The Summa Theologica
This translation was made by the Dominican Fathers of the English Province, and published in 1947. It is reproduced here (in a lightly updated form) with the gracious permission of the provincial superior of that Province, Fr. Alan White, o.p.
My main editorial changes from the 1947 edition were
A) to replace, insofar as possible, the archaic forms of pronouns ("thou", "your", "thine" "you") and verbs ("abides", "can", "send" etc.) with their current forms, thereby hopefully providing a more readable text for today; and
B) to remove many of the translators' references to the Douay Bible, so little used today.
