What think ye of Christ?

1 What think ye of Christ, and Whose Son is He? It's an age-old question has been asked through the days. Years after years, this same question has been raised. What think ye of Christ, Whose Son is He? All through the ages people has wondered Who--Who He was, what He was. The argument has come back and forth, "Was He the Son of God? How could He be? How could the virgin birth...?"
And you know what? After a survey was made, according to government statistics, after the survey was made, there was seventy percent of the Protestant preachers denied the virgin birth of Jesus. Would you think of it? No wonder we've hatched out thirteen million infidels last year. See? Because that's the fundamental part of the Christian religion is based upon the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. If He was not borned a virgin birth, He was not the Son of God. And if He was born the virgin birth, He would have to be the Son of God; for no other one could bring Him here, 'cause God is the only Creator there is.
And now, let's look into the Scriptures, just for a few moments.

2 Some time ago, I was talking to a--a man, a hunting partner that hunts with me. I knowed him but just a few hours. I had met him on the road up to Colorado. I was going back to--to the mountains elk hunting, getting away to relax a little, back to myself. He picked me up, and we got on a horse. He said, "Can you ride?"
I said, "Well, I--I can hang on a little."
And he said, "Well, jump up in the saddle." And he was... having a couple of horses, and so we went riding along. He said, "What's your occupation?"
I said, "I'm a State Game Warden in Indiana."
He said, "Well, there's never a game warden ever welcome in this country."
I said, "Well, I'm from Indiana. I have nothing to do with your laws and rules here." I said, "That's just on the side, so I won't have to take up offerings." I said, "My church... I'm a minister."
He looked around to me, he said, "You look too bright for that."
And I said, "Well, I--I... not exchanging the compliment, my brother, but I--I feel like if I didn't believe that, I wouldn't be bright."

3 So, he said, "Well," he said, "I--I--I just want to talk to you awhile."
And I said, "Now, I won't argue," because the Scriptures are not to argue, They are to be lived. That's--that's, you live me a sermon. That's the best thing. I'd rather see one lived, than I would to hear one preached. Wouldn't you? Live a sermon. "You're written epistles, read of all men."
He said, "Well, what do you think about that virgin birth?" Said, "Do you believe that's the truth?"
I said, "I know it's the truth."
And he said, "Oh, you're just mistaken," said, "There--there couldn't be such a thing happen."
I said, "But there was."

4 He said, "Well, I want to ask you something." He said, "Now, I want to tell you in the beginning, I do not believe it. And I--I really think, in the bottom of your heart, you don't believe it."
I said, "But in my heart, if I know my heart, I do believe it."
And he said--he said, "All right," he said, "I can scientifically prove to you that the virgin birth is impossible."
I said, "I have nothing to do with science," I said, "We mu-... He that cometh to God must believe that He is, not prove that He is, but believe that He is."
And so he said, "Well," he said, "Look, anything that can't be proved by science is not real."
I said, "Oh, my. I'm going to sure disagree with you there." I said, "The only real things there is, is the things that science know nothing about."
He said, "Oh, my. We're really getting apart, aren't we?"
I said, "Yes, sir."
He said, "Well, looky here..."

5 I said, "I want to ask you something: Do you love your wife?"
He said, "Yes, sir."
I said, "Show me, scientifically, what love is. Pull that part out, let me feel it and see what it is. What part of you is a love that loves your wife, makes her different from any other woman?" There you are. See? I said, "Do you believe in personality?"
He said, "Yes."
I said, "Scientifically show me in a man what's personality. Can't be done." I said, "Personality, and love, and those things, God, Christ, Holy Spirit, Angels, all those things that are real, are things who cannot, which cannot be scientifically proven. When God made man, He made him first in His Own image, which is a Spirit. Then He put man in five senses, not to declare Him, but to contact his earthly home. Scientific part of a man, see, taste, feel, smell, and hear is only to contact his earthly home. The inside man, which is spirit, contacts God. Science knows nothing about it." And they set up things, and the first year, they have to alter it again, take it down. But God's Word is set up and established forever, never altered, It's God's Word, forever.

6 Now, he said, "Why, look," he said, "That virgin birth," said, "do you really believe that that's the truth?"
I said, "Yes, sir. I believe it."
He said, "Preacher, that's against all scientific rules, that virgin birth." He said, "It can't be," said, "corn, corn has to poll'; trees has to poll'; everything; the pollen has to go from one to another, from male to female to even in trees and everything else. If you don't, it don't bear."
I said, "But, you forget, sir, He's God, the Creator."
He said, "Well, it just can't be so, sir."
And I said, "Well, I--I beg your pardon, it's already proved. 'The--the proof of the pudding is the eating of it.'" And I said, "It is so."

7 He said, "Well, now, looky here," he said, "don't you believe that was a little slip-up, like Joseph was really the father and that just..."
I said, "No, sir! I believe that was God's Son, and Joseph had no more to do with it than I have." That's right. I said, "I believe it was the Son of God." And he... It was the Son of God.
And he said, "Well, looky here," he said, "I tell you," said, "it--it is, I believe it was a little slip-up."
I said, "Let me tell you something. Do you believe He had a, actually, a earthly mother?"
He said, "Yes, I believe Mary was his mother, but, Joseph was his father."
I said, "Then you say it's impossible for a woman, here on earth, to bring forth a child without knowing a earthly mate."
Said, "Yes, sir. That's exactly right."

8 I said, "Then I'm going to ask you one question. If you ask... you answer this, then I'm going to agree with you. If you tell me..." He'd just told me the first man come off of a--a polliwog, you know, or a piece off a star or something. I said, "I want to ask you something. If you tell me that a baby can't be born here on earth without a actual contact from the male sex, I want to ask you this: 'Where did the first man come from? Who was his father and his mother?' Let him be tadpole, monkey, whatever he might been, he had to have a pappy and a mammy somewhere, according to your teaching." That's right. "Who was his father and mother?"
He's never answered me yet. No, sir. He can't. No, sir. Let him be whatever he might be, if he was an insect, polliwog, jellyfish, whatever he was, according to their talk, he had to have a daddy and a mother somewhere.

9 I say that He was the virgin-born Son of God, created by Jehovah. I believe that God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Hear the Truth of it and then worship Him in the Spirit. Now, and here's what I believe: That virgin Mary, was just a little girl, seventeen, eighteen years old, was going with a man, Joseph. And I believe God, the Creator, overshadowed that girl by the Holy Spirit, His being, and she conceived and brought a Child: Christ Jesus. We know that the--the baby, the blood cell comes from the male sex. The female has nothing to do with it. She's only a incubator.

10 Look, you take... if a hen... a hen can lay an egg, and if that hen hasn't been with the male bird, it will never hatch. It's not fertile. An old mother bird can make a nest, and lay a nest full of eggs, and she can just hover them, and hold them, and squeeze them, and set on there, and starve herself till she gets so poor she can't get off the nest. That's right. Hovering them eggs and keeping them warm, but if she hasn't been with the male bird, them eggs will lay right there in the nest and rot; they'll never hatch. That's right.
That's what I think about a whole lot of these old, cold, formal churches: a nest full of rotten eggs. You can hug them, squeeze them around: they haven't been in contact with the Holy Spirit and borned again, you got a nest full of rotten eggs. They don't believe, nor nothing else, might as well just dump it out and start the nest over again. That's right. Get people who's borned again, and know what they're talking about. No matter if he's a deacon, preacher, or whatever he is. Amen.
Don't get scared. I know where I am, now. This--this is... I'm not excited. I--I just love the Lord. Don't you? Sure, you do. All right. Now, that's true.

11 Then the Holy Spirit, God, the Creator, overshadowed the little virgin Mary, and created in her womb a Blood Cell that produced the Son of the living God. Man had nothing to do with it. There it is. And in there she brought forth this Baby. And He was the Blood of His Father, created, not sexual desire, but created. God, Jehovah, created That. We're born by sexual desire. And He shed, freely, that precious, Holy Blood, on Calvary's cross, to stand between the sinner and God, making a way of sinner, a holy man, through His Blood, by the offering of it. Hallelujah!
That's the Blood, this afternoon, that heals the sick, and cleanse the sinner, and makes him a new creature. Only through That, that Blood, alone, that's the reason we can stand on faith knowing where we are, for we believe it. The attributes of It cleans us up from a life of sin, and makes us a new creature in Christ Jesus. Devils scream and holler, and come out; cripples walk; blind see; deaf hear; sinners laden in sin are made ladies and gentlemen in society. Amen. There you are. That's Whose Son He was, He was the Son of God. Amen. I believe it with all my heart.

12 God is a Spirit, not a man. If He was a man, Christ was born, sexual desire. He was not a man. He is a Spirit, and He overshadowed the virgin Mary, and she brought forth the Son by a creative power, which is Jehovah God. Amen. Then that Blood is unadulterated, and It answers in my place, this afternoon, It answers in your place.

13 Few years ago, when Mayo Brothers looked me in the face, and said, "Reverend Branham, you can't live," I accepted the Blood of Jesus Christ. I'm better off, today, than I ever was in all of my life, because It's the unadulterated Blood of Jesus Christ.
When the best doctors that could be, doctored Congressman Upshaw, wheelchair cases and everything else, when everything had failed, and when his young bones, looked like, would've come together, and everything would've been all right, when he was a young man. But, God let him live till he was old, and his old--old bones was brittle and everything else, then the unadulterated Blood of Jesus Christ answered at Calvary for his healing. Here he is today, like a new man. The Blood of Jesus Christ! The Son of God! That's what I believe He was.
Oh, how we could go on. Ages would only tell what--what He is, explain what He is, and Who He is.

14 Let's call some questioneers for a few minutes.
Let's ask some of His enemies, if anybody would know, let's see some of His enemies, see what they testify.

15 Let's ask some of His friends, first. Let's go back and ask the first man, if we could call him on the stand, this afternoon, say, "Adam, come here a minute. I want to ask you something. Whose Son was that? Who was this Baby the world's arguing so much about the virgin birth, and so forth, Who is He?"
Adam would say, "He's the Seed of the woman, that was to bruise the serpent's head." I believe he'd give the answer he did in the Bible.
"Adam, what do you think about Him?"

16 If I'd ask Moses, the great prophet, "Moses, what do you think about Him, Jesus Christ?"
You know what he would say? Moses would say, "He's the One that I spoke of, 'the Lord your God will rise a Prophet up, like unto me; and if the people won't believe Him, they'll be cut off.' That's what I think about Him." All right.

17 We'd ask... we go ask Ezekiel. He was a great prophet. "Ezekiel, what do you think about Him?"
He said, "I saw Him, and He look like a wheel in the middle of a wheel, turning way up in the middle of the air."
"What do you think about Him, prophet Ezekiel?"

18 "Hebrew children, what do you think about Him?"
They'd say, "One day, way down in Babylon, we were down there in captivity, and the first thing you know, there was a proclamation went out, that, whosoever would not bow to an image, should be throwed in a fiery furnace. And we purposed in our heart, with Daniel, that we would not defile ourselves. So when the time come, and the horns blowed, and the music started, we turned our back to the image, to serve God. One day they het the furnace seven times hotter than it ever was het. They marched us on the gangplank." Let's look at that, just for a few moments.

19 My, you talk about whenever you speak of Jesus Christ and His Blood and His power, the devil turns the heat on you right then. Don't you think that you're going to get by.
Must I be carried Home to Heaven
On a flowery bed of ease,
While others fought to win the prize,
And sailed through bloody seas?
No, I must fight if I should reign,
Increase my courage, Lord.
That's it. Support me with Thy Word.

20 I can see them down there, that morning, when King Nebuchadnezzar said, "We'll cut out all this here holy-roller shine, we're having down here. We'll burn it out of them." Could you imagine a fire burning Fire? Well, you can't burn the Holy Ghost out of a man. It's Fire itself. All right. I can see them heat the furnace, the skies are black, seven times hotter than it ever was, and King Nebuchadnezzar get him a chair and watch to see what would take place.
The crucial hour come when they was tied, their hands behind them, on the death march, up to the place to drop into the furnace.
I can hear Shadrach say to Meshach, "Listen, brother, are you sure you're prayed up?"
"Yes! I'm all right."
They said, "Are you ready to compromise, boys?"
He said, "Our God is able to deliver us from the fiery furnace, but nevertheless, we'll not bow down to your image."
God give us some more people like that in New York, not only New York, but everywhere, who is willing to take God at His Word and stand there. Let come, let go, what may: stand with Christ. All right. He may be late, He may be this, that or the other. But don't worry, He'll be there, just right.

21 Then I can see them going up. And they begin to get fainty and sick. The men with the spears behind them, pushing them. They're almost...
Let's look at a little drama here for a few moments. Look, back there, at them people, standing back, said, "That's what'll happen to them holy-rollers. That's what takes place with them people who call themselves the servants of the God that can't be seen with a..." like of the image was, that they serve, said, "that's what will take care of them."
And as they walked up, I can see them getting kind of deathly sick, but they knew that God was able, but nevertheless, they wasn't going to bow down. Then, just about two steps was left, look at them walking, and there they go on. And the men is begin to faint, who is pushing them on. It looked like a pretty black picture for a believer, doesn't it?

22 Let's turn our camera for a few minutes. Let's look up to Glory. All the time there's anything going on down here, there's something going on up there. Always. I can see Him setting there with His priestly garment. My, the first thing you know coming to His right, I see a great Angel coming, his name is Gabriel. You know, Heaven's full of Angels. Don't you believe it? I can see Gabriel run up there, and pull his sword, say, "Master, I've served You since the day that You created me. I hold the lightnings in my hand. Look what's going on, down there in Babylon. They're fixing to burn up three believers. Let me go down there, this morning. I'll show Babylon which side of the bread has got butter on it." I believe he could've done it, don't you? I can hear him say, "Let me go down there. I'll clean Babylon up, this morning."
I can hear Him say, "Yes, Gabriel, you've been a righteous Angel. You've obeyed Me since the day I created you, but I can't let you go." Then I see him sheath his sword, stand back to attention, to his side.

23 Up, from this side, comes another Angel. He's Wormwood, the one who has control over the water, saying, "Master, have You looked down in Babylon? Why, You give me the jurisdiction over the antediluvian destruction. I broke up the springs of the deep, and rained the waters out of the heaven. I washed the earth off. Let me go down there, this morning. I'll wash Babylon off the face of the earth." I believe he could have done it.
I can hear Him say, "Woodworm, you've been a good Angel. You've done just what I told you in the antediluvian destruction. You cleared the earth out, and saved Noah, but I can't let you go."
Said, "Have You considered them?"
Said, "I've watched them all night long." Oh, my. "His eye is on the sparrow, I know He watches me." He knows what you're doing, what you're thinking. I can hear Him say, "I've watched them all night long." Oh, my. If He was concerned about three, how about the thousands that set here, of a night, that's in trouble? Sure He is.

24 I can hear Him say, "I'd let you all go, but I can't, for I'm going Myself. That's a Man-size job, so I'm going down." I can see Him rise from His chair, His priestly garments drop around Him. I can see Him look around, way back over here in the north, there's a big thunderhead. I can hear Him say, "Come here east wind, west wind, north, and south."
Everything in the heavens obey Him. Man knows more than He does; man tries to figure it out. The heavens obey Him. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

25 "Come here, east wind, west wind, north, and south. Get under that thunderhead over yonder. I want to take a trip, this morning." I can see them go over there, roll under that big thunderhead, come down along, go aside of the throne. He stepped off of His throne, onto that big thunderhead, like a chariot, reached over, and hooked them four winds to the cloud out there, going to ride like a chariot, get a hold of a zigzag lightning out the skies, crack it. Hallelujah!
One step more, and Hebrew children will be in the fiery furnace. And He passes by the Sea of Life, picks a palm off the Sea of Life. When they made their last--last step, there He appeared, in the fiery furnace with a fan, fanning back the breezes.

26 "What do you think of Him, Hebrew children?"
He said, "He looked like the Son of God, to me, when He was standing there." I believe He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. "One like the Son of God."
What do you think of Him?
I say, "Isaiah, what do you think of Him?" (Another prophet.) " What do you think of Him? You're a major prophet."
He said, "He's the Counsellor, The Prince of Peace, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father. Unto us a Child is born, given: the government shall be upon His shoulders;" Oh! "and of His Kingdom there shall be no end."
What do you think of Him? Whose Son is He? I believe He was the Son of God. Don't you?

27 I say, "Daniel, you stood there one day. What do you think about the Son of God? What do you think about Jesus Christ? Was He the Christ? What do you think about Him?"
He'd say, "One day, Brother Branham, I was viewing the ages," Hallelujah! "I was viewing the ages as God was passing them by me in a vision. I was watching the ages pass by. I seen all the kings come, and the great kingdoms, and so forth. And then I beheld, till there was a Stone cut out of the mountain without hands, and rolled into Babylon; poured down; and it became a great Mountain, that filled all the earth." He said, "That was Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God." Hallelujah! Daniel.

28 Let's ask John the Baptist. The Bi-... Jesus said, "He was the major of all the prophets." "What do you think about Him, John?" Look at John, when he was standing there. Jesus said, "There never was a man borned of a woman, as great as John." "What do you think about Him? You was right there. You was His second cousin. What do you think about Him?"
Here's what he said: "I knew Him not: but He, that, said to me in the wilderness, 'Upon Whom thou shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining, He's the One that will baptize with the Holy Ghost and with Fire: Whose fan is in His hand.'"
"What do you think about Him, John?"

29 Let's call another witness. I don't believe there's a better witness that ever lived, than His mother. That's right. "Mary, you're the one who brought Him here." Let's ask Mary, the virgin, "Whose Son is He? Mary, you ought to know. You're His mother."
She said, "I knew not a man." Hallelujah! "But the Holy Ghost overshadowed me, and said, 'The Holy Thing will be called the Son of God.'" I believe the Son of God. Don't you? Yes, sir. Whose Son is He?

30 Let's ask that Roman soldier who pierced His side, seen His Blood come pouring out. "What do you think about Him?"
He said, "Surely that was the Son of God."

31 Let's think of Judas, His enemy. Let's see what His enemy said. "Judas, what do you think about Him?"
"Oh," he said, "I have betrayed innocent Blood. Give me a rope, that I can hang myself; and here, Caiaphas, is your money. I betrayed innocent Blood."

32 Let's look at Pilate, that great lawyer, a great man of that day, a proclamator. Let's ask him, "What do you think about Him, Pilate? Come on out of hell and raise up here."
You say, "Was he in hell?"
Sure he was. He is yet.
Say, "Why do you say that?"
I ain't judging him, but by his fruits he's known. All right.
"What do you think about Him, Pilate, sitting there?"
He said, "Oh, one day I was setting there: 'I find no fault in Him.'"

