. So, I slipped around like this to look at that little fellow. And I said, "Get out of there!"
And he looked around at me, and when he did, he had got my bucket of molasses, and had the lid off of it. He had that bucket setting in his arms like this, his little old paw in there, and he would just get a paw full of it, he just lick ... he was molasses from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. Boy, his little old eyes was all stuck up, full of molasses, he couldn't even open them look like that. He just looked around at me like that, reached down and started stocking again like that. And I looked at him, and I laughed till my sides hurt. And after a while when he got enough of it, he set it down and went walking off.

73 I thought, "If that ain't an old-fashioned Holy Ghost meeting, when we get the bucket open our hands in, plumb to our elbows, just lick molasses, till who wouldn't have it, let it go. Don't make any difference what the world says. It's what we're tasting. Amen. Taste and see the Lord is good." That's right.
And you know the funny thing about it, after he got through with all these molasses and that ... the other one was scared to come to him. Then when he got over there the whole bunch ... the other two went to licking him. Amen. That's the way it goes, isn't it? They went to licking the other fellow, the one that got the molasses, they went to licking him. "Just taste and see, the Lord is good," said David.
Oh, my! I think on their journey there as he went through the wilderness. Now God said He would supply every need.
Here I am done over passed due. Look, just a minute and we'll close.

Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

74 But watch, on their journey they'd gone down through there. Well, God said, "I will supply your needs."
Isn't it strange, you know, I want you to notice this. That the first place they went was right to the wilderness of sin. Isn't it strange that God's path leads that way? Right down to the Red Sea where they was cut off, right out through the wilderness of sin, right down into temptation, just right around everywhere. Is that right?
But, you know that's the way God leads us, isn't it? Some through the waters, some through the floods, some through the trials, but all through the blood. Is that right? Through every brier patch, and temptation His grace has brought me safe thus far, grace shall take me on. That's right.
Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come. It's grace that brought me safe this far, it's grace that'll take me on. I just believe Him, I don't know why. What tomorrow holds, I don't know. But, I know who holds tomorrow. That's the main thing.

75 So, on the road they were going and the first thing you know they got down there. Now, after they had seen all the miracles of God, then they began to murmur.
Isn't that just like the church today? After they done seen the Red Sea open, done had a great big Holy Ghost meeting and everything, then the people began to complain saying, "Well, where are we going to get some water to drink? Our souls are thirsty for water."
Not knowing that the very God that brought them through the Red Sea could supply them water. But, they murmured. That's just the way the church is today. Isn't that right, brethren?
We murmur about this, and murmur about that. "Well, Miss Jones said if I kept going to that old holy roller church that I was going to..." Oh, my. "Well, or Doctor Jones was over to see me, too, and he told me it was just mental telepathy and them people's only excited."
There you go, and seeing the miracles of God, then do like that, you deserve to journey around the wilderness a while.

76 First thing you know, look, they had left the great boasting physicians of Egypt, to be with the great physician. Is that right? And were still complaining. They left people that said the signs of miracles was past years ago. There wasn't no such a thing as miracles, to be with people who believed all things, and believed signs ... they had a pillar of fire above them. Is that right?
They left the Egyptians, they didn't have nothing like that. They didn't have any miracles and signs among them, though they were a great aristocratic nation. But, they had left them to journey here, and they'd seen these signs and taken their place with the people, and yet complaining. If that isn't Christianity today, I don't know what. Always complaining, "Well, if I could do this." There you are... [Gap in the audio].

77 And the next thing you know, look at all these things that they had done. They left their muddy waters of Egypt to drink water here from the rock, that was so pure and clean. They had left the garlic pots down there of Egypt to eat Angel's food, and was still complaining. Ain't that just like the church today? So, their carnal condition drove them out into the desert.
And I'm just afraid that's where our Pentecostal church has gone, out into the desert because murmuring and complaining, and won't accept the real true living God, and go on. I mean the church in whole, I'm not talking about you people, if you're here why, this is good for you. This is better vitamins than you get at the drugstore. All right. Yes, sir. Straighten up, come on, let's go the church is moving on.

78 Then the first thing you know, they got down into the desert and what taken place then. There they was out there murmuring around, and God cut off the water supply. That's the reason today the church is getting so dry and everything, murmuring, complaining, and fussing, and stewing.
And one saying, "Oh, bless, God I belong to the Assemblies, that's the biggest."
And the other one say, "Well, I'm Oneness, and I tell you, I got it." And that's just the reason your supply is cut off. That's it exactly. Sure it is.
If you get together, and I don't care whether he belongs here, or where he belongs to that, if he's a Christian he's my brother. Hallelujah. That's all there is to it, and I will just shout, and shake his hands and move on. What do I care? If he says he's a Christian, he's acting like a Christian, his fruits proves he's a Christian, I'm associating with him and going on. If this fellow isn't, I will take him by the arm and say, "Come on, brother, straighten up your life and let's go anyhow."
Say, "Well, I'm a Baptist." I don't care what you are, let's go anyhow. Let's keep on moving, we're on the road. Hallelujah. Yes, sir.

79 Now, I want you to watch again just a minute. Then when the water supply got cut off, God told Moses to go out and smite the rock, and he smote the rock. Now, I want you to notice that that cane that he had in his hand, that stick: that wasn't Moses' stick, that was God's judgment rod.
Look, when he took that rod, he pushed that rod over Egypt and flies come up. He pushed it over the water, it turned into blood. He hung it over the water, frogs come up, over the land, lice come. It was God's judgment rod. It was in Moses' hand, the stick was in his hand, but it was God's judgment. See what I mean? It was just given to Moses. Gifts and things are given to men for God's glory.

Exodus 8:5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.

Exodus 8:6 And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

Exodus 8:17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Exodus 8:24 And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Numbers 20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

80 And now, watch just a minute. And now watch this, here's a beautiful story, just comes to my mind. When Moses took that rock, or that rod and smote the rock, and that Rock was Christ Jesus. Is that right? The Rock was Christ. And they put a cleft in the side of the rock. When Israel got hungry, they went there one day, and bees had built a hive in there, and they had a whole big bunch of honey hanging in the rock. Is that right?
That's where we go today when we want something to eat, we go to the Rock. Is that right? And they want something to drink, when they wanted water, they went to the rock. God told Moses then, when the water supplies ... said, "Go out and speak to the rock, and the rock shall bring forth His water. The rock shall bring forth His water, and thou shall water the congregation." A perfect type, a dying people perishing out in the desert no hope at all, and the smitten rock was God's judgments upon the rock, smote the rock and brought forth water.

Numbers 20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

81 John 3:16 is a perfect type of this church today, for us. That's the smitten Rock, Christ, God's judgments. We being worthy of death, worthy of all this condemnation, and the judgments of God smote the Rock, Christ, and out of Him poured out everlasting water, that a perishing people might not perish, but would have everlasting life, coming from the inexhaustible fountain of life, which is Jesus Christ, who's God's judgment, smote the innocent one, that we guilty people might drink, and be living. Hallelujah. Oh, how beautiful.
"Speak to the rock," he said, "it'll bring forth it's water." And they went everywhere, they couldn't find water nowhere. And God told them, "Go speak to the rock."
Ridiculous, the carnal mind would have said, "Why, that's the driest place in the desert."

82 The rock was the driest-looking place. And yet, where they'd seined through every old, little old place, where there ought to be water, no water. Went to this oasis, no water. Went down here where the spring was, no water. And then God tells them to do the ridiculous, "Go speak to the driest thing there is, an old rock sitting up there on a hill. Go speak to that, it'll bring forth water."
"Well, where's the water at? Well, if there was any water, it would be down here in the valley not up there on the hill, not in that dry rock."
But, that's where it is today. When the doctor has done everything he can do for you, you've seined through every doctor's office, every hospital. Yet, God says, "Speak to the rock."

83 They say, "What am I to do, go out where a bunch of holy-rollers is? Well, that's the worst church in the world." But, that's where God said. Amen. Isn't it strange how God takes the ridiculous things, and makes them real. Hallelujah.
Why he said, "If God would've give a gift, it would come through some great dignified church."
That's what they thought in the beginning. But, look where He brought it, through a manger. Is that right? He always brings it down to the humble, and lowly people. God's a God of mercy. Yes, sir. The driest place in the desert, that's where they had to go get a drink.
You say, "If the doctor can't do nothing for me, how in the world is anything else going to do?" Well, just speak to the Rock and find out.

