A Super Sign

1 [Brother Neville says to Brother Branham, "...we at this time would like to show it, in a small way, by presenting to you a little gift."] Thank you, Brother Neville. ["God's blessings rest upon you. You're welcome."]
Thank you, very much, Brother Neville. And thank you, church. Just doesn't know just what's on the inside of it. But I appreciate, with all my heart, all that you have meant to me, and the things that you have done for me. And if it wasn't for you, there would be no me. If there wasn't someone to believe the message that God gives me to preach, there would be no use of preaching it. There has to be two of us working together. So, I appreciate this very much.

2 Our church has always got, more or less, among us here, a sense of humor. Now, when I walked in just a few moments ago, in the back room, someone handed me a package, and said, would I walk out to the platform and present this to Brother Neville. In appreciation of my feelings to him, and the fellowship of this church, and what he has meant to us this year, as a pastor in the years gone by, and the hopes and prayers that he will continue to be our pastor through many years to come; a token from the church and myself, Brother Neville.
[Brother Neville says, "Thank you, very much, all of you. God bless you. I truly appreciate the kind things and the helpfulness that has been toward me from each and every one in the congregation. And I truly, this morning, feel deep down in my soul that every last one of us are deeply grateful to Brother Branham for what he has meant to us, in his ministry. And may God prosper him and bless him as he goes on for the Lord this year, is my earnest prayer. Thank you, very much. I certainly appreciate it."]

3 The little children, all right, I think the little fellows now are to go to their rooms. And now remember, be real good little girls and boys, out there in the room this morning, for, after the service, I think (it looks like) that there was something left here for you, in treat.
Now, to the adults, as you see our population of young fellows are quite a number, we are anxiously waiting until the time that we can have a new church where we can separate those classes.

4 Our Sister Arnold certainly has an armful; not a handful, but an armful. And my little girl was telling me, she said, "Daddy, it's so hard on Sister Arnold," she said, "because she will be speaking to us in the language that we would understand, and then the little bitty tot will do something and she will have to stop and correct them for it," you see. So it makes it hard on this one woman to have all this class. So we appreciate her and her fine cooperation to do what she can in this time of need. The Lord bless her.

5 Now we are hoping, some day soon, the Lord willing, to have a nice, big Tabernacle, where we will have all kinds of Sunday school rooms for the classes. For the little babies, with the flannel-graph; and have up over the pulpit, up this, a great glass-faced nursery, where a trained nurse will be there to take care of all the little ones. There will be no interfering in the services, at all, walking or tramping around. These little fellows are restless; they don't understand. We have to understand them; they can't understand us. And so, then, a place where everything will be just the way I believe the Lord would have us do it. It will not be fancy, but a nice church. We're looking forward to that.

6 Now, for Brother Neville and myself, I've just drew an idea that these were suits of clothes. I don't know, Brother Neville. I think it is. I'm not sure. Because, it looks like a suit box, to me. [Brother Neville says, "Amen."] Don't you feel the same way about it? ["Yes."] And it's either suits or overcoats. They both look the same, so it goes to show there is no respect of person here. And so I have an overcoat, and I know that it's not an overcoat. You have one, also, so it must be a suit. And it's just... We just do appreciate this so much!

7 And I am sure that, as pastors, shepherds... The word pastor means "a shepherd," one who shepherds the sheep. I'm sure that we are grateful to you, each and every one of you, because it was your kindness and thoughts, and money, that made this gift possible to us this morning. And through God's grace, we are pledging ourselves to be your pastor, to do everything that we can to lead you in the right way. Maybe sometimes, the way we speak and things, it may be hard to understand. But we're only doing it as guides, trying to guide you to that place, that, in the resurrection you'll appreciate us greatly then. For, we have considered not our own selves, in making up when we speak to you, not of our own thoughts, but trying to do just as the Holy Spirit would lead us to do. And that's been our endeavor, and we are still endeavoring to do the same thing, that is right, for the pastor and myself.

8 We're grateful to see the sunshine. Doc, my brother, was just saying he sent word to Brother Frankie Weber, in Florida, said, "Not the only one that can get out on Christmas and wash the windshield off, of his car, in his shirt sleeves." He was doing the same thing, so warm! Well, you know, Florida gets tired of the sunshine, looking at Florida all the time, so it has to come up in Indiana and see how everything is getting along up here. Don't you think so? So, we're happy that it give us a visit, at least for a few moments, this morning.
But, above all things, we are thankful for the Sunlight of God, that gives us the shining of eternal bliss.

9 I wonder if the little lad, that's just come in, would want to sit with his parent. Or, there is a Sunday school class in the back, little fellow, if you'd like to go back there. Brother Taylor, would you direct the little gentleman to the class? That's fine. Sometimes they like to be with their own, you know. They have things in common, that they like to talk about. And it's just like that.

10 The little twelve-year-old girl, as I have often said... If you see a little eight-, nine-, ten-year-old girl hanging around with grandma all the time, there is something wrong. See, there is something wrong, because there is too much difference in their age. You can imagine, grandma has got a sack of candy somewhere, she can put her hand on. And little sis is... Them big eyes are brightened up for the sack of candy. Because, in common, they would have nothing to talk about, nothing but just she could pet her and baby her. But that's the way it is, and we're glad that it's just that way.

11 And then I'm making that statement, I did it one time, on the preaching of the lamb and the dove. You see, they have things in common. They could talk about things.
The Masonic lodge, they have things to talk about, brothers of the Masons lodge; brothers of the Odd Fellows lodge. Germans has things to talk about, to Germans, about the home place, when Germans meet each other over here, one just come from the home place. Italians have things to talk about.

12 And Christians has things to talk about. That's why we assemble in places like this, in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, because we are citizens of the same country. We are pilgrims and strangers here, to this world. So we love to gather together on these sabbath mornings and prayer meeting times, to assemble ourselves together, because we have things in common. We like to talk about common ... things in common, that we love: the Lord, His doings. Someone, in their heart, burning with something, the Lord healed them, and just wants to present themselves up there, "See what the Lord has done!" Someone received a great blessing, and just wants to go to the church, to fellowship these blessings with someone else. See, that's why we have things in common.

13 It seems to me that the acoustics is better in the church, this morning. It seems to me. I'm not sure. There is such a rebound in here.
But I'm so glad for the results of last week's revival. It has not only given a local stir, but around, different countries, we've heard from it, that the Lord was good. Now, if just burning the old bridges, making things ready, and entering into the Lord, prepared to receive the blessings; if that little time did that, what would it be if we continued on? So, let's not let it die. Just keep pouring on more material all the time, until the smoke signals will be seen around the world, that Jesus Christ lives, and there's a fire burning in our hearts.

14 After I have made a new dedication, my own self, and my wife, and so forth, we've noticed things so different around home. And not as nervous as we were, shaky and jumpy, "we won't get this and we won't get that." We just go at it just quietly, get more done.
So, now, there is a coming new year. And we don't believe in turning new pages; we just believe in burning the old. So just keep yourself consecrated to God through the coming year, we don't know what the Lord will do for us.

15 But we're grateful for every one of you. I'm very thankful to God for every member of the body of Christ, everywhere. And in all different phases of faiths, no matter how much they might disagree with me, I'm still grateful that somebody... Even if I'd think they would be a little in error, in the Scripture, but yet trying to earnestly stand for what they believe. I'm certainly willing to bear with those brethren, and them bear with me in my errors and things, because there is none of us perfect.

16 But in the message the other evening, when I spoke of God separating Himself at Pentecost, at the junction time, or at the conference where there had to be a decision made, "What kind of a church would this new Christian church be?" That's what the conference was held for. And we find that in that book of Acts, the second chapter, we find the kind of a church that was decided on; what type of church, what would the church be, what would be the reaction of the church when it had received Christ. I love that. And I am earnestly contending for that church that was once established on the day of Pentecost. Now, it was odd then; it's odd now. And it will, as long as there is sin in the earth, and a battle to be fought, it'll be odd to our foes; but yet it's the precious things of God that we earnestly are contending that God will do for us.

17 Now, the announcements, I guess Brother Neville has already made them.
And being home for this week, to pray and to seek the face of the Lord. For, in this coming year, by the help of God, if He will only help me, I want to press the battle harder than I ever did in all my life. And perhaps a great deal of this year will be spent in the foreign fields, and Haiti, and in the islands, and South America, and Africa, and Asia, and India, and up in Scandinavia. And all those is to be decided this week, if the Lord will permit. Therefore, when I feel led to do anything or to go anywhere, the Lord has sent me to do so.
Then when I step off the plane, on the soil, and seem like here comes one, and said, "Oh, this certain denomination dropped out, this did this, or this went wrong, or we couldn't do this, or the authority says we cannot have the meeting."
Then I like to stand, "But I come in the name of the Lord!" I know that's the devil then. See, it isn't did I make a mistake; I'm led. And then you can stand with your shoulders to the wheel, and press the battle.

18 Now before we open the Book ... or, to ask God to open it as we read it, I would like to say the reason that I am bringing this message to the church this morning. It's my Christmas message to the church; it's the ... if the Holy Spirit will help me to deliver what I believe about it. Now, no matter how well it's written in the Scriptures, and how much a person understands it, they've got to yet depend on the Holy Spirit to deliver it to the people. And it's just after Christmas, when you've heard all the different Christmas stories and the broadcasts, and so forth, of the Christmas messages. This will be a little unique, for a Christmas story, but yet God has placed it upon my heart.
And now let us bow our heads just a moment, in His presence and the shadows of His justice, to ask mercy.

19 O God, our blessed Saviour and Father, we are approaching Thy throne of mercy. In the name of the Lord Jesus, Thy Son, we are humbly presenting ourselves this morning, to offer to Thee our prayers and our thanksgiving, for all that You have did for us. In this last week, especially, how that hearts has hungered, and the people has fasted, and the Holy Spirit has blessed them, has done great things in our midst! The sick has been healed. And God has been made known, that He lives, and He loves His people.
And that the words are still so true, of the prophet, when he spoke the words of the Lord God, when he said, "If the people that are called by my name shall assemble themselves together, and pray, then I will hear from heaven." Those words are just as true as the day they were first spoken. And we've found that so, Lord. Now forgive us, we pray, of all of our sins, all of our unbelief, which is sin.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

20 And we would pray, Lord, that You would restore to us that faith that once moved that first church. Not asking for flowery beds of ease, but asking only for mercy of God, and for His presence, and His blessings to go with us. Whether it be in this field or a field across the sea, whether it is on luxury, or beds of ease, or whether it is at the battle front, no matter where it might be, Lord, Your slightest will is our extreme desire to serve you. Just make it plain to us, O Lord, that we will not miss the way, for we walk in a dark and blinded world, amongst sinful blinded people. So, clear our way, Father, and lead us as You would sheep of Your pasture.
Let the Shepherd of the flock sweetly and humbly lead His people, as we wait upon Thee this morning for the morning message. May the Holy Spirit speak plain to each heart, and may we catch the glimpse of what the prophet was speaking of, and in that, then, have the glorious blessings of the presence of God, to confirm every word. We ask it in the name of Jesus, Your Son, our Saviour. Amen.

21 I would ask our audience this morning, those with the Bibles, if they would desire to read with me, the Scriptures, or to follow me as I read, if you will turn to the book of Isaiah. The prophet Isaiah, and the seventh chapter, I would like to read from the portion of this Scripture. In Isaiah, the seventh chapter, we will begin with the conversation of God to Ahaz, at the tenth verse.
Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God, ask it either in the depth, or in the heights above.
But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
And he said, Hear ye ... O house of David; It is a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and ... call his name Immanuel.
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse ... evil, and choose ... good.
For before the child shall know to refuse ... evil, or choose ... good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both ... kings.

Isaiah 7:10 Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,

Isaiah 7:11 Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

Isaiah 7:12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.

Isaiah 7:13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 7:15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

Isaiah 7:16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

22 If I should say a subject out of this, to draw a context, I would like to use the word: A Super Sign.
When we have the darkest night, and it seems that in some times it's so dark in this night that we cannot even see our hands before us, it is at that time that the forked lightning shines the brightest. It's sent to us to show that there can be light in darkness.

23 This was during the time of the reign of Ahaz, a wicked king. And if you noticed, the Lord never addressed the message to Ahaz, but to the house of David. "Hear, O house of David! This shall be a sign." Because, they was in war, brethren against brethren, and it seemed to be the darkest hour of Israel's journeys and their pilgrimage. But God blasted forth, through the prophet, an eternal sign. Now, signs are many times...
People have signs. And we live in a world full of signs. Man has tried to achieve certain signs. Man has tried, through his scientific research, by his own achievement, to make a sign that would be an outstanding, or a memorial of his intelligence, of how great he is, or what a mastermind he is. He has done that down through the years.

24 For instance, when the marine intelligence of the world, some less than a hundred years ago, decided that they were so smart that they could give to the world a sign of their cunning craft, that they could build themselves a ship that there could not be a wave big enough to sink it. And they called this certain ship the Titanic. It was a lasting memorial to the world, that the great art of shipbuilding had come to a perfection, that they could show to the world that this ship could not be sunk.
So, with all of the safety upon the intelligence of the builders, and their speech and talks, and scientific proofs that this ship could not be sunk! Then when things are presented to people like that, they seem to rest assured that everything's all right, as long as the scientific research says that it's okay.

25 So they was crossing the ocean in this ship, on its voyage, and feeling so secure that there was nothing could harm them, they throwed a big drunken party. And all of the women and the men aboard, or, maybe many of them, I might say, become drunk; even, they say, even the pilot and the captain, and all of them. And the bands begin to whoop up the jazz music, which was the great fad of that day, as we have rock-and-roll today. Because, they were safe, they were in a ship that men had given the world a sign of their intelligence, that "This ship could take any wave or any sea."
While they were in this drunken stew, it headed towards the fog. And one of the captains said, that, we must check the engines. But the main party said, "Give her 'Straight ahead!' We've got to be at the port for a certain cause." While she was plunging in the fog, like it was the master of the situation, all of a sudden, she struck an ice gorge, and down beneath the water she went.
And we are told by the poet who wrote the song, "God, with His mighty hand, shows this world it cannot stand."
Their great achievement went to the bottom of the sea, with hundreds times hundreds of drunken people aboard. It just won't work.

26 It was the late Adolf Hitler who give to the German people a sign that he was a genius, he knowed all about military life. And, without discrediting him, he did know much about it. But he assured the German people, by building what we call the Maginot Line, or the Siegfried Line, that he poured billions of tons of concrete and steel together. Showed his confidence in it, that he moved his headquarters up to the front line, where restaurants and business places operated beneath the ground, where they had billions of tons of steel and cement. No matter how it ever went, Germany was fortified. It was a sign of safety. But the modern blockbuster blowed it into eternity, and Hitler with it.

27 It was Nimrod, one day, who said that he would build a tower that would bring his people, he could show what he could achieve by his intelligence. And he was to build a tower that would go beyond the clouds, that if the wrath of God ever come, he could outsmart Him. With his scientific research, he could place the rocks and the stones in such a way that he could take the people to safety, by his intelligence. But it was brought to naught, by a confusion of tongues, and they couldn't even finish the tower.

28 It was Nebuchadnezzar who built the walls of Babylon, and then bragged about it. So great, that six head of horses and chariots could race around the walls. Its gates was so big, until men sweated their life out of them, pounding the brass into gates that weighed hundreds of tons; in the great city, they taken companies of men to swing them open. No one could touch Nebuchadnezzar. But one night, in a drunken stew, thinking that they were safe behind their scientific walls, with the weapons of their days, there come a hand writing on the wall. And it was ended.
Oh, how man has tried to carry men to safety, to push himself on to safety, by his own signs of achievement. It seems like, because that men seek for a sign, there must be some reason for it; something within a man that would call for a reason or a sign, from somewhere, that he could be safe.