33 Let's look. Let's turn the scene just a minute. I can just see him standing there, looking, looks around, his angered eyes looking at Him, trying to find something wrong with Him. Then he thought he would find some favor with Caesar, and so forth.
I hear a horse coming. Listen at it. It's coming up the road, hard as it can come. What is it? It's one of the temple guard. He jumps off, dismounts, runs up before Pilate, bows hisself, and hands him a note. Let's see. Pilate, he opens up the note, begins to read it. His face turns white, his eyes set, his knees buckle together. What's the matter? Let's look over his shoulder and see what it is.
It's from his wife. "My beloved husband," a heathen, she was, "my beloved husband, have nothing to do with this just Man: for today I've suffered many things in a dream." He was white in his face, his bones went out of joint, his knees buckled together, that great proclamator. "What do you think of Him, Pilate?"
"I wash my hands."
"No, you never. He's still on your hands."

34 He's on the hands of every man, this afternoon, that hears the Message of Jesus Christ. That's right.
Oh, my. What do you think of Him? Whose Son is He? Why, in birth, He was wonderful, in His birth. Do you believe it? In His birth, He was wonderful. In wisdom, there was never a man that spoke like this Man. Do you believe that? In sacrifice, He was perfect; in death, He was a Redeemer. When He rose, He proved He was God. Hallelujah! That's right. He said He was. When He was here on earth, He said He was God. He looked like God. He acts like God. He preached like God. He rose like God. He was God. Hallelujah! Emmanuel inveiled in flesh, walking among man. He was God, Emmanuel. He fulfilled the Father. He's thrilled the hearts of the poets and great men down through the ages. And every man that ever amounted to a hill of beans, was somebody who put their trust in Him, as the Son of God.

35 Stonewall Jackson was asked, one time, "How can you stand with this small of a group of men?" And asked, "How can you stand like that? And with opposition so great." He kicked his boot on the ground, he said, "There's never a glass of water goes to my lips, 'less I thank Jesus Christ for it. That's why."
George Washington, before Valley Forge kneeling.
You know the different ones.

36 Let's ask the poet. "What do you think about Him?" He's thrilled the hearts of the poets. Let's ask, today, "Eddy Newton, what do you think about Him? Newton, what do you think?" He was in the room one day; inspiration struck him. "Let's see what you think about Him."
He picked up the pen. He wrote: Amazing grace! how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now I'm found, Was blind...

What think ye of Christ? (1953-12-13 Morning) (William M. Branham Sermons) somebody

What think ye of Christ?

1 To the One who stilled the winds that night on the sea, and stopped the roaring waves, may He come forward to the rescue of this ship there where a thousand lives are in danger. May He quieten the sea. May He send mercy, forgiveness of sin or anything. And may His spirit now come to them and console them and send rescue quickly and may no lives be lost. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
God bless you. Good morning to you my friends. May God's blessings be with you. My... People has always said when I--when I was speaking I always spoke too long. I will do my very best this morning not to do that. I just lay my watch out here and maybe I can watch it, about fifteen minutes.
It's always a pleasure to get to be in this Philadelphian church, and among it's members, and be with it's pastor. I have considered Brother Mattsson Boze to be one of the best friends I have on this earth, as in the ... among the ministers. He is a very dear brother to me. And I love him and I love his people and, because they are God's people.

2 And I had the privilege just now of meeting Brother Stonewell, the converted scientist. And I just wish that this whole church had the burden of souls on their heart as Brother Stonewell has at this time.
I was just thinking as I was speaking to him, of that little baby innocence, and how his heart just yearned and burned. Setting talking, the tears in his eyes, and how the real rough sinner made ... brought down by the power of God to that place. If we could just all get in that attitude.

3 I said, "Brother Stonewell, don't never loose that wonderful something that... It's the cream off of the top of the milk." And I pray that God will keep that man that way, and will bless him because he's a wonderful spirit, he has a ... It's not because he's setting here at the platform. But I... That's true.
And I said, "No matter what anyone says, what any groups of people says, just keep your mind set right on Him, see. And you--they may bank everything around you, it looks so black you can't hardly see over it, just don't worry, He can lift us up above the shadows and He takes us through." His power is a drawing. He said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me."

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

4 And now, tonight is the service we're to have tonight is to be the, course the closing service. We just had the two, and I did this for Brother Boze and for you dear people who are around here. And more I hear about your love for Christ, course the more I love you. That's right. And I believe that we're living in the most wonderful age that's ever been on the earth.
We're going to ... one... Some day over in a great Millennium, we're just going to think, "Oh if I'd just a knowed it would been this a way, what I would a done." See. "Oh, how much more I could of done if I'd just knowed what it was going to be."
Well now, you don't know it but by faith we act. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Is that right? See. Faith doesn't see, it doesn't with these eyes, it sees with the inward eyes, see. All the Christian armor, the whole armor of Christianity is supernatural. There's nothing to be seen. It's... The whole person deals with the supernatural.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

5 Look at the Christian armor, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. Is that right? See. All those things are the Christian armor, see. That's the inside man that by faith looks through these eyes and sees the things that is not.
Abraham was a man who being old and his life was ... stream was dead within him, and Sarah his wife was near a hundred. "And yet he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but was strong giving glory to God." See. For he endured seeing Him who was invisible. He didn't have to look at the natural, he seen the supernatural all the time. That's the way we want to do, look at the unseen.

Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

6 What is the unseen? Well for your healing, God promised you healing, God said it's there. Now you ... How many believes that's the truth say, "Amen." I just like to hear... The word amen means, "So be it." Did you ... How many would say, "I would like to have a acorn tree, oak tree in my front yard." And somebody gives you an acorn.
Now you've got the tree in seed form. Is that right? Well you just might as well rejoice because you got the tree. Is that right? You just got it in seed form but it will--it will produce. And you take this acorn and you put it in the ground, a little box somewhere and set it in the house and keep it watered. The first thing you know, up comes a little acorn tree. Is that right?

7 Then you trans-set it out into the yard and it just keeps growing. But you can praise God just as soon as you get the acorn. Is that right? Because you've got the tree already. Is that right? Now when God said, "I'm the Lord that healeth thee." Just start praising. You got it, you got it right then.
You say, "Well, I don't see any results but that's don't make any difference, you got it anyhow, see. Cause the Word of God is a seed. Is that right? And we are sowed with the incorruptible seed of God, see. It can't perish, it's incorruptible. And I ... Here's a statement that I usually make in the healing services, "The right mental attitude towards any divine promise of God will bring it to pass," see. Because it's a seed. It has to.

Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

8 And the right mental attitude, you just take the right mental attitude towards any divine promise, watch it materialize, see. No matter how it looks, if it looks impossible, if God said so He makes it possible [unclear words] wonderful.
All right, now, I told Billy this morning... He said, "Now daddy, you will have them people up there till they won't get their dinner or nothing else and we've got to get out of this hotel at a certain time." Said, "You start preaching, I know you."
I said, "Get a seat and set down. Give me fifteen minutes." He's got his seat. He's watching me. And here I am done going into my fifteen minutes. That's the way it goes though, isn't it?

9 But, well, I tell you, it's just so real. You see, I have a food that I eat that the world knows nothing about. And your spirit coming to me in faith believing what I'm telling you is the truth is the food that I live on. That's my eternal life. If I don't feed this natural man it will die. And if I don't feed this spiritual man it will die.
Now our brother scientist setting here would know that anything that doesn't eat very much and just keeps going, dieting, dieting, your stomach shrinks. And then if you become eating a whole lot, your stomach ... you require more. I sure am a glutton on this I tell you. I really require a whole lot of it. Because I ... my capacity just has no limits.
I've often said, "If I was just a little bigger maybe I could feel better." You know and... If it was I don't know how it could contain it. I believe we will have to have an immortal body to contain ... I think of... What about it friend?

10 Now we're just all home folks here, aren't we? So now just ... What ... When the battle's all over, the last shot has been fired and arms is stacked, smoke is all died down, and we set down for that Wedding Supper. My, could you imagine that? I can just think of it. Look down to that great table set yonder for hundreds of miles.
I look down through there and I look across and here sets Mattsson-Boze setting right here. Brother Stonewall, all these brethren setting along there. I hear them say, "There's Brother Branham, he made it." Oh, my! You know, there's bound to be a few tears run down, isn't it?
I look across there and I think, "My looky there, there's my old dad. There's mother, there's my wife, my children. Well, here we all are here." And the tears will start running down our cheeks. The angelic beings standing back and soft angelic music is going. What a morning, Hum!
Then I can see as we're looking across the table to one another, and looking down through there seeing who all there. The tears running down our cheeks as we reach across the table to one another's hands and grip it like that across the table.

11 Then I can hear the Angels move back and bow their heads. I look come out walking yonder from behind those doors, there He comes, the King of kings, the Lord of lords. Walk down along the table and wiping each ones eyes and putting His arm around them say, "Now don't cry, it's all over now," see. "All of them's here. There's not any of them gone, they're all here. Now enter into the joys of the Lord."
Oh, my heart jumps when I think of it. That's not these little fiction stories of Santa Claus. That's "Thus saith the Lord," see. That's the seed that's right now becoming materialized right now, it's moving in.
The Lord bless you. Now we're going to have a word of prayer, and then go right into the service for just a few moments. Father, we love You and our hearts are bleeding to You. And now it is fallen Thy poor unprofitable servant's time to speak just a few moments. And I pray that You will help us, not knowing what to say, but knowing that Thou hast said, "If you will open your mouth, I will put the words in."

12 So You said, "Take no thought what you shall say, for it's not you that speaks, it's Your Father that dwelleth in you, He doeth the speaking." And I believe that's the truth. I know it is the truth for You said so. And You are all truth, the very fountain of truth. There's nothing contaminated come out of it, nothing wrong, nothing that will lie. It's got to be the resource of all truth. And from there You said these words.
Now God, bless us today. Bless this little church. Bless its humble, little pastor here, our brother and all the new brothers and Brother Stonewell and the strangers in our gates. And make us all a blessing to Thy kingdom today, as we bless each other. In Jesus Christ's name we ask it. Amen.
I might be able to open up the Bible leafs, but there's only One who can open the Scripture. In the Book of Revelations it said there was a book that was sealed with seven seals. And no man in Heaven, no man in earth, or no one beneath the earth was worthy to come and take it and to open the book and to loose the seals.

Luke 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Revelation 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

13 And then John saw a Lamb that as had been slain from the foundation of the world, and it came and taken the book and opened the seals and the--all the angelic beings cried, "Thou art worthy, for Thou was slain from the foundation of the world."
And that's ... I might turn back the pages like this, I might by some theology be able to give you my views of it, but there's only One can open it, that's the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. And may His presence now come and take the Word of God and place it in each heart just where it has need of. I pray that He will do it, while I read some of It out of the Word ... out of the Bible.

Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Revelation 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

14 In the 22nd chapter of Saint Matthew beginning with the 41st verse. I wish to read down the 46th verse inclusive. Now I'm... As everyone knows that I'm not a preacher, as I would call a preacher. I'm as I said a ... the spare tire. And you only use the spare tire when you got a flat. But we haven't got a flat this morning, but it just happened to be time to speak just a few moments. And you pray with me as I talk to you about this text.
And while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? And they said unto him, The son of David.
And He said unto them, How then does David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
If David then called him Lord, how is he his son?
And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
May He add His blessings to that Word. And now for a few moments I'd like to take this if you'd call it a text. What think ye of Christ? After you've seen all these meetings and everything, what do you think of Christ? Whose Son is He?

Matthew 22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

Matthew 22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

Matthew 22:44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Matthew 22:45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

Matthew 22:46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

15 That's been an old dispute through the ages, through the scientist, and through the evolutionists and so forth. What was Christ, who was He? And it's just as simple as... The question is, which was first, the hen or the egg? You've heard that, which, the hen come from the egg and which was first the hen or egg?
Why the hen was. God made the hen and the hen laid the egg. That's just a simple as anything but they always ask me, "The hen come out of the egg, so how did ... which was first, hen or egg?" So God made the hen, the hen laid the egg. The hen was first.
And now that's the same thing about scientific research of the blood stream of Jesus Christ. We all know that Christ was the virgin borned Son of God. And many unbelievers today try to deny that the woman could have the baby without first having a sexual desire from ... being borned of sex by the male.

16 Well, they said that a hen could not lay an egg without ... if it couldn't be fertile, of course, if the male bird... She can lay an egg, but she ... the egg won't hatch unless it's been with the male, see. And a scientist once told me ... Not speaking scientist because my brother's here, but there was a scientist once went hunting with me out in the west. And I met him and he was about the roughest fellow I ever seen.
He said, "Do you mean to tell me," when I told him I was a preacher he said, "You look too intelligent to be that."
And I said, "Well," I said, "Well, not disputing your words, sir, but I believe that's the mark of intelligence."
And he said, "Well anybody would believe such a story as that."
And I said, "Well, what do you mean?"
And he said, "Why such as that virgin birth." He said, "You know you know better than that."
I said, "No, sir. I will admit I don't know any better." I said, "That's just all I know, see."

17 And He said, "Well, you mean to tell me that woman could have a baby without being..." Said, "That was Joseph that man that she was going with, it was a little slip-up, like we have all the time."
I said, "Oh no, no. God makes no slip-ups. That was absolutely God's Son."
He said, "Well there is no such a thing."
I said, "You mean there's not a Creator who made the heavens and earth?"
He said, "No, of course not." He said, "Oh, it's psychology."
I said, "Well how did the world get here."
Said, "It was here when I come here."
And I said, "Yes, that's right. And the room you was borned in was there when you got there. And the furniture was arranged, but some intelligence had to arrange it that way, that's exact..."
Why if... It would be silly if I'd say, "Well, how did that watch come?" Well, it's just a watch that's all, it just happened to be a watch. Well, now the timing, the jewels and everything, anybody with ... was mentally balanced right would know that some intelligent made that watch. Had to time it, and regulate it, and put the hands, and jewels and the operation.

18 Well, then how much greater is your body than this watch? See, because it was a man that made this watch. And somebody had to make the man. So a person says that we just happened to be, that shows there's a mental deficiency somewhere. That's right, it...
So he said, "Well, now," he begin to tell me the ethics of Darwin and so forth about how evolution came in to exist. How the world and the sun and the moon, you've read it perhaps, had a love affair and chipped off a little piece and it flew off and that made the world.
And the first man was a sponge and he wore a little wart on this side and out come an arm. And then he decided he wanted a little arm on the other side, so he rolled a few thousand years over on that side, another arm come out.

19 I said, "Look, fellow, I'm kind of weak in faith." I said, "I don't believe that, I can't believe it." I said, "I just believe the way God said it was." I said, "The only way you can prove that's by faith. You can't prove it any other way." And I said, "My faith's too weak for that." I said, "I just ... I haven't got that much faith. I just believe that God made it the way He said He did."
And He said--I said, "The..." He said, "Oh," about the virgin birth, he said, "it's proven, Rev. Branham, that corn, everything else has to have a pollen. The pollen from the corn and for the trees and how the bees pack it and everything has to have actual male and female."
I said, "Sure, there was a male in this respect." I said, "That was God."
"Well is God a man?"
I said, "God's a Spirit."
"Oh, impossible to contact the actual human being, it has to be the sex part."

20 I said, "Oh, no." I said, "Now look, you will admit to me, will you, that the woman had the baby? We will say that that was right, the woman had the baby, and He was Jesus."
"Yes, that--that--I will go with you that far because there's some kind of a something's going on through the world and to come down in history, and so forth that there was One here called Jesus, but He wasn't no virgin borned."
I said, "Then we will admit that He had a natural mother."
"Yes."
"Now He... In your estimation He'd have to have an actual father, a earthly man here to be His father or He could not of been born."
He said, "That's exactly right."
I said, "Will you stick with that, Mr. Jeffries?"
He said, "I will."

21 I said, "All right, I want to ask you something then. If this woman had the baby, and you said it was impossible, it had to have a natural father, it had to have a earthly father the same as it had a earthly mother."
Said, "That's exactly truth."
I said, "Then how did the first man get here without father or mother? Where did he come from? Let him be tadpole, monkey, whatever he wanted to be. According to science he had to have a father and a mother, is that right?" I said, "Who was his father and mother?"
Well, he asked no more questions from that time since. You... It just settled it, that was all. He didn't have... Oh, I tell you, their argument is thinner than the broth made out of a shadow of a chicken that starved to death. I tell you, they just haven't got a ... they haven't got a leg to stand on.
No, sir, Jesus Christ was the Son of God. I believe it with all my heart. And the great Holy spirit overshadowed that virgin and she brought forth a son according to God's Word. For it said, "A virgin shall conceive and bring forth a Child, His name shall be called Emmanuel." And I ... He was God with us, I believe that.
And not God that will be with us for a space, but be with us forever. We are His children, living in His presence now.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

22 And the weakness of the church today is one of the fundamental reasons that we see no more going on in the Church. First thing I think is because there's not enough travel of soul to bring the person in contact with his Maker.
And another thing is this, is the person who does find God, doesn't realize who He is after he's found God. See. If you only realized that you're setting now with Christ Jesus. That many of the people are trying to post it off to some other great age and all healing over in the Millennium and so forth. And all the miracles over in the Millennium.

23 What are we going to need miracles in the Millennium, when we're supernatural beings? See. How are we going to need those thing... Now, the Bible said, "Now are we the sons of God." Not ... Now it's ... is not now a present tense. "Now are we the sons." Not we will be, we are now. We are this morning, we are this very hour. "Now are we the sons of God seated together, set together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Now.
Right this very minute we're seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Every man, by one spirit we're all baptized into one Body. Become members of this body by Holy Spirit baptism. And now we're seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Free from judgment. We can never go to the judgment. How can you be judged twice? By ... You ... God judged Jesus Christ and He put our judgment upon Christ and Christ paid our judgment at Calvary. If we're in Christ, we're secured in Christ. By... How do we get into Christ? "By one Spirit we're all baptized into one body." Is that right?