84 Moses went out there and spoke to the Rock. And when he spoke to the Rock, the waters begin to flow and the people begin to drink. Now, are you on speaking terms with the Rock today? Listen, brother, I believe it's time that we spoke to the Rock. Don't you believe so?
I seen a woman, one time in the Bible had a blood issue. The doctors had done everything. She had mortgaged her home, sold everything she had. And none of the doctors could do her any good. And she spoke to the Rock. And the Rock brought forth water. Is that right? Healing waters.

Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

Mark 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

Luke 8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

85 There was an old man down there in the Bible, by the name of blind Bartimaeus. He had been blind for years, I can see him standing at the gate. Oh, my, the time is here now to speak. I believe the time is here for us to speak, too. Don't you think so? I believe the time that the church should move upward, it's going back. I believe the time that the signs of Mark 16 ought to be following the believer. Don't you believe so?
The Bible said in the last days, that times would come when man would be high-minded, lovers of pleasure, more than lovers of God. We got it. The football stadiums are packed this afternoon, and the church of God sits empty; fulfill the Scriptures, exactly. Yes, sir. We're in the wilderness.

Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

86 Now notice, I want you to notice Moses, told him to go out there and speak and they would have water. I noticed the man by the name of blind Bartimaeus, I was speaking of a moment ago, I see him come to the Rock. The people said, "Now, looky here what's all this trouble? What's this noise?"
You know usually where Jesus is there's a lot of noise. Isn't that strange? They come into the city one day, and they were all making a bunch of noise and them great big old mournful looking priest said, "Why, they give me chills, and fevers." Said, "Make them hold their peace."
He said, "If they hold their peace the rocks will immediately cry out."

Luke 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

Luke 18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

Luke 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

87 Life was coming in. Yes, and there they was standing out there in all this great mournful condition. And little old Bartimaeus, he was standing out there, he was blind and he didn't know what to do. And directly he heard said, "Who is that?"
Some of them said, "Jesus of Nazareth passes by."
Oh, some of them said ... he said, "Oh, Jesus, thou Son of David have mercy on me--have mercy on me." He was speaking at the Rock.
The Rock rolling right on down the street, and people screaming and hollering, and everything. They said, "Now, don't trouble the Master, I guess He has enough to do. So, there's no need of you trying to trouble Him, just keep your peace."

Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

Mark 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Mark 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Luke 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

Luke 18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

Luke 18:37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

Luke 18:38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Luke 18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

88 But, that didn't stop him. He wanted to speak with the Rock. And he screamed that much louder, "Oh, Jesus, thou son of David have mercy on me--have mercy on me." And he's blind. "Have mercy on me."
The first thing you know His little ears caught the sound. He turned around, the Rock had heard. Said, "Bring him here."
Watch. He had his garments on, now, it was cold sitting there, shivering in the cold. He didn't watch where he laid his garments down, he just throwed it to one side. What? He has got contact with the Rock. That was it. He got contact with the Rock. Oh, my. He knowed that was the Rock that was in the wilderness. Do you believe it?
I believe it's here today, don't you? The Holy Spirit promised to come back, the same Rock that was in the wilderness. It wasn't that stone, it was the Spirit in that stone.
That's the same thing that's here with us today. And he spoke to the Rock, and Jesus come over and healed him.

Mark 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Mark 10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

Mark 10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

Luke 18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Luke 18:40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

89 I read a little story on Bartimaeus. He'd been blind for years, and he'd had a little girl, they said about ten, twelve years old, and she had never seen ... he'd never seen her. And one night, she took sick. So, Bartimaeus ... in them days instead of a dog leading them, like the blind men have today, they had a lamb to lead them.
Now, listen closely. And the lamb would lead him up to the gate, and he'd sit there with a little cup. And he had two little turtledoves, and those little turtledoves would turn over and do enchantments, like that, and it would interest the tourists. They would stop and watch these little doves, while they'd be tumbling. He had a stick he'd make them tumble with. And then when he did, why they'd throw him nickels and things in his cup, or little pieces if money. And he would ... that's how he made his living for his wife and little girl.
One night his little girl took sick, and so he went out and he prayed. The doctor had said he could do nothing for her. And so he went out and he prayed. He said, "God, I don't want to lose her. I've never seen her in my life. I don't want to lose her, and I ain't got nothing to give you. I'm a poor blind beggar. But, if You'll just ... if You'll heal my baby, I'll promise You tomorrow I'll take my two little turtledoves up and I will offer them up for a sacrifice to You. That's all I got."

90 Next morning the little girl was well. He took the turtledoves up and offered them up. A week later his wife took sick. There was nothing could be done for her. Isn't it strange how tragedies hits families of believers, but all for good. So, they went up and he went out to pray that night.
He said, "Lord, I haven't even got my doves now. My begging is getting poorly, because there's nothing to attract attention. I haven't got nothing in the world to offer You, but my lamb. But, if You'll just let my poor dear wife get well, I'll give You my lamb."
And he went back in the house, feeling his way around. The next morning, his wife was well. So, it was a beautiful morning, he started up the street, the lamb leading him. And the high priest stood up on the banister of the balcony of the temple.
He said, "Where goest thou blind Bartimaeus?"
He said, "Oh, high priest, I am going into the sacrifice room. I promised God if He would heal my wife last night, I'd give Him my lamb."

91 "Oh," he said, "blind Bartimaeus, you can't give that lamb." Said, "I'll give you a sacrifice, or money to buy you a lamb up at the stalls," where Jesus beat them out later. He said, "I'll give you money to buy a lamb."
He said, "Oh, high priest," he said, "God's blessings be upon you." But, he said, "I never promised God a lamb, I promised Him this lamb." That's right. That's where it is.
What about you? You want the world to be Christianized, but you're afraid of the Holy Spirit, see. What about you? All right.
He said, "Blind Bartimaeus, you cannot give that lamb. That lamb is your eyes. You ain't got no eyes, but that lamb, blind Bartimaeus. And you've trained that lamb to lead you." Said, "That lamb is your eyes, it pulls you around. You ain't got no eyes but that."

92 He raised his old feeble hands and said, "Oh, high priest, God will provide a lamb for blind Bartimaeus eyes." He offered the sacrifice.
One cold November day, he's sitting there and chilling in the wind. He heard a noise. What was it? God had provided a Lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes. That's right. God has got that same Lamb provided this afternoon for every person sitting here. Do you believe that?
He's got a Lamb provided for everyone of you. And He's here to give it to you, He will give you the power of His blessing. I know He's here. I know His Spirit is here. And He will do just exactly what we've ask Him to do. Do you believe it?
We're in our journey, God has His lamb provided. The rock is already smitten, the waters are flowing freely. Let's drink from it now, will you, all that has a need of Christ Jesus. Let's bow our heads just a minute.

93 Strange as it seems, with your head bowed, the Angel of the Lord is here at the platform. I know that He's wanting to bless you. Strange how He jerked me out of that, wasn't it? I never had anything like this to happen. Now, here's that light, standing right in the room, right now. God of Heaven be merciful.
See it hanging over a little girl just now back here. Over on my left-hand side, she's got--she's got a kidney trouble. Her mother is sitting next to her with a liver trouble. The little boy sitting there, he has got low blood pressure.
Here He comes up here to this row right here in front of me. Hanging right over here, it has got ... there's something wrong with that lady sitting there. She's got something wrong with her head, she's having head trouble.
The one sitting next to you has the same thing, and the lady right next to you here. And the man sitting there also has the same thing, three of you. And that's the truth, isn't it? There you are, all three of you with your hands up, you can go home and get well now. It leaves you, and I see it light all around you.