29 Then God spoke up, said, "I will give them an everlasting sign. I will give the church an everlasting sign." It wasn't to be a great wall or a tower. He said, "A virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and call His name 'Immanuel.' That will be God's eternal sign." How simple! How little!
Do you understand that it's the little things that you pass over and omit, that mean so much to God? Can the church conceive that this morning? In our achievement as organizations, and his great buildings and masterpieces, we're omitting the little things that mean so much to God and so much to our eternal destination. We omit those things.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

30 God saying that "I will give you an eternal sign. A virgin shall conceive, and bear a baby."
Why, why a baby, why should it be a baby? The Creator Himself must come and live in His creation, to be a sign to men? Why should it be a baby? Why couldn't He have said, "I will build a great ladder, and all of you... like Jacob's dream. Or, I will drop from the heavens, from the corridors of heaven, a string, and give you strength that, when you hook yourself into it, I will lift you up"?

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

31 But, He come so simple. And said, "A baby will be born, and that will be a sign." Not only will it be a sign, but it'll be a super sign. A baby. Why, the intelligence of science would laugh in the face of such a thought. But, to God, it was a super sign. "A virgin shall conceive, and this baby will be called Immanuel, which by interpretation will be, 'God with us.'" That's the super sign.
God of heaven living with people is the super sign. It would be not a sign only for that day, but for this day and for all days. God lives with His people. Immanuel, God with us: This is the super sign. This is the eternal sign, the everlasting sign, God gave.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

32 And why did He become dust, the very dust of His own creation? The creator became that: dust of His creation.
Men trying to do big, big things; but, when God gave a sign, it was a little thing. Men try to deal with big affairs; God deals with small affair. Man tries to say, "Because everyone goes this way... Let us do like they do in Hollywood." God wants the minority. He wants to omit all the big things, to receive the little ones.
A baby will be born, little, Immanuel will be born. God of the creation become part of His Own creation. God, the Creator of the heavens and earth, who made the dust and the trees, and all the things that is, become part of them. That'll be a sign: He will come through the way by a human being.

33 Now, He could have come some other way. He could have come by the way of other ... of other ways He has of coming.
But He chose to come this way, to give a sign, the super sign. "A virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and they will call Him Immanuel." Now, what was it for? What reason?
Why didn't He choose to become an angel? He could have done it. He could have come a full matured man. He could have come with a full salute from heaven, with the angels and all the beings of heaven; lay down from the corridors of heaven, the golden ladder, and He could have climbed down with an angel band. He could have did it.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

34 But He said, "I will give you a sign, a super sign, an everlasting sign. A virgin shall conceive, and bear a child."
And when He had to select a place that this child would be born... He could have come down the ladder, with all full-heaven salute. He could have come down from heaven as an angel, or come down as a full matured man. But He, also, could have come in a king's palace.
But He said, "I will give a sign." And the sign was told to the shepherds, "You will find Him in the stable, wrapped in swaddling cloth." That's the super sign, born over a manure pile, and the stink of the barn, with not even clothes to put on Him---Immanuel! The devil wants to make things big and bright. God keeps things humble. A super sign, "You'll find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, laying in the manger. This will be a sign, the super sign." When He was on earth, He was so poor! How we talk about hard times? Who is this little One? It's Jehovah!

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Luke 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

35 Jehovah God became man, took on our stock, crossed Himself from God, and become man. There's the sign. Become... He was God, and became man; not rich man, but poor man. This is the super sign. "You've asked for a sign," said God, "I will give you one, an everlasting sign."
He could have come otherwise, as I've said; but a baby, why did He become a baby? When that first little, toothless mouth opened in that manger, on that first crib... first Christmas morning, in His little manger crib, and the first little yell that went from His voice, that was God crying. Jehovah crying; a man. Come from God; and was man, every whit, man. Come to the world with nothing, but still man. What was He trying to do? What was He purposing?

Isaiah 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

36 He cried like a baby, in the manger. He played like a boy, on the street. He toiled like a man, but yet He was Immanuel. This is the super sign. God dwelling in the creation that He created. The super sign, "It shall be a sign unto you."
He was so poor when He come to the earth, He come through a borrowed womb, a borrowed womb of a woman; and had to borrow a grave to be buried in. God! "A virgin shall conceive, without sexually interception." Jehovah borrowed the womb of Mary, a woman, to perform the duty, that He'd give an everlasting sign. And was so poor on earth, after thirty ... three-years-and-a-half of ministry, He had to borrow a grave to be buried in. Can you imagine? Talk about immaculate conception! What meanest thou, anyhow?

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Luke 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

37 Can't you see the real sign? It's Jehovah become one of us. Jehovah God on earth, as a fugitive, a pilgrim in the land that He created; rejected, and pushed, and laughed at, and scoffed at; a stumbling stone to the unbeliever, a rock of an offense; a devil, to the religious world. But an eternal sign to the believer, "God with us," the super sign. Do you see it? God made manifest, God presenting Himself to the world, as a fugitive; could have come some other way, but chose to come this way.
Listen to this. Don't miss it!
I think that God had in His mind it would be appealing to the human being. It is, to the believer. It is appealing when our God becomes one of us. But to the starchy, ungodly: a stumbling block. "I will give you the sign, a virgin shall conceive. Immanuel will be with you." God thought it would appeal to the human race, that our God would be one of us, that He would cross Himself and become our dust, that He would become our stock, a human stock; the Creator who made all things.
And again, it fulfilled prophecy. The prophets had saw it.

38 And another thing, the Word was made dust, flesh, and dwelt among us. The Jehovah, the Word, became human, became dust, and tabernacled with us. Everlasting sign, shall never end. Oh, when we think of it, an eternal sign, the super sign of all signs, God becoming one of us.
Then, again, He must be the seed of Abraham. Abraham, of course, was the seed of Eve. Eve was the woman's seed that was to bruise the serpent's head. But Abraham, if you can catch it, he had faith in God, which united the Spirit of God with the flesh of man. There is where the faith come. There is why He could be the Abraham seed, not all flesh, but the uniting of Spirit and flesh together. God, making Himself ... tearing out, rooting out all evil, bringing into submission the flesh, the dust that He created, and live with you as a partner.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

39 Another thing, He never defiled or contradicted any of His laws. He cannot do that. So, a virgin! "I will give you a sign [not a Titanic, not a U.N., but], I will give you a sign of safety. A virgin shall conceive, and she shall bring forth a Son, and call Him Immanuel." That's the sign. Yes.
You see, in God's laws of redemption, as it was with Boaz and Naomi, it had to be a near kinsman. And the only way that man could be redeemed, God had to become a kinsman, near. I want you to see it. He never become kinfolks altogether to the rich, to the mighty, but He was born in the stable, wrapped in swaddling cloth; not to the adult, but to the child. He was God over the creation. He chose to do it. Not come a full matured man; He came that He might suffer the feelings of the little babies. He came that He might go through the teen-age temptations. Might go, that He could toil the toils and snares of the devil as a man, and make a way for people of all ages, of all ages and of all classes: the poor, the rich, the all. He became poor, that through His poverty, we might become rich and heirs with Him in the kingdom. A sign would be given, crossing Himself, making Himself something different than what He was; now a super sign, crying as a baby, playing as a boy, toiling as a man, but it was God living in all stages of life like we do.

Ruth 2:1 And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.

40 You know, God has give many signs that He was God. He gave a sign to the antediluvian world, that He was God, the God of judgment. He drowned the people in the days of Noah, and floated the righteous in an ark; a sign that He was just, and judgment was sure. That's a sign, that every unrepented sinner will perish in the judgment, that the righteous shall be saved by the mercy of God.
He gave another sign at the burning bush. What was it when He caught His runaway prophet? "I have heard the cries of my people, and I've remembered my covenant." He gave another sign there, that He was a covenant-keeping God, that He remembered everything that He said, every promise that He made. He gave a sign at the burning bush, "And I've come down to deliver them."

Exodus 3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

Exodus 3:8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

41 Watch God in His ways of work. When He created the heavens and earth, He called the angels together, and He said, "Let us." Every place in the Scripture where He did anything, mostly: "Not me, but my Father."
But when it come to the plan of redemption, He came alone; nobody was with Him. He was the only One that could come. An angel couldn't do it. Another man, called His son, couldn't do it. One called something else, a holy virgin, or a holy mother, or some saint, couldn't do it. God had to come! "And I will give you a sign. A virgin shall conceive; and a baby will be born, and He will be Immanuel, God with us," the super sign. God in His people. God with His people. God become His people. God and man became one. A sign! A stumbling block to the world, but a blessed hope for the believer. A sign that will be evil spoken of.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Luke 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

42 He had another time that He proved. He proved in the flood that He was the God of judgment, and the God of mercy to those that keep His Commandments.
He showed at the burning bush, by a sign, that He would keep every promise that He made.
And at the Red Sea, He showed that He would make a way for those who were trying to do right and follow His Commandments. No matter what cuts it off, God proved at the Red Sea, and gave a sign, that He could open up the sea. In every temptation, He will make a way of escape. Say, "Mother don't believe it. Daddy don't believe it. The church don't believe it." I don't care who don't believe it. If you believe it, God will make a way of escape! He gave a sign that He would. They were on their way, straight to the promised land, where God promised them; and the Red Sea shut them off, and they got in trouble; they didn't know what to do. God showed that He would make a way of escape in every temptation, every trial. If you can't quit smoking, take God one time! You can't quit lying, can't quit stealing, can't quit having temper; take God with you one time! If you don't feel like going to church, and you can't get anywhere; take God with you once, take His promise! He proved, at the Red Sea, that He will make a way of escape. God has gave many signs.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

43 But that night when He said to the shepherds, "Go down into Bethlehem, for this day is born Christ the Saviour. Christ, the anointed God, this day is born by a woman." God!
Not making her a god, now. He just borrowed the womb of the woman, the same as He borrows this body to preach the Gospel from, the same as He borrows your body to do the work that He wants to do through you, because He still is Immanuel, a sign, God with His people, God living among His people, the super, everlasting sign. It can never fail. It'll always be the sign.

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

44 You talk about these signs, what about this one? Before you can ever get any other sign---the sign of speaking with tongues, the sign of prophesying, the sign of any supernatural---you'll have to go back to the original sign, the eternal and everlasting sign. Get straight to start with, and upon that foundation, which is rock through the ages, and nothing will ever touch it. The gates of Hell will be against it, but cannot prevail. Get that sign, "A virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son."
And He told these shepherds, "Here is how you'll find Him. He will be in a manger, in a barn, wrapped in swaddling cloth. And when you look upon Him, believe, for He is God among us."
That sign wasn't only to the shepherds. But it was given to all the world, to look upon Him and see who He is. It's God with us, Immanuel.

Luke 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

45 When He was here on the earth, He proved that He was God. Proved that God was in Him, because the signs of God followed Him. He said, "If I do not the works of my Father, then believe me not. But if I do the works of my Father, if you don't believe me, believe the works, the sign." Immanuel! "I and my Father are one. My Father has sent me. And as he sends me, so send I you. The Father who has sent me is with me; He is in me and doing the works of himself. It's God in flesh!"

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

John 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

46 Didn't Lot get a taste of that before the destruction? When... He seen God manifested in flesh, eating a calf, drinking the milk of the cow, eating bread off the hearth, and stood with His back turned to the tent, and with the personal pronoun "I... I, seeing that Abraham is the heir of the world, I..." In other words, "I will make it known unto him."
Who was He? Then He said, "Abraham, where is your wife, Sarah?" It shocked him. God, in a prefigure of Christ, made flesh.
Said, "She is in the tent, behind You."
Sarah laughed. And He said, "Why did Sarah laugh?"

Genesis 18:8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Genesis 18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

Genesis 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

47 When Immanuel become through the womb of a woman, instead of appearing as a theophany, He said, "As it was in the days of Lot, so will it be in the coming of the Son of man."
When He was on earth, those apostles went forth with the Gospel, that even the angels looked over the banisters of heaven, the corridors of the Glory Land, to look into it. You who are putting down Scripture, as I see you writing, I Timothy 3:16. "Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: for God was manifested in the flesh, believed on in the world, seen of angels." The angels raised over to take a look at God; when, they once waved their wands before Him, crying "holy, holy, holy," when He was sitting yonder as a pillar of fire, in the glories of heaven. And when He become man; angels come and looked over to see Him, Jehovah, made flesh. Sure, "Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness."

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

48 "I will give you an everlasting sign," for God was made flesh among us. He dwelt in flesh. It'll be an everlasting sign. Not only to the shepherds to look and believe, but for you, the Branham Tabernacle, and for this cruel world, to believe that that is God. God gave that sign. Jesus said, "As the living Father has sent me, and come with me and was in Me, so send I you; the living Father to go with you and be in you, an everlasting sign. These signs shall follow them that believe! Lo, I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the earth. I will be with you. The end of the world, I will be there with you."

Isaiah 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

John 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

49 Someone, as I have said before, wants to make Him a little short God. He was man; God was using a man. God was using a flesh that He created Himself, in order to create through Him, and to bring through Him many sons, says the Scripture, through that obedient Son. Through one son, all fell; through an obedient Son, all shall live that believe. God with us, a sign, said that would be a sign. Jesus so loved to refer to Himself as "Son of man," man Himself, just a man, "I am nothing; the Son can do nothing in Himself." But it's the Father was in Him, the Immanuel, the God.
The baby, God, Jehovah God! That little baby cried; that was Jehovah. Can you see it? God living in a baby.
God living in a teen-age. What type of a teen-ager was He? He set the example. When He was lost by His father and His mother, they looked about to find Him, and they found Him in the temple. What did He say, as a teenager? "Know you not? Wist thou not that I must be about My Father's business?" Example for teenagers.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

50 As a man, with all the pomp of the world offered Him, everything laying right in His hands, to become the greatest of all men, the richest of all men; who could tell people where fish had coins in their mouth, could pump the best water out of the wells and turn it into wine, that could change anything that He wished to change, that could take five biscuits and feed five thousand, with a power in His hands to become a great man, but still chose to be poor. Didn't even have a grave when He died; He had to borrow one. "Immanuel, this will be a sign." How does God come? In the poor. How does God deal? It'll be an everlasting sign; with the poor, the uneducated.

51 "A sign," said the great prophetess Ann. When Simeon raised his hands at the temple, holding that little One in swaddling cloth, and says, "It's a sign that'll be evil spoken of, for the fall of Israel, but the gathering together again, too; a light to the Gentiles!"
What? "God with us," not in the rich and the haughty, but in the poor. Born in a stable, "God with us." What kind of things did He do? Watch His things He said. Watch Him, what He said.
For, God Himself said, "This is My beloved Son, hear ye Him. This is My Son who I am pleased to dwell in, hear ye Him."
He said, "I will be with you always, even to the end."
He sent forth His apostles. They burnt the earth up in their day, as God being one with man. They baptized the people in the name of that God, Jesus Christ. They lived so close to Him till He manifested Himself through them, through signs and wonders and gifts of the Holy Spirit. "God with us." They preached there was one true and living God.
Man has built all kinds of towers on three or four gods, or two gods, but there is one God. That message was to be revived in the last day.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Luke 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

Luke 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

52 You had better get your thinking on now; open up your hearts. Ask God to reveal this to you, what I'm fixing to say.
When He come, He fulfilled what the prophets said.
And when He is coming in the last days, in the latter rains of God, when both former and latter rain will be poured out, He is coming just exactly the way it was prophesied of Him, "It shall be light in the evening time." What was to happen? Immanuel, the same Son, the same light, the same God that come to dwell in flesh with His people at the day of Pentecost, will come in the like manner in the last days, for it shall be evening light. What is it? There shall be a sign, an everlasting sign: God with us, God in us, God through us, man and God becomes one. Jesus died, that He gave that precious life, on His decision, (in last Sunday's message), because He gave it for a decision that He might bring many sons to God. Immanuel with us! The evening light people, it would attract them.