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

24 We're into that body of Jesus Christ, and while we're in there, we've accepted His punishment in our stead. "He, knowing no sin yet was made sin for us." And then He bore our sickness, He bore our sins. And we come into Him, we are free from these judgments.
God cannot justly judge me or you the second time if He's already accepted us in Christ Jesus, and punished His own Son for us. How can He punish us then when He's already had Christ has paid our price?
If I go down to the pawn shop and I've got something... That's just like the human life, the devil put us in a pawn shop. That's right. Devil put us in a pawn shop because of transgression. But if you've got something pawned and you go down with the ... and get that out of pawn, and get a receipt for it, you have a right to take it out.
Now there's no need of trying to go down... If I had my watch in pawn and you went down and took it out for me, there's no need of me going trying to pay it again. I can't pay it again because it's already paid. Oh, when I think of that, something on the inside of me, under this fifth rib on the left side, leaps higher than the sky.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

25 Because I know the devil had me in the pawn shop one time, because of sin and transgression, but Jesus Christ took me out of the pawn shop and redeemed me back to God. That makes me His Son this morning. And it is not here what ... yet appear what I shall be in the final end. But I know I will have a body like His own glorious body, for I shall see Him as He is, free from sickness, free from sin.
Well, sure He was the Son of God. It's been the aged old question, man seeking and hungering after God. If I should call this morning and find out a few of His friends. Course now we will take His enemies for a minute. Let's ask somebody by Scriptural authority.

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

26 We could go on, and on, and on. But let's just act ... get some Scriptural authority for who Jesus Christ was. What think ye of Him? If I ... Course His friends, you say, "Brother Branham will testify of Him." Let's ask His enemies about Him then. Let's see what the enemy says. The devil himself knowed that was the Son of God.
Why, the preachers back there, they didn't know He was the Son of God. They said, "He's a chief mind reader. He's Beelzebub, the chief of the devil." But the devil said, "We know who You are, the holy One of God. Why comest Thou to torment us before our time comes?" There the devil said He was the Son of God. Is that right?

Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Mark 1:24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Luke 4:34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

27 Look at the vilest, dirtiest enemy He ever had was Judas Iscariot. When Judas Iscariot realized what he had done and he seen that immaculate Son of God hanging yonder between the heavens and earth, suffering, bleeding, His body... He took that silver he had bought, them thirty pieces of silver, and throwed it before the high priest and said, "I betrayed innocent blood." That's right.
His lowest enemy testified that He was the Son of God. When He died, the heavens and earth turned black, smutty black. God testifying of it. The Roman centurion put his hand over His heart that pierced His side and said, "Truly, that was the Son of God." Is that right?

Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Mark 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

28 Let's look at old Pilate standing there all out of humor. Got up early in the morning called to the judgment seat and stuck a wreath around His head and set it on there. Waking up after a big party the night before, perhaps, and setting there and all fussed up with them Jews anyhow. And he was condemning Him and everything else.
And I hear a horse coming down the street of a gallop. What is it? It's the palace page coming in. And he runs down before the emperor and falls down before him. And presents a note to him from his wife. Let's look at Pilate standing there, and he's all tore up and his teeth set. He begins to read this note, his hands begin to tremble, his knees begin to knock together, he turns pale white.

29 Let's look over his shoulder and see what he's reading. "Have nothing to do with this just Man for I've suffered many things today in a dream because of Him." A pagan wife writing a note to her pagan husband, "Don't have nothing to do with this Man for today I've suffered many things in a dream."
Pilate said, "Bring me some water. I find no fault in Him at all." What was it? His enemies testifying. That's right. God makes everything quiver and shake at that name, Jesus Christ. Brother, that's where the church today has lost the solemnity of that name, the power of that name.
When Moses went down into Egypt, if those people... He had a staff he packed before him. How ridiculous. See that old man out there, real old, eighty years old, white beard way down like this, and white hair hanging down his back. And here he goes with his wife setting astraddle of a mule and a child on each hip.
Here goes Moses just a praising God, walking down like that. And the people say, "Where you going, Moses?"
"I'm going down to Egypt to take over."

Matthew 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

30 Could you imagine? Nonsense. An old man eighty years old with a wife and two children and a donkey and a stick in front of him going down to take over the greatest mechanized unit in the world. There was no... Why, Egypt had conquered the world. But he said, "How do you know you're going to take over?"
"God said so and I believe it." That's right. That's right, God said so. And he did it. Amen. For he took God at His Word. When God said what He did about Christ, I believe it's the truth. But if those Egyptians could a ever got that stick out of Moses hand, they'd a had him whipped.
That wasn't God ... that wasn't Moses' stick, that was God's judgment rod. That's what hit the rock. That's what he stretched out. And if they could of ever took that stick away from him, they'd a had it whipped. But he guarded that stick with his life.

31 And today if the people would only regard the name of Jesus that was left in the church. He said, "Whatever you ask the Father in My name, that will I do." He gave the church His name to marry, bury, baptize, everything in the world that we do. "Whatever you do in word and deed, do it all in the name of Jesus Christ."
But we lost he sacredness of that name. We use it in vain and jokes and ev... You can't put bitter and sweet water out of the same fountain, friend. You've got to get to a place till you reverence that name and believe it, and know it, and use it, just exactly right.
Now, if I was called this morning a witness of some of His friends, what if I'd call Noah today. And say, "Noah, come down out of the heavens and come here just a minute. I want you to testify to this audience this morning. What think ye of Christ? Whose Son was He?"
Why Noah would say, "It's the Son of Him who called me that day out in the field and said, 'Build an ark for the saving of your household.'" Noah would recognize quickly that was Him.
What if I could call Isaiah the prophet today. I'd say, "Isaiah, come down this morning out of the great realms of Glory and testify to this audience whose Son do you think He is?"
Isaiah would say ... [Gap in the audio] " Voice speaking to me saying, 'Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: that his name shall be called Counselor, Prince of Peace, mighty God, The everlasting Father.'" Why, he would know quickly that was the Son of God. Why he was a prophet, and under inspiration.

Genesis 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

32 If I called Job, I'd say, "Job, you was an old man. You were broke out in boils, everything you had was lost. Your children was gone. Your wife had almost turned against you and said, 'Why don't you curse God and die the death?' What think ye of Christ? Job, whose Son is He?"
He'd say, "I was in distress, I was setting on a ash heap. The church members had turned their back to me seven days trying to give me consolation. What a consolation. While I was setting there scraping my boils, a little fellow named Elihu came down and begin to explain to me about God. And when I did, I saw a vision. And I said, 'I know my Redeemer liveth, and at the last days He will stand on the earth. Though the skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God, whom I shall see for myself. Mine eyes shall behold and not another.'" Certainly.
What if I could bring Ezekiel, say, "Ezekiel, will you unlock the doors of God, move down here this morning in the Philadelphian church. I want you to testify. What think ye of Christ, Ezekiel?"
He say, "When I saw Him coming, the clouds was like dust under His feet." What a testimony! My!

Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Ezekiel 1:28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

Ezekiel 10:4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.

33 I'd ask another one who would come. I'd say, "Daniel," that great prophet, 'What think ye of Christ? You come out here just a minute, Daniel and give your testimony to this Philadelphian church this morning.' What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?"
I can hear Daniel say, "Why I was standing one day writing as the Holy Spirit was upon me, and I saw Him as a stone hewed out of the mountain, rolled into Babylon and crushed down the kingdoms of the world." Yes, sir. I can hear him say, "And another thing, one day for my testimony they throwed me into a den of lions. While I was standing there, and the first thing I seen lions. I heard their soft padded hoofs a coming, or their feet coming rather, paws. And I could feel their breath almost on me. I knowed it was... In that dark dungeon in a few minutes I'd be tore together. And all of the sudden Something moved every fiber in my body. I felt Something tingling, my face turn hot and chills went through me. And I see where the lion's ... eyes of these lions coming. And the first thing you know, they began to turn their head and walked away. And when that feeling left me I looked, standing in the corner, and there stood that One who is the Son of God, standing there. God had sent His Angels to deliver me." I can hear him say that, "That power was upon me. My muscles were just shaking. The power was going through me, tears was coming down my cheeks. He's the Son of God." Yes, sir.

Daniel 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

Daniel 2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Daniel 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

34 There was some more fellows down there one time by the name of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Let's call them down this morning and ask them to testify whose Son is He. Let's watch them when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego ... "What do you think of Him? Whose Son is He? Now you lived years before He was ever born."
Well he'd say, "It was one day down in Babylon there, they'd made a proclamation, the king had, and sealed it which could not be broke. Anybody that wouldn't serve their gods and idols and so forth and be popular with the rest of the bunch would be throwed into a fiery furnace. But we purposed in heart in a prayer meeting one night, that we would not defile ourself with them gods and we was going to stand of God's Word regardless of what the rest of the world said." Amen. I kind of feel religious right now. Think, brother! I think, yes sir, "We purposed in our heart that we're not going to defile ourself with the rest of the world."

Daniel 3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Daniel 3:18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

35 All right, and the heat come on. Oh, my to that morning. Just think of what it was. "There they he't the furnace seven times hotter than it ever was he't. And we had to walk into the fiery furnace. But we knowed that something inside of us that moved us and a spirit that testified to us that we were God's children, that God was able to deliver us from the fiery furnace. But never the less, we'd never bow down to their image. Then on that great morning when we begin to walk with our hands tied behind us up that gang plank to walk into the fiery furnace. King Nebuchadnezzar setting back said, 'Now we will just burn some of this holy-roller religion out of them.'"
Could you imagine burn the Holy Ghost out of a man? When the Holy Ghost is fire itself. Fire fights fire. Yes, sir. Could you imagine something like that?
Here they come walking up like that, they'd walk into the fiery furnace. My, what a time! I can hear Shadrach say to Meshach, "Brother, have you prayed through?"

Daniel 3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

36 "It's all settled." Amen. "Let's move on up." What think ye of Christ? And then He got right up to the edge where they was to jump off into the fiery furnace and there it was about the darkest hour they'd ever seen. Coming up to this fiery furnace and just about time they got ready to step in...
Let's turn our camera this morning and look on up yonder in heaven, break out of this dimension and look up yonder. When things look so dreary here there's always something going on in another world. That's right. Yes, sir.
I can see Him setting as a Prince setting there and His great garments hanging around Him. Hallelujah. Daniel saw Him one time too, and he said, "He come like the ancient of days, whose hair was white as wool."
While He was setting there on His throne, I can see and Angel went up to Him by the name of Gabriel, with His sword pulled. And said, "Master, have You looked down in Babylon this morning? Why they're about to burn up three believers down there. The heat's really come on. Yes, sir. And they're about to burn up three believers. Have You noticed them?"

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

37 I can hear Him say, "I've watched them all night long." Hallelujah. "His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me." He watches you, He watches over me. Yes, sir. "His eye is on the sparrow. I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free. For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me."
He's standing there, said, "Yes, Gabriel, I know you're a good Angel. You could go down there and destroy that thing. But I've watched them all night long. I heard their prayer meeting. I know they believe Me yet they've never seen Me, yet they believe Me anyhow."

38 I can see another Angel come up and His name's Wormwood. He destroyed the antediluvian world with waters. He has control of the waters. He's going to do something in the last days with them, turn them all bitter.
So, I can hear Him run up right quick and fall down before his Majesty and say, "Oh, Master, have You looked down there?" Angels are concerned about what we believe about Christ. "Have You considered down there, they're just about to burn up three believers. I have controls of the water at Your command. Just let me go down, I will wash Babylon off the face of the earth."
I believe He could of done it. Yes, sir. "Let me go down there, I will change the picture this morning. There is man who believe in You. They're mortals and yet they believe. They've never seen, but they know that Moses said that the Lord your God shall rise up a prophet likened unto me. They knew that He was coming by faith they looked forward to the coming of the Son of God."
Let's hear them testify saying I... Then I looked back there and I see Him. He'd say, "Woodworm, You're a good Angel. You've obeyed Me. You've done just what I told you. But I can't let you go, for this is a man-sized job. I'm going myself."

39 I can hear Him reach over there and say, "Come here east wind, west wind, north, and south." I tell you everything's in the solar systems and in the heavens obeys Him and turns at His command. But the heart of man thinks they know more than God does and He can't touch the stony heart of man.
How I think this morning He could say, "Let winter change to summer, summer to winter." It'd obey Him like that. He could say, "Mars, you go over here, Jupiter, you over there." It'd obey Him. Yes, sir. He'd speak it. There He stands in His Majesty. When man fails to recognize Him. When He stood yonder, "Who, what is man that Thou art mindful of him."
When He stood there and in the space when there was nothing else, before there was even a star in the heavens, before there was a sun in the heavens, He blowed off His hand [Brother Branham makes a blowing sound.] and stars, moons, and worlds, and systems come into existence by His spoken Word. Hallelujah!

Psalm 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Hebrews 2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

40 My when I think of that, that's my God! Hallelujah! And a part of Him lives in me now. Because it's now I have everlasting Life. And every man and woman in here has everlasting Life by the creative Word of God Who spoke things into existence. Hallelujah! Yes, sir. Don't think I'm excited, I know where I am.
Look brother, when ... I tell you when I think of that it takes you out into another world that the world knows nothing about. There I see Him standing there in His Majesty. He said, "Come here east wind, north, south, come here. Get under that big thunderhead over yonder, that great big pillar of cloud yonder. I'm going to drive you this morning like horses."

41 See Him raise from His throne, His garments drop around Him, walk out and set down on this big cloud, thunderhead yonder. Reach over and get a hold of the zigzag lightening and crack her through the skies like that. He's going to drive them winds like horses. Amen.
Why? They was in trouble. About that time Shadrach looked over and said, "God bless you, Meshach, Abednego, we're walking in the name of the Lord." The heat is on, the furnace is hot. They're making that last step and just as they stepped into the fiery furnace that chariot come rushing from Heaven like a rushing mighty wind, come into the fiery furnace with a fan in His hand who fanned back all the breezes away from them. Stood there and talked to them.
The king said, "How many did you put in there?"
Said, "Three."
Said, "I see four, and the other One is like the Son of God."

Daniel 3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

42 Hallelujah. That infidel, unbelieving, ungodly king had to recognize who is Jesus Christ? He's the Son of the living God. Amen. What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He? Sure, He's the Son of God.
Let's ask John the Baptist. Let's call him down this morning, let his testimony ring out here with us. What do you say about Him, John? Why the... You received the Holy Ghost six months before you was borned. Yes, sir. You received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. You was dead in your mother's womb and when the first name of Jesus Christ was spoken, my, and that little mother Mary went up there to Elisabeth, her cousin, put her arms around her and hugged her.
She was to be to mother, six months John was yet and hadn't seen no ... hadn't received any life yet. She said, "I'm scared because of the baby's condition and so forth."
And a little mother Mary said, "Well, I'm going to have a baby, too." And when she told what His name was, little John got the Holy Ghost and begin to leap and jump in the mother's womb for joy.

Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

43 And Mary said ... Martha said, "When comes--whence cometh the mother of my Lord? For as soon as thy salutation come into my ears, my baby leaped in the womb for joy."
And I think if the first the name of Jesus Christ was ever spoke through mortal lips brought life to a dead baby, what ought It to do to a borned-again church? My! That's Filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Notice my dear friend ... Billy, my fifteen minutes is [unclear words], but I'm still feeling good. Let me alone just a few more minutes. All right, when I think of that, how that--that power of God in there.
If I'd ask John, I'd say, "Who is this Man? What do you think of Christ? Whose Son is He?"
John would say, "When I was ... received the Holy Ghost in my mother's womb, so I'm told. At nine years old I went to the," not seminary. he went, not in some school. He went out in the wilderness to live with God. Boy! There ... that's the seminary we all need today.
Not so much about genealogy, but a little bit on your knees, what settles the question.

Luke 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Luke 1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

44 There when he was thirty years old, he came out of the wilderness, not with a tuxedo on or his collar turned around the back, called Reverend, Doctor, Father, or something another. But he come out of the wilderness with a sheep skin wrapped around him and he preached repentance till he [unclear words] the regions around about.
Brother, he was filled with the Holy Ghost. He didn't draw any punches. He laid the axe to the root of the tree. And every tree that didn't bring forth good fruit was hewed down. That's what we need today is some more John the Baptist filled with the Holy Ghost, in that manner that will not pull punches, but will tell the truth regardless of who it hurts. The churchanity, handle with gloves on. Take off the gloves and handle it bare-handed.
There John, said, "What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?"

Matthew 3:10 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Luke 3:9 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

45 He said, "The One that told me in the wilderness, 'Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on, He is the One's going to baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire. Whose fan is in His hand and He will thoroughly purge His floor and will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire, and the wheat will it take to the garner.'"
What a testimony of John the Baptist. Let's call his mother. If there's anybody ought to know who He was, His mother ought to know whose Son it is. Don't you think so? Mary come down from the Glory Land just a few minutes and testify to the Philadelphian church this morning. What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He? Now you're His mother, you ought to know."

John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

46 She said, "I didn't know a man." Hallelujah! "I didn't know a man, but one day on a Monday when it was wash day, I had some water in my arm, in my hand, I was going up to the well from the virgin springs. And I was going along and a great Light flew before me and there stood Gabriel the archangel. Said, 'Hail, Mary, blessed art thou among women for you're going to have a baby knowing no man.' Said, "How can these things be, Lord?"
She said ... The Angel said, "The Holy Ghost shall overshadow you, and that holy thing that will be born of you shall be called the Son of God." Amen. I believe Mary's testimony is right. Right! What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?
I don't care how many atheists rise, how many this, that, or the other, He's still the virgin borned Son of God. Yes, sir.
She said, "I didn't know a man but he that said to me, 'Go ... that there--that--that I'd be overshadowed by the Holy Ghost and it would be called the Son of God.'"

Luke 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Luke 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

47 What if I could call this morning... What if I could go call E. Howard Cadle, an old friend of mine with Cadle Tabernacle, was a drunken sop laying out yonder, and the flies blow in his mouth and the vomiting in a bar room and a... What do you think if I could go to the celestial realms of Glory and call Howard Cadle down this morning to testify? You've heard his broadcast for years through here.

48 A bosom friend of mine down from Milltown, Indiana, where I pastored a little old Baptist church down there. I'd say, "Brother Cadle, I want you this morning, in the face of the Philadelphian Church, tell me who you think the Son of God is?" Hallelujah.
If he could walk down tonight he'd say, "I was a drunken sop. I was laying yonder drunk and [unclear words] and dying. And a little mother out behind a corn crib somewhere praying in the name of Jesus Christ. When He sent His Angel to deliver me and made a minister that sent thousands of souls to the Glory Land."
And I'd say to that little old Boston shoe cobbler, Dwight Moody, "What think ye of Christ?"
If he could rise from the dead this morning he'd say, "He is the Son of God."