94 Oh, how glorious and marvelous the Holy Spirit ... lay your hand on that little girl back there, mother, with that kidney trouble. And the little lad there with that low blood pressure, lay your hand on him, Pop. Mother, you're going to get well, too.
I want to see what takes place. Be reverent, if you will just a minute. Yes, sir. It's turning light around ... Oh, isn't it wonderful.
The Angel of God, that led the children of Israel, that same pillar of fire, is moving right around over this bunch of people. Oh friends, what a wonderful time. The lamb that led blind Bartimaeus, and here we are sitting here, not even in a healing meeting. And here He is, dropped right down on me. How He loved you, He wants you to know that He's here. He loves you everyone. Won't you receive Him?

95 Our Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for Your mercy. O God may the people just realize they're in the ... the same Angel that led them in the natural is leading us today in the spiritual. Here's the pillar of fire, even the scientific world has took His picture. It's with us. We love Him, and we know He's here. We see Him with infallible moves go out over the audience and perform miracles, and signs, while the people sitting right here in the audience, and being healed right now.
Oh, Master of life, touch everyone. Give them of Thy blessings. Grant it, Lord. May everyone be healed, and blessed. May the sinners be saved. The backsliders come back. Quit journeying out there in a path to theirself, may they come on over here and get out of Egypt. Cross through the Red Sea today, and burn every path behind them. Grant it, Lord. Have mercy now, and heal these people that's sitting here, in the name of Thy Son, Jesus, we ask it.
And while you have your heads bowed, I want each one of you just to stay shut in with God just a little bit. And just believe now that God is here to make you well.
There it looks like again. Here He stands over here to my right up towards the side of the balcony, standing over a little mother with back trouble. God bless you, mother.

96 It comes and stands over a lady, that's kind of heavy-set. She's got something in her side. I see her always holding her side. She has got trouble in her side. God bless you, lady. Just believe, you'll be made well.
Oh, I tell you friends, it looks like that you could just believe anything right now, just holy hush and quietness. May the Lord bless you.
Brother Bosworth, you come and lead us in a word of prayer, too, if you will. I want to stand here with you, while you're praying. Lead the audience here in prayer again.
Here's a good godly man, I want you to stand here near, Brother Bosworth. I can see something again.
Brother Bosworth, the very God that's led us and been with us, and blessed us, here He is moving around over this little handful of people. [Brother Bosworth says, "Amen."]

97 When thousands of people out in the world, and here He is, His great Being, moving right here in this audience right now, healing the people, making them well. Now, His blessings is here. His Spirit is on us. We know that He's here.
And I know you, Brother Bosworth, being a good godly man. You're God's servant. You were preaching this message before I was born, brother. I want you, if you'll lead the congregation in prayer too, while I dismiss myself, if you will. And you pray, if you will, for the congregation.

Speak to this Rock (1960-06-12) (William M. Branham Sermons) somebody

Speak to this Rock

1 Lord bless you. You may be seated. I am sorry that we don't have another couple of weeks of this. I want to say that this has been one of the finest revivals, or meetings, that I have ever had. It ranks a red letter to me, this meeting. I've never had a time in my life that I ever had any more liberty and felt any more freer just to preach the very conviction of my heart than what I have in this meeting, and it's been a wonderful time. We had a wonderful time at the businessmen's fellowship, and also a wonderful time down at Brother Sullivan's church this morning. And we've met so many fine people, and we sure appreciate all this. And we want to say, if there happens to be some of the people that's present and, if not, you who tend to such, we want to thank the people that let us have this grounds, this Chatauqua. We appreciate that, my friends, and may it long stand for a purpose to serve the Lord. We appreciate it with all of our hearts.

2 I want to thank Brother Sullivan, all the cooperating pastors, all you dear people for all that you have done for me. For the love offering and all that ... they said they taken up one a while ago. Brother DuPlessis just told me. And I greet you all, and thank you for myself, my wife, my son, Brother David DuPlessis, Brother Sullivan, Gene, Leo, all the whole staff. We certainly thank you very much.
We cordially invite you, that if any time that you have any troubles or anything that we could help you, why, the night never gets too dark nor the rain never falls too hard, you could call us. I used to say I could come to you; but there's so many now, I couldn't do it because it runs into the, well, I guess, millions. Not only just like here, but around the whole world, you see. And it makes it too hard. I can't say that. I'd love to do it, but I can't say it with all my heart, because I wouldn't be able to do it.

3 But if you have a prayer request, just mail it to me any time, just "William Branham, Jeffersonville, Indiana." You want Post Office 325, but you don't have to have that; it'll come anyhow. And we'll be glad to minister to you, send you prayer cloths, any help, anything that we can, absolutely free. Nothing, there's no charges to nothing.
We got books. They sell them, and they belong to someone else. Brother Lindsay owns one of them, and Brother Julius Stadsklev owns the other. And we buy them at forty cents less on the book. Then we have to pay for bringing them, pay for selling them, stand the loss. And you see what we are, it's always in the red, the books are. Every time we take an inventory on that, we're always behind,

4 because I've told the boys and all, if they find any person that wants a book and they haven't got the money to pay for it, take it anyhow, take the book anyhow. And I seen the first night when we started on books a little old mother standing back there fumbling in a pocketbook trying to get out sixty cents. She didn't have but forty. I watched the lady that was selling the books. Said, "Well, they are sixty cents." I walked right around and got her two or three and give them to her, see. So I know, what if that was my mother?

5 And another thing, the books are not for commercial; they're to try to help somebody.
The boys sells the tapes down there. And here some time ago I checked up on the boys, Gene and Leo. Gene's my tape boy, Leo is my field secretary, and they have records and tapes. And I checked those boys myself to see what price they was selling those tapes for, because I bought a tape from an evangelist that cost me around six dollars. Then they're getting two dollars and something for them. So I seen what they paid for them and they're ... just barely a little margin's all they make. And they get ... I told them to get the best tape they could get, and they use it on Scotch tape. They have those tapes, any message or anything.

6 And now sometimes...
I want to make this clear. Now every man has his own idea, you have your own doctrine. When I'm out here in this interdenominational, I try to hold it to the great fundamental evangelical doctrines, because of other ministering brethren. And I want the ministering brothers to know this. Sometimes... In my own church I preach my own convictions about things, and in there, there's many people takes the tapes and sometimes they get out. Now, I would not want to push anything that I believe over on anybody, just a little something that I had in my own mind and thought it was this way. And if I didn't teach it the way I thought it, I'd be a hypocrite. So I just leave that part alone, go preach what I know that the rest of them agrees with, you see, and go on.

7 But now if you happen to get ahold of ... some of your members, brother, get ahold of a tape that come from my church upon something that you might not agree with me, please don't fall out with me about it. I'm your brother. I love you, and I don't mean for them to get out, but you can't help it when there's twenty or thirty taking tapes and everything, see. And so we try to curb it the very best we can. The church took it upon themselves, the Foundation, to try to hold the boys alone when they're taking tapes on my meetings. And so I am here to cooperate to make it one big body of Jesus Christ, that's all. And after all the great fundamental part of it is repentance and baptism and faith towards God, salvation, divine healing. And I think all of us can agree upon that, see, upon those things.

8 Now the approach to it sometimes, I might have a little different angle, but I think like this: One time I was at my work at Jeffersonville. I was working for the public service company, and there was a Mr. Bohannan, the superintendent, was the past master Mason. I was a Baptist preacher. Reverend Arnie Clagg from the Maple Street Methodist Church come in, and then in come Father Halpen, the Catholic priest. Well, can I quote what he said? All right. He said, "We should start a crap game while we're all here." Catholic priest said that.

9 And so then he done something, though, that started something rolling in my heart. He said on there ... he drawed three lines. He said, "Here's the Pennsylvania going down, Billy." That was me. Said, "We'll go down on that line. And here's another one, the Southern." Said "Mr. Clagg here will go down on that line. Here's another one over here." Said, "Just stay on your line, if as long as they're pointing towards heaven." I thought that was pretty good for a priest. And he said, "Stay on your line." And that's right. As long as you're converted and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, just keep moving on with all your heart and He'll lead you in the light. I believe that with all that's in me.

10 All that's been so nice, the ladies with the music, the special singing, everything's been so fine. Then, I guess they can't hear me, but the police that's been helping us out there getting in and out, parking the cars. They certainly done a wonderful job, fine job. Everybody has been real fine, and we sure appreciate it. And it's our hopes and our prayers and our desires that we have did something, or said something, or you seen God do something by us, that will strengthen your faith and will make you love Jesus more; and your sick, that you'll get healed---because that's our simple, heart-sincere desire---as that's what we're here for. And if we've achieved that by our coming, we're thanking God with all that's in our hearts.