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

53 When God gave the sign, "This will be a sign. God will be dwelling in flesh." He thought that would attract the people. It did. "For as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become sons of God."
And it's supposed to attract the evening light people when that same light shows. God and Christ are one! Peter said, "Let it be known unto you, that God has made this same Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." A sign evil spoken of. But the evening lights is here.

Luke 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

54 As the late minister of the Gospel, when the Pentecostal message first started falling, the late Dr. Haywood, just before he... I guess, maybe when he was in his best, one day when the Spirit struck him---He was a poet, besides a preacher---he grabbed his pen and penned it.
It shall be light in the evening time,
The path of glory you will surely find;
In the water way is the light today,
Buried in the precious name of Jesus.
Young and old, repent of all your sins
And the Holy Ghost will surely enter in;
For the evening lights have come,
It is a fact that God and Christ are one.

55 The evening lights! If we are walking in the evening light, the evening sign, then it was to be the same light and same sign, an eternal sign. Then the same signs will follow the evening light. Whew! Do you see it? Can you understand it? That's the message this Christmas: the evening lights, the signs of the Messiah accompanying the message. The evening lights are here.
It's evil spoke of. They'll turn you down, your brethren. Who turned Him down? His brethren. They loved to see Him perform the miracles. But when it come to Calvary, where were they all at? When it comes to that crucial moment, where God in His truth and His Bible is to be made manifest, where are they? They back away.

56 "There shall be a sign given unto you. And these signs shall follow. The works that I do, shall you also; even more than this, for I go unto My Father."
"It shall be light again in the evening time." Oh, this dark day that we've been through! But for forty years the clouds has been clearing back, through the first reforming, of the bringing forth the message that God and Christ are one, that God was made manifest in flesh. He chose to dwell in human flesh. And today they make Him something sitting on a throne; they make Him some prehistoric something; some of them wants to take Him back to a philosopher; some wants to make Him a prophet. But, brother, He is God in you, God manifested in the flesh. How?

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

57 How did they know He was God in the flesh? He said, "If I do not the works of My Father, then I've told you wrong. But if I do the works of My Father, you believe it."
And now the same thing. The message is revived again in the last days, the message of who He is, what He is. Immanuel dwelling in you, with the same works that He did, manifest Himself through you, the very same things that He did. It's the evening light. It's evil spoken of. It's a hard way.

John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

58 It meant something for the rich young ruler, yet his heart hungry, to come to Jesus, and said, "Rabbi, what must I do to have eternal life?"
Said, "Keep the commandments."
He said, "I've did that since a child."
Said, "You want to be perfect then?" Said, "Follow me!"
But he went away sorrowful. It was too much of a price. If he could have give Him some money and built a big church somewhere, put himself a member, he'd have easily done it. Don't you see how that's patterned today amongst the rich? There were others.
Not only rich, but poor; many of them from the slime pits, and so forth, they refused because of popularity. Because, He was unpopular. He was Immanuel. They said, "That's criticism. That's the devil. That's mental telepathy. That's Beelzebub." The teachers of the day, their big churches, said, "Nonsense."
But God said, "It's an eternal sign, the super sign, the sign of all signs, that God is with you, even in you, to the end of the world." There's your super sign. It exceeds all signs. It's the first sign. Acts 19, those people had to come back and recognize that sign, before they could ever receive the Holy Ghost (Acts 19:5). Yet, a believer that had the Bible, and had a fine preacher that was proving that Jesus was the Christ, yet before they could come into it... And to see the sign, they had to come and be rebaptized, have hands laid on them and receive the Holy Ghost. That's true.
But in the evening time, the lights are here. And it's criticized; it's made fun of. It's evil spoken of. The prophet said it would be evil spoken of, "A stumbling block." Evil spoken of, made fun of, criticized; Immanuel in us, working His will through us.

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Matthew 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Matthew 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

Mark 10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

Mark 10:20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Mark 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Luke 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Luke 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

Luke 18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Luke 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

59 Oh, today, my pilgrim brother, my sister, believe that sign. Look into the manger of your own heart, and see if you are able to say within yourself... See the sign that the shepherds seen: God in flesh, dwelling amongst the poor, the needy, the off-cast. See if you can understand it. God in your heart, God in here, watch and see if He manifests Himself right, in sweetness and meekness, as He did.

60 A few years ago, there was a girl who went off to college, and, with a lot of her colleagues there, she become a very little smart aleck, from her old country teaching that she had had as a mother in a country home. And one day she decided, some two years later, to visit her mother again. She wrote her a telegram and told her she would arrive on such-and-such a train, to meet her at the station. However, she brought another little smart aleck with her. And she had become a smart aleck, herself. And she brought another one with her, that was kind of one of the modern-day's sophistications, know-it-all, teeannie.

61 And when she arrived at the station, when she started to get off of the train, she looked. And there stood her mother, looking with all that was in her, to see where her daughter was. And when the girl that was with her, mother... saw her with her face all scarred, and her hands all burned, and she looked terrible, old, and looked horrible. And the girl that was with the little Mary, said to her, "Wonder who that old wretched-looking thing is?"
And the girl was ashamed of her mother. She said, "I don't know. I don't know who she is."
And her mother, when she seen her daughter, run to her and throwed her arms around her, started to kissing her.
She pushed away, said, "I don't know you. You've got the wrong person," because she didn't want to be affiliated with such a person that someone else would laugh at and make fun of.
There happened to be a man, a conductor of the train, standing by. He grabbed that young woman by the shoulder. He said, "Shame on you, you miserable thing! I remember the case very well."

62 And the people gathered to hear what had taken place. He held the girl right out, and he said, "This young girl, when she wasn't six months old, was in her little crib in the upstairs. And her precious mother, the most beautiful woman I ever saw," said the old conductor. Said, "The house caught fire while her mother was hanging clothes. And the neighbors all run, screaming; they seen it. The mother never noticed it. It was on the porch side of the house. And the blazes had got well ahold, and it was gone into the air."

63 And said, "They couldn't hold that frantic mother. Her baby was upstairs!" And said, "All of them cried, 'You can't pierce those blazes!' But she grabbed the sheet that was in her hand, from hanging them up, and it was a wet sheet. And she threw it around her, and through the blazes she went, and upstairs, not thinking about her own danger. Then when she got there, she knew she couldn't wrap the sheet around herself to go back. But, to save the beauty of her daughter that was to follow her, she wrapped the baby in the sheet, and run through the blazes, with her bare face and hands and arms. And it burnt the meat off of her body, and shrunk her cheeks to her bones, and marred her, burnt her hair off, and all to the bones on her finger."
Said, "She become ugly, that you might become pretty. She forfeited her beauty, she forfeited everything that she had, that she might save you. And then you stand and be ashamed of that precious mother?"

64 Brother, when I see God, the God of heaven, forfeited His throne, His beauty, and all that He was; to be born on top of a manure pile, be wrapped in swaddling cloth, to be made fun of by His signs and His wonders, to be called a devil; should I be ashamed of Him? No, sir. Let the classic world do what they want to do. To me, He's the super sign. The Holy Ghost in me screams out! It might make me act funny and be a crazy man, to this world, but I cannot deny Him who done so much for me. He took my place in death. He took my place at Calvary. He done all these things. He condescended from heaven, from the pearly white thrones, to become a man; to taste my suffering, to go through my temptation, to know how to be the right kind of a mediator in me, to lead me and to guide me to eternal life. And through His poverty, I am made rich. Through His death, I am given life, eternal life.
Don't deny Him. Don't be ashamed of Him. Don't be ashamed of Him. But embrace Him, and say, "Yes, my dear Lord. Give to me like they did on the day of Pentecost, Lord, give to me the Holy Ghost. Pour it into my heart. I don't care what the teenagers say. I don't care what the world says. I'm not looking to them. I'm looking to You." What is it? Joining church? No. The super sign, Immanuel, God with us!

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

65 Let us pray.
In the audience of the people this morning, is there some here that would like to say, "To me, I'm ashamed of my life. I'm not ashamed of Him. I'm ashamed of my life," to offer to Him who was made ugly, and despised by the world?
"A Man of sorrow, acquainted with grief. We all hid our faces from Him," said the prophet. "He was despised and rejected. Yet, we did esteem Him stricken and smitten of God. Yet, He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquity; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with His stripes we were healed."

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

66 Would you be ashamed of Him? If you are, come to the altar and repent of your sins. If you're not ashamed of Him, and you're ashamed of your life that you've presented to Him, such an awful thing. You've been ashamed many times, before the boss, before your woman friend, before your man friend, before your girl friend or boy friend. You've been ashamed of Him, Immanuel dwelling in you. Raise your hands and say, "God, forgive me for being ashamed."

67 Our Lord and our God, we humbly and most graciously ask You to accept our apology, this morning, for all of our shortcomings, for, all of us at times are guilty. We are guilty for standing for truth. We are guilty. When they want to call us some evil name, like, oh, "holy-roller," or some evil thing that is not so, yet sometimes we back off like Peter and warm ourselves at the enemy's fire. Forgive us, Lord.
The new year is approaching us. May we start from this very hour, and see the super sign of God among us, God living with us, dwelling in us, performing, doing exactly the way He did. And the evening lights are here.
Forgive us of our shortcomings. Forgive our sins.

68 And we most graciously, Lord, accept Your Christmas present, the Son of God, to dwell in our flesh, our dust, to live with us, sanctifying His way by His own blood, and giving us the assurance of eternal life. We thank You. I thank You, Lord, for this great wonderful present from God, for it is a gift, a gift of the Holy Spirit, all packaged up in the name of the Lord Jesus. We're glad to receive it. We thank You because our church stands for that sign, because the sign stands for the church's teaching. We stand for it. It stands for us. And it's known among the Christians throughout the world today, of a poor, ignorant bunch of people at Eighth and Penn Street, at Jeffersonville; that Immanuel, the pillar of fire from the wilderness, the Jesus of Galilee, the Holy Spirit of Pentecost, made manifested by all Immanuel's signs in the evening light. We're so thankful, Lord. And may others see it and receive it. For, we ask it in Jesus' name, and for His sake and the church's sake. Amen.

69 I wish I had the voice of a singer. If I should have the voice of a singer just now, I would love to sing to you my favorite hymn, wrote by my precious friend, William Booth-Clibborn.
Down from His glory, the ever living story,
My God and Saviour came, and Jesus was
His name.
Born in a manger, to His own a stranger,
The God of sorrow, tears and agony.
O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My life, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
What condescension, bringing us redemption;
When in the dead of night, not one faint hope
in sight; (Then the forked lightning came!)
God, precious, tender, laid aside His splendor,
(Stooping to a manger, a stable full of
manure, to be born in)
Stooping to woo, to win and save my soul.
O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

70 And then He is in me, and I am in Him, and in you, "In that day, you will know that I am in the Father, the Father in me, and I in you, and you in me," God, Immanuel, with us.
It was that Immanuel that seen George Wright, sitting down there just now; laying there dying, when four doctors passed him. It was that Immanuel, when He had to borrow a womb, when He had to borrow a grave; He borrowed my eyes, said, "Go tell Brother George, 'Thus saith the Lord. He will dig the grave of those preachers and things that's laughing at him.'"
It was that Immanuel, it was that same One, about the little animals, the other day in the woods. It was the same One, about Margie Morgan sitting there, all the rest. It was the same One who borrowed the mental faculties, the senses of the body, to present Himself to the world today, through you, while the evening lights are shining. God be merciful, friends!

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

71 I'm taking so much of your time. Let's try it. Give us a chord, "O how I love Him!" How many know it?
O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My life, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
[Brother Branham hums "O how I love Him!"]
............ How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

72 [Brother Branham begins humming.] Now is the time for Him to show His grace. A mother brings a little baby here with leukemia, cancer in his blood stream. That evil to a baby? God hears my voice. "Speak the word, and it shall be so." For, Lord, You've said, "Say to this mountain, be moved,' don't doubt, it shall be." In the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I condemn the devil called leukemia. The disease of this child's body, it shall leave it [unclear words] in the name of Jesus Christ, may it be so.
My sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
How I love Him! I just can't let it go. I want to, just like Jacob, hold onto it.
............... adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
("This shall be a sign.")
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

73 Isn't He wonderful? Don't you just feel like worshipping Him? Just in the Spirit, just worship Him. [Brother Branham begins humming.] Just forget yourself now. Don't be ashamed. The Holy Spirit is here. That's the Holy Spirit. Just meekly in your own way.
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
What condescension, bringing us redemption;
("It shall be a sign.")
When in the dead of night, not one faint hope
in sight;
God, precious, tender, laid aside His splendor,
(Think of what He did!)
Stooping to woo, to win and save my soul.
Let's raise our hands when we sing it.
O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

74 Lord, we will never be able to understand the riches, the fullness of Your Spirit, until we see Him at that day when He shall come. We may be sleeping in the dust. I may have to turn back to the original dust, but that will not worry me one bit. "I know that He will call, and I will answer. And then I shall see Him as He is. This corruptible body will be changed and made like unto His Own glorious body, whereby He is able to subdue all things unto Himself."
I will ever be grateful to You for the Christmas gift of Christ in my heart, to know that it's the same Christ, because He does the same thing. He makes me feel and act like He did at the beginning, to His servants.
I'm thankful for a church universal, triumphant, already predestinated and called, and sealed, and ordained to that body. I find them in Asia, Africa, Rome, everywhere, Indiana, through the States, Africa. Everywhere around the world, I find that church triumphant, who knows that You have come in the flesh. And You said that, "Every spirit..." In Your Bible, You said, "Every spirit that does not confess this, is the wrong spirit, the antichrist. Every spirit that doesn't witness this same thing, that Christ has come in our flesh, is the antichrist spirit."