49 What would I say this morning if I called little Georgie Carter, my pianist from down at Milltown Baptist church who laid on her back nine years and eight months, only weighed thirty-six pounds, with TB. It went all the way through her. Her church, the church of Christ didn't believe in divine healing. She heard a testimony. And if she could stand here and testify this morning.
One day there, where I never seen her, knowed nothing about her. And the Angel of the Lord come to me and said, "Go down to Milltown." I didn't even know where it was at. And went down there and today, after eight or nine years ago, she's a living testimony of the power of God.
She'd say, "Jesus Christ is the Son of God that raised from the dead and reproduced Himself incarnated. He has appeared in the way of a vision and has spared my poor life."

50 What if I could go to London, England this morning and call Florence Nightingale, and bring her here to testify on this platform this morning. She'd say, "I was laying with a cancer on the [unclear words] of the stomach. And all hopes was gone. I weighted in the regions of thirty or forty pounds. And there that day Brother Branham, when you were kneeling praying God sent a little dove rushing through the bushes, and come set down on the window there. And when the voice of God come and said, 'I would live,' and I lived by the grace of God and by the power of the resurrection of His Son."
What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?
You say, "Preacher, what you think of Christ? Whose Son is He?" Oh, brother my heart wouldn't let me bleed it out. He's the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley, the Morning Star, the Alpha, Omega, He that was, which is and shall come. Hallelujah! The Son of the living God, my Saviour, my healer, my King. Oh, the present tense of Him now illuminates my soul and burns every fiber in my body with His glorious presence."

51 How could I speak or find words to say what He was. When Isaiah got all tangled up and said, "He's the Father, the everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, the mighty God, how great He was." He said, "He's wonderful." He couldn't even speak it, how could I say it?
Every man or every woman that ever amounted to anything in this life are man and woman who believed Him to be the Son of God. Every poet, every author, everything else that ever amounted to anything believed He was the Son of God.

52 Let's call a few poets together just a few minutes. We could take poets, we could take prophets, we could take authors. Let's call a few poets just a few minutes. I thing Eddie Perronett's one of my favorite. When he was persecuted ... You know his story, the great song writer.
And while in his darkest of persecution, the people said he was a neurotic, he was off in his head. And he's standing ... He said, "I was setting in desk one day..." If we could call him up from the grave this morning, and there he was standing there and the tears running down his cheeks, he caught a vision. And God met right [unclear words] message. And the [unclear words] of the church, when he grabbed his pen and wrote:
All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all [unclear words].
Another one, "What do you think of Him?" He said:
When I survey the wondrous cross
Whereon the Prince of glory died,
All my fame I count but loss,

53 Oh, my, when I think of blind Fanny Crosby, let's call her, see what she thinks of Christ. "You never seen day light in your life, woman, what do you think of Christ?"
Here's what she said:
Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the stream of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee?
Hallelujah! Oh, a blind woman.
Another one said:
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever:
Some day He's coming--oh, glorious day!
What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He? I believe He's the resurrected, immortal Son of God that's living among us right here this morning. I believe this we feel right now is His presence. Do you believe it?

54 What think ye of Christ? You heard the Gospel preached, you've felt His power, you've seen His works, what think ye of Christ? How many of you believe He's the Son of God? Raise your hand. Amen. Let's stand to our feet. Everyone stand to your feet and I want the pianist to give us a chord. Let's give Him praise everybody.
I will praise Him, I will praise Him,
Praise the Lamb for sinners slain.
Give Him glory all ye people,
For His ... wash away each stain.

55 Do you love Him? What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He? Let's say together: "He is the Son of the Living God."
All right let's sing now. All right, give us a chord. "I will praise Him." How many knows the song? Raise your hand. All right. All right, give us a chord of it if you will brother.
I will praise Him, I will praise Him,
Praise the Lamb for sinners slain.
Give Him glory all ye people,
For His blood has washed away each stain.
Now let's pick it up and sing it again. Come on now, raise your hands.
I will praise Him, I will praise Him.
Praise the Lamb for sinners slain.
Give Him glory all ye people,
For His blood has washed away each stain.
Keep playing it. Keep playing.

56 Now let's bow our heads just a moment. I wonder if there's one here this morning that doesn't know Jesus as their Saviour, would say, "Now I believe He is the Son of God. I want to accept Him as my personal Saviour." Would you raise your hand? Say, "Remember me, Brother Branham, I want to accept Christ as my Saviour." Raise your hand.
God bless you, lady. Someone else? Up in the balcony, anywhere, and say, "I'm not a Christian, Brother Branham, but I believe He is the Son of God. Remember me in a word of prayer." Will you do it, while you raise your hands around over the audience?
God bless you, sir. Someone else say, "Remember me, Brother Branham, I believe now and will accept Jesus as my Saviour."

57 How many hasn't got the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Say, "I want His presence in me. I believe He's the Son of God. I want the Holy Ghost. I'm raising my hand, Brother Branham."
Raise your hand, may God look down now and fill each one of your hearts full of His presence. How many is sick this morning? Say, "I have accepted Him. I've been borned-again and I want Him as my healer now. And the Lamb of God for sinners slain washes away my sin and makes me whole. I'm raising my hand for healing."

58 Raise your hand. God bless you. The same God that overshadowed Mary, is overshadowed this church this morning with His august presence. And I know He's here. All right, while you bow your heads now, everyone of you, let's sing slowly now, I will praise Him. All right.
I will praise Him, I will praise Him.
Praise the Lamb for sinners slain.
Give Him glory all ye people,
For His blood has washed away each stain.
Now with your heads bowed, humming.
Lead us Brother Boze.

What think ye of Christ? (1954-03-21) (William M. Branham Sermons)

What think ye of Christ? (1954-03-21) (William M. Branham Sermons) somebody

What think ye of Christ?

1 [A woman sings, "Down From His Glory."] My heart is thrilled; that's my favorite song. If you only knew the background to that song. My friend composed that song (Booth-Clibborn) in a cornfield one night. With his elbows out, and on his knees out there in prayer, God gave him this song. And I think it's one of the... It's matchless to this day when the deity of Jesus Christ is denied by so many formal believers, that He was no more than just a man, just a prophet. He was Emmanuel. And I'm so thankful.
And it was so beautifully did by our sister. I hope I'm not imposing. And I asked Brother Joseph, either after tonight, before I come to the platform, to sing "Then Jesus Came." I would be very happy to hear it, tonight. That's just got my soul thrilled. I changed my text right now from what I was going to preach on.

2 I'm happy to be here, as always. I'm very happy. I hope I'm not doing anything wrong at this time, but I have a very good friend here which is a Methodist minister, and it's Brother John O'Bannon from Louisville, Kentucky. Would you mind just standing to your feet, just a minute Brother O'Bannon. I don't want to make you conspicuous, but, Brother O'Bannon, so you can see how the Methodists and Baptists get along down in the southern part of the state.
We're very happy to have him here ... been a very good friend of mine. We just had a healing campaign for his brother. I believe it's... I'm not so sure. What was the name of that place in Kentucky? Pardon? Sacramento, Kentucky. And we just had a marvelous time down there in that little city.
And we're expecting God to do great things with the Methodist people; to pour out His Spirit upon them again and give them another old-fashioned revival like they had in the days of Whitfield and Wesley and back in those days. And, they were the latter rain of that day. That's right. They were the latter rain then.
Then the Baptists come along. They were the latter rain to them. It just keeps moving on down. Now, I guess we're all latter rain to us brethren. After a while, if Jesus tarries, there'll be more and more. But all through the ages and through the generations, God has always had a people, someone, who would trust Him and believe Him. And we're so happy that He has.

3 Now tonight, I believe, is the healing service. And this is usually on the afternoon when they just let me come to the platform and speak a little while. I am not a preacher, or what you'd call a preacher. I'm just what's called "spare tire," you know. That is, when you have a flat, then you put your spare tire on. Now, we haven't got a flat, because we've got some good preachers here. But, I just usually fill in the afternoon. It relaxes me to speak, you know, what I do know about the Lord Jesus.
I don't know too much Scripture. And I'm not a theologian by a long ways. And I don't know very much of theology, but I know the Author of this Book, Jesus Christ, and I love Him. My education is limited, and my words are very poor, my grammar. You'll excuse that, I'm sure.

4 This reminds me, here at Fort Wayne sometime ago, there was a man, where the song of Paul Rader used to be here in this city. I think that was about the last great revival that Chicago's ever had; a real city-stricken revival, in the days of Paul Rader, or Moody, or some of those. And he wrote that famous song, "Only Believe." And it's been my theme song. I never heard it until one night I come in, and I didn't know that Paul had written that song; and my pianist was playing it. And it just struck my heart. I've used it all across the country, after the campaigns and hear the people sing it.

5 I remember one time in Arkansas; I was staying at the San Pack Hotel, and just having a marvelous [unclear word]. It's been six or seven years ago, and there was no one else on the field at that day, and the tinsel was hanging everywhere, you know. We was having a marvelous time. And I stepped out; I had to go down the back way to get to the minister so he'd take me for dinner.
And so, I started down the elevator. And the little colored boy standing out there, fixing his shoes up and singing:
Only believe, only believe
All things are possible
Only believe.
I went out, went out through the back way and down the alley; went down trying to ... lower part of the city, there was a mother rocking her baby down there singing:
Only believe, only believe
All things are possible.
I happened to notice and there was some boys playing marbles. A little fellow got down, you know, on his knees, real good, and took aim. He stopped to get some marbles, got up and dusted off his trousers, said:
Only believe, only believe
All things are possible.
I thought it was real cute, how them songs and things that you sing and how that the Lord has been very good. And I'm just thinking that sometime when it's all over and we come together so we're not nervous, or in no hurry, or anything, and we can just have a relaxing time.

6 In this place where Mr. Rader, as I was starting to say, had wrote this song, there was a scholar come in there. He said, "Brother Branham," he said, "your grammar is very poor."
And I said, "Yes, sir. That's right."
And he said, "Oh, I noticed some of your grammatic mistakes tonight." Said, "Oh, it was terrible."
And I said, "Yes, sir. I didn't get much education." I said, "I was raised in a very poor family, ten children." And I said, "I was the oldest. And I had to make a living for the rest of them."
He said, "Well, that's no excuse now." He said, "You're a man."
I said, "Well, that's right, too. But" I said, "since the Lord sent me out to pray for the sick, I'm never alone enough to study grammar." I said, "I just have to pray for the sick."
And he said, "Oh, but you could take a correspondence." Said, "Now, for instance, tonight I heard you use a word there." He said, "You said, 'All you people, now, come up in the polepit here.'" He said, "Why, did you know them people would appreciate you more if you said pulpit instead of polepit?"
I said, "Well, brother, I don't know where you were tonight." I said, "I believe what them people want, would be to live the right kind of life, and produce what I'm talking about. They don't care whether I say pulpit or polepit." That's right, isn't it?
As the old saying is: "The proof of the pudding is the eating thereof." Isn't it? That's right. And I'm not trying to support my ignorance, but I remember... I wish I did know better words and grammar. But if it's taking anything away from Jesus, I'd rather know Jesus, anytime, and know Him in the power---as Paul said---in the power of His resurrection.

7 I know, sitting before me, like every person here, there's a dark pit sitting right before every one of us. Every time our heart beats, we're going one closer beat to that pit; that's called death. Every man will have to come to that place some day if Jesus tarries. And when my nearness draws to that place, and I know I'm going in there, I won't care whether I'm saying polepit or pulpit. I won't care what my grammar is, but I want to know just one thing. I know this one thing: I know Him in the power of His resurrection, that when He calls from among the dead, I want to come out from among them (That's right.) when He calls.

8 Now, this afternoon, before... We can lay these lids down on the Bible like that, of course; but to open it, no man is worthy. The Bible said, I believe, John searched the heavens and there no one worthy to take the book, open it, loose the seals out of it, or anything. But there was a Lamb, been slain from the foundation of the world. He was the one that was able to take the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne, and to open it to the people.
And now, while this little group of people is gathered here, just, oh, couple of hours before, maybe, the healing service starts, I thought [unclear words] the radio, hear the broadcast, I'd come down and speak for you a little bit and enjoy these songs. I'll hurry right back, stay in prayer, and come back after awhile, pray for the sick. You pray for me.
I tell you, Brother Joseph was talking about phone calls. Hmm. Well, no wonder my wife is gray-headed at thirty-four, see. She don't only stand the phone calls that come to the house, but she has to meet the public standing, see. And so, it certainly is a job. And now, it is... You have to keep dead to yourself.

9 The other day, my boy, (He's in here somewhere.) he's just a kid---eighteen years old. And so, we was sitting in a place somewhere, and some of the young folks, in there at Wood River, and they playing one of these little old machine boxes, you know, that plays this little old music they had out there. Well, I never even noticed the stuff when it's playing.
So, somebody was playing it, and I noticed his eyes brighten up. And he's watching the kids, you know, what they were doing. Of course, he's just a kid, they do that. And he said, "Ain't that pretty, Daddy?"
I said, "What?"
He said, "What's wrong?"
I said, "Oh, I wasn't noticing."
And so, he said, "Dad, you know what?" He said, "You've just become dead to everything but Jesus Christ."
I said, "That's right. That's a compliment." That's right. Just become dead to everything. I said, "Nothing ever sound but Christ Jesus, and let me stay that way." I only want to know Him. That's all. To know Him is life. Is that right?
And now, may the Lord bless you, now. I'll try my best tonight to do everything that I can to talk to our Lord Jesus to heal all the sickness that's in your midst.

10 Here's something that's been on my heart for twenty-four hours. I don't know whether it's the Lord or not. It's never come to vision. That's what I watch, is the visions, then I've got, "Thus said the Lord"; but this has been impressed on my heart. I spoke with Billy today at the hotel about it. Our meetings are too short. We just come... Even our meeting, from, say, five nights; that's still too short. I'd like to come to a city, this size, and stay a month or two, see. And just go to a place where ... because most of the time, just about the time you say, "This'll take place," and "That'll take place," but you're gone.
Mr. Brewer called me from Pete's River ... not Pete's River, but Wood River. And he said, "Brother Branham, we have taken you on tape recording." And said, "And everything that you said while under inspiration, the different things that was going to take place," said, "everything has absolutely fulfilled to the dot," see.
Well, it's God.
He said, "Just come back just one night, just one night." Said, "Could you come tomorrow?" (That was tonight.)
I said, "No, I'm in Chicago."

11 And now, my meetings have never been able to be set up, because ... like it ought to be. Like Brother Roberts, and them, does, because Brother Roberts has his meetings set two and three years ahead. And he goes to a city and he can stay there till it's over. That's all. He can stay as long as he wants to; set his meetings for two or three weeks at a time, sometimes six weeks at a time.
But mine... I can be right in the midst of a meeting, He'll give me a vision and send me somewhere else, and just walk right out and leave it, see. So, I can't have meetings like those men do. They are doing just what God told them to do, I believe. That's theirs to do that. My ministry... I've been right in meetings where people'd be packed and jammed and standing on the streets, and in an hour's time, be on the road somewhere else, see. It's wherever He calls me, I have to go right then.
I had a group of ministers usually... Oh, they were about to tear me to pieces over here about it. Said, "Oh, Brother Branham, you can't leave."
I said, "Oh, yes. It's God's work, see. I must go."
And he said, "Well what about if God told us to set this meeting here?"
I said, "God had a meeting down one time, down in... Philip was there preaching, and the Samaritans were being saved, and great joy and power; and the Lord called him aside to talk to one man: a eunuch of Ethiopia. Is that right? He never did return to the city any more, see."
"Obedience is better than sacrifice, (Is that right?) to hearken than the fat of rams."

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 8:26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

Acts 8:27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

12 Now, shall we bow our heads just a moment while we talk to the Author of the Book.
Now, our most kind Heavenly Father, we address Thee today in Thy great Son's name, Jesus Christ the beloved One. And we ask You, kind Heavenly Father, that while we are gathered here in this few moments, now, for a little Jubilee time of speaking of the Word, may the Holy Spirit take the Word of God, and reveal it to each of us just as we have need of it. Grant it, Lord. You are the only one who can do this. We may open the book, but You're the only one who can interpret the book.
So, I pray Thee, Father, that You'll speak to every heart, and circumcise every ear to hear, and circumcise the lips to speak. And may the curtain (the cares of this world) be drawn down, now, that nothing will be in our minds but the Lord Jesus Christ and His coming, and His power, and His deity. May it just be so real to us this afternoon that the faint hearts will be rejoiced, that sinners will be condemned and go repent, and sick people may be healed. Grant it, Lord, that we might leave from here tonight with our hearts full of joy and power, rejoicing and thanking You for these blessings. For we ask them in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

13 Now, we'll just take a few moments of the time. We're just about a half-hour late for what I told Billy I'd go back to the hotel from now, but I'll hurry right quick now, and just speak to you a few moments as you pray.
Now, I want to read some Scripture found here, but I changed my mind after I heard sister sing. I want to read from Saint Matthew the 22nd chapter, and beginning with the 41st verse. A very familiar scripture to most all Bible readers. It's Jesus Christ speaking, and His Word is so real, and His Word is so eternal. Everything in the earth and heavens will vanish, but His Word will remain forever. When God has once said anything, it will remain forever: it cannot be altered.
A king's word is not altered, you know that. [Break in tape.] Like in the one... A nation that's controlled by a king, it's not politics to play there. The king has said so, and it must be carried out. That settles it. And when God speaks, it must be carried out. There's no altering, say, in politics. It's got to be taken out just exactly the way He said it. For once spoken, it's established forever in glory.
So, when we read His Word, it's eternal and will never cease to exist. I believe His Word with all my heart, all my soul, all my life, all I am. I just hang on to His Word. That's right. I believe it's forever the truth.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

14 Now, listen to our Lord Jesus here in the 41st verse of the 22nd chapter of the gospel according to Saint Matthew:
And while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They said unto him, The son of David.
And he saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies my footstool?
If David then called him Lord, how is he his son?
... no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

15 I want to take the subject, if it would be called a text, What Think Ye Of Christ?
Now, that's a very flat thing to give to a congregation of people, yet it must be so. God is going to judge you for your attitude towards Jesus Christ. No man... Hell wasn't made for Christians; hell was made for unbelievers. And God has did everything that He can to keep people ... to bypass hell so that you won't have to go there. He sent the law, He sent the prophets, He sent His Son, He sent the Holy Spirit, He sent the churches, the hymns, everything to try to keep you from going to hell.
Hell was not made for people. Hell was created for the devil and his angels, not for human beings. But if you go, it's because you willfully, and want to go. And you can't go easy; you have to fight your way into it. Did you know that? You can't go to hell easy; you have to fight your way to it.