11 And now if you're ever down around Jeffersonville there (Why, the little Tabernacle is at Eighth and Penn street. Once in a while I'm in, have services there). or anywhere out in the meetings, let's meet together again and shake hands; and I hope to be here again next year, the Lord willing. Thank you. Thank you.
Now, how many of you will pray for me while I'm out in the fields? That's the main thing. God bless you. That's fine. You promise your prayers, and that is my strength, where I draw it from God, is by the Holy Spirit.

12 There's so many things I could say.
Many of my friends from Jeffersonville is here, and from different parts. The Downings are here from down in Tennessee. I've never seen them, but waved at them. Brother Welch Evans, his wife, and family is here somewhere. I couldn't find them now. Brother Banks Wood, his father, and mother, and brother, and all are converted Jehovah Witnesses, and they're here in the meeting. And oh, I hear that Brother Hickerson received the Holy Ghost last night. Oh, praise be to God. Him and his wife. Brother Collins, the Methodist preacher, his ... he and his wife, and his brother and his wife, all received the Holy Ghost. And, oh, I tell you, things are just rolling on wonderfully. And we thank you dear people who was in the prayer rooms to help pray with these people. It means a lot to my church, to be strengthened like that. Somebody told me that Brother Wood and them had received the Holy Ghost also, which was seeking for the baptism. I'm so thankful for that. May the Lord bless those brothers, and I know there'll be a new something in their lives. It'll be real. Amen.

13 Now, we're going to pray for the sick. We don't want to keep you too long. We want you to go back to your church tonight. And if you're visiting, why, visit some of the churches. Brother David DuPlessis has just reported, and said they had such a wonderful time at the place where they were at this morning. And I run over to Brother Sullivan's, and we had a wonderful time over there with his congregation.
This little brother here, Brother Pat Tyler, is another one of my brothers and associates. Brother Anthony from New York, a little ... are you Greek, brother, or Italian? A little Italian church in New York. All around, so many everywhere, I just couldn't call their names, but I trust that God will richly bless you.

14 Now every one that's here that isn't healed, let this be the hour. Let this be the time. Now, last night there was a group of wheel chairs along here. And I was so much under the discernment, I couldn't hardly see the congregation no more, and almost fell out of the steps out there, going out. And I kept feeling Billy or somebody hit me in the side to leave. But there was a little colored baby that I was very interested in. It's here. I'd saw what had happened to the baby, a mistake of a doctor that did the damage from a shot. But I believe that that child's going to be all right. That's right. And I was so far out till I couldn't hardly call no more.
People will never know until I meet you over in that land what that does to me. It's just hard, brother, sister, you don't under...

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

15 Just think, Jesus of Nazareth, one woman touched His garment, He said that made Him weak, virtue went out of Him. Is that right? And that was the Son of God. How about me, a sinner saved by grace? And standing here and see it time after time after time; the only way that is, because He promised, "The works that I do shall you also; more than this shall you do, for I go unto my Father." I know it says "greater," but the right translation from it is "more." "More than this shall you do, for I go to my Father."

16 Now before we read the Father's Word, let us bow our heads for prayer.
Our gracious, and loving, honorable, and ... Father, we come to Thee just as humble as children could come. And we were giving our brethren and our friends thanks for all that they have did for us in this meeting. Now, every one of us together, with our heads and hearts bowed, we are thanking You, our loving Father, for Your goodness. For it was through You that all this has been accomplished. The afflicted has been healed, the sick has been healed, sinners have come to You to be saved, and those who are saved has come and been filled with Your Spirit. Thou has not left one thing undone that we have preached. You have confirmed every word with signs following. We thank Thee for it, Father.

Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

17 And we know that it's Your will to heal everybody, and to save everybody, and to fill every one with the Holy Spirit. And we pray, Father, if there's any here that's left out, may they realize at this hour that it is not Your will that they be left out of anything that they have need of, because You are here and willing and wanting and longing to give them the desire of their heart. For they are your children, to whom You gave your life for, and You are ready and willing to help them.

18 Bless the words that we read. And while we are speaking, let the blessed Holy Spirit take those words out across this audience, and sink them down into every heart as they have need of. And when we are finished with the service this afternoon ... or, rather, when You are finished with the service this afternoon, and we return to our homes at different places and different towns and cities and states and even different nations, may we say like those who came from Emmaus that first Easter morning, "Did not our hearts burn within us, as He talked to us along the way?" And we'll always give Thee the praise, Father, for we ask it in the name of Thy loving Son, the Lord Jesus. Amen. [Gap in the audio]
...neither is there any water to drink.
And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Take the rod, ... gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth ... water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

Numbers 20:5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.

Numbers 20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.

Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

19 May the Lord bless the words of His Bible.
It must've been an awful hot morning. They'd had no sleep through the night. They had gathered at a little oasis. All night long the cattle bawled, and the horses nickered, and the children cried, and the people murmured---no water to drink. And they were out in a desert alone. And they'd searched through all the springs around the place, and all the springs had went dry, and there was no water. Their sin had brought them into this condition. They had forgotten all that God had did to them, and did for them, and had went off to murmuring against God and His prophet. And it had brought them out into this wilderness where it was a desert, with no water, nothing for their children, no food to eat, no water to drink. It's a horrible thing when people sin. A very striking type of today in the world.
Then we find also that they'd easily forgotten that the God that had promised them to take them to the land had been the God that gave all those signs and wonders and miracles.

20 If we could stop---wish we could, but we can't---pause on that for a few minutes... God makes a promise, then He confirms that He's going to fulfill that promise by keeping all of His words and showing Himself present. How beautiful that God is doing the same thing right here at this Chatauqua. But you see, we are on our road to the promised land. God promised to supply all their needs, from Egypt to the promised land. God promised to supply all our needs until we reach the promised land. And there would not be any sickness among us if we'd kept God's promises---but we have sinned.
What is sin? Disbelief. Unbelief is the only sin there is. Drinking, smoking, gambling, committing adultery, that is not sin. That's the attributes of unbelief, see. Righteousness is the attributes of salvation. But people can quit smoking, drinking, and everything and still not be saved. So sin is a mark that the person that does it is not a believer. The Bible said, "He that believeth not is condemned already." So, if you never lied, stole or done anything in your life, you're still a sinner to begin with. You don't have a chance outside of Christ. He is the way.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

21 And these people had got altogether away from God, and He'd cut off their water supply and their food supply. And that's very similar of today, that God has cut off the great blessings from the church that He promised the church: that He would be with them (Listen!), He'd be with us, even in us, to the end of the way. "The works that I do shall you do also. I'll never leave thee nor forsake thee. I'll be with thee always, even unto the consummation, all the way."
"Now, why isn't He in the church today?" the people talk. "Where is that God of history, that God that rose up?" He's only waiting for His people to come back to Him and get right. Then you'll see the God of history come in when the people gets right.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

22 How easy they had forgotten that when the plagues was in Egypt that they were protected! When there was flies all over everything, there wasn't a fly around them. When lice filled all the beds, all the clothing, and everything, there wasn't one bit of it on them. Frogs was in the cupboards and everything else, all over the rest of the unbelievers, but they had been protected---God showing His mercy.
Notice, and when that final and great night came, God said, "This is My final blow at Egypt. But before I can strike this blow, I've got to bring My children to protection." And there was a sacrificial lamb killed, and the blood was put on the post and the lintels of the door, and the congregation went under the blood. Remember, that was the last plague that struck Egypt. And the last plague that's striking the church today is the same as that was. A spiritual death, because as God led them literally, He leads us spiritually. And the last blow at the enemy is death is striking, and all from under the blood is disfellowshipped by the Holy Spirit.