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

75 Father, God, help me to jerk those firebrands out yonder. I can see them, Lord, out yonder. See the lepers at the gate, look at India yonder, at the Taj, at the gate, them poor things crawling on the ground, no feet. See them poor little black boys yonder in Africa, their little hands reaching up. O God, send me, Lord! Let the angel come with a coal of fire, burn into my soul, Lord, and take all the dross and sluggishness out, that I might go as a firebrand of God, to pluck from the fire those who are in gross darkness.
Bless my little church, Lord. Oh, I can see the little sawdust trail down through here, see the precious people. People driving by in their cars, laughing at them, because they got their hands up, praising God. But someday Jesus will come, and all things will be made right. We won't be ashamed, Lord. We will join with Paul of old, and say, "I'm not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it's the Power of God to salvation, to eternal life, to everyone that believes." Help us to live that way, Father. We're worshipping You now in the Spirit, in heavenly places. We thank You for this visitation this morning. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

76 Just once more, will you?
O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
Lord Jesus, bless my sister, in Jesus' name.
................ my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
Just want more of Him, don't you, Doe? [Deloris says, "Yes."] That's my sister, my sister in flesh.
O how I...............
My daughter-in-law. They want more of God. Brother Grimsley coming, wanting more of God.
................. my all.....
That's it. Brother Wood is coming. Brother Collins, Methodist preacher; his wife, others.
............became my Saviour,
This is the works of the Holy Spirit calling, Himself.
...............dwelleth in Him.
O how I love Him! (Just express it in
your own way now) How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

77 Lord, Lord, here they are, the sheep of Your pasture. Feed them, Lord, on Thy Spirit. They are giving theirselves to You, Lord. They are consecrating their lives to Thee. They stood because they're not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We know that You're here, the great pillar of fire, the Christ, the Holy Ghost.
............... adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
[Brother Branham begins humming.] Just speak in your own words now. That's the Holy Spirit that brought you here. Just tell Him you love Him. The same Holy Spirit that raised them up on Pentecost, you stand here crying, weeping, rejoicing.
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
Without reluctance, flesh and blood His
substance, (a little baby in her)
He took the form of man, revealed the
hidden plan.
O glorious mystery, Sacrifice of Calvary,
And now I know Thou art that great "I AM."
O how I love Him! (O God!) How I adore
Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

78 O love that won't let me go, love that grips my heart beyond anything, the sweetness of the presence of the Holy Spirit; while His church is standing around the altar, adoring, looking into the manger, seeing the same thing the wise men saw, God made flesh.
............ became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
If there is anything wrong in your life, confess it now in the presence of the Holy Spirit, while quietly. Look into your heart, see if there is a manger there that can stand the criticism, on your confession that He is God.
All God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

79 With your heads bowed now, just offer a prayer yourself. This is the Holy Spirit. Can't you feel the meekness and gentleness of the Spirit of God, sweetness, lasting life?
"Where there are tongues, they shall cease. Where there is prophecy, it shall fail. Where there is knowledge, it shall fail. But when love is come, it endureth for ever." "Love suffers long. It vaunteth not itself. It is not puffed up. It doesn't misbehave itself, unseemingly. But it humbles us, sweetens us, puts in the sweetness in your soul."

1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

80 Let's pray now, each one in your own way, thanking God for what He's done.
O Lord, in the sweetness of this song, expressing by the keys, not an uncertain sound, but a sound that means (to us) who our God is, as the Word has expressed it. Now the music expresses it. Now our hearts express it, Lord, our attitudes toward You. We come forward. They stand to their feet. They love You. Together, Lord, we stand as Your sheep, the sheep of Your pasture. We love this food; it's good for our souls. And we know that God lives with us. We know that God was emptied into Christ, and Christ was emptied into the church.
And here we stand today, when all kinds of religions, and all kinds of denominations and phases, all kinds of beliefs, but yet the Word speaking for itself, God manifested. The super sign that God is still manifested in the flesh of His people, doing the same signs and wonders, appearing in a form of a cloud, a pillar, dwelling among us, discerning our hearts, foretelling us things to come, healing our sickness, making us so heaven bound that we become beside ourselves. Till, we do things strange, to the children of the world; how they stand by and laugh, and think that we are crazy; just as they did at Pentecost, saying, "Are not all these drunk?"
But how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.

Acts 2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

81 Do you raise your hands now to pledge your faith in God, your vows to God, your loyalty and tributes to God, the church over?
We now, Lord, present ourselves to You, after this blessing of manifestation of Your presence, know that God is still manifested in our flesh. He became our dust, He became our stock; He crossed Himself from God to become man, that man might live in Him. And we felt You this morning, in our spirits. We see Your works and Your manifestations. We love You. We pledge ourselves anew to You: to honor You, to love You, and to do everything that we know how to do, that would be pleasing, to live lives that would be like Christians, that would bring no reproach, but would be a blessing to Your great Holy name. This we do, Lord, as Your children, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

82 I want to ask you something before you take your seat. Did you ever feel such a sweet thing? The sweetness of the Holy Spirit! Nobody to say a word; just automatically rising, coming forward. The glory of God, see.
I've been praying and studying, two days, on this; more than that, since last Sunday, or last, yeah, Sunday.
How that that super sign, how God said, "I will give them a sign. I will be in their flesh. I will be like them; they'll be like Me." He said the angels look over ... the angels said to the shepherds, "Look into the manger; you'll see what I mean." That sign wasn't just for angels. It wasn't just for shepherds. It's for the world to see and believe that God dwells in flesh.
And through the offering of that flesh, He sanctified our flesh, that He might dwell within us; God in you, Christ in you. "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world." Don't forget this. Keep it in your hearts.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

83 I received some mighty fine Christmas presents, a movie camera, and many other things, guns and things, that people love me, they give me. How I appreciate that!
But, oh, this, this eternal life, the blessed assurance that Christ lives in us, that His fullness dwells within us, makes us rise and act different. Because, when you do that, you become a fugitive to the things of the world. You become a pilgrim. You reckon yourself dead to the things of the world, and alive in a new life. Now you're an alien in the world. You're an alien because you've professed plainly, by your action, that "There is a city whose builder and maker is God," see. And you no longer care for these things of the world, but we're a heaven-bound people looking for that city whose builder and maker is God. We are Abraham's Seed because we have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and have died to the things of the world, and have been raised again in the resurrection of His likeness; to walk as Abraham did, seeking a city to come, taking God's Word, calling everything else contrary, to entertain angels in our home, like Abraham did, the messengers of God, that brought the message. Oh, what a time! Professing that we don't want no more of the world, we want Him and Him alone. He is our Saviour.

Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

84 As you journey from this building this morning, take Him with you. Never let it leave. Be sweet in your soul, all the days of your life. God bless you now as you go to your seats, and the children has their presents. God bless you.
Is it to be prayed over? [A sister answers, "Yes."] Stand here, sister. [The sister speaks to Brother Branham] The Lord God be merciful to this brother! Take the drunken spirit off of him, Lord. May he be drunk on new wine of God. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

85 Isn't this just heavenly? How many feels that, just a sweetness? Nobody knows what to say. I don't know nothing to say. I'm just ... I'm... I am baffled for words. I don't know what to say. Just His Spirit just move in, see.
What is it? You are becoming lambs, and the Dove is here to lead you to lamb's food, sheep food. This is sheep food. "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Our spirits live on that.

Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

86 I think now I am to see my good friend, Attorney Robertson, if you'll just wait at the building long enough so I can change my clothes, get back, because I'm sweaty.
Brother Neville will take the service over now, for the gifts for the children. The Lord bless you.
Always sing "Down From His Glory." When you do that, remember what we believe in Him, "All God's fullness dwelleth in Him."
God bless you, Brother Neville.
[Brother Neville speaks to Brother Branham.] Yeah, if you want me to. ["Yes."]
Brother Neville asked me if I would come back tonight, again, to preach tonight again. I hate to take his service. But I'm here; that's what I'm here for. Okay, I will be back tonight, the Lord willing, to speak on the service.

Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

A Super Sign

1 Thank you, Brother Borders. Let's remain standing just a moment for prayer, while we bow our heads. Now it's the closing of this five-day campaign, and we are thankful for what the Lord has done. I wonder if there is still requests, which I'm sure there is, be made known by just lifting up your hand, and saying, "Lord, remember me now."

2 Our heavenly Father, we are coming again to the close of a meeting, which is always ... and especially this one, it brings a little sentimental, sorrowful feeling to our heart, for we have come to learn and love one another, with godly respects and brotherly love. We thank Thee for all that You have done for us, the mercies that's been granted us. You have did for us the exceedingly, abundantly more than we expected, and we're bowing our heads in humility and giving thanks to You.
And I pray, Father, that You'll bless every request that was behind those hands. That's all I know to do, is lay my prayer and my faith upon the altar, with theirs, and ask in the name of the Lord Jesus that You will grant every request.
Now, Father, we pray today that at the closing of the service ... and we seen You save the lost through the week, and we pray now that You will heal the sick today, for us. Grant that there will not be any feeble people among us when the service is over today, but may every person be healed. Bless all the efforts and all that's put forth, any time and effort, may it be blessed, Father. We commit all the results to You, and trust to meet again somewhere this side the river. If not, we know we'll meet over there. Until then, keep us healthy, happy in the service of God. In the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. You may be seated.

3 I just know, or hardly know, rather, where to start and what to say. I will first say that I will always have a great respect for a brother that called me to come to this valley, and that's Brother Fred Friedmeyer. I think he's a friend to Brother Harrel.
And the little Arganbright family. Mrs. Arganbright was here last night, and little Mama and Papa Arganbright. Mrs. Arganbright's people, I don't know what her name was before she was married, but they were the early settlers that come in here in old wagons, and ox, and so forth, and settled up right here in Grass Valley. Here's where she's always dreamed of. They follow me in the meetings.

4 Brother Arganbright and I have missionaried almost the world over. He's stood with me in great battles; when I've seen as many as twenty or thirty witch doctors come and challenge, and sit on both sides, and call a storm right into existence. You think they can't do it? You just haven't been a missionary, that's all. They can do it. But I seen the power of Almighty God break that storm right in the middle, and peel one place back, and the other, like that, and see thirty thousand swarm to the altar at one time to receive Christ. It's really something to be on the mission fields! I want to...

5 If Mrs. Arganbright is here again this afternoon, God ever bless her and Papa Arganbright! I didn't get to see her, to shake her hand, no more than back of the building. They've been really papa and mama to me.
Brother Arganbright is overseas at this time. I'm to meet him right away. We're going to Anchorage, Alaska, to establish a Christian Businessmen's, Full Gospel Businessmen's Chapter. I speak for this group, world-wide. I'm going into Africa to organize some chapters down there. I want to thank them.
And Mrs. Arganbright, if you're present, no wonder you was so happy for this little valley. Or, I guess it's a valley, it's called Grass Valley. How I've heard her talk about so many fine people! I met them.

6 And I want to say to the people that's with me, my group around here and the people that's visiting, come here with me, this no doubt is our queen meeting of the eleven meetings I've had scheduled. This is my seventh one. And this is the queen meeting, I believe, of all that I've had. I haven't dealt at all this week on sick people; I have just stayed with the Word. And it's been such a thing, as you can feel where people take the Word, or not.

7 My wife, in the meeting, she sat back here last night. When I went home, she said to me, she said, "Bill." Now, she is a very smart girl, very fine discernment in, oh, natural discernment; I don't mean she has a spiritual discernment, Just ... she said, "Those people believe you. Those people love you." She said, "You could have a real meeting there." She said, "Everyone watched every word you said, and hung right onto it." And said, "You could just see the expression on their face when they looked, they believed it."
I said, "Honey, that's the first night, when I walked in there I perceived that."
Long as I live, I'll never forget this little visit at Grass Valley. I have been in bigger places, of course, bigger crowds, but never any sweeter bunch of people did I ever preach to than here at Grass Valley. And I want to thank the people.

8 They tell me that all the money was taken up to pay for the meeting, a night or two ago. And last night they give a missionary offering to me, and today they said they give a love offering to me. Now, it wasn't necessary. I didn't come for that. I've never, in my life, ever taken an offering. I get a salary from my church, of a hundred dollars a week. What money is sent in, we hold it and put it in missions, all of it. Then when we get enough to leave, to go in the mission fields, then I go. Therefore, we're not one bit a burden.
I was talking to Brother Harrel. He asked me to come over to Acre He believes this ministry would be effective there. It's more effective overseas than it is here. Them people, they want it. They got to see something.

9 And so I'm waiting for that great time when I will go to Israel someday, to bring the gospel to them. I was right close to it, recently, had my ticket already bought. And I was at ... I was in Egypt, and a half hour I'd have been over there. And the Holy Spirit, just as definite as you hear my voice, said, "This is not the hour for the Jew yet." Israel will be saved as a nation. The whole nation will come at once. God deals with Israel as a nation, we all know that. See, not as an individual; a nation. And He wouldn't let me go, remember.

10 How many ever heard of Lewi Pethrus? Many of you. The Stockholm church. He sent a million Bibles down there. You seen in the Life magazine where they was bringing up those Jews from down in Iran, and so forth, and they never had known what ... was still plowing with old wooden instruments and things, and it showed the picture of ships. I've got it, called "Three Minutes Till Midnight," and where we took the pictures of them coming in, packing their loved ones on their back, their old. And they said, they interviewed them, them Jews. They said, "Are you coming to the homeland to die?"
Said, "We're coming to see the Messiah."

11 When the fig tree puts forth its buds, that generation will see Him. Just does something to me! They're looking for a Messiah. Brother Pethrus give them these little New Testaments. A Jewish Bible reads from the back to the front, you know. And so they was reading it. And when they did, they said, "If this..." They never heard nothing about Jesus.
They had been down there for two thousand years, and they wouldn't even get on those planes. And they didn't know ... Looked like a bird, to them. They never knowed nothing about it. So their priest stood out, their rabbi, rather, and he stood out and he said, "Listen! Our prophet told us that we would be carried back to the homeland on the wings of an eagle."
You see how close we are, friend? We're at the door. Remember, when the gospel goes to the Jew, the Gentile is finished, the door is closed. See how close it is?

Exodus 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

Mark 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

Luke 21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

Luke 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

12 And then they come. "Got on the plane when our rabbi told us that when our ... we will turn back to the homeland." The prophet told them. They always believe their prophets. "And the prophet said we would return on the wings of an eagle." There it was, that bird, the airplane.
They got off, they said, "Looking for a Messiah." They wasn't looking for the homeland; they was looking to see the Messiah. When the Jew goes to looking for that, something is at hand. They read this book, and they said, "We believe our prophets, and we know Messiah is going to be a prophet when He comes." Said, "If this be the messiah, then He is a-living, let us see Him do the sign of the prophet. We'll believe Him." Hmm! What a perfect, what a perfect thing!

Exodus 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

13 I'd like to call five or six hundred of them together, say, "You mean that? Let's see whether He is alive, or not. And right on the grounds where your fathers rejected Him, now receive Him." The Gentile is finished then.
Get in, quickly, stay in right quick. Not, I don't mean to get sentimental, but I know we're at the end. Now, just something inside of me tells me that something is fixing to happen. It just can't go on. We're just here. Everything has done taken place. I don't know when. It might be today yet, it might be next week, it may be five years, may be ten years. I don't know. But it just seems to be it's awful close. I'm looking for it. We can't live much longer like this. We know we can't.
So, I love you for listening to the Word. God bless you. I'll ever pray for you.
And I want to ask you a favor. That is, when ... I'm fixing to go overseas now. And when the nights are dark, and witch doctors on every side, it's cloudy and heavy, you'll pray for me, won't you? I'll be remembering it.

14 I want to thank the people from this auditorium. This is a nice, beautiful place, seated so nice, and everything so nice. I don't know who it is, whether it's the officer a day, or whatever takes pla... ever committee of them. Whatever it is, I want to thank them for this nice building. I want to thank each one of you for your cooperation.
I want to thank you for the offering. I'll do the very best, by the grace of God, to see it goes to the kingdom of God, to do for the kingdom. You've put part of your living in there. I know it.