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

16 I used to think, when I was a little boy, how the first little story you (and a little girl, either) would ever told your mother, there's a conscience there, said, "Don't do this, little boy. That's wrong. Don't do that." Remember when you smoked that little corn silk cigarette out behind the old fireplace, and ate some coffee to keep mother from smelling it on your breath.
"Have you been smoking?"
"No, mama."
And the conscience in there'd say, "Don't do this, that's wrong," see.
Then you lay there with that. And the next this you know you pass by the church, you hear the hymns, you hear the preaching. Every red light God flashes before you, you just break the barriers down and go right on. Don't pay attention to conscience, or nothing else. Then say, "God sent a person to hell." No, you sent yourself. That's right. You went on your own accord. God throwed every red light in front of you He could, and you just kept moving right on, head long. You was determined to do it.
Now, there's a red light hanging down here in the city. If you run through that red light, the city's not responsible for you. You did it on your own will. That's right.
So then God has done everything that He can to keep people, and to bring them to Him and love them.

17 Now, this old, old question of Christ: the virgin birth. How did it ever happen?
Sometime ago, I was up in the mountains. I'd just moved up there. I was going to go bear hunting. And I was going along the side of a cliff, and there was a cowboy come riding along. And I looked around, I heard a horse. And I was packing an elk. And he said, "Hello?"
And I said, "How do you do?"
He said, "What are you packing?"
I said, "I'm packing an elk."
He said, "I don't want to call you a liar, but you're packing a cow."
I said, "Well, I have sense enough to know that a cow doesn't have dewclaws. It drops that low and has a pointed hoof."
And so, he said, "Well," he said, "what are you?"
And I said, "Well, I'm going back there hunting." I said, "I'm looking for a fellow by the name of 'Jeffries.'"
He said, "I'm that fellow."

18 I said, "Yes, well, the ranger told me ... directed me to a cow camp." And I said, "From there, I'm to go to Corral Peak."
He said, "Well, can you ride?"
I said, "A little bit."
He said, "Well, crawl up back here." So I got on there. And he said ... went around. He said, "Well, where're you from?"
I said, "Indiana."
And he said, "What's your occupation?"
I said, "A preacher."
He said, "A what?"
And I said, "A preacher."
He said, "You look too intelligent for that."
I said, "Well..." I seen them westerners are a little rough-talking sort of people---flat, but lovely people. "Well," I said, "Sir, I think that's a mark of intelligence."
And he said, "Oh, I guess you believe that story about Jesus Christ, or ever what you call Him?"
I said, "Yes, sir."
Said, "You believe that virgin birth?"
I said, "Yes, sir."
He said, "If I prove that's a lie, will you believe it?"
I said, "You couldn't do it. There's no way at all for you to do it."
He said, "A person that's got real good, sound thinking mind will know that was an error."
Well, I said, "Then I guess you'd have to class me as not having a sound-thinking mind," I said, "because I believe it is the truth---just as true as it can be."
And he said, "Well now, I want to ask you something." He said, "To begin with, I want to state myself, that I'm an infidel." He said, "I don't believe in anything about God, or nothing else. I don't believe there is such a creature."
And I said, "Oh, you don't." I said, "Then you are really in a bad shape."

19 And he said, "Well," said, "I want to tell you something."
I said, "You mean a man can live out here in this beautiful place, and tell me you don't believe in God?"
He said, "No. I believe it's just a story like you tell the children at Christmastime: Santa Claus."
I said, "Oh, no. You sure got on the wrong foot, buddy." I said, "I hate to disagree with you, but" I said, "I'll do it because I know that you're wrong. And you're a human being and you got just as much right to heaven as anyone else, and you just simply got your mental thinking cap on backwards. That's all." I said, "You've just not got the thing fixed up right."
And he said, "Oh," said, "yes, I have, but it's you the one that's all mixed up."
I said, "Well, now's a good time. We're by ourselves and about twenty miles of riding today." I said, "Plenty of time to think it over."

20 He said, "Well, I want to tell you something." He said, "The first place, it absolutely could not be so."
And I said, "But, why couldn't it?"
And he said, "Well, we'll settle up the principle: the first is the virgin birth."
"That's just a good thing to talk about." I said, "If you ever get the virgin birth straightened out, you got [unclear words] straightened out."
He said, "Well, I want to tell you something." He said, "It's absolutely impossible for a female to bear without the contact of a male."
I said, "That's correct." I said, "I believe that."
Said, "Then how could this female, Mary, have a baby without being with a man?"
I said, "God was the father of this baby."
And he said, "Well how could it...? And you say God is a spirit."
I said, "That's what He is. And He was the one who created the blood cell in the womb of the woman that brought forth the Son, Christ Jesus."
He said, "Oh, impossible." Said, "It's impossible." Said, "The woman was just a little slip-up."
Like one of the fine... I got a book at home, talking of a fine Baptist seminary who teaches the same things of David ... Jesus Christ was German soldier's son. That Mary was absolutely... And that's in a seminary, now. Now you can see how far away from God they're getting. That's right.

21 And so, "It's all possible that that was true. And, being illegitimate, and given His whip, and so forth, like that. And a lot of the Irish think He had blond hair, and so forth like that, the censors, and so forth, but, it's every bit a lie."
So I said, "I want to ask you something." I said, "You mean that God couldn't create that blood cell?"
He said, "No. First place, there is no such a thing as God."
And he give me his theory of it, you know, about how the moon and stars come together, and the sun, and the ethics of Darwin, and how that the evolution started. And all these little pollywogs had begin to lose their tails, and got legs, and begin to walk.
I said, "Whatever happened if some of them become men, what happened to the pollywog then? We wouldn't need any more pollywogs.
So he said...
I said, "I want to ask you something. Will you believe...? Will you admit to me now that this baby Jesus had a mother? We know that, according to the writings ... we'll say, in according to the Bible. Now, He had a mother, but it's absolutely unscientific to say that He could be born without she had contact with an earthly man.
He said, "That's exactly right."
I said, "I want to ask you something, then. How did the first man get here without father or mother? Let it be tadpole, or monkey, or whatever you want it to be. According to your statement, he had to have a father and a mother."

22 Friends, I'm telling you, some people's so narrow-minded you could put a lead pencil between their eyes and blind them. That's right. They just don't look at both sides. They just get some little theory and run away with it. You have to stop and look the thing over. According to that...
Then how did the first man get here? According to science he had to have a father and a mother. And who was it? That's what I want to know. When they answer that... When he answers that, I'm ready for it.
He rode on a little bit farther, and never said a word. He just kept still, and rode on a little piece ahead of me; checked his horse and come back, and put his arm around me. Said, "I believe you believe that, preacher."
I said, "I sure do."
Said, "I lift up my head unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord." His father was a Baptist preacher. He's a Christian himself; he just wanted to see whether I believed it or not.
There you are. Oh, brother, I'm telling you, it pays to stand on what you know to be the truth. Yes, sir. The world's watching. You stand exactly on your convictions, and be ready to give a man an answer at any time.

Psalm 121:1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Psalm 121:2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

23 Like the old saying: Which was the first: the hen, or the egg? You've heard that now: The hen or the egg, which was the first? Said, the hen had to come from the egg. Was the egg here first? And the egg couldn't be here without the hen.
Well, that's easy. God created the hen, the hen laid the egg, and that's the way it started. That's just as easy as any way. That's got no question to that. People give those little theories and little things like that. There's really nothing to it.
But now, the main thing is: Who was this Son of God? Now, just like... It's coming springtime now. And, we knowing that the blood comes from the male. It won't be long now till the bird's are out here making their nests.
I was watching today, a little sparrow take weeds off the street, and take it up in the gutters and things at the hotel, making their nests. There'll be many a old mother bird that'll make a nest up there, and lay a nestful of eggs that'll never hatch, because she hasn't been with the male bird. She can lay the eggs: A hen can lay an egg, but if she hasn't been with the male bird, it will never hatch. It just lays right there, it rots right in the nest.

24 And the old mother bird can sit on that nest until she gets so sore, she can't get off the nest. Just so... Starve herself to death, babying those eggs and turning them over, and waiting for them to hatch, but they'll never hatch. There is nothing in them to hatch. There's no life in them.
It reminds me of how these old cold, formal churches... You take them in, make deacons out of them, DD's out of them, and everything else. But, if they haven't been with Christ Jesus, and born again by the baptism of the Holy Ghost, they'll never believe the supernatural of God. There's nothing in them to believe with. They're dead to start with. Just got a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. That's exactly right. The best thing to do is clean out the nest and start over again. That's right. Instead of taking them in by a letter, or membership; get them down at the altar and let them pray through till God puts their names on the Lamb's book of life. Then they'll stay there. Then they'll bring forth fruit when they've been born again of the Sprit of God.

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

25 Now, if I had to put Jesus to say on that, and on each individual here, you'd have to stand as what your opinion is about Jesus Christ. "What think ye of Christ? Who's Son is He?" Let's call a few characters here in a few moments, and just ask about who's Son He is.
What if I'd call up His arch enemy. Let's have His enemies testify of Him first. His arch enemy is Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Him, and done Him so ill, and sold Him for thirty pieces of silver. Let's take Him up there and ask Judas, "What you think about Him?"
Judas, when he seen Him standing there in Pilate's judgment hall, he taken the thirty pieces of silver and throwed them at the priest's feet and said, "I betrayed innocent blood." And was gentleman enough to take a rope and hang himself. It'd be a lot better if some of these guys that had enough gentleman about them as Judas had: go hang himself. And then... He hung himself on a sycamore tree.

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

26 Let's see Pilate, the man who washed his hands. He was standing there, and he was condemning Jesus. He was ready to pronounce judgment to find favor with some Roman emperor. And there he is standing there, ready to pass judgment, saying, "Perform a miracle. Let's see You do something. Who are You? Speak for Yourself?"
And the Lamb of God never even opened His mouth and said a word. He just stood there.
And the first thing you know, I hear a horse coming down the street with a gallop. First thing you know, a boy jumps off the horse and runs up, hands him a little piece of paper. Let's look over his shoulder and notice Pilate had turned white. He catches his breath, he loses his strength, he begins to ... knees knock together.
Let's look over his shoulder and see what's wrote on it: "Have nothing to do with this just man (a pagan wife) for I have suffered many things because of Him today in a dream."
There Pilate said, "Bring me some water. Let me wash my hands first. See to it. I have nothing to say in this matter."
Now, that's His enemies testifying of Him. That's right.
Look at the Roman soldier that stood there and pierced His heart with this sword ... or, this spear. When he looked up there and he saw the earth turning black, and the building was shaking, the temple rent the veils from top to bottom. He throwed his hand over his heart and said, "Truly that was the Son of God." Yes, sir. His arch enemies, there, testifying.

Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Matthew 27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Matthew 27:12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Mark 15:2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it.

Mark 15:3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

Mark 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

Luke 23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

27 Let's ask some of His friends. Let's call Adam back today from out of the land of the blessed where he is. "Adam, what do you think about this man? What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?"
Adam would say, "It's the seed of the woman that was to crush the serpent's head."---if Adam could testify.
Let's call another man by the name of Moses---a very outstanding character of the Bible. The greatest of all the prophets. He was a type of the Lord Jesus Christ: the priest, and the king, and the law-giver. A very perfect type. Never a man talked to God, outside of Christ Himself, like Moses---no prophet no time. Let's see what Moses would say if he could stand today. He'd say, "The Lord your God shall rise up a Prophet liken unto me. And it shall come to pass that any who will not hear Him, shall be cut off from among the people." That's who Moses thought he was.
Let's ask Ezekiel, that great prophet Ezekiel. "Come here, Ezekiel. Come down out of your glory a minute. What think ye of Christ, Ezekiel?"
Ezekiel said, "When I saw Him, He was a wheel in the middle of the wheel standing way in the middle of the air. (In other words, the whole creation was revolved around that hub in the wheel. Every spoke, every rim, everything else, depended on the hub in the wheel.) The wheel in the middle of the wheel, way in the middle of the air."

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Deuteronomy 18:16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

Deuteronomy 18:17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Deuteronomy 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Ezekiel 1:16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

28 I call Isaiah. He was one of the major prophets. Let's see what he'd say about Him. "Isaiah, what think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?" Isaiah was a major prophet. He wrote a Bible in itself. There's sixty-six books in Isaiah ... sixty-six chapters in Isaiah; sixty-six books in the Bible. He starts off with creation, like Genesis. Right in the middle of the book, where the New Testament came, John the Baptist comes up. And then, in the end, he ends in the Millennium---built houses, and they had to plant vineyards, and eat thereof.
He wrote a whole Bible. He was one of the prophets that God got by the crop of the neck and raised him up; let him see from the end to the beginning, and the beginning to the end, back and forth ---and Isaiah wrote it. "What think ye of Christ, Isaiah?"
He would say, "Why, unto us a Son is born. Unto us a Child is given. The government shall be upon His shoulders. His name shall be called Counsellor, Prince of Peace, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father; and of His kingdom there shall be no end." That's what he'd say. That's right. He wouldn't be like some of these theologians today who class Him down just as a mere man, or a teacher, or a philosopher.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isaiah 65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

29 I call Daniel: Daniel, that great prophet, who saw the beginning of the time, and he saw it down to the end through an image. Surely he saw Jesus in there somewhere. He saw the beginning with the head of gold: King Nebuchadnezzar and the Gentile kingdom. He saw the Medes and Persians, and the brass, and so forth, out into the Roman Empire, unto His coming. "What think ye of Christ, now, Daniel, you great prophet of God mighty in power? What think ye of Christ."
He'd say, "I seen all the world's image. I saw it standing there. And there I beheld a stone cut out of a mountain without hands. It rolled into Babylon and crushed it, and become like a threshing floor with the chaff on it. And the wind come and blowed it away and became unto a great mountain and covered all the earth, the sea and the sky." That's that he thought of Him: The stone that was hewed out of a mountain without hands---Daniel, the great prophet.

Daniel 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

30 Now, let's ask another one who ought to be really... Let's ask John the Baptist. "What do you think of Him, John the Baptist?"
If John could come down on the scene today and stand here on this platform and testify, John would say, "I knew Him not, but He that told me in the wilderness, go baptize with water, said, 'Upon whom thou shall see the Spirit descending and remaining on, He's the one that'll baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire.'" He would testify for Him, and give a witness of who He was.

31 I think the best authority that there is that we know of would be His mother. Don't you think so? If any woman out there who the baby belongs to the mother ought to. Is that right? "Mary, I call you down this afternoon and ask you: What do you think about Christ? Whose Son is He? You're the mother, you ought to know. You ought to know all about it."
I can hear the little virgin say, "I knew not a man. (Hallelujah!) But, one day when I was walking from the pump from the virgin well with a bucket of water on my shoulders, an angel appeared before me and said, 'Fear not, Mary. Hail! Blessed art thou among women.' Said, the Holy Ghost would overshadow me, and that holy thing that would be born in me would be called the Son of God. I have believed that's what He is: The Son of God, the virgin-born Son of the Living God."
I think that that ought to be an authority. Don't you think so? "What do you think, Mary? Whose Son is He?"
She said, "It's the Son of God."

32 I think the final authority ought to be... Let's ask Almighty God Himself. Let's hear from Him now, who He says. Out yonder on Mount Transfiguration one day, when Peter, James, and John, standing there while He was overshadowed with a cloud. And a voice spoke out of it, said, "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."
That sealed it once forever for me, as far as I'm concerned. That settles it! He was the Son of God and not the son of Joseph. That settled it forever. "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." Hallelujah! He is the Son of God! What think ye?
They said, "He's the Son of David." He was the Son of David by the flesh, but He was the Son of God by Spirit and by birth. He is the virgin-born Son of God."
My faith is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness.
When all around my soul gives way,
Then He's all my hope and stay.
For on Christ the solid rock I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Mark 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Luke 9:34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

33 If you'd ask me, "Preacher, what're you standing up there crowing about. Why don't you tell us what you think about Him?"
Oh, most happily will I do it. Yes, sir. Let me tell you what I think about Him. I think in His birth He was wonderful! Though He came through by way of a stable door, and went out through capital punishment, yet there's never been a birth through potentate, king, whatever it might be; there's never been a birth to compare with it, and never will be. He was the virgin-born Son of the Living God. When He was born, He ... when He was...
In His wisdom, He was matchless. There was no one could match His wisdom. And as a preacher, "Never a man spake like this," said the men who come to see Him. That's right.
As a healer, He was divine. Hallelujah. Yes, sir. In His death, He was my redeemer.
Living, He loved me; dying He saved me.
Buried He carried my sins far away.
(Hallelujah! Yes, sir.)
When He was here on earth, He looked like God, He acted like God. He said He was God. He lived like God, He preached like God, He died like God, He rose like God, He proved He was God. Hallelujah! That's who He was. That's what I think about Him.

John 7:46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.

34 Every man that's ever amounted to a hill of beans in this life has been a man who trusted Him and knowed He was the Son of the Living God---the incarnated Jehovah here on earth. Yes, sir. No wonder:
Down from His glory,
Ever-living story
My Lord and Saviour came,
And Jesus was His name
(Certainly He was.)
Born in a manger,
To His own, a stranger;
The God of sorrows, tears, and agony.
How God come, descending and brought Himself down into a form of flesh to redeem mankind. And to heal mankind, and to make the life pleasure while we were living here to take us into glory. Why, every man that's ever lived that amounted to anything, believed that with all their heart.

35 Let's call some of the great poets on the scene today, authors, and inspired men. Every man that ever had an ounce of inspiration had to be given to that man Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
Let's ask Eddie Newton, "What do you think about Him," when he was back there, and he was all down, had been a drunk, and a neurotic, and everything else; they'd throwed him into... One day inspiration struck him, he grabbed his pen. He wrote:
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found,
I was blind, but now I see.
It's grace that taught me to fear,
Grace my fears relieved.
How precious did the grace appear
The hour I first believed.

36 Let's ask George Moore, "What do you think about Him?" He was a restless man. He was all the way from England over here, and different places. "What do you think about Him?" One day when inspiration struck him, and Christ came to his heart, he said:
I've anchored my soul in a haven of rest.
I'll sail the wild seas no more.
The tempest may sweep
O'er the wild, stormy deep,
But in Jesus, I'm safe evermore.
(Hallelujah!)