Exodus 8:22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

Exodus 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

23 Now, therefore we have a spiritual death in the churches. That's the last sign before the hour of deliverance, is a spiritual death. Did not Jesus say the same thing? They'd be "heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, despisers of those that are good. Having a form of godliness, but would deny the power thereof: from such turn away"---the hour that we are now living, when the church world has become plagued and dying a spiritual death.
But God protected them, and they had forgotten it. How quickly our Pentecostal believers are forgetting that too, that you were saved by His grace and filled with His Spirit, in this great, tremendous, dying time to the church. Don't forget that, that the God that give you the Holy Spirit to live by, and to make this journey, is with you every step of the way. We just so quickly forget it. It's too bad.

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

24 Now, how that God brought them out, how that in that great night He passed over them, the great Passover, and how He had done these great things for them.
Now, then how they had begin to grumble after they'd got out, they got out to the Dead Sea. God opened up a way when there was no other way. God became their way! That's the way I found it in my life. When I get to a place where there is no way, then Jesus makes a way where there is no way to be made. "I am the way. I am the truth and the life." Now, we find that God made a way when there was no way and delivered them. Now, I hope you got on your spiritual jackets. Listen.
And the uncircumcised---meaning, without the Holy Ghost, the uncircumcised... How many knows that the Holy Spirit is circumcision? If you ever read your Bible, you know it. Stephen, said in my message this morning, told them priests and them, "You uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Ghost like your fathers did." The Holy Ghost circumcises the heart.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

25 And now, in the journey God promised to take care of them, and He did take care of them. And He never fails. And then when the unbelievers tried to impersonate them, they was drowned.
And you've seen yourself, people come in and try to impersonate, or act like they got the Holy Ghost, we find out it isn't long till they're on the rubbish heap. Exactly right. You cannot impersonate it. It's got to be a genuine something you've got yourself. You cannot come in and act like you're a Christian; you've got to be one. And the only way you can be one is by birth. We've heard people come in and speak with tongues. First thing you know find them out here on the rubbish heap. They didn't get the Holy Ghost; they got a confusion of language. The Holy Spirit makes a man what he is from his heart. He has godly love.

26 Now, they had forgotten all of this.
They left the great murmur with Moses and with God, chatting, "Why did you bring us out here? Why do we have to stay here? I'd rather be back down in Egypt any time. Why didn't we die down there? Let Pharaoh kill us. Be better than being out here." If that isn't like the complaints of the church today! So easy they forget the hand of God. So easy they forgot it. Listen, what taken place, oh, it's tremendous. "We'd rather die down there." Look, those people had left from eating onions and garlics of Egypt, and God had rained bread down out of heaven, angel's food, and fed them with it; and they were still complaining.
God has give the church angel's food---Holy Spirit---and they still complain about something all the time, continually.

Exodus 16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Exodus 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

27 Left onions and garlics to eat angel's food, that angels prepared in heaven and rained down on the food that they had to eat; and still they were complaining. They'd left the old muddy rivers of the Nile---drinking that old muddy water---and was drinking from a spiritual rock of pure salvation water; and was complaining about it. Yes, always complaining because a little hard times struck them. Oh, just as soon as you have your first trial... Come in a meeting, see the Holy Spirit; go back out and have a tummy ache, and say, "Well, maybe I never got healed." Shame on you!
Sure you got healed if you believe it. Your feelings has nothing to do with it. It's your faith is what we look at. That's what God sees, is your faith, not your feelings. Jesus never did say, "Did you feel it?" He said, "Did you believe it?" That's the idea.

28 But they left the boasting physicians of Egypt down there, saying, "Oh, we're the doctors; days of miracles is past," to be with the Great Physician. And forty years' journey, hundreds and thousands of little babies born, all kinds of sickness and old people, there wasn't a feeble one among them with that one Great Physician. Hallelujah! And still complaining! They'd left the place down there where they said, "The days of miracles is past." That's where you left. You left those places that says the days of miracles are past. They left that to be with the ... out here where signs and wonders follows the believer, and still they were complaining. Isn't that just like the people today?

29 But instead of all that, in the face of all of that, when God seen the mercy for the people, Moses fell on his face (that prophet) and said, "Lord God, sure they've sinned, but hear ... give them another chance."
And what happened? God told him, "Rise up and go out yonder and speak to the rock, and it'll bring forth its waters."

30 Now, wouldn't the carnal mind pick that up as a foolishness? What would the carnal mind do? Why, certainly, the rock was the driest place in the wilderness. Well, if there's going to be any water it would be in the spring, not up there on that rock. God does things just vice versa sometimes to what man thinks is right.
That's the reason that man hasn't got a right to lead God's people. It takes the Holy Spirit to do it for a filled church. Certainly.

Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Luke 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

31 Now, they say today, if there's any divine healing and miracles, it would be in our Catholic church, be in our Baptist, be in our Methodist. But God's able of these stones to rise up children to Abraham. What did He do? He went to the most unlikely place that could be, the rock. That's the way today. They say, "Now, what kind of a place that healing going on at? Where do them visions take place?
"It's a Pentecostal group."
"Ahh, get away from there. If it's any kind of thing like that, God would give it to our church." See? But that's what it is.
What happened? Why wasn't there water? Because their man-made springs had dried up! That's what's the matter today with the churches. Our man-made denominations and theology has dried up. But God still has the command to speak to the rock, and it'll bring forth its water. Certainly.
Yes, very foolish to go up there. It looks very foolish. Why would a man leave a great big place, to come down and get amongst a bunch of what they call "holy rollers"? What's He doing? He's only obeying the Word of God. That's what Moses did. He obeyed what God said do. He spoke to the rock. Regardless of how foolish it sounded or anything else, he spoke to the rock. And the rock was to bring forth waters of life for them.

32 Oh, the only thing we need to do today, it's just like it was then, is speak to the rock. No matter if all the springs have dried up, if everything else is lost and gone, the only thing we have to do is still continue and speak to the rock, and the rock is still able to bring forth its waters. You believe that?
Now, one time in the Bible... (Now we're having a little shower on the outside also, so just move in, give a little vent, press especially on this side where the rains coming from, and it won't hurt anything.)

33 "I'll speak to the rock and the rock shall bring forth his waters." Did you notice it? It, i-t, "it will bring forth his [personal pronoun] his waters." What kind of waters? waters of life. That's the kind it'll bring forth. God promised it, and God would do it. Now, that's what's the matter today. When you have gone as far as you can go, if you search through every doctor's office there is, and they still say there's nothing can be done for you, then I tell you, do like Moses did: speak to the rock, for it's still bringing forth its waters of salvation, divine healing just as God promised. Only thing you have to do, if the doctor says "No," speak to the rock and it'll bring forth its waters.

34 Now, Hannah ... Hagar was turned out of her home. She had a little baby, the poor little fellow was dying. Why, she didn't know what to do with it. She didn't understand the treatment of her mistress. What happened? When they got this condition, her little baby's tongue, little Ishmael's tongue, was swelling out of him. She laid him under a bush, and went out about a bow shot, and fell down on her face. And she spoke to the rock and the rock brought forth the waters, and there was a spring, Beer-sheba, which still stands today as an everlasting memorial that He still is God. And you can speak to Him and He'll bring forth whatever you have need of, everything that He promised in the land.

Genesis 21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

Genesis 21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

Genesis 21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

35 Sure, the Hebrew children wanted to stay true to God. One day, because that they were true to God, the federal government fined them. And they said they would throw them in the fiery furnace, which meant instant death. And when they started to throw them in the fiery furnace---they'd prayed all night, sought God---and as they throwed them in the fiery furnace, they let them burn for about four or five hours. The king got worried. He said, "Go open the door." And when they opened the door, they found the three Hebrew children sitting in there, speaking to the rock that was able to deliver them from the fire in the furnace. They was speaking to the rock and the rock had smothered the fire.

Daniel 3:6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

36 Joshua, one day he was bothered. God had led him across the sea ... across the Jordan River. How was he going to take this land? How was he going to take Jericho? He was walking around one afternoon trying to figure out a way that he could descend the walls, or something. After awhile he saw a man standing there. He pulled his sword and went to meet him. The man pulled his sword and come to meet him. He said, "Are you for us or are you for our enemies?"
He said, "I am the captain of the host of the Lord."
Joshua spoke to the rock and the walls fell down. As long as we'll speak to the rock, there'll be a way made.

Joshua 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

Joshua 5:14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?

Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

37 Blind Bartimaeus, hundreds of years later, was sitting... Now look, hundreds and hundreds of years later, an old, blind man sat by the wall, dreaming of the days when Joshua shook the walls down with the power of God, sitting there in his blindness. And he said, "Oh, if I could've only lived in that day, I would've seen Him also." And less than a few minutes from then, old, blind Bartimaeus---without hope, without any medical cure, without anything---he spoke to the rock and the rock gave him back his sight. When Jesus of Nazareth, which is a rock in a weary land ... he spoke to Him and He gave him back his sight.

38 The woman at the well, she came up there one day to get a drink of water. Her life was condemning her. She wanted some water, and she drawed down to get it.
Somebody sitting there said, "Why don't you ask me for a drink? I'd give you waters you don't come here to draw."
And she said, "Lord, give me this water forever more." She spoke to the rock. And when she got a drink of that water, she run into the city saying, "Come see a man who told me the things that I've done. Isn't this the very Messiah?" Sure, she was thirsty and she spoke to the rock.
Martha, the sister of Lazarus, one day when sickness had come to their home, death had come to their home, her brother was dead, buried, stinking out in the grave. But she went down into the city, for she heard something. Faith cometh by hearing. And when she got down there, she spoke to the rock, and the rock brought forth life again to her dead brother, because she spoke to the rock and the rock gave back the life of the dead boy.

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

John 4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

John 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

39 The disciples one night in a storm, twice as horrible as this, was out on the raging sea, and all hopes was gone. They thought they'd be gone, but they happened to remember they had the rock on board. Hallelujah! They spoke to the rock, and the rock gave forth its eternal life water. And He spoke to the winds and the waves and they obeyed Him. They just had to speak to the rock.
If you need joy, speak to the rock. If you need salvation, speak to the rock. If you need divine healing, speak to the rock. If you need the Holy Ghost, speak to the rock and He'll bring forth His waters, the waters of salvation, if you'll just speak to the rock. Anything you have need of, speak to the rock.
The rock is just the same today as He ever was. He's still got eternal life. He's still got eternal peace. He's still got joy unspeakable and full of glory. He's still got divine healing. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. The only thing the people need to do is speak to the rock. Amen. You believe that? Let's bow our heads then, and speak to the rock. Everybody in prayer.

Matthew 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Luke 8:24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

40 Heavenly Father, we come in the name of the rock, the rock in a weary land, the shelter in the time of storm. We pray, O Lord God, that the rock will overshadow us with His power and mercy, that every sick person in here may be healed today. May they speak to the rock. There are men and women sitting here suffering with cancer, some of them blind, some crippled. The doctors says there's no hope for them---then let them speak to the rock. Moses without hope, they was in the wilderness where no water was. But they spoke to the rock and the rock gave forth a gusher. And they all drank, and they lived.
Lord God, may we drink from that fountain today that never runs dry. Oh, in this Beulah Land of salvation where we've been called out of Egypt's garlics and stink pots into this great wonderful place where it's Beulah Land, where the rock lays, eating angel's food and drinking from a fountain that never runs dry, God in heaven, grant this blessing to the people. May they see today that the rock still lives, the rock resurrected from the dead, the rock is in the land today. He's a shelter in the time of storm, and may the people run into it and are safe. Grant it, Lord. Hear the prayers of Your servants as we pray and call upon You. In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

41 Oh, my, speak to the rock! If you're sick, speak to the rock. If the doctor says, "I can't do no more for you," then speak to the rock. If the church says, "If you shout in my church, I'll turn you out," then speak to the rock. If the denomination was to excommunicate you, speak to the rock. Amen. When death comes stealing in your room, speak to the rock. He'll make a way and divide the waters of Jordan as He did for them, and you'll walk over on dry land. Speak to the rock. That's all you have to do.
You don't have to smite it no more, just speak to it. Just call on His name. "Whatever you ask the Father in my name, that I'll do." Amen. Speak to the rock and it'll bring forth its waters. Speak to it. Look at others speaking to it. You without the Holy Ghost, look at them that's spoke to it. Methodist, Jehovah Witness, Baptist, all such, speak to the rock. The rock's no respecter of person, no respecter of time. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, and will evermore be the same rock that's promised to supply all we have need of from here to the promised land. Amen. Do you believe that?

Joshua 3:17 And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

42 Did you give out prayer cards? Billy said they give out prayer cards. All right. Let's find out if you sick people who come this afternoon, come doing this, in condition to speak to the rock.
I'm not the rock; I'm just His outlet, see. Our ministers are just outlets. It's a pipe where the water flows through. Don't glorify the pipe; glorify the water that you're getting out of the pipe, for the water comes from the fountain. Glorify the water. Then remember, it couldn't be me that healed. The pipe doesn't give you a drink. The stem that comes through it doesn't give a drink; it only supplies the water. You drink from that rock, that smitten rock that's already been smote. Moses smote that rock with the judgment rod of God. And the judgments of God smote the rock Christ Jesus.
And when Moses smote the rock, there was a cleft in the rock. Always was a cleft in that rock from that time forth. And when Christ was smitten, there was a cleft in the rock. Out of that rock they found honey when they were hungry, they found water when they were thirsty, for it was a smitten rock. That same rock today has water and honey and abundance of life, joy unspeakable, full of glory, divine healing, powers of God to set a man free from sin. Speak to the rock, and it will bring forth his waters. Amen.

43 All right.
Those who have prayer cards, what was it? C 1 to 50, line up over here on this side. Oh, I feel like talking to the rock, don't you? I'm so glad that there is a rock (C. A lady back there, is that right? C, yes. All right.) C 1 to 50.
Oh, speak to the rock. Oh, I heard a fellow singing a song the other night, "I'm looking for a rock that is higher than I." That's the rock we're wanting to see. Now remember, you say, "If I could only speak to the rock!" The rock talks Himself. I wish I was bigger than I am. The rock speaks for Himself. How many believe that? The rock is not dumb, this rock is a living rock. Lively stones you are, fitted up together with this rock to make a shelter. Speak to the rock and the rock shall bring forth His water. Thanks be to the living God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I love Him.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

44 Now, while they're making ready, how many here that doesn't have a prayer card, and you want to speak to the rock? Oh, my, that's fine. Now, the rock just ain't only in this prayer line---the rock covers it all. Let us sing now a good song, "I Love Him." If you will, sister, give us a chord, while we're waiting for them to get the people so they won't be jammed up against one another, kind of lined out in a line. Let's sing now with all of our heart, now.
I love Him, I love Him
Because He first loved me,
And purchased my salvation
On Calvary's tree.
I (let's raise our hands) love Him,
I love Him
Because He first loved me,
And purchased my salvation
On Calvary's tree.
Oh, how I love that, don't you?

45 How wonderful, glorious. Now let's have a little word of prayer. (Just continue on, sister.) O God, our heavenly Father, when the anointing of Thy Holy Spirit gets upon us, then we seem to forget that we're still earthly. There seems to be a deeper sense of something more real. It makes us cry and shout, and strange things that we do that's hard to understand by the carnal mind, but we have spoke to the rock. It's very strange to think that the rock would bring forth water, but there was waters there somewhere. To follow the commandments of God always brings forth the results. And we thank Thee for this, our Father. And we pray now that as we closing out this revival and service, that there will not be one person here but what will receive all that they have come for. If it's for salvation, may they accept You as their personal Saviour. If they have not yet been born again, filled with the Spirit, we pray that they will be filled with Thy Spirit. If it's healing, may there not be a feeble person in our midst at the close of this service. Bless them, Lord.
They've come, they've sat around, they've waited, and, Lord, I don't know what more we could do. Preaching, telling them the truth, reading it from the Scriptures, giving them parables. Then above all that, You come right down in our midst and prove that You're here. May they have faith to speak to You this afternoon and say, "Lord, heal me, save me, fill me with Thy Spirit." Grant it, Lord. We commit them all into Your hands now in the name of the Lord Jesus.

46 Now as we're settling, quieten ourselves, this great sacred moment that we're now facing... Here's where all the preaching that I have done, and everything else, will either be found right or wrong. Now, if the rock only lived in the wilderness and it isn't the same rock today, then it won't, it won't speak. But if it is the same rock, He'll speak by the same words. Is that right? Sure, He is. He said, "Our fathers ate in the wilderness, bread." He said, "But I'm the bread of life that come from God out of heaven. Man eats this and never dies." Then He said about Moses, and they told them ... He told them, before Moses was, He was.