15 And I love you. Many times when I have to shake the things that I do, it's because of love, love corrective. Love always... You seen your little child out there in the street, you wouldn't say, "Poor little fellow, just let him alone." You'd get him in, out of that street, and correct him, see, 'cause he'd get killed. I don't want you to miss it, friends. I want you to stay right with it.
Then I want to thank my brethren. Stand up here a minute, will you, brethren? Come here just a minute. Thrills my heart.
"All things work together for good to them that love God." Over Sedalia, where I wanted to go so bad. I had so many letters in there. Brother Borders, when he got down there, he said, somehow another they kind of turned me down, on account of something I had said on a tape, some doctrine. They didn't care for it. So that was all right, that's every fellow, you know. But they didn't know what they were doing. If they would have took it, I couldn't have come to Grass Valley. The reason they turned it down (they didn't know it), it was God bringing me to Grass Valley.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

16 Here we stand this afternoon. I got four cooperating ministers here. One of them is Assembly of God, which is a great church, a great group of people, they've helped sponsor me world-over. The next is Church of God, another great group of Pentecostal people, helped sponsor me world-over. Next is the United, or the Pentecostal Oneness, another fine group of people that's helped sponsor me world-over. Just left Los Angeles, where forty-some-odd churches of greater Los Angeles, of the United Pentecostal Church, sponsored the meeting at the Cow Palace; or, we call it Cow Palace, great stock exhibits. One of them is interdenominational.

17 You know what, I want to tell you something. It's many of the organizations of these men has been the times that's turned me down on things that I've said. But these men, I understand that they've been bringing the groups together and praying. That's what done it. Look, we're human beings, the four of us standing here this afternoon in unity and brotherhood. I don't know where I'd ever stand with anything better, this side of heaven. I mean that. I'm not saying that just to be acting; I've got other things I can be saying. But, I mean that. It just goes to show what you can do when you put your heart together.
Them great organizations are wonderful, they're fine, they got fine men in all of them. I preach for all of them, and know it's the truth. How I could remember the Assemblies of God, how they come to my rescue many times! I remember the Church of God up there in Tennessee, when I went up there and rented a big auditorium; and come to find out, some brother had wrote me and he had one little church in the bottom, and that great big Lee College come together, they packed six thousand out, the second night, and the mayor of the town and them couldn't even get in. I'll never forget it. How many times the little Oneness churches stood by me in the mission fields and everywhere else. The interdenominational, wherever they are, they're real men of God in those places.

18 Now, that's the reason God deals with individuals. Never did He deal with groups, see. In the time of Noah, of the antediluvian destruction, He had Noah. The time of calling out of Israel, He had Moses. Coming of Christ, John the Baptist. In the days of Christ, Jesus. In the days of Luther, Luther. In the days of Wesley, Wesley. See, it's just an individual. That's correctly. Men of God, who God has dealt with.
And now, in the differences, I might say this. To see men who brings their groups together, and pray one, brethren, don't never let that stop. Just keep that going, whatever you do, it's all ...

19 Now, when we started across the country. I'm a lover of a Ford. I like a Ford. My boy loves a Chevrolet just the same. He's just as much for the Chevy as I am for the Ford. Well, he tells me, "Your rattletrap Ford will not make it." I said, "Your old junker Chevy won't." But you know what? He remained my son; I remained his daddy. We stayed in our car and we both got here, because we was looking to something greater than a Ford or a Chevy. You know what I mean.
When I go to buy ice cream for my children, one of them will say "vanilla," the other one say "chocolate," the other one say "strawberry," the other one say "orange." When I come back, I got a rainbow color. So many differences! That's only in taste. It's all ice cream. And in a...
Here it stands today. We're all borned of the same Spirit. Denomination is only taste. It's all ice cream. It's all Spirit of God. And you know what? A rainbow makes a covenant. Let's stay this way, brethren. God bless you. Let's stay, see, a rainbow covenant.

20 God, God doesn't dwell in a Sears and Roebuck Harmony House, anyhow. God is a God of variety. Did you know that? Why does He make red flowers, blue flowers, pink flowers, all different kinds of flowers? Why didn't He just make them all white or all red? Why did He make big mountains, little mountains; palm trees, oak trees? Why did He do it? Because He likes variety. You know what I mean? He likes variety. Why did He make the mountain, then the plain, the real dry desert, then the wet sea? He's a God of variety. But He wants it all to harmonize. That's why He made me with ears, nose, mouth; you the same way. It all harmonizes for one body.
That's the way we can do, harmonize. And our different opinions, we still harmonize because (we are) the taste has nothing to do with it. We are God's people, all marching together with one great purpose, to win souls for Christ. May it ever be that way! May this great bouquet of God's gathering together here be an everlasting bouquet until He comes to take us home. My sincere desire is that.

21 Now, today, we have placed a time for healing, praying for the sick. I've had such a glorious time meeting the people on the street, hearing them, sitting, the Holy Spirit leading me to places.
This morning I went in to eat breakfast, there sat a man sitting there. He may be sitting right here now. There he was sitting there, a minister from up around Tennessee. He had a big plate full of fried potatoes, and ham and eggs. He just started screaming, said, "Brother Branham, before I met you, I couldn't do this. I had an ulcered stomach." He said, "Now I eat what I want to, by the grace of God."
Another one said, "I didn't have any children, barren. Now I've got five boys."
There you are! See, "It's just the grace of God," that's what it is, see, "shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost." God ever bless you! Thank you, so much. Thank the ushers, to everything that's been done. God bless you. And I hope to get back with you again. Until I get to come, pray one with another, one for another. And include me in your prayers, if you do that. God bless you.
Now, let's bow our heads now for just a word before we start a little text for the healing service.

Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

22 Gracious heavenly Father, it's such a great thing to meet Your children. I remember one time standing on the street, nobody would talk to me, from the family life, poor, bad name. Some man talking, then somebody else come up, walked away and left me standing there. And now people over the world! No wonder You said, "He that will forsake all, I'll give him fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers. In this world, all these things; and eternal life in the world to come." How we thank Thee!
Pray, heavenly Father, now, that grace and mercy will rest upon us as we trust Thee and serve Thee in our day. Be with us now. Bless everything that's done. Bless these people. O God, I don't know how to say... If I've found grace in Your sight, answer every request for them. May there be no feeble among them. May they be healed.

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

23 Bless these pastors. Bless their churches. Oh God, I pray that these converts this week will find a home in some of these good churches here. Let them know that they are the men who stood here on the platform, and has backed up and prayed for me, and stood behind me. God, if I lived here, I'd want to belong to one of them, myself. I pray that You will bless them. May there be an old-fashioned revival break out in every one of their churches, that will just start the fireballs of God rolling across the country. Grant it, Lord. Heal the sick in their meetings; save the lost; fill with the Holy Ghost. And keep it going, Father, until You send Jesus. Grant it, for we ask it in His name and for His glory. Amen.

24 Now, to the young converts that's here, that's been converted during the time of this meeting, that we've tried to do everything we could to help. Now we want you to find one of these churches of your choice, which one you desire to go to, and there go, and be baptized, and be filled with the Holy Ghost, and stay as long as you live, make a real good worker in one of these fine churches. They believe the message that I have preached, or they wouldn't have had me here or be here to back me up in prayer. They turned their congregations loose, therefore they're shepherds; I wouldn't say one thing to hurt, because I would be a destroyer of sheep. And I don't want to do that. I want to help sheep, feed sheep-food. That's the reason I try to stay right with the Word.

25 Now I want to speak for just a little while. And I wonder, is my voice coming all right up in the balcony, can you hear me? I thought I noticed the people moving around. Ever who is... Maybe I got this in transposition. Is this one? No. This one, is that better? This one, that's still better? All right. I'll take this one here and speak from this.
Now, let's settle down now. And excuse my sentimental feeling, I was going to say melancholy. I can't help it. About time I start to meet somebody, and get to loving them, get acquainted one another, then we have to say, "Bye-bye, see you again someday." I hate to do that. But I want to tell you, someday we're going to meet where we're not going to say good-bye no more. That's right, just beyond the river! And, oh, I got so many things I'd like to tell you about it, of experiences, wish I had three or four weeks just too stay here. And, but maybe, the Lord willing, I can come back sometime and we'll continue on.

26 Now just to continue, the reason of me speaking on Abraham, I just couldn't get him up to the top of the mountain. I had so many things to tell about him down here, where he was having his journey. And I did that to build faith in you, let you know that you are heirs with him. You are Abraham's seed. When you are dead in Christ, you're Abraham's seed, and heirs with him according to the promise. Think of it! How many in here is borned-again Christians? Raise your hands. Looks like a hundred percent. Then you are the seed of Abraham, and are heirs with him. You are heirs. Everything that He did for Abraham. He's promised to do for you. And the Word here is His promise, so just hold onto it now.

Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

27 And let's read some of it. I want to read out of the book of Isaiah, for a little text, to gather a context. Isaiah, the 7th chapter, 14th verse.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel.
Now from there I would like to draw a text, of this, "A Super Sign."

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

28 We are living in a day of everything must be super. It don't sell; it's got to be super. It's just a super day. We ever... The old corner grocery is about gone, where we used to go down on Saturday night and pay the grocery bill, and the little corner store. Why? The big super market run it out.
I visited one of your super markets. I have a little story to tell you about it. This water here, it's good water, it's good and cold. But it kind of made all of us sick, changing water, so the kiddies got sick. And my wife, we went down to the super market here, to see if they had some water. And the lady pointed over on a shelf. And we went over there, and it looked like beer in cans. I went back, and I said, "Is that water?"
She said, "Read it."
So, it was water. I got a case of those cans. I felt about that big coming out, packing those cans. I thought, "What if some Christian seen me packing these? Would I ever be able to explain that it was water?"
So, then when I got down to my motel. The lady was a Christian that runs the place, very fine people. And she said, "Well, my husband said he was very thankful we had no beer cans to pack out this week."
I said, "Lady, did you notice the water cans?" I wanted to be sure that she noticed it was water. And walking around with this bunch of cans in my hand, you know, but it's canned water.
Now, so, the super markets, the big places, they have things that the little corner store didn't pack. It's super market.

29 And then my old model A, it's out of date, anymore. My Ford, that Billy differs with me, coming out here... By the way, his radiator in his new Chevy boiled all the way out here, and my brakes burnt up in my Ford. So, you see, it took God to get us out here, anyhow. So that's what we have, it's just to opinion. They both brought us here because we trusted in God, and not the Chevy or the Ford. So, but now...
My first one I had was a model T. I've had a Ford ever since. And I always claimed the thing would do thirty miles an hour. It was very much doubted, but I had ... I would go fifteen miles an hour this way, and fifteen miles an hour this a-way, you know. So, between it, I got thirty miles an hour.
But now they got a super, my, it really whizzes you over the ground. We couldn't sell the old T model no more, because it's a day of super. Everything has got to be super. And now they've even got super jets, super highways.

30 Why, these cars that we got today, couldn't run over these highways we used to have. My first trip West, it taken me sixteen days to go from Jeffersonville to Phoenix, Arizona, eighteen hundred miles. But, my, the most of it, was 1926, they had nothing but just old rock roads. I was a little boy sitting there, holding this spool-top Ford, I thought I was making good time. It would have took a horse two or three months to do it, if my daddy would have come.
But you see now, what happened all at once? Six thousand years has been the same man. But right here in the last fifty years, he's come from a horse and buggy, to a jet or a rocket. Why? The Bible said they would "run to and fro" in these last days, "and knowledge shall increase." It's a sign of the end time.

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

31 Super, everything must be super; it won't work. Even, they want super people. They tell me they got a television cast they call "Superman." Always something super! Two or three of them has committed suicide, or something, trying to work that mental mind up. Brother, we're at the age of insanity, everything has become so super.
We're just human beings. And they want a super race. Hitler said that Germany was the super race. Stalin said that Russians was a super race. Something wrong somewhere. They're all made off of one tree, so the Bible said, that, "God, by one man, one blood, made all nations; one man, Adam." From that Adam come all races, black, white, brown, yellow, red, whatever it is, God brought it from that one blood. Each one of us can give each other a blood transfusion. The country we was raised in and turned our skins different colors, it's still the same man.
And I've noticed, as a missionary. No doubt, brother could say the same. I've been in the Hottentots, to where they didn't even know which was right and left hand. But let them receive the Holy Ghost, they do the same thing you do when you get the Holy Ghost. That's right! Act the same way, speak in unknown tongues, do just the same things that you do with the Holy Ghost. Sure! And they really are on fire.

32 Now all these, super, super! Now they're leaving the earth, going up into orbits, and astronauts, and so forth. They got everything so super! What is it speaking of, all this? Of a sign of oncoming darkness! That's right.
Man has always tried to make himself an achievement by his own knowledge. That's been his model all the time, of trying to achieve something by his own knowledge. It started out in the beginning, at the garden of Eden. Adam, as soon as he fell from grace, he tried to achieve something, he tried to achieve a super church, that is, a way of redemption without atonement. He tried to achieve a church, his way back into the garden, without an atonement. And he's tried the same thing all along. The fallen Adam today tries the same thing, to achieve a super church, some great intellectual, some great eye-catcher, and the beauty.

33 Now, if we only realize that there's only one way back, and that is the way that God first recommended: the blood.
Cain, he built a church, made a sacrifice, gave an offering, sincere, and prayed; and if God condemned him and received Abel, upon the same basis, God did wrong if He did that. But, Cain come his own way. And Abel come God's provided way, the revelation that it wasn't fruit (as some people thinks today) that drove Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden.
Now, this is a remark. I say it just not to make a bad remark, but just to make a point, not a joke. But, I've always said, the people believe (that's why I was turned down in that other meeting) that it was apples or something that Eve ate, that caused the fall. If eating apples caused women to realize they're naked, we had better pass the apples again. That's exactly right. Yes, sir. It wasn't apples, and don't you never let anybody poke that down your throat.

34 Why did she realize she was naked? Absolutely! Why did life come by that, that perverted life? God, the great contractor, had all the bodies laid out here on the earth, of calcium, potash, petroleum; He was going to create it and make it. But she bypassed the way of God. Yes, sir. What did Adam do when he come to his wife? When he come to her, he found her pregnant (just exactly) of an evil, her own exception ... conception had received foul seed. Jehovah, before He could marry, His wife did the same thing. And Jesus, before He could get to His bride, she had organized herself and become the Roman Catholic church. Same thing!
But He will have a bride, don't you worry, that will be bought with His Word, just exactly what He told Eve to stay with. He will have a church, amen, that will be bought by His Word!

35 Now we find out, all this trying to achieve something great, make some kind of a great memorial to their own name, something super.
Nimrod, one time he wanted to achieve a way to go to heaven without any atonement, so he built a super tower. There's many towers, but He tried to build a super tower. What happened to it? It fell.
Along come Nebuchadnezzar, he built a super city. Thought he could build these big walls up, walled wide enough you could run a chariot race around them, and the great iron gates and the things that he built. Put the river right through the middle; a type of heaven. Swinging gardens in his throne, right by the river, like the river Euphrates; and like the river of life in the garden of Eden, and the river of life in the kingdom of God. And what happened? It fell, because it could not stand.

36 Our own nation, as a sister to England, always was jealous of her navy. So we tried to build a ship one time that could not be sunk, called the "Titanic." But she went down just the same! And the song, as the poet wrote, "God, with His mighty hand, shows this world it cannot stand." That's right.
France built what they call the Siegfried Line. And they put their guns all out there, got back here, women, wine, whatever more, live in sin. And if Germany ever marched on them, they would shoot them right down, because they had the Siegfried Line built, fortified in concrete. But what happened? The Germans marched right behind it and blowed them out of it. Wouldn't work.
Germany tried. They made them a Maginot Line, got down in the earth so deep, fortified in concrete and things. What did the Americans do? Send in the blockbuster, and blowed them right out of it.

37 Man is trying to achieve something, make a sign of his own work, trying to do something.
Churches today are trying to get more members into them, make their organization greater. Instead of accepting the revelations of God, they pull off and make a sectarian thing out of it. That's what's the trouble, any organization! I am not against my brethren in organization. I love my brethren. But when an organization writes up their documents and signs it with a period; if they would sign it with a comma, it would be all right. If you say, "I believe this, plus all that God will add to us." Amen, that's good. But when you say, "We believe this, and this is it! And we don't want nothing else into it," then you law God right out of the picture when you do that. That's right.