37 Let's ask [unclear name], " What do you think about Him?" ... or, Charles Wesley, let's ask him what... One day, standing out on the ... a storm coming up, and he was out on the beach. The storm blowed a little sparrow went into his bosom. He tucked him on the inside, and he kept him in there. After the storm was over, he set him on his little finger, like that. The little sparrow flew his wings into the sky. In the sunlight, faith tucked down in his bosom till after the storm was over. He wrote:
Rock of Ages, cleft for me
Let me hide myself in Thee.
While the nearer waters roll,
While the tempest still is high.
That's what Wesley would say about Him. That's what John Wesley would say ... or, Charles Wesley, rather, the great poet, and song writer.

38 And now, let's ask [unclear name], " What would you think?" Or, ask Lowell Mason, "What would you think?" Look what he would say:
My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary;
Saviour divine.
Now, hear me while I pray;
Take all my guilt away,
And let me from this day
Be wholly Thine.

39 Well, what do you think of Christ tonight? What do you think of Him today, as a healer? What do you think of Him today, as a matchless one?
I believe He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. His power...
Eddie Perronet, let's ask him. He was a man who was considered... They told him he was crazy. And one day, while standing in his room, the inspiration struck him. He grabbed a pen, and God let him write the inauguration song of the coming of the Lord Jesus. He said:
All hail the power of Jesus' name;
Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

40 (Oh, my!)
"Old blind Fanny Crosby, what do you think of Christ? Whose Son is He? You was blind, you never saw daylight. You don't know daylight from dark. What do you know about Him?"
She said:
Pass me not O gentile Saviour;
Hear my humble cry.
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the stream of all my comfort
More than life to me.
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee?
Another wrote:
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified, freely, forever
Someday He's coming; O glorious day.

41 Chicago, I ask you this afternoon, "What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?"
In His resurrection power, when He walked here on earth, He saw visions, He done miracles, He performed things. And He said, "These things that I do shall you also." Nightly you see those things performed right here in this church.
What's your opinion of Jesus Christ? He's the Son of the Living God, isn't He? That's right.
I could ask today: "Dwight Moody, what do you think of Jesus Christ?"
When He was dying there, He was asked that question, I believe, when He was dying. And He said, "Is this death?" He said, "This is my coronation day." Hallelujah!
I said:
The lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime;
With partings, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints that perhaps another
Sailing over life's solemn main
For a forlorn, or shipwrecked brother
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

42 My brother, and my sister, "What think ye of Christ?" It's an individual question. It's a personal question to every one of you. Let's not reject Him in our generation. Let's accept Him as the virgin-born Son of God. Build our hopes on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. Let's stand there and give our testimony, tell the world what we think about Him: who He is, what He is, and what He is to us.

43 What would I do, when laying yonder in the hospital, at Mayo Brothers, they looked at me, said, "Well, you haven't got very much longer to stay here." What could I think of?
Christ, He who come to me that night in a vision, when they said, "It's impossible, Reverend Branham, for you to ever come out." But in His amazing grace, He came to me, said, "Don't fear. I'm with you. And you're going to preach the Gospel." Hallelujah!

44 If I could ask little Georgie Carter laying down there, "What think ye of Christ?" Laying there nine years and eight months, without even a speck of hope. Then Jesus came along and made her perfectly well.
What if I could call E. Howard Cadle from here at Indianapolis---a drunken sot laying out yonder, and the flyblows on him when he was laying in the bar room. When he walked down into the bottom of his church where the Democratic rally had throwed his old mother's picture on the scrap heap down there. Tears rolled down out of his eyes.
What think ye of Christ? Christ rose Him up, and he saved thousands of souls---that drunkard. What God did for him; it's amazing grace for what He did for Howard Cadle.
Not only that, but every man or woman in here, wretched, blind. You'd have been a prostitute on the street, woman, if it hadn't been for Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Men, I don't know what would become of you. I'd have been dead and in my grave long ago---and many here who would be the same---if it wasn't ... our faith was anchored in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God.
What think ye of Christ? He's the Son of the Living God.
Oh, how I love Him, how I adore Him. How matchless and how lovely He is. May His blessings ever stay upon you.

45 And I pray tonight that His Holy Spirit will be poured upon you people here, and that great signs and wonders will take place in this building tonight.
"What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?" How could He be a son of a man, and do such things? How...? Sure as the world, everything that has ever happened, every civilization come by Him. Every coin of money that's worth anything, nearly, has the name of God upon it. Every nation that recognizes God has become a civilized nation, and the others become heathens and pagans. Every place a woman's respected is where God as (using) Jesus Christ, believes He's the Son of God.
In every nation where God and Jesus is not recognized, women's morals are no more than a cow. They bring them down the street by the dozens, and swap them, and everything else, as women, wives, and things like that.
Only respect and decency, and everything else, come by people who recognize Him to be the Son of God. When He's vindicated His works in all the nations that has believed, where that remnant stands. Yes, sir. Civilization's come by...

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

46 Here not long ago, I climbed up to the Statue Of Liberty, up to where that big arm is that went out there. And there was a bunch little dead sparrows. He said, [unclear word] may rise and come; justice may rise.
I go down here to your museum. [They cleared me out here] the other day; I walked in there. Many of you has been down here. Went down there and had a hundred thousand years ago, what a man was, all the way down through ... come up out of a tree, or something like that. The tree ... family tree, and such tommyrot as that. [We permit] it to be taught in our schools. Why don't the people, in the name of high heaven, stand and reject that? Mercy! It's a disgrace.
No wonder we hatched out thirteen million infidels in the last two years, is because such stuff as that. Them poor little feeble minds. Then you come to a church where they're trying to preach the Gospel in the demonstration and power of the Holy Ghost, they call it "holy rollers," and "rat 'em up," and all kinds of things that they can say about them.
Shows it's the devil on the rampage, but God's church will never fail! She'll move from victory on to victory, until Jesus comes for His bride. Hallelujah! Storms may come, waves may come, but the church of God will remain forever if she's going into it. It's as certain as I'm standing here this afternoon. Amen.

47 Looking at those little sparrows laying there; I said to the guide that was with me, I said, "What's the matter with them little birds?"
He said, "They died last night." Said, "There was a storm come up. And they was flying right in the storm." And said, "They come into the light instead of using the light from the Statue Of Liberty." Said, "Those are [unclear word]. They come, tried to dock the light out, and they beat against it with their little heads, until they beat their brains out. And they're laying there dead, because they refused to follow the light. They tried to beat it out."
I said, "Oh, God. What an example it is. And men and women raising up today, and people who're trying to deny God's Bible, and Jesus to be the virgin-born Son of God. They're just beating their brains out, instead of taking the light---the baptism of the Holy Ghost---and dashing on to victory, and power, and overcoming [unclear words]. They're only beating their heads out. God's church will remain forever.
"Upon this rock I'll build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." When Peter made his great confession, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God," He said, "Blessed art thou, Peter, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you." He never learned it in a seminary. He never learned it from what somebody else said. But, "My Father which is in heaven has revealed it to you, and upon this rock I'll build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." It showed the gates of hell would be against it, but could not prevail, for the church of the Living God shall move on. Oh, great church of God, who stands sprinkled today with His blood.

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

48 How, in the Testament, the Old Testament, what a beautiful picture was given of His death, burial, and resurrection. When a man had leprosy---a type of sin---when he was healed by God, he offered two turtledoves. They brought the doves, or the pigeons, out. They pulled the head of one off, turned him over like this, and bled the blood all over the living mate. And then they took the living mate to the window, and turned him loose. And as the living mate went, flapping his little wings, he bathed the earth with the blood of the dead mate, crying, "Holy, holy, holy unto the Lord."
The living mate (the husband) of the church of God was Jesus Christ, who was killed on Calvary for a sacrifice for leprosy---cleansing of sin and sickness. And His life and the blood was poured out upon the church and she's crossing the world today, preaching old time Gospel holiness, and the power of the resurrection of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, "Crying, holy, holy, holy unto the Lord."
He is the virgin-born... No sex, or nothing with it at all. He is the Son of the Living God. There's my hope, there's my strength, there's my faith settled on that right there

Leviticus 14:6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:

Leviticus 14:7 And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.

49 . And at nighttime and different times, when I meet demons face to face, there's ... my faith is built there. Heavens and earth will pass, but that'll never. He is the virgin-born Son of the Living God.
If you don't know Him today, find Him quickly. Let Him come to you and rescue your soul. If there's a shadow of doubt in your mind, if there's only a hope there, take all of the hope and put faith there in its place. Look, "On this rock God'll build His church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
What think ye of Christ? What does every one of you think? What will you think after service is over tonight? What did you think when it was over last night? What do you think when the revival's over?
I believe God is going to send us here to Chicago. When I return back from overseas, I'd like to put up Jack Coe's big tent out here---seating about fifteen thousand---stay here about three, or four, or five months, till I see Chicago broke to pieces for the glory of God. Every person united together, and the power of God moving today, places Holy Ghost revival, preaching the same Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
May God grant it, is my prayer. May God bless you and pray to that end. And that's my hope, that's my faith, that's what I believe: that Jesus Christ is the virgin-born Son of the Living God. Shall we pray?

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

50 Our Heavenly Father, we thank Thee today for Jesus Thy Son, who has saved us from a life of sin, who has redeemed us by His blood, who has given us eternal life. And we pray that Your blessings will be made known to everyone in here.
O eternal One, spread forth Thy great wings over this building, and make these people know Thee, now, in the pardoning of sin. And may those here who has not got the baptism of the Holy Ghost, may they receive it right this afternoon.
Now, while you have your heads bowed in prayer, each one of you, I'm going to ask you a question: Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Have you actually felt the power of God has changed your life, and you've become a new creature? That's when the egg becomes fertile. That's when you accept Jesus Christ in that way, you become...
You say, "Well, I believe." So does the devil. You say, "I've confessed." So did the devil. So did Cain, so did his followers. So did the formal churches all along. But, my friends, you don't know what it is until Jesus Christ has been resurrected in your heart by the power and [unclear words] of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Do you have it? Is it in your heart?

51 While the organist comes to the organ just a moment, if you will, and the pianist to her place, I want you to be in prayer. And I want to ask you this solemn question: If you haven't got the baptism of the Holy Spirit, will you stand to your feet, say, "Brother Branham, right now, I believe that God's going to give me the Holy Spirit. I'll now accept Him." If you're a sinner, stand, say, "I want to accept Him as my personal Saviour." Or now, "I want to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost."
God bless you. They're standing everywhere, everywhere around the building. That's right. That's right. All... That's it.
Just say "He touched me."

52 While the pianist plays softly. Oh, that's right. That's right. Many are standing. God bless you. Some elderly people.
Oh, if you have judged me right to be God's servant, if the Holy Spirit has convinced you that I've told the truth in Christ Jesus, may He grant to you the baptism of the Holy Ghost this afternoon. May this be the coronation time of your experience. May God pack it this afternoon with the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Friends, we need power today. We need, not a revival, not to bring new members in. We don't need new membership, but we need a revival of divine power, and joy, in renewed hearts, that [unclear words] and away from the things of the world, and makes them new creatures.
Anyone else would stand before the closing prayer? If you will, stand to your feet. All right. God bless you. God bless you. All right. May the Lord Jesus Christ grant the blessings of God. Now, while you bow your heads, everywhere, if you will, just softly now in prayer. All right. Everyone bow your head now, and be in prayer, everyone.
Come, Brother Boze, and lead us will you, right now in prayer, if you will.

What think ye of Christ? (1957-03-03 Evening) (William M. Branham Sermons)

What think ye of Christ? (1957-03-03 Evening) (William M. Branham Sermons) somebody

What think ye of Christ?

1 In the presence of the Almighty God, we offer prayer. Our most beloved Heavenly Father, it is indeed a great privilege that we have to come to Thee in the way of prayer. And with the great promise behind it, that prayer changes things. And in this day that we are now living, there is so many changes needed, and we pray that you will change all the wrong to right. Change sorrow into joy, change sickness into health, change sin into righteousness, change gloom into glory. Grant it, Father. Hear the prayers of your people as we offer it to Thee in the name of the Lord Jesus, Thy lovely Son. Amen.
You may be seated.

2 Mr. Moore was just this afternoon met me and he said, "Brother Branham, last night you preached three sermons in one ... or, three different sermons." He said ... then, tonight he met me out there, and he said, "You never preached three different ones, but you tried to put three in one." And I was trying to get him to speak for me tonight, because of a tired throat. But it falls my lot to speak again, the Lord willing.
And just a short time to recuperate after getting out to the place I'm staying, the Lord seemed to lead me to this portion of His Scripture to read to you, His children, tonight. That's Saint Matthew the 22nd chapter and the 41st and portion of the 42nd verse.
And while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? And they said unto him, The son of David.
Now, I wish to take for a text, the five little words out of this reading: What Think Ye Of Christ?

Matthew 22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

3 Today I was trying to get to you, in the afternoon service, about the watch, the little mainspring in the watch, which makes all the watch what it is. I did not mean to be rude, but I only meant to show a picture of the condition of the church. We are trying to show the people what a fine case it's got on the watch---fourteen carat. Or, we might be able to show the people what a fine face it has on it, or what fine hands it has on it, or even to the little jewels on the inside. But with all this fine mechanism of the watch, it is of no value to you for time except it has the mainspring that makes all these things work together to keep time.

4 Today the church is trying to show their big fine buildings, their fourteen carat cases. Or, some of them, an unbreakable face. And many times we're trying to tell them of the rubies that we have, the gifts that are in the church. And they're all right. There's nothing wrong with them things. And when I try to explain or speak on the different gifts in the church, and how yet everybody seems ... not everybody (Pardon me.), but many seem to be defeated while they have these gifts. It isn't because the gift is no good. It's because the mainspring isn't moving it in the right way. You might shake it and make it tick a couple of times; but the mainspring keeps it ticking all the time, and makes it operate perfectly.

5 Now in this little portion of Scripture that I have here under consideration for a text, it is such a little, tiny thing: five little words. But what makes it what it is is because it is the Scripture. The valuation of the Word! The Word is so valuable! No matter if it's one little word, it's the value of the word. The Word was, in the beginning, a thought of God. And then it became, after a thought... A word is a thought expressed. And when God thinks of anything, then when He expresses His thought, it becomes a signed document. And everything that God is worth, and everything that God is, is behind that Word.
No man is any better than his word.
And all the Bible is, is prophets who has went up into the place where we spoke today, of the eagles. And God has let them foresee what God spoke in the beginning. For, in the beginning God knew everything that ever would be, from the very first beginning. So, you see the value on the Word.

6 Some time ago, I overheard, a few weeks ago, of a little boy who was up in an attic, fooling around, playing. And he run into a little postage stamp, no more than perhaps a half-inch square. And he took the postage stamp and he seen that it was an old one, so he slipped out to a stamp collector and got one dollar for the stamp. That stamp collector sold it for fifty dollars. And the last time I heard from that stamp, it's worth more than a quarter of a million dollars. Now it was not the little stamp ... the little piece of paper that's worth so much. It's what's stamped on the paper, gives it its value.
And our little text tonight isn't the paper that's so valuable, but it's what's on the paper, that's so valuable. It's the Word of the living God, that's stamped on the paper.

7 When it said by our Lord, "Heavens and earth will pass away, but my Word shall never pass away.", that's how infallible the Word of God is, no matter how small.
Many times, we think just because anything is small, that it's not noticeable. But Jesus said that even a sparrow who was ... two of them, sold for a fourth of a penny, and not one of those little birds could fall to the ground without God knowing it. God notices little things.
Now, many times you say, "I can't do very much about it---the conditions today." But just a little, kind word to someone, an invitation, a little testimony, little kind smile or a greeting to a passer-by, might mean more than you think it does. It's little.

Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

8 Sometime ago up in Canada, the late King George visited the provinces. And while he was in the province of British Columbia, all the teachers turned the children out from school, that they might go and see the king. And being that his highness, the king, was there, why, they all had flags to display their patriotic feeling towards him. And the little children was supposed to wave the flag as the king passed by. And after the king would pass by, the teacher came out and she found one little bitty girl standing over on the corner, with her little head against the telegraph pole, and weeping like her little childish heart would break. And the teacher went to her, to comfort her. And she said, "What's the matter, honey? Could you not wave your flag?"
She said, "Yes, teacher, I waved my flag."
Why, she said "Did you not see the king?"
She said, "Yes, teacher, I seen the king."
"Well," said, "Why are you weeping, honey?"
She said, "I did wave my flag, and I did see the king. But I was so little, that the king didn't see me."

9 But it's not that way with Christ. No matter how little you are, or how insignificant you might feel to be, He sees every move you make.
This little scripture tonight holds a decision for people. What think ye of Christ? Your decision on that (That scripture asked that question.) will seal your eternal destination. It might mean your healing tonight, physically. Your conception of what this question is may determine whether you walk out of that chair tonight, sir. It may mean whether you rise from the wheelchair. It might mean the difference between death and life, to many of you. And, sinner friend, it may mean your eternal destination, what you think of it.

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

10 Now no matter how much emphasis I would try to put on it, still, it is of none effect to you unless you receive it and accept it for yourself. Not applied to some organization, or some denomination, or to mama or papa, but it has to be applied as your own personal taste: what your thought is of Christ, what you think Him to be. Do you think Him to be a dead person that died nineteen hundred years ago? Do you think Him to be just another, like Mohammed, Buddha, some great philosopher or teacher, some prophet or poet? Or do you believe Him to be the infallible Son of the living God, who has raised from the dead and is here tonight present, to give to you the desire of your heart? That He said, "Wheresoever two or three are gathered in My name, I will be in their midst."

11 Now, if it is written on little paper, or whatever it is, doesn't means so much, but it's the message that it bears. And it's a pardon for sin. It's a healing for sickness. It's a remedy for worry. Oh, it holds in it everything you need in this journey, and everything that you will need in the great beyond, hereafter. All lays in what you think about Christ tonight.
Now, a pardon is not a pardon unless it is accepted as a pardon. I read an article sometime ago, where that there was a man in the eastern country. It's been many years ago since the incident happened, but the man was guilty and was sentenced to die under a firing squad. And some good person went to work, and worked around the governor of the state until finally they persuaded the governor to spare the life of the person. And when the guilty person, who was really guilty, was set free, to get another chance to bring himself up and to make a citizen. When the man come with the pardon, the man who was to die refused to receive it. He did not want it, yet the governor had his name signed, "pardoned."

12 What made the difference was the governor's name, and "pardoned." It spelt pardon to the man if he wanted to receive it. But if he did not want to receive it, he had to pay the penalty. And the man refused it and said, "I do not believe it. I will not accept it." And the man was shot the following day.
Then, this pardon goes back to the governor. And he had pardoned the man, yet he was a corpse. Then, it was tried in the supreme court of the land, and it was declared that a pardon is not a pardon unless it is accepted.
And salvation through Jesus Christ is not salvation unless it is accepted as salvation. Oh, if the world could only look on God's great promises and believe them, that they are God's pardon to the human race!