John 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

47 And He's the same great rock.
When He was here in the world in a body of flesh, dwelt in one man, His Son Christ, we see what He did in them days. He never done nothing till He saw a vision on what to do. No one... He said Himself... How many of the people are aware that Jesus said He did nothing till He saw it first being done? If you want to read it, St. John 5:24 ... or, 5:19, beg your pardon. "Verily, verily I say unto you, The Son can do nothing in himself, but what he sees the Father doing: ... that doeth the Son likewise." Now that's either right or wrong. If it's right, He never performed one miracle or done one thing until God showed Him by a vision, first, what to do. That's what He said, or He told something wrong. He couldn't do that and remain the Son of God.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

48 Now I know it's going to be a little hard for you to hear, and I would the engineers, whatever they are, just step up them microphones just as hard as they can, because under vision, you don't know what you're saying, you don't even know where you're at. So then, here it is. Now, is there anybody here that's never been in one of the meetings before? Let's see your hands. I guess you're all ... about one or two. Now if Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever...
In the book of St. John, He met a woman. Him being a man, He met a woman, the woman at the well, that I preached about a few minutes ago. And He asked her for a drink, and He carried a conversation with her. After awhile He found what her trouble was. How many knows what it was? Sure, she was living in adultery. He said, "Go get your husband."
She said, "I have none."
He said, "You've said right, because you've got five. And the one you're living with is not your husband."

John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

John 4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

49 Now the Pharisees heard Him do that and seen Him do it, that same rock, and they said, "This man is Beelzebub, a devil." Is that right? Some kind of a mystic fortune-teller or something.
Jesus said, "I'll forgive you for that, but some day," in words like this, "when the Holy Ghost comes to do the same thing, you speak one word against it, it'll never be forgiven [How many knows that's true?], this world nor in the world to come." Because they call the Spirit of God an unclean spirit, like a devil spirit, fortune-teller.
Anybody knows that fortune-telling's of the devil. Certainly. All them witchcraft, and fortune-tellers, and mental telepathy, and all that kind of stuff like that comes from the devil.

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

50 But remember, Jesus said in the last days, when we got all this here positive thinking by different ones, and mental telepathy, and that other stuff they try to accuse (what was it?) supersensory perception and all that, that's of the devil. And the Bible said it would be here. As Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so will these resist the truth.
The truth is the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the power of God. Jesus said they would be so close together it would deceive the very elected if it was possible. But it's not possible to deceive the elected, because they were elected before the foundation of the world. Their names are put on the Lamb's book of life. "Those who He foreknew He called; those who He called he justified; those who He justified he has already glorified." That's right.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

51 Now here's a woman. I've never seen her, as far as I know. I guess we're strangers. All right. Here's a lady I've never seen. She's probably around my age, maybe I'm a little older than her. But we've never seen one another, and this is our first time seeing each other.
Now, if Jesus Christ remains the same, and it's promised that He would show the Gentiles ... I'll say it like that so... You want me to explain it, I could; but I'm sure you understand it. He promised that He would show the Gentiles, just like He did the Jews and Samaritans. At the end of the Gentile age, He would show the Gentiles. How many knows that? The same sign that He was the resurrected Messiah.

Genesis 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

52 As it was in the days of Sodom, when the Lord Jesus was there, God manifested in flesh told Abraham who his wife was, and what her name was. She was in the tent behind Him, and He told her he was going to have a baby by her, and she laughed. And He said, "Why did she laugh?" Now, Jesus said that same thing will take place just before He comes. We're at the end of the road. Now, if He's still the same Messiah, He'll do the same Messiahic signs to prove Himself. I'm not Him, I'm just your brother. I'm---well, just like you---one that's received His Spirit. Now, if the woman didn't believe, no matter what was said, it would never help her anyhow. And she's got to believe before anything will take place.
Now you out there in the audience, you just believe the same way for yourself, or for somebody else. No matter what it is, you just believe for them and find out if it doesn't take place, just exactly the same.

53 Now come this way just a minute, lady. Now here we are. I just want you to get this. This is our first time meeting in life. I do not know you, but God does know you. Now I've just spoke that that rock is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You believe that? Yes. You are a Christian. The feeling of your spirit tells me you are a Christian. If it wasn't you'd draw back. Now, I have no idea what you're here for. You may be for somebody else. You may be for finances. You may be for domestic trouble. You may be sick. You may have some heartache or something. I don't know. But you have come to me, as God's servant, to try to speak through---like they did in the Old Testament---through the prophets to find out what was what, and so forth. Is that right? What was going to happen. Well, then, if He still remains the same as He was, then His Spirit is in us and will do just like He did then. Is that right? How many in the audience will believe it now with all your heart? All right. Only thing I ask, just look this way, don't doubt.
You believe me to be His servant? That's good. And if we've never met, there's something wrong with you, God will have to tell me, or have to have some kind of a power that would tell me, because there's no way for me to know. And then through that, if it would tell you, it would help you. Would it? It would help. Well, you are here for healing, and that's in your stomach. You got a stomach trouble, complications and lot of things wrong with you. That's exactly right. Now, if that's true, raise up your hand. Now do you believe? See how exact the Holy Spirit is? Now, that's true. Now, if you're... Wait, there's something else. She's got something else on her mind. She's thinking of something.

Matthew 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

Luke 5:22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?

Luke 9:47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

54 Did Jesus perceive their what? [congregation replies, "Thoughts."] That's right. That's how I picked that up just then. She's got something else on her mind. That's exactly right. That's your husband. He's sick, he's here. He needs healing, too, doesn't he? You're not from here. You're a Canadian. Go back home. Take that handkerchief. If you put that on, both of you will get well. Go, believe with all your heart in the name of the Lord

55 [Gap in the audio--Ed.] Do you believe? It's that simple; she just gets healed. Now remember, I could not do that. I could not do that for nothing. It's God. See? You--you're afraid God's way off somewhere; God's right here. He's right around you. Just speak to Him, He's alive. I guess we are strangers to one another.
Now, if you'd take this line like that... I just got to hurry this through here, you know. That's...
Just have faith; don't doubt. Believe with all your heart. Now, you're... I suppose you're a little older then me. But we don't know one another. God knows us both. And if He will tell me what's wrong with you or something in this order or something on that order... [Gap in the audio--Ed.] If He tells you what has been, you know whether that's right or not, then you could know what will be. Is that right? Is that fair, congregation?

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

56 Now, let's get two or three so it... The Bible said, "In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word be established." And then we'll start just praying for the sick as they go along. Do you see the Holy Spirit present?
Now, I don't know you; I've never seen you in my life. But God does know you. But if He will tell me what your trouble is, you'll know whether it's right or not. You're suffering with a kidney condition. That's right, kidneys. That's right. And another thing, you have a growth you're praying about. That's right. You believe God can tell me where the growth is? Would it help you? It's on your right side. That's right, isn't it? Uh-huh. You're not from here either; you're from the mountain country, like, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Your name is Miss Colt. Go back home and be healed. Now, how do you like that? Is that... All right, just have faith if you believe. Just believe; have faith in God.

57 All right? We're strangers to one another, I suppose. Now, here's a man. Now, let's see if...
[Gap in the audio]... He believed; he said, "Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God, the King of Israel."
Now, that same Son of God is not dead; He's a living here this afternoon. Now, may God help us. I don't know; He might not say nothing to the man. I never seen him; I don't know that He will. But I hope He will. I think... What is this, two or three? Three? And this man'd be three. All right, two women and this man'd be three, a confirmation. All right.