38 Oh, super denomination! They've tried to educate people. Education is a good thing, but it'll never take the place of salvation. It cannot. God's program is not education, civilization; but salvation! But man has tried to make a super church.
The world is trying to make a super nation, with the bombs and so forth. What did they do? Till they got themselves in such a place till they're afraid of one another. One touch! It don't take a whole army, anymore. The little nations, anywhere, they can make a touch and, what it is, the whole world would be blowed up in a second. You don't have to have some great nation like Russia. Why, a little bitty place, an island somewhere, can do the same work. And they're standing there, radar posts, great missiles by the thousands sitting ready, with atomic and hydrogen weapons that could fly in. Russia could touch one trigger this afternoon, and this whole United States would sink beneath the earth. And the United States could touch one trigger and sink Russia beneath the earth. That's right!

39 I've heard the men, the scientists in the field, that's got so scared they've come out seeking God, and found the Holy Ghost. They don't know what to do! Oh, I tell you, you can't dig down to get away from it.
We got a shelter, though. It's not made out of steel. It's made out of feathers; under His wings where we rest, waiting. When the bomb flies, don't worry about that. We'll be flying, too, right up to meet Him in the air; caught up to meet Him, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. So, you see the great super things that's got scare, one to another.
It's got to a place that we tried to build a super church. Now, you know that I was ordained in a missionary Baptist church. And the Baptist people, in 1944, made a slogan, "We want a million more in '44." I went to a rally where they was having it, a Sunday school rally, and they had to dismiss the church so the pastors could go outside and smoke. That's right. And then women sitting in there, half naked, and things like that, just because only thing they had to do was put their name on a book. I've got great respects for Baptist, Presbyterian, or anything that names the name of Jesus Christ. But, what I mean, we've got to get back to God's way of doing it. Not so much we try... They want...

40 The Baptists wants to be the biggest group. The Presbyterian wants to be the biggest group. The Pentecostals, the Oneness, wants to be the biggest group. The Assemblies wants to be the biggest group. The rest of them wants to be the biggest group. Let's get that out of our head! There's only one group, and that's the blood-washed saints of the living God, that's been predestinated since the foundation of the world. And no seed, I don't care what it is, if it's not germitized, it will not come up. I don't care how many times you join church, how many denominations you belong to; unless that life of yours is germitized by the Holy Spirit, you'll never go in the rapture, you'll never raise from that place that you go beneath the grave. That's right.

41 Yeah, super church, super denominations, everything is super. Well, what has it always done? Everything that man put his hands on has failed. (Now I begin to feel religious.) Why? He's a failure to start with. And everything that he has tried to achieve has failed.
We got the day of the greatest medicines we ever had, and yet it kills about as many as it cures. That's right. We got the day of everything, seems to be greater. But look what it's doing, it's knocking the life out of the people. I stood in Africa and watched the malaria mosquitoes, just by the piles, upon a native's leg, wouldn't hurt him; let one touch me, I'd be so full of all kinds of things they shot in my arms to go over there, I'd take malaria the first time one passed by me. See, it tears down the system. It might help here where it hinders here. It weakens us all the time.
And look what we got today, a bunch of ... I hate to say this, this sounds sacrilegious; but almost a bunch of educated idiots. That's right. I say, as a missionary, it's a lot better to deal with an uneducated heathen than it is to deal with an educated heathen. A heathen is "unbeliever." That's exactly right. Oh, it's such a terrific thing of this day that we live, how horrible!

42 Now notice again, a super, all these things. Hitler tried to make a super race. Pharaoh tried to make a super race. I stood in Egypt, to try to see the thrones where Pharaoh set. You'd dig twenty feet beneath the earth to find their thrones. I've stood in Rome where the Caesars, it's all... You can't even find the place unless you dig way down, the sunken walls and so forth, where the Caesars was. Why? It shows that anything that man does is corruptible. What is it all? All those things has fell to history and dust.
What makes a man want to do that? What does that? Is because there's something behind it, and he tries to take his own way instead of taking God's way of it. That's the reason they try to build super denominations. That's the reason they try to build super transportation, super cities, and so forth, it's because that there is something back there. That's what makes a man want to carry on and get drunk. Why does he do it?

43 Why does a woman want to strip herself off? Listen, sisters. This has become a nudist camp, almost. Don't you let that spirit get on you. It's a spirit. Believe me, as a servant of Christ. It's a devil; keep it off of you. Pray the blood of Christ keep it away from you. I don't care what church you belong to, that means nothing to me or nothing to God. The thing it is, is, are you right with God? Then the whole, you don't have to pick...
I live in a country where they have oak trees, scrub oak. And in springtime, the wintertime has passed by, and there is all the old dead leaves hanging on the oak tree. Now how we going to get some new leaves? You don't have to go out and pick off the old leaf. Just let the new life come in, the old leaf drops off.
And that's the way it is with Christ. When Christ comes in, the world drops out, automatically. When people say that they're born of the Spirit of God, and still love the things of the world, the Bible said, "If you love the world or the things of the world, the love of God is not even in you." How can we do those things?

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

44 We're trying to build super things. Now, it's all rotten, it's all dust, it'll all return to the dust. So, man desires to see a super sign.
And God said, one time, "I'm going to give them a super sign. I'm going to give them people a super sign."
The Jews want signs. Everybody wants signs. And they want signs. The world today wants signs. They're trying to make their own signs. But God give them a sign! That's right. The zigzag lightning on a black, stormy night, shows that there can be light in the time of darkness. That's right.
God said, "I'm going to give them a sign: a virgin shall conceive!" How humble He made it! This is a super sign. "A virgin shall conceive and bear a child, a son, and His name shall be called Immanuel, 'God with us.'" There is the super sign!

45 How striking it ought to be, that God Himself would become a baby! How that God so loved the world! That's one of the greatest scriptures there is, how that, "The love of God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." The very dust that He created on the earth, He become that dust. How striking it ought to be! God, Emmanuel, changing His cast from God to a man, stretching his tent from the stars of heaven, to live here on earth with filthy creatures as we are. The love of God, how that He would do it!
How striking it ought to be to the sinner, to know that little Jehovah crying in a mother's arms, little Jehovah, not come in the polish of an angel. He come as Abraham's seed. He come as a man. He never come down the golden corridors of heaven. If it would, it would be for the rich. But He was born in a manger, so poor He had to borrow a womb to be borned in. And when He left, He had to borrow a grave to be buried in. Jehovah, Emmanuel, a super sign! Amen.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

46 God sent prophets, he sent signs, He sent everything. But said, "I'll give you the super sign now, the great sign; Me, Myself, I'm coming down to dwell among you, be called 'Emmanuel.'" It ought to strike the people; Himself made flesh and dwelt among us! Born in a dirty, stinking stable; little Jehovah, not laying in a pink basket in a hospital room, but in a stinking manger over a manure pile in a barn. Emmanuel! The creator of heavens and earth, with swaddling cloth on! Hallelujah! Little Jehovah playing as a kid, Jehovah as a teenager, Jehovah as a carpenter, it ought to be striking! But, it's so dull, the world misses it a million miles.

Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

47 A woman not long ago, I was preaching on the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and she said, "Mr. Branham, I appreciate your preaching, but" said, "there's one thing you do that I certainly don't agree with you."
And I said, "What is it, sister? If there's just one thing, I'm thankful to meet you," I said, "because usually it's about a hundred things."
And she said, "Well, there's one thing outstanding." 'Course, she belonged to a church that don't believe in the deity of Christ; just like when I see today when they go to push Him back, and just make a prophet out of Him. Oh, my! She said, "You brag too much about Jesus. You make Him divine."
I said, "He was divine!"
"Why," she said, "He couldn't be divine."
I said, "Well, He was divine."
She said, "Well, He can't be. I'll prove to you by your own Bible that He's not divine."
I said, "I'd like to see you do it."
And she said, "All right, take your Bible and turn to St. John, the 11th chapter."
I said, "All right. I know just what you're going to say, 'cause I practically know it by heart."
And she said, "Jesus, on his road down to raise Lazarus out of the grave, the Bible said, 'He wept.' "
Well, I said, "Sure."
And she said, "Well, now, how could He be divine, and weep?"
I said, "That was the man part weeping. That's right. You fail to see that He was Emmanuel. He was both man and God." I said, "He was a man going to the grave, weeping. But when He pulled them little shoulders together and said, 'Lazarus, come forth,' and a man that had been dead four days, and stinking, come forth and lived again, that took more than a man!" Right.

John 11:35 Jesus wept.

John 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

John 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

48 He was a man when He come off the mountain that night, hungry, looking on a tree to find something to eat. But when He took five biscuits and two fish, and fed five thousand, that was more than a man. That was the creator, Jehovah! Right.
He was a man when He was laying on that ship that night, and the ten thousand devils of the sea swore they would drown Him. Bouncing out there like a bottle stopper, when the waves come up. He was so tired from preaching till He couldn't even move, didn't even wake Him up. But when once He was aroused, hallelujah, went forth and put His foot upon the brail of the boat, and looked up and said, "Peace, be still," that was more than a man. That was God who could still the waves of the sea.
It was a man that cried for mercy at the cross, "My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" But on Easter morning when He broke the seals of death, hell, and the grave, and rose up again and said, "I am He that was dead, and alive forevermore," that was more than a man. That was God in His Son. Amen.

Matthew 14:17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

Matthew 14:21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Mark 6:38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

Mark 6:44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Luke 9:13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

Luke 9:14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

49 Every man that's ever amounted to a hill of beans, believed that; every poet that's thrilled every heart, that's ever done anything.
Eddie Perronet, that wrote the inauguration song. His songs wouldn't sell. One day the Spirit grabbed a hold of him, he took the quill in his hand, he wrote with the Spirit, "All hail the power of Jesus' name, let angels prostrate fall; bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all." Amen.
Old blind Fanny Crosby, one night she was asked why she wouldn't write worldly songs. She said, "I'm a Christian." How much different she is from Elvis Presley! They said, why, the man made fun of her, said, "There is no such a thing." Said, "What do you mean, if He won't open your eyes?"
She said, "God has chose my lot."
And he said, "Well, how will you ever know? If you die, and there is such a place, you can't see Him."
She said, "I'll have my sight over there."
"Well," said, "what if you haven't got your sight?"
She said, "I'll know Him, anyhow."
Said, "How do you think you'll know Him?"
Said, "I'll feel the nail prints in His hands." Then she turned, and inspiration struck her, and she sang, "I shall know, yes, I shall know Him, and redeemed by His side I shall stand; I shall know Him by the nail prints in His hand." My! She wrote, "Pass me not, O gentle Saviour, hear my humble cry; while on others Thou art calling, do not pass me by. For, Thou the stream of all my comfort, more than life to me; whom have I on earth beside Thee, or whom in heaven but Thee?"

50 Sure, anybody that ever amounted to anything, believed Him to be Emmanuel! He was more than a prophet. He was a prophet, but He was a God-prophet; Emmanuel, God in flesh.
He never come with the salute of heaven. He never come as an angel. He come as Abraham's seed, to show the last-day super sign of God. Oh, yes, to make a super seed, a super race, the race that had been promised, Abraham's race, to bring forth a super seed that we've been talking about, a super Christ.
What did they do to Him when He come on earth? They made fun of Him. They called the Spirit that was working in Him, where He could discern spirits, and so forth, they said, "It's the devil. He is Beelzebub, a fortune-teller." And in the physical part, the body part, they hung it on a tree and put Him to death.

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

51 But He was a super sign! He rose up again on the third day, for He trusted the Word of God. David said, under inspiration, "I'll not leave His soul in hell, neither will I suffer My holy one to see corruption." Therefore Jesus knew that the Scripture spoke of Him, that He would not see corruption. Corruption sets in in seventy-two hours, on a dead body. We know that. And he knowed, some time between that, He would raise from the dead. And He rose up from the dead, for He was a super sign. The prophets were signs, sure, but they died and went into the grave. But Jesus was the super sign, He come out of the grave! Amen. Super race! Yes, sir. A super Christ!
After two thousand years now, two thousand years, with all the critics and everything else. He still remains the same today! "I'll give you a super sign, a great sign." The people want something super, so the church got something super. Not just a handshake, not just a formal baptism; but a baptism of the Holy Ghost! Not just an actual, dry-eyed confession; but a Spirit of Christ living in them, bringing their very life up to a place that serves Christ and live with Christ.

Psalm 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 13:35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

52 Now, the Bible said, last night where we left off, Abraham, told Abraham in Genesis, 22nd chapter, 16th and 17th verse; He said, "Thy seed shall possess the gate of its enemy. Your seed, Abraham, will possess the gate of the enemy.
When Rebekah had been chose for Isaac, the son, it was also said the same to her. When Eliezer, a type of the Holy Spirit that come to find the bride, he found her in the cool of the evening. Get what it is? This day, last day, last part of the day, when the evening lights are shining, He found her.
And notice, he had to deal with two different people. She had a family. But the only one that Eliezer had to deal with was her mother and her brother.
And he said, "Now, what if the woman won't come with me?"
Said, "Then if she won't come, then you're free from your oath." Then he put his hand on his hip, and swore by it.

Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Genesis 24:5 And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

Genesis 24:8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

Genesis 24:9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

53 Notice, Eliezer found the woman, he knowed that was her. And notice, he had to deal with two people, her mother and the brother. The father, rest of them, had nothing to say. Mother and brother!
So has the messenger, the Holy Ghost of God, in this last days, picking out the bride. He's had to deal with the church that calls itself the "mother," the Catholic; and the "brother," the preacher. That's exactly. He had to deal with those two. They was the one that kicked up a fuss about it.
But now he said, "You've got to make your choice. Will you go?"
And look, quickly, as soon as she heard about Isaac, before she had ever saw him, she said, "I will go!"
Why? She was a blood relative to him. See, that was Abraham's brother's child. Isaac and Rebekah were first cousins, blood relation; showing that the church in the last days will be blood relation to Christ. For, the very God that predestinated the Christ who was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the earth, the church itself, it's name, was put on the book before the foundation of the world. And Rebekah, as soon as she heard of Isaac, there was something in her that pulled her straight to him, though she hadn't seen him or nothing, she yet wanted to go by her own choice away from mother or brother.

Genesis 24:11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

Genesis 24:15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

Genesis 24:55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

Genesis 24:58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

54 And today, if that light of God, that Holy Spirit, ever strikes a predestinated seed, whose name was put on the Lamb's book of life before the foundation of the world! The Bible says that. That's right. The light will shine! You can preach to some, and it seems like it's just like water on a duck's back, falls off. But let it once strike that seed, and watch what happens quickly, something is there right now! Why? It's predestinated seed coming forth. It's got to come. And when that light, the gospel, strikes it, they get it. The rest of them will get up and walk away; it's not for them. The Bible said that men were "foreordained to condemnation," book of Jude. All Scripture is by inspiration.

Genesis 24:65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a veil, and covered herself.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

55 Now, when that light struck little Rebekah, she knew something within her, and that brought her to Isaac. She veiled her face. She wanted no more to do with her own thinking. Isaac was her thinking from then on. And the church itself, when it strikes that power of God, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, out of the denominational churches, out of the Catholic church, wherever it is! When that baptism of the Holy Ghost is made real to people, them that's predestinated (like you people here) to eternal life, sees it and walks in it. What is it? A super sign. And, the enemy, possess the gate of the enemy!

Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Genesis 24:58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

56 Look at Abraham's natural seed. Moses, he possessed the gate of Egypt, that great city. He possessed the gate of the Red Sea when he come to it. He did.
Look at the Hebrew children, the enemy was the fire. They possessed the gate of the fire, that it couldn't burn them.
Look at Daniel in the lion's den, Abraham's seed, he possessed the gate of the lion's mouth. He could not open his mouth. I believe God come down in that pillar of fire, and stood there between Daniel and those lions. Anyone knows that a lion is afraid of fire. And he seen that light whirling there, and that lion wouldn't go to him. It was the angel of the Lord. Daniel possessed the gate of the lions' den. Why? He was the seed of Abraham.

Daniel 3:27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Daniel 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

57 All these great warriors, we could take hours on them. Got a many of them wrote down here. I'll bypass it, for a time. But all these died in the faith, all went down into the ground.
But there come the super seed one day, the royal seed, and He possessed the gates of death, hell, and the grave. And He brought forth, after His resurrection, an eternal super sign, "These signs shall follow them that believe"! Today, it's a "million more," it's a denomination, it's an organization. But Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them," a super sign. God once says anything, He can never take it back.
Some people says, "That was just for the apostles."

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

58 What did Jesus say? "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." How far? All the world! How many? Every creature! "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; he that believeth not shall be damned. And [a conjunction], these signs shall follow them that believe." In all the world, and every creation, every creature!
I can show you where God put gifts and power in the church. I want somebody to put your finger on a Scripture and show me where He took it out, where He took it back from the church. It's a super sign to the believer, that we've passed from death unto life, because we feel the Holy Ghost, and see it working on our lives and changing us from what we were to what we are now. Amen. He arose from the dead. Thanks be to God!

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

59 Make the Word super in the last day, He still lives in the seed of Abraham, with a super sign. The sign that He promised Abraham, the super seed in the last days would perceive the same sign, do the same thing. Because, God had to kill Christ, Emmanuel, to raise Him up again, to send the Holy Ghost (an eternal one that could not die) to live in the church to produce that sign. Of all of our psychology, of all of our great teachers, of all of our theologians, there's not one living on the earth today can produce it. It takes the Holy Ghost, and Him alone! So, Emmanuel, the same yesterday, today, and forever, God raised Him from the dead, and He's here with us after nineteen hundred years, alive, the super sign!
We've got all kinds of signs, we have signs here and signs there. But God gave a super sign, Emmanuel, the seed of Abraham made flesh and dwelt among us, died, rose again; in order to redeem the church, and to sanctify the church, that He might live in the church and still produce the super signs to others as the ages growed on, as He promised. Not a super organization; but a super sign. Oh, born of His very life, God's own life living in us, producing the same sign He did at Sodom, down there by the prophet Abraham.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

60 God has always give prophets. God gives prophets, and when He sends prophets to the people, it's usually the sign of a following judgment. Did you know that? When prophets are sent on the earth. Now I want to take something with you just for a moment, before we go into the prayer line, the next few minutes.
When God sent Noah to an intellectual age, a silly message to them, 'cause it didn't meet with their condition of that day. But God sent Noah as a prophet, prophesying that the end was at hand. And God let him live to see it happen.
When God sent, took Israel out of Egypt, He sent Moses, a prophet, to prophesy to a scientific age of Egypt. A prophet, a sign of the oncoming judgment.
Daniel was a sign to Babylon.
And John was a sign to the Jews.

61 Now there is a super sign, of the Holy Spirit. We know, we absolutely know that Christ still lives and reigns. He is the super One.
You talk about a superman? The devil has something to counterfeit the very thing that God has made. Everything that the devil has got, he made it off of something that's original. The devil cannot create. Now you know that. If the devil is a creator, then we got two creators. The devil cannot create. He perverts what has been created. Now look, like a... What is an adultery? An adultery is the right act perverted. What is a lie? It's the truth perverted. What is sin? Unrighteousness. It's righteousness perverted. And anything the devil has got is something perverted of what God originally made. That's the reason that they called Jesus "Beelzebub." That old fortune-telling devil out there, that was a perverted spirit to a prophet, see.
And that's the same thing today. They don't understand it. But if they would read the Bible, the Bible said it was a super sign.

62 Look at that bunch of 120 little ignorant fishermen, and so forth, that went in the upper room at the day of Pentecost. They come out with a super sign. There was people standing there of all nations under heaven. And here they was, didn't even know their own language, and speaking in the language of every nation under heaven. Super sign! Oh, my, we could go on and on and on! Super sign, He is the super sign.
He is the last sign. And remember, the super sign in Abraham's time was what? When God manifested Himself in flesh, and showed this great manifestation of knowing what Sarah was saying in the tent. The last sign that Israel got before her rejection, and called Jesus "Beelzebub," was when Jesus could perceive the thought that was in their heart. Jesus said that this generation would receive the same thing! That's the last! What is it? That was God with Abraham; that was God in Christ. God with Abraham; God in Christ, Emmanuel. And today it's God in His church, the super sign that God still lives. Do you believe it? Don't you never get away from it. Stay with it. It's the closing hours. It's the closing hours of the world's history.

Acts 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

63 Now it's a little later than I thought, it's a quarter after four, so I've got to stop, and start praying for the sick. Super sign! "I will give them an everlasting sign. I'll give them a sign that they can't destroy." And they can't, for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. No matter what you try to do to it, you'll never be able to destroy it. The only thing to do with it is believe it.
And now through this week, you lovely people, I'd be a miserable hypocrite to stand here before a people that loves God and try to tell them anything wrong; I'd be a deceiver; I shouldn't stand behind the desk; I shouldn't be in the company of these fine ministers; I shouldn't be in your company; I should be out with the rest of the sinners and hypocrites. But because that I believe this, and God has chosen that this should come forth in the last days, and proved it by His Bible, that's why I'm here.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

64 I'm not here for popularity. If I would, I'd have radio programs and television, have all this on televised and everything. To have to beg the people for their money, and things like that; I don't want that stuff. I want favor with my God, that's all. I want to be, where if He sends me to where if there's only five people in a church, and says, "Stay there for six months," I'll stay right there. I have nothing to tie me. That's right. If he sends me overseas to a hundred million people, I'd be right there. Some way He'll take care of it, He always has and He will.
But to be honest and sincere, and I tell you, my friends, that Christ is alive today. He is not dead. And He's an everlasting sign, as we've brought it through Abraham now, through the days of Jesus, and right up to here, that it is the last thing to be given to the church.

65 Let me make a prediction. I'm not prophesying. I'm predicting. I predict that in the next few years that all organization religions will be forced to take a stand. And they will have a union of churches, and a great boycott will follow this union of churches. All denominations will be forced into it; all of them. If they don't, there will be a horrible boycott. Nearly every one of them today has (not knowingly) joined that World Council of Churches, selling their birthrights; Protestants, "brothers," with the "mother," Catholic of Rome. They'll do that. You know the Bible said that the tares will be bound, bundled first. They are bundling all in one great group. The Bible said they would make an image unto the beast. I believe it'll come to pass, that shortly, that if people do not join some organization, some church, go in, their doors will be closed.

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

66 This nation has always typed Israel. Israel, we find out, come into another land, took the occupants, slayed them, run them out, pushed them back and occupied the land just as we did the Indians. Then God gave them that land. God gave us this land. Notice what taken place. They had great men in them days; Joshua, a king; they had David; they had Solomon; great men. But finally it worked around till they got a renegade on the platform, Ahab, a lukewarm believer. It wasn't so much Ahab; but it was that wife behind him, Jezebel, of another race, of another class, not an Israelite, she was a heathen, an idol-worshiper. She was the one who done the dirty work, she told Ahab what to do. And we have worked around in the same way, and we've had a Washington, a Lincoln, after we pushed the Indians back and took their ground. But what have we done? Through politics, we've worked the very thing in that we come over here for freedom from. That's exactly right. A Jezebel, a Herodias, and a Jacqueline, married twice before, living with the third husband, living in there now. And yet the people go for it, blinded in their eyes. And there it is!

67 You just watch, we're going to reap what we sowed! She's at the end. I prophesied in 1956 when Billy Graham would return, and I said that Tommy Osborn would return, and America would receive her last call.
Several years ago, it predicted exactly the Maginot Line, exactly what would take place, exactly Kennedy would take the place of this, and there would be a Catholic President ruling here, and what it would be. And there's just two more things left, from seven things that He told me to happen perfectly. That's right, it's on old yellow paper. We're at the end time.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

68 Remember, brother, in the days of that country back there in Israel, when she went wrong, God had someone to stand up, by the name of Elijah. He wasn't much thought of. We don't have no history of his life, we don't know where he come from. The only thing we know, he went to heaven in a chariot. He was kind of a woodsman. He hated immoral women, and he didn't fail to tell that Jezebel what she had done.
Then before the coming of the Lord Jesus, there was another one come anointed with his spirit, called John, also a woodsman. And he hated immoral women. He didn't fail to tell Herod it was wrong for him to live with his brother Philip's wife. And Herodias had his head cut off. Right.

Matthew 14:4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

Mark 6:18 For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.

69 It's predicted again, Malachi 4, that it'll return again. There will be a super seed rise up. There's got to be something stand up that's got backbone and Christian integrity, certainly, that will take this Jezebel religion that's been pushed even into our Pentecostal groups, somebody will stand with Christian Spirit and fire, with the Holy Ghost behind it, to prove that it's right. It shall be light in the evening time! And He will restore the faith of the children back to the Pentecostal fathers, away from their dogmas and creeds. It's got to come, it will come! In the name of the Lord, it will come!

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

70 These little, weakly, insignificant, so-called men achievement; let people get by, and play cards, and married four or five times, and be deacons in churches, and things like that, it's a rotten shame in the sight of God, then call it religion of Christ; preachers, men and women, mixed bathing, out on the roads wearing shorts, smoking cigarettes! Why, the backbone of the nation is broke when women act like that. Woman is the backbone of a nation. It ain't the robin that pecks on the apple that hurts it, it's the worm at the core. I ain't scared of Russia's atomic bombs. No, indeed. Why, our own rottenness is what is killing us. It's rotten to the core, with immoral. That's right.

71 And you people, I've got to say this, don't you never let anybody poke something down your back about communism. Communism is nothing. It's just a tool in God's hands. I want any Bible reader, any prophet, to stand and show me where the Bible ever says that communism will rule. It isn't communism that's going to rule.
It's Romanism is going to rule, according to the Bible. Let me say this, in closing. There's three great curtains today. One of them is the iron curtain. The other one is the bamboo curtain. And the other one is the purple curtain; you watch that one, that's the one that's going to rule.
Oh, can't you see the whole thing facing right into it? The church getting... "Unless there come a falling away, the man of sin can't reveal himself." The communists, the lukewarmness of the church, the insignificance walking around. God, have mercy! Said, in that day He'd send a super sign among them, He'd call a people for His name's sake. He'll do it!

Acts 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

72 Thirty-one years ago I dedicated my life, and died, the old William Branham, and give myself, a service, to respect and to take the filth off of the name of Jesus Christ, and put the Word of God back in the church. I'm thirty-one years in the service. God, help me to live to see the day when I can see the hearts of Christians beating as one, amen, and the filth of the women and the men, and the churches and their creeds and things, dropped away, and a true unadulterated church of the living God stands in the beauty of Christ to receive Him when He comes.
Let us bow our heads.

73 Heavenly Father, why do I have to say such? It's off of my shoulders now, Lord. It's into the ears of the people. I pray, God, I don't think the people sits here, but let them take it to somebody else. Oh, have mercy, Father God.
We have talked so much of super sign today. We brought Abraham up, to show the faith that he had. Let the power of God now, Lord, rule in the lives of the people. Let the Holy Spirit come gently, sweetly to every believer, cuddle them into His arms, tell them, "Don't fear, little one, it's just down the road." Just a little further, and the great masterpiece will come, the Christ of God, the super sign that raised up from the dead and is alive forevermore, living among us in the form of the Holy Spirit, saying, "That day you'll know that I am in the Father, the Father in Me; I in you, and you in Me." Then God in His people, manifesting Himself. God, may there not be any here this afternoon, dull enough to miss that. May the Spirit quicken the things to them.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

74 Here's handkerchiefs laying here for the sick and afflicted. I think, what if this handkerchief was going to my little boy? What if it was going to my wife; or my precious old daddy, was living, it was going to him; my mother? Oh, how I'd want somebody to be sincere. And, God, with all the sincerity I know to have, I ask, to heal every one of them, God. Grant it. We're taught in the Bible that they took off of Paul, handkerchiefs or aprons. Now we realize that Paul doesn't live amongst mortals no more; he's immortal. Paul is gone on. But Jesus remains here, He's the same God. And the people who had faith in Paul, knowing that You were in his body; that it was You, not Paul. He died daily so You could live in him. And now, Father, they realize the same thing, and that's why they bring handkerchiefs and aprons to us. You remain the same God. Give them the same blessings, Father. I ask it in Jesus' name.
And now, Lord, I'm going to pray for Your sick children now. I pray that You'll help me. May the Holy Ghost so anoint me this afternoon, not only me, but every minister, every person in here, that there will not be one feeble person among us when the service is over. Grant it, Lord.

Acts 19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

75 Now with our heads bowed. Before we call the prayer line, I wonder if there's any here that's kind of sin sick. You've went to the church because it had a great big bell on it, because the mayor of the city belonged there, or some famous doctor of divinity. I have nothing evil to say against that. Jesus didn't condemn those Pharisees; He just said, "You're blind, leading the blind!" He said, "You compass seas to make one proselyte; and when you get him, you make him twofold child more of hell than he was when he started." That's about right. Remember, you have to bypass the truth, to receive an error. Believe the Word! "He that cometh unto Me, I will in no wise cast out."
Will you receive Christ this afternoon, just by raising your hand, and saying, "Brother Branham, I will, right here in my seat. I won't come up to the altar; I'll believe Him right here. And from this day on, I promise I'll serve Christ. I'll go to one of these churches and be baptized. I will seek until the Holy Ghost fills my body, fills my soul, gives me eternal life. I'll believe what you've taught has been the truth. Now just pray for me, Brother Branham, to make up my mind, to let this be the hour, right in my seat I'll raise up my hand"? How many will there be? God bless you. God bless you. And God bless you. That's good. Right.

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

76 I'm not going to call you up here. Just right in your heart, say, "Lord Jesus, I truly believe right now." All right, just keep believing now, "I truly believe, Lord Jesus." Somebody else, in the balcony now. I'm just waiting a moment.
This is more, more than praying for the sick, friends. God bless you, I see your hand back there, son. God bless you, sir. No doubt but what a good man like that has done many good things in his life; but that's the greatest thing you ever done, brother.
Remember, just as you raised your hand, in sincerity, that quick He took you. "He that heareth My words, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath [present tense] everlasting life, and shall never come to the judgment." You'll never go through the tribulation, never come into judgment, but you've passed from death unto life. How beautiful!