13 This little, age-old question has been rising in the minds of people through the centuries, about who Jesus was. Even to this day, among many of the Protestant ranks, it is believed and taught that He was not the virgin-born Son of God, but He was only a prophet.
Sometime ago when our most beloved Brother Arganbright (on the platform with me tonight) and I were in Zurich, Switzerland, the famous revivalist Billy Graham was ending up his service that Saturday afternoon. I was beginning the next day. And down in Switzerland, the state church doctrine is, under the old Zwingli translation, that Jesus was the Son of God ... called the Son of God; really was the son of Joseph, called the Son of God, but not virgin born.

14 Now, that knocks every foundation out from under Christianity. He was either the Son of God, virgin born, or His blood was no more than my blood or your blood. Sex had nothing to do with it. Almighty God overshadowed the virgin Mary, and she brought forth the Son, Christ Jesus, by the great immaculate conception, by the power of the Holy Spirit to form a blood cell in the womb of a girl who knew no man. And through that holy unadulterated blood, my faith rests solemnly upon that tonight, and nothing else, for my forgiveness of sin. And the reason my faith has stayed there, is because I truly believe it was the blood of God. That's why it has a resting place.
But it's so scattered today. What about it? Let's just call a few witnesses for a few minutes and find out what would be said of someone who has passed on.

15 What if we tonight could call his arch enemy, Judas Iscariot? The very name "Judas" just makes us shiver. Now, the word "Judas" is not such a bad name, not up till that time. Perhaps many little Jewish boys was named Judas. I don't know, but perhaps come from the name of Judah, the tribe. But it was what Judas did that makes people fear and shake at the name of Judas.
What makes the name of Jesus so sacred? There was many little boys named Jesus. But it was what Jesus did and what He was, what makes His name so reverent tonight, that all the family in heaven is named after Him. Not so much of what your name is, but what you are with your name.

Ephesians 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 Judas. If we could go down to the regions of the lost and the damned, if we could go to that wearisome place called hell, and could call that deceiving spirit of Judas Iscariot to this platform tonight, and would say, "Judas, what think ye of Christ? Whose son is He?" I could imagine you could hear thirty pieces of silver rattle across the platform, and he'd say, "I have betrayed innocent blood."
What if I could go to the smoldering regions of the lost, and call the Roman soldier who took the spear and pushed it into His heart. I would say, "What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He?" He'd say, "Truly that is the Son of God."

17 What if I could go to Pilate, that great emperor of Rome, go down to the regions of the lost---I'm a fragile man---and call him here tonight before this audience. Remember, I'm calling His enemies. If I could call Pontius Pilate tonight and say, "Pilate, you've been gone for two thousand years, wherever you have been. I want to ask you a question that you might answer this audience tonight. What's your opinion of Christ?" What kind of an answer do you think he would give?
When Christ was placed before Pontius Pilate to make his decision of what he thought of Him... And my brother, sister, Christ is placed before you tonight to give your opinion and to make your decision. What do you think of Him? And your action will speak much louder than your words.

18 Let's look at Pontius Pilate, as they drug him out one morning to sit on the judgment seat. And, to be favorable to the Jews and to the Romans, when they drug Jesus up before him, with the thorns on His head, as a crown, and His hands tied behind Him. I can imagine that great emperor, as he sat on his throne, all discouraged because he had been gotten up a little early. And with his temper all up, as he'd fling his hair back, and look into the face, and say, "There can't be much to that guy."
You say, "What a horrible person!" But oh, my decrepit sinner friend, you do worse than that, by rejecting Him.
And so, with His hands tied behind Him... How could a King with His hands bound... That's the King of heaven. As Pilate was judging Him, looking Him up and down. Said, "If You are the Christ, why don't You say something about it?" And Jesus never opened His mouth.

Acts 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

19 I can imagine Pilate saying, "Well He's scared, because He's standing before me, the emperor of Rome." Then all of a sudden, I can hear a horse come galloping at full speed, coming from the palace, and a young handsome soldier jumps from the saddle, into the street, up through by the guard. And they seen he was a palace guard, so they let him in. He was carrying a piece of paper in his hand, and I can see him as he walks up before Pilate, bows his head to the floor and say, "Your majesty, sir. I have a letter from your wife. She said it was urgent for you to receive this at once. That's why I broke in like the way I did."

20 I see Pilate open up the letter with his head back. And as I begin to watch his eyes under his great brow, the furrows and the long eye lashes and eye brows, his eyes goes to a cold stare. As he reads this letter, he looks around to Jesus, and he looks back. His face becomes white, his lips doesn't seem to have any blood, his knees begin to knock together. What's so important about that letter from his pagan wife? Let's look over his shoulder, and read and see what it says: "My dear husband, don't you have anything to do with that just man, for this day I've suffered many things in a dream because of Him." That's what he would say happened.

Matthew 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

21 What did he do? Instead of releasing Him as he had power, instead of embracing him and saying, "Yes, Jesus, I've been wrong; I've misjudged You. But this morning I receive You as my Saviour, as the Son of the living God; I bow before You."
But instead of that, he tried to justify himself, like many sinners of this world today. "I just won't go to the meeting."
Said, "Bring me a pan of clean water." And he washed his hands of Him. Said, "I just won't accept Him, but I just won't have anything else to do with it."
Did that clean his hands? No. And neither will it clean your hands. It's before you. You've got to make a choice. God compels you to make a choice. You can't leave that door tonight without some sort of a choice. It's impossible.

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

22 As the old legend says, Pilate many years later went up in the northern countries, in the mountains. He was finally dethroned, and he worried, and he walked. And finally committed suicide by plunging himself into a great hole of water and drowning. And it is said, as a legend, that every year, just about the time that he washed his hands of the Lord Jesus, and accepted his great dignity, instead of humbling himself to the Lord, the legend says that that blue water bubbles up for hours to show that blue clean water won't wash the blood of Jesus Christ off of the hands of any person.

23 Neither will the name on a church book, neither will anything else ever wash the blood of Jesus Christ off of a man or woman's hands who has heard the Gospel. You've got to make your decision. There's no other way for you to do. You either accept Him or you deny Him. He is on your hands, and there's nothing you can do---only make your decision.
You say, "Brother Branham, you've been talking to His enemy. Now, what about some of His friends?" That's what His enemies had to say. Let's see some of His friends. Let's call the Hebrew children to the platform tonight.
Oh, you beloved friends of God, what think ye of Christ? You lived many hundreds years before He ever was manifested in the flesh. I can hear Shadrach say, "I will speak for the three of us." Amen.
We are not divided. All one doctrine we, one in hope and charity. "I will speak for the rest."

24 "It was on a gloomy morning when we were cast into a big pit of fire of a furnace het seven times hotter than it ever was het. And we wondered what was taking place. We never felt any fire on us, neither did we feel or hear any hair singeing, but it seemed to be very comfortable down there. And when we turned to look, there stood One that looked like to me the Son of God. That's what we think of Him."
Ezekiel, the prophet that we spoke of today, "What think ye of Christ, Ezekiel? Whose son is He?"
"One day," said Ezekiel, "while the Spirit of God was upon me, I looked up into the heavens. I saw Him coming, and the clouds was like dust under His feet. I saw a wheel in the middle of the wheel, turning way up in the middle of the air."

Ezekiel 1:16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

Daniel 3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Daniel 3:27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

25 "Daniel, will you testify tonight?"
"Most surely will I testify," he said. "I stood one day while the Spirit was upon me, and I saw the Gentile world all formed together. And I beheld until there was a stone cut out of the mountain without hands, who rolled into the image and smashed it. I saw all nations come to the Ancient of days, whose hair was as white as the snow. That's what I think of Him."
What a marvel!
Let's ask his mama. If anybody ought to know whose Son it was, his mama ought to know.
"Mary, will you testify?"
"Most surely will I testify."
"Mary, you are His mother. He laid the first nine months under your heart. What think ye of Christ, Mary? Whose son is He?"

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

26 She said, "I knew not a man. But one day, on the road down, the great Angel Gabriel stood before me, and said, "You're going to bear a Child, and that holy thing will be called the Son of the living God." I believe her.
I think the final notice ... the final word that ought to settle it before all nations, both heaven and earth, let's ask God about it, see what He says about it.
One day upon the Mount Transfiguration, there come a great cloud from heaven and overshadowed them. And Jesus was set out to one side, and His raiment did shine as the sun. God, what about this man that the Jews turned down? What about this that the Gentiles love pleasure more than they love... Who is this? Listen to God's own Word. "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him." That should settle it once forever. Every man or woman that's ever amounted to anything has believed that.

Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Mark 9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

Mark 9:3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Luke 9:29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

27 Let's call a poet on the scene. Eddie Perronet: he and his writings was rejected, and he was a man cast out, but he loved the Lord. And he did not go to the arm of flesh, but he went to the God who answers prayer.
And sitting in his office one day, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, Eddie Perronet picked up the pen, and wrote the inauguration song:
All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Blind Fanny Crosby who was tortured through her life by scornful hands, and making fun of her because she wouldn't write worldly songs. "What think ye, Fanny Crosby? Let's call you here. And what do you think of Him? Whose son is He? What does He mean to you, Fanny Crosby?"
And when she picked up the pen, she wrote:
Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the stream of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Or whom in heaven but Thee?
Another one wrote:
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified, freely forever:
Some day He's coming---oh, glorious day!
What think ye of Christ and whose son is He? What's your opinion of Him? What do you think about Him?

28 William Branham, what's your opinion? Oh, my! If I had ten million tongues to speak with, I could never express my thoughts to Him. Laying yonder on the bed, come up out of a sinful family, and the doctors looked at me and said, "You got three minutes to live." And all of a sudden Something passed my way. It was the blessed Son of God, whose saved me from sin, and healed my blinded eyes, and put me out to preach the Gospel.
Oh, how I love Him! How I adore Him! I couldn't express what I think of Him. What kind of people ought we to be?
Sometime ago down in the south, they used to buy slaves, and they would sell them just like you do on the market of cars. And a buyer would come by and buy those people, and sell them from one place to another. And one day a slave buyer came by, and those slaves were very disheartened because they were away from their home. They would have to whip them with whips to make them work. They'd never go back to see their loved ones no more; they were slaves. And they were so discouraged.

29 But one day when a certain buyer came by a great plantation, he noticed one young man. Oh, you didn't have to whip him. His chest was out, his chin was out. He walked right along with a smile on his face. He'd done every bit of work that he'd seen to be done. The buyer said to the slave owner, "I want to buy that slave."
But the buyer said, "He's not for sale."
"Well, what makes him so much different from the others? Perhaps he's the boss of the others."

30 The slave owner said, "No, he's just a slave."
Said, "Maybe you feed him better than you do the others is what makes him act like that."
Said, "No, he eats out in the galley with the rest of them."
Said, "Well, what makes him so much different from the rest of them?"
And the owner said, "I wondered that myself for a long time, but I found out. I found out that over in the homeland, his father is the king of the tribe. And though he's an alien, and he's away from his father, and he's away from his tribe and loved ones, he conducts himself as a king's son. He knows that he's an alien, but he's the son of a king. Hallelujah!

31 What kind of people ought we to be? How should we conduct ourselves? We are sons and daughters of the King not a king, but the King; Jesus Christ the Son of the living God who is the King of kings.
Let us pray.
Our Heavenly Father, it is with humble hearts that we embrace Thy Word. And we give to Thee the very adoration of our innermost being, because Thou has redeemed us; and we are not redeemed by corruptible things as money. We are redeemed by the precious blood of God, who has purchased us through His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus.
And I believe tonight that He is God's only begotten Son, that He died for the propitiation of our sins. "And He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquity, and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed." I embrace that tonight and say, "He is the virgin-born Son of God."

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

32 Father dear, if there is people here who has been deceived by just thinking they could join church, or could hide around some little doctrine and be saved, oh, may they hear the poet say:
Oh, precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Grant tonight that sinners may come and be saved through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God's only virgin-born Son. We pray in His name.

33 And while we have our heads bowed. I wonder tonight: no one here would surely have the audacity to be as Pilate, would try to push back the message. "Oh, say it another time." I believe you're better mental balanced than that. Would you have the courage, not to me (I'm just a man.), but to God would you raise your hand up, while everyone in prayer. If you would raise your hand and say, "God, this is my witness to You, not to Brother Branham or no one else. But this is my witness to You, that I believe that Jesus is Your Son. He died for my sins, and I now confess all of my iniquity and sin. And by raising my hand, I'm saying this: 'I believe on Him for the remission of my sin.'"

34 Put up your hand. Will you do it, before God? We're going to have just a short prayer. God bless you, son. God bless you, sir. All right, on the bottom floor, put your... God bless you, sir. God bless you, lady. God bless you, mister. God bless you. God bless you, little girl. Someone else raise your hand on the bottom floor and say, "By this, God, I mean, I surrender everything."
Remember friend, in ten million years from tonight, you'll be somewhere. God bless you, little boy. Up in the balcony to my left. Someone say, "By this I put up my hand." God bless you, little boy. God bless you, lady. "I put up my hand and say, 'God, receive me as a penitent sinner.' I now raise my hand and say, 'I haven't lived right or true to You, and from this night on, by Your help, I will do it.'"

35 The balconies to the rear, would you raise your hand and say, "I now will put my hand to God." God bless you, lady. The balcony to the right, would say, "I put up my hand. God be merciful to me."
"I belong to church, that's true," you say, "but as far as really knowing what it means to accept Christ as Saviour, I have never done it. I still live the life out there---the ups-and-downs---and I'm just ... the only thing that makes me. I try to hide around the corner. Don't do this, but down in my heart I want to do it anyhow." Brother, that ain't right. You know that's not right.
For, the Bible said, "If you love the world, or even the things of the world, the love of God's not even in you."

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

36 Will you put your hands up to God, just as I ask God to bless you? God bless you. God bless you, here lady, on the bottom floor; I see your hand. God bless you, back there, young man; I see your hand. All right. One more before we close the altar call and pray for you. Is there another some... God bless you, young lady.
It may seem like... Oh, is that a hard thing? Just think how simple it is, just like this little word. Just three or four little words, but it spells your eternal destination. Your choice; you can raise your hand and receive it, you can keep your hand down and miss it. It may be your last call God gives you. Let me persuade you if you feel led to put up your hand. No matter how long you've been in church, put your hand up. God bless you, little one; I see your hand. God bless you, sir. God sees you, of course He does. All right, once more look over the audience to see if I can just ask God to bless another one that's decided for Him.

37 All right. With your heads bowed. Our most kind Father, these people who raised their hands, I believe with them as an intercessor, an earthly priest, to make intercessions to Jesus Christ who stands in the presence of Almighty God, sitting on the throne of God, making intercessions; I bring these by my message tonight of the Gospel, who has felt in their heart that they must raise their hands to accept You. Now we realize, Lord, them raising their hands, they break every scientific rule. They overstep gravitation and raise a hand that was made to hang down, and bring it up. Shows that there is a supernatural spirit in there. And that spirit has made a choice for eternal life, and has raised their hands towards the Creator of heaven and earth, to ask pardoning for their sins.
Thou has said in Thy most holy Word, "He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me has everlasting life and shall not come into the judgment, but has passed from death unto life."

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

38 And it is also written from the lips of our Saviour, "No man can come to Me except my Father draws him first. And all that comes to Me I will give them everlasting life. No man can pluck them from My hand, for they're God's love gift to His Son."
Now, Father receive them into Thy kingdom, believing that each one raised their hand is now born-again. And I pray God for them that you will give them the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and on this new heart and new spirit that they have just received, place that teeny little Holy Spirit in there, to setting that body in order. Give to them the great gifts and let them see the signs of the time. Grant it, Lord. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

39 God bless you, my brother and my sister. Some fifteen twenty hands went up. You have received now Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. You did not try to wash it from your hands. You took that same guilty hand, and raised it up, and said, "God cleanse it." "He that comes to me I will in nowise cast out. Though your sins be like scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Red like crimson, they shall be white like wool." God promised it; God keeps His promise.
Now, I'm trusting upon the merits of our blessed Saviour, that He will come here tonight and confirm His Word, right publicly before you all, that you might see that what you have done is not just merely a guess-so or a maybe-so. You confessed your faith in a living God who's right here now, who put your name on the Lamb's book of life.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

40 Now, when He was here on earth, He said this: "A little while and the world won't see Me no more. Yet ye shall see Me." That's the world, the church order, and the world order. "They won't see Me no more. Yet ye shall see Me, for I" (I is a personal pronoun.) " I will be with you to the end of the world. I'll not only be with you, but I'll be in you to the end of the world." I, Jesus, will be in you unto the end of the world.
Now, friends, we've got a world tonight. "A little while and the world won't see Me no more." No matter whatever takes place, they'd never believe it. That's the ones that Jesus spoke of. Then He also said there would be some "ye's" to the end of the world. "Yet ye shall see Me." Now He wasn't just talking to that nation there ... or, that generation. "You shall see Me, for I will be with you to the end of the world." That's the "ye's" to the end of the world. I trust tonight...