58 Sir, God knows all about you; I do not. But if He can tell something that you know that I do not know, would it help your faith? Would it help every man out there to believe it now, every one of you men? Your trouble's in your throat; it's esophagus. You've been to doctors; they want you to be operated on for it. That's it? That's what's wrong with you; that's what happened before he come to the church. You believe? Yes, sir. I just happened to notice another thing while I was feeling your spirit. You've never been satisfied with an experience as a Christian yet, fully surrendered to God. You need Jesus as your Saviour. That's right. Will you accept Him right now as your personal Saviour, you give your life to Him?
I see you can't eat, can't swallow right. That's right. You're just dwindling away, going away. That's true. That's been coming on for quite awhile, it's bothering you in your throat. You're not from here; you're from Cincinnati, Ohio. You believe God knows who you are? If I tell you who you are by the Holy Spirit, will it help you? John Huff, go on back home and get well. Jesus Christ make you well. You believe with all your heart?

59 That little man sitting right down there wanting to quit smoking cigarettes, you believe God will give you your desire, sir? All right. You won't smoke no more. Jesus Christ makes you well. You don't have a prayer card, do you? No. You ain't got a prayer card, you don't need it. You have faith in God. Do you believe?
That young woman sitting right back there praying for her friend in Pennsylvania (that's right), you don't have a prayer card, do you? But you're praying for a friend that's in Pennsylvania. I seen them rolling hills. Believe with all your heart and he'll get well. It's one of your loved ones. Believe with all your heart, he'll get well. Do you believe with all your heart? If thou canst believe, all things are possible. Hallelujah! Do you believe it?
The little lady sitting back there, praying. She got varicose veins, the first thing. And she's praying for her husband. He both smokes and drinks. You ain't got a prayer card have you, lady? But you was praying for God to help you. Is that right? You receive your healing. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the rest of it. Have faith in God, don't doubt. I challenge you to believe Him. Amen.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

60 If I don't say one word, just lay hands on you, do you believe you'd get well? In the name of Jesus Christ, go and be healed. If I tell you what's wrong with you, will you be healed? Your heart trouble's cured. Go and be well. Believe with all your heart. If I don't say nothing, will you believe with all your heart? In the name of Jesus go and be made well. Have faith.
Do you all believe now? Is everybody praying? These signs shall follow them that believe. People with prayer cards, people without prayer cards, in the audience, wherever you are, have faith in God. Speak to the rock! In the name of the Lord Jesus, may our brother be healed. Amen. In the name of the Lord Jesus, may my sister be healed. There's something here that's telling me these things. You believe your female trouble's left? Go on your road and say, "Thank the Lord. Praise the Lord." Do you believe your nervousness left you? Go on the road and praise the Lord. Believe with all your heart now? Have faith.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

61 In the name of Jesus Christ, may our brother be healed. Now have faith. Just believe with all your heart. God bless this little woman, heal her in Jesus' name.
Come, little boy. Do you believe now? The Lord Jesus heal you, my son, and make you well. Amen. Come, sister dear. Come right on. You believe now with all your heart you're going to get healed? In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. Come believing now, don't doubt. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. Amen. Come, my brother dear. In the name of the Lord Jesus, may this devil depart from you, and you go and be made well. God bless this little one, too, in Jesus' name I pray. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. Amen. Go believing, now. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. Amen. Come believing. In the name of the Lord Jesus, may she be healed.

62 Is everybody praying? Everybody on prayer ground? All right.
In the name of Jesus Christ, may he be healed. Grant it, Lord. Come, sister. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. Amen. In the name of Jesus Christ, may the woman be healed. Come. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. That's the way, sister. That's it. There's the kind of faith it takes to get the blessing. In the name of Jesus Christ may you be healed. Come, sister. In the name of Jesus Christ, may you be healed. In the name of Jesus Christ, may you be healed. Come, sister, believing with all your heart now, and you'll get it. In the name of Jesus Christ, don't doubt. Same as Bartimaeus was at the gate. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. Come, sister dear. Don't doubt, now. Believe; it will happen. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she be healed. Come, brother. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. In the name of the Lord Jesus, be healed. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed.

63 Wait just a minute. That's okay. I thought it was something else. Do you believe? All of you believe with all your heart? Everybody believing? Now look, see, if the anointing's here, the people passing over ... that's just laying hands on them, just exactly the way it always is. The same Spirit's here. That's all. You don't have to tell people.
Here, this is ... I believe it's the first colored person we've had on the platform today. I believe, as far as I know. All right. Look.

Mark 15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

Luke 23:26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

64 One day in Jerusalem there was an old rugged cross going dragging down the street, dragging out the bloody footprints of the bearer. And Simon Cyrenian helped Him bear the cross when He fell under that load. He was an Ethiopian, where your people originated at. He still remembers that. Do you believe that same Jesus lives today, and He could tell me what your trouble is? You believe that? Happens to be that you're not here for yourself. You got healed last night. You want me to tell you what you had? You had stomach trouble and diabetes. That's what you got healed from. Another thing, you're here for your daughter. And your daughter has stomach trouble. Her name is Mrs. Wells. And you can go on your road home and be made well, in the name of the Lord Jesus. All right.

65 Come believing, don't doubt. Have faith. Lord in Jesus' name, heal the woman, make her well. God, in the name of Jesus, heal my brother and make him well. Just remember, the anointing of the Holy Spirit's still here. Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, heal our sister and make her well. Father in heaven, I pray that You'll heal our sister and make her well. Come, brother. Do you believe with all your heart? That old back is going to be all right now, just go on. Believe God with all your heart, and you'll get well. All right, come. Now, you don't look like you have it, but you have this arthritis. But you believe that God will make you well? All right, sir. You can have it if you believe. All right. Go on your road, rejoicing. Say, "Thank you."
This man's shadowed to death---cancer. Do you believe God can heal that cancer, sir? All that's out there suffering with cancer, stand on your feet. Everybody that's got cancer in the building, stand on your feet. Don't you dare to get up. You've already been healed. Hallelujah!

66 Do you love Him? This lady sitting here praying for her husband. He's got eye trouble and unsaved. You believe God'll fix him, cure his eyes, and make him well? All right. God bless you. May the Holy Spirit come upon him and save him from a life of sin.
Right behind you there, you're praying for a friend that's in the hospital, dying. That young lady, do you believe with all your heart? All right. See, you all don't have prayer cards. You don't need them. If you'll believe, God will stay the hand of death. I just want you to know that the Holy Spirit's here. Amen.

67 God bless you, brother. You see what that is? If I could heal you, I'd do it. I can't do it, but I believe that God will hear my prayer, don't you? Then I cast away that evil devil in the name of Jesus Christ. Go, be made well.
Here, sister. I don't know you. There's so many pulling out there now. It's just got me so weak, I hardly know where to stand. You're suffering with a lady's trouble, female trouble. Stand right here just a minute. Every woman out there that's suffering with that female disorder, stand to your feet right now. Stand up for prayer just a minute. All right. Here you have the same thing, lady, so you stand right over here, and you believe with all your heart.

68 All right. Look here, sister, just a minute. Your stomach trouble. Stand right over on this side. Everybody with stomach trouble stand up. Have faith, don't doubt. Young fellow, look this way. Your back trouble. Stand right over here. Everybody has got back trouble, stand on your feet. Have faith in God. Stand right over on this side. Have faith in God, believe. Right over here also. Nervousness. All right. All that's got nervous trouble, stand up on your feet. Everybody that's bothered with nervous trouble, stand up. All right. Come along now. Let's see who this next one. Asthmatic condition. All that's got asthma, stand up on your feet, everyone stand to your feet. You're going to see the glory of God. Come on. Stomach trouble, nervousness stand over on this side. 69 There you are. How could I call all of those? But the Holy Spirit knows all about you.
How many's got any kind of sickness? Stand on your feet. I don't care what it is. If you got any kind of sickness, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Are you ready to speak to the rock? Now, you go and believe. And you go and believe.
Stand out here just a minute, and I'll raise my hands up to God, all of us. I command the devil in the name of Jesus Christ, our rock of salvation, to depart from every sick and afflicted person in here. I do this by the blood of Jesus Christ, under the atonement, by the ministry of an angel that sent me to do these signs and wonders before you, to speak of the coming of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

70 O God of heaven, creator of all good things, send Thy blessings upon the people while I condemn the power of the devil that's bound them. These people on the platform, those in the audience, may the devil leave them. May every shadow of unbelief go now. May they speak to the rock right now about their case and may the rock pour forth His healing powers and glory into their bodies and souls and heal them. In the name of Jesus Christ, I commend you to God. Amen.