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

77 Will you raise your hand, someone else? God bless you, sister. God bless you, sister. God bless you, sister. And God bless you. Both you girls, a little boy, God bless you. God bless this lady here. God bless you, my sister. Mean it now, He'll take you right where you are. Now remember, altar call is wonderful, but in the Bible they never had an altar call; the people believed, "As many as believed was added to the church." You just believe right where you are, that you are passing right now from death unto life.
There's another one I'm waiting for so bad. God bless you back there. Good. God bless you. There's someone, I just know, I'm looking right over them. I see it. You say, "You mean that, Brother Branham?" I mean it. Won't you receive Christ speaking to you now, saying, "This is the time. This is the hour"? You've always wanted to. Won't you receive Him now as your Saviour? "Right here I make my decision. I tell my time. Right now I'm raising up my hands, and saying, 'Lord, I now want to pass from death unto life. I want to be a new creature. I want to have something in my life that I know that's brought me above the cares of the world. I want to know that I'm a-living. I can't afford to take the chance. My life might be stamped, snap right now, might go yet today, and then I'll have to meet You.' " But if you're not sure of it, won't you raise your hand while we pray? Grant it, God. Amen. That's fine, good. That's it. Yes, I'm glad, my precious sister, that you understood there.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

78 Our heavenly Father, it's all in Your hand now. There's where the light was hanging; and it's out now, it's gone. I've did the best that I know how, Father. And now as the trophies of this meeting, I give You everyone of them, Father, the trophies of the message. And may You... They are love gifts from God, to His Son, Jesus Christ. "And no man can come to Me except My Father draws him; and all that the Father has given Me, will come to me, and I will raise him up at the last day." You promised it, Christ. I claim it for them. I claim Your Word for them. standing here as a minister, a priest between the living and dead, and now I'm doing just what You said, taking what You said in Your Word. You said, St. John 5:24, Lord, where it was written, You said, "He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life." You promised it, now, and they raised their hands, that they believed it and they accepted it. Now they're Yours. I commit them to You. Lead them, Father, all through life's journey. And then, and finally in the end, when the rapture comes, may they go in that rapture. I may never shake their hand here, but, Lord, let us live neighbors to one another on the other side. Grant it, through Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

79 You feel scoured out? Just the Holy Spirit does something for us when we preach. There's one person that I always wanted to be like, that was Jesus. Do you know the song? Brother Davis wrote it.
From Bethlehem's manger came forth a
stranger,
On earth I long to be like Him;
All through life's journey, from earth
to glory,
I only ask to be like Him.
Let's, all together now, try to sing it.
To be like Jesus,
...... to be like Him;
All through life's journey from ...
Let's just hum it, like children. [Brother Branham begins humming "To be like Him."] That's my desire. When I was a little boy, I read Edgar Rice Burrough's "Tarzan Of The Apes," I cut mother's fur rug up, to impersonate Tarzan. When I read "The Lone Star Ranger," I rode a hobby horse everywhere I went. But one day I picked up the Bible, since then my desire is to be like Him. God, let me; let His life so flow through me. May I clean myself away, professing to be dead for thirty-one years now, that Jesus might reflect Himself. Only way I know He can do it, is by His Word. Just to be like Jesus! Oh, yes, just to be like Jesus!
On earth I long to be like Him;
All through life's journey.....
I'm getting old now. I've got to move off the scene pretty soon. That's still my desire, just to be like Him.

80 Heavenly Father, as this beautiful song is being chorded, "Just To Be Like Jesus." Can I die dead enough? Can I get myself enough out of the way, the unworthiness. There's none of us worthy, Lord, to be like You. But, You said it would be, then it's Your promise. Cleanse us, Lord. Take out all the doubts. We want to be like Jesus. Our lives, we want His Spirit to live in us. What would He do standing here this afternoon, with the purchase of His blood, after His death, burial, and resurrection? God, grant it once more, will You? Help this poor hungry heart of mine, hungering for brotherly love, sisterly love, with decency and honor, as Christian, as sons and daughters of the Master. What type of person ought we to be? Grant it through Jesus' name, once more, Lord, please.

81 If He was standing here, what would He do? Oh, if we can just yield ourself. He promised, "A little while and the world won't see Me no more, yet you'll see Me." If He'd just do it again when I'm going to pray for you, that you would know it wasn't me. His Word said here, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." Just let it be once more, if He'll just let His Spirit come in now before we start this.
Been preaching rough like this, it's hard, but pray for me. You pray. You pray, "Lord, let me be able to touch Your garment today. Turn, Lord, Your servant, Brother Branham, let him speak to me like he did ... like You did the woman at the well. I know it ain't Brother Branham. He has to get out of the way. But if You'll just take his body and use it, I'll know it's You, after all this five days of hard teaching on it, scripture by scripture, and the promises. I'll believe it." Would you do it? Thank you.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

82 By His grace and by His help, the angel of the Lord whose picture you see back there, when I meet you again at the river or just beyond before we go up, remember, He's not standing two feet from where I am right now. And that's exactly the truth. And I take every spirit in here under the control of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ. I ask you to believe what I've taught, to be the truth, if it's God's Word. If it ain't the Word, don't believe it. If it is the Word, it's the Word, God will confirm His Word.
Just had a little... People out there, so that the anointing can come, then I'm going to call every person. Billy says there's five hundred prayer cards out in here. I'm going to pray for every one of them, going to do it. I want you to see that it's Him.

83 A little Catholic lady come down here at Santa ... All these saint names around here, I get them all mixed up. Where was we at last? Santa Maria. She walked up there, and she had her beads in her hand. She said, "Father"; I said, "Brother." She said, "I know God is with you. If you'll just lay your hands on me, I'll get well." That was all she needed.
I think of that little Mexican woman that night down there in Mexico, with that little, dead baby. You heard the story, in the Businessmen's... Standing there, preaching, trying the second night. Billy come to me, said, "Daddy, I've got better than six hundred ushers standing right there. They can't keep a little woman. Her baby died this morning at nine o'clock, a little Mexican woman." It was in Mexico City. And said... It just rains all day, and they was standing right there, thousands, leaning, no place to sit down; standing up.

84 And the brother give the cards out, he was so slow. I called him "mañana," in Mexico it means "tomorrow." He was always so late. He come, got me at nine o'clock. And I got over there.
And Billy said, "That woman has got that dead baby out there, Daddy. And we can't hold her." And said, "Mañana has done give out all the cards." Said, "I can't get her in that prayer line without a card, because some of the rest of them."
I said, "Well," I said, "Brother Moore..." How many knows Brother Jack Moore? Many of you up here. I said, "Brother Moore, go pray for the baby. She wouldn't know me, anyhow." They let me down a wall, on a ladder, to the platform. I said, "She wouldn't know me," there at the big ring.

85 Brother Espinoza, you know him here on the West Coast? Brother Espinoza, any of you know Brother Espinoza, the Mexican? Yeah, Sure. He was standing right there, interpreting for me.
And I started. I said, "As I was saying, 'Faith is the substance of things...'" And I looked, and standing right before me was the little Mexican baby. It didn't have teeth. It was laughing. And I looked around, and I seen Brother Moore going to pray for the lady. She would run under those ushers' legs, upset them, climb up over their shoulders; this dead baby wrapped in a blanket. So I seen that, I said, "Wait a minute, Brother Moore. Tell the ushers to break away and let the lady come up." I didn't know it was the baby. I just thought. I put my hand upon the wet blanket.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

86 She run up, first, and she grabbed up one of those beads, and begin to hollering, "Padre!" "Father," you know.
And I said, "Don't do that."
So I just prayed for the baby, I said, "Lord Jesus, I seen a vision of a little baby. I don't know whether it's that one." I said, "I lay my hands upon this wet blanket." And it begin kicking and screaming. It come to life.
I said, "Brother Espinoza, chase that down. Don't say it until the doctor signs the statement that the baby died."
He chased it down. It died that morning at nine o'clock; and it's eleven o'clock that night, come to life. Then the papers come out and everything.
Then they give me an interview, of the Catholic church, and they asked me if they thought their saints could do the same thing. I said, "If they're living."
He said, "Well, they can't be a saint until they're dead."
I said, "No. Find that in the Scripture for me."

87 So, He still lives. He is still here. Pray now. Just touch the border of His garment. Let me give you a scripture now. He's a high priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. The same yesterday, today, and forever. I claim that He's the high priest right here. He's the invisible high priest, can only do or intercede for you when you confess that He has done it, see. Now you touch Him. Touch any of us, would make no difference. But touch Him and He'll work through His Spirit, see. I believe that I have His Spirit. You touch and see if it's right or not. Touch Him. Just pray.
In the balcony, some of you people in the balcony think 'cause you're that far back. You're not out of reach of Him. He's everywhere, omnipresent. Do you believe that? Omniscient. Do you believe that? Knows everything, ever-present, omnipotent, all-powerful, infinite. Hallelujah! That's my God.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

88 Here's an elderly lady sitting right on the end, she had been praying there for a few minutes. I thought I seen it standing by her. She got trouble with her head. You believe. That's right, raise up your hand. It's left you now. Your faith healed you.
Now you want to question her? What was it? She never touched me. Look how far she is from me. But the eye that seen, said, "I seen you when you were under the fig tree," He still lives today. That's a super sign. And He is still here. Just believe.
There's a lady sitting back right here. She is weeping. She is praying. She is suffering with a nervous stomach. She'd just believe with all of her heart, God will heal her. Don't miss it, sister. Mrs. Snowden, have faith. I hate to have to call her name. We're strangers to one another, I never seen the woman in my life. Was them your conditions, and so forth, all was said? Wave your hand back and forth if that's right. If we are strangers one to another, and I don't know you, wave your hands again.

John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

89 Now, what is it? Just to be like our Lord Jesus, on earth I just long to be like Him. Don't you want to be like that?
Somebody over here. There's a woman keeps... Oh, it's here. Eye trouble. Mrs. Craig, I don't know you, but you're sitting there praying for it. If we're strangers, wave your hand back and forth, this way, so the people will see.
You're near the kingdom now. Just have faith, and believe.
Little lady sitting here, so marvelous to her; she shook her head, looking around. Not... She didn't doubt it. She believes it. And because you have believed, look on me and believe me. You're praying for a boy. That's right. A mental case. You believe? Don't you doubt; he'll come home.
The lady right behind her, young woman suffering with complications, weak back, nervousness. Mrs. Patchett. Believe with all your heart, Mrs. Patchett. I'm a stranger to you, but that's true. If that's true, wave your hand. It's left you now. There was a dark shadow over you, and it's been gone.

90 What about the balcony? Somebody believe. You believe that He's the same?
I see a woman, she don't even realize she's got that faith. It's a hidden faith. She don't even confess it. She's suffering with a headache. She's sitting here looking at me, right up here. Mrs. Singer. Surprised you, didn't it? Your headaches is going to leave you now. Now you tell your critics to answer that.
Do you believe Him? Let's just sing once more to Him.
To be like Jesus... Jesus.
Lord, that's my desire, just to humble ourselves. Look at these people, these women, these men, many of them this afternoon, across this rows, and around, same faith that that little woman had years ago, the same Jesus representing Himself, the super sign in the last days, as it was the last days for Israel then.
..... ask to be like Him.

91 He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." You believe that? How many of you love your pastors? Raise up your hand. Sure, you do. I love them, too. They are men of God. I know they suffer, themselves. I know they're pastors. God knows all about it. See, they're willing to give themselves.
Let me show you. That man with his handkerchief up to his face just then, he's been suffering trouble with his nose, comes back and forth, goes on. That's right. He knows all your troubles. There ain't a thing but what He knows.
I challenge the unbeliever! If you think it's wrong, come here do the same thing.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

92 I know what's wrong with that woman sitting there. I can't call her; 'cause if she'd just have more faith, that hip would get all right. Sure.
This woman sitting in that chair there, that cot. I know her trouble, but what good does it do to call her? See, I'd say there... You say, "Sure, look, she's crippled!" How about these people that don't look crippled? There's the miracle.
That woman with the arthritis, laying there. Takes faith. Why did you doubt, sister? Why didn't you keep on believing? You once believed it. You let somebody talk to you. Now you know that's right. I pray that your faith will never fail no more.
You try to hide yourself right now, and see if you can do it. I can call three critics in here, by the name, right now, too. But it'd hurt some feelings.

93 Only, we're not playing church. This is God. Not me; Him! His presence is here. Do you believe it? Now while His Spirit is here, anoint me, if you believe it to be God, I want to stand up, these prayer cards, and pray for you. You come through here, don't come to me. If you're coming to me, you're going to lose. You come, when you come by here, like you're coming under the cross.
I'm going to ask these godly pastors to stand here with me. I'm going to stand with them at the judgment bar. They may not be able to have discernment; that's just given, you know. But they are men of God, saved as well as I'm saved, called to their ministry. There is five gifts in the ministerial body; first, is apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, and evangelists. That's God's predestinated. "God hath set in the church, gifts!" Brethren, will you stand with me?

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

94 Let that section, all that's got prayer cards, stand out in the aisle, stand up. Let this middle section, that's got prayer cards, stand up. Let the first section come across this way.
Is there a way to bring them? Or, shall we come down front? [Someone speaks to Brother Branham.] Now, well, I can't. I want them to come. Let's see. Maybe we'd better get down there. Can you set this microphone down there? I like to get down with the people, anyhow. Thank you, brother.
I see your baby. You have your request.
Come on, pastor.

95 Here's a boy laying, dying now, just had a rest a moment ago. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, have compassion on this group. Don't let that boy die. Save his life, Lord. Grant it. We're claiming it right now. Don't let him die in that condition, Lord. May the blessing of Jesus Christ anoint him here. Grant it, Lord. He's struggling hard for his breath. Let the mercies of God sweep over the boy. May he be saved, healed, and made well for the kingdom of God's sake, Father. We the church of the living God do believe it now, and accept it in Jesus' name.

96 All right, brethren. Now, I'm going to ask my brethren to stand on each side.
How many of you people is interested in these sick people, raise your hand. Let us pray one for another.
Brethren, if you all stand over here by me. That's how I seen it last night, the Holy Spirit said do that. Right over the other side of the microphone. How's that? Now these, and now as you people come... [Gap in the audio.] In the name of Jesus.
Is there any more real believing pastors that will just come, stand with us? Come. You're invited, and ordained.
In Jesus' name. God, in the name of Jesus!
Some of you ministers wants to come down and stand with us.
In Jesus' name. Amen. Poor old brother, come here my precious one.
Our heavenly Father, I lay my hands on him, may there come faith. In Jesus' name, grant it.

97 God, through Jesus' name, grant it. In the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus, grant it, Father.
Now go, believing, every one, in Jesus' name. In the name of the Lord Jesus, grant it. Laying my hands on our sister, in the name of Jesus. Grant it, O God, through the name of Jesus Christ.
Come, my brother. Believe Him now with all your heart. In the name of Jesus Christ, be healed. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I lay my hands upon the mother, and the child, also.
Come, my brother. In the name of the Lord Jesus. Come, sister [unclear words]. In the name of Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ's name. In the name of Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ name. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. In the name of the Lord Jesus. Come, brother, in Jesus' name. Believe it, sister, now with all that's in you. In the name of Jesus Christ, grant it. In the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus.
[Brother Branham and the ministers continue praying for all the people in the prayer line. Blank spot on tape.]

98 Amen. Do you love Him? Do you believe? Let us sing this old song now.
I can, I will, I do believe;
I can, I will, I do believe;
I can, I will, I do believe
That Jesus heals me now.
Now I'll tell you what I want you to do. I want you to put your hand on somebody by you, when we sing that again. Each one of you join in. Let's join hands, one with another like that. All right.
I can, I will, I do believe;
I can, I will, I do believe;
I can, I will, I do believe
That Jesus heals me now.
All that believe Him now, raise up your hands, together.
I can, I will, (It's over. You have it.)
....... believe;
I can, I will, I do believe;
I can, I will, I do believe
That...............
God bless you, Brother. Thank you Brother Carl. God bless you.