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

41 Is any here that never was in my service before? Let's see your hands. Just a few. I don't claim to be a healer. I can't heal people; no one can. God does that alone, but I do confess that Jesus did die, but, oh, more than that: He raised again. And He come to us to comfort us in the form of the Holy Ghost, and is right with us doing the same things that He promised to do. And it's in the evening time and the evening lights are shining. I trust that you will receive Him.
And if He will come to this platform tonight, in a vindication of the truth of His Word... Now when Jesus was here on earth, He healed and done these signs that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet. Now He comes tonight and continues His work that it might be fulfilled that "Ye shall see me."
The crowds go down the street drunk and everything else, laughing, making fun, that it might be fulfilled. The Word has to be fulfilled. It must be on both sides. I am so happy tonight that I accepted Him as my Saviour, the Son of God.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

42 Now, let us call the prayer line. And if the Lord Jesus should come and do just the things that He did when He was here on earth... He said, "I can do nothing in myself; just what I see the Father doing, that I do." Looked over the audience perceived their thoughts, the woman touched His garment, many things as we're acquainted with from the previous part of the revival. May He grant it.
Father God, now I have delivered to this people the message that Thou has put on my heart. And many souls has raised their hands and accepted You as personal Saviour. Oh, will You, tonight, kind Heavenly Father, make Yourself known here? And will move into the body---the body of Christ---and will show forth Your resurrection until You come. And as we as believers yield our members to You, may you work through the gifts of faith and prophesy, and so forth, to show forth that our religion, our holy religion, is not in vain though it be looked upon, and scoffed at, and seemingly to the world just a bunch of idiotic people. But You did that so that You could hide it from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and reveal it to babes such as would learn. And I thank thee, Heavenly Father, that Thou has considered us, and let us believe on Thee. And make these young, new born babes tonight very happy. For I ask it in Jesus' name, as You heal the sick. Amen.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

43 Now... A, prayer card A. Okay, pardon me. All right, prayer card K was what was give out today. Let's start... Where did we have last night? We've been all over... Lets start back from 1 tonight. Who has K number 1? Would you raise your hand? Prayer card K number 1. I can't get them all, but...
All right, come right over here, ever who it is. Come here. K-2, would you raise your hand quickly now? Two, would you raise up your hand? All right, a lady over here. All right, lady, you come over here. K-3; all right, 4, that's good; raise your hand quickly. Watch... Look at your neighbor, now; he may not be able to raise up, or he may be deaf and dumb and can't hear his number called. Let's see number 1, 2, 3, 4. Who has prayer card 4? Would you raise your hand? Prayer card 4. Five, would you raise your hand? Prayer card K-5. The gentleman here? Would you come, sir? Number 6, prayer card number 6, would you... The lady? All right, lady. Seven, all right, lady over here. 8, prayer card 8, would you raise your hand quickly? Quickly now. [Gap in the audio.] Do you have prayer card 8, sir? All right. 9, 10. That's good, quickly. 10, 11, 12, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15. Prayer card 15
.
Now look, while they're coming: If the Holy Spirit should move beyond this line, then let the next start: 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, on; just keep on coming. Sometimes it sets in where real good faith is moving, and they just swarm through maybe fifty or hundred at a time. But it depends now how faith is moving, see.
Now how many does not have prayer cards? Or at least your not going to be called in the prayer line, and you'd raise your hand and saying, "God, I want you to heal me." God bless you. That's very fine: your faith. I do so appreciate you. And I pray now that God will bless you. Okay.
Now, real reverent. I am going to ask mothers to keep their babies just as close as they can. And if you folks will just be just as reverent, sit still just about fifteen minutes. See, I go from one meeting to another... See, you just see me here, then I go from here to another, then from there to another, then from there to another, from there to another, then over seas. Oh, my!

44 You know what? One of these signs can be done in Africa, India, some of those countries and... Brother Arganbright, here, knows it is true. But every night in Zurich, Switzerland, around ten thousand at a time would come to the altar to accept Christ. I was there five nights, and fifty thousand people made a decision, and registered for Christ. They believe. What's the matter with us? We are so dense with all kinds of doctrines and everything; just can't get to us. We've just been churched, and churched, and de-churched, and churched, and de-churched, and this, and that, and all this, and that, and you don't know what to believe.

45 In Africa where one sign of a little cross-eyed boy first, and the next was a native boy walking on his feet and hands. And a few little things like that was done at the platform---not over three or four---and twenty-five thousand people got healed at one prayer. And thirty thousand come to Christ at one time---thirty thousand. Over as much as ten thousand of those were Mohammedans. Think of it: Mohammedans. When I met a missionary, he said, "That precious jewel." Been there thirty years and won one single Mohammedan to Christ.
Why? We've done everything but what Christ told us to do. You can't teach him theology. He's got just as good as you can teach him. That's right. He's got to see that God is God, and living. As one said, "What can your living Christ do for me any more than my dead prophet? If your living Christ is alive, then let you teachers do what He said He would do through you and we will believe it." That makes the Christian keep still if he isn't a believer.
"Oh," the Christian says, "we're happy. We have joy and we have all these great fine attributes of joy and peace."

46 The Mohammedan said, "Now, just a moment. We can produce just as much psychology in Mohammedanism as you can Christianity." (It's this little gadget here, Brother Brown, that holds it on here.) Said, "We can produce just as much psychology. We're just as happy looking for Mohammed as you are for Jesus." Said, "We can shout just as loud as you all can. But what we want to see you do... "Jesus said that if He raised from the dead and come back again in the Spirit of the Holy Ghost, as you say He has... He said you would do the same things He did. Now we're waiting for you to do that." There you are.

47 But when it's really produced, they say, "There goes the Koran. Jesus lives." They believe it. That's what He told us to do: representing. "I will be with you." God asked you to do the impossibles. That's right. God asked you to do the impossible, and you've got to have the miracle-working Holy Ghost to do the impossible---not just a little psychic emotion, but the impossible. May the Lord grant His blessing.

48 Be real reverent, look this way, believe God, pray with all your heart that Almighty God will give to you the deep and blessed desire of your heart. That's my sincere prayer. All right. Thank you, sister.
Now will you please, just for a few moments, if you will just sit quiet. Now what did the Angel of the Lord... How many ever read my story? He said if you'll get the people to believe you. Then when I ask you to do anything, and you don't do it, to God, that is you don't believe it. No matter what I tell you to do... Elijah told Naaman, "Go dip in the Jordan seven times." Well, he had his leprosy till he obeyed, see. It's not us; it's God.

2 Kings 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.

2 Kings 5:14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

49 Now, may the Lord add His blessings. Now what do you say takes place? Here stands a man; I guess we're strangers to one another. I've never seen him. You've just been to church and seen me sit up here. Well, I mean I don't know you. Don't know a thing about you. Now, here's a man standing here, his... Here's another Bible picture.
In the book of Saint John the 1st chapter, when Jesus ministry first started, Philip got converted, and went and found Nathanael. And he said, "Could any..." He come... When he found Nathanael, he was doing something. He was under a tree, perhaps, praying. And Philip being all enthused about Jesus and believing on Him himself, he said, "Oh, come see who we found, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
He said, "Could there be any good thing come out of Nazareth?"

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

50 I think he gave him a word that all of Phoenix ought to know, and the rest of the world. Said, "Come, see." That's the best thing to do. Come, find out for yourself.
Now, this man was a very staunch Hebrew. He said, "Could any good thing come from Nazareth?"
Said, "Come, see."
I think that is the most logical answer. And when he come... Now I can imagine Philip saying, "Now when you go, don't be critical. Don't look for some great big something; just look for a humble man, just like a fisherman or something. Not dressed any different from any other man, not a great high priest robe on, big turban sitting on top his head to make him look like something. Men are not something the way they dress; they're what they are in their heart.

John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

51 And then when he come, he found an ordinary man, just a clean dressed man like any other man. And He looked at him, and Jesus turned and looked at him, the first time he ever saw him. He said, "Behold an Israelite in whom there's no guile." Now, he could not have been an Israelite; he could have been something else. He could not have been an honest man; if he had not have been, Jesus would have knowed it. How did He know he was a honest man?
And that man had kind of startled him. He thought, "That's just a man."
But that wasn't a man speaking; it was God in the man, speaking. And he looked at him and he said, "Rabbi," (or "preacher, Reverend," as we'd say today), " Rabbi, when did You ever know me?"

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

52 Why, Jesus looked at him; He said, "Before Philip called you when you were under the tree, I saw you."
Do you know what that Jew said? He was a real Jew. He said, "Rabbi, thou art the Son of God. You're the king of Israel."
Now if He's raised from the dead, He's got to be the same in principle, the same in power, and all, because He said, "The same things I do you will also". Now, may He grant it.
Here's a man total stranger. I've never seen him in my life. He's standing here for some cause I don't know. But what do I do? Just yield myself to the Holy Spirit. And then whatever He... If this man I don't know him, and the Holy Spirit, which is Christ in Spirit form, it's just the Lord Jesus come back in Spirit form. "I go to the Father; in a little while the world won't see Me, yet you'll see Me, for I will be with you, all the way to the end of the world." The Holy Spirit is nothing in the world but the Spirit of Christ back working in the church. If the Spirit of Christ worked in Jesus---the Logos worked in Jesus---and He gave His blood that He might cleanse us. And God by foreknowledge set orders in the church, of different things. That same Logos working in us, will do the same thing. Got to.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

53 But now, if God will come and manifest Himself through the Logos, through the Holy Spirit, and will do the same thing in the same manner to this man that He did to Philip ... or, Nathanael, will everyone in here believe on Him then? Will it confirm everything that I've said in the Word? Now see, this is God's part of the service. My part's to preach, your part is to believe. God's part is to confirm. May He grant it.
And the Lord bless now as we yield ourselves soul, body, and Spirit. Be real reverent, sit still. If you want to praise the Lord after something is done, that's up to you. I like to, too.

54 So, I want to talk to the man like our Lord did ... or, looked at him a moment. Now, sir, I don't know you and never seen you. But Christ does know you. And if He will reveal to me... I don't know what you're here for. It may be finances, it may be domestic trouble, it may be sickness, it may be for somebody else, it may be for salvation. I could not tell you; I don't know. But if He will reveal to me what you are coming to ask Him, you're coming to me to ask Him, Him to speak back. And then if He can speak through me, and tell me what you're wanting, and I tell you that everything that you have need of was furnished at Calvary' then it would be up to you to believe it. Is that right?

55 Now, if the audience can still hear me. Around the man seems to be coming a real amberish greenish-looking light, as he's very well aware that something is taking place. And the man is suffering. He has got something wrong in his chest, and in his back, and in his stomach, and in his legs. And he's a very nervous wreck. That's "Thus saith the Spirit." That, sir, is right. [The man says, "Yes, it's right."] If that's right, raise your hand. ["That's right. Sure, it's right."] And you received this by an accident. You got hurt in a ditch and done this. [Yes.] Now you know something has happened to you. You're healed. Just ... I've never touched you or nothing, but you can go on your road now, rejoicing and be happy.

56 How do you do, lady. Do you believe on the Lord Jesus with all your heart? Do you believe that God could reveal to me what you are here for? I see you coming down off of a mountain. You don't live here. Oh, I believe I know you. You're from Globe. You're a woman preacher, and your church is in Miami. You've got bad breathing. And your name is Edna Marshall. That's exactly right. Do you believe with all your heart?
O Lord Jesus, I now condemn this spirit that's cutting the breath from our sister, and ask it to leave in Jesus' name. Amen. God bless you, sister. Go, happy, rejoicing, and be glad.

57 Sir, do you believe with all your heart?
Praying for your husband's diabetes, aren't you? That's right. Up in the recording pit. Oh, Satan thought he'd get by with that, but he couldn't. Oh, if I could only have words to explain what that was. See that man, a different looking man, standing here [unclear words] look around and that little lady sitting there praying. See that streak moving back and forth through there. Oh, isn't He wonderful? She touched Something, she never touched me. But she touched the High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. Have faith in God.
Now, sir, I suppose we're strangers to each other? I don't know you, and maybe you don't know me, but there's Someone here who knows us both. You're a man, I'm a man, and here we stand. You're a Christian believer, and here I am a Christian. And if I could do something to help you, and wouldn't do it, I'd be a brute. If you're needing healing, I couldn't heal you. But if the Word (being first) says that He died for this purpose, then He will come by the Holy Spirit and do the same thing he did here on earth. That's the last and only thing He can do. He sent His Word, then He put His gifts in the church. He died for the purpose, come back and living in His church, in His purpose doing the very same thing that He died for, confirming the Word with signs following.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

58 Course, you're wearing glasses, but that is what you want prayer for, is your eye. Not only that, but your ears also. That's right. Do you believe me to be His prophet? Let me tell you this, then you'll believe me. I see someone else appear. It's a friend of yours that doesn't live here. It's a person that lives in a city called Mesa, and the man has got ... the person has got undeveloped eyes, and you're praying for him. Is that right? Now do you believe me? Then go receive what you ask for in the name of the Lord.
Do you believe with all your heart? Have faith then.

59 Now, you new-born babies in Christ, do you solemnly understand that the Lord Jesus you accepted a few minutes ago, is right here now? Do you see what that was dealing with your heart? It was Christ. Here He is up here moving on the platform visible, not in behind dark curtains or somewhere else: right here before you people. God doesn't go behind dark curtains to deal. That's a perverting spirit. And what is a perverted spirit? One that should be righteous, perverted to do wrong.
Now, lady. The lady, she... No, I thought she was deaf, but she can't speak English. You come to interpret for her. Right. Speak to her as I speak. Do you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you believe me to be His prophet? If God will tell me what you are here for, will you receive it?

60 Now, you know that I don't know you. I can't even speak your language, but the God of Heaven speaks all language. You are here, wanting me to pray for you, for a growth. If that is right, raise up your hand. That growth is on your left breast. If that's right, wave your hand. And this is your husband, and you want prayer for him, because he has got a skin disease. That is right. Then you want prayer for a son, and the reason you want prayer for him is because he walks in his sleep with his eyes open. Receive in the name of the Lord Jesus and be made well. Amen.
Does thou believe on the Son of God? Now, surely that would settle mental telepathy for you.

61 We are strangers to each other, but do you believe that God is able, sir, to help me to know what you're here for? And whatever you want from Him, you have in your heart, and ask Him and let ... then He has no voice on the earth but our voice. We are His branches the branches bears the fruit.
Oh, how wonderful! How we bless our dear Lord Jesus for His goodness. You want me to pray for a growth that's on you. That's right. And that growth is behind here in the back. And then you have a hernia that's to be prayed for. Do you believe now? Maybe I say this: You want me to pray for your wife too, don't you? That's exactly right. Now, I am not reading your mind, but you couldn't hide it. Do you believe you receive what you ask for? Then, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ may you receive it. Amen. God bless you, sir.

62 Do you believe? Don't move now; sit still. See, each one of you are spirits, and everyone of those spirits is right in my control, see. Now I'm trying to help you. When you move that just... I can't explain it; there's no need of trying it. But what it does, it displeases the Holy Spirit, see. It displeases Him, because I've asked you to be reverent, please. Don't move around; sit quiet just a moment.
All right, lady. For the boy. How would I know it was for the boy, because I see the boy right above you. Now, I want to talk to you just a moment. If the God of heaven will help me to know what you want for this little lad, will you believe that the Lord will grant it? The boy is shadowed. One thing, the little fellow has asthma. But that's not the main thing. I shall speak a word that he wouldn't understand: leukemia.

63 And that you might know that I am here to help you, he has a sister that has got crossed eyes. Do you believe the God of Heaven is close? Come here, little lad. Oh, blessed God, in the name of thy beloved Son the Lord Jesus, I condemn this enemy, and cast it away from the child by the authority of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and His divine promise which said, "In My name they shall cast out evil spirits." Thou demon that would try to rob this child, leave it. We, as the church of God, adjure thee by the living God that you depart from the child, and may it be made well. My little brother, I bless thee, as God's servant, in the name of Jesus Christ for you healing. Amen. Don't weary, mother; go believing now, and write me a testimony.

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

64 Just a minute, lady. Wasn't you the one on the platform? You laid your hand on that man that had a blue coat on. Yes. The lady sitting on the end there suffers from a stroke. That's right. And, sir, that to be your wife; you're husband and wife. And you're praying for somebody else that's got a stroke, and that's your brother, and he's in California. If that's right, raise your hand. Do you believe me to be God's prophet ... or, His servant? Then, as you believe may the Lord God of Heaven give it to you.
Do you believe that you could be well? Oh, Jesus, I condemn the devil and ask it to leave my sister, in Jesus Christ name. Amen. Go believing, rejoicing, and being happy.

65 God can heal stomach trouble just as easy as anything. Do you believe it? Do you believe that he will make you well, let you eat? You got all nervous, causes a peptic condition in the stomach, and ulcers. But God is able to take that out, and to make you well. Of course, you got other things too, which is a man's trouble at your age would actually have. But do you believe that He will make you well?
Then, our Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray that You heal this man for Your glory. Amen. The Lord God bless it.

66 Do you believe that God can heal that heart trouble and make it well? Little girl, Brother Branham has a little Sarah at home about your age. And I love her, and I know mommy and poppy loves you, but there's somebody loves you more than they do; that's Jesus. And in the days when Jesus was here on earth, He took little girls like you, and put His hands on them, and blessed them and... Do you believe if He was here now and put His hands on you, you'd get well wouldn't you? Well, you know Jesus went up to Heaven in a body, but He sent His Spirit back down. Do you believe he sent Brother Branham to lay my hands on you and you'll get well? Bless your little childish heart, honey. You shall have that you ask for.
O God, I now, as your servant, if I've found grace in Your sight, I pray for this little girl. And I cast out this spirit that would choke her little heart down. May she live and be well. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen. Bless you, honey. You write her testimony, sister, and believe with all your heart.

67 Little lady, sitting right inside there looking at me. You want your eyes healed, don't you? Yes, yeah. You're sitting there praying for your eyes; that's right. Now, you can have it if you believe it. Amen.
You think that God could heal arthritis, sir? You do? When that little lady was healed, Something struck you. Is that right? That light went from the woman to you, and I seen you stiffening, trying to walk, and you got arthritis. That's right. And you were praying that the same thing could happen to you. Raise up your hands if that's right. All right. Now, if you believe with all your heart you can have what you ask for.

68 Just a moment. Oh, don't think I'm beside myself; I'm not. This little lady here is suffering with a female trouble. That's right. And way back in the back, is a little Mexican woman, and she is putting her handkerchief up to her face, and she has female trouble, and her husband is sitting next to her, a minister. You're both healed Christ... That streak of darkness has left and light shines over you both. The Lord bless.
Do you believe?
Do you believe God will heal you of that cancer, Sir? ["I do, brother."] Then in the name of Jesus Christ may this thing be done. Amen. God bless you, my brother.
Do you believe? Then, let every one be healed. I want to ask you: After I leave, will you come to the altar, every sinner, and repeat of your sins? Will you do it?
Let's bow our heads just a moment.

69 O Eternal God, bless these handkerchiefs, for the healing of the sick people. And, O Jesus, for every person that's here now that's suffering, we believe that You are the Son of the living God. You are not dead, but You are living. And You are living here in us, and witness tonight, showing the infallible signs of Your resurrection. And declaring to us in this great dark hour, just before the breaking of day, You are proving to us, Your Messiahship, that You have raised from the dead, and are doing the same things here that You did when You were here on earth, to prove Your Messiahship. We are without excuse, in our unbelief. And I pray that You will take away every bit of sickness and affliction in the church tonight---all the sins in here.

70 And I now charge the devil as being guilty of every evil thing that is represented in this church tonight. And by the prayer of faith I ask the devil to leave every person here, In Jesus Christ's name.
Now, if you believe the Lord Jesus with all your heart, stand up to your feet and accept your healing, and you sinners rush to the altar for repentance.
